I want to add on to this because I just want to get my actual perspective of Damian out there,,

People should take into account that Damian is not only an assassin but a prince. I do agree that if the measures called for it, yes, then he would bite but in basic fighting or sparring? No. He absolutely wouldn't. My depiction and view of Damian, as I've stated in the past, is very polished and germaphobic.

As Brucie Mun mentioned, screening for diseases afterward, if it were to happen, would be something Damian would think about all the time once he's living with Bruce. Damian wouldn't like all the germs that come with biting, aka the whole mysophobia thing that was mentioned.

I like to think that Damian would use biting as a last resort if no other resources or methods are available at the time.

Help sorry if this comes off rude or anything, but I just wanted to add on to this with my own agreements and understanding so that people get where I am coming from when I say that I believe Damian wouldn't bite.

I fully agree with the girls biting, though, because they absolutely would. Steph for SURE would (along with Babs & Cass ofc).

Personally, I like to see Damian witnessing Bruce, Dick, Jason, or any of the girls biting someone in a fight / spar and be grossed out completely. He'd have one of those faces where it's so obvious how grossed out he is, and you can tell he really wants to put a 10 foot pole between him and the other recipient until AFTER they get checked & cleaned.

Oh, Artyom likes having "fans". Knowing that someone is interested in him, and someone sees him as something more, tries to understand him, shows him sympathy, must stroke his ego. Although Daphne said somewhere that he was still kind of shocked by it, that he didn't understand it. Two things can be true at once.

Although I bet he'd have cringed at some stuff and tried his best to ignore it and focus on something else.

As for Nikita, it's hard to say. Back then, he wanted attention and recognition. I'm sure both of them had fun playing Among Us in real life. Law enforcement officials said that they kind of liked talking about their crimes, that someone listened to them, paid attention to everything they said. They got what they wanted: attention and being treated seriously. They posed a real threat, they felt powerful, they were capable of changing lives.

Later, I think, the shame and realization woke up. Half a year after their arrest, Nikita said that he no longer needed all this, and that he felt ashamed. In November 2012, he said, "I feel sick/bad when I think about what I have done."

In June or early July 2012, Nikita gave an interview to a newspaper: — Why is Anoufriev supported on social media, but you don't have any fans? Is he more ideological? — I don't really care about this idea at all.

What I'm trying to say is that Nikita only talked to his mom and gave interviews to a couple of newspapers and journalists because they asked him, not because he was particularly eager for it. In short, he wasn't looking for contact. Just like his whole life before that. So I think he didn't even know about his "fans", or he wasn't very interested. Who knows exactly why there's not a single letter from Nikita from prison. He had no one to write to but his family. And I'm not really sure if someone else knew his address to write to him. Besides, he was a very closed-off, anxious and depressed person, I doubt that he wanted to communicate with strangers. Who knows what they might have written to him? All kinds of threats and insults? He knew it himself.

I think he'd have distanced himself from it all and disappeared into the shadows. At the same time, I'm not denying the possibility that he would be interested if he found out about the "fans". Just a sizeable maybe. But I think that he, just like Artyom, would be extremely surprised, confused and wouldn't understand this. Maybe he wouldn't necessarily have thought anything about their "fans". Maybe he'd have thought it was weird. Perhaps he'd constantly wonder why people were interested in him, if there was any catch in it, if they were actully laughing at him? Maybe he wouldn't really care.

But he'd totally be weirded the fuck out because of some of you, especially if it had to do with his looks and something romantic/sexual in general.

Of course, he knew about TCC, but he suddenly found himself on the receiving end of that interest. And I think he'd have been very distant with his "fans". He was never a talker, and even less with a bunch of different people. Maybe, by some miracle, he'd have managed to make a couple of friends (hopefully better than those he had before, just someone nice and compassionate instead of someone interested in very dark stuff; however, Nikita was very deeply convinced that he was nothing good, and that he didn't deserve anything good; besides, all these positive and pacifistic things were alien to his mentally ill, disappointed in the world, people and himself brain; there's comfort in suffering and misery, if it's something you've been used to since an early age, because it's familiar, and getting better requires a desire to change, effort and energy, which depressed people have very little of). Anyway, who knows how it'd have affected him. Don't encourage mentally ill person's bad tendencies.

