Ya'll.

My school is old, okay. Like some of the buildings date back to the mid-late 1800's. And we're in the middle of a polar vortex situation. The school is not built for this kind of weather, especially over the period of time. Some of the newer buildings already lost heat, some of the upper classmen housing, which are just houses the school bought and essentially rents as dorms have had their pipes freeze and some are without heat as well. A sophomore girls dorm lost their laundry after the pipes froze and a freshman girls' dorm didn't get the central heating turned on in time, so all those girls where freezing.

We are not built for this. It is only gonna get worse as we fluctuate from single digits to low 30's by weeks end. My rooms heat has been wonky since I got back from break, and I don't think we've got much longer before it gives.

All I wanna do is watch crochet and write man. Now I've gotta worry about if I'm gonna loose heat in the middle of the night.
