About you
Pairing: Spencer Reid x ex!reader Summary: You know a place that you go to remember Spencer Reid's face. You never thought you'd get to actually see him again. WC: 4.6k Warnings: brief mentions of Spencer's trauma (childhood, addiction); hints at poor coping mechanisms/mental struggles; miscommunication; running away. A/N: This is a mix between canon events and some things are fiction (mostly when it comes to the timeline of the show) and I picture later seasons Spencer. This is based on many songs from ttpd, but this fic came to mind when I was listening to 'About You' by the 1975. I really hope you guys like it. Feedbacks are always welcome and appreciated <3 masterlist
You sat on one of the park benches. Actually, it was on the park bench, near a tree, you used to occupy with Spencer after getting your favorite treats from the coffee shop nearby.
It was your first date as boyfriend and girlfriend and he had started reading to you once the chatter had died down a little bit. He looked beautiful that day, eyes leaving the book pages every now and then so he could catch a glimpse of you. Every time he did, you smiled at him. You were so enamored by his eyes that you didn't care if you were perceived as desperate or too lovestruck when he looked at you. You felt warm inside and for a moment, you thought it could last forever.
From that day on, whenever you could, you'd always go to that park and sit on that specific bench. You even carved your initials in it.
Now, as you caressed the old indentation, dark from all the time that had passed, you were all alone. A hole in your chest.
You were living in Virginia, about to get your Master's Degree. It was the time of the semester when everything seems to be piling up and you can never get the time to take care of it as you should. As you walked home at night, you witnessed a young couple walking into a dark forest, but you didn't mind — horny kids were everywhere and you were glad they had a nice way to let off some steam, not being one to judge someone’s kinks.
The next thing you knew, the FBI wanted to see you. They sent a cute, awfully young agent to your apartment, who introduced himself as 'Doctor Spencer Reid' and waved at you once you answered the door, telling you you had been the last person to witness that young woman alive. You froze, unable to look away from him, sheer shock crossing your intriguing, mesmerizing features. Spencer Reid took more than a minute to try to calm you down to have you answer his questions. Despite your head going miles per minute, you tried to help out as much as you could and were able to describe the man as you managed to recall some of his features.
Then, you had gotten Spencer's number to keep him posted if anything happened, since that unsub was kidnapping and torturing girls from your university. When they wrapped up the case to go home, Spencer went to your building to tell you they were returning to Quantico. You had grown fond of him, his presence a warm embrace compared to the chaos around you, so when he broke the news, you did feel a little disappointed, even though you knew that he would eventually leave. He was sensitive to the matters around him, doing everything in his power and using his intelligence to help everyone around him. It made you grow a sense of hope in other people you haven’t felt in a while.
You took your study break a little earlier that night once you saw him at your doorstep, deciding you'd give him your time. A low "So, you're leaving..." escaping your mouth once he told you why he went to your place. To say goodbye. You couldn't conceal the sadness in your voice.
"Yeah. I just wanted to say goodbye. And to thank you, of course, you helped us a lot." He said, eyes never leaving yours.
"Anytime, Doctor," you joked. "I'm gonna miss you. Even if we've just met. Even if you had to be aware of something so terrible." You confessed. His eyes widened at you in surprise.
His eyes. Big, doe eyes glancing at you like you held the answers to the whole universe.
In that moment, you did. Not his education, not PhD's, plural, not anything he learned from all the books he read and certainly not his time in the bureau. You held the answers.
He chuckled, a little shy. Unable to tell you, verbally, that he would miss you, too. His eyes did the job, though. "Yeah, yeah. It was nice knowing you."
"Yeah, it was," you agreed, coming a little closer to him. You gave him a kiss on his cheek. Soft, warm skin against your lips making butterflies swarm in your belly. He smiled, widely, sincerely.
You wished he was yours.
You also wished he knew that you meant that, 'besides the bad guy and all the terrible things, it was fun meeting you because you are full of light. A masterpiece.'
"Take care, okay, doctor?" You whispered, slowly pulling away from him. “I’ll see you around.”
"Be safe,” he wished, “I hope so, in better conditions."
A few days passed and you got your first call from Spencer, which turned into a second, a third and when you noticed, you were scheduling hang outs. Those turned into dates when you started to go out more frequently to every new place you wanted the other to know. All of that and touching each other more often, more carefully, more passionately than regular friends did.
You simply sat there, your memories the only thing keeping you company, haunting you, besides the tears that pricked in the corner of your eyes. You missed him so much. You missed the time you had with him.
Two years into your relationship, things got more and more complicated. You struggled to keep up with his life and more often than not you seemed to keep much to yourselves instead of sharing things with each other. You never thought you'd share (funny wording) such a distant relationship with someone, let alone one you knew for sure there was so much love and respect. During your time together, you learned about Spencer’s past and some pieces fell into place; he was somehow explained by everything he had faced as a child, teenager and now as an adult — his mother’s condition, his dad walking away, the bullying, being abducted and its consequences. You held him through it all, when the memories and feelings of powerlessness washed over him.
Then, Spencer started to be away more often and the physical distance, enforced by the emotional one that slowly grew between you two, made you feel like you were an intruder in his life. So, you gradually started to hold yourself back from starting conversations. You rarely had his attention and you figured it was because his mind was always elsewhere.
Yours was, too. Back in a time when things were simpler.
As time went by, being around him, too quiet and far out of each other’s reach, simply floating in his orbit, felt like a heavy burden you had to carry in order to keep him in your life. He never opened up and since you didn’t either, you felt like you didn't have the right to suggest you two should fix things, so you let him be. Coexisting together in the same space, oceans apart from each other’s lives and struggles, never touching the subject. The result, of course, was that you grew apart.
It all ended, officially, when you decided to move away to get your Doctorate as an excuse to run away from the hard conversations that you knew would take place if you confronted him about where had things, where had you gone so terribly wrong. You were hell-bent on trying to turn your heartbreak and deception into something, into an achievement. Then, you both decided, albeit reluctantly, that breaking up was the best choice for you, since you’d move away. The part that there was already a huge gap between the two of you remained unspoken. You tried convincing yourself that it would be easier, since you’d never have to see him and you'd be okay being in past chapters of Spencer’s life.
Funnily enough, it wasn't that simple.
You see, the heart is a tricky machine. The wording here is not random: it works, of course, to primarily pump the blood through your veins to make sure you are getting enough oxygen around your body and deliver waste objects, like carbon dioxide, back to the lungs, to be removed — Spencer had told you so once when you told him your heart beat for him in a corny deliver of a joke. Despite the fact that he was right, you can never anticipate how the heart will react once it has no access to the aim of its affections, after being cut off from their life. Worse: after being slowly dragged away from the one it was sure it would be able to adore for the rest of its pumping-function life. You figured that, maybe it would continue working for as long as it needs to, but not with the same devotion it once knew and now was deprived of.
