I think B'Elanna and Tuvok probably work together a lot in a distant, professional capacity and it's mostly through notes about what will and will not blow the ship up. Constant updates about how not to blow the ship up or otherwise kill everyone aboard which are increasingly and endlessly complicated and if Tuvok weren't Vulcan and B'Elanna weren't built with a mind like a diamond they would both just collapse under the weight of it all and give up but instead they're lowkey kind of enjoying the challenge sometimes. When they aren't collapsing under the weight of it all. They started their messages with B'Elanna being so careful about sounding professional but by year 4 they're not even using honorifics or greetings. They might be employing shorthand. When they get back to the alpha quadrant the admirals are pouring over their notes, maneuvers, quick fixes, and long-term solutions in both horror and fascination. In year two they had to trap an alien slime in the turbolift which is nonsentient and unkillable and it helps the turbolift (which was previously broken beyond repair) run but WILL eat anyone inside that lift if the power coursing through its body reaches a certain level so that particular turbolift has to stay lower-powered and slow. No power can be diverted through that turbolift or anyone who uses it will be eaten. Engineering Win: If we incorporate this alien technology which uses star power instead of solar power which B'Elanna found detailed in an old book during a shore leave thrift sale we can increase the ship's systems' efficiency by over 50%! Security Fail: The star power technology makes people inexplicably think they are a star, their longing for the twinkling void causing them to throw themselves out into space. That's the sort of thing that B'Elanna and Tuvok are dealing with. There's so much that Tuvok brings to B'Elanna like 'this is horrifically dangerous' and B'Elanna replies like 'this is the only way the ship can keep functioning.'

I thought about that too but based on the trailers (examples above) im pretty sure that it’s not a wig, he just greyed really fucking fast and/or was dying his hair black for his agent stuff in gaiden (which makes some sense because his natural hair color prior was more dark brown than black). something about it is still kinda off to me so take all this with a grain of salt but yeah… maybe he wasn’t in treatment long enough to lose his hair, or maybe he was getting treatment other than chemo at first– maybe he greyed so fast due to the fuckin stress of being diagnosed with cancer combined with being already deeply depressed and alone, or dyed it fully grey to match the grey hair he’d been starting to get– who knows. but seeing his hair grey and slicked back like in the second pic makes me think his hairstyle for y8 is just supposed to be what his hair looks like when down/not slicked back.

But then he hears Endeavor's been looking around for a match and he thinks "oh, there's no way he's gonna fall for an ice match right, he knows that would end awful right" but uh he fell for the match and the fake family in need and Rei's beautiful but aloof air, so,,, why not stick with it and see where it goes? it'll be good blackmail material, right? and its not like his daughter has a life of her own, or anything. he can bring her back to the base after and no one is any wiser, and she'll hate heroes even more and- kid?? and a second kid so soon? does she just want to get it over with? well seems like it's working, his underling tells him Touya is having problems with his quirk, but now instead of divorce and setting himself up for blackmail, Endeavor just keeps trying?? now four grandkids?? and Rei, showing her nerves on the phonecall with him for the first time in years, tells him that Touya tried to kill his baby brother and this one actually had the quirk Endeavor wanted and AfO thought impossible?? AfO decides nows the time to collect his family back and gets Touya before he can completely burn up, but Rei realizes she'd rather have her kids stuck with Enji than AfO, so she chooses to burn Shoto's face so Enji keeps him close and sends her away and??? i dunno she just hopes everyone forgets about Fuyumi and Natsuo because they're safer ignored and neglected than anything else???

oh i dont know. i feel like at this point nobody talks abt him enough for me to have a hot take. or at least i dont have to see it because i have #blocked everyone in the world. it does drive me up the wall though when people make him out to be like secretly super insecure or whatever. ive seen him and the way he behaves that thing has not felt shame a day in his life. and i feel like thats kind of important? to his character? because otherwise u get people being like ohhh he wears the mask because hes ashamed of his ugly face and its like well. i dont think thats it. like basically the only canonical POV stuff we have of him points (imo) towards an identity thing rather than any sort of appearance thing. and i think its cuter and more interesting that way. you guys dont like it when theres a furry?

I'm glad i havent run across that take - all the context Kui gave Shuro, in culture and class, makes me like him more as a character because it feels like a very grounded conflict between him and Laios as opposed to him being a bastard for the sake of creating a villain. but he's still being a bastard? he repeatedly failed to adjust how he communicated with Laios when he was well aware the way he was going about it wasnt working. He straight up acknowledges that he knows Laios means no harm, but can't put aside how he thinks people are "supposed" to communicate to improve their relationship. And he thinks he can just keep this up forever if he marries Falin as if she's not gonna want her brother around? Just because he's a prick with depth doesn't mean he's not a prick

people see that scene and say 'no shuro is in the right actually because cultural differences' okay have you considered that the way he treats laios makes me want him dead and if someone treated me like that irl i would want them dead
