Sands Of Time Finale: Withered Leaves

CW/TW: Zombie esque plant gore within the character info of the post. While there is no blood present, it is still a bit gnarly. Be careful!

As the leaves crisp into the fall, slowly fading away into the winter, a sad loneliness can be found upon the now empty treetops that they resided upon. Alas, we must wait till spring to see the blooming buds and leaves return once more upon these trees.

However, that does leave the question, dear detectives, what if we could speed up this process? What could happen if one had found a way to catch the final grains of sand within the hourglass before they were even able to drop?

Perhaps that is something that only our newest hunter, The Scavenger can enlighten us upon within the grand finale of the Sands of Time Trilogy.

Hello! This part of the event came out a lot later than I originally planned, but later is better than never, right? Anyways, now is a good time as ever to reveal some secret collabs! :D

@thisbirch (Our lovely event artist), Emma ( @tatya-time), and ZM ( @ask-idv-astronaut) have all been helping me both behind the scenes and on their blogs to build up the previous Bloom Event! (as dubbed by Emma). Not only do I want to give them a special thanks for letting me beat up their Ocs for the general plot, but also for their overall good vibes and patience throughout the process! It was slow-moving to get everything properly finished up.

-General Event Info-

This event is a continuation of both the Bloom Event and The Sands of Time event. As the situation has calmed down and both Tatya and Alden have been given time to recover, an eerie aura has taken over the manor as mysterious vines and plants have sprouted around it! The Scavenger is still determined to keep their word of a reunion. Even more so as Nerium is still hungry.

This is where you guys hop in! Depending on how you interact with The Scavenger, you guys have the opportunity to unlock 1 of 2 endings for the grand finale. One good. One Bad. So be careful and use the tools I've given you wisely!

Additional Important Info:

-The Scavenger is a temporary character. After the period of this event (about a month or two), he will be leaving the blog for an unknown amount of time. He will still most likely be referenced via other characters though.

-Delilah's Paranormal Parlor is still open alongside this event/will close with it for the sake of allowing you guys to get more clues. I'll even say that a certain "Guiding Hand" would know a bit about our new hunter friend ;3

-The style of the event's end will be similar to Pip's Night Adventure, but most likely with fewer options (but longer writing bits).

-Considering the time past between the events, I do understand many of the bits of lore may not be super easy to access for new folks seeing this. So, just for simplicities sake for finding things/catching up, most posts retaining to this event's lore should be under #Withered Leaves (SoT Finale) or #Bloom Event (depending on the blog).

Leviathan x Gn Reader

A victim to beauty.

Snow hid many things, the silence of your foot steps, It soaked into your lungs like a victim to a deep frozen over lake. Parts of it stuck with you, the wind biting against your cheeks or the harsh slap to your hands when gloves don't sit right. Leviathan was used to all of it, The shot, the splatter, and then the silence that came with the fall of snowflakes. Something about it all was melancholy, a routine of sorts, something he had gotten so accustomed to that it was as natural as waking up. 

Was it some excuse for a schedule? For some sort of normality on this hellscape? He pondered to himself as he recounted his ammunition, once then twice, after the third time he realized he was fidgeting with the gun's trigger. It was a job he was the perfect fit for, but was it ever truly easy, surely someone like Lucifer or Belphegor could handle it, without any guilt too. He could hide it, swallow down the bile when the paper was handed to him, but all he could think of was the weight that came with the responsibility of taking the target's soul. 

To others he was seen as merciless, to himself, a coward. He never said no, never turned down the request, especially not one from the prince himself, Lucifer wouldn't allow it. Their gazes were colder than the snow melting into his knees, leaving a layer of frost smeared over the fabric of his pants. Everytime he questioned himself, If he’d finish the job or walk off from it.

He never did walk away though.

A quarter to 10, though the sun never did shine here. It was time for most stores to close down, the citizens walked around the plazas, chatting and gossiping. His eye glanced through the sight scoping out over the cities view, he was five buildings away, one that had been closed down for a few years, truth be told he didn’t have to be secretive, he was someone who could easily escort anyone in the public's gaze and simply walk away without question. 

But he didn't want to be known for this.

His sight peered down, gazing over the crowd mindlessly, hoping to capture the victim he needed as soon as he could; his breath hitched.

Were you looking right at him?

