#I can't stop thinking about the parallels between Eden and Kalpas#Was it done on purpose? At times it doesn't feel like it#At times it feels more that instead of very conscious and intently weitten like that it was more a coincidence#derivative from the recurring themes and parallels in ideas roles character and situations that thread all the Flame Chasers together#and make of them a cohesive whole#But wow the parallels bwtween Eden and Kalpas specifically are so good#I've been thinking about them for days sometimes quite intensely#I haven't even reached that part of the story yet and still here I am#At this point the actual development of the story and the writing of these details is bound to disappoint me#It shines so beautifully in my mind and with such a particular glow#Like one of those cups or calices made our of seashells#I talk too much#I can't believe an idol and an alien are all I've been thinking of for hours now#Normally alien and idol are tropes I couldn't care less for#Yet somehow I'm invested#And somehow I am very invested in this lame ass man#I can't believe I initially disliked and found kind of disgusting then got very fond of a man with white hair with black details#and something over his face that has a lot of anger issues but is sort of very gentle in his way‚#fact that shows not only in his behaviour but even his preferences and hobbies#but nonetheless he is quite shy and detached from people with a few exceptions‚ a pink haired woman his closest most trusted person#and sort of friend but not quite but also deeper than that at the same time#And this has happened twice#I can't see Guzm.a without seeing Kalpas now and the other way round#They both sit the same way‚ wear short sleeved jackets over a t-shirt with a wide neckline‚ both are obsessed with destruction#and breaking things and the sound they make while doing that‚ both screan rude things all the time‚#both find pretty much everyone stupid and annoying both share a feeling of alienation and unbelonging#Both take care of a bunch of kids in a way#Guz.ma's ending in the manga may be my favourite writing in the whole history of Pokemo.n‚ and N exists!#Otto/Kalpas situation tbh I can't stand myself#Get a grip look at that very well written character with all the traits and thematic you most enjoy. good girls have gone… bad?
summary: her sister has been on your thoughts ever since you became friends with yelena. you two exchanged a quick gaze, and you both wondered right away who natasha romanoff was. sleeping with your best friend's sister isn't such a bad idea, considering yelena left you to spend some time alone with natasha, right? you knew she was way older than you, and you loved that.
warnings: smut, age difference (reader is 21; natasha is 37) blowjob, natasha has a penis, dirty talking, and more - 18+ minors dni
note: i'm back! i'm sorry if i haven't been updating, if i have to be honest i lost interest in this account. but now that i'm back, i think i'll be writing here more often! i apologize if there are some errors with this fic
“I have to get my report card at uni today,” While I was engrossed in a vlog on my phone, Yelena let out a sigh as she devoured her bag of chips. “Are you okay being alone here for now? I mean, you’re with Natasha. So you’re in good hands.”
“Yeah, I’ll be fine. Your sister doesn’t talk much.”
“She has a day off from work; give her a break.”
I laughed involuntarily. “Even though she’s not at work, she doesn’t talk much. She’ll talk if we want something for dinner or something.”
"I believe she is simply shy," Yelena kissed me on the forehead and said as she got her bag off the couch. “Listen, call me if you need anything. Just hope that I have a signal.”
I smiled at her as she departed, leaving me in solitude within the living room, embracing the tranquility. Yelena and I have been friends since senior year, which I find amusing considering that I have always seen her at school since I was a freshman. It's etched in my memory how she was the one who reached out to me initially, and from there, we embarked on a whirlwind of parties and adventures. Over the course of the past two years, she became the sole person I could rely on. We were supposedly living together at our university, but she mentioned that I could sleep at her place any time whenever we’re on campus since her place was conveniently located nearby. Then, upon encountering her sister, Natasha Romanoff, my heart seemed to come to a halt.
She was absolutely stunning, without a doubt the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on. She had a chic, cropped hairstyle, delicate hands, and a radiant smile that seemed to stretch for miles whenever I caught a glimpse. I found everything about her quite appealing, including her tendency to be more reserved in conversation. I often pondered whether or not Yelena had parents, but she remained tight-lipped on the subject. She only shared with me that from a young age, Natasha whisked her away from their parents and they began their life in New York. Her sister has always been the one supporting them financially, which is why she has been consistently absent. However, Yelena's admiration for her sister knows no bounds.
It was sweet, which made me jealous sometimes.
As I made my way back to Yelena's room, Natasha emerged from her own room, a warm smile gracing her face.
“I assume Yelena’s not at home?”
I shook my head. “No, she’s getting her report card at university today.”
“Oh,” She let out an exasperated sigh and casually leaned against the wall. “And you? You’re not getting your report card?”
“I already got it; my parents weren’t so proud this time.”
“What did you fail?” She let out a soft laugh, fixing her gaze on me intensely, causing a knot to form in my stomach. I'm not sure if it was positive or negative, but her intense gaze made my heart skip a beat.
“Finance,” I murmured. “I didn’t focus with that subject that much, which I completely regret.”
I heard her giggle again, and it made my heart race even faster. When I give it some thought, I realize that Natasha and I are similar in one area: sex. I don't discuss it with Yelena or my other friends, but I don't feel embarrassed talking to Natasha about it. Although we've never actually done it, we were both flirtatious about it. Natasha usually asks me to come to her room while Yelena is sleeping, where she usually spends her time masturbating at the foot of the bed. And when it was my turn, I would smother my fingers when Natasha expressed her wish to touch me.
In her bed.
The following day, we just look at each other as if nothing had happened and don't discuss this. Since Yelena didn't seem suspicious, which I was grateful for, I carried on doing this with Natasha until she eventually became tired of me. I was probably just another girl in her view, someone to be used. She was, nevertheless, to me like the book that I couldn't put down. I was drawn to her and wanted to spend time with her.
I could never acknowledge such a thing.
“I was wondering if...” Her mouth became silent as she walked over to me, smirking, and brushed her delicate fingertips over a strand of my hair. “Maybe you’d join me in our secret affair?”
I snorted. “Affair? Natasha, we aren’t in a relationship.”
"Well, it would be impolite to suggest that we watch porn together or something; you are aware of the subject."
I debated whether or not to do it today because Yelena might return at any moment. I sighed heavily and shook my head because she had not told me what time she would be home. It was a bad idea, because if that turned out to be true, we could be caught.
But it wouldn’t hurt to do this... Right?
“Okay,” I whispered to her as she trailed her fingers on my collarbone. “Take me to your bedroom.”
“Shit,”Natasha whispered, holding on to her mattress sheet. “That feels so good, baby. K-Keep going; don’t stop.”
I stared at her face, contoured with lust, and bobbed my head up and down. Considering that her cock felt erect in my mouth, I find it fascinating how much this makes her want to engage. She lifted her hips a little as I licked and sucked on the tip of her dick.
“Good girl,” She whispers, pressing my head farther down as she runs her fingers through my hair. “You like that? You like my cock in your mouth?”
I let out a quiet affirmation as I sensed a certain anticipation on my tongue, observing her eyebrows furrow each time I took her length into my mouth. “You’re so big,” I withdrew my mouth from her cock and caressed her whole length, filling the room with loud, sloshing sounds. “I’ve never done anything like this, Daddy.”
“Oh yeah?” She gently sat up on the bed and slapped the head of her dick onto my lips by grabbing the base of her length. “Open up, sweetheart. I need to cum in your throat.”
Ideally, I would prefer that not to occur. I had to taste her, though, because it was Natasha. Heck, I didn't even give a damn if Yelena was home right now. All I wanted was for this to occur, for her to require my presence. I bobbed my head angrily and made gag noises as I sucked on her dick once more.
It turned on Natasha even more as I did so.
“You’re so warm, fuck...” I knelt on the bed as her words faltered. "You're such a slut for my dick, look at you. Tell me, you wanted this, didn’t you?”
More than you could ever know.
She was probably amazed at my ability to pull off such a feat as she watched me in disbelief as I placed her genitalia into my mouth. The action caused me to cough a little, and I choked on her genitalia right away. And I pulled my head back. She pouted, her whole length smeared across my face as she gripped the back of my head. "Baby, I thought we were just gon' talk dirty to each other."
I whimpered. “I needed you, Daddy.”
“Yeah? You needed me?”
“So bad,” I whined as I kissed her length. “Please don’t stop.”
“Open your mouth.”
She fucked her cock by pushing it back down my throat. Hard. I throw my eyes back, and Natasha's hips falter as she strikes the back of my throat. She recoils her head. “I’m going to cum down your throat, and you’re going to swallow it, okay, baby? You are so good for me, so so good...”
If I were the only girl in the world, I would do this every single day. However, I was aware that I was probably not destined for her because she was much older than I was and I was too young. People will make judgments; she wouldn't think that of me.
Natasha remained motionless for a few moment before turning to face me with a broad smile. "You feel like you're wet to me?" I moaned around her cock as she reached for my covered cunt and gripped it. "Oh my god! Fuck, keep doing that, baby girl.”
I kept moaning all over her length as she quickly and forcefully fucked my mouth, causing me to gag every time her tip touched the back of my throat. I was her sex toy, and I never wanted to be anything else once she put both of her hands on the side of my head.
“I want to fuck your pussy,” She continued to fuck my mouth like an animal while whispering in a rough manner. “I want to—ugh—I want to rip your pussy apart, especially that throat of yours. I bet you’re so tight, baby. Fuck, I can imagine myself ripping you open.”
Rip me open, make me fall apart. I’ll be anything to you, anything.
“You’d like that, wouldn’t you?” Natasha drew her length a bit and rolled her hips against my face, her cockhead resting on my tongue instead. “I’m going to cum on your tongue and you better swallow it; don’t waste any drop.”
She was hooding her eyes and idly stroking her dick when I parted my lips wide for her. She glanced at the door once, then grabbed my jaw and drew me in. “Here it comes, baby. I-I’m going to cum—fuck almost there just... Argh!”
She stroked her dick widly as she came onto my tongue. She kept stroking her length, and I had to close my eyes because I could feel some of her semen falling on my face. However, she released all of it on my tongue. Slapping her tip on my face and smearing her length all over it, Natasha let out a long, raspy moan. “You look so pretty in my cum.”
“You c-came a lot...”
With a nod, she reclined on the mattress. "Yes, I did. It's been a while since I've truly done that," she says, continuing to stroke her dick, albeit more slowly. I got up and grabbed the closest towel I could find after realizing that I had to go before Yelena could see or smell the sex in this room. "Are you sure you haven't done that with anyone?"
“I never give blowjobs,” I stated with a small voice as I wiped off my face with a clean towel. “When was the last time you had a girl suck on your dick?”
Natasha was standing in front of me as I turned around. As soon as she gripped my waist and drew me even closer to her body, I felt my breath catch. She let out a long breath and muttered, "You were the first person to give me an orgasm in a very long time, darling."
I chuckled lightly. “I thought you’d never do something like that. With me, at least.”
“You’re very pretty,” She pulls down my shorts, gesturing for me to roll my eyes back as she holds her dick in her palm. “Can I feel you? Just a bit? I just... I want to imagine what it’s like to feel your pussy rubbing on me.”
I gazed into her eyes, taking note of the intensity of her desire. So I lowered my panties to my mid thighs and touched her cock, gently stimulating the sensitive area. We both felt a rush of pleasure as Natasha leaned her head against my shoulder, drawing me in closer to her.
“You’re making me hard again,” She whimpered and pressed her cock against me, causing me to scream quietly. “Oh shit, you are tight!”
“Fuck, Nat—Yelena could go home any minute!”
“Just one minute,” she begged as she looked at me in the eye. “Baby, let me fuck you.”
“Okay, okay,” I whispered and felt myself being pushed against the edge of her desk, her hands hoisting my legs up. “Oh god—”
"God, I’m about to rip you open here,” Natasha spoke with such assurance that it began to pique my interest. I bite my bottom lip as she retreats a little and thrusts back into my cunt. “Let it all out, baby girl. Let Daddy hear you—”
“Y/n, I’m back!”
“Shit!” I exclaimed and pushed her away, pulling up my shorts. She immediately grabbed her boxers and wore them before I reached for the door. “Natasha, she can’t see me like this. Or you like this!”
“Just hide here for a moment,” Natasha led me into her bathroom, responding to my request. I widen my eyes in anticipation, waiting for her next words. “Just for this moment, okay? I’ll handle everything.”
I recognized what I had done as soon as she shut the door. I looked so desperate that I should never have given Natasha a blowjob in the first place. I shook my head carefully, running my fingers through my hair. "What did I do?" Sitting on the floor, with more memories of us playing along in my thoughts, I asked myself. Was I a lousy friend? Would Yelena even accept me if I was?
I don’t know.
hehe let me know if i should make this as a story

Gold chain (pt3) | Leah Williamson
A bit more of Leah while everything around you gets more intense warnings: just fluff and slow burn pt1 - pt4 - my masterlist
Leah's love for tennis skirts had just been solidified. She found herself frozen, her fork suspended midway to her mouth. Your video call had caught her off guard, and the first thing to greet her on the screen was you, your back facing the camera, only in your sports bra and the skirt you wore during your recent match, which had wrapped up just a few hours ago.
"Hellooo?" Leah said, gently placing her fork back onto the table.
"Just a sec!" you called out, still with your back turned to the camera.
