Other than Hakuouki, I guess I'm also working on a crossover fic with Inuyasha and JJK (equally devastating too). Not exactly sure how that happened, but I think I saw an author I used to read from the fanfiction dot net site post a drabble about it.

It's an interesting thing, I suppose -- that I used to think that Higurashi Kagome is a peak female character due to how she's able to adapt and control her life. But now I kind of see her as a mary sue of sorts, especially if you consider how she's often written in fics. I still do think she's a great character, thus the flaws of representation falls upon her writers. I have seen exceptional fics written about her (do check out From the Garden of Gods by Sythe and You and Me After All by Chiaztolite!), and they've always been about her flaws and vulnerability -- which is what I think make these expositions great.

In that conclusion, it's probably the reason for my initial distaste of Yukimura Chizuru (as I've previously stated that I'd seen the anime first, the movies and games later) due to her passiveness and the blankness of her character. But as I've grown up, I think Chizuru can be a great representation of the results of her time. That she's just as brave as Kagome would've been had she grown in that time, she can only make do with her means and her very demise are the very writers who've refused or lacking in giving her credit due.
