POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!!!!!!!
So after the ephemere episode the other day i was scrolling on tiktok and came across someone saying they’re sick of the “what if” episodes and the fake reveals and they arent adding to the plot. Which I totally get their feelings and they are justified but it got me thinking and i have to disagree with this person. To be honest there are really only 3 episodes where this happens: Oblivio, Chat Blanc, Ephemere. While i can understand why they feel like these episodes might be pointless since the characters forget everything, these episodes are HIGHLY important for the viewer. There are SO MANY possible ways that the reveal could happen and eventually when it does happen fans are going to complain about something. To me these episodes are the writers ways of saying “here’s why this cant happen”. So in Chat Blanc we saw what would happen if Adrien found out first and said nothing to ladybug. He kept it a secret a romance erupted and hawkmoth found out because Adrien knew that marinette could absolutely NOT be akumatized so he gave away his secret not caring who might see him. If adrien had not known he might have been more cautious on revealing his identity or been less afraid of marinette getting akumatized. In Ephemere it was kind of the opposite marinette knew but adrien didnt and she kept it a secret because she was afraid. She eventually told him and once again a romance ensued and they were discovered because they were no longer as cautious as they typically are (adrien would never call marinette or anyone m’lady outside of chat noir). So revealing their identities to each other makes them less cautious because they only worry about each other figuring out who they are and ultimately leads to hawkmoth discovering their identities. Now in Oblivio i personally dont consider it a “what if” cuz they have no memories so theyre not really “in character “ but for the sake of argument ill continue. In Oblivio they find out who the other is TOGETHER. It is a mutual reveal. No one is trying to hide it from the other and there is not some elaborate one sided reveal that could lead to danger. They share who they are together and neither of them have to think about potential consequences (adrien in chat blanc and marinette in ephemere). It works because they share the responsibility together. To me these episodes prove that the reveal HAS to be mutual if it is going to work. It can’t be dragged out and overthought like marinette in ephemere and it cant be spontaneous and out of no where like adrien in chat blanc. Its something that has to occur in the right circumstances and TOGETHER. Like everything they are a team and they have to do this together. Otherwise Hawkmoth gets the upper hand and everyone loses. This is just a personal thought and my apologies if anyone has already talked about something like this.

Made with speech to text, forgive whatever typos there are.
Adrian Sanz literally can only ever react and come up with the stupidest fucking possible reaction, they have no idea how to think for themselves, they have no idea how to actually compose an original argument except for arguing against whatever people who criticize Adrien are saying.
One time I literally said that we shouldn't blame Adrian for what he did while he was akumatized, and not one, not two, but three different Adrian stands randomly came out of the woodwork to argue with me that yes, we should hold Adrian responsible for what he did his cat luck, because they think cat block was very polite and nice and chivalrous.
They will literally see us say that something wasn't Adrian's fault, but since they are literally incapable of any kind of critical I thought at all, they have to just immediately fucking take the opposite stamps, because they have no idea what they're actually arguing for and what side they're on, they just know that they don't like us, so they have to automatically disagree with anything we say, no matter how common sense and basic what we are saying is.
I literally said that Adrienne should not be held accountable for his actions as cat Blanc, and Adrian stans started arguing with me that we should.
I said once that neither Marinette nor Adrien should be held responsible for what they did in Oblivio when their memories were wiped, because they weren't in their right minds. We can't blame Adrien or Marinette for that kiss, because they had all of their memories erased and had no context for anything.
And once again, Adrian Stan's poured out of the woodwork to argue that they should in fact be held accountable for what they did when their memories were gone and what they did with their memories were gone totally counts and is totally realistic for their characters, and they were totally in their right Minds, despite the fact that they had literally zero memories and if Gabriel weren't a fucking slot demanding idiot, he could have literally walked up to them said hi I'm your best friend can I borrow your miraculous quick, they would have given them to him.
You can literally say something that benefits Adrian, and because Adrian stands are complete fucking idiots who have no idea how to think for themselves, they will immediately take the opposite stance because they don't actually know how to fucking make an argument, they have no idea what they are doing, they just sit see you say something and decide to argue against it no matter what it is, because they are literally incapable of thinking for themselves.
Adrien stans are the definition of reactionary embarrassment.
These people are so fucking hilariously pathetic that they have now made a Marinette salt prompts blog in a fucking hilarious parody of my writing prompt blogs, where they literally even copy and pasted part of the bio and are mocking me for being non-binary on Delta sick, because they have literally nothing better to do. They claim to like this character and think that he's genuinely a good person, so clearly that means that they need to waste their time making shit like this? Lol?? Adrian Stan's will never ever ever do anything for themselves without someone else doing something that they don't like first. They will only ever react, because that is as far as their planning skills go. They will literally never organized or do anything constructive, because that would require thinking ahead and thinking critically and thinking for themselves, and that is beyond them.
If it weren't, if they were capable of thinking for themselves instead of just reacting to what other people do or what they are told, they would of course realize that Adrien agreste is not a good person just because the writers tell you he is. They would be able to look beyond what the writing it tells you and see what the character is actually doing.
But no, these people are happy to be racist, misogynistic, transphobic, and ableist, because that doesn't require them actually using any critical thinking at all.

Truth Or Dare Confessions Adrinette April Day 11- Truth or Dare
Previous || Next || All
Summary-
Adrien and Marinette reveal a bit too much during a game of truth or dare
Notes-
Late day 11 but I’ll catch up eventually! Hope you like it :)
Word Count-

AO3
Begin
“Alya I can’t do this!” Marinette whined as they walked to the brunette’s house.
“It’s just for a couple hours you’ll survive. It’s not everyday we get out whole block early and I want to talk advantage of it.” Alya replied with a smile.
M. Mendeleiev had caught a cold and had been told to go home, lest she get the children sick. No one could find a substitute on such short notice, so the kids were sent home early.
“But Adrien will be there! I won’t be able to speak coherently for hours.” Marinette grabbed Alya’s arm so that she’d stop and look into her eyes.
“Well Adrien is asking his dad right now, so who knows maybe he won’t go.” Alya said, trying to calm her friend down.