Leah watched as you reached into your bag, pulling out a black t-shirt that you slipped on. Unlike the tight one you wore for tennis, this one was baggy—definitely a guy’s shirt, she thought.
"Did you watch my match?" you asked, now facing the camera on your phone, which sat at the coffee table in the room.
"Yep" Leah replied, flipping her phone’s camera to show the TV tuned to the sports channel. “Feeling nervous about the quarterfinals?” she asked, sounding both curious and supportive.
"Nah... I don't know who I'll be facing yet though," you said, slipping off your socks. "At least I’ve got two days to rest before the game."
"Yeah, like you’ll actually rest," Leah teased.
"You're probably right," you chuckled knowing she had you figured out. During your first call yesterday, you had explained your intense training routine before matches. "What are you having?" you asked Leah, curiosity evident in your voice as you held your phone again.
"Smiley faces," Leah said, poking a potato and showing it to you through the camera.
"What?" you laughed, not quite sure what she was showing you.
"Potato smiles. Delicious," she said, grinning as she popped the potato into her mouth.
"Ew! Didn't your mum teach you not to talk with your mouth full?" you teased, though you found it amusing to watch Leah goof around. "Do they taste like real potatoes? I've never tried them."
"What are you talking about?" Leah gasped, dramatically dropping her fork onto her plate. "Are you kidding me?"
"Whoa, you sound genuinely offended," you said, struggling to contain your laughter.
"Of course I am! How is it possible you've never tasted these? What did you eat all through your childhood?" she asked, her face completely serious.
"Leah... would you believe me if I told you I didn't try a nugget until I was 16?" you said, your tone turning more serious. "It was when a friend from school invited me over for dinner. My mum was always particular about what I ate." Leah's expression turned to a slight frown as she listened intently. "I always had well-balanced, hearty meals. She just wasn't a fan of processed food," you said, hoping to provide context and prevent any misconceptions about your mother.
"Sounds... kind of sad," Leah said, finishing her last potato. "I should invite you over for smiley faces, shouldn't I?" she asked with a shy smile.
"You could... I'd gladly accept," you replied.
"I'll think about it," Leah said, shaking her head with a playful grin. After a brief pause, her face suddenly lit up. "Oh, I wanted to ask you something."
"What is it?" you asked, intrigued.
"Today, something caught my eye. Well, actually, it's been catching my eye for a while now, but I think I've finally spotted a pattern," Leah explained, narrowing her eyes. "Your chain around your neck... I've seen you tug on it from time to time."
By reflex, your hand went to your neck, and you felt a brief panic when you didn't feel the chain right away, realizing it was hidden beneath your shirt.
"Is it something significant to you?" Leah asked.
"Yes and no. It's kind of silly," you replied, settling into bed and arranging the phone between the pillows. "Sometimes when I'm feeling nervous or a bit anxious, I tug on it to remind myself it's there, but it's not a big deal to me. I started wearing it a few years ago for a silly reason."
You hesitated, thinking you might bore Leah with the details. But seeing her through the screen, now cozy on her couch with a blanket over her legs and a smile on her face, you realized that perhaps this time someone would actually be interested in listening to you.
"I've never been picky," you began to explain. "I never asked my parents for anything special. They always gave me everything I needed, especially when it came to things that could improve my game. But as for gifts, I always felt too embarrassed to ask for certain things." You bit your lip, trying to stay on track with your story. "The thing is, I always wanted a chain. I didn't care much about the material. Everyone at the academy had one, boys and girls. It's a common accessory, after all. I wanted to be like them."
You fell silent, suddenly feeling a bit silly for sharing such trivial details. Leah, however, misinterpreted your silence and blank stare, thinking she had touched on a sensitive subject.
"Did someone special give you the chain you wear?" Leah's gentle voice interrupted your thoughts.
"No," you shook your head, trying to suppress a smile. "I bought it myself. That's why it has my initial on it," you explained, holding the chain up to the camera.
Leah felt conflicted. On one hand, the story ended with a bit of humor, but on the other, there was a hint of sadness. It was the kind of gift typically given by a loved one or partner, and in the end, you had to buy it for yourself… which was a bit sad.
"After I won my first WTA title, I had quite a bit of money, so I went to the first jewelry store I could find and bought it," you explained.
You noticed the puzzled expression on Leah's face; she had gone silent when you expected her to laugh at the end of the story. You smiled nervously, wondering if you were diving too deep into conversations with her.
"Maybe she thinks you're weird," the insecurity echoed in your head.
Just then, a notification popped up on your phone, rescuing you from overthinking.
"Ugh, I've got to go meet Lucas. He wants to work on my serve," you said, standing up quickly with your phone in hand.
"You have a great serve," Leah said without hesitation.
"You're only saying that because you're a fan," you replied, rolling your eyes and trying to ignore the butterflies in your stomach that always fluttered when Leah complimented your game.
"Exactly, and I watch every move you make," she said, crossing her arms and wrinkling her nose playfully.
"How adorable," you thought to yourself.
"Tell your coach you don't need any improvement," Leah said.
"He's my coach. I pay him to help me get better," you said as you slipped on your shoes.
"Yeah, whatever," Leah responded with a playful smirk.
"Do you buy the whole love at first sight thing? Ouch!" you winced as your physio applied pressure, stretching your leg into a position that felt tight.
"Take a deep breath," advised your therapist, easing off the pressure. "There you go," she said, gently returning your leg to its natural position.
"It's not something I believe in, in case you're wondering," you said, laying face down on the table and removing your headphones. Conversations during your physio sessions were rare, you typically dozed off, hence the headphones to drown out the noise around you.
"I guess that's not your cup of tea," your physio chuckled softly, now focusing on massaging your calves. "Is she pretty? They say love often comes in through the eyes, especially if it's love at first sight, as you said."
"She's definitely pretty, yeah," you admitted, wincing as your therapist's thumbs applied pressure into your muscles. "Geez, who said these sessions were relaxing?" you muttered, closing your eyes to bear the discomfort. "She's pretty, but it's more than that... I feel like I can talk to her."
"Y/N, you talk with tons of people every day," your therapist reminded you. "Honestly, you never seem to stop talking," she added with a laugh.
"It's different with her. I can talk about anything, even tennis, but there's no pressure... It's like talking to her puts me at ease," you explained.
It was so calming that you had fallen asleep chatting with her the last two nights.
"I shouldn't be catching feelings for someone I'm just getting to know," you sighed.
"Well, actually, it's perfectly normal," your physio reassured you.
You sighed with relief as the tension in your muscles began to ease under her skilled hands. It wasn't a sigh of relief because someone validated your growing feelings for Leah. Definitely not.
"There are times when love hits you fast and hard, you know? When it's intense." the woman explained, now focusing on your back. "And you, my dear, are intense. It wouldn't be surprising if you fell in love just as fast."
"I haven't fallen in love," you protested, attempting to sit up from the table, but your therapist effortlessly kept you pinned down with a swift motion.
"And you're impulsive," she added with a tired sigh, familiar with your reactions. "I'm surprised you haven't declared yourself to her already."
"There is no one," you insisted.
"You've already admitted there's a pretty girl and that you have feelings for her, even if you're not quite sure what those feelings are yet," she teased with a mischievous smile. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to have someone special," she suggested, helping you onto your back on the table. "She could be good for you… here" she said, gently touching your heart. "And here," she continued, touching your temple with her finger.
"What are we watching?" Lia asked, settling down next to Leah on the couch. They had planned a dinner date to catch up, but Lia suspected it was more about Leah avoiding another night of cooking.
"There's a match about to start," Leah replied, quickly grabbing the remote from her friend's hands.
Lia glanced at the screen, which now displayed the stats of two tennis players. "Has Wimbledon started already?"
"No," Leah sighed, rolling her eyes. "There are tournaments throughout the year, not just the Grand Slams," she explained, her focus on the screen.
"Since when are you an expert on this?" Lia asked, raising an eyebrow.
"It's basic knowledge, not all sports revolve around football," Leah defended herself as the players stepped onto the court.
"Is this match a big deal?"
"It's the quarterfinals," Leah replied.
"How do they win?" Lia inquired further.
"They win by taking two sets." Leah explained, her irritation starting to show.
"And how do they win those sets?" Lia pressed on.
"God, Lia, just watch and you'll figure it out," Leah snapped, feeling her nerves creeping in. She was clearly on edge.
“Why are you so grumpy today?” Lia eyed her suspiciously.
"What's wrong with her? What's she doing?" murmured Leah, leaning back on the couch, her eyes glued to the match on the tv screen.
"Huh?" Lia turned to her.
"She's struggling to reach her shots," Leah pointed out, just as you lost another point. "She had the match in her bag."
It was true. You had started strong, winning the first set 6-1 and even taking a 4-1 lead in the second set. But now, your opponent had fought back, and you found yourself in a 1-6 tiebreaker, unable to secure more than a single point.
"Set point," was announced on the tv, and Leah waved her hand.
You positioned yourself, shifting from side to side, anticipating your opponent's serve. But before you could react, she sent a powerful shot down the line, leaving you with no chance to return it.
"Bloody hell," Leah exclaimed, standing up from the couch.
"Woah, I didn't know you were so into tennis," Lia remarked, intrigued by Leah's intense reaction.
"It just frustrates me when they give away easy points during a match," Leah explained, which was partly true. Your unforced errors had contributed to your opponent's comeback in the set.
Leah let out a long sigh and sank back onto the couch. She couldn't relax until you managed to turn the match around and win the third set tiebreaker 7-4, securing your spot in the semifinals. You had come dangerously close to losing your spot in the semifinals.
Leah couldn't bring herself to try talking to you all day. It had been a dreadful match, one of the worst she had ever seen you play. Despite not knowing you that well, Leah figured you probably needed some space and didn't want to talk to anyone for a while. She had watched you storm off the court after the match, something she had never seen you do before. The heated exchanges with the chair umpire and the tense moments with your coach had been impossible to ignore.
She had only mustered the courage to send a brief message:
"Hope you're doing okay."
But you hadn't responded yet.
So, when she was already tucked up in bed, half asleep, she was surprised to see an incoming video call from you.
"Y/N?" Leah replied, not looking at the screen as she fumbled to switch on her nightstand lamp.
"Shit, I didn't mean to wake you up." you apologized.
"I wasn't quite asleep yet," Leah said, finally turning her attention to the screen. "Are you okay?" she asked, sitting up in bed, noticing your slightly red and puffy eyes.
"Yeah," you lied, settling back on the couch and pulling your blanket up to your neck. "What about you? How was your day?"
"I just watched your match, which was horrible," Leah thought, feeling sorry for you, but instead she replied, "Not much. I just had dinner with some friends."
Leah couldn't help but smile as she saw your features relax at her answer. She knew you had probably anticipated her bringing up the match. You had mentioned how intense your day usually was: tennis talk at breakfast, tennis talk in the afternoon, tennis talk at dinner.
"Nothing too delicious," Leah continued. "Did you have dinner?"
You didn't respond verbally, instead, you shook your head and bit your lip, a sign of your struggle to hold back tears. Leah immediately noticed.
"I was running late and didn't feel like eating alone," you explained. "But my physio brought me a sandwich about half an hour ago. I'm just not hungry."
Leah frowned. She mentally calculated the hours since the match had ended at noon. Considering the disastrous game, you probably hadn't eaten afterward, and your stomach was likely empty except for breakfast.
"You should eat," Leah insisted gently.
"I don't want to eat alone, it's... depressing," you admitted, sinking further into the couch. Leah could barely see your mouth now, the blanket covering you.
"Okay, hold on," Leah said, letting out a sigh as she got out of bed. She placed the phone on her bed and reached for a hoodie. "Come on," she said, picking up her phone again.
You watched through the screen as Leah left her room and headed to her kitchen, leaving the phone on the counter.
"Okay, what kind of sandwich did you get?"
"Huh?"
"I'll eat with you," Leah explained simply, reaching for the bag of bread. "Well?"
You rolled your eyes but couldn't help but smile. It was such a tender gesture, one that softened your heart. Leaning over to the coffee table, you picked up the bag your physio had left there. You hadn't even opened it yet.
"Let me see..." you said, pulling out the sandwich and reading the ingredients on the box. "Tuna, cucumber, mayonnaise, and salad cream."
"Ugh, not my favorite," Leah said, her face visible at the edge of the screen as she looked through her fridge.
"What's your favorite?" you asked, starting to unwrap your sandwich. Suddenly feeling your appetite return.
"I'm a ham and cheese girl. I like to keep it simple," Leah explained, already assembling her own sandwich.
"Sounds boring," you teased with a chuckle. Leah stuck her tongue out at you. "I prefer egg sandwiches. Probably the store didn't have any."
"What else did your physio get you?"
"Uh... a bottle of water and a bottle of juice."
"Orange?" Leah guessed, reaching for a box of orange juice.
"Yes," you confirmed, smiling as you watched Leah return to the couch, settled in just like you with a blanket on her lap. She held up her sandwich to the camera.
"Shall we eat?"
An hour later, you were in bed, with Leah still on the screen, tucked under her own sheets. The time had flown by as Leah passionately tried to convince you why Arsenal was the top club in London.
"Uh, according to Google, the men's team hasn't won a league since 2004," you teased in a mocking tone, enjoying Leah's furrowed brow and her stumbling attempts to defend her team. "And the women's team... maybe I shouldn't say anything," you added innocently, staring up at the ceiling.
