ㅤmouth opening to toss out another comeback, byan drew to a somewhat hesitant pause when the stranger below raised their arm. wary eyes watched cautiously, uncertain of what the intent was, but they were quick to duck down below the rail when a shot was fired. quick enough to have dodged the shot had the other been aiming to actually hit them? arguably not, though they didn't particularly want to admit that to themself. head turning to eye the boiling hole in the wall behind them, a fleeting thought of 'maybe i've gotten myself in over my head' ran through the back of their mind.

again, their mouth opened to retort, but this time they closed it of their own accord. although they did take a moment to consider whether or not to obey the demand... byan had to admit that no, they didn't want to find out of those shots were heat seeking. the fact that they were metal-eating plasma was already intimidating enough.

ㅤㅤ" okay, okay! jeez. "ㅤreluctantly, and somewhat begrudgingly, they clambered over the railing, lowering themself using mostly the strength of their own arms until they could drop steadily onto some old factory machinery below. from there, the teen hopped to the ground, landing in a crouch from which they immediately rose, gaze flitting back to the kariian who was a whole lot bigger from ground-level.

"ㅤhands raised to show they held no weapons, they watched the other more alertly than before, feeling far more vulnerable now that they were out in the open. they had weapons on them, of course, hidden amongst their clothes if they proved necessary (not that they'd do much...), but for the time being it seemed far more agreeable to play along, to run with the act that they were just some dumb, curious kid. ...it wasn't exactly far off from the truth, but still.

Zovariy’s unwavering glower didn’t do much as blink when the figure peered over the edge of the catwalk above. Truthfully, the only reason they hadn’t shot at them yet was that they could already smell that this was just some stupid child. They hardly had their twin’s sense of empathy, but they didn’t make it a habit to cull children. Still, it doesn’t stop their aggravation, which only flares further with the stranger’s response.

“Yes, you should consider yourself lucky I don’t consider you worth dealing with immediately.” Zovariy wondered if someone else paid it to follow them. Doubtful a youth would have any idea ulterior motives beyond base curiosity unless it was bought off. With that thought in mind, they promptly pointed their hand toward the walkway above.

Then, when their fingers curled inward, a piece of their gauntlet hissed open— and a burst of plasma shot from it, narrowly (and purposefully) avoiding the teen’s head and instead eating through the metal wall behind them. It bubbled and burned like the most virulent acid.

“Get down here or your skull is next. You don’t want to find out if these shots are heat seeking.”

Still "trapped" with Zovariy. Despite his pelt, Kjoll isn't a huge fan of Snow unless he can get a nice white pelt from the animals that tend to come out in their winter-fur on any given planet!

Kariio itself is mostly populated by ground, rock, steel, ice, and dark types. Dragon types as well, albeit more rarely. Fire, grass, and bug types are just about non-existent naturally.

Zovariy’s Steelix used to be their mother’s, hence it’s immense and intimidating power.

Hydreigon was one they got when they were very little, and when it was a Deino. It was their first Pokemon.

Zovariy figured that was another Earth saying, and rolled their eyes. Different saying, different species, same shit. Same attempts at digging under their fur. Seems some things transcended everything else.

“Am I supposed to care about your opinion? Or theirs? You're all just as worthless as each other.”

If there was one thing that Zovariy preferred to do alone more than anything else, it was scavenge for resources. There was no lack of it back home; they barely had to do anything to have their developments fully funded. Yet in a way, they couldn't help but feel that it defeated much of the journey starting somewhere so easy. They were never afraid of getting their hands dirty, regardless of what those who knew nothing of them outside of their origins assumed. Working with what you've built yourself instead of what was simply handed to you — that was much more rewarding. They didn't need or want the hand holding. The assistance.

That meant they didn't want to encounter others, and they didn't bring any beyond their own bio-drones (carcasses of predacious creatures reanimated by Dominion technology). Zovariy made an effort to avoid prying eyes; the Head-Hunter was cloaked and so were they in their armor until they reached the innards of a cavern system. Their figure was obscured by the metal plates, seeming more synthetic than organic right down to the extra pair of limbs that functioned as rotating drills, ones they put to use by the time their cybernetics finally located a vein worth harvesting.

It was dark and enclosed. It would be pitch black were it not for the subtle red glow of their armor and their eyes. For a kariian, it was familiar. Especially when they happened to be mining. But this was still an alien world. And so, while they had managed to avoid sapients, even though their cloak of invisibility was now dropped, they weren't yet off their guard. Besides... Sound carried easily through these stony halls. The sound of their drilling, but also of unwanted company.

Doesn't respond but only because it takes him literal hours to process what that even means, and even then... Who knows?

What if it was directed at someone else? Obviously it wasn't meant for him, as far as Ardaka is concerned.

Ignore it, they assume it's meant as a jest or a mockery anyway. It doesn't warrant a response.

Unless they happen to be out of their armor. They do have a nice physique... But they're still going to ignore it.