You’ve talked about the post credits scene a bit, but what are your thoughts on the elixir being called “The Heart of the Dragon?”

Ohhhhh ive seen people talking about this quite a bit lately, especially on other platforms it's so aughhhh

I will say first of all that that was so crazy of them. I'm gonna be completely honest, initially during the whole elixir-hunt ordeal I didn't even consider that it could be connected to Kiryu at all, so when they just casually dropped the fact that it was called The Heart of the Dragon it was like getting slapped in the face (/pos). It makes you immediately think of Kiryu, to make Sure that you get the full impact of the big reveal at the end of the game, which. OUCH. Well played RGG you really got me there (Yeah I know most people seeing this will probably be like "no shit lmao subtle foreshadowing" but I personally am still reeling over it okay so)

Also I think it's a little crazy how Majima doesn't fully regain his memories until after fighting the giant squid again (which is basically right before they discover the treasure). Of course who knows when he finally regained the memory of his purpose for going to Hawaii, but to have him finally remember everything, only to learn almost immediately after that they probably weren't going to find the Heart of the Dragon, the dream that he, too, has been chasing after from the very start like everyone else... damn.

And Then of course the big part that people have been pointing out: just the fucking name itself. That, because of the elixir's name, Majima has essentially been chasing after/pursuing "The Heart of the Dragon" this whole time WHICH. IM GONNA BE REAL I FEEL LIKE A FOOL FOR NOT THINKING ABOUT. LIKE, FUCK. I don't even have anything to add to that honestly that just speaks volumes on its own. rgg really just went "yeah, Majima's dream was to find the Dragon's Heart. Yeah, he was chasing after the Dragon's Heart this whole time." Like Okay. Okay,

Also, as far as I can tell/find, the part about it being essentially called "dragon's spittle [fragrance]" in Chinese is true (please correct me if I'm wrong with that), but to have it be named specifically the "Heart of the Dragon" (both in eng and jp) by the treasure hunters in-game was a choice made by rgg Themselves. Which could mean Nothing, of course. But. You Know

Also the fact that Majima ultimately failed in obtaining the Heart of the Dragon.... And by the end of the game has to come to terms with the reality that it was likely never gonna be obtainable in the first place.... something something double meanings Again

I like how Jason's reputation amongst the gods kind of cements his character as a dutiful leader. I know most ppl don't like the fact that he's all goody goody, but it really fits his arc well, and i like reading about it. it's one of the things about Jason that Rick didn't fumble. He was consistent with his character being dutiful and noble till the very end and makes it a point to show that through others perception.

Zeus- Okay he's a horrible dad, but he did initially respect his son (before jason opposed him in front of the gods, that kinda warped his ego) even going as far as to saying that he was proud to have him as a son and stuff. Which was a pretty ooc thing for Zeus to do especially to his sons. Too bad it only lasted for a few seconds before he went back to being bitchy.

Hera- Jason changed her perception of demigods, we know Hera hated all demigods bc half of them are sired by her husband, she wanted to use jason as a pawn to Gaia's defeat. But all those times she treated jason as her champion, she ended up actually caring about him and considered him a son. She mourned and cried about Jason MONTHS after he died, even going as far as to yell at her husband for not caring or grieving about the child that HE sired.

Apollo- self explanatory, Jason stood up for Apollo from the very beginning, and ended up dying for his sake, even when didn't have to do that. Jason made Apollo understand to have empathy for humans ("Remember what it's like to be human") and made Apollo stop being so full of himself with his selfless sacrifice. So apollo is the Olympian who has the most amount of respect for Jason. And made sure that Jason's sacrifice would not be in vain.

Artemis- if you go to the official Riordan wiki fanpage for Artemis, it's mentioned that Percy and Jason were two of the only male demigods that she had immense respect for. She mentally thanked Jason for standing up to Zeus for Apollo. Of course, being Thalia's brother could also give jason browny points aswell lol.