"Oi! You're being mean!" Leah protested. "I just won a cup, you know?"
Of course you knew, you had seen the post on Leah’s instagram.
"Winning a cup isn't quite the same as winning a league," you continued to tease.
"What would you know about it? You only just learned the difference between a cup and a league because I explained it to you," Leah retorted, though she couldn't help but crack a smile. Despite her attempt to feign annoyance, she couldn't shake the sense of relief seeing you in a better mood than an hour ago "You're such a headache sometimes.”
"Sorry," you said between laughs. "Well, I'd better get some sleep. Got an early start tomorrow."
Leah's heart sank at the reminder of your upcoming semifinal match. She knew you had pushed yourself to the limit today, both physically and mentally.
"Thank you," you added, catching Leah off guard.
"Huh?" Leah's brow furrowed in confusion.
"For not bringing that up," you explained, your cheeks tinted with embarrassment. "I really appreciate it... I just needed to talk to someone. And you're easy to talk to."
Leah's heart skipped a beat.
"It was nothing. You can talk to me anytime, about anything, including that," Leah assured, offering you a warm smile.
You fell silent for a moment, your eyes closed. Leah almost thought you had drifted off to sleep until she heard your voice again.
"I've never won a semifinal match on grass," you confessed. "I hate playing on grass. I can't move like I want to, can't slide, the ball bounces weird... It's a faster game, and I don't like it."
Leah struggled to find the right words to comfort you, though it seemed you weren't seeking comfort. You just needed to vocalize your thoughts.
"Well… get some good rest," you said "Speak to you tomorrow."
"Sleep well," Leah replied softly, just before you disappeared from her screen.
Leah hadn't been able to watch your game; she'd been tied up with a radio interview in the afternoon. Perhaps it was a good thing, sparing her from witnessing what felt like a complete disaster.
You were trailing 1-0 after losing the first set 6-2.
"Y/N, listen up," Lucas's voice echoed in your head as you wiped your face with your towel. He sounded both concerned and frustrated. "You've got to get up to the net. Focus and do it just like we practiced this morning.”
The tension intensified in the second set, now tied at 3-3. Each point intensified, increasing the pressure on your already fatigued body.
Struggling to steady your breath and calm your racing heart, you attempted to regain your composure. Lucas's instructions only seemed to agitate you further. Your serves lacked accuracy and power, the weight of exhaustion settled in your arms and legs.
With your breath hitching, you turned to Lucas "Gotta keep your mouth shut," you muttered to him, before returning to your position on the court.
You squeezed your eyes shut for a moment, trying to shut out your coach's voice which, instead of helping, was only adding to the overwhelming pressure and fear of failure creeping in.
For a while, you felt completely disconnected from the game, just focusing on getting the ball back over the net and hoping for the best. Your ears felt muffled, you swung at balls in every direction, chasing after them when your legs allowed. It felt like your body was on autopilot.
When you finally regained control, you glanced at the scoreboard. It read 5-4, with the set tied at 30-30. Had you been playing for that long already?
"Just 2 more points and I'm out," you muttered to yourself, accepting the ball from the ball kid who hesitated a moment before returning to her position. Your emotional state must have caught her attention, you could feel tears welling up, but you refused to let them fall now. You couldn't afford to show weakness, not in front of them.
You adjusted your visor lower, not too concerned that it obstructed your view. After all, you were resigned to the inevitable defeat, recovering from this set, let alone the entire match, felt beyond your grasp.
Taking a deep breath, you served. Your opponent effortlessly returned the ball, and when you sent it back, she executed a perfect drop shot with spin. Despite your best efforts, your legs failed to get you to the net before the ball bounced a second time.
All you could do was shake your head and chuckle at the brilliance of the shot. It was a damn good point.
The next rally was a bit longer. Determined to get at least a point, you decided to take a calculated risk. You placed the ball strategically close to the net, hoping to force your opponent into a difficult position. Yet, she managed to return the ball, forcing you to approach the net. Anticipating her move, you weren't surprised when the ball sailed over your head, landing just inside the line behind you.
And with that, it was over.
"Stay the hell away from me!" you shouted as Lucas and your physio entered the dressing room. You pointed your racket at him. "I don't want to hear a word from you!"
"Y/N, calm down," Lucas said, his brow furrowed in concern.
"I said no! Get out!" Tears streaked down your face, your voice raw with frustration. "You're the reason I lost!" you accused him, venom lacing your words as you vented on your racket, smashing it against the ground. "You told me to charge the net," you seethed, the anger palpable. "And what happens? She pulls off the damn shot of her life!"
Deep down, you knew it wasn't entirely his fault.
Lucas struggled to make out your words through your sobs and the racket's crashing impact. He signaled to your physio to grab your bag of remaining rackets before you decided to destroy another one.
"You need to cool off," your physio interjected, her tone firm.
"I need everyone to leave me the hell alone!" you yelled, throwing the shattered pieces of your racket against the wall in a burst of frustration.
Lucas shook his head and firmly guided you to sit on the bench. "Listen to me," he said, but you shook your head, lost in your thoughts. Frustrated, Lucas removed your visor and tossed it aside to get a clear view of your face, then gently tilted your chin to meet his eyes. "I said listen to me, kiddo."
You met his gaze, holding your breath. He looked visibly upset, his brow furrowed deeper than usual. Taking a moment to study him, you noticed the new wrinkles and more gray hairs, likely a result of the stress you often caused him.
"You played well today," he continued, his voice steady but firm, still holding your gaze. "But she played better. It's not a reflection of your performance, it's not about you playing badly. Can we improve? Absolutely. And we will, I promise you that. But for now, we need to stop."
"What do you mean?" you asked.
"You're drained," your physio chimed in. "Your body can't handle more. Your muscles are exhausted."
"And your mind isn't much better. Since the first game you've been clouded," Lucas added, sighing. "We're heading back to England first thing tomorrow."
"Eastbourne?" you asked.
Lucas shook his head. "No, you won't be playing in any more tournaments until Wimbledon. I've made it clear, you need to stop," he said firmly, now taking a seat beside you. "We're heading to London. Your psychologist is already there."
You had resisted having a psychologist travel with your team for months, but now circumstances were different.
"You'll see the psychologist tomorrow and then you'll rest for a few days. Your rackets are off-limits," your physio said, your bag slung over her shoulder as she tried to lighten the mood. "Seriously, no tennis, not even for fun," she added quickly, when she saw you about to protest. "We'll focus on light gym sessions, nothing more. These are your days off, you'll do anything but tennis."
You nodded, feeling somewhat scolded, almost like a child.
As the tension eased, the reality of a few days off in London began to sink in.
"Leah," you muttered.
"Huh? Did you say something?" Lucas turned to you when he heard your voice. You hadn't realized you had spoken aloud.
"What time is our flight?"

Love the not who he seems au!
I've got some(a lot of?) questions if that's alright?
After Ford finally wakes up, you mentioned that Bill watches over the littler twins' dreams, does he do something similar with Stan? do they chat in the Mindscape or anything? does he avoid Stan?
what are(of there are?) the immediate consequences to the relationship between them now that Ford is awake?
Has 'Stanfraud' ever had any interactions with any Unicorn hair?
What would happen if Stanfraud/Bill ever got any on him? Would he have an allergic reaction? Or other ill reactions?
Have the time police ever given Stanfraud/Bill any trouble?
In the 30 years that Stan and Bill have known each other, have they ever saved each other's life? Or gotten protective/defensive for each other?
Alright that's all for now! Bye!
Lots of questions are always alright!
Let’s go through all these:
— He definitely does it with Stan too. He doesn’t really have any reason to avoid Stan, except Ford obviously being against it. But… he won’t tell if Stan won’t. He makes excuses as to why he’s visiting Stan’s dreams so much, which Stan doesn’t comment on, he’s just oddly grateful he’s still around. And bleeding into the next question: this all being said, a few old angers have risen to the surface, seeing how broken down his brother is again, knowing Bill’s behind it, so sometimes their conversations get a little tense and Bill does avoid him for a few days after. Or he doesn’t, and gets a little to pushy, lashing out at Stan.
It doesn’t help that Stan feels some guilt still speaking with Bill because of Ford, and because of how adamant his brother has been about Bill being a threat to them. But, it isn’t as easy as just telling him to go away. He knows for a fact Bill wouldn’t listen. The kids would be upset too. They don’t now the depths of all this stuff.
And, not an immediate consequence, but the new tension will eventually bubble into a very intense argument between Stan and Bill that’ll probably have consequences for everyone.
— You know, I hadn’t quite considered that, but I think so yes! He has negative reactions to anything that works as an ingredient in repellent against him. Unicorn hair, definitely more of an allergic reaction, akin to something like hay fever. But something like Mercury probably burns him.
— I have thought about their being an ‘episode’ where Bill’s rivalry with Time Baby comes up, thanks to Dipper and Mabel messing with time, but I’d need to think more about that to give a proper answer. I don’t think he and Stan have ever been given any trouble prior, being as they haven’t messed with time themselves. Bill might try and get a rise out of any time agents if he spots them though, like Blendin. Just for fun.
— They have absolutely saved each other’s lives and that’s a catalyst in their relationship becoming what it is. This is another thing I need to think more on, but being as Stan didn’t fake his death, unfortunately some of his past comes back to haunt him, with old friends putting two and two together with his fake identities. I’m not sure where that would go yet, but I know Bill would step in and rescue him. Naturally, he claims it’s because he needs Stan to get out of this body, but he isn’t really convincing when he says that. There’s also likely a situation where Bill has gotten himself in danger, and Stan rescues him, but I haven’t settled on that. There’s probably a few more minor instances of them saving each other too.
And yes! They do get protective/defensive over each other. On Stan’s end it’s strange. Initially, he was having to protect Ford’s body from Bill. Bill was the threat. But now, he sometimes finds himself actually protecting Bill… because he’s his friend. He’ll jump to his defence about his behaviours if someone comments on them harshly for example. He’s the only one allowed to give him shit for being weird. And with Bill, he’s gone from trying to rile Stan up, calling him useless, a failure of a brother, to getting riled up himself when someone tries to have a go at Stan instead.
If either got physically hurt, they’d also be protective. They genuinely have each other’s backs. Stan at least has the excuse he’s looking out for his brother’s body, making sure Bill doesn’t damage it any further, and can poke fun at Bill later for not having an excuse.
“Sure you don’t just give a shit about this old ‘bag of flesh’?”
“Oh, please. Don’t flatter yourself, Fez. Your heart could stop right now and I’d dance over your corpse.”
I realise they’re basically just in a constant game of chicken on who’s going to admit they care out loud first — while sober.
I hope these have been satisfactory! Sorry if there’s a lot of questions I’m still unsure on or figuring out the answers too. I’m developing this AU as I answer all these.

Can you do a imagine where gavi is pretending to be mad at y/n and y/n doing several cute tactics to make him happy and he is just secretly enjoying it🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🥺🥺🥺🥺
My last lecture today got cancelled so I was able to get home before Pablo gets home from training. Quite often he gets home before me and he usually leaves before me but we mostly get to spend the evening together even if I have assignments I will do them sat with Pablo. Our schedules can be intense but we have made things work so we always get to spend time together and when one of us is having a hard time the other does things to help out. We are a good team together which I think has helped us stay in a strong and happy relationship for the last two years.
While I waited for Pablo to come home I had my laptop out and worked on an essay that I have for one of my classes. I didn't get to do that for long before the front door opened and Pablo walked in and threw his bag and shoes on the floor. Straight away I could tell he wasn't in a good mood something had annoyed him and he was trying to keep himself calm. He didn't notice that I was home at first but when he did I noticed the look in his eyes soften a bit as he never likes to take out his frustration on me which he's not perfect with but he tries and that's all I care about. Today I could tell he needed something to make him forget about today so I forgot about my essay and decided I'd make him his favourite snack to see if that would cheer him up a little bit.
Pablo has always loved my homemade cookies so I made a batch as quickly as I could and put them in the oven as they only take 10 minutes to cook. While I waited Pablo went and showered and changed so by the time he was back downstairs the cookies were done so I put a few on a plate and gave them to him. He ate one of them and then halved the second to give some to me and I can't lie they were good but they didn't really seem to cheer Pablo up as much as I thought it would. Whatever happened while he was gone must've been worse than I thought as usually cookies does the trick but I'll have to get more creative today it seems.
In the past when Pablo has had a bad day he likes to watch a sitcom so I thought I'd try putting Brooklyn nine nine on as we've watched that together before and he liked it. Today however it didn't seem to make any difference he just sat there staring at the screen not even smiling in the slightest. I would just ask him what's wrong but I've learnt the hard way that it's not always the best idea to do that as it can just make him more annoyed if he doesn't want to talk and it seems like he won't want to talk about whatever's bothering him today. As a sitcom wasn't working I thought maybe his favourite show might cheer him up but yet again it did nothing his eyebrows were still furrowed and he had a look of annoyance in his eyes.
After that didn't work I tried every other trick I have up my sleeve from showing him tiktoks of cats I saved to cuddling with him as he loves to cuddle but none of my tricks seemed to work. That's when it hit me that he might be mad at me and that's why nothing I do works as he just doesn't want to be around me. I can't think of anything I would've done to make him mad but then again he can get mad over the most random things sometimes. Seeing as I couldn't make him feel better and may be making him feel worse I decided to just take myself upstairs and work on my essay to give him time to be on his own and hopefully be less mad.