That was how you passed the last few years of your life.
After Spencer, you weren't really interested in anyone. You tried to put yourself out there, made new friends, tried dating some people, traveled abroad, discovered more about yourself. Nevertheless, in the back of your hopeless mind and dejected heart, you held the memories you had created with him close to your very soul. When things got too quiet, it was him that you thought of. On a train, on the way home or to somewhere new and/or special, in the lazy mornings you spent by yourself, in the nights that got too lonely to bear by yourself, during your lunch breaks that you always seemed to remember how much he loved sharing those with you — stealing food from his plate, even if you didn't like whatever he was having, just so he could steal your dessert to make sharing equal. He got a sweet tooth after dating you.
Now, though, something felt off. You had spent years of your life pining and longing and hoping that you'd find your way back to each other in the end that now you didn't have the guts to search for him. You kept an eye on his life and could remember a thing or two of all his achievements and papers that were published in science magazines, a brief abstract ready to roll off your tongue if someone asked you about it. You tried keeping up with his professional life in order to feel closer to him, but the thing was, you didn't know if he had someone else, if he had moved on more easily than you (not that you had), if he had learned to cope a little better with the hardships of his job. You always said he needed some rest for his noisy mind.
Even the air in your hometown made you think of him. Felt like him: distant, missed and still plaguing your thoughts. It was the aftermath of running away for some time.
In hindsight, perhaps you had only shared fleeting moments with Spencer and it was a frail affair, doomed from day one, knowing how different your lifestyles were. When you got too fed up with your longing and inner romanticism over this relationship, you would try to convince yourself that you were better off without him. That being alone was better than to be by yourself in a relationship that you only kept for the sake of calling him yours.
Still, there was something missing. You didn't know what it was, but you were tired of wasting your time, waiting for a bus that never showed.
From afar, Spencer watched, dumbfounded, a figure that resembled someone he once loved so much, sitting on the bench he used to share with you. He still does love. Or maybe he doesn't. He doesn't know, really. He's been through so much, losing loved ones, losing his mother and enduring several trauma after leaving the FBI, never having the time to properly take in the happenings in his life. Could it possibly be you? He could never forget your form, no matter how many years passed and how hard he had tried to do that. His heart started slowing, oxygen lacking in his lungs. He felt dizzy. Was it a mirage?
Or maybe it did, and perhaps you had missed it.
Memories started to flood his mind and he was unable to move.
Daylight faded, announcing the beginning of the evening. Spencer listened as you read to him one of your favorite novels, The Hour of the Star, a Brazilian novel by Clarice Lispector. It definitely wasn't romantic, but you always made sure to use the correct tone whenever you were reading the characters' lines, and you paused every now and then to make comments and listened when he had one of his own. Those were precious, rare, quiet moments in his hectic life. He cherished them because of that, of course, but most importantly because you were with him.
Once you finished the chapter you were reciting, you noticed how dark it already was and that the lights of the city were already on, casting a soft glow over Spencer. He looked exceptionally, effortlessly beautiful that night. You smiled at him. "Shall we go home, Spence?"
"Yes," he accepted, helping you up. You thanked him with a kiss to his cheek, which made him flustered.
Years together and he could never get used to the effect your touch had on him, always wishing he could have more, more, more.
As you walked home together, he took your ring, a gift from him that was usually placed in your left hand, and put it on the one people put wedding rings on. Your reply was to kiss him senseless in public.
He felt like the wind had been knocked out of him when you abruptly broke the kiss, looking back with a mischievous, happy expression on your face. He trailed after you, one single thought in mind: I'll never let you go.
The woman — he didn't want to deceive himself if she wasn't you, he was staring at her back, after all, so he thought it was better to be careful with his hopes —, had longer hair, fit better into her clothes, but her movements were scarily just like yours. From the way she looked around to the slight tilt of her head when you'd contemplate the park all those years ago. Spencer felt his thoughts clouding with the need to approach her, curiosity driving him to work on this instinct, but as soon as he moved to walk, he instantly halted his movements. What would he say?
"Hello?", "Is that you?" "Are you back?" "Are you real?" "Have you forgotten about me?"
The questions swimmed around his head like he had no control over his own mind. If there was a monitor to show every single thought running through his brain, it would definitely collapse, smoke clouding the air, telling how overwhelmed he felt. He decided on approaching as a passerby, walking as if he didn't want anything by it, acting nonchalant. He made his way closer to the bench, to the woman.
She heard footsteps behind her, not too close, but still turned to search for the source of the disturbance, out of her daydreaming. You looked at each other for a moment that felt like an eternity — time stopped, the children stopped playing and the passersby stopped breathing.
As you turned around, your eyes found Spencer. The love of your life. You took in his appearance. His hair was long, unlike how it had been when you last saw him, and he didn't care about styling it as much as he did when he was younger, his curls unruly and a little messy, a little stubble growing on his face. His expression looked harder now, more tired, ripe. You couldn't quite know how to describe him properly. For a moment, you considered that he had hardened over the years, opposite from the caring, soft man you've met and loved ardently once.
On a surface level, looking at him made you feel like you've been loving a ghost. A memory, something that could never return.
Your mind suddenly felt empty. You opened your mouth to speak, but nothing came out.
"You?" You heard the question, uncertain, leave his lips in a low voice. Was it in your head or did you sense hurt?
Again, you wanted to speak, to say something, greet him, tell him you've missed him, ask him if he was okay. Nothing came out. Everything seemed inappropriate. Again, he beat you to it, coming closer to you, voice firmer. "What are you... I thought you'd left."
"I did."
"I know."
Silence. He got closer, moving to sit beside you.
"Yeah." Silence. Still looking at each other. "I came back a couple of months ago. Started visiting exactly three weeks ago, today." You revealed to break the silence, even though the idea that everything that came out of your mouth was improper still plagued your mind.
Spencer felt baffled. You looked different, more mature, even your style had drastically changed — you once wore colorful, baggier outfits, full of life and bright shades matching your personality (you even went shopping with Penelope and you exchanged fashion tips), but now, you wore more sober, neutral tones. Instead of the usual sneakers, or the Converse you both loved to wear together to match your outfits — his black and yours blue —, you wore black boots with heels. You looked grown. And it fit you. Still, your face was the same: your eyes held the same glimmer in them from all those years ago, your lips still as inviting as it ever was for him.
He licked his own, realizing his mouth was dry. "I come here every now and then when things get too heated." He confided, eyes never leaving your figure.
You smiled. A hole in his chest, desolation invading his being. The simple act still makes his machine of a heart ache and speed to reach its full capacity. Of breaking for you. "It's peaceful."
You knew that he seeked solace from whatever was happening in your memories together in that place. At least, you hoped so. You hoped, selfishly, that he thought of you as much as you thought of him, of his ghost. That he ached for you as much as you ached for him.