Athena- She seemed to respect Jason's wisdom in blood of Olympus, when he told his dad that it was unwise to punish apollo for Gaia's waking. Well know Athena respects anyone who has shown wisdom. She shot Jason a very approving look. So it's nice that Athena, who is very critical and picky, observed that Jason is a well thought out and insightful individual.

Aphrodite- kind of self explanatory too, she called jason a lovely boy in piper's dream, even alluding that jason needed absolutely no physical improvement in his looks aswell. I know this has nothing to do with Jason's dutifulness but Aphrodite can sense a person's heart and nature, and she immediately thought jason was perfect for her daughter even before they started dating. We know how picky Aphrodite is when it comes to who people date lol

Bacchus/Dionysus- We know that Bacchus had somewhat remembered Jason (calling him John green and all lol) because jason had done services for him (something about a leopard, iforgot lol). And annabeth pointed out that it was a good thing that jason and Bacchus were on fairly good terms. So there's that.

How do you imagine Nikita as a boyfriend? (Even if you doubt he would have a girlfriend, dang if he just knew how many girls like him now😭)

I need to add "headcanon tcc" to all my other achievements, lol.

I feel like it'd be like with his friendships, but with more awkwardness, at least at first. He'd never have taken the initiative, everything would have to be done by another person. I don't think he'd have even genuinely hoped for anything, he considered himself crap and worthless. And it'd feel a little strange for him that someone is really kind to him and wants to spend time with him (and possibly in a ROMANTIC way!), and doesn't mock him or use him. He'd be equally happy and anxious. Perhaps he'd have lost sleep over it, thinking about everything, it could be summed up as "Maybe..! No..." In short, the other person would have to take the initiative in communicating with him, at least at the very beginning, make him feel comfortable, support and listen to him. He needed someone with whom he could just be his quiet self, and another person would take lead, and it'd give HIM confidence, and he'd also start doing something.

🤍× In the established relationship, well, I think he'd still feel awkward and nervous, it'd take time for him to stop worrying about possibly being boring and not good enough. I mean, he wouldn't be all 🥺😔🙁, he'd just feel insecure from time to time, just some self-doubt in the back of his head, especially if he felt bad mentally. 🤍× He'd probably feel kinda ashamed of himself being good-for-nothing, not conventionally attractive or rich, for being an apathetic wreck that struggles with basic things such as hygiene. 🤍× Maybe he'd feel the pressure of responsibility. Because it's so serious now! He'd feel like the other person expects him to do something, like in typical TV series and movies, and it'd stress him out. He'd constantly need to be reassured, to have some (non-verbal) confirmation that the person was having fun with him and didn't feel some kinda envy when looking at other couples. 🤍× From time to time, he'd internally struggle with "I don't want to be a loser, I'm a MAN, I have to be a leader in this relationship." Another thing to be insecure about. 🤍× But apart from that, he'd constantly try to come up with something interesting to do. But he didn't really like ACTUALLY doing things and leaving the house, he probably wouldn't be a big fan of typical dates and all that jazz, he was broke anyway (but I think it'd be possible to drag him somewhere, but he'd feel awkward and nervous at first, and he'd kinda hate it because it'd be new to him, but then he'd start having fun in the process and think, "Well, I guess it wasn't that bad"). He'd rather be at home or at another person's place, or just taking a walk with them. Sometimes he'd prefer to be alone, but he'd miss the person pretty quickly. He'd HATE to be physically far away and for a long period of time (and that long period would be, like... a week or less), like, he'd be VERY upset. Would feel SUPER frustrated if one of them had some stuff to do and they wouldn't be able see each other. For example, some kinda trip. 🤍× He could get upset/frustrated/mad because of something, but he wouldn't talk about it and say what it was. He probably would have said that everything was fine, but you could tell by his frown that something was wrong. You'd have to torture him to get him to tell you. 🤍× There's a possibility of him hiding behind the "Oh, I'm so tuff" persona and 100 layers of irony, sarcasm and trolling (and then lowkey forgetting who the hell he actually is) when he doesn't feel like opening up and being vulnerable. 🤍× Overall, he'd be inexperienced in right about everything and make mistakes because of it, but he wouldn't actually wanna mess it all up. He'd be pretty reliable and trustworthy. And easy to control. Don't use that against him. </3 🤍× He'd feel scared of getting hurt.