I tried working on my essay but I couldn't stop thinking about what I possibly could've done to make Pablo mad. We didn't fight before he left for training and we were texting before my lecture and during his break in training and he seemed fine then so I don't know what I've done wrong. Thinking about all of that just made me upset as I never like fighting with Pablo as he's not just my boyfriend he's my best friend too there is no one I'd rather spend my time with than him so when he doesn't want to be around me it hurts. Focusing on my essay went out the window quite quickly when tears started to fall from my eyes as I was so worried about whether Pablo will want to break up with me because I can't handle that right now.
As my tears started to flow properly I had to stifle my sobs so Pablo didn't hear me as I don't need him knowing that I'm crying over seemingly nothing. That's when I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and I panicked thinking Pablo had heard me crying and was going to yell at me for being too emotional. As the footsteps got closer I desperately tried to wipe the tears from my face so if he comes in here I can try and pretend I haven't been crying. Just as I feared Pablo opened the bedroom door and of course he could tell I'd been crying as I know my eyes and face were still red and puffy. He didn't say anything just walked to the bed and sat next to me so he could pull me into his arms which I really didn't expect. I looked up at him to see if he still looked mad but he didn't his expression had softened and if anything he looked like he felt guilty.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you mad" I said
"It's ok you didn't make me mad" he said
"Then what made you so mad that nothing cheered you up?" I asked
"Training was frustrating and the guys kept making fun of me so I was just in a bad mood then I came home and you made me cookies which did make me feel better but then I wanted to see what else you would do to make me feel better but I see now that doing that was a bad idea” he said
"So you aren't mad at me?" I asked
"No not at all and I'm sorry that I did that I really didn't mean to make you cry in fact that's the last thing I wanted I can promise you I'll never even do that again I'll always communicate my feelings with you so this doesn't happen again" he apologised
"You better not do this again" I laughed
"I definitely won't and I'm going to make it up to you" he said
He started on making it up to me straight away by laying down and getting me to cuddle into his chest as he knows that's my favourite way to cuddle. That wasn't the only thing he did he also played with my hair as he knows that I like that and he gave me a lot of kisses which always make me happier. We spent most of the rest of the day cuddling the only time we stopped was when Pablo ordered food from my favourite restaurant for dinner even though I'd told him I'd forgiven him already he insisted that he still had more to do to make up for making me cry which he said he was going to do for the rest of the week which is fine by me if it means I get to spend quality time with him.

I want to ask a question. Would Freyja be considered a Goddess of Grief? Considering her tears brought amber over Odr’s disappearance. I know that is more so the realm of Hel, (alas Freyja is a death Goddess in her own right too). I just haven't noticed that aspect delved into. And I've been thinking about it a lot.
In my grief over a recent passing of my father, I immediately felt her presence and from being so tired lately from it. I used my grief and cried as a devotional to her. Healing isn't linear and I go through a lot of bad days but her immediate strength came through after.
Of course we all experience the Gods differently, I just wanted to ask your thoughts! 🐈⬛🪻
I love this observation, and I absolutely agree. I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm so glad Freyja has been able to guide you in your journey through grief. It's an experience that's difficult beyond words to navigate.
I've actually associated Freyja with similar concepts for quite some time. If my experience may be brought to bear, she tends to manifest in times of emotional distress, such as when you’re depressed or anxious. I suppose that’s why devotees and people who have worshipped her for a long time sometimes refer to her as a “big sister”, or any other such protective figure. My experience is the same: she’s loving and kind, reaching out to those who are experiencing intense emotions and are having trouble processing them. She will help you to feet, at your own rhythm, and walk alongside you.
Plus, you've made a very good point, and one I've always tought was too often overlooked. She is heavily associated with passing and the afterlife. In a sense, she can be regarded as a figure that welcomes the dead with open arms. While I know it's not a topic that's easy to address, the passing of a loved one can be more easily accepted with the help of spirituality. While I know different people deal with grief in different ways, that's the case for me. And worshipping a Goddess of death to help with grief is not unheard of. You're actually not the first person to ask me such a question! I think turning to figures who have a say in what goes on in the aferlife is a natural instinct for a lot of us.
Now, to make a long story short, I think Freyja could very well be associated with grief. To me, she's a tribute to the fact that emotions, both good and bad, are beautiful. She's proof that even the Gods are not immune to them. You have my sincere condolences, and I pray that no matter how you choose to navigate your grief, you have a gentle journey to healing.

ok big question as someone looking at ENM, which my partner has also expressed interest in. I know myself to have too little spoons to be aware of more than one person at a time. I dread that pursuing someone else, even if just for a night, takes away resources from me that would make my main partner feel neglected. That and the general idea of neglecting to work on the relationship when there's a whole array of companions ready to serve a good time w/ no deeper work involved. What would you consider an ideal way to negotiate with these feelings?
You're touching on something that I've been wanting a word for for some time.
In nonmonogamy circles (I will not use the term ENM, because categorically declaring yourself to be ethical to be seems like a huge barrier to recognizing the ways in which you are not), there is much talk of jealousy -- the feeling that one's partner is not giving them enough attention and love. But there's comparatively little talk about the guilt one can feel about not giving enough love and attention to one's partner. That troubling sense that you are not showing up enough for everybody, that you are in some sense leaving a long-term partner behind.
I suffer from this guilt more than jealousy, much of the time. I find that I cannot be emotionally available to any kind of new partner because my heart is lingering in another room, waiting and longing for the partner I'm already attached to, and i'm anxious to dash off and get back to them as soon as I can, to make sure they feel cared for and to ensure I don't lose them. This happens even when I have a primary partner who fully does not mind that I'm off with somebody else, and does not feel insecure or jealous. I'm still intensely attached and anxious to reinforce that attachment. I have a horny slutty body, but a monogamous heart.
I think you may find, if you pursue nonmonogamy, that your attachment to your partner means a lot to you and quite difficult for a new relationship to replicate. Though the thrill of a new relationship or sexual encounter can certainly pull one's focus, most of the people you'll hook up or try dating won't share that spark with you that you share with your partner, and regardless, you won't have the shared history or bond there.
Other people won't be "easy" either -- they will come with their own host of traumas, insecurities, expectations, annoying quirks, hangnails and bad breath and baggage from their exes. It's true that some nonmonogamous people use new partners to try and fill what holes they perceive in their own lives, but they always fail if that is their outlook, because humans aren't an easily expended resource, they're a source of pain and annoying complexity just as much as delight.
Sometimes dating new people makes you aware of just how aligned you and your partner are on a variety of domestic life issues and long-term plans. Other times, yes, some long-neglected corner of yourself is rekindled by a new person and it's thrilling and you do feel called to open up more space in your days for them. And that can be tough, but it's also fine. But I generally wouldn't head into nonmonogamy with the expectation that it's going to be all fun and effortless sex with a cadre of available strangers. No, it's gonna be a fuckin pain in the ass, as all human relationships must be -- lots of tedious negotiations, awkward stumblings over who is going to pay the bill at dinner, farts in the bed, tantrums, bored moments watching some movie they love but you hate, cute chit-chat while petting their cats, and just all the other mundane stuff that makes a life.
And you gotta be ready to treat the new people you are dating like full people, too, by the way -- not see them as either a looming threat to your other relationship that you must steel yourself against, or as an ever-flowing river of pleasure that you think you're gonna drown in. Both those outlooks can become very dehumanizing, and I have often seen that when a couple opens up their relationship, it is their *new* partners who get overlooked and shafted and treated like shit, not their existing long-term partner. So that's something to be really aware of too, I think -- remember that you are getting to know a whole person and there are a lot of responsibilities that come with that, if it's anything other than an anonymous cruising hookup.

You know I might as well post this now...
Severe Miscalculation
Tw: misunderstanding (kinda), pretty intense descriptors of kissing and coupling. NSFW we having a literal roll in the hay!

Based on the slight discourse about 40k space marines in fandom vs Canon and if they experience...the desire for physical intimacy. And what happens when you mistakenly think the Majority of space marines don't have any interest in the stuff.
Edit! I've decided to connect this story to this other drabble I did. So if you'd like more context to the overarching story, here's the prequel.
I know it looks like I'm linking to the same story but I promise it Is a different drabble.
It was evening but not dark yet, the combined boon of daylight savings and a fresh spring rain making things humid, but not unbearably hot.
You wandered your neighbor's property in the normal fashion. Normal in such that your neighbor was absent, on a trip to visit her mother in another state.
And had left you, with the task of appearing twice a day to check on things and complete the few simple chores she had lying around. For a fair compensation mind you.
The tasks weren't even that hard, but it was more work on your already tight and physically taxing schedule.
As much as you appreciated your neighbor, you couldn't deny you'd been feeling the burnout recently, and not just from the weather bandying cheerfully back and forth between drenching rains and muggy, sweaty heat.
Honestly you needed a reset. Something to just Erase all that stress you'd been feeling. But given how tight your schedule had to be to just make ends meet, you doubted you'd get the chance to say...seek out a partner to help with such things.
Perhaps you should've look into getting something more mechanical in nature to help you.
Maybe throw a wink at the next random Noise Marine you saw. Unbonded ones supposedly had a proclivity for the naughty side of things.
Which made them an odd exception as Space Marines as a whole were thought to not have much sex drive. Or even be sex repulsed.
No shame to them. You often bounced between moments of desiring absolute carnality and vulnerability, then a few days later feeling like being touched would make you break out in hives.
"The wonders of the human mind~" You sighed with mock humor. Oh well, once you were done here you could go shower, curl up in your bed and hope your currently thrumming sexual frustration could shut the fuck up for a bit.
You strode through the open barn door.
CRASH!
"The FUCK!?"
"The FUCk!? The FuCK!? tTthHeEee FfUuucK!?!? -K-k-k!?!?"
An electronic parody of your own shriek came back to you, as the large looming shape with dark blue armor nearly doubled over, clearly finding your terror hilarious.
"FUCKING Dammit Khopesh!"
"FfFuUcCkKINg Da-Da-Da-DamMit KOoOopeSHhhhhh."
Normally you tolerated your neighbor's Nightlord, even found his shenanigans funny on occasion.
After all rolling with the punches or ignoring him generally made him lose interest. But you were hot, sweaty, tired and Not in the way you desperately wanted to be right now.
Honestly, you'd had preferred if he'd left with your neighbor on her trip, but...apparently he wasn't...quite bonded to her?
It was an odd situation, with your neighbors treating him more like an adopted son. And he...seemed to appreciate them too. Like genuinely, maybe he had a partial bond with both? Meaning when your neighbor left he preferred to stay with her husband and home as it needed defending?
It was sweet, but your care of your neighbors creatures had come LONG Before he arrived. And you sometimes felt like he pushed your buttons as a show of his resentment at your longer status is your neighbor's lives.
And the fact they still payed You to do the chores over trusting him with them.
You could understand some pettiness taking seed from that.
Maybe You could be petty back...
It Was said that Astartes, and Nightlords especially, could become overwhelmed when humans approached them too eagerly.
Hmm...
You straightened your back, took a deep breath as the big blue bastard was still modulating your voice at you, and Clearly enjoying it too much.
"Khopesh~" You cooed, the change in your voice catching his attention.
You, sauntered up to the big fella, putting a sway in your hips and calling on your still present sexual frustration to aid you in making this convincing.
"You know...that voice trick of yours is pretty nifty..." You stated, now close enough to touch him.
While mostly inscrutable behind his helmet, you could tell his demeanor had changed. He was standing mostly straight, looking down at you as you came closer, nearly touching but not quite.
"I'll even admit, you got me good with that scare..." You admitted, opening your mouth Just enough so he could see your tongue run over your teeth. "But...If you Really wanted to hear me Scream~ We could explore...other ideas..."
You smoothly undid the top button on your shirt, to emphasize your point.
'Your move Nightlord.' You thought, smiling smugly with your hands on your hips.
Khopesh responded by Not moving an inch. In fact, dare you say you thought him...
'Dumbfounded,' Not entirely the idea you wanted, him flusteredly retreating would've been Peak comedy to you. But this was fun too.
"Ah well...you don't seem interested?" You shrugged, still proud of yourself for rebuffing his childish prank. "It IS a rather abrupt thing to ask for, I don't blame you for chickening out." You assured with a mock sympathy.
You turned on your heel. One benefit to wearing jeans year round (the leg protection trumping the overheating) was the definition they gave your legs and...your other assets.
And by the throne you were putting that enticing sway back in your hips as you made your exit. You couldn't resist throwing one more light jab. "But, if you're ever interested in making me scream for real, just gimme a call-Oof!"
Well that was a shock. Your sauntering exit was interrupted by an arm clad in ceremite. And the Nightlord it was attached to must have moved at ungodly speed in order to block your path.
Well this was unexpected. "Uhh...what."
You were cut off by Khopesh's lowered arm coming up to firmly (but surprisingly gently) grasp your chin. As his other hand raised to the underside of his helmet.
Click, hiss
With a quick motion he removed his headgear, and dropped it without ceremony. Another surprise the back of your mind cataloged while the forefront was taken up with watching the way his midnight dark hair fell around his gaunt but handsome face.