“But I obviously want him to go. Ugh this is so confusing!” Marinette dropped the girl’s arm and continued walking, now with her hands rubbing her temples. “Why can’t I just act normal around him instead of just turning to jelly?”
“You just have to try to see him as a normal person Marinette. Not as a famous model, not as your pretty boy crush, but as a totally normal guy who you just happen to be attracted to. Can you do that?” Alya chuckled as she said this.
“Maybe? I’ll try, but if it doesn’t work please stop me before I embarrass myself. Put your hand over my mouth if you have to. Once I start talking to him everything just spills out no matter how badly I’d like it to stop.” Marinette said sheepishly.
“Will do.” Just then Alya’s phone chimed. “Good news Marinette. Or bad news depending how you look at it.” Alya began while typing on her phone. “Nino just texted and it looks like your boy gets to hang out with us today!”
Marinette let out a squeak in reply.
—————————
“Get this! His old man said since his fencing teacher got a cold he could stay until 4. How awesome is that?” Nino told them as they walked in.
“Uh thats great! I- I mean we, can’t wait to spend 3 whole hours with you.” Marinette managed to get out.
‘Just a normal guy.’ Marinette repeated in her head on repeat as they set their bags down. Still she could feel her heart race as she looked at him.
“Me either, I never get to spend that long hanging out with friends outside of school.” Adrien had an adorable smile on his face and Marinette’s whole body heated up when she saw just how happy he looked.
“Well let’s make the most of it!” Alya said with a suspicious smile. “I propose a game for us all to get to know each other’s deepest secrets! Or at least do something stupid instead. Truth or dare!”
Marinette reddened, Adrien adopted a confused look, and Nino cheered.
“Not to be a downer but I’ve never actually played before.” Adrien said as he rested is arm on the counter, which bumped Marinette’s slightly and she jumped away as though she had been touched with a burning hot coal.
“Maybe we should play something else!” She proposed attempting to save herself from embarrassment. “You have plenty of board games that could be fun.”
“No Marinette I think this game is perfect. Any other game would take too long to explain and we’re running short on time. It’s ok that you haven’t played before Adrien, it’s pretty straightforward.” Alya’s smile grew.
They all migrated to Alya’s room and she directed them to sit in a circle on the floor. She somehow managed to make sure Adrien sat directly across from Marinette.
Marinette attempted to look anywhere that wasn’t in front of her, in fear of accidentally making eye contact. ‘Normal guy, normal guy, normal guy.’ She repeated.
“So how exactly does this game work?” Adrien asked curiously while turning to Nino.
“Well like Alya said it’s simple. We take turns going around in the circle. You can ask anyone to choose a truth or dare. After they decide you either ask them a question or give them a date.” Nino answered.
“What’s the protocol if someone doesn’t want to answer the question or do the dare?” Marinette asked, hoping she could still find a way out of this.
“Then you’re at the mercy of doing the opposite choice with no opting out.” Alya interjected quickly. “Now should we begin?”
If Marinette could chose, she’d say no. But unfortunately there was no backing out, not when Adrien was involved.
———————————
They went around once and found out some interesting things.
Alya confessed she couldn’t sleep without a light on, Nino dared Marinette to do a round off (she did so perfectly and looking at Adrien’s face he seem surprised), Adrien tried (and failed) to to whistle, and Nino had a secret obsession with the 1975.
Now it was Nino’s turn to ask a question.
“Adrien, truth or dare?”
“Truth.” He answered, since his last dare seemed to have embarrassed him.
Nino exchanged a quick look with Alya before replaying to Adrien.
“Who’s your crush?”
Marinette and Adrien both reddened instantly.
Marinette expected him to say Kagami, but his answer surprised her.
“Ladybug.” He said and turned even more red, if that was possible.
Marinette’s eyes bulged. Alya and Nino seemed surprised as well.
“Dude? I meant like attainable. Everyone has a crush on Ladybug.” Nino laughed.
“Everyone is a strong word.” Marinette said nervously.
“No I agree with Nino on this one.” Alya added in. “Nino already knows that if I had the chance I would absolutely kiss Ladybug.”
Marinette and Adrien looked just about the same and were all for moving on.
“Adrien! It’s your turn!” Marinette blurted out, hoping no one would see how flustered she was, and if they did, blamed it on Adrien’s presence.
Thankfully they didn’t notice.
Next Alya had to take a shot of hot sauce, courtesy of Adrien Agreste.
“Next ones a general one.” Alya said, earning shouts of protest. “I can do it because I proposed the game.”
Marinette’s mind was still reeling from the knowledge that Adrien had a crush on her superhero form so she was paying attention enough to protest.
“Who were you guy’s first kiss?” She asked.
This brought Marinette back into the present. She hoped no one noticed how red she still was.
“Can we chose a dare for this one?” She looked away from Alya’s prying eyes. As far as Alya knew she’d never had her first kiss.
“No, especially not you. Who was it and why didn’t you tell me?” Her journalist side came out almost instantly.
“Nino! Who was yours?” Marinette said turning to the boy.
“Alix in grade 3.”
Alya gasped. “I thought I was your first kiss!”
“I never said you were.” He said defensively while laughing.
“Well you were mine.” She grumbled.
Next, Nino turned to Adrien pointedly.
“Does it count if you can’t remember it?” He asked and everyone looked puzzled.
“Why wouldn’t you remember it?” Marinette surprised herself by asking.
“Well,” he began, his right arm rubbing the back of his neck. “It was during an akuma attack. I’m just told it happened.”
“Dude, who was it?” Nino pressed, everyone just as interested.
“Ladybug?” He said it almost like a question.
Marinette’s heart stopped. She would’ve remembered kissing him. There was no way she wouldn’t. She had only lost her memory from an akuma once, and she had spent that entire time with Chat. Surely he was lying. But Adrien wouldn’t do that. Her mind was spinning.
“No way!” Alya’s voice startled her. “Is that why you have a crush on her?”
Adrien just shrugged, still insanely red.
Marinette still sat quiet and thinking as Nino and Alya tried to get more out of him, but he gave nothing away.