Adding to the post credits scene a bit. The way Majima kept staring up at the hospital (presumably the floor Kiryu is on) made everything just that much more painful.

And I know this is a reach but I got serious flashbacks to Majima's one-sided attraction to Makoto. It happened again, he fell hard and I don't think he can let go this time. Can they please stop tearing into his feelings like that my god.

OUGH I DIDN'T EVEN THINK OF THAT Of course I guess we can't know for sure, but god. God, Imagine the possibility. *holds head in hands*

Also now that I think about it, you're right, when you put them side-by-side, the shots of Majima walking away from the camera in pirate yakuza is a bit reminiscent of the shot of him in yakuza 0.... Oughh imagine the parallels though, Majima walking away from the viewer and away from Makoto in yakuza 0 (and yk2) with the intent/hope that they never speak to each other or see each other again, vs Majima walking away from viewer but towards Kiryu (y8 gaiden) to spend whatever time he's able to afford left with him.

Obviously there's a lot of factors surrounding why Majima decided to keep Makoto specifically at a distance post-y0, but I think what's killing me with this parallel in particular is the idea that Majima, by the time we get to post-pirate yakuza, doesn't really have anywhere left to run/can't afford to walk away like that with Kiryu in this game.

Like, it's not like with Makoto where he can keep their relationship suspended indefinitely until they forget about each other (or rather Makoto forgets about Majima), it's not like yakuza like. Five-to-infinite wealth where Kiryu was keeping everyone at arm's length, which prevented Majima from really reaching him in general (Majima's own avoidance at being anything but roundabout with Kiryu aside), or all the previous games where Majima could just get away with not voicing his feelings towards Kiryu directly. They're on a very directly stated time limit now (in all fairness rgg has left a window of possibility of Kiryu surviving, but typically you'd probably assume the worst), and now they're in a situation where Kiryu can't push people out anymore, and Majima can't keep this distance going for much longer because he's already spent years and years dancing around this and now he's officially running out of time and he Knows it (basically there's no room left for the possibility of them reaching a point where they can just 'forget about each other and move on', that he was hoping to achieve with Makoto (not that he'd want that atp with Kiryu probably but you get what I mean)). There's nowhere for them to run anymore, so this time when Majima walks away from the viewer, he's actually going to fact the object of his interest, rather than run away from it.

I LOVE EVERY BIT OF THIS SO MUCH YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND I CANNOT ARTICULATE EVERYTHING I LOVE ABOUT THIS The tidepool section actually had my cheeks hurting from how wide I was smiling. My heart went all warm and melty at every word. It got me so good, you're so good at invoking emotion it gets to me EVERY SINGLE TIMEEEEEEE The way Oscar indulges her little questions and quirks just as he would with any other person is actually so special to me :') The way she hesitates to go ahead to Oscar but then as soon as she does she warms up to him and asks him for uppies and my gooooddddd the way I nearly squealed at it :D Emma quietly admitting that she enjoyed hanging out with Osc is everything to me And the way Lando and Oscar keep sneaking in their affection for each other in between everything is SO SWEET!! And it shows even in his care for Emma, offering to take her into his arms to spare both Lando's back, but also because he's growing to care for Emma too, and the very sight of it is everything Lando needs to have HIS heart melt. Same Lando, same, my heart is absolutely melting too aslgkjsdlgkdsj She gets cranky towards bedtime which is totally valid but how easily Lando consoles her and helps her is genuinely such a lovely thing to see. It's not all happy but it's so, so much better than Lando expected and still so so reasonable it warms your heart. Oscar's face pinches in worry but Lando is just. Such a Good Dad. It's so sweet. EMMA SAYING GOOD NIGHT TO OSCAR HAD ME SMILING EAR TO EAR I NEED YOU TO KNOW Bunny from Lando, Sharkie from Oscar. She sleeps with both of them close to her. still Chapter 12!

