Okay so fun fact for IB theatre (a class I’m in) you write a 12 page proposal on how you would produce, design, block, and essentially execute an entire show and I was og gonna do cabaret but honestly… after everything that’s happened as of late with AI and SAG-aftra and such how would we feel abt a 12 page paper on a production of newsies set in modern times?? Like everything’s the same it’s just… now

IB Summer work

Today I am working on my production proposal for my Theatre HL class. One thing I recommend all transferring students to do, regardless of the program, is to get in touch as fast as possible with your new school to discuss classes and work that has been done in the other school. In my case, I learnt that my new school had already done the production proposal, while in my old school we only did a mock one which counted as our IA for theatre. While there are a few things I have to catch on, I am feeling quite exited to start this proposal as I am doing it on a play I really enjoy called "The Crucible", by Arthur Miller. I am trying to finish this in these next two weeks so that I can get it over with and focus on other things such as my EE, which is due the first day back.