“Marinette, you’ve been strangely quiet. Don’t think I forgot.” Alya turned to her with a determined look in her eye.
Marinette decided what to do just then. The only person she ever kissed was Chat. Adrien claimed he kissed Ladybug. Adrien doesn’t lie.
His reaction would say everything.
“If I answer no one is allowed to ask any questions.” She waited for everyone to nod. “My first kiss was with Chat Nior.”
Adrien burst into a coughing fit. Marinette smirked.
“Adrien, is everything ok?” She asked, suspicions confirmed.
He said nothing, instead putting a finger up so he could catch his breathe.
Meanwhile Alya and Nino had exploded beside her.
“No fair! You guys get to kiss superhero’s?” Nino pouted.
“Could I please get some context? From either of you?” Alya asked desperately.
“Nope.” Marinette replied popping her p. “Everyone agreed and that’s all I’m saying.”
Adrien didn’t meet her eye for the rest of the time, although Marinette used her newfound confidence to make cat puns for the rest of the time. Needless to say he was bright red. It was nice for him to be the stuttering mess for a change.
When it was time to go, Adrien received a call that his ride was outside.
“Marinette, Nino’s going to stay a bit longer. Would you mind walking Adrien out?” Alya asked and was surprised when Marinette agreed immediately and with no stuttering.
“I’d love to Alya. C’mon Adrien.” Marinette turned to him with a smirk.
Adrien stuttered out a quick goodbye and Marinette took his hand to pull him out, making a point to not let go.
“So Marinette,” Adrien began and Marinette already knew where it was going. “I know you said not to ask, but when did you kiss Chat Noir?” Adrien looked away, trying not to look to interested.
“It was on Valentines Day actually. He’s not too bad of a kisser either.” Adrien turned bright red. “In fact I even got to kiss him again during the Oblivio akuma attack, but I don’t remember that one. Much like your Ladybug kiss huh?”
Adrien’s eyes bulged out. “Sorry what?”
Just then they reached the end of the sidewalk.
“It was nice hanging out with you Adrien! Cat-ch you later.” She gave him a kiss on the cheek and walked off. She snuck a glance behind her and saw him standing there dumbfounded.
When she got home, she transformed to see she had over 50 messages from Chat Noir himself.
Maybe Adrien wasn’t just a normal pretty boy after all.

I see a lot of posts in the Miraculous Ladybug fandom complaining that we never get to see Adrien (as Chat Noir) be as awesome as Marinette (as Ladybug). Even in situations that seem designed to do so, like the power swap episode, it’s still very much clear that Marinette remains in the lead and more powerful. This, many posts argue, is unfair and they hate it.
The thing is: I actually really love it. I do so because I’ve seen way too many animated TV shows that have a male/female duo that is set up as somewhat balanced, but then end up downplaying her competence in order to tell the boys’s story. Consider Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail, Bleach, or the one that personally frustrated me the most, Twin Star Exorcist. Man, I hate that show (Yes, these examples are all anime, because most of the western TV shows I watched as a child didn’t even try to have equal female representation. Anyone remember the Smurfs?).
Miraculous Ladybug is the inversion of that. Here we have a case with a male/female duo where the girl is the leader, and she’s just plain better. She has more powers (depending on how you count night vision and purring), but even if the powers are reversed or gone, she’s the one who leads the team and does all the planning. As one otherwise forgettable tie-in comic put it, her superpower is nothing to do with the magic, it’s her brain.
And the show is not shy about that at all. You don’t need to analyse their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win in a fight. It has happened repeatedly, and the winner is Ladybug, always. In fact, she’s so clearly the winner that they had to ratchet up the difficulty for her. Can she defeat an evil Chat Noir… and also make out with him? Yes, as seen in Dark Cupid. Can she defeat an evil Chat Noir if he has been enhanced with the power of ultimate destruction? Yes, as seen in Chat Blanc. Can she defeat an evil Chat Noir and also like five other guys at the same time? Yes, totally, all she needs is a power strip that she uses as a second yo-yo, as seen in Puppeteer, in a case where her ultimate plan is just “do the same thing as always but twice as good”, and she pulls it off without a hitch. Ladybug is the better one. The show never tries to claim anything else. And that is, to me, really refreshing. If you have never almost torn your heart out in frustration because a show you watched forgot about the female half of its ostensibly equal leading duo in key moments, then well, congratulations, I guess, and don't watch Twin Star Exorcist.
That does not mean Chat Noir is useless. He’s a useful fighter in his own right, and clearly often the difference between winning and loosing a fight. He may not be her equal, but he is 100% indispensable.
For what it’s worth, he knows that and is perfectly alright with it. An interesting part of the show is the way its two leads are set up. It is generally not “He has quality A and she has it as well”, nor “He has quality A and she has the opposite” (aka a plug/socket situation). The defining characteristics of Adrien and Marinette are largely orthogonal and don’t have much to do with each other, but end up complementing each other very well anyway. In this case, that means that for Marinette, being Ladybug is a power fantasy where she, the shy, clumsy wallflower, can be bold and competent. Meanwhile, for Adrien, who is essentially in year fourteen of an eighteen-year prison sentence and trying to get out on good behaviour, Chat Noir is a wish fulfilment fantasy where he can be as free and silly as he likes. The result is that Ladybug goes for power and awesomeness, while Chat Noir is the silliest little kitty in the whole Île-de-France.
(These are not mutually exclusive, of course. Adrien is a capable fighter and, as seen in Oblivio, capable of planning as well. Meanwhile Marinette does a lot more joking and flirting as Ladybug than the fandom generally seems to want to acknowledge.)
This also means that the inversion goes one step further: Adrien’s role is, to a certain extent, to be the heart of the team. He keeps cheering up Ladybug when she’s down and unsure of herself (Origins, season finales). He inspires her to keep fighting on. Also, he’s the one who is better at dealing with small children. Again, this is not exclusive, Marinette is full of empathy herself, but there’s more emotional support from him for her than the other way around overall, because that is his role. He also often fulfils that role for Marinette, whether in or out of mask: He reassures her in Kung Food, builds up her confidence at the Heroes’ Day picnic, tries to cheer her up in Glaciator and so on.
