Synopsis: taking your rule-abiding boyfriend to an amusement park is a surprisingly fun experience to say the least

it takes a lot of convincing to get riddle to accept to a full-day date in an amusement park

heck, the moment the words left your mouth, riddle froze and smiled awkwardly, having been ingrained to him that amusement parks were 'a waste of time and money where people go and slack off'

still, he was always ready to try new experiences and get rid of any incorrect prejudices he might have

more so to you, his beloved rose who began pouting when he expressed his concerns about a suspicious place such as playful land

but whaat?? if he won't go with you, you'll go with ace and the others???

how can he even trust them to protect you??? there's no way

is the reasoning he told you, but his inner child undeniably wants to go as well

he studies up on all the available information on amusement parks so he'll have an idea of what to expect

also asks cater for advice as to what couples generally do and what spots are recommended

he wants to give you the best experience possible too of course!

once you're actually in the park, it's time to have fun!!

riddle plans the most efficient route so the two of you can make the most of the day

starting early with the rollercoaster ride! just in case any of you decide to throw up

"I still don't understand the appeal of these... contraptions. It seems rather reckless and disorderly," he says hesitantly, his gaze fixated on the twist and turns of the rollercoaster.

"Hmm... It's really for the thrill and excitement. I guess you can think of it as an experience for non-mages who can't fly on brooms?" You hum.

Riddle nods thoughtfully, though the apprehension in his eyes doesn't quite fade. "I see your point, but I still can't help but question the safety of this entire endeavor."

"Just relax, Riddle. Sometimes it's good to let go and have a little chaos in life." You giggle at his seriousness.

Riddle smiles softly at your enthusiasm, his cheeks tinted pink. "Well, I suppose there's no harm in trying it once. For the sake of this... date."

surprisingly(?), riddle enjoyed the rollercoaster!

his hair is all disheveled, and his clothes are semi-wet, but there's no denying the innocent sparkle in his eyes, akin to a child who discovered a new toy

like the gentleman that he is, he helped you fix your hair and lent you his handkerchief to dry yourself

says he's fine but his face becomes as red as his hair when you wipe him down

after that, you guys grab food, and there are so many strawberry sweets there he's very excited

sharing food and him getting embarrassed about indirect kissing hehehe

then it's back to the other attractions!

if anyone dares cut in line, they'll be in for a scolding from riddle who immediately says that it's against the rules AND illegal because you're jeoparadising other guests' enjoyment of the park :⁠0

riddle feels like the merry go round is a bit too childish, but seeing you enjoy yourself melts all his worries away

you're both beginners at pool, so it's kinda just you two fumbling around while riddle tries to use physics to understand how to play and oh!!! he got one in!!

cater told him that couples always go to the stall minigames and win prizes for their partners as a way of showing off

and riddle would never deny the chance to show he's a capable lover!

he very quickly discovers that these games are incredibly rigged (⁠ノ⁠｀⁠Д⁠´⁠)⁠ノ⁠彡⁠┻⁠━⁠┻

but thanks to Cay Cay's incredible advice, Riddle does manage to win a medium strawberry plushie!

when you comment that the shade of red is the exact shade of his hair and you'd sleep with it every night he died inside

around sunset, riddle leads you to the ferris wheel

the vibrant blue sky started to fade into hues of orange and pink and you sat in the cart admiring the view of the park and sage island

"My Rose," he starts, making you turn your focus to him. "I... I wanted to thank you for inviting me here today," Riddle's words carrying a sincerity that warmed the evening air.

"It's my pleasure, Riddle," you smile. "I'm glad you were able to enjoy yourself,"

He nods, looking out over the landscape as the ferris wheel gently ascends. "It's more than that though..." He continues, his tone a bit more relaxed now, "Ever since I met you, you've always given me a better perspective on so many things. You've given me so many precious memories..."

Your heart swells at his words, and you reach for his hand. "Riddle, I'm glad I met you too. I'm grateful for every moment we've shared."

