Today I felt like sharing this with the English-speaking community here in Tumblr, I made this months ago, and I don't really know why I didn't post it before. There's this Uruguayan musical group called Cuarteto de Nos, that is very well known among people my age here in Latin America. Their songs are amazing, and I wanted to translate them to English. The first one I did was “Insaciable” (Insatiable) from their album Porfiado. I made it into a sort of Hamilton edit because the song is heavily Hamilton-coded. You'll see what I'm talking about.

The translation and video edition were made all by me, the art in the background is from a collab between Caw-Chan and Ziksua, this Alexander is in Caw-Chan's style.

Ah~ the endless debate about what the true meaning of this song is. Some say it's a love song, others say it's about denial. The good thing about ambiguous meaning is that you can play with the words as you wish, and for me, this song is lit me.

3.- Desechable | Mon Laferte.

The lyrics of this song reflect an internal struggle. When I first discovered my arromanticism, it was hard for me to accept it. I wanted so badly to experience falling in love and being loved differently, I wanted to be and have that special person in my life. If I can't be special to someone else, then I will always be one of the crowd.

The story is simple, a man thinks he's in love, but realizes he's just horny. I especially love the spring metaphor; I like how it tries to hide the horniness under a layer of romanticism and fake poetry.

6.- Paramar | Los Prisioneros.

The lyrics suggest that to love requires a series of sacrifices that distort the essence of the person. There is nothing more arromantic than feeling uncomfortable in a relationship, that you are not really being yourself, you are only forcing to act as society says you should.

This song is a critique of the hypersexualization of society and the use of sex to get the attention of the masses. It also talks about the pressure to be sexually active and how sex is needed in order to be an “adult”. Pretty ace to me.

8.- Estar solo | Los Prisioneros.

Can you tell I love Los Prisioneros? They are one of the most important Latin rock bands for a reason.

I remember being 17 years old, going to school and seeing my friends with their boyfriends, coming home and watching my parents kissing, turning on the TV and find a romantic movie. In those days, when I was not in my best mood, all I could do was lock myself in my room and listen to this song with swollen eyes. This song represents the ultimate expression of my internalized aphobia. Although I have now accepted my identity and sexuality, this remains one of the songs I have identified with the most in my life.

my personal Rhythm Heaven headcanons

•at the moment i started typing this i had no electricity (12/4/2023 15:29) but ok lol

-DJ Yellow is very good at practically all subjects at school, except for math. he sleeps most of the year, so he has to intensify his grades in 2 weeks before the school year ends, and math is a pain. so while he studies, he asks Blue for help with "Whatever an ecuation is..." (still learning stuff from high school because he never intensified his math grades that much)

-J.J and Cecil live together in an apartment in Tokyo, while DJ Yellow and Blue live together in another apartment somewhere 40 minutes away from Tokyo. this makes both DJs wake up earlier to catch the train to get to school, which is a hard task for Yellow. this man either goes to sleep at 6am or doesn't sleeps at all. how do you want him to be at the train station at 6:10am to catch the train, travel for 40 minutes, get to Tokyo at 6:50am and walk to school to get there at 7:15am? think again mister, that's not a possible action on this dude. better wait until the update comes. /lh

-DJ Yellow dresses up with whatever he wants. this includes skirts, dresses, all kinds of feminine clothes. because why not? it's his gender expression, let him be, brother. don't be surprised if he shows up at a convention dressed up as Rui Kamishiro and in day 2 he is cosplaying Hatsune Miku NT. while he's happy then it's okay, isn't it?

-important headcanon: the school everyone in Rhythm Heaven +my RH ocs go to is an all-in-one school. from primary school to college, university, everything. so yeah, they're technically adults, young adults, that even if they have a job they go to school to learn basics such as math, history, etc, BUT with rhythm. there's an interesting story about this school that is located in, SURPRISE, Tokyo (not really. all fictional), but today is not the day or time to talk about it (my 4g data is limited and so is my battery- plz electricity come back quick)

-everyone speaks japanese and english, buuuuuut: Yellow speaks spanish (Spanish, Mexican, Colombian, neutral, Chilenian and Argentine accent), he's learning French and is interested in Hawaiian. Blue speaks Indonesian more fluently than Japanese or English, since he was born and raised his first 7 years of life in Indonesia. J.J speaks Italian, which is his 'original' language (?). and Cecil knows a bit of French and Hawaiian. super convenient for Yellow, but he's not talking with "one of those guys". yeaaaah the Rockers vs DJs conflict has been going on for a while now

3-. Moctezuma by Porter: OMJ, this is a fucking master piece, like, it's about my country, it has indigenous musical influence (yes!!) and talks about a historical topic such as the Spanish Conquest. And with its ending, always so nostalgic, it reminds me of my history classes when I was a child.