"Yeah."
Awkward silence engulfed the two of you. You didn't know where to look, but you could never stop scanning his face, taking in his features with care. "I like your hair. It fits you," you said.
He got closer, less than an arm's length between the two of you. Almost itching for you to touch his hair, eyes pleading for some mercy on your end. You've been awfully quiet and if meeting him maim you, you certainly have improved your poker face skills. "You've changed," he retorted. "I never thought I'd see you so different from, you know..."
You didn’t remember Spencer at a loss of words.
Too close. "I hope for the better."
"Why didn't you call?" He asked, brows furrowing.
Come to think of it, it was an excuse you had rehearsed quite a few times when you imagined this scenario, “I was settling, still trying to contact everyone, still finding my way around…”
“And you didn’t think of me?” His tone was wounded. He certainly dreamed you’d come back and was positively sure that you’d reach out to him. Of course, he was wrong.
He didn’t know what to say. Of course he would pick up, but there was no way you could know about it nor trust him if he said so; why would you? You had left him because he built walls around him, cutting you off from his life, torturing you, slowly dragging the end of your relationship and he couldn’t explain why. Once you left, Spencer delved into his work life like never before. He flirted with women and even slept around, which he was aware was a poor coping mechanism, all to outrun the desertion of you, desperately wishing he could forget that he could feel alive in your presence. He even tried having a relationship. It was nice having someone around, now that he was grown and had made peace with some of his demons, but it was never like you and it was all that she was to him: someone around. He never felt that spark with her like he had felt with you, never again having a taste of the sensation that ran through him whenever he stumbled excitedly into your apartment when you invited him over, seizing the rare opportunities to be with you, happiness bubbling inside him. With his new girlfriend, it was quiet. He mistook it for the calmness he lacked within himself when he was with you, but it was just bland. Needless to say, he felt awful about straight up using a person to keep his mind off of you, but it was nice while it worked. He started longing for something he couldn’t even describe what it was.
“Of course I did. I just thought you wouldn't pick up,” you replied.
One day, you guys met halfway, between the two cities you were both in. It was raining and you launched yourself into his arms once you recognized him. You had kissed him like a soldier's wife, for you sure definitely missed him like one — he had been away on a case which took longer than usual. “Hi,” you greeted, shyly, after giving him the hottest kiss of his life.
“Hi,” he smiled, a little flushed.
“I couldn't wait to get to you, Spence,” you confessed, arms pulling him back to hug you once again, his own engulfing your figure. “I missed you so much.”
“I missed you too. I miss you all the time.” He said, burying his face into the crook of your neck, wet hair prickling on his skin. He peeled himself away from you, taking a deep breath. “Do you want to be my girlfriend?”
The squealed “Yes!” before you kissed him ardently once more was forever ingrained into his mind.
Amidst his reverie, you stood up from your seat. The wind tousled your hair slightly, so you used your left hand to tuck it behind your ear. The street lights reflected their light on a ring you had on your left hand. He recognized it instantly. “I should go,” you murmured, slightly graceless.
“You still have it.”
You looked at him, still sitting and nodded softly. You were hit with the realization that he also remembered you. It didn’t matter that it was such a small thing about you, relief flooded your veins at the very thought that he thought of you. “I do.”
You waved at him, your lips turned upwards shyly. You turned your back and started walking away from him. Again, he thought. And again, he let you, without putting up a fight, which he was aware that he should have done. The elephant in his chest was a light weight compared to the heavy truth dancing around in his throat. Said truth would become much bigger, a heavier burden for him to carry, once it made its way out of him. Speaking made it real. He knew it because every memory that he kept of you, in a sacred, untouched area of his own consciousness, was full of comfort after sharing uncomfortable truths.
It was like his heart screamed at him to keep searching, to keep trying for the person who made it beat faster. But his brain, foggy with all the logic and terrible, horrid things he had to face, decided it was best to keep himself away from you, to save himself the trouble of being the target of pity, or worse, being another person who left him.
From that day on, you’d casually visit the park, secretly wishing you could see him more. It didn't take too long until your wishes were granted, no matter how private you thought they were. Perhaps they were all over your face and he could still read you so easily. Despite the apparent capacity of reading your wants, you were positively sure that Spencer didn't know what to say, just like you. Everything, including him, felt as distant as you had left it. You weren't sure if you could go back, but running away was just as troublesome: you had to adapt in order to survive, but everyone else surrounding you was already fit to the environment. You stuck out like a sore thumb, unable to connect with anyone but the protagonist from past memories of what once was a happy relationship.
Every time you were there, you sensed someone looking at you shortly after your arrival. It was like an unspoken agreement between the two of you, to try to talk things through without rushing into anything, trying to conquer the other's forgiveness by sharing both ordinary and big moments you had during your time apart. As you sat down and talked and shared, you realized that you'd never stop loving him, not even for a second, not even if you could. You had tried and failed, and kept coming back for more to fall in love with the same person over and over.
These encounters quickly turned into the best moments of Spencer's weeks, getting to be filled in on the things he had missed in your life. You had shown him photos, your new degree, new friends, discussed details about your job and how things were in your family. All of that wrapped in intricate, subtle details on how much you'd turned into a person he was already feeling proud of. You had grown into a strong-willed woman who managed to keep your heart as pure as the day you had met him. You still had the traits that made you fall in love with him.
One day, you two were sitting on the bench and you pointed to your initials on it. “Heh, I remember that day. You kept worrying someone was going to show up and stop me from doing it.”
He smiled. “I'm glad no one did.”
“It's funny, isn't it?” You asked, eyes on the indentation, not expecting him to answer due the lack of context. He frowned. “I mean, us. Acting like we don't know each other just for the sake of spending time together.”
He thought for a moment. With your shameless comment, you were definitely daring him to say something. Daring him to make things real, but better this time. “I like that idea,” he said, getting you to look at him. “Don't you? We get to meet each other again. I get to meet you again and I get to make sure that, this time, I'll never let you go.”
“You still don't know me enough to say that with such sureness,” you said, feeling bashful all of a sudden. It was also one of your behaviors that got him so enthralled, once again. Your capacity of saying something and then act coyly, as if you didn't know what he was talking about. Almost backtracking on whatever you had said that was a little more risky than the usual chatter.
He wouldn't let you.
“I want to.”
His tone made you speechless. Your expression turned into one of sheer, pure enchantment. It told him everything he needed to know.
Everything bad was now under the bridge and you could finally have each other back after being so patient.
He now remembered what it was that he missed so dearly in his life.
You.

The Night Shift.