And those eyes, those Eyes. Like pools of ink, disturbing but alluring all at once.
You'd seen his face before, but up close like this you're reminded of when you'd let his features be used in your private fantasys.
Especially his hair, touching it, stroking it, tugging it, brushing and washing it with the soft kind of intimacy your heart craved.
"Hmmm..." Khopesh took a deep satisfying inhale, as he smiled that wicked sharp toothed grin that drove you crazy.
"I can smell your thoughts..."
What.
Well again you were thrown off because your very literal coded mind could not understand what he meant by-
"They smell...mouthwatering~" He growled, wrapping his free arm around your torso and lifting you so you were nestled up against him, and one of his armored legs brushed right against your core.
The shiver that ran through you at the contact was not missed by either of you.
Ooooh...
Oh shit.
"I accept, your offer human..." Khopesh chuckled. "Unless you wish to...chicken out? As you said."
Oh. Oh that bitch.
You know what! Screw it! You were an adult, you were clean, you were on birth control, and you'd been flustered and frustrated for Far Too Long.
And this interdimensional level Bastard thinks he's going to get the best of you?
Fuck that noise.
You squared your shoulders, rose up (as best you could), grabbed the sides of Khopesh's face and planted a kiss right on his scarred, sharp tooth mouth.
His slight confusion over your shift was quickly forgotten as the Nightlord let out an absolutely Sinful sound as he shifted his own hands to pull you closer.
Your initiative payed off as you ran your tongue over the contours of his fangs, then sucked his upper lip between your own teeth. Giving it a light nip, before soothing with your tongue, and another kiss.
Khopesh was surprised by your boldness, excited by it too! But he wouldn't be outdone!
He used his shear size to over power, so he could explore your mouth the same way. Pulling back only slightly so he could nibble and suck at your lips before diving back in.
You caved for air first, of course you did, the bastard had three lungs and you only had two.
You panted for breath as a very smug Khopesh smiled before trailing his kisses up to your earlobe, and again marking and sucking spots that made you feel weak.
You should still answer with words, you thought, one of the few thoughts that could make it through your aroused haze at the moment. "I hope, you're nh! You're satisfied! With my answer...ah!"
The Nightlord chuckled, before replying. "I understand you Perfectly, my sweet little lullaby..." He hummed, before returning to his task of marking up your neck.
"But I don't think I will be Satisfied, for a while yet..."
You swallowed your nerves...because hot damn you don't think you've wanted anything more in your life!
"Bring it!"
...
"K-khopesh!" You plead as the Nightlord ravaged you, as he had been for the past two hours.
In hindsight, losing to him in the kissing stamina was probably the first sign of things to come. But your dumb horny brain had gotten you into this, and now you were pinned here.
Literally and figuratively.
He cackled, holding you up as he drove himself deep inside your sopping walls again and again. "Oooh, but my sweet little lullaby! I thought you wanted me to 'Bring It' I'm only doing as! you! asked!"
"Mm! Ulp! S-shut up!" You groaned as every thrust rocked your whole body, and though you were sore already you were still desperate for more.
"Awww...and here I thought you Liked my voice. I could smell your arousal every time you heard me speak after all~" He cooed, not losing rhythm despite his focus on taunting you. He lowered his face to your ear. "And every time you saw my face~ Your blushing, the scent of your wetness, it drove me to near madness!"
Wait he'd wanted you that much?
Khopesh continued unimpeded. "Not being able to touch you! To ravish you! To claim you! I- Mmm!"
The warmth you felt knowing he desired you compelled you to pull him into another kiss, wrapping your hand around his head and caressing his hair.
It was still carnal, but more than that it was filled with a tender sweetness. One that seemed to sooth the Nightlord's frenzy for a moment.
His movements slowed, and eventually stopped.
"Khopesh," You cooed, continuing to kiss him between words, playing and stroking his hair gently. It was a bit wiry, your fantasy of treating him to a hair spa day coming to mind.
But that was for later. There was something else on your mind right now. "Turn me around," You requested softly. "I want to hold you."
This seemed to take the Nightlord by surprise, but he acquiesced. Lifting you easily, before a different idea came to mind.
"Actually, could you lay back, I want to try something."
He was clearly still confused, "Very well,"
But if he got another kiss like the one you just gave him he'd do just about anything.
As he settled his back on the straw floor of the hay stall, you in turn settled above his hips. He kept one hand on you as you did so, partially to help with balance, and partially as reassurance that he could snag you easily should you leave again.
But your focus was clearly completely on Him, and oh did that send a shiver of delight through him. Almost as pleasurable as when you took him in hand and aligned him properly once more.
The stretch, the warmth, the closeness and even the slight sting as your Nightlord and you were once again joined.
You trembled with your own delight as you slid inch by inch and felt the warmth burrow deeper into your soft wetness. And the comfort and Pride you swelled with upon meeting your hips with his own.
But onto the main event. You began rotating your hips, sliding back and forth, never allowing him to slip completely from you. And of course squeezing with your inner muscles in a rhythm with your movements.
Khopesh groaned as the pleasure of coupling returned. He'd been staving off his own end to pleasure you, but laid back like this, seeing you not just accept him but Eagerly take part in this act. He found himself growing close.
"Mm, hmm! I, quite enjoy, this...something." He struggled to find the words, and struggled as he wanted You to reach one more peak before he did.
You chuckled at that, a genuine thing that actually made Khopesh blush. "I'M! G-glad! I wouldn't m-mind doing this with you...again."
Again? A bit of Khopesh's wicked grin came back. He gripped to his lullaby's hips and began picking up that savage pace from before.
"K-khopesh! Ah!" You yelped feeling your next peak approaching fast as he hammered your throbbing core.
"I! Have No! INTENTION! Of letting you slip away! My sweet Lullaby~" He growled as he finally let his full desire reach its peak!
"You! Are! Mine!" He hissed bringing his arms around your form and pulling you into a nearly suffocating embrace as he felt the incredible buildup finally release.
"Khope-aAaaahhh-!" You trembled as that bursting firework of tension finally crescendo ed for you as well. Leaving you trembling and clenching as Khopesh let his milky warmth fill you.
"Mine!.. mine...mine...min..e," He panted, his pace slowly reducing as he rode out those Wonderful aftershocks inside you, letting you both share in the pleasure as it faded.
You remained like that for a bit. Sticky, hot, tired, sweaty, but Satisfied. Just bringing your breathing back to normal and feeling the burn in your muscles the arousal had kept at bay.
You glanced at the Nightlord, not nearly as winded as you, but he had worked up a sweat, and his beautiful dark hair was tangled with stray bits of hay.
It was a comedic sight.
Khopesh found himself stirred by another of your adorable giggles, though he was confused by its source.
His confused face just made him look Cuter. But you stifled your laughter so you could explain.
"You've ah...you've got some barn glitter up here." You reached up to his dark hair and gently removed some to show him.
Khopesh actually snorted and grumbled, pawing at the other pieces to remove them. Again you found yourself amused.
"Here, let me help you." You offered sweetly.
You used your smaller hands and delicate touch to remove what pieces you could, and as you did Khopesh stared at your cute face that was set in a positive, but focused expression.
Your seriousness at such a simple task was endearing.
He wanted to keep you So Badly.
"Done," You stated cheerfully. "Well as much as I can, I think your hair will need a wash to get the smallest stuff out." You recommended. "I'll probably need a wash myself."
You were probably correct, though part of him loathed the idea of letting you go.
"I guess...since we both need one...we could shower together at my place...you know, to save water?" You gave him a wink.
Now it was his turn for his more literal thoughts to misunderstand. Would showering together reduce the amount of water needed for them to wash that drastically-
"Op! Looks like I missed a bit of barn glitter."
"What? Where?"
"Mwah!" You kissed him on the very tip of his slightly crooked nose.
Oh
OOOOOOH!
Ooooh~
He smiled that wicked smile, and he saw your blush erupt once more as you realized he understood your intention.
He Loved your boldness.
He was Definitely keeping you.
Edit: Hey this has a sequel now! Found here!

Can u do a buggy x sick reader? Fluff/comfort. The reader tries to get him to not take care of them because they don't wanna get him sick too.
I came down with a small fever and feel icky.
(if you do this, thank youuuuu)
PROMISE (Buggy x sick!Reader)
Warning: maybe swearing and the fact that english isn't my first language. Also the Reader is a f!Reader.
A/N: basically a fluffy scenario with a stubborn reader and a worried Buggy.
You haven't been feeling too well for a few days. At first it was just a simple sore throat, but now you feel your chest burning every time you cough a little. This morning you noticed that you also have a fever, not very high at first, but now you feel as if everything around you is spinning. You even have a headache because of the discomfort.
You haven't wanted to say anything to anyone, you've always been a pretty independent person and you don't want them to think that you can't stand even a simple cold. But as the hours go by, it's gotten to the point where you can hardly stand up. You feel your face getting very hot. It's not cold, but you're intemperate because of the fever. You have tried to hide your condition for as long as possible, but one of your companions seems to have gone off the deep end and now Buggy is standing in front of you, quite angry.
"Why didn't you say anything?" He's pacing back and forth nervously. He approaches you, taking off one of his gloves so he can touch your forehead.
You immediately pull away.
"Get off" you move away. "I don't want you to get it because of me. It's just a cold, don't worry."
"You're burning up, Y/N…"
You repeat to yourself that it's no big deal. Buggy is very dramatic, that's exactly why you didn't want him to know. Now he's sure to make a big deal out of it and end up sick. And it will all be your fault for not having known how to fake it properly.
You don't like to worry him, Buggy has too much on his mind to be wasting time on trifles. The idea of being a burden and not being able to fend for yourself disgusts you.
"I'll just go rest for a while and that's it" you tell him, smiling. "Don't be angry, come on…"
You sense that he is about to say something to you, but instead of opening his mouth, he just pulls his arms away from his body and sweeps you up.
"Buggy!" You exclaim, somewhere between surprised and embarrassed "What are you doing?"
"Didn't you want to go rest?"
"But I've already told you I'm going by myself. Really, if you do this you'll fall ill…"
Buggy moves closer to you, his arms back in place and now he has you pinned next to his body, carrying you as if you were a heavy sack. His face close to yours, his eyes on your face. You notice how his hands press against the parts of your body they have you by.
"Buggy, I'm serious, if we're that close…"
"What kind of guy would I be if I left you alone with that fever?"
His voice sounds dry, raspy. Buggy is usually outrageous when he gets angry, he likes people to notice him pissed off, to let everyone know he's not in a good mood and therefore the rest are going to pay for it. But right now his anger is different, much more intense, more real. Buggy doesn't yell or make a show of it, he just sounds like he's really hurt. As if you have really offended him.
"Buggy I… I didn't mean something like that. I just…"
"You think I care more about not catching a cold than supporting you?"
"Of course not!" You exclaim as you notice the pain in his words "I never thought anything like that, I just wanted to take care of you."
The clown clicks his tongue, shaking his head disapprovingly.
"Look how silly you are sometimes, baby doll" He cocks a half smile just before giving you a kiss on the forehead "This time I'm the one who has to take care of you. And that's what I'm going to do."
And that last sentence doesn't sound like a warning, but a promise.

Homesick (1)
Summary: What happens when Sam Witwicky's older sister, you, gets wrapped up with the conflict of the autobots and the decepticons coincidentally by visiting your family? Over time, it seems that you and the autobot's leader find out you two have more in common than you initially thought… But it doesn't really mean anything, right?
A/N: Hi everyone! This is gonna be my first actual long fanfic which I'm pretty nervous about (since I always seem to backtrack on the ones I try to write.)
But I recently watched Transformers 2007 and the brainrot is honestly too intense, I had to do something about it so bayverse OP x reader!! It's funny, I've been a transformers fan since 2017 and I've now just got around to watching the movie. I was kinda putting it off since it's not exactly a fan fav among some transformers fans haha. Oh yeah, there are a few scenes from the movie I won't write like the weird bumblebee piss scene and some of the mildly suggestive dialogue considering the other two main characters (besides the reader) are literally like 16 😭. Micheal bay is a freak!!!
Just a heads up, I guess I'm going for a more wattpad-y vibe for this fic considering some of the tropes that I'm using and the fact I'm going directly off of the tf 2007 movie (cause that's like every bayverse op x reader that's on there lolz). Idk Ig I just have a guilty pleasure for corny fics so yeah!!
If y'all want to read this on ao3 or Wattpad, it's in my pinned post :3 Anyways, bye pookies!!
As the moon's reflected light illuminated the dark room, it was quiet besides the occasional shuffling and jolting that came from your sleeping form. Suddenly your eyes shot open. You groaned as you sat up and felt a layer of cold sweat coating your forehead. You shakily got up from the bed and began a walk to the kitchen to get a glass of water. A small creak came from the cabinet and you grabbed a small glass and filled it with tap water, taking a few gulps. After four long years of college, you decided to move away from your hometown and all the way across the country to the east coast. Los Angeles was never your type of city as, in your opinion, it was mainly set up for movie stars and aspiring musicians, not computer scientists. So moving to a completely different city like Philadelphia to pursue your passion sounded like a fantastic idea. But now that you’re here, you’ve felt nothing but homesick.
