Introduction

IIT Guwahati, in collaboration with E&ICT Academy and Simplilearn, has launched new professional certificate programs in Data Analytics and Generative AI. These online courses aim to equip candidates with essential skills to meet the growing demand for data analytics and AI professionals.

Program Overview

The courses are designed to accommodate candidates from diverse educational backgrounds. Interested students can apply for the programs on Simplilearn's official website by July 21. The admission fee for the Generative AI for Data Analytics program is Rs 1,19,900, which includes taxes and all applicable charges.

Pharma was forged a medic. When I say this, I mean that he was forged already with the tools necessary to be a medic rank. There was only one problem. He was also forged as a Military Jet. He found it hard to mingle with other medics, often wishing he had simply been an ambulance like most of them.

If he was meant to be a medic, so be it. But no one was banking on him making it very far. Instead of setting him up for success by placing him in a medical school, he was sent to a small rinkydink clinic in Kaon, initally as a records keeper.

The small clinic was constantly busy, always filled with patients for intensive care, as well as many overd.ose patients. Pharma was thrown into the middle of it, given that the clinic was often short staffed. He learned on the go. He absolutely had a knack for it, a very fast learner. One of Pharma's struggles was seeing how many patients were turned away out of lack of space for them in the small clinic. Pharma began sneaking these patients in hallways or even his office or habsuite, desperate to help as many as he could. That's what they're supposed to do, isnt it?

This behavior got in trouble in more than one occasion, but every time he was defended by the CMO of the clinic; an ambulance named Crutch. Crutch was an older, seasoned medic, and somewhat took Pharma under his wing, seeing his potential. Pharma during that time also tried to help out around the community. He offered services to add/icts of the area. Not just in an abstinence form. He knew there would always be add/icts, and figured the best option was to keep them safe, and be open to them if they want to recover. He would give out clean needles, as well as well as— ehhh... essentially a cybertronian equivalent of na.rcan.

The area he worked was unfortunately heavily plagued with drug use. Even the associates at the clinic often used it as a way to get through the hardships of so many losses per day. Pharma first got addicted at this facility, though throughout his life he would try (and ultimately fail) to quit.

Crutch, who was really Pharma's anchor during this time, repeatedly tried to keep Pharma off of those things, and helped him prepare and save to go to a good medical academy. However, shortly before Pharma finally left to be enrolled, he found Crutch dead at his desk. Despite Crutch always reminding him how dangerous the dr/ugs can be, it seemed even he wasnt immune— just very good at hiding his addiction.

Pharma grew angry towards him for a very long time, using substances to cope out of spite in a sense. But eventually he grew to forgive Crutch, knowing he only wanted the best for him. Crutch taught him many things, many important things as a medic. But he also inadvertently taught Pharma how to hide his bad habits away from public view, thus creating very quickly an image for himself as a Fantastic surgeon and someone above temptations, often boasting about how he doesn't drink.

But behind closed doors, he didnt need any high grade to get his fix.

In med school, he met Ratchet, who would he would become incredibly close to, considering him a best friend. Really the first companion he had had the chance to make.

"A compelling invitation to imagine the future we want"

How do we predict the date something will happen? Many works, whether scientific or not, point to a time with their own scales about the future. Blade Runner: 2049, Cyberpunk 2077 or 2062 is the time when artificial intelligence will reach the human level, as predicted by Toby Walsh.

So why 2062 ? Professor Toby Walsh says in an interview with Dr Waseem Akhtar that he has 3 answers to this question;

1. The average of the years predicted by 300 colleagues,

2. Choosing a name they can't refuse because the book publisher chose the title of their first book

3. In 2062, his daughter stated that she chose this year because she would be the age when he wrote the book.

Toby Walsh is a leading researcher in Artificial Intelligence. He is a Laureate Fellow and Scientia Professor of Artificial Intelligence in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at UNSW Sydney, and he is also an adjunct fellow at CSIRO Data61. He was named by the Australian newspaper as a "rock star" of Australia's digital revolution. He has been elected a fellow of the Australian Academy of Science, a fellow of the ACM, the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) and of the European Association for Artificial Intelligence. He has won the prestigious Humboldt Prize as well as the NSW Premier's Prize for Excellence in Engineering and ICT, and the ACP Research Excellence award. He has previously held research positions in England, Scotland, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland and Sweden. He has played a leading role at the UN and elsewhere on the campaign to ban lethal autonomous weapons (aka "killer robots"). His advocacy in this area has led to him being "banned indefinitely" from Russia.

In this fluent interview, which I listen to like watching a science fiction movie Professor Toby Walsh discusses his latest book ““2062: The World That AI Made”

Although the expressions "The End of Us", "The End of Work",”The End of Consciousness”, "The End of War", "The End of Human Values", "The End of Equality", "The End of Privacy" ,”The End of Politics”, “The End of  the West” in the book "2062: The World Made by Artificial Intelligence" reflect a pessimistic view, the professor's "The End is also the beginning of something" it is actually a beginning" gives hope for the future.

Although, morality and privacy in AI, how its effects on human anatomy and social life make some of us nervous about ethical issues, it is very clear that they will make our lives easier and add innovations.

In 2062, professor Toby Walsh touch on the impact AI will have on work, war, economics, politics, everyday life and even death. Will automation take away most jobs? Will robots become conscious and take over? Will we become immortal machines ourselves, uploading our brains to the cloud? How will politics adjust to the post-truth, post-privacy digitised world? When we have succeeded in building intelligent machines, how will life on this planet unfold?

Each question reminded me of a different Black Mirror episode:) the answers are like simulated.
