Again surprised they didn't go with Snivy for the grass starter pick. It's final evo literally has a fleur-de-lis on its stomach. Turning it into a grass/fairy type to represent the rich and royal opulence of French nobility. Or maybe a poison type to represent how they were a drain or leech on the poor. Or again maybe ghost to represent the dead nobles of the revolution.
Look I love our Chikorita baby. But she would not have been my first pick.
Honestly yeah with Kalos being France I would've thought they'd have more french theme.
