genuinely cannot stop thinking about how fucking metal it is that, in a world obsessed with telling people "it'll get better" as a platitude, with no intention of actually putting in the work necessary to make things better, fall out boy came in here and dropped an album with a message that amounts to "it may never get better, but it doesn't have to get better for it to be worth it." an album that says "sometimes pain is part of life, and you don't have to get rid of the pain to love the things you love." an album that says "the bad moments will not make the good moments mean less." an album that says "you will ache for the times that you were numb and felt nothing, and you will wonder if it would be better to be numb again than to feel pain, but i promise you, the living makes the pain bearable."

Getting back into art with some sloppy sketches which was helped when I started listening to Legends of Avantris, mostly Stardust Rhapsody, for Chuckles as I saw him in some youtube shorts. I've gotten a huge clown craving as of late and he more than easily has done his part in filling that hole inside my heart. :0)

Watched The Old Guard again and obviously I am still so in love with Joe's poetic streak but consider : him turning it towards other people than Nicky (platonically... Or not if you ship them poly). Telling Booker that his smile is like the sun after the rain, telling Andy that her eyes are galaxies that humans have not yet discovered, telling Quynh that her laugh is like the bells you hear after you win a war, telling Nile that her voice is like resting quietly when you're tired of the world. Joe being sappy with his family!!

been going down a rabbit hole of golden age fics and this is my take on the nightlight design tee hee (I love him with all my heart and soul)

also it’s my personal head canon that nightlight was a past life of Jack’s and can access his star boy powers in life/death situations?? Idk but wouldn’t that make a cool future scene where jack can access past PAST lives’ memories and just see his cool space protector self like