Your eyes wandered straight towards him, kilometers away yet you both held a shared gaze that made him drop the rifle in his hand, shuttering as he backed up. His heart raced horribly; face flushed in blooms that could put spring to shame.  His body curled into itself as hands grabbed his face, purple locks of hair dripping over his face as the sweat on his forehead began to bead. 

You were gorgeous, painfully deer like, your eyes shone perfectly in the lanterns light, the late night crowd swallowing your beauty with it, he fiddled with the rifle, bringing it up to his face, slowly but steadily the gun was aligned, he took a deep breath and peered through the sight. 

You were gone already, just as fast as he saw you, he missed his shot. How would diavolo react, what would lucifer do, he found himself fidgeting with his nails, peeling off cuticles until they bled as he paced furiously in the building. 

How could you have done that, his flustered state slowly sunk down into his stomach and was melting over into embarrassment, realizing he was thinking over your features again.

I've been thinking a little and honestly, i fully believe, at this point in time and with the info that we have, that blindspot is just a younger version of gatto. Their backstories are similar (bullied in school and raised by mother) it would make perfect sense for them to be the same person.

not to mention that idv already has a few skins that feature same versions of character (caged butterfly/madame coral and spring hand/steam teen) so it wouldn't be surprising that this could be ture.

OKAAAAY so so ngl... i actually thought that having nort.on, irene, na.ib and emma in one manor game group is really plausible cuz they're part of my fo list (and are very much included in lore) but omg i cant handle the heartbreak naur i don't wANT THEM TO FIGHT AJWKWKENDJSJSKS🥹🥹🥹 TO BE HONEST... i can kinda see her being associated with the da ca.po group (nor.ton, me.lly, orp.heus, alice and frederick) because irene actually is connected to nor.ton and orp.heus (she does not like him). and i think the drama would be so fuckin insane here lets be real

in that same train of thought - i think that would mean she would also have to fare off against foo.ls gold and nightmare (MORE DRAMA) and that is gonna be so fucking sick . also they look like this to me i don't care (ignore the ship mention wkwkwkwkwkw) LMFAOOAOWUSHRK

ok so, irene's skins are meant to match with nort.ons skins and like 90% of my artwork consists of just them in those costumes tbh HAHAHA BUT ID BE HAPPY TO SHOWCASE THEM HERE EEEE

so i don't really care about her skins being classified as a tier, b tier etc etc, dont matter as long as shes matchy matchy with him HEHEHE

let's go off with my most recent art of it:

1) this is eidolon! she is paired with soul catcher. she's a half alive (undead?) and half dead (ghost). she appears alive in the daylight and appears dead in the nighttime :3 the drawing in the middle is my best depiction of both mixed!

2) I don't have a name for this (help me /hj), but this is meant to pair with his troubadour skin! this to me is their peak of "good life" era :3 (together and married)

3) again i dont have a good name for this either EKWKEKEKEJ but this one's meant for an alternative universe called the constantine siblings au where irene and naib are adoptive siblings (and uses the spring hand skin) and she is also paired with mr. mole! (emma also appears here, in her boudoir dream skin)

4) this one's a current work in progress but this one's meant for ronal.d of nice! ive currently settled on calling her "dame of gold", its not final but its a decent placeholder name :]

5) lastly, this one's definitely a c tier kinda skin and its meant to match his cordierite skin. fun fact, this color scheme of hers was actually her original color palette but i changed it to green and made this an alt skin~ i named it royal blue!

and that's it! i plan to do more in the future (like black tulip, cornerstone and maybe some outfits based off merchandise hehe)

Ivy was sitting at her vanity debating what mask to choose for her meeting with her admirer later that evening. Deep down, she hoped they wouldn't mind her full face without such a thing, but she knew how unlikely that was. Perhaps she'd go with some sort of shroud with something floral. Then she could blame her strange attire on some sort of fashionable spring line.

She was soon snapped out of her thoughts as flowers fluttered around her room. She didn't remember leaving a window open- let alone any trees with blossoms like that around the manor. "What on earth?

She couldn't help but turn as she tried to find its source, holding a hand over the left side of her face. Her face was decorated in surprise and confusion as she made direct eye contact with the holographic gentleman. Multiple questions were running through her head. Who on earth was this? How did they spawn the flowers? Why were they half transparent? "Are you some sort of Spector? I don't think I've committed enough sins to require some sort of ghostly intervention. Nor the Tailor you mentioned for that matter."