Johnnie Guilbert x Fem!Reader.
chapter 16.
i woke up the next morning with the pain in my head finally hitting me. I groaned quietly. my back was pressed into johnnie as his arms were wrapped around me. I looked back to see if he was asleep, and he was, but the pain was unbearable. as much as I'd love to stay in bed with him, I couldn't. I slipped out of his arms and ran to the bathroom. I scrounged through the cabinets to find some sort of pain medication. I found ibprofien and quickly took it, desperate for the throbbing in my head to end.
"God damn drug addict." jakes raspy morning voice commented from behind me, making me jump.
"Holy fuck, it's ibprofien." I retorted, placing my hand over my racing heart.
"mhm." he replied sassily before wondering off somewhere else.
it was quiet in their house, almost too quiet. even though I enjoyed it, the silence nearly hurt my ears. I leaned into the mirror, spreading apart my hair so the stitches were visible. they were dark and ugly, making me cringe to see myself like this. I groaned quietly, rubbing my temples as I made my way back to Johnnie's room.
Johnnie was still tangled in the blanket we shared. His arm was rested over his forehead while the other was over his stomach, and his legs spread apart. I smiled softly and crawled back in next to him, not bothering pulling the covers over myself as I went on my phone. I clicked on Johnnie's Instagram and began to scroll through his posts. The majority of them were covers of songs that I knew and loved, which shocked me. I clicked on one and turned up the volume slightly.
"Now, turn away." he sang softly, "if you could get me a drink of water cause my lips are chapped and faded."
he looked off into the distance, his hair covering his eyes ominously. my heart fluttered, hearing his voice. I glanced towards him to make sure he was still sleeping and kept listening.
"Call my aunt Marie, help her gather all my things, and bury me in all my favorite colors. my sisters and my brothers, still." he went an octive down, "I will not kiss you. cause the hardest part of this is leaving you."
he emphasized his words, making his tone sound desperate and needy. It was a gut-wrenching cover of Cancer by My Chemical Romance. he continued to play the guitar, taking a break from singing before starting again.
"now, turn away. cause in awful just to see, cause all my hairs abandoned all my body, all my agony." he sang deeper once more, "know that I will never marry, baby, I'm just soggy from the chemo. were cou-" the recording cut off at that, making me put down my phone. I glanced towards johnnie, assuming he was still sleeping, yet I ended up making eye contact with him.
"shit," I jumped. "Morning."
"Hi." he smirked. "What was that?"
"Uh, your video just- popped up on my feed." I stuttered, trying to mask the clear embarrassment.
"So? did you like the cover?" he joked, propping his head up in his hand. I glanced over him, looking at his shirtless torso before making eye contact with him once more.
"Yeah, it was good." I said nonchalantly. I shrugged and sat up. I looked around his room before my eye landed on his guitar. "You should play something for me."
he smiled, seemingly excited that I want him to play for me. "what song?"
I pondered for a moment. "I can't really think of a song I specifically want you to play. Just play the first thing that comes to mind." i stretched and laid back down as he walked over to his acoustic guitar.
he messed with a couple chords before he began to play, strumming the strings as he skillfully moved his fingers across the fret board. he began to sing softly, "with your feet on the air and your head on the ground,"
my heart ached as his voice making my stomach turn. he had a sincere look on his face as he stared down at his strumming hand. i shut my eyes for a moment, listening to him sing.
"try this trick and spin it," his angelic voice rang throughout the room. "your head will collapse if there's nothing in it and you'll ask yourself, 'where is my mind?'" he looked up, making eye contact with me as he finished up the section of the song. "where is my mind?"
i smiled softly, asking him to play more. he agreed and played two more songs for me. he made me feel so special as i was getting my own personal concert. he looked up at me after finishing his last song, moving his guitar off of his lap. silence filled the room as he waited for me to speak up. "you genuinely have one of the best voices i've ver heard." i cringed at myself, the word vomit was embarrassing.
a grin grew on his face as well as a light pink blush. "thank you. uh, what are your plans for today?" he stuttered, scratching his neck.
"i was just going to rest and help you and Jake around the house. my head still really hurts." i set my hands in my lap.
"you don't need to worry about helping around the house." he shook his head.
"well, i'm staying with you for who knows how long. i'm not just going to sit back while you two do all the house work. it's not fair." i explain.
"i mean, if you really want to. i'm just saying me and jake got it." he shrugged. "when are you planning to go back to work?"
"i can't really take time off. you know i work alone, nobody else is on that shift usually. i have to call one of the weekend people to fill in. speaking of, i should probably do that now." i picked up my phone and began typing.
"it doesn't really seem healthy to be the only one working night shift, that's a lot on you. you should find someone to work with you." he said, concerned.
"i guess i could." i shrug him off. i paused to think! "thank you for everything, johnnie."
he furrowed his eyebrows. "what are you thanking me for?"
"helping me with all of this, and making my nights a lot less boring."
he grinned, "don't thank me for that. it's all good." he sat on the bed next to me, our knees grazing eachother. "do you want to watch a movie or something?"
i quickly nodded, "yeah, that sounds good. gives me a chance to rest my head a little more." his eyes fill with worry as he looks at the stitches. "don't look, they look disgusting." i complain, looking away as i cover my head.
johnnie moved my hand down, "you're fine, they look fine. don't worry, y/n."
i nodded, my heart racing as we made eye contact. he kept his hand rested on mine, glancing between my lips and my eyes. i melted under his touch, giving into my strong feelings. his hand cupped my cheek as he began to lean in.
"Johnnie! y/n!!" jake called, knocking before opening the door. johnnies lips were nearly touching mine as we both pulled away, startled by jake. he jangled the keys in his hand, "let's go get your car."
i nodded, "o-okay." i stood up quickly and slipped on my shoes, tension rising between me and johnnie as we made our way out to the car.

I'm addicted to you
Warren Rojas x Fem!Reader
✧.* requested by anon — So my idea was maybe with Warren or even Billy (if you want to write for him of course), the reader is super shy (maybe she's friends with Daisy, who dragged her along one day you know) and Warren/Billy just took an interest in her and flirts to make her blush, but at first she thinks he's joking or just being nice because "no one actually likes the shy girl". Hope you like it, sorry if it's too specific 😅
✧.* summary — From the first time you met The Six's drummer he was always around you praising you, and picking up on you. And one day you put your shyness aside and return it in kind.
✧.* warnings — none
✧.* word count — 3.7k
✧.* 🥁 — Warren's masterlist
✧.* mandy's notes — I apologize for the delay in answering your asks, college has been making me crazy lately, but I promise that soon everything will be back to normal, also this isn't revised so there might be some mistakes. Hope you like it 🫶🏾
"Come on Y/N we need your help." Daisy repeats it for the fourth time that morning. "I mean, I can write good songs but you're going to add something to the mix, you know? I already talked to Teddy, he loved the idea."
"Of course he loved it, he loves any opportunity to bring me to the label." You laugh, stirring the food in the pot. "I would love to help you Daisy, but you know I prefer the backstage."