There’s also the whole thing where he seems to be a meta-commentary on Batman, but that’s probably another post.
Another fun fact about the show is that both people’s greatest strengths are also their weaknesses. Marinette has a passion for justice, a strong desire to set things right that she thinks are wrong, and, like many people in the class, exactly no chill at all. Those qualities make her a great Ladybug, both actual and every-day. The very same qualities have also led to several akumatizations, because she forged straight ahead with a half-baked plan and hurt the people she was trying to help. Meanwhile, Adrien generally lets his heart do the thinking. That makes him great emotional support for Marinette. But it has also put strains on their relationship and caused him to make stupid decisions, most notably in the episode Ladybug.
(Not in Chameleon, though, his advice to her there was correct, no matter what so many people in the fandom think. Yes, I can back that up, I just don’t know whether I want to.)
This whole thing where the characters don’t have a list of “good traits” and “bad traits”, but rather just general traits that sometimes work out well and sometimes not so much (plus, for everyone, a general lack of chill), is one of the things that make the show interesting. It’s one of the ways in which it has way better characters than you’d expect in this otherwise honestly kind of mediocre show.
Obviously, the people who dislike (parts of) the show aren’t wrong, that’s just a matter of opinion. But I think that if you just wait for the moment when the show finally shows Adrien to be Marinette B, then you miss a lot of what makes the show so damn interesting.

signs that adrien “always felt [Marinette] was more than [a friend]” - or: don’t be salty, y’all, the chat blanc confession wasn’t just because she was ladybug. [part 2]
READ PART 1 BEFORE THIS ONE.
In the previous part I started to try and showcase the many ways the show keeps trying to tell us about adrien’s feelings for marinette while having him refusing to acknowledge or straight up denying them. I compared his reactions between marinette and the girl he loves (ladybug) and girls he doesn’t like (c/hloe)and his reactions around marinette were close to the way he acts and reacts around ladybug. it’s just a matter of the boy not being completely in tune with his emotions, and perhaps not realizing that having feelings for what he thinks are two different girls is allowed and doesn’t mean he’s betraying his lady love.
and there’s still plenty of evidence. believe me, i have A LOT of screenshots coming your way… and my opinions.
we touched a bit on adrien and physical contact with marinette in the previous part, and this is where i’ll start this part yet again. by showing some screenshots of adrien around girls he doesn’t like or straight up dislikes (c/hloe, liela):
here we have a downright uncomfortable adrien. he doesn’t enjoy the attention bestowed upon him and he shies away from the contact, very very clearly. which is completely the opposite of what he does around our dear marinette:
little things like touching her back, or pulling her closer to dance, or his constant touching of her shoulders:
this totally platonic moment where he teaches her the position for fencing, in a move that’s basically textbook dork flirting 101. which brings me to… adrien flirting with marinette, lowkey and highkey, and getting into her personal space:
“if you were there it would definitely be more fun,” and this whole conversation highkey sounds like him asking her out. and then he says he’s glad she’s one of his fans??? okay dude.
“everyone thinks you’re my girlfriend,” the boy says. oh no, what a shame, marinette i’m so upset about this, clearly, i’m just so not into that idea at all. you don’t look cute when you blush.
and dude said “personal space, i dont know her, i only know my very beautiful good friend marinette”
he’s totally not acting the same way chat acts around ladybug, no sir.
i totally give flirty winks to all my very good friends, all while saying stuff like: “my marinette lucky charm” or “cool, very typical of you”
i kiss their hand. i bow before them:
which he does around ladybug a lot (see: sandboy, “you’re the girl of my dreams”) and he also does in oblivio, an episode where he very much admits he’s in love with marinette:
same dork with the very same girl, even with no memories. now let’s go and compare his actions and reactions around ladybug and marinette, and then we’ll end part 2 with a comparison in between his reaction’s and marinette’s.
when the girl unknowingly compliments you to your face:
after marinette calls him handsome.
after ladybug says chat noir is better at fencing than her.
man, i actually can’t find any differences. they’re even in the same episode and framed similarly.
when you are trying to be very distracting around the girl:
oh, look, it’s adrien just absolutely getting in his crush’s face. love that boy.
when the girl kisses your cheek:
yeah, he clearly didn’t react the very same way both times. he totally didn’t do the same “smitten dumbass” face.
moments in which adrien reacted the same way marinette did:
and, as we very well know, marinette has the biggest crush on him. so.
i actually think that, at times, he looks more nervous than marinette in this scene from gamer.
a bonus thing that i find super hilarious:
“it’s rude to spy on people,” the boy says. as if he hadn’t done the very same thing before:
this is it for now, because it’s getting long. but i do plan on having another part focused on his high opinion of marinette, his protectiveness, and a side of flustered kitten because that’s what i live for. and i just gotta mention the heart eyes, you feel me?
NOW WITH PART 3.

Gale’s Top Ten: Favorite ML Characters
Similar to my Least Favorite list, I am going STRICTLY by how I enjoy the person’s character in Canon only. This is also my opinion, so Odds are you won't agree exactly with my list. and it does get a bit rambley
Let me know what your favorite characters are, I would love to hear about them.
_____________________________________________________________________
10. Juleka Couffaine:
Interestingly While her Brother made the other list, Juleka is a character I find very interesting. She gets a lot of funny quips and comments which you wouldn't expect from the quiet girl. She is actually one of the class that I find has an interesting character, she wants to model, but is lacking in confidence and finds herself in situations where she is photographed badly. She has anxiety but she still tries to live her dreams. She is a supportive Girlfriend Friend to Rose, a trust worthy member of the Help Mari bag Adrien club, and also just adorable. I love seeing her on screen and her akuma, while interesting in design has quite an interesting performance that is always fun to enjoy. Heck, the producers of the show used her Akuma THREE TIMES in season 3. She is a rocker girl with a soft side, and she actually helps give Luka a good chunk of his personality (so there is so MAJOR points for that.
