OMG WHAT?!?

Ref sheet done, lol. This took forever ahhh!! Ik it's not the neatest, but it gets the job done XD.

I'll go into more detail under the cut.. (lore)

Everleigh used to live in Inkpolis Plaza but her family had to move to the Splatlands a couple years back, to take care of her grandma. Her life kinda changed from then XD. The treatment for her grandma was expensive and turf war just wasn't cutting it anymore... so her parents suggested Salmon Run (Everleigh had no idea what this was at the time) but she agreed, nonetheless, after all if it pays well it can't be that bad, right?

Well this is where she developed weird "attachment issues" to the salmonids, she thought they were cute (especially smallfry), and wondered why so many people wanted to take their eggs, they didn't deserve that... So she started slacking off, not getting quota on purpose, giving eggs to snatchers, not reviving teammates ect... nobody ever suspected her though..

How she met Waffle..

One day at the end of a shift, Everleigh noticed an injured Smallfry near the shore, struggling to move, she went to help him but she could hear the helicopter about to leave, so she put him in her bag and scrambled back. She looked after him for weeks and weeks, feeding him, giving him a place to sleep, going on morning runs all to get his strength back! It wasnt easy though, as she had to hide him from everbody, she even took him to work (while bribing him with food as a reward, lol) he just stayed in her bag the whole time!

Eventually he was back to his bubbly self and fully recovered which meant Everleigh had to return him to the sea... She had always intended this, but she had grown far too attached to him, she couldn't stomach the thought of a co-worker killing him.. so she decided to keep him and named him Waffle!

The day she became an agent...

As usual she was on her way to work with Waffle, she was about to walk up the stairs when she heard a voice, it was coming from a manhole, she looked over and a strange old man was signaling her to walk over, he disappeared down the manhole and they follow him...

*I'll spare you the whole story mode Alterna plot you already know what happens XD*

After defeating Mr Grizz she knew for a fact she couldn't work for him anymore. She told her parents that she wanted to quit but they wouldn't let her, they said it was too much money to give up, then they started guilt tripping her saying things like "you really don't want to help your grandma..?" This made her feel terrible and she reluctantly continued working for a few more weeks... until she just couldn't take it anymore, she stomped into grizzco, slammed her things on the desk and shouted "I quit!" and she never set foot in there again. She traded the gold scales she'd earned over the years to a random octoling for money, (she sure wouldn't need those anymore) and managed to pay for her grandma's treatments! She now lives with her grandma and Waffle in a small apartment and works full time as an agent, getting paid now by the captain! She rarely speaks to her parents and will leave the apartment when they visit.

Side effects of becoming an agent..

.She doesn't have much time to do things anymore as she's always busy doing missions

.Her hair now looks a little fluffy, this is due to all the fuzzy ooze she fell in..

.She kinda developed ptsd from fighting her way through the missions.

.Feels like she can't meet Waffle's needs and doesn't want to overwork him.

These are just a few things, but she can't say she regrets anything, after all, it was her release from everything. She made new friends, defeated Grizz, participates in turf and anarchy again (with the other agents) and best of all she's happier now, that's what really matters!

That's about it really, sorry for the long story, 😭 I just wanted to get it out there since she didn't have much character development before, so if you made it here,thank you so much for reading the whole thing, I appreciate you!! ^^ I apologise if it didn't really make sense...

Hi Cas! How are you? I am in LOVE with your microfics!!! I never knew I needed Jegulus until I started reading your Jegulus, and I believe I have a new obsession to add to the list. I was wondering if you could give me advice on something. No pressure!

So my best friend has just started writing poetry, and I wanted to know how to show my support in the best way. She sends me her poems before posting them, and I feel like I always give kinda generic responses. I mean, I don't think i should offer constructive criticism (should I? It feels rude and I don't want to discourage her) and I always tell her that I love her writing and then quote the parts I liked. I just feel like it isn't enough. I mean, English isn't our first language and she's a bit insecure about her writing, so I feel really honoured that she shares it with me first, you know?

I want her to know that I'm extremely proud of her, but i don't know how? Help? Neither of us are great at saying the emotional stuff, but I thought I should make a gesture, so I encouraged her to make a tumblr blog. It didn't really work out for her, and looking back at it, I feel like it was a misguided show of support.

