EDDIE FINDS TRUE LOVE ON THE BACK ALLEY STREETS OF EAST LONDON.
PIC INFO: Spotlight on an IRON MAIDEN "Killers"-themed Eddie Maiden with Heart Eyes T-shirt design from PopKiller (L.A.-based kawaii & pop culture apparel boutique), and one of their earliest tee designs, I believe.
Happy Valentine's Day 2024, people, even though I have absolutely zero skin in the game. It's just a kool tee design. ♡◡♡
Source: Lifted this from Pinterest years ago, and subsequently posted it on my Facebook page, but the original link is no more.

One of the big ones today. Started by bass player, Steve Harris back in 1975, Iron Maiden should be familiar to even people who aren't metalheads. With hits such as 'Number Of The Beast', 'Powerslave' and 'Two Minutes To Midnight', the band are still going strong today.
The Derek Riggs mentioned here is the original artist who came up with the band's mascot, Eddie The Head. Seen here as part of my recreation of their second album cover, Killers. He also provided covers for their other albums, including Number Of The Beast, Somewhere In Time, and Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son.
Quite pleased with this one! Yes, it's my interpretation of something that already exists but I still like how it turned out. The pose is slightly off and some of the background isn't 1 to 1 accurate, but it's alright. Also nice to see what I can do with some dying pens...

....his blood lust defies all his needs."
PIC(S) INFO: Part 2 of 2 -- Spotlight on promo shots and clamshell packaging to 2002's Eddie the Head action figure, based on the sleeve artwork to IRON MAIDEN's second studio album, 1981's "Killers."
EXTRA INFO: The figure included a custom base, hatchet accessory, and was released by McFarlane Toys in May 2002.

Former Iron Maiden Singer Paul Di’Anno Dies at 66
- “Paul's contribution to Iron Maiden was immense,” band says
Paul Di’Anno, the original voice of Iron Maiden, has died, his record label said.
“On behalf of his family, Conquest Music are sad to confirm the death of Paul Andrews, professionally known as Paul Di’Anno … and ask his legion of fans to raise a glass in his memory,” the label said.
The vocalist was 66 when he died Oct. 21 at his home in England. No cause of death was given, but Di’Anno had been in poor health and had recently performed in a wheelchair.
“Paul’s contribution to Iron Maiden was immense and helped set us on the path we have been traveling as a band for almost five decades,” the “deeply saddened” group said in a statement.
“His pioneering presence as a frontman and vocalist, both on stage and on our first two albums, will be very fondly remembered not just by us, but by fans around the world.”
Di’Anno was with Maiden from 1978-1981, appearing on the Soundhouse Tapes EP, the group’s eponymous full-length debut LP and Killers. His short tenure resulted in a long legacy with Exodus calling the singer “one of (our) all-time heroes,” and 3 Inches of Blood eulogizing him as “a big influence on this band.”
“His raw energy and unique contribution helped shape the early sound of Iron Maiden and left a lasting impact on the heavy metal community,” Anthrax said in a statement that called Di’Anno’s tenure “vital to the band’s legacy.”
Post-Maiden, Di’Anno worked as a solo artist and fronted such groups as Battlezone and Killers.
“Sad to hear that Paul Di’Anno has passed away,” Geezer Butler said. “He, along with the rest of Iron Maiden, revived British metal in late-’70s, early-’80s.”

Paul Di'Anno (17 May 1958 – 21 October 2024)
I remember it as plain as day Although it happened in the dark of the night I was strollin' through the streets of Paris And it was cold it was starting to rain And then I heard a piercing scream And I rushed to the scene of the crime But all I found was the butchered remains Of two girls lay side by side