9. Alya Cesaire / Rena Rouge:
Marinette’s blogger best friend and Fox Heroine of Paris. Alya has a lot of personality. Dedicated to finding the truth and being a good Wingwoman to Marinette. Alya does have a few faults, where she gets carried away in whatever catches her interest and sometime pushes Marinette in scenarios that can be considered Awkward, but she always has the best intentions and will fight for her friend. Now A LOT of people have recently become very bold with their feelings of negativity towards the girl, (salty fans) And I know an au or two have not been kind to her (one in particular that came out during Oblivio comes to mind). But I am not judging on Fandom criteria or salty au’s. I like Alya’s character and I can't wait to see more.
8. Lê Chiến Kim / King Monkey
The energetic Athlete who may be a bit slow on the uptake, but always down for a dare. He is the embodiment of endearing and he always makes me laugh when on screen. I just love how much energy he has. He is a dork and he doesn't give a damn what you say. One of the few characters that got even better in season 3, I love this monkey boy and his wonderful antics. Nothing more to it except, only he would bring a swimsuit in a train.
7. Max Kante / Pegasus
Our robot making class genius got a heck of an upgrade during season 3. His character shining like a diamond. He rocks his transformation, his relationship with his mom, best robo bud Markov, and his dynamic with the jock bro Kim are all wonderful. He gains mad respect for Marinette and I just love how he plays off of everyone. The boy is smart and has a way of getting a few good moments in pretty much any episode.
6. Alix Kubdel both Present and Future:
Whether she is a roller blading graffiti artist with some cute sarcasm or a time lord that is simply trying to correct history, Alix is a character I enjoy seeing on screen at any interval. I think if I HAD to pick, I lean towards present Alix, because I find her much funnier, plus her dynamic with EVERYONE is great, I was especially loving her bits with her bff Nathanael. but Bunnyx has me curious on a LOT of things regarding the future. Though her reveal did mean that adults got no time limit on powers seems like a cop out, but if the price is seeing Bunnyx then its Time well spent.
5. Kagami Tsurugi/ Ryuuko:
Okay, I know there are a lot of people that are not a fan of Kagami. You are wrong, but that is your opinion. Kagami is easily one of the most interesting characters in Miraculous ladybug. She is a mirror (like her name implies) of both Adrien and Marinette. She reflects the feelings Adrien has, growing up with a controlling parent with hardly any free time that enjoys fencing and just wants to make friends. She reflects Marinette’s crush on Adrien, both seeing him as the sweet guy underneath and not for shallow reasons. Kagami’s confidence paralleling Marinette’s when she is driven. Kagami can also be hilariously awkward and really wants to make friends. Her time as Ryuuko is also a delight to see. Now I know some people are all complaining that her characterization is inconsistent, and honestly, I don't see it. Kagami has always been an intense person, when she wants something, she goes for it, even if she is unsure of how things will turn out (her feelings for Adrien) or how to go about it (Trying to make friends with Marinette) She is honest to the letter and I think that is something very admirable.
4. Nino Lahiffe / Carapace
GIVE HIM MORE SCREEN TIME!
Nino is Adrien’s best bro. Nino goes out of his way to be supportive and caring for Adrien. The boy got akumatized because he was pissed at Adrien’s dad for NOT letting his son celebrate his birthday! Nino is so loyal, both as a bff or as a BF. He is a caring older brother and a cool superhero. The Dj/ Film director wannabe is a chill and fun dude that Totally deserves Wayzz (More then another turtle I know *Cough* Cough*)
I honestly can't find a single thing to dislike about Nino, he is just such a good dude. Sure he can be a bit of a foot in mouth guy, and can be a bit naive on somethings, but he is such a bro you can't help but love him.
3. Plagg
It Physically hurts me that I can't put him higher on this list. The two in the main spot are just in Leagues of their own. Plagg is the most developed Character in the series and I will FIGHT ANYONE on that. Plagg starts out as selfish and only caring about cheese but becomes a friend and Confidant to Adrien. He cares about his blond son and wants to see that boy happy and safe. He does know the rules and if he knows Adrien is not doing the right thing (i.e. trying to be another hero when he is chat noir) he will call him out on it. But Plagg also encourages Adrien’s teen rebellion, such as when he was so proud of Adrien sneaking out to go to London with his class. Plagg is the perfect Kwami for Adrien and his jokes and Banter is the best part of the show’s comedy. I love this little entity of destruction and I want more of him.
2. Adrien Agreste / Chat noir
Honestly Numbers one and two are interchangeable, but I think Adrien fits perfectly as the second spot on the list. I love how compassionate and caring he is. Adrien is an interesting character. In season 1 you would find that Adrien and Chat noir were pretty much opposites, Adrien was calm, obedient, composed, almost formal, while Chat noir was wild, flirty, impulsive, rebellious and a wisecracker. Both forms maintain his need to help others and his passionate love for his friends and his Lady.
Adrien/ Chat noir’s dynamic with Marinette/ Ladybug is always a delight to see, changing depending on which side is being seen. The flirty chat with Ladybug, the sweet love struck Adrien with Ladybug, The cocky yet caring Chat with Marinette, and the Sweet caring friend Adrien to Marinette. The love square allows for exploration of their character and I wish we could have seen it better utilized. Chat noir loves Ladybug, even if she doesn't love him the same way, he still fights by her side and will do anything for her. (a few minor bumps, but hey it happens, he is allowed a few hiccups)
As the series goes on, Adrien starts acting more rebellious, starts joking more, even a bit more flirty, he starts becoming more comfortable with himself and others, he even lets himself be selfish at times. He cares about others and he is afraid of being locked away alone. His fear of being alone has made him very naive and trusting of others, willing to overlook behavior to an extent, with the exception that it doesn't hurt anyone he cares about. (Lila being someone that has crossed this line, and seeing Adrien actually being intimidating for once.) Is he flawed? Yes. That what I love about him, he is portrayed at this perfect model, but that is more of a mask then Chat noir, and Adrien is slowly peeking out and I can't wait to see him shatter it completely.