"I promise you it's just going to be the people in the band, no one else." She lifts her pinky for you to intertwine yours. "Come on Y/N, please."
You let out a sigh, squeezing your eyes shut tightly, sure you'd regret it. "Alright, when do we start?"
Your passion for music was no secret to anyone, you always loved portraying your emotions, your feelings, frustrations through music and that's what you've been doing since you were 14 years old, obviously you didn't start professionally at first, it was just you your guitar a paper and a pen in the afternoons after class for a long time before you get the courage to show anyone your lyrics. You knew Daisy from school, and it was to her that you first presented your songs, after that your passion for the musical world brought you two together.
Daisy had the courage that you would never have, and you admired her so much for it, the fact that you were backstage writing the songs, without the public attention, without the fame was never something that bothered you, in fact it was something you preferred. There was something about attention that activated the most intense peak of your anxiety.
Whenever you found yourself in the spotlight, your heart would start to race, pounding in your chest like a wild animal trying to break free. Your palms would become slick with sweat, and your fingers would twitch nervously as if trying to escape the situation. Your breaths would come in short, shallow gasps, as if your lungs were struggling to get enough air. Your stomach would churn with nausea, and you would feel the muscles in your abdomen tighten into knots. You could feel your whole body trembling with tension, every nerve ending on high alert as if waiting for the next attack.
So yeah, you were much better off stage.
Daisy had great difficulty understanding this position of yours, and when she joined The Six she was sure that what they needed was your help to improve those lyrics. She knew that with you, they were going to make the best album in the whole world. She had spent a few weeks preparing the territory, Daisy knew if she wanted you to agree she had to go slowly implanting the ideas in your head little by little until in the end, you agreed.
You didn't have the courage to open your eyes as you felt the wind hit your face, you knew that if you noticed the paths Daisy's car took you would feel butterflies in your stomach. As you approached the label, Daisy glanced at you from time to time, smiling as she found your reaction amusing.
"You're gonna be fine Y/N" You feel the car stop, opening your eyes slowly you notice they had stopped at a light, relieved you let out a sight. "They're nice people, I swear to you… well, except for Billy but don't worry I'll handle him."
"I knew I was going to regret this Daisy." Your voice was weak. "I work much better at home, I might as well work on my parts and hand them to you later."
Daisy looks at you with arched eyebrows. "Without listening to the instruments?"
You shrug, trying to convince yourself you could handle it. Daisy just laughs, and you roll your eyes. "What?"
"Are you serious?" The redhead questions. "You urgently need more social activities."
…
As you stepped out of Daisy's car, your heart began to race. You tried to take deep breaths to calm yourself down, but your anxiety only seemed to intensify with each passing second. You followed Daisy into the label building, feeling like a fish out of water among all the bright lights and bustling activity.
Daisy leads you to the studio they used to record, Teddy says hello from across the sound booth, you wave back at him then turn back to the band members watching you curiously. Immediately you regret it and take your eyes to the ground trying little by little to hide behind Daisy.
"Well, well, well," he said, sauntering over to you. "Who's this pretty little thing that Daisy's brought us?"
You felt your face heat up as you tried to hide behind Daisy, who just rolled her eyes at Warren's flirting.
"This is Y/N," she said, introducing you. "She's a songwriter, and she's been helping me out with the album."
Warren's eyes lit up with interest. "A songwriter, huh? Well, we could always use more talent around here."
He extended his hand towards you, and you hesitated for a moment before shaking it tentatively. His touch sent a shiver down your spine, and you could feel your cheeks turning pink.
"Nice to meet you, Y/N," he said, still holding onto your hand. "I'm Warren."
You pulled your hand back, suddenly feeling self-conscious. "Uh, yeah, nice to meet you too."
…
Warren's flirty mood had become a pattern, he loved the way your cheeks flushed in his presence, or how you widen your eyes at every flirtation he gave you, and he thought it was adorable the way you never knew how to handle his compliments, so he always made an effort to come up with something new.
You never knew what to expect, he always took you by surprise at the most unexpected moments, and you just loved that attention coming from him.
The band was sitting on the studio floor, you were further away from the group, in the corner of the room with your notebook, your pen and some crumpled sheets of paper around you. You hummed the tune Graham had created, trying to match your ideas to it, your pen hanging from your lips as you picked it up every now and then to make some adjustments.
Warren tapped some cans while watching you from afar. He loved how you seemed to shut out the world around you when you started writing, how you smiled when you got the lyrics right. He even thought it was really cute when you hated something and dropped your notebook on the floor to take a break.
He smiles at the idea that is born in his mind, he opens his notebook on a random sheet of paper writing something and then making a paper airplane with it. He takes aim in your direction, tongue sticking out as if that will help him concentrate more, and when he feels ready he throws it towards you.
You are snapped out of your concentration by the piece of paper that hits your eye. "Ouch." you exclaim, closing your eyes and rubbing them.
"Shit!" Warren exclaims, moving closer to you. "I'm sorry cariño."
"What was that for?" You struggle to get used to the light in the room again.
"It was supposed to be something cute, now it seems like I wanted to make you blind." He says running his hands through his curls. "Is it rude of me to ask you to read it?"
You can't contain your laughter, he laughs along with you and you shake your head. "I can try."
You undo the paper plane, a little nervous to have the man's gaze centered on you, his handwriting wasn't difficult to understand but with your eye "damaged" by the little accident it took you a while. It read "You must be tired, right?"
You arch your eyebrows in question, looking at him blankly. Rojas had a smirk on his face and soon you knew something curious was coming, he had a smile on his face waiting for you to question him why. So you do so.
"Why?" You ask quietly, he smiles wider.
"Because you've been running through my mind all day long mi amor." He finishes the sentence almost in a whisper, the Spanish nickname sends a chill down your spine that almost immediately brings the blush to your cheeks. "You know something mamita, you're so fucking pretty when you're shy."
He winks at you before standing up, leaving you with a flushed face, a racing heart, and a goofy smile on your face.
…
The smell of fresh coffee invaded their noses, that morning contained a fresh climate and yet the sun was shining brightly in the Los Angeles sky. It's been a few hours since they've been locked in the label's studio trying to improve the pre-chorus of "Aurora". Daisy, Billy and you had been working on this song for the past few days but knew there was something missing right there. Daisy once again stated that she didn't know how to work with empty stomach, so together with The Six they went to the nearest bakery for a more elaborate breakfast.
"You know what? I think it turned out cool that way." Graham states, pointing to the chord Eddie had just written in his notebook. "Maybe you could add longer notes, so as not to overshadow Warren's solo and still show the bass..."
"Great idea dude." Eddie says writing it down, taking a bite of his toast next.