Was there something you appreciated from your partner/friends when you first started writing? Maybe something they did for you? I feel like I'm overthinking this, and she would definitely call me an idiot if she read this, but its important to me that she knows I care.

Yes, don't give constructive criticism unless it's requested. But I think you're doing exactly the right thing! My favorite comments (if I had to pick, I literally love them ALL) are the ones that pick a specific part and go into detail about it. It makes me feel special because if I really liked that part, it's a little dopamine boost that someone else liked it, and if I was unsure about it, it's a nice reminder that it WAS good. Also I love comments about what emotions I made people feel or how they can relate to what I wrote. Eliciting emotions from readers is an amazing feeling, and it's amazing to hear about. Last, ask about her writing. Like, be proactive, you know? When people ask me to read something I literally want to screech and giggle because 'whaaaat? you want to read what I wrooooote?' It's an amazing feeling.

Engage Drip Marketing: Brodia, Diamant, and Alcryst

Jesus. I was expecting Diamant today, and Alcryst on Friday if we were lucky. Maybe they really are kicking marketing up into hyperdrive.

Brodia tweet…

Brodia is a militant country founded in northwest Elyos. It's a rich and powerful country ruled by Emperor Morion, a man who values pride and strength. It has been at war several times with the neighboring Elusia, the ones who worship the Fell Dragon.

So, we have our next nation. Not gonna lie, Brodia’s been giving me some pretty worrying vibes from the start. The mountains, the red, the design of their king, all of it just screams evil Fire Emblem Empire. Like, just looking at its castle makes me hear Bern’s theme. And in some other translations I saw, Morion is referred to as a conqueror. Pretty damn sus if you ask me. I can see them being surprise villains (minus the characters you recruit) after Elusia’s been dealt with, or being used as a way to make Elusia seem more sympathetic (Like with Plegia and the backstory crusades).

Next, we have two tweets for Diamant, one with official artwork…

Diamant is the First Prince of the Kingdom of Brodia, and brother of Alcryst. He's been receiving proper education to become the next king, and seems to have the people's trust.

And one with his Bio…

Diamant has a serious personality with much fortitude and vigor, and he respects his father, the king, from the bottom of his heart.

And finally, his cutscene tweet…

As future king of the Kingdom of Brodia, Diamant demonstrates honor and dignity, and seems to be building good relations with the Kingdom of Firene.

Diamant: "I've heard rumors of you. I'm honored to meet you."

Alear: "The honour's all mine, Prince Diamant."

Diamant: "Also, welcome, Prince Alfred of Firene. You must have come a long way. I've read Queen Eve's letter and understand the situation."

Alfred: "It's really been a long time since we last met. It's a shame that we're in a time of war."

Back in the Dragon Awaken’s trailer, when this guy looked to the screen, and talked with what I'm pretty sure is Slyvains voice, I knew this guy was gonna be popular. Like, the flagship husbando of this game popular.

As for the character himself, Diamant seems alright. Seems to have a more stoic and cool personality. I’m fairly sure some level of daddy drama’s gonna go down, though. Either A: His dad dies in the cutscene we keep seeing. B: His dads gonna turn out to be evil. Or C: His dads gonna die, and Alcryst is gonna learn his father was evil after the fact. All roads lead to angst.

Next is the crit clip…

Diamant's starting class is Lord. As one who inherits the blood who leads others as ruler, they use elegant swordplay.

More specifically, he’s a Lord/ Back up. Despite being a sword locked lord, his animations give me more Ike vibes. Also, it seems the Brodian royals have fire flourishes to their crits, unlike the Firenese floral ones. But what really catches my interest is the map, of course.

We finally get a better look at that snowy map we saw Alfred do that super move in. Seems decently large, and with the mini map, like there's some kind of fortress/ barricaded area near the right. We can also see that Diamant’s level 12, so this isn’t too far after the bridges and defense map. I’m curious if this will involve the snowy battlefield cutscene we’ve been seeing a lot of. Also, some people have been curious about the break symbol not appearing over other ax wielding units. I think that’s just because Diamant isn’t in range to attack them.