You’ve always been a family-orientated person, always spending time with your parents and helping Sam, your little brother, with what he needed for school. Although he could be a serious little shit sometimes, the two of you were like peas in a pod, absolute besties! A small smile grows across your face as you think of the times you picked him up from school and took him to the arcade or when you always managed to find tickets to his favorite bands and saw them during the weekends.
A small sigh leaves your lips and you set down your glass on the counter. You walk back into your bedroom and take a look at the calendar hanging on the wall, the month being March. The thought of visiting your family crossed your mind and you could wait a few more months until summer came around but it’s not like you were working at the moment. After you moved, you were working a job as an information security analyst. The pay was definitely above average and it was going alright until an unsavory incident happened with a coworker and you literally couldn’t work there, so you quit.
Alright, I have enough money in my bank account to buy a plane ticket and to sustain me for a few weeks while I’m there. I should probably call mom in the morning and tell her I’m planning on visiting, her and dad will probably be ecstatic. As for Sam…
You opened a drawer on your nightstand and pulled out a piece of jewelry. It was an opal bead necklace you found at the mall one day. It was sort of an impulsive purchase, considering the price, but you thought it would be a nice gift for your little brother because opal was his birthstone after all. You gently placed the necklace back in the drawer and shut it, making your way back to your calendar and writing a few reminders on some of the upcoming days.
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
After all the planning and flying, you were finally back in California. It really was a pain since there somehow weren't any available flights to Los Angeles from Philadelphia so you had to spend the night in an empty airport in Kansas and fly to L.A. in the morning. A yawn falls from your lips as you drive through the familiar neighborhoods leading up to your family's home. You turn on the radio and the latest hit began to play, “Irreplaceable” by Beyonce you thought. It wasn’t really your type of music but it’s Beyonce.
A few minutes passed and you heard your phone ringing. You turned down the radio and grabbed it from the passenger seat, flipping it open and putting it against your ear. “Hello?”
‘Hi honey.’ It was your mom. ‘How far out are you?’
“Oh hi mom. I’m not that far, just give me a few more minutes. You don’t have to call me when you know I'll be there eventually.” You chuckled, gently pressing the brakes as you stopped at a red light.
‘I know, I’m just excited to see you!’ Her voice buzzed excitedly. ‘I’ll be waiting outside for you, see you in a bit.’
“See you in a bit.”
A few moments later the familiar layout of your house came into view and you couldn't help but feel a bit giddy. You saw your mom, Judy, excitedly waving next to the frontdoor, you smiled to yourself. You pulled your car into the driveway and got out of it, Judy pulling you into a tight hug, swaying you from side to side slightly. "I'm so happy to see you, honey!"
She said sweetly, pulling away while holding both of your hands. "How’s my little genius been?"
Your smile turned into a small frown. "Oh I've been doing... alright for the most part. I had to quit my job recently because of a bad experience I had with a coworker. I’ll tell you about it later but it really sucks, I liked that job." You grimaced slightly at the memories of the not-very-pleasant experience, Judy patting your back in a comforting manner. "Anyway, say, where's dad?" You abruptly changed the subject.
"Oh, your father had to run some errands, but he'll be back soon. He's been so hellbent on making his grass perfect. I think he's starting to go a bit crazy." She said, doing a swirly motion around the side of her head.
You chuckle as you walk back over to your car to retrieve your bag and suitcase. You and Judy walk into the house, an excited mojo greeting you by jumping up and down in that typical chihuahua fashion. "Aw, hi mojo." You cooed, leaning down and petting him near his ears. "I missed you too." Your eyes drifted down to his coller, seeing the jewelry wrapped around his neck.
“Is this your doing, mom?” You laughed.
Judy simply shrugged. “I think it looks cute on him. Oh yeah, Sam's upstairs doing his whole eBay thing, I'm sure he'll tell you all about it when you talk to him." Judy said, walking towards the kitchen and preheating the oven. "Do you need help with your bags?"
"No I'm alright mom, thanks though." You say, walking towards the staircase with your bags in hand.
"Alright honey, make sure to tell Sam I'm making lunch."
"Will do!" You holler from upstairs.
You head towards the rather empty room that used to be yours and set your things down, looking around at the empty walls where posters used to hang and the still neat bed, feeling a little nostalgic. You exit your room and head right to Sam's, ignoring the do not enter sign and opening the door. You see your brother’s hunched over figure messing around on his computer and shake your head, knocking on the door frame to alert him of your presence. Sam jumped, turning around suddenly. "Jesus! You scared the shit outta me. I didn't know you were here yet."
"I can't believe you didn't hear me. Come here, give me a hug dude." You said, spreading your arms in an inviting motion. Sam rolled his eyes and walked over and hugged you. You gave him a small pat on the back and pulled away from him, giving him a small grin. "So how are things? How's school?" You asked.
"It's good, pretty good. I've been trying to get this whole eBay thing running. Oh yeah, and dad made a deal with me and soon I’ll have my own car. I just gotta get an A on this history project coming up." Sam replied, turning around and typing a few more things into his laptop before closing it.
“Wow, that’s awfully generous of him. I’m excited for you though.” You chuckled, leaning against his door frame and crossing your arms. "Anything new with that one girl… What was her name?"
"You mean Mikaela?”
“Yeah Mikaela, The girl you’ve liked since forever and is totally not out of your league.” You said sarcastically.
"What??" Sam exclaimed, whipping his head towards you. "She is not out of my league! She is really gorgeous and stunning in every single way, and she would totally give me a chance. I just gotta… ask her.”
"And when will that be, Casanova?" You laughed.
"Soon! Really really soon. When I get this car next week, and I will get that A, then I’ll have a chance! Any girl loves a guy with a nice car." Sam said, a cocky tone in his voice.
"Oookay, I hear you... oh yeah! Hold on, I got something for you, give me a second..." You walked into your room and rummaged through your purse, pulling out the necklace. You walk back into Sam’s room and excitedly give him the piece of jewelry. “I found it while I was shopping at the local mall a few months ago. Since Opal is your birthstone, I thought you’d like it. And it’s also not a super girly necklace, you’re welcome by the way.”
Sam took the necklace from your hands and admired the carefully strung together beads in the sunlight of his window, the beads glimmering a variety of colors. “Wow this is really neat. Thank you but y’know, I'm not really much of a jewelry guy." Sam said a bit nervously.
"Oh come on, wear it!" You pat him on the back reassuringly. "Girls love guys who are comfortable with their sexuality, it shows maturity. Besides, you'll look like one of those... surfer guys. You know what I mean? When they wear those small necklaces.”
Sam frowned and gestured to himself. "Do I look like a surfer guy?"
"I’m just trying to be supportive!" You said, making your way out of the room. "By the way, mom's making lunch. Make sure not to get too engrossed in your master plan of getting with Mikaela and actually put some meat on those bones." You commented teasingly.
Sam groaned and waved you off dismissively, sitting down at his desk again. You chuckle and walk into your room, crouching down and pulling a few essentials out of your suitcase. Now that you’re back in Cali, you were excited to see a few of your friends that you’ve been friends with since high-school. Funnily enough, you managed to become friends with the “popular girls” solely because you helped a few of them with their math and science work and now they deemed you besties for life.
Which you didn’t mind honestly.
Most of these girls were rich and actually really nice despite what people stereotype “popular girls” to be. The person that comes to mind is your friend Felicity. She’s probably the one you would call your “top tier bestie”, the girl that constantly came over to your house when you were a teenager (annoying your brother immensely), the girl that called you like every single day you were away to college since you two went to different ones. She was super duper excited when you called her, telling her how you were gonna be in town for a few weeks.
Of course she had plans for you two to go to the spa and then go to the beach and blah blah blah. It would be nice to get out of the house every once in a while to catch up since Sam's gonna be in school most of the time. You put your laptop down on your bed and was about to sit down before you heard your mom yell for you from the kitchen.
“Hey sweetie, can you come down and help me?”
“Oh– Coming Mom!” You quickly got up and left your room, heading downstairs. You couldn’t help but look forward to the next few upcoming weeks, knowing it’ll be the most eventful and actually fun thing you’ve done in months.

WC- 821
You sat in a booth at your favorite cafe listening to your boyfriend and coworkers laugh and talk loudly, nothing was out of the ordinary until you heard your name being called from a familiar voice. You spun your head around to see an old friend from your previous job giving you a bright smile. You quickly got up from your spot and ran over to wrap your arms around him.
“How have you been, dear?” He asked, wrapping his arms tightly around you.
“I’ve been great! This new job is really fun. I’ve made tons of friends and even-”
“A boyfriend, I see” He laughed, staring over your shoulder.
You looked over to see Ranpo glaring intensely at the two of you. You gave him a small smile before turning back around.
“He can get a little jealous sometimes. Come on, I’ll introduce you” You smiled, dragging him with you back to your table. “This is Dazai, Yosano and last but certainly not least, this is my boyfriend, Ranpo”
Your friend gave a smile to everyone before going to shake Ranpos hand, “Pleasure to meet you”
Ranpo gave a fake smile, “Quite”
Your friend gave a small chuckle before looking back to you, “I must get going now but we should get together if you’re free this evening?”
You agreed and gave another small hug before waving goodbye and sitting back in your seat besides Ranpo.
“Well he seems pleasant” Dazai smiled
“Oh yeah. He seems great” Ranpo muttered, his words dripping with sarcasm.
You rolled your eyes at his pettiness before excusing yourself, “I have to get back to the office. Kunikida has been blowing up my phone about an unfinished report.”
・❥・
You assumed Ranpo would be back to normal by the time he made his way back to the office, but you were incredibly mistaken. Despite his fake smiles, he would barely speak a word to you.
“Did I do something wrong?” You asked, stepping into the elevator beside him at the end of the day.
“No” He responded, keeping his responses as short as possible.
The walk home was silent, the only sounds being your soft footsteps and Ranpo sighing, clearly trying to show he was upset without actually saying it.
Once you both were inside your home, you spun around to look up at him with your arms crossed.
“Yes?” He asked, his emerald eyes staring down at you.
“Why do you keep pouting? Ever since I saw my old friend you’ve been acting jealous!”
“Did you ever think maybe I am jealous?” He asked, blinking slowly.
Your eyes widened, “Of what?!”
“I don’t like him” He responded, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
“Why?”
“He’s tall, he’s handsome. You clearly enjoy being around him. I just don’t want him to take you from me and he’s trying to!” Ranpo explained, his bottom lip jutting out in a small pout as he finished speaking.
“He’s certainly not trying to take me from you, my love. I promise”
“Yeah? And how do I know that?”
“Because Ranpo, He-” You started but were instantly cut off by your cell phone ringing.
Ranpo looked down at the caller ID before scoffing, “Of course” he sighed, seeing your friend from earlier calling.
You glared at him before answering the phone on speaker,
“Hello, darling!” He started, causing Ranpo to glare towards your phone. “I unfortunately have to cancel our plans tonight, something has come up with work” You glanced up to your boyfriend, seeing a small smile form on his lips, “But I would love to invite you and Ranpo over for tea this week. My partner and I would love to have you”
You watched as the color drained from Ranpo’s face, causing you to let out a small giggle, “We would love to! I miss both of you”
“Wonderful! I will message you when we have a set time. It was lovely seeing you today”
You quickly finished up your conversation, hanging up the phone and glancing back towards Ranpo.
“As I was saying, he already has a partner. And even if he didn’t, I will only ever love you. You make me happier than any person on this earth” You smiled, hugging your boyfriend tightly as he sighed.
“I’m sorry I was wrong. I didn’t mean to get so jealous” He spoke, pulling you tighter to his chest.
“You were what? Could you say that again?”
“No.” He replied with a small laugh. “Can we go cuddle?”
“Of course,” You smiled, pulling away from the hug. “I’ll get snacks, Go put on a movie”
Ranpos eyes lit up, “I love you so much” He spoke, kissing your forehead before turning towards the living room to put on a movie.
You smiled as you watched him walk away, you felt so lucky to have him, even if he was an idiot sometimes.

Perched atop a marble table in the grand library, you swing your legs back and forth, enjoying the peace and quiet that permeates the room. Or perhaps not so quiet, you are having a conversation. Matthew and Fēlix are both at your side, engaged in a light-hearted debate about palace rumors. The former's feathers ruffle as he speaks with the distinct lilt of a man turned raven. A spicy one at that.
"Lucienne told me that Cain and Abel are at it again," Matthew says, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "They've been arguing about who gets to host the next feast."
Fēlix scoffs, shaking his head. "Those two could argue about anything," he replies, his eyes glinting with mirth. "Eons and they still can't seem to get along. I blame it on their story."
"Yeah, doesn't Cain kill Abel every day?" You hum a yes to Matthew's question and wonder how Goldie is doing.
"They have to relive their story; it's part of them being denizens within the realm," you explain, glancing at Fēlix who nods in agreement.
"Must be exhausting," Fēlix muses, leaning forward now, his interest piqued. "I mean, imagine going through that every single day. Cain digs a hole, every single day, forever. At least he doesn't seem to mind it, I've seen their laundry bills. Blood is a bitch to get out of clothes."
"That's what hydrogen peroxide is for," You interject lazily, swinging your legs some more. You glance around the library, taking in the high ceilings, intricate carvings, and towering shelves filled with books, their spines stamped in glimmering gold.
The scent of old parchment and ink fills your nose, bringing a sense of comfort and familiarity. Despite its grandeur, the library has always felt like a cozy sanctuary to you. A place where you can escape the chaos of the Dreaming and simply lose yourself in the pages of a story. When not within the arms of your dream lover.