tidepool section my beloved 🫶 a fun fact about little gull is that i looked up a map of the actual aquarium in london and wrote the chapter based off that. also this is the chapter i was stuck on for approximately two months (paused mid-12 while writing nutcracker fic i believe?) and so i just had a cheeky map of the london aquarium open on my browser for weeks at a time LMAO. i also learned so much about which sharks can be kept in captivity. none of that info made the fic, i just had a fun little side quest and wanted to share.

listen... can you really trust someone who says sharks are FRIENDS to PROTECT you from the sharks??? emma is so valid for wanting to stay with daddy. she has that self-preservation instinct. but also if the choice is being alone with the shark or holding onto oscar, there's an obvious leader in the clubhouse there. in all seriousness, emma asking to be held by oscar is like. so extremely sickeningly sweet. if i was lando i'd be engaged by the time emma's feet were on the floor again. also the term 'uppies' is moving me to tears.

okay for some reason the scene with just lando and emma in the sealife tunnel is like... one of my favorite complete moments in the fic (along with emma waking up after the first date in 6 and oscar napping on lando's lap in 11 and an undisclosed moment in 14) "'You can,' he tucks her hair back behind her ear, 'you don’t have to go to sleep yet, I was just asking.'" and "'in your lap?'" UGHHH. i think it's because the whole chapter has been kind of low-level tense (even while it's sweet) bc everybody's feeling each other out and trying not to fuck up. so the minute it's back down to just lando and emma, who are so so familiar and comfortable with each other, it feels so soft. like yeah, lando really likes oscar, and yeah, emma is having fun, but at the end of the day it's always gonna be the two of them. lando has a moment to relax and emma's sleepy against him and there's fish and dappled blue light and quiet and in my mind it's such a peaceful little moment for them. so then "daddy? hang-out surprise with oscar is so fun" is extra gut-punchy. bc both of them are letting their minds wander and that's what emma's settles on. without him even asking. god. so so reassuring for lando, who's so worried that he's forcing emma to like oscar. i am literally obsessed with this moment.

She gets cranky towards bedtime which is totally valid but how easily Lando consoles her and helps her is genuinely such a lovely thing to see

okay so i'm realizing through answering this that a lot of this chapter is important to me bc it feels like a tableau of what lando's life is actually like. it's like how you see yourself differently when you know you're being observed? like lando feels so extra aware of all the things he naturally does (wiping emma's hands and face, making her walk when she wants to be carried, putting her to bed when she's cranky) because he knows it's the first time oscar's watching him be Dad. and so now I'M imagining oscar watching lando do all these things so naturally and it's like... competency kink is a bad way to put it in this specific circumstance, but like. oscar heart-eye-ing because lando is so good at being emma's daddy. like he clearly loves her so much, which oscar knew, but it's another thing to see it firsthand.

as much as little gull is LANDO watching OSCAR interact with emma for the first time, it's also OSCAR watching LANDO with emma for the first time as well.

anyway, that was not SUPER related to cranky bedtime emma, but everything i've written before about the inclusion of her bad/grumpy/sad moods in this fic is also true of this scene. plus truly lando was aware that cranky bedtime emma was a risk that he was incurring by taking her out with someone new at night in public that long, because she's three. and she's worn out. and he's soft to her because she's his baby, and he loves her.

a fun fact is that oscar meeting emma is loosely inspired by me (also not naturally very comfy with kids) interacting with my siblings' children who i rarely see. and this goodnight scene is something they did with me while i was with them last summer. so. yeah it's actually just as sweet in real life.

i feel as if i have rambled quite a lot already about things that i like about this chapter and things you did not directly ask about so i'll leave it there lmao. but yeah! little gull is a good one.