Next up is Alcryst

Not gonna lie, when we first saw him, I felt the colors of his outfit clashed a little bit. Still, he seems to look better now, so maybe it was just the lighting of that cutscene we saw him in.

Alcryst is the Second Prince of the Kingdom of Brodia, and Diamant's younger brother. He often compares himself unfavorably to his exceptional brother, carrying a negative personality and low self-esteem. That said, he is quite social, and has the fortitude of royalty.

Alcryst is training with his brother, Diamant. A negative person, Alcryst calls himself "The one that isn't Diamant of Brodia".

Alcryst: "I'm grateful you'd invite me to train, brother."

Diamant: "Yeah. It's good for us brothers to work up a sweat together once in a while."

Alcryst: "I don't compare to you at all, brother. I'll be learning a lot today."

Diamant: "Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Putting yourself down like that is a bad habit."

Alcryst: "I'm not putting myself down, it's just the truth... When people talk about the prince of Brodia, they think of you, brother."

Diamant: "You're a prince of Brodia too, aren't you?"

Alcryst: "I'm the prince of Brodia that isn't Diamant."

Diamant: "What's with that weird way of putting things... People must be talking nonsense behind my back again."

Yeah, I think Alcryst is gonna be popular in the same way Marianne is popular, but for people that like twinks. I’m actually rather curious what his supporters with his retainers will be like, and how they see they’re lord. Also, it’s nice to see that he and Diamant have a loving and supportive relationship despite it all.

One last thing of interest, this support conversation doesn’t seem to take place in Somniel. I wonder how many more will be in other locations.

Next up is our crit clip…

Alcryst's starting class is Lord, same as his brother. Expertly wielding bows, they excel at attacking from range.

More specifically, Alcryst is a lord/ spy. Seems like each royal duo is getting their own title this game. We have Firenese nobles, Brodian lords, I assume Elusian princesses, and Solmnian… honestly I don’t know. Interesting.

The map itself also has some curious details. The bridge map we’ve been seeing for a while also seems to be rather large, and we’ve gotten a huge deployment amount as well. This is probably because this is where Alcryst and his retainers join you. Speaking of which, finally have a look at the pink haired girls class, which seems to be sword fighters. It’s a shame we can’t get a look at the jester girl (whose name was revealed to be Hortensia) and her retainers, to see what classes they are. Perhaps later. I am curious about the swordsman in yellow now. Is she also a sword fighter, a sword cav, or even a sword pegasus knight?

Also, I must admit, Alcrysts little victory bow was pretty cute.

All in all, damn, I was not expecting this much stuff to cover. I’d say I’d be surprised if we got anything else this week, but honestly I’m not so sure anymore. The old rules may have been thrown out, and this new age has yet to truly show its patterns. I am curious, though. Are we gonna continue in order of recruitment and get Alcryst’s or Diamant’s retainers first, or are we gonna cover all the remaining countries and royals first. I’m rather curious about both, honestly. Admittingly, a bit more curious about the more plot important characters.

Honestly, it’s so weird thinking about how these posts may no longer just be a weekly thing. Oh well, an excuse to procrastinate is still an excuse to procrastinate.

Reiatsu colour meaning.

Since his reiatsu is a deep or dark blue it symbolises conservatism but also responsibility.

“Although it appears to be cool, calm and collected, it is the colour of the non-emotional worrier with repressed feelings, the pessimist and the hypocrite. Dark blue can be compassionate but has trouble showing it as its emotions run deep. Dark blue is a serious masculine color representing knowledge, power, and integrity, and is used quite often in the corporate world.”

I think kubo deliberately choose this colour for starrk given how he we saw him act in the winter war, knowledgeable and with integrity. but he is also powerful being the first espada. he is seen as being quick-witted, honourable since he thought shunsui was playing dirty in their fight and able to keep up with him and thus powerful.

"This colour is one of trust, responsibility, honesty and loyalty. It is sincere, reserved and quiet, and doesn't like to make a fuss or draw attention. It hates confrontation, and likes to do things in its own way.”

It’s interesting that the colour means because as starrk progressed in life he seemed to be exhibiting all these meanings naturally. When he found purpose and had something to protect, his responsibility stepped up.

“This color exhibits an inner security and confidence. You can rely on it to take control and do the right thing in difficult times.”