1. Marinette Dupain Cheng /Ladybug
What can I say about this lovable daughter of mine?
She is without a doubt one of the best teen hero main characters I have ever seen. (And I am taking Kim Possible Level, Danny Phantom level)
Marinette is creative, caring, compassionate, competent, clumsy, competitive, considerate, and a bunch more C words that mean good things. She is a top notch designer, guardian in training, and all she wants is to win over her crush, who she doesn't know is in love with her alter ego.
Marinette has a LOT going for her and I enjoy how she overreacts and I find myself relating to her in a lot of ways. Though she is worlds more competent then I will ever be, and she is 14.
Marinette also takes the weight of the world on her shoulders, always having to plan ahead, always having to be ready, and now she is the guardian.
I can talk on and on about how amazing she is and how interesting her flaws are, but I feel so many other people have talked about that to death. I will simply say that she is very likable.
She gets the audience to WANT her to succeed, she is so selfless that you feel for her everytime something doesn't go well for her. The season 3 finale felt Like LITTERAL Knives in my back seeing how much unnecessary pain she was in, all because of something that really wasn't her fault. (I am still salty about the finale) I really want her to be happy, and I hope she and Adrien do get together in season 4. Or I will be flying over to Paris and Punching EVERY PERSON writer at Zagtoon. INCLUDING a punch to Thomas so hard his non-existent grandkids will hear it.
Back on target.
Marinette is a delight and I am glad Miraculous ladybug exists because it introduced us to an amazing Heroine and Character.

Not so oblivious anymore - p.1
This is the story that follows a scenario published by @my-miraculous-headcanons two days ago. It won’t be a one-shot. Rather more detailed story, so it will be published in chapters. I’ll try to publish each part every day at 1 p.m. GMT. I hope you’ll like it.
A.
Warning! Major “Oblivio” spoilers below! Some scenes are quoted, some rearranged, some rewritten, some added...
„It looks like my name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng…” Marinette muttered gazing on the ID in her hand.
“And my name is apparently Adrien Agreste.” Adrien read on his ID.
They exchanged surprised glances. They still didn’t know anything more. What were they doing here? Did they know each other? And what the hell were those two strange little creatures flying around their heads?!
“Don’t you have my name there? Plagg asked wryly.
“Oh my God! It talks!” Marinette screamed and tripped over her own legs.
Adrien caught her in the last moment before she collapsed on the floor. There was something strangely familiar in his touch, but Marinette didn’t want to think about it right now. She was too panicked by the fact she didn’t remember anything. She didn’t know if she even had a family, where her home was. And who was this boy for her…
“You talk as well and I’m not screaming because of that.” Plagg commented and shook his head in disapproval.
“You could be a little bit nicer!” Tikki cut in. “I don’t remember my name either, but I can behave! Unlike you!”
“You’re right you spotted bug…” Plagg winced. “Unlike me. I feel with all my senses that we both are totally opposite to each other.”
“What are you?” Marinette asked.
“Isn’t it obvious? I’m a super fantastic cat. I’m sure there’s a logical explanation what I’m doing here with you.”
“If it’s logical, we shouldn’t count on you in solving the riddle.” Tikki replied sarcastically. She couldn’t help it. That cat was irritating her.
“I thought you’re nice!” Plagg hissed.
“You called me a bug!”
“Because you are a bug! You have wings and antennas. Definitely a kind of a bug. I assume that a ladybug because of your spots. See? I can think logically!”
Tikki only rolled her eyes and decided to ignore Plagg. Talking to him was pointless. They needed solutions. Quickly! Because Something strange started knocking and kicking the roof of the elevator where they were trapped, as if it wanted to get inside. They had to run away, but Adrien and Marinette were too weak to open the door. Tikki flew closer to help them but before she managed to stop around them, she passed through the door as if it didn’t exist. She was free. So was Plagg, who followed her immediately.
“See?! We’re exceptional!” he said happily. “Unlike them…”
“They need our help!” Tikki insisted. She used her just discovered ability of passing though walls and flew into the mechanism of elevator to unlock the door.
“Thank you!” Marinette smiled gratefully, stepping outside.
Even if she wanted to add something, she had no time for this – the mysterious “Something” broke the roof of the elevator and it was about to attack them. Adrien took Marinette’s hand and suggested:
“Let’s get out of here!”
Seconds later they reached a staircase and ran down as fast as they could. But what could they do if the exit was blocked and Something they couldn’t even define was treading on their heels? They had to hide.
“Let’s sum up!” Marinette said, closing the toilet’s doors behind them. “We’re stuck in a building, with amnesia, being chased by a-a-a thing that obviously has something to us…”
“Not to mention about two strange creatures who magically appeared when our costumes disappeared.” Adrien added.
“Ah, excuse me! But the creatures are hungry!” Plagg cut in. “Could you check what smells sooo good under your shirt?”
Adrien was a little bit surprised when he found a piece of camembert in his pocket. He handed it to the black creature.
“It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen!” Plagg confessed with tenderness in his voice. Then he ate cheese at once.
Marinette thought that maybe she had something for the other creature as well. She looked quickly in her purse and found a cookie. And something more – something very useful at the moment.
“I’ve got my phone! We’re saved!” she said happily.
Adrien reached to his pockets and found his smartphone as well. Yet, before they shared their complacence, both realised that the smartphones were blocked by a code. The code they didn’t remember.
“Oh no…” they sighed simultaneously.
Suddenly, an approaching noise remembered them about the danger. They went into a cabin to hide, but both knew it was only for a moment. They needed to run away!
“We have to find an escape.” Marinette said.
Adrien reached for the doorknob to block the door, but the girl stopped him – she knew that this would reveal their hiding place. When their hands met, something strange happened again – like her body remembered something forgotten by her mind. What else could explain goose flesh on her arms? And a blush on her face?
They exchanged glances. Knowing that both were blushed didn’t help at all in finding a way out. Worse, the evil creature hunting for them was closer and closer – checking each cabin. There was no time left for hesitation. They had to go immediately!
Marinette looked around. And suddenly she knew. Just knew. That was weird – knowing something so unusual and being so sure that this was the right thing. And it was so familiar for her.