"So, what else is new around here?" you ask Fēlix, picking up where your conversation left off. "Any other juicy tidbits you've heard?" You pull up your legs and lean forward, resting your chin on your knees, eager for some form of entertainment.
Fēlix pauses for a moment, tapping his chin thoughtfully. "Well, I heard that Rhyme is trying to teach Riddles how to dance," he says, grinning, his cardinal compass glowing brightly. "Apparently, they've been practicing in one of the empty ballrooms."
Matthew snorts, shaking his head. "Can you imagine? Riddles, dancing? I bet it's quite the sight."
You can't help but laugh at the mental image. Riddles, with his perpetually stern expression and rigid posture, attempting to glide across the floor in time to the music. It's quite amusing to think about. He doesn’t have the feet for dance.
"I wonder if they'll ever perform for the rest of us," you muse aloud. "It'd be quite the show, I imagine."
Fēlix shrugs, his shoulders lifting beneath his dreamy golden robes. "Who knows? Maybe we can convince them to give us a private performance sometime."
"Or just have a ball," You throw in.
Matthew's beady eyes sparkle at the idea, and he hops up and down, a flutter of black feathers. "A ball? In the palace? Can you imagine? The music, the food, the dance! The food!"
"You said food twice," You point out as Lucienne, seated across from were you are perched on the table, lifts her head from the book she's been engrossed in. Her glasses perch on the bridge of her nose, reflecting the warm light of the candles scattered around the room.
"A ball?" She raises an eyebrow, peering over her spectacles. "What's all this about a ball?"
Fēlix leans back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest and grinning at Matthew. "It was just an idea," he explains. "Imagine how fun it would be to have everyone dressed up and dancing around!”
Lucienne looks thoughtful for a moment before shrugging. "It could be fun," she admits. "But it would also be a lot of work and we would have to broach the subject with Lord Morpheus."
You glance at Lucienne, intrigued. "Do you think he'd go for it?"
Lucienne shrugs, her glasses glinting in the soft candlelight. "Who knows? Lord Morpheus is full of surprises."
Matthew lets out a soft caw, his feathers ruffling in amusement. "I'd love to see him all dressed up for a ball! He's got style."
Fēlix chuckles, the sound echoing around the quiet library. "Who says he hasn't done it before? I've heard stories about his penchant for balls. What do you think, Kora?" Fēlix asks, turning to you. "Would you like to dance with Lord Morpheus at a ball? I bet you would look incredible."
"I've never even met him, why would I dance with the Lord of the Realm?" You ask, hugging your arms around your folded knees. "Besides, I have absolutely no idea how to dance and you all know I have eyes for someone else, thank you very much."
"Like I wouldn't teach you," Fēlix huffs.
You blink at Fēlix, a small chuckle escaping your lips. "You? Teach me to dance?" You give him a playful nudge with your elbow. "That'd be a sight."
Fēlix shrugs nonchalantly, his cardinal compass glinting. "I happen to be a great dancer," he says, feigning offense. "Matthew can vouch for me."
Matthew chortles, the sound akin to the crackling of dry leaves underfoot. "Fēlix has two left feet," he caws, earning a light swat from the dream in question.
"You're just jealous," Fēlix retorts, sticking his tongue out at Matthew.
The raven only squawks in reply, fluttering his wings.
Ignoring their banter, you slide off the table and wander over to one of the towering bookshelves. You run your fingers along the spines of the books, their embossed titles glimmering beneath your fingertips.
"What about you, Lucienne?" you call over your shoulder, plucking a book from the shelf at random. "Would you dance at this hypothetical ball?"
Lucienne hums thoughtfully from her spot across the room. "Perhaps," she replies after a moment's pause. "It's been quite some time since I last danced."
You grin at her response and open the book in your hands. It's an old fairy tale, one you've read countless times before but never tire of. A loud raven call draws your attention away from the book and back to Matthew and Fēlix who are now arguing about whether Goldie could beat Cain in an arm-wrestling match.
"I think she could," Fēlix says, leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms over his chest. "Goldie's stronger than she looks."
Matthew squawks in disagreement, flapping his wings in indignation. "Cain is the eldest! He's got strength on his side."
Rolling your eyes at their antics, you stride over to the pair. "Alright, you two. Enough about Cain and Goldie. We all know Goldie could take him down without breaking a sweat. It would only take a look."
Matthew caws in protest, but Fēlix only grins at you, a twinkle in his eyes. "Oh, look at you, defending Goldie's honor," he teases.
Ignoring his jibe, you cross your arms over your chest and give them both a stern look. "What's next on the agenda? Gossiping about who's dating who?"
Fēlix leans back in his chair. "Speaking of dating, Kora," he begins, a teasing lilt to his voice, "I've been wondering about this dream lover of yours."
Matthew ruffles his feathers and turns to look at you with a quizzical tilt of his head. "Oh yes, your secret lover. We've all been dying to know more.”
You roll your eyes and try to wave them off, but it only seems to fuel their curiosity.
"Come on, Kora," Fēlix insists, grinning like a cat who got the cream. "Give us a hint. Is he a dream or a nightmare?"
Matthew hops closer to you on the table, his beady eyes sparkling with interest. "Yeah, does he have wings? Or maybe horns? Ooh! Or maybe he's one of those fancy types with a crown?"
You let out an exasperated sigh but can't help the smile that tugs at your lips. "You're both incorrigible," you chastise them lightly. "I'm not telling."
Fēlix pouts at you, feigning hurt. "Not even a little hint?"
"Especially not a hint," you retort playfully.
"You don't even know, do you," Fēlix finally huffs. "Always with the blindfold. Come on, give me some detail about him. How tall is he? What's his voice like? How big is his coc—"
"Respectfully," You loudly exclaim, cutting Fēlix off before he had your cheeks blazing with fire. "shut up."
"Aw, come on, Kora," he whines, giving you his best puppy-dog eyes. "Just a tiny hint?"
"No hints!" You declare firmly, crossing your arms over your chest. "And no more asking about it either."
Felix sighs dramatically, slumping back in his chair with a huff. Matthew, however, seems amused by the whole exchange. He gives a caw of laughter, ruffling his feathers.
"I told you she wouldn't tell," he teases Felix, hopping around on the table. Before Felix can respond, the library doors swing open and in walks what you can only describe as the palest goth you've ever seen with the most incredible eyes.
Lucienne straightens in her seat at the sight of him and clears her throat. "Lord Morpheus," she greets formally while you continue to gawk. Holy shit, this, is Morpheus!? Morpheus walks into the room, a picture of gothic elegance. He's taller than you expected, his lean form draped in dark coat that seem to drink in the light around him. But his eyes, his eyes are incredible. "Lord Morpheus," Lucienne repeats with more emphasis, eyeing you out of the corner of her spectacles.
You realize you've been caught staring and quickly avert your gaze, your cheeks burning with embarrassment. You'd heard tales about the Dream Lord, but seeing him in person is an entirely different experience. Matthew and Fēlix are silent for once, their playful banter dying on their lips as they too turn to acknowledge the ruler of this realm.
"Lucienne," Morpheus responds with a slight nod of his head. His voice is deep and velvety smooth, resonating through the library with an uncanny echo. It's as if he carries the whispers of countless dreams and nightmares within him. It's almost familiar to you, but you are fairly sure you would remember meeting a being like him. Even his voice matches his regalness, dripping with a poshness that you can only contribute to him being an Endless. Morpheus nods in response and turns his gaze towards you. His eyes hold an unreadable expression as he takes in your presence. "And who is this?"
You clear your throat and Lucienne seems to pick up on something because she suddenly stands from her seat and gestures towards you. "Kora," she says, catching your attention. "I don't believe you've formally met Lord Morpheus."
You blink at her words before turning to look at Morpheus again. Despite all the times you've seen shadows him around the palace, you've never really spoken to him or been formally introduced. Or really gotten a look at him. And yet... something about him feels familiar. His voice is too deep, too formal, for you to have met him before, surely.
"Lord Morpheus," Lucienne continues, gesturing towards you with an open palm. "This is Kora. She's been a great help around the palace and she's... well, she's become quite a fixture here in the Dreaming and a good friend to Matthew."
His gaze shifts to you again and he gives a slight nod of his head. "Kora," he says, his voice low and rich. "A pleasure to meet you." Oh you definitely would have remembered him with the way he speaks your name. Yet the pesky thought of familiarity still lingers.
You swallow nervously and give a small curtsy, suddenly feeling out of your depth. "The pleasure is all mine, Lord Morpheus," you reply, wracking your brain for some sort of idea on what you were supposed to do in the presence of an Endless. Your mind came up with nothing.
A slow smile curves Morpheus' lips. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything important," he says, his voice deep and resonating throughout the library. "What were you discussing?"
Matthew's beady eyes shift from you to Morpheus and back again, his raven head tilting in curiosity. Felix merely grins, the corners of his mouth twitching with barely concealed amusement. The raven's gaze is heavy on you, but you refuse to meet it.
"Oh, nothing much," you reply nonchalantly, trying to sound casual. "Just... discussing the possibility of a ball."
"A ball?" Matthew scoffs, flapping nearer and shaking out his feathers. "We were discussing your romantic escapades, girl!" You air out a screech of annoyance in the back of your throat and slapped a hand to your face. "Don't get sassy with me, you’re the one running around having sexcapades with one of the boss’ creations."
Matthew's laughter rings through the library, a series of sharp, raucous caws that echo off the high ceilings. He flutters his wings, sending a few loose feathers spiraling down to the floor.
"Oh, Kora!" he cackles, his beady eyes gleaming with mischief. "Your secret's out now!"
Morpheus, however, remains silent. A hint of amusement flickers in his incredible eyes, but he doesn't say a word. Instead, he watches you with an intensity that makes you squirm in place. His gaze lingers on you for a moment longer before he speaks. "It seems you've been enjoying your time in the Dreaming," he remarks, his voice painfully smooth. "I am… pleased, to hear that."
Oh you could crawl in a hole and die hearing him tell you that!
You feel a flush creep up your neck and settle on your cheeks at his words. Matthew squawks again, hopping around on the table with glee. "Oh, she's been enjoying it alright!" he teases, earning a glare from you.
"If the rotisserie speaks again, I am not helping him preen his feathers any further!" You hiss at the cackling bird.
Matthew pauses mid-caw and cocks his head at you. "Hey!" he protests. "You promised not to call me that anymore!"
"I did no—" you try to exclaim, but a wave of weariness overwhelms you, causing your sight to blur and the library, along with everyone in it, to lose focus. You blink, only to discover you're in your bed, with the gentle glow of dawn illuminating your room. "Oh, give me a break," you groan, pressing your palms to your eyes. "I can't believe I just had that conversation in front of Dream of the Endless."
Back in the Dreaming, Matthew watches as you disappear, his beady eyes filled with a strange sadness. He flutters back down to the table, his black feathers ruffling up around him like a cloak.
"It gets quiet when she's gone," he mutters to himself. He picks at his feathers with his beak, straightening them out with meticulous care.
Fēlix glances over at Matthew from where he's seated at the table. He gives a slow nod of agreement. "It does," he says softly. "The palace isn't quite the same without her."
Lucienne adjusts her glasses and returns to her book without comment, but there's a tightness around her eyes that wasn't there before. Even Morpheus seems affected by your departure. His incredible eyes hold a far-off look as he gazes at the spot where you disappeared from.
For a long moment, silence fills the library — a silence that's not quite comfortable. It's a silence filled with thoughts unspoken and words unsaid. A silence that speaks volumes about how much they all miss you when you're gone.
Finally, Matthew breaks it with a soft sigh. "I miss her when she's not here," he admits quietly. The others don't respond right away, but there's no need for words. In their own ways, they all miss you too.