Riddle blushes at your words. "If it's with you... then I'm sure every day will be exciting," he finishes, locking eyes with you and wearing a heartfelt smile on his face.

honestly? i think the dynamics would be really awkward in the beginning. like you have riddle who recovered from an overblot, slightly lost on whether to be strict or not...and then you have malleus who isn't used to human interaction and is probably wondering how is he supposed to act around not one, but two children of man

you're the poor soul that ties these two together; the glue in the relationship. it takes a while until they are used to the new dynamic - dating you while sharing you with the other. sooner or later, they get quite close and you'll often find them chatting together about the latest novel they've read or planning dates together

it's quite strange when you reveal that you're dating not one, but both housewardens. riddle nor malleus is big on PDA, they are very discrete with their acts of love towards you, so it comes to a shock to everyone.

ace, deuce, and sebek are impacted the most. they have to deal with the boys going love-eyes all over you the moment they are back in their respective dorms, waiting to see you again. they have to deal with a teary-eyed queen and king respectively, moaning and groaning about how they have to be seperated from their beloved prefect...sigh, can you just come over and get them please y/n? #saveacedeuceandsebekfromlovesickboys

lilia is beyond delighted!! finally, malleus has a lover after so many decades~~ his teaching skills are really put to use at last!

trey and cater are like riddle's supportive parents. cater is more than happy to snap pictures of you on dates with them (how he gets some shots are really a mystery) and/or suggest date ideas to riddle. trey is also happy to bake goods for riddle on your little tea-time dates together, constantly helping riddle to make sure that everything goes smoothly

dates with riddle:

hanging out in heartslabyul, painting the roses red together, grooming the hedgehogs together and laughing when one gives riddle's adorable cheeks a cute kiss

your queen of hearts have never blushed as he does now; his face is a cute shade of maroon, almost rivalling his hair color

tea time in the rose maze is a common occurance of a heartslabyul student to see on occasion. trey is more than happy to support riddle in his relationship by baking strawberry tarts for both of you to eat. you spoon-feed riddle, smiling and cooing as riddle obliges, but not without yet another blush

study dates!! riddle is constantly making sure that not only is he scoring well, but you're also acing your studies. just because you're his king of hearts doesn't mean you get to slack off too! of course, sometimes riddle's fingers linger on your hands and his ears will glow red when he gets too close. he makes sure that you're drinking some relaxing tea to calm your nerves, making sure that you're on top of your studies as always

dates with malleus:

hanging out around ramshackle, under the starry nights, smiling gently as malleus hugs you from the back while resting his head on top of yours before pointing out to you all those constellations

when it's too dark, malleus will summon an army of fireflies, their bodies glowing a shade of green that rivaled the shade of his eyes

he is very gentle!! if you're cold, he's immediately talking off his blazer and wrapping it around you, but if that's not enough, he'll also summon a scarf the shade of diasomnia green to wrap around your neck!!

sometimes, you'll bring along new flavors of ice cream for the dragon fae to try. you never fail to laugh when malleus's eyes go adorably wide when he tries a new, unusually flavor, before he tries to feed you the same thing

dont forget about his baby, gao-gao dragon-kun! he also orders one for you, but if you refuse, malleus is adamantly on raising his tamagotchi together with you.

dates with both:

riddle and malleus try their hardest to spoil you (which is quite easy when you remember riddle is the son of a wealthy doctor and malleus is literally an heir to the throne). sometimes, you have to reign them in, saying they can't just spend so much on you

the most PDA they'll do is hand-holding or a couple of feather-light kisses. they're very polite gentlemen who know how to respect your boundaries, so you never have to fear embarassed in public nor blushing until your cheeks are rose-red. however, if they feel particularly jealous/possesive, an arm would sneak around your waist before pulling you closer, their eyes glowing ominously at the poor soul who decided to look at what's theirs

they take turns planning the dates; riddle mostly goes for something calm like a date at the local bookstore, malleus goes for food dates so he can try some new dishes, and you? you suggest the daring ones - amusement park rides, carnival activities, and/or movie dates! with you, riddle and malleus are constantly pushing out of their little bubble, exploring things together with you

hello hello! i am actually the anon from a bit back who screamed about how cute ortho’s college gear was :D i really loved your riddle-trey-mrs. rosehearts comic, the painting the roses was something i never thought about with riddle’s hair but now the concept wont leave my brain, it’s hilarious and so so so fitting. 

but!!! the main reason behind my ask. ive seen a ton of kamen rider stuff on your blog and it piqued my interest! ive been a bit intimidated by the fact there seems to be a lot of different series, so i was wondering if you could spare me a recommendation where to start, please? it seems like a fun time :D