Warren looked uneasy, he had noticed since leaving the studio that you hadn't accompanied them, which left him a little disappointed, as he liked to spend as much time as possible by your side, he eats his order quickly while tapping his feet nonstop, after drinking his juice he turns to Daisy, lighting a cigarette.
"Hey Daisy." He calls for her, catching her attention. "Do you know why she didn't come?"
Daisy smiles, she arches an eyebrow enjoying seeing the drummer's interest in her friend. "It's like you don't know her, any chance to spend some time alone she accepts."
"Yeah yeah of course." He really wanted to go back there, spend more time with you, he was afraid that now that the album was almost finished he wouldn't see you anymore. "Now that I remember! I forgot my drumsticks in the studio." he exclaims, capturing the attention of everyone at the table.
"So what?" Eddie asks. "You're not going to play right now anyways, chill out." He chuckles.
"Actually I just had an inspiration, I need to go get them." Rojas stands up, adjusting the vest on his torso.
Without giving a chance to be contradicted, he leaves through the front door, leaving his friends without understanding much. Daisy smiles at the ridiculous excuse the drummer had come up with to go find you, eager to find out what it would lead to.
The record company wasn't far away, Warren only had to walk a few blocks to reach his destination. He brought you a croissant and coffee, figuring you might be hungry since you didn't join them, he enters the record label excited, wanting to see you as soon as possible but as soon as he hears something different he stops in front of the door of the studio where you record.
He doesn't move listening to the sound of a beautiful, calm, light and yet powerful voice echoing from the room, he doesn't take long to recognize Aurora's melody and without being able to contain his curiosity, open the door slowly. Coming across you sitting on the floor, some sheets spread out next to you and your notebook, pencil dangling from your ear and a guitar in your lap.
He can't contain his smile when he sees you sing, with each passing day he is more and more enchanted by you and your talent always surprises him in a good way. As soon as you finish he makes his presence known by knocking on the door, you take your gaze up to him and he holds up the bag he brought you.
"How long have you been there, uh?" You question without looking him in the eye.
"Long enough to need to ask you something." You definitely didn't expect that answer, so you just wait for him to finish. "Did it hurt when you fell from the sky? Because you have an angelic voice mi amor."
You roll your eyes smiling weakly, Rojas approaches you sitting beside you admiring your flushed face. You muster up the courage to face him, something he didn't expect and as soon as your eyes met his he felt like he was floating, or dreaming even.
"Can I ask you something Warren?" You say softly, directing your speech just for him.
Rojas arches his eyebrows curiously, he rests his head in the palm of his hand watching you closely.
"Sure, go ahead," he says, smiling warmly.
You think twice before saying something, you take a deep breath and say, "Are you a magician? Because whenever I look at you, everyone else disappears."
The drummer had a surprised and yet admiring expression, he licks his lips smiling wide then, the way his eyes get tiny when he smiles makes your heart warm. But as soon as you realized what you said your gaze dropped to your hands, you felt embarrassed by what you said, it seemed ridiculous that you wanted to flirt with a man like him.
"Hey." He says bringing his hand to your chin, lifting your face to look at him. "I never knew you had it in you," he says, still chuckling. "That was actually really cute."
"It was ridiculous." You state, nervous to look him straight in the eye.
"Nothing that comes from you can be ridiculous, mamita." He stops smiling, staring into your eyes as if he's admiring the most beautiful view in the world, and maybe he is. "You're so gorgeous."
…
You were lying on the couch in your apartment, Daisy was sitting on the floor in front of you with the guitar in her lap composing. You bit the pencil and every now and then tapped it against the notebook you have in your hands, you were trying to finish the lyrics to "Regret Me", a song that Daisy had started a few days ago.
"Y/N! Are you here?" The redhead exclaims, snapping her fingers in front of your face.
"Uh? Oh yeah sorry, where were we?" You sit on the couch, your thoughts still in the air.
"What do you have?” Daisy asks, a faint smile on her face. “Want to talk about it?”
"Does Warren usually do that whole pick-up line thing with everyone?" You ask, Daisy's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"What pick-up line thing?" Daisy says, not understanding what you were talking about.
"It's just... It just seems ridiculous now that I'm going to tell someone." You let out a laugh, and Daisy still looks lost on the subject. "It's just that lately he's always been hitting on me, or complimenting me whenever he can…"
Daisy looked surprised, she arched her eyebrows and a smile spread across her face. You shake your head, feeling ridiculous for thinking maybe he was actually interested in you.
"Nevermind, it's ridiculous." You say, trying to focus on your notebook but the heat on your cheek wouldn't let you.
"Wait wait, so you're telling me that Warren is flirting with you?" Daisy had a look on your face that couldn't quite name, so you just nod. "Oh my God, I knew it!"
"Excuse me?" You ask, lost in her words. "What do you mean?" Your heart was pounding on your chest.
"I mean, it's obvious that he likes you," Daisy says with a smirk, strumming a few chords on her guitar. "Every time you're around, he's practically glowing."
You let out a small laugh, feeling relieved yet nervous. "I don't know, I mean, he's my coworker and I don't want to make things awkward between us."
Daisy puts down the guitar and turns to you, placing a reassuring hand on your knee. "Trust me, I've seen this before. Sometimes you just have to take a chance on someone and see where it goes."
You look at Daisy, feeling grateful for her support. "What do you suggest I do?"
Daisy thinks for a moment before a mischievous grin spreads across her face. "I suggest you give him a taste of his own medicine. Flirt back a little, see how he reacts."
You raise an eyebrow, feeling a little hesitant. "I don't know if I'm good at that."
Daisy gives you a playful nudge. "Come on, it's all in good fun. And who knows, you might actually enjoy it."
You nod, feeling a little more confident. "Okay, I'll give it a try."
Daisy claps her hands, looking pleased with herself. "That's what I like to hear! Now, let's get back to these lyrics."
As you both return to working on the song, you can't help but feel a little excited about the possibility of something more with Warren.
…
Warren was sitting on the other side of the room, you walked in and he took his gaze to you immediately watching you with a smile on his face. You take a deep breath, remembering Daisy's words, you let out without thinking.
You walk up to him. "Hey there, handsome," you say with a playful smile.
Warren looks up at you, surprised by your sudden flirtation. He stammers for a moment before finally responding, "Uh, hey. What's up hermosa?"
As soon as you see the blush rising on Warren's cheeks, you can't help but feel a sense of pride and excitement. It's as if you've just won a game that you've been practicing for ages. You smile to yourself, feeling like you've finally accomplished something that you've been wanting to do for a long time.
"Nothing much, just wanted to come over and say hi," you say, trying to keep up the playful tone. "But I have to admit, I'm enjoying making you a little shy."
Warren lets out a chuckle, shaking his head. "I'm not used to this, you know. Usually, it's me doing the flirting," he says, still looking a little flustered.