4-. Cosmophonic by Robersonic: okay. This dude is underrated. This album doesn't have a single phrase in any of its songs and yet it shines on its own.

5-. Everyday Life by Coldplay: such. a. perfect. album.

6-. X & Y by Coldplay: yeah, more Coldplay. I think it is one of the band's best albums that they themselves hate it so much ;(.

7-. Viva la Vida or Death and All of His Friends by Coldplay: I must say that I'm Mexican and this album is fucking inspired in British history from the 1700s-1800s, and I understand it perfectly because, in my childhood, I watched a (British) program called Horrible Histories and... I've always been a fan of history, so I loved that detail in the album and in the entire atmosphere/aesthetics of the era!

8-. Lover by Taylor Swift: I'm not a fan of Taylor or I particularly enjoy hers music. But a friend of mine (and my boyfriend!) recommended (forced) me to listen to this album, and I quite enjoyed it.

9-. Lámina Once by El Cuarteto de Nos: it's a short but really fantastic album, with a mix of genres and styles that has always marked the Cuarteto.

What's Up by 4 Non Blondes i was singing the He-Man meme version of the song one day and then i stopped to pay attention to the lyrics and i thought "oh shit i'm going through this exact same thing right now what the fuck?" so this is the song i'm listening to lately to go through the very difficult days at work

Holy by King Princess i needed to chose a name for one of my fishes and this song was playing and i really liked the melody then i got really addicted to in and listened to it non-stop for four days straight

Baby sung by Gal Costa i love this song so much and i love every single version i've listened to so far, but to me this one is THE ABSOLUTE BEST because the strings and Gal's voice is angelical. and again, old recordings have a specific texture and this one i feel like im in a huge theater as the only person in public listening to them perform. in general is feels very dream like, an absolute fave. and i'm cheating a little bit because i'm always listening to this song not just lately, lmao, but it deserves to be mentioned

okay, so for the part in red, i really can't tell what he's saying. i tried relistening to it a bunch of times, but all i can ever hear is "es muy elegador." sounds reasonable, except that elegador isn't a word in spanish, and even in portuguese, it means "elector." the closest spanish words i could find were "aligador" or "elevador," but that would mean Alec was saying "it's very alligator," or "it's very elevator," which obviously don't make sense. I suspect it's something along the lines of a compliment, though, but take that with a grain of salt.

i'd punish him for the crimes of not enunciating enough (i was really struggling with "agradezco"/"i thank you" as well until that finally clicked), but since he saved me a lot of work by actually saying the title of the song in the greeting this time, i'll let it slide. sounds like a nice song!

My name is SindiNero, but I also go by Tortillasconsal. You people can call me Sindi or Tortilla.

I'm a 20 y/o Mexican, I am a nonbinary aromantic lesbian and I use they/them pronouns!

English isn't my first language despite being the main language of this account, so I apologize for any mistakes I make.

Currently I am very invested in creepypasta since I'm coming back to the fandom after like 5-6 years I think(? I'm writing my own AU but I doubt it'll be something big, right now I'm just making headcanons and some world building maybe. I also focus a lot on the Slenderbros bc they are very gender.

I do have a couple of crp OCs (and more outside the fandom), but I rather share them later on when I'm more comfortable with my audience.

My ask-box is always open if anyone wants to chat or ask for stuff, but if you want to DM me please ask there first. I get really confused with random messages from people I don't know.

Also, I talk a lot. So prepare to have a bunch of ridiculously long posts filled with excessive context and nonsense descriptions in random order because I can't talk normally.

I do both writing and art requests. You are free to ask for anything, but here is some stuff to follow:

You can ask for anything as long as it's appropriate and creepypasta related, asking for my original stuff outside of the crp fandom is ok too.

The style I do with art requests may vary depending on my time, the request and how much I'm familiarized with the character, but I usually try to do a simple doodle for time's sake.

I will do gory art, but don't expect much. I'm just not that experienced in that.

If you give me a list of characters to draw/write about I'll only pick one or two. Except if you're asking for the characters doing stuff together obviously.

The only OCs I'll draw and write for will be my friends'. If you come here asking for headcanons or art of your OC and idk you, I'll ignore you.

I take a shit ton of time on doing the requests, so please be patient with me, I'm lazy 😩