AHH! thank you!! I apologize in advance because Rider is very close to my heart so I tend to get wordy about it, but I am always happy to inflict share it with others. :D :D :D

the blessing and curse about there being essentially a brand new show every year is that there's a huge variety in tone, theme, and quality -- really the only consistent thing is superhero boys fighting rubber monsters. so you can pretty much jump in anywhere with any that sound interesting to you! personally I started with Den-O and I think it still stands up as one of the better ones; my personal favorites are:

Den-O - chronically unlucky boy fights Time Crime with the help of a time-travelling train and a bunch of idiot demons that live in his head -- great if you like a weird, slapsticky show that only takes itself semi-seriously, and has some surprisingly genuine emotional moments scattered throughout

W/Double - a detective and his semi-omniscient partner fuse into one superhero to protect their city, and solve the mystery of his partner's past -- a nice balance between silly and serious; if found family is your jam, this is basically that in a rubber-suited package (also one of Suda Masaki's first roles if you're a fan of his!)

OOO - a drifter is accidentally responsible for release a bunch of monsters into the world, now must stop them with the help of a shady corporation and a snarky disembodied floating arm (it makes sense in context I promise) -- goes more serious as it goes on, more plot-focused but also with solid characters, not to mention the origin of everyone's favorite 🎂Cakeboss🎂

Zero-One - struggling young comedian suddenly inherits the presidency of a giant robotics company, tries to juggle corporate politics with stopping a terrorist group of anti-human androids -- starts out pretty silly and upbeat but veers a bit darker later on, unfortunately suffered from pandemic restrictions so there's a couple of big pacing stutters (don't skip 35.5, it's not just a clipshow!) but still a perfectly enjoyable series

Ex-Aid - pediatric intern slash radical gamer fights sentient video game viruses, and it just keeps getting weirder from there -- much darker than the designs would make you think, honestly this one is messier in execution so maybe not a great entry point, but I did really love it nonetheless (Poppy my beloved)

on the other end, avoid Decade and Zi-O, which are anniversary series that expect you to already be familiar with past Riders (and, honestly, just aren't very good. which I say as one of the, like, three people who liked Decade. I love Tsukasa but he could only carry it so far. o7)

of course, these are only my opinions and you may find your own mileage may vary! plenty of people do not care for the ones I listed, and conversely there are some I hated that other people really loved -- the variety is one of the fun things about it! and even then it is a very specific type of show so it's totally understandable if it ends up not being for you. I appreciate you taking the time to check it out, and I hope you enjoy! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

5) Favorite characters from each dorm? Hearts: Riddle for sureee 💖 Look at him. He’s so small and angry. Adorable. Precious even. I want to pat his head and buy him a slice of strawberry tart.

Savana: I love doggos, so it’s no wonder that I like Jack, I guess nah, but out of all three, I like him the most based on his honest personality and maybe I also do have a soft spot for tsunderes Octa: I kinda wanna say all three - since Octa is my favorite dorm by far - but Azul stands above the twins for me, no questions asked djhfjdh I adore tako-chan so. so. much. ;;;v;;; he was my fave from day one and I’ve stayed loyal to him ever since there’s something about him that simply resonates with me a lot, be it appearance (hehe, megane) or personality srsly, he makes me so happy dsjfhjdfh Azul, my beloved (╥﹏╥) Scara: Kalim is absolutely precious. this boy just does not have a bad bone in his body and I love and appreciate him Pome: I think Rook is super interesting!  The way he lets close to nothing about himself be known to others and his overall eccentricity made him rise quite high in my personal character ranking (also he’s really fun too lol) Igni: I love Idia would even go so far and say that he occupies place no 5 in my ranking jshfjh his design is soooo aesthetically pleasing to me and he’s also just…really relatable Dia: I’d say Sebek! while I do really like Lilia as well (bc come on, small prankster vampire, how could I not love him), Sebek is just so cute and also really fun? another reason might be that I usually go for the characters with the thick/strange eyebrows JHDJFH

11) Favorite dynamic? ohhh, there are many dynamics I find absolutely intriguing in the game and it seems like with every new event there’s another one popping up that I have never given any thought to before but if we’re talking about my most favorite one yet, it’s definitely the fish trio Octavinelle is just…so captivating to me? those three were the reason why I even got into twst in the first place dhfjdh

Save The Gnomes PART 1

A record of our very first adventure! 