"Well, maybe it's time for a change," you say, feeling encouraged by his reaction. "Who knows, maybe I'll be the one making you blush all day long."
Warren looks at you with a mix of surprise and amusement, but you can tell that he's enjoying the attention. You spend the rest of the day playfully flirting with him, and every time he blushes or stammers, you feel a sense of satisfaction and pride.
You couldn't believe how good it felt to flirt with Warren. All day long, you kept up your teasing and pick-up lines, enjoying the way he blushed and stumbled over his words. Each time he seemed caught off guard, your confidence grew, and you felt a newfound boldness you hadn't known before.
In the break room, you caught him staring at you as you filled up your coffee cup.
"You know, I'm pretty sure this coffee isn't the only thing that's hot around here." you said with a grin.
Warren choked on his own sip of coffee, coughing as he tried to regain his composure. You couldn't help but giggle at the effect you had on him.
Later you find him at the drums playing around with some ideas he had, realizing it was just the two of you. You see another opportunity and approach him, he watches you and already smiles, imagining what could come.
"You know pretty boy, I kinda have a thing for drummers in rock bands." You lean lightly on the drums, winking at him.
"Do you?" He says, his low voice reaching your ears like honey. "Well this drummer right here really is into you, actually…"
"Is that so?" You try to maintain your posture, but it's impossible to deny that every time he smiles your legs give way.
Warren comes out from behind the drums, approaching you, his proximity makes you feel butterflies in your stomach, he doesn't take his eyes off yours and you could spend hours looking into those eyes. When you can already feel his breathing is when he stops, his hands rest on your waist and your breathing becomes increasingly uneven.
"I mean it cariño, I really like you." He whispers, and you feel your heart give up. "I don't think I've ever met someone as unique as you and holy shit I love it. I'm addicted to you, everything that you do, every detail of your face I just can't get enough of your presence… Damn you make me want to get up early to come work in this studio, don't get me wrong, I love my job... My point is, you make everything better."
You didn't expect his words, an involuntary smile takes over your face and you take your hands to his curls, he smiles at the touch caressing your waist pulling you closer to him. He licks his lips bringing his eyes to your lips.
"Can I kiss you?" He asks, you nod and he does so.
As Warren's lips meet yours, you feel a jolt of electricity surge through your body. His kiss is gentle and passionate, and it feels like he's been waiting to do this for a long time. You respond to him with equal fervor, your hands slipping up into his hair and your body pressing against his. The kiss is sweet and tender, yet full of longing and desire. You can feel your heart racing in your chest as the kiss deepens, and you wrap your arms around Warren, not wanting this moment to end. As you finally break the kiss, you look up into his eyes and see the same passion and affection that you feel reflected back at you.
"I'm addicted to you too." You manage to say, still mesmerized by his eyes.
He places several kisses on your lips, and you smile at his act. "Let me take you out? Promise you, no more cheesy pick up lines."
"I would accept this invitation even if you spend the whole time hitting on me." You say and he smiles, wasting no time closing the space between you.

Hi I was wondering if your still doing requests could you do a platonic angel dust x fem reader with some fluff and angst in it
Good evening my dear! I didn't know if you wanted anything specific so I did headcanons I hope you don't mind but if you wanted a oneshot then just send in another request and I can write somethin'
Angel dust friendship headcanons
Warnings: Valentino is mentioned, drugs, addiction etc etc, MILD SPOILERS FOR BOJACK HORSEMAN, reader is low-key drug dealer coded [That is not a sentence I thought I'd ever say]
I'm leaning heavily towards best friend headcanons because those are fun! I imagine you, Cherri and Angel, trouble trio, partners in crime, etc etc
I imagine the two of you met because while he sold his soul and works for Valentino you work for Velvette, whether you still have your soul or not is up to you.
Getting the angst out of the way right off the bat, pre-hotel
Y'all are hellbent on destroying yourselves for different reasons, You wanting to forget that there are people you left behind when you died, people you will never, ever see again and it destroys you bit by bit and maybe if you destroy yourself enough you can forget them, and Angel, well Valentino is all I have to say.
The two of you go on week long benders, if y'all have seen Bojack horseman I'm imagining it's like when Bojack and Sarah Lynn went on that bender but less horrible, like you have cocaine in your walls.
Angel dust has a horrible, horrible day because of Valentino? You're right there with alcohol and whatever else you or Cherri got your hands on.
After hearing about Angel dust joining the hotel you decided to join right after, you didn't have anything better to do and redemption while being a pipedream by a delusional princess, didn't sound too bad!
The two of you give Vaggie a headache, Angel dust with the sex jokes and you making a bunch of drug related jokes or trying to sell drugs out of the hotel.
You gave Husk catnip one time [WITH CONSENT]
You and Angel dust have movie nights watching trashy romcoms, soap operas, etc etc
I can definitely see Angel dust watching soap operas and making fun of them OR getting concerningly invested.
Y'all have matching best friend outfits, like y'all will sometimes match in similar outfits or do opposite aesthetics.
Makeup days! Either y'all end up doing the most ridiculous looks on each other [like clowns, animal paintings etc etc] or y'all do proper make-up looks on each other that slay.
I can see you tormenting the hotel with this song in particular [note ITS BEEN THREE YEARS SINCE THIS SONG CAME OUT??? I REMEMBER I WAS THERE WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT WTH also I shouldn't have been watching gameplays of onlycans at 15ish?? LMAO]
Angel dust approves, he has it as his ringtone for you.
BEST FRIEND BONDING DAYS
Y'all go out to eat, commit some vandalism with Cherri, buy clothes etc etc
WING MAN WING MAN YOU ARE HIS WINGMAN WOMAN WHATEVER.
I imagine after you get healthier and get sober you head into more healthy coping mechanisms, like I mentioned you work for Velvette, try your hand at more then just whatever you do with her, draw designs, make your own clothing etc etc
If you make your own clothing Angel Dust is your go-to model.
Good evening folks! I need to take a nap! As always thank you for tuning in!

Alright Hazbin Fandom. Let's talk about AI.
AI is always a grey area, especially with how new it is and how slow protections are to being instated.
I initially listened to "[character] sings [song]" type AI covers because to me it felt like auditory fanfiction, and it being character-specific and not person-specific gave it a level of distance. But fanfiction has specific legal protections where AI as of now does not. For example, you can't make money off of someone else's IP. There aren't solidly such protections for AI.
I never listened to covers involving Loona because I knew Erika Lindbeck has expressed not liking her voice used for AI. I stopped listening altogether because Amir Talai expressed he did not like the AI covers with his likeness and the majority was Alastor, so I stopped out of respect for him.
My mind also initially compared it to Vocaloids and other synth voices, but the difference is those voices were recorded for the purpose of writing and covering music. The actors knew what they were signing up for and were compensated.