Especially the last sentence, starrk has started to show those signs when he realised he was expecting and began taking care of his family by looting food for his pregnant mate -- which might not be ideal but then again he also started doing odd jobs in the living world to save up some human money to buy things for not one baby but two.

It has a need for order and direction in its life, including its living and work spaces. This is a color that seeks peace and tranquility above everything else, promoting both physical and mental relaxation.

Seeking peace and tranquility is basically how he lives his life currently. as mundane and boring it might seem to most. it is something he loves and enjoys.

Today has been up and down

Up and down up and down. It hasn't stopped. Not since morning...all i wanted was for you to have the best birthday.for you to be happy on your birthday. I wished and I manifested. And I'm so so happy to hear have had the the happy birthday you deserve.

Aw you looked so cute today...your birthday sash that was completely adorable on you and odlysuited you really well...i thought you looked so so good in it...every day I look at you.

I take a moment (it many) to take in your beauty. I'm always shocked at how much of an immense amount of beauty you posses...its like every day your beauty gets more and more ethereal...

The rest of that lesson, which was English went by.

I got the plesure of being able to look at my birthday boy being happy out of the corner of my eye while trying to write something down about lady macbeth or whatever.but ngl I was definitely more focused on you.

English is that lesson of the day where I can look at your side profile for 50 minutes streight. And I love your side profile just watching you talk to someone or look at the bird or my personal favourite thing to watch is you running your hands through your hair, and from the side I get the best veiw.

I swear most of what I do in English is watch you like your something very very interesting on the TV lol.

But your side profile...its like a ethereal painting of an angel...so beautiful...and also kinds hot at the same time...

But yes you are compleatly mesmerising to watch...so interesting...i physically can't take my eyes off you.

I mean im usually pretty sensitive about stuff like that. When your too close to someone when you know I'm around, watching or could see it. I try and egnore it with you and Sam. I don't like being angry and sensitive, especially not to you.

But sometimes it feels like I need to set some boundaries. Cuz you clearly dont see that there are boundaries of getting a lil too close to someone in the full view of your jelous asf possessive gf!!

Despite her not saying a word about it ever to you, trying to hint it to you, hoping you'd look back on these times and realise how they make me feel you haven't stopped. Ngl it doesn't bother me in the long term at all. I've got used to it. I got used to it with Sam pretty quick. But I always feel a lil uneasy when your too close for comfort or too flirty with someone else where I can see it even if it is just for a joke.

It makes me more uncomfortable becuase then it's like wtf are you like behind my back? If you think it's ok to do that in front of me? Everytime I think about I start crying ngl tears and all. I like to think I'm special to you and get special treatment I have no idea tho.

Bio ended at it was lunch. I tried sitting with the group and it drained me I needed dto be be somewhere else where I could sink into the world of my mind, and the way I do that is through tumblr. Making sense and note of the things in my head.

I sat by jake. We diddnt really talk there was no need neither us us wanted a conversation I just felt comfortable cuz I knew I wasn't comoleatly alone. Jake was there so I spent lunch manifesting you a happy birthday. Obsessing over you and getting jelous. Being pulled into short depressive random states

Thinking about you. Listening to a capella ariana grande until I felt selfish enough to crawl back into people territory, to get some attention. I wasn't quite on jakes level yet I still needed some degree of people. I pushed down all my negative emotions and watched you lie on the grass for a few minutes, before you went, left me and I cried, becuase my self worth had randomly dropped, and I was thinking about the whole thing I explained earlier. I put on a smile and no one noticed. It made me feel numb. But then I saw how much fun you were having and was happy for the rest of the day, had an emotional high during French cuz I knew you were happy and that's all that mattered.

It was end of the day and time to get on the bus. One of the busses had crashed into my grandads car, the embarrasment of the family (according to my mum) and everyone was talking abt it lol.

I talked to a year 9 who knew kally and ened up giving me a hot spot so I could text you. I heard you liked what I'd got you so I ended on a possitive note.

I did two hours studding with my mum and did an orp with you. I was a lil off then tho I'm so sorry. I'm selfish. So selfish. But I gotta tell you how I feel. I can't hold it in anymore. What I've explained here is the only thing I'll shit talk you for