Important things to note: there are 6 people total, 5 of us have never played D&D before and those same 5 are girls. Our Dungeon Master is the only male of the group and the only one who really knows how to play. It might seem that these details are unimportant- WRONG. This dynamic made this game SO MUCH FUN and you will see why😎

The Very Brave, Very Inexperienced, Very Excited Adventurers:

Aravae: Half-Elf, Bard (Her flaw is that she can't resist a pretty face😂, she sings a lot)

Fizzy: Rock Gnome, Rogue (Very independent, so independent we lost her in the beginning of the campaign)

Norda: Gnome, Ranger (Most likely to succeed, likes buying weapons)

Quelenna Naïlo: Moon Elf, Druid (Serene in all circumstances, even when the person playing her is definitely not, hates being stabbed)

Torgga of Battlehammer: Dwarf, Fighter (Drinks a lot, enjoys starting fights and occasionally misses sessions)

SESSION 1

Somehow we all end up in Stevo's Tavern; Stevo is a nice dude, knows a lot about the surrounding areas- because people go to the Tavern a lot (obvi). People are coming in & out; 3 halflings, some miners, twins named Tor'Vopp & Elsha, etc. I did not catch that the two twins had names and that they were in fact twins in this session. In fact, only one of us did and I'm pretty sure it was Norda... Anyways. We are all awkwardly trying to get to know each other's characters and establish relationships of trust. I'm (Lenna) having a hard time doing it because for me- my mentor told me not to trust gnomes, I didn't think my Elf would like the Half-Elf and that's almost the whole crew. So I'm trying to find reasons to trust them.

Long story short:

Three Duergar walk in, Torgga is drunk as and decides to, ya know, punch a dude in the face.

While she was doing that the Bard was singing to make money, I was trying to befriend the Bard, the Gnomes were talking to people in the bar, etc.

Fighting breaks out and we all decide to help this crazy dwarf lady~! She's getting her but kicked and I'm an elf so I'm using magic to fight these ugly things AND I GET STABBED 👿 (I was so upset with the DM because I thought he was gonna kill me before we even had an adventure😂)

We scare them off, we rest to heal, and the session ends

SESSION 2

Lenna backstory: a holy oak tree (it's bonzai size) was stolen from my forest and I must get it back to restore sacred balance~ Norda backstory: She found a demon, I think, in the forest- killed it and has a strange collar and bag. Aravae backstory: Her grandmother has sent her a wand of great importance, but it was stolen and she is trying to find it.

The adventure picks up right after the bar fight. The group meets up outside of the tavern to discuss joining up to meet their individual goals.

We feel bad for Stevo and his inn (we caused a lot of damage...) So we talk to him and give him some money

A distressed gnome comes running through the door and goes straight to Norda. Her daughter's gone missing in some dark place under the library in the nearby Gnome village. We're pretty much BFFs now so we ALL go with Norda to save this girl (her name is Weebee).

Lo and behold! Tor'Vopp is in the library, arguing with Weebee's dad about how it isn't possible for her to be lost. Tor'Vopp is good looking ish so we've lost Ara😂 But we bully him into letting us go and look for the girl WITHOUT HIS HELP

We follow a trail of blue pebbles Weebee has left behind, and we are in a dark humongous old underground Elvish-type place. Hallways, rooms, stuff everywhere. WE RUN INTO QUASITS; Demons. We capture one and Ara puts him to sleep with a spell. Session ends.

SESSION 3

Quasit wakes up and tries to escape, we capture it again and Torgga slams him in the head with a hammer.

We continue looking for the little gnome girl and we find her! She had run out of pebbles and hid herself with a little bit of her own magic. Aravae, using her charisma, convinces Weebee to show her self and trust us.

I’m pretty sure at this point some of us were desperate to get out, and some of us were eager to explore~ I myself was really wanting to get out real quick and in the end that’s what we decided to do.

Fizzy elects to stay behind and we leave her~ that’s the last time we saw her. We assume she went on her own quest to the underdark.

We run into a Quasit being eaten by a Darkmantle, and find that our exit is being blocked by a bunch of Kobolds. We make a quick escape plan using prestidigitation to make some fake gold and some lucky rolls of the dice. It works and we book it out of there with Weebee on my back!