She acted instinctively – they should escape through a ventilating shaft.
“You seem like someone who always has the right idea at the right time.” Adrien said, and Marinette thought he might be right. But didn’t know why…
“We’ll see…” she whispered.
And no one was more surprised than her when they left the shaft and it turned out they were outside the building.

I just had a wild theory coming to me, what if they get hit by Oblivion on purpose?
Okay this is a wild ass theory probably not realistic at all but hear me out, what if there's a full reveal, and it's crazy real. It happened on accident Adrien saw Ladybug detransform or vise versa, and it's just the total opposite of what you think the outcome its gonna be, like it hurts their partnership hard, Marinette cant concentrate, Adrien cant either and when Oblivio appears they decided they weren't ready for this and let them hit them with it or something and the memory lost stays, or Ladybug doesnt use the miraculous cure. Just like on origins she forgets purifying the akuma, what about this time she forgets the miraculous cure or all of it together? So they forget all of their past memories and have to start over again?
Okay this is flaw in so many ways, we all know everything is gonna stay the way it has always been, but it would've been so fun to see it change. Idk I know I'm delirious but I cant wait for this episode, I have so many high expectations!!

I’m writing this for me, because I’m sick of some comments here on Tumblr. I should ignore them but I needed to write this because I’m tired of Adrien beeing made fun of. My precious little bean, he doesn’t deserve it. If you want to read this and share your opinion, I’m glad to hear it.
Premise: I like Luka, he’s a good character I think, but please don’t compare him to Adrien.
1) First of all because you don’t have enough evidence... I mean, you’ve seen Luka in 3 FREAKING EPISODES, c’mon, of course he’s perfect. Adrien on the other hand is the main male character, we’ve seen a lot about him. I dare you to pick the first three episode and say he’s not flawless (not talking about Chat Noir. I know he’s still Adrien, but he can act differently from his facade. We’ll talk about this when Viperion comes in).
2) “Marinette didn’t reject Luka as she did with Chat Noir, she likes Luka more!!!” wow, really? These are two completely different scenarios, wtf? Marinette (as Ladybug) rejected Chat Noir because they’re partners, they need to see each other on a daily base and work together. If you’re in love with someone and this someone happens to be your teammate, you need to make a point and establish your position. You can’t just ignore it and hope he’ll just understand. Plus, she knows they could never be a couple (!!!) because they’re superheroes, you need to protect your private life and keep it secret. So she doesn’t even think of him in this way. Okay, we all know she feels something for him (hello Glaciator and welcome blushing Ladybug) but she just can’t.
On the other hand, Luka already knows she likes Adrien so he doesn’t want/need an answer from her. He expressed his feelings and just moved on, knowing that she’ll come if she wants to. And Marinette is free to feel things for him, to forget about “just a friend” Adrien, because Luka’s great for her. Which he actually is!
3) “Adrien needs to learn from Luka! Luka appreciates her and supports her” do I even have to comment on something like this? Are you guys serious? Adrien has nothing to learn from Luka (about how to appreciate Marinette). He’s always so supportive, AND HE’S NOT EVEN IN LOVE WITH HER. Can you believe it? Adrien did everything he did for Marinette because he trusts her, he encorage her constantly, not because he’s moved by romantic feelings. I could go on and on, but you know this is totally true. Maybe Oblivio shot me, but I can’t recall Adrien ever putting her off.
4) “Luka is perfect for Marinette. They would make a great couple” sure thing, I totally agree. They’re similar, they click perfectly because of it. Would it work? Yes. Is this the best for her? Not sure. We all know the ying and yang thing, I don’t need to repeat it. Adrien and Marinette complete each other, they’re totally opposite. But that’s they strenght, they bring out the best from the other. Also Adrien and Luka are completely different: Luka likes gentle and kind girls, Adrien likes strong and smart women; Luka accepts life as it is, Adrien is stubborn. They’re both great guys, I would kill to have one of them in my life tbh. Don’t compare them.
5) Last one. This made me laugh, not gonna lie. “Luka fights against injustice more than Adrien does!” O freaking KAY. Not that one of them is the hero of Paris and fights constantly against his own father to do it (I’m talking about the fact that he shouldn’t even leave his house). If you’re talking about what he says in Chamaleon (the “we shouldn’t say anything about Lila’s lies”), he knows she would still win if they made any move against her. The classmates believed that a napkin could blind Max... I mean, I would mind my business as well. At least until the right moment. And not to mention that Luka was AKUMATIZED, it’s not something to be praised for?? “But he did it to protect the girl he loves, he’s so romanticccc” well no. He could act properly, just as Marinette always does. There’s always a solution, you don’t need to be akumatized. It means you’re weak and can’t control your emotions. Sorry, I said it.
It was not meant to be this long, but oh well. I’ve mostly written it for me because I was tired of all the bullshit. I love this show, but this fandom makes me sad and sick sometimes. In this house we stan one(1) man and it’s Adrien. Case closed.

Not so oblivious anymore - p.17
“So, how did you figure out?” Adrien asked, breaking the kiss.
“What about you?” She asked him back.
“I asked first.” He didn’t let her avoid to answer his question.
She sighed and slipped out his embraces. Then she took his hand and led him to the balcony. She felt a bit more comfortable there – with less chances for eavesdropping by her parents. Not that she suspected her parents to do so, but all those things she had heard from her mom an hour before, she could expect a little more control from their side.
“Just don’t forget yourself and don’t sit on a railing!” she joked when they went outside. Adrien looked at her amused and laughed. Then he stood next to her at the railing.
“So?” he reminded her his question, and she blushed. She sighed and took a shy glance at him.
“First, my mom showed me the picture when we were wearing some rags.” She said finally. “I couldn’t believe we put on something like that! Then I saw a few pictures where we acted like… uhm… like we were more… uhm… intimate… You know… As if we felt… As if I felt quite comfortable with you. I mean… It was obvious that we were embarrassed, but by parents not by us. I saw kind of connection between us. Do you know what I mean?” She looked at him uncertain.