I've been thinking about this for too long!!! What do u think lee would be like as a girl mom?
girl mom!lee headcanons 😭🙏🏽
AHHHHHH girl mom!lee is actually gonna make me sob and scream -- wrote this in the perspective of lee being reader's wife and them having a daughter <33
♥♡∞: 💓。.。 🎀。.✨。:∞🌷♡♥
when your guys' daughter was a baby, lee loved quiet nights with her. she'd hold her to her chest, mouth flashing a rare smile as your daughter's cute mouth opens in her state of drowsiness. lee would hum to her, stroking the tuff of hair on her head and her small back, just relishing in the calm moment with her
definitely had to learn how to manage getting overstimulated and overwhelmed with all the crying and things to keep up with
sometimes, you'll just catch her watching your daughter in fascination. like, she'll be sound asleep in her crib, or on her back on the bed, and lee is just perched over, or lying on her side, watching her quietly. her fingers will stroke your baby's tiny hands, and a small smile will curl at her lips when her daughter grips onto one
SUPER protective. lord don't even THINK of messing with this woman's daughter. lee isn't big on social interactions, but if, for example, someone is bullying her kid, she's immediately getting shit done to solve it, heading straight to her daughter's teacher, and if needed, even getting in contact with the parents of the bully in question. she might fumble a bit, and feel quite uncomfortable, needing a sec, but once she settles into the conversation, she's calmly asserting what she thinks needs to be done
learns to take better care of herself through her daughter. lee's not always the best at validating her own feelings, or keeping track of things like consistent meals and sleeping well. but, through trying her best to constantly assure and comfort her daughter about her emotions, and trying to stick to structured routine with the kid, it helps her regard and address her own emotions in a better way, as well as take care of herself by also following the routine she sets for her daughter. plus, she wants to be a good example, and she doesn't her daughter following her bad habits
read a shit on of parenting books prior to the kid, since as usual, her solution to her stress over the future's uncertainty was to do extensive research and planning
doing hobbies and hangouts with her daughter really heals her inner child :''') growing up, she spent a lot of time alone due to ruth's work, and as ruth became more distant, hazy, pressing about religion, as well as kept expanding on her hoarding, lee just became all the more closed off. she doesn't want her child to go through what she did. she wants her child to feel that lee is a present figure in her life, even though it gets hard sometimes with intense and active cases in the bureau. she also wants her child to feel listened to, and not pushed to do anything, whether that be a belief system, or accept a behaviour of lee's that she doesn't like and/or feels hurt by. she wants her daughter to have a say. and through giving this love, affection and attentiveness to her daughter, lee feels that even if she didn't get those things, at least she gets to give them to her kid. it also helps her realize ways in which she was neglected throughout her childhood, which sometimes results in her feeling overwhelmed after hanging with your guys' daughter, crying softly into your chest about it
she's literally so awkward with children, and it's def something she worried about at first, for she was scared that that she wouldn't connect well with her daughter. as a baby, sure, it was easy -- your kid didn't talk, so lee got to be as quiet as she wanted LMFAO. sometimes, if she was in a mood to ponder about something that happened in her day, or even discuss a case, she'd quietly talk to your baby about it. when you discovered this habit, you were totally endeared (duh), but also mildly concerned about lee discussing cases. she had just shrugged and said, "what? I don't give any details about them."
but, of course, things get a bit more tough when your daughter is getting older and begins to crave conversation. lee doesn't want her feeling neglected or ignored, so she tries her best to respond and ask questions. she just struggles a bit to communicate with someone so much younger, but she has good intentions at heart -- she finds it genuinely fascinating to witness your daughter growing up and developing interests, hobbies and personality traits. she loves seeing the little human she's turning into, and always feels herself growing fonder and fonder everyday of her child
and c'mon, your daughter is more than enamoured with her mom, lee. she knows lee is quiet, but lee's constant efforts are more than enough assurance of her determination to do right by and care for your kid, who totally feels it. she knows lee will give into anything she asks for hehe, as well as the fact that she can bring up anything with lee. anything hurting her, anything at all -- she knows lee will always listen and do her best to help
you totally find it attractive just how good lee is with your guys' daughter ofc, and you can't help but always take pride in the fact that this woman you chose, the mom to your daughter, is the kindest you could've asked for

Heyyy brainrot hope you are resting well from those back to back 12 hours and i have thought about a new scene what about MC bursting into a song out of nowhere and surprising M6 you know like how we randomly think about a song and just starts singing about it.
Bonus points if M6 is the one thinking about the song and MC starts to sing it aloud if you know what i mean
Enjoy your next 24 hours. And have a great week
The Arcana HCs: M6 reacting to MC singing
~ @godslayer143 I know exactly the moment you're talking about - I do this to my family members all the time XD The honorable lobster friend also requested a singing MC, so here this is! - brainrot ~
- opening quotes are canon, from Heart Hunter responses to MC's serenade option -
Julian
"Next time, let's make it a duet! What do you say?"
As previously shown, he's immediately asking to sing along with you. Don't worry, he's very good at duets!
If he knows the song, he can jump right in. If he doesn't, you can teach it to him
Sometimes when Malak hears duets he decides he wants to add some harmony too, which frustrates Julian's attempts at a romantic moment to no end
Doubles his efforts to sing with you in public. You're a few drinks in at the Rowdy Raven? He's starting a drinking song and trying to drag you up on the table to lead everyone in the chorus with him
Sometimes, he just wants to hear your voice without his own ringing in his ears. If you're in the mood for it, he'll tune his vielle to accompany you instead
Having traveled around the world, he's picked up quite a few different songs and he will try to teach them to you. It's okay if you can't get the Nevivon pronunciation right away, he'll coach you
If you start randomly singing the song that's been stuck in his head all day he'll forget his manners and jump right into singing along
Asra
"I've always loved the sound of your voice, MC."
It doesn't matter what they're doing, the sound of you singing is enough to make them drop whatever they're up to and tune out the rest of the world
If you're singing something really energetic or upbeat, he'll be a little faster to shake himself out of it. He'll keep bopping his head along though
If you're singing something slower or more romantic, they'll pull you into a slow dance and encourage you to keep singing
There's one thing he loves to do though, and it's tease. Don't sing anything too heated or he'll take it as his cue to fluster you
Cue increasingly suggestive eye contact as the lyrics get more intense until you cave and use your mouth for kissing instead
They'll never ask or pressure you to sing, but they won't hesitate to mention that you have a beautiful voice if it comes up
If you start singing a song he was thinking of he'll just be quietly surprised (doesn't want to interrupt)
Faust, on the other hand, has also had that song running through her head, and she will let you know: Friend singing? Surprise!
Nadia
"What a bold declaration of affection, MC. I'm impressed."
Let it be known that she only ever sings alone, in the bath, where no one can hear it
However, if you trust her with your voice, she might (might!) trust you with hearing hers one day
She prefers to accompany you on her organ
If you have the slightest interest in training your voice, she will find the best vocal coach for your style and preference possible
In the same vein, she will never pressure you to sing, but she will often request it or maybe suggest that you perform at a palace function. Only if you're up for it, of course, but she has faith in you!
If you get one of her sisters to secretly teach you a childhood favorite of hers from Prakra and surprise her with it she will lose her words
Nobody knows how it happens but Chandra appears within minutes whenever you sing. It doesn't matter how far away she was when you started
If you sing a song she's been thinking of she'll ask you if you have clairvoyance. Don't tell her that she was humming it under her breath all morning
Muriel
"..................."
As suggested, his usual response to hearing you sing is silence
He doesn't want to disturb or interrupt you, he just gives you his attention
Speaking of attention, don't look at him while you're singing. It's too much for him to handle and he'll start trying to sweat out his blush
As overwhelming as it can be for him though, he could listen to you all day. Your voice fits into the trees and the birdsong so perfectly it brings him peace
He may or may not scout out the spots with the best natural acoustics and regularly take you there
He has a deep, rumbly voice that he refuses to sing with, but there is one exception to this rule. Ask him to be your drone
If you can find a peaceful song that harmonizes perfectly with a sustained note, pitch it low enough to be comfortable for him, and ask him to sing it where nobody else can see or hear him, he'll do it
And he will sound incredible
Inanna, on the other hand, will become as playful and affectionate as a pup if you sing something upbeat enough
Portia
"I didn't know you could sing like that, MC! What else are you hiding from me?"
Starts asking you about all the songs you know. Can you do magic with singing? Have you learned any in an ancient or forbidden language? Oh ... right, of course, you don't remember
Determined to help you start building your own repertoire. She'll bring you plenty of songbooks from the Palace library
She's also spent plenty of time on several ships, and is quite fond of ballads herself. She'll teach you everything she knows so you two can sing together!
She'll also learn new singing styles with you on ambassador trips, if she can make the time (which she will)
You are going to learn so many sea shanties
Portia might even try to compose a few ballads with you, about your shared story
Singing softly to her will help her relax so quickly after a stressful day. Just start humming and she'll breathe easier
Pepi is quite vocal herself. Sometimes she'll perch close by and give you a series of long, drawn-out meows for you to harmonize with
If you sing something Portia's already thinking of she'll bluescreen
Lucio
"That was good, but check this out! AHEM-"
Now then, we all know that beauty is in the eye (or ear) of the beholder. Lucio's voice may sound gorgeous to you
But to everyone else, he is canonically tone-deaf with an "overdone theatre voice". If you're in any building not belonging to you or a close friend he will mostly likely get kicked out if you let him sing
He likes your voice very much though, and will ask you to sing for him all the time. Especially on travel-heavy days
He learns the hard way not to ask you to sing while hiking, after the times you got dizzy and out of breath at high altitudes
Mercedes and Melchior will get uncharacteristically calm when you sing. Their tails will wag slowly and they'll trot along in a happy, peaceful state
Lucio's singing has the opposite effect. They will howl along as loudly as their doggy lungs let them, sprinting frantically around and crashing into everything in their paths
Lucio has wondered if the calming effect of your singing would work on magical beasts. He was surprised when it didn't
Sing the song he was thinking of and he's belting it out with you, no holds barred

how was small things like these ( plus what was a particularly resonating scene for you )
hey nonie! thank you so much for these questions! to put it simply: small things like these was incredible. cillian's acting is quiet, but at the same loud and powerful, and the story is an incredibly poignant one. there really was no man more correct to carry billy furlong's troubles than cillian murphy himself. i ended up watching small things two days after the us election, and in the movie theater there were two older women -- one probably in her late 60s, the other her early 70s -- along with my best friend and i. sometimes i think the setting in which you watch a movie can influence how you feel about the film, and i do believe that was the case for me. i really felt it at some parts, so much that i did cry one or two times. and, the more i've thought about it in the days since, the more i've come to like it.
the movie itself is so, so quiet. there's nothing outwardly loud about it: not the conversations, not the characters, not the town, not the violence or the oppression, not even the thinly-veiled threats made by sister mary. it is evident from the very first seconds of the movie that it is going to be quiet but intense, and it is. its a whisper in the shape of a film, and heavy in the way that all terrible, too long silences have a way of being. there were a couple of scenes that resonated with me in it (and i know you only asked for one, but that's so hard):
the scene where bill discovers the girl in the coal shed again, and sister mary brings him into her office, where they then bring in the girl and have her make up some implausible story about how she was in there because they were playing hide and seek and she was locked in by the other girls.
the scene at the bar, where the barmaid urges bill not to say anything about what they're doing with those girls at the convent, because 'they have a finger in every pie.'
namely, they resonated with me because i think a lot of people do this now, for the sake of sanity, for the sake of 'keeping the peace': they brush big things under the rug, unwilling to talk about them in fear of the mess they will make of their own lives, and of other's lives. in another stunning cillian film that i watched, called the wind that shakes the barley, one of the characters says something along the lines of: it is easy to know what you stand against, but quite another thing to know what you stand for. it is evident that this town, quiet as it is, feels the weight of what is being down to these girls. they don't all condone it happily. but they accept it, because it is easier and safer, and they want this man (bill), who has witnessed it first hand, to not make a fuss of it. he has girls that go to the school run by these nuns, and doesn't he want them to have a good future? a much better future than the girl who gets locked in the shed, because she made the foolish mistake to get knocked up?
the office scene was unbearable to me. what with the way sister mary was all but saying: keep yourself out of this, bill. think of your young daughters and their futures. and then sister mary offered the pregnant girl up to bill, still shivering and traumatized from what had just been inflicted upon her, and she made the girl tell bill this story that was so obviously concocted for her by the other nuns. the girl couldn't even deliver it with any real conviction, and the nuns thought that would be enough for bill, because it had been enough for decades, fr centuries, for eons. it still was enough for everyone else in the town who knew what was happening, but who couldn't afford to say anything about it. they offered up this poor girl to bill so he could sweep it all under the rug, so that if, many years down the road he was feeling guilty about not having done anything, he could remember that there was nothing to be done: because it was nothing. because it was a cruel game of hide and seek. because he didn't know. because his girls. because of the money sister mary hands him at the end for his wife, eileen. because eileen, who knows they are not one of the families who can afford to make a fuss about this, either, and has begged him not to. because, because, because. and you can see how he is struggling with the weight of that: how he is standing between saying nothing and helping. it is haunting, the way he sits there and watches that unfold, trapped.
when the bar scene came along, i was already successfully broken up in bits, but there was something about the choice of music in that scene that has stayed with me. the town in small things like these, and the people within the town, all seemed quaint to me. without the occasional '80's music or very obvious '80's outfit in the film, i do believe that you could successfully be convinced that the story being told is one set in times of old: the '40s, the '50s, the '60s. these are times in which you aren't unaccustomed to these horror stories happening. but in the scene where the barmaid pulls bill aside - before she shuts the door and the scene goes quiet - the song don't you want me by the human league plays. the extravagant, flashy sound of the 1980s is jarring at this point in the film. it so odd as to almost feel like an anachronism, and it brings the audience to the horrific realization that this isn't one of the decades in which we expect these horror stories to come from: it is 1985. in america, twelve years prior to this, women in america got national access to abortions with roe v. wade. in 1972, women in america got widespread access to birth control. in the 1930s, condoms became widely used and available to them. people in ireland weren't even allowed to buy condoms in ireland until 1985.
this scene resonated terribly with me, an american in 2024, because i sat there, as a 23 year old woman, recognizing i now lived in a time where roe v. wade had been overturned and my country had elected the man who allowed it to happen once again. earlier that day i had seen a post where a man had said 'your body, my choice' about women. when that woman asked bill not to say a thing he had seen, for the sake of his own daughters, i ached for them and i ached for me, and i ached for all the people who will look back on this time in history, horrified because it didn't happen in the distant past; because it was a thing of the present. because it is a thing of the present.
anyway, please, please watch the film and tell me what you think.