Kobolds notice the gold was a lie and are super angry! But we made it out anyways~ heehee

We interrogate the Quasit, not believing it when it tells them “the cage won’t let me tell the truth”, Ara speaks to it in Abyssal which helps a lot. It’s name is Scratchscab.  We learn that “Keevop” puts collars on Quasits after his sister pulls them into this realm.  They are happy when they arrive because they think they can wreak havoc and have evil fun, but they are unable to move, get a collar put on them that somehow does stuff to them through the use of what Scratchscab calls “a fat twig” (we think for sure it’s Ara’s missing wand).

The Quasit gives us directions to a secret place and we all head there; his directions are crazy and freaky btw.

We find a defiled, ashen, dying patch of land 50 feet wide. We spend an hour digging and it’s Torgga who, digging into the gross, ichor-riddled ground, finds the holy oak bonsai; my beloved holy oak! It’s obviously in awful condition and I’m freaking out so I take it and immediately start to head home. Well, when I’m quite a ways away, the ground starts shifting and wails and moans come from out of the ground; 6 ghouls begin clawing their way out of the earth!

The other adventurers are fighting for their lives and I’m trying to decide if I should run back and help them, or get this dying holy relic home. I choose my new friends and start running back. Good thing too, because my peeps weren’t doing so well. I thorn-whip some in the face and kill three of them eventually. I also got to use my entangle spell which sort of helped. Norda ends of finishing off the rest of them and we all come out mostly unharmed. Go Team!

SESSION 4

I gift a lucky leaf to each of my friends and really head for home. The rest of the adventurers go their own way and we decide to meet tomorrow at noon.

My druid master passes away, having his life extended plenty already by the holy oak bonsai; it’s quite the beautiful passing (flowers and new life and everything).

That night, Ara, who is starting to fancy the name “The Bard”, works it out with the tavern owner to also let her friends room for free.  Her performance is entertaining enough that the owner doesn’t regret his decision.

After meeting up, we go to Cappo’s and Sippo’s, then to Dr. Mimmble, the apothecary. We learn that Weebee wants to sneak off and recollect her pebbles, but Ara convinces her not to, letting her know that they��ll go ahead and do just that for her. We also learn how exactly Weebee found the secret door.

At Dr. Mimmble’s, they learn that the contents of the unlabeled bottles were liver reinforcement pills.  A few individuals in town are taking them.  Also, that many bottles of placebo pills were purchased a couple months ago by Elsha, co-advisor to the mayor, who told Dr. Mimmbles it was for a long, ongoing science experiment.

We’re super suspicious now and decide to sneak into the Mayor’s house.  Many nooks and crannies, little homes and tunnels and pathways and bridges for animals line the walls and ceiling. They discover a fat cute bunny and an animal tunnel connecting two rooms. Norda, I think, talks to it and it helps lead us around, but also turns over on its belly when we ask “where’s pidgey?”

We also found: A full and half-full bottle of liver reinforcement pills, a pile of clothes in the middle of the mayors bed, covered by a blanket, a giant gnomish typesetting machine, a hidden passageway behind a tapestry, the passageway was rough-hewn and dirty and somewhat dusty with rock dust, a simple rug and a doorway at the end of the passageway, which is where they now stand.

omg the new riddle fic was too good... the scene where they sing to each other while having sex was so cute it actually made me tear up 😭 and the way you wrote mc is so adorable. i love how assertive she was when she finally got comfortable.

and ofc it was extremely well written. and i been reading so i only had to look up one word this time (pomace) lmao. i never would've thought to use it in that context, so i think it's super cool that you're able to get creative with the words you see.

The idea of you and Riddle fucking nasty sweetly and quoting "can't take my eyes off you" is so *chef's kiss* to me. Riddle is so in love. That song is a perfect embodiment of his feelings. <3 if you and Riddle were to get married, I think that would be the first dance song hehe.

And MC!!! She's a cutie! I'm so glad you liked her assertive personality as the story progressed. She knows what she wants and she's not afraid to get it. :) I loved writing Riddle who thought he'd take charge for your first time, only to get shocked the minute you push him down on the bed. 😵‍💫 as if she couldn't make him any more obsessed...

Pomace is such a fun word!!!! It's perfect to describe Riddle's thoughts. They are but pure, utter pomace when he's around his beloved or when he's horny LOL. Especially when he's horny, actually.