“Perfectly so far.” He smiled.
“Then there were those photos before we kissed – when you look at me as if you wanted to ask me for permission…” she whispered and he ran out of breath. Hadn’t he thought exactly the same?!
“How do you know that?” escaped from him.
“Cat Noir would look at me like that…” she confessed and he felt hot. “Then I saw the last picture… And I realised that there was no way that I kissed Cat Noir within an hour if I kissed you first. Unless… You were Cat Noir…”
“It seems that we both thought the same…” Adrien whispered. “And… What did you do next? Your mom told me that your reaction was a bit unexpected.”
“She said so?” Marinette glanced at him embarrassed.
“She used ‘surprising’ to describe it…” he remembered and laughed when he saw her blush.
“At first I couldn’t believe what I saw. You know… That we were kissing… It is quite possible that at the moment I was watching it I wanted to vanish into thin air. Or literally hide under the table. A moment later I realised that you must be Cat Noir and probably I panicked a little…”
“I wish I could know some details!” He grinned like Cheshire Cat.
“I’ll die first…” she muttered, and he burst out laughing.
“What would I do without you, Princess?” he asked, embracing her.
“At least I can tell you who I’ve kissed…” she revealed suddenly.
“Really?” he was surprised. “Why did you change your mind?”
“Well, because it was you.” She admitted.
“Me? How?”
“I kissed you, silly. As Ladybug.”
“Oh, right! That was the other kiss I don’t remember…” he recalled the picture of Ladybug kissing Cat Noir that he had seen during the interview with Nadja Chamack.
“My poor sunshine!” she stroked his cheek. “It’s not fair, right? Your dream comes true and you don’t remember it…”
“You’re talking about me or you, M’lady?” he smiled.
“This time it’s about you, Kitty.”
“My dream is coming true right now and I’m remembering all the details.” He replied softly.
“Really? What’s the dream?”
“You’re my dream.”
“Yeah, I know…” she sighed and put her head on his shoulder. “You’ve been saying this for months…”
“No, Marinette. Not Ladybug is my dream. You are.” He corrected her, guessing what she had meant.
“How’s that?” she looked up. “You didn’t know?”
“How could I know? Your mom showed me the pictures just moments ago. I hadn’t known before I saw the photographs.”
“So… So you didn’t hear me behind those skips?”
“What skips?”
“Those in rear of the Montparnasse Tower.”
“When?”
“Just after we defeated Oblivio.” She replied, freeing herself from his embraces. She leaned against the railing and explained: “I detransformed behind the skips and then talked to Tikki. When I came out there I ran into you. You began acting weird after that moment. I wasn’t sure if you’d heard anything, but today everything became clear. When my mom showed me our photographs and I figured out that you’re Cat Noir, I already knew why you – as Adrien – were so intimidated around me.”
He was listening her explanation and couldn’t believe what he heard.
“You’re totally wrong!” he protested, standing face to face with her and staring at her with sparkling eyes. “You think I was embarrassed because I learned that you’re Ladybug? You think I kissed you yesterday, because I knew I was kissing Ladybug? You think that I told you that I liked you because I knew I was saying that to Ladybug?”
“Didn’t you?” she glanced at him uncertain.
“Marinette… It’s the greatest nonsense you’ve ever said!” he exclaimed and took her hands into his.
“I strongly advise you not to offend me!” she glared at him.
“I can’t let you say such things about yourself!” he stated firmly. “All I’ve done or said since yesterday concerned you as Marinette! I admit, that weird e-mail was a reason. And honestly, I still have no idea why I sent it to myself. I guess I was so impressed by you that I didn’t want to lose a chance to know you better.”
“Didn’t you write there a hint that I’m Ladybug?” she asked suspiciously.
“Why don’t you want to accept the facts?! No, I didn’t write any details about your identity. I don’t know why. Maybe I knew it’s forbidden to reveal our identities to each other? Or maybe I didn’t want to influence myself? But I enclosed your picture to that e-mail. I took a photo here in your bedroom. You look outside with that special face you usually have as Ladybug when you plan the fight. That was my proof who you are.”
“So, you knew!”
“I opened the file after talking to your mom. Before that I’d treated that e-mail as a spam.”
“Why?”
“I wrote there that I was wearing an old poncho found in a trash. It was highly impossible. But then I saw the pictures your mom had taken and I had to believe it was true.”
“Yeah, those ponchos killed me!” Marinette laughed suddenly. “How it happened that we came here wearing such rags?”
“According to my e-mail you talked me into this. And I agreed. See? I was impressed by you, Marinette. Not by Ladybug.”
“So… So you like me?” she asked finally.
“I’ve been repeating this since yesterday!” he laughed. “I’ll start suspect you’re asking me on purpose, because you like hearing this.”
“I do like hearing this.” She admitted with a smile. “But I’m not asking on purpose. Just… It’s hard to believe that…”
“I suggest to believe that soon, because it’s not going to change. Sooner you get used to that, better for you.”
“Get used to what?”
“To me holding your hand. To me gazing on your face with admiration. To me impressed by all your ideas…” he listed, and she blushed. “And from time to time I’m going to kiss you. In front of people!”
“Why it’s so easy for you?”
“What?”
“Saying such words…”
“I don’t know.” He shrugged. “Just… It comes from my heart. I can’t hide it. Maybe this is the reason why Cat Noir was repeating his confessions over and over again.”
“Because you couldn’t hide your feelings to Ladybug? What happened with them? Disappeared? You’re a bit inconstant in your feelings, Kitty…”
“Quite the opposite, Princess… Ladybug is like a bonus pack. I still love only you.”
“You lo… Love?” she spotted.
“Of course I love! Oh… I really can’t help hiding my feelings…” he whispered pretending being frightened by this discovery.
Marinette only giggled and climbed on her tiptoes. After this confession – the “L” word was a serious declaration, wasn’t it? – she had to kiss him.
“If they keep that pace, tomorrow there will be their wedding…” Plagg murmured critically.
“And children the next day…” Tikki added that made Plagg chortle.
But neither Adrien nor Marinette paid any attention to them and kept kissing.