There has been a major issue in the Hazbin fandom of not just AI covers, but using AI to speak as characters and making money off of it, with the express DISAPPROVAL of the voices they're stealing. And this is NOT OKAY. That is so many levels of theft and disrespect it's astonishing.
Look, you aren't evil if you've ever enjoyed an AI cover. I know a lot of us have seen and enjoyed the AI cover of "Your Stupid Face". But you should be aware, from here on out, that as long as you are using AI for this purpose, especially if you're posting it, even more if you are making money off of it, that is both not okay and could also get you sued.
I'm not joking.
Stop supporting the use of AI voices, at least until there are proper protections in place. Do not make and share them. Do not listen to them. Report them if you can.
And if you REALLY love the "[character] sings [song]" type covers, support people who actually sing as the characters!!! Fan songs and fan covers are usually much better quality anyways, and you're supporting actual artists!
I'll even give you some to start you off.
Silva Hound writes music for Hellaverse projects now, but they also did fansongs (and Addict) between the pilot and series. "Radio Play" is a personal favorite of mine I listened to on repeat, but other bangers include "Royal Flush" (with Mick Lauer, Husk's OG VA), Redemption Arc (with Elsie Lovelock, Charlie's OG VA), and Vox's Interlude.
PARANOiD DJ is THE guy for this stuff. He made a bunch of old fan songs and a couple of covers himself, and has also made songs WITH cast members, Krystal LaPorte, Edward Bosco, and Michael Kovach. I'm sure you've heard "Smile Like You Mean It" and "Use Me Up" and the Angel & Vox version of "Valentino". That's this guy. And there's so much more. Seriously, check this guy out.
MilkkyMelodies isn't usually my taste, but she's pretty prolific atm and she's done quite a few fansongs, some of which are other character rewrites of songs from the show, like Stayed Gone for Lute and Lilith, Hell's Greatest Mom for Lilith and Rosie, Poison for Emily, Respectless for Vaggie and Lute, there's a lot. She's one to give a try at the very least.
Caleb Hyles does mostly rock/metal versions of songs, but he's also made some fansongs and fancovers. He wrote "Wash it Clean", a Lucifer song, he's covered Karma (that Jojo Siwa song that has no right to be as funky as it is) as Angel Dust, and he and a few others did a Hazbin version of "Hell's Coming With Me", that big Poor Man's Poison song that was everywhere, yknow "I am the righteous hand of God and I am the Devil that you forgot" that one.
McGwire has a few fan songs, though I admittedly have only listened to one, but that one is a fucking BANGER and it's "Welcome to Hell", a Husk song. It's SO GOOD.
And there's probably more but this post is already long.
But THESE are the people you should be supporting, not people stealing other people's voices.
And hey, if none of this gets through? Have you seen The Little Mermaid? Remember, no matter how fab she was, Ursula was the villain. And even she had the owner of the voice she stole sign a contract. None of yall have contracts with these actors and no right to their voices.
Feel free to reblog with any other fan artists you may know so we can get them more traction and support than people who don't know what boundaries are.

Ch. 77 // Happy Birthday // Day 52 ½
Contents (Warnings): Happy Birthday, Wicks! (Slight fluff, slight angst, character and monster info as always). Read full chapter on - A03
Wordcount: 3,200 + (Short chapter for the wrap!)
Song I correlate to this Chapter: Light - Sleeping At Last
Side note: This will contain experimental writing; first person (Lynette's view) will be implemented alongside third person for the two other essential characters, (mostly) Alexander and (occasionally) Drake. All their text will be italicized for those third-person moments, with the characters' names in Bold at the start and their thoughts in Bold. There may be other characters I write for using this.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
(Nov. 14th, Monday)
Lynette
I looked at the plethora of snacks on the table, then back to Wicks, who looked utterly aghast by them. Such a pitiful threshold for sweets. I joked in my head.
"You don't have to eat anymore, Wicks," I assured him with my hands at fists at my sides, striking a pose to show him I'd help in that area.
He nodded along, "I know." He sipped his coffee, then took account of my pose. "You still want more?!"
He's gonna make fun of me. I quickly spoke, "It's for Claudia. I simply wanted to give her some variety."
Wicks smirked, "Uh-huh?" He passed the coffee table and started to work his way to the kitchen. "Speaking of Lentils, Garter should be bringing her soon." I followed behind him.
I remembered Garter from the wedding. Specifically, our massive height difference. At least he's not as physically imposing as Xander. And for some reason, my breath became rough.
Though the tension we had between us cracked, it wasn't completely gone. There were things I wanted to ask, apologies I still felt necessary to say, yet I didn't want us to drift apart again.
"You're still my hold," I muttered.
Wicks turned his head to me, "hm?"
I smiled sheepishly, watching him pour another cup of coffee, "I was saying you're gonna have to help me hold over those snacks if Claudia doesn't like them." I found it hard to lie to anyone in my family. He looked ready to call me out.
The knock on the front door saved me. Wicks pushed off the counter, put his mug down, and raced past me since our kitchen exit wasn't far from the entrance.
He put me aside since I went to answer it first, "Never know who it might be; you stay put behind me."
He answered, and I heard a bubbly voice beyond him. "Hi again, Lynette's brother," Claudia peeked underneath his arm at me. "Lynette!"
I lightly waved and saw the skyscraper not far behind her.
"Hey, Claudia, hey, Garter." I gave a wave to him too.
He did the same to me and smiled at Wicks, "Package delivered, safe and sound, Boss."
"I'm not your boss," Wicks muttered with a thank you.
Claudia hurried past him and even me. I watched her as she walked around the living room.
"Wow, this place is filled with a lot of magic." She glanced back at Wicks, "Then again, your brother gives off more than most monsters."
Wicks's expression raised with concern.
A chuckle came from the beanstalk at the door, "She's lively; I like her."
"She is, huh." Wicks swung back his coffee. I knew he enjoyed the "refreshing" bitter taste. You got a coffee addiction, and I got sweets. "Thank you again, Garter," Wicks said.
Garter smiled, "you're welcome!" He took a few more steps from the door, "Have a good night, ya'll."
I perked up, "You're not staying, Garter?" I said it without thinking. I thought Wick's friend was bringing Claudia so he could have a friend at the sleepover too.
"Me?" Garter's blue puppy dog peered at me, "I don't want to intrude."
"You wouldn't be intruding," I said.
Wicks glanced back apprehensively as if saying, "Would you be comfortable with him here?"
I nodded my head. I didn't think Wicks would choose to be friends with anyone dangerous.
Wicks stepped aside for Garter. "We're gonna watch a show Lynette and I did when we were younger, the super rangers."
He ducked his head slightly and came inside, "that sounds so cool!"
Claudia tugged me toward the table, "Are these all for us? This is a lot of snacks!"
Wicks rolled his shoulders forward, "Lentils wanted to make sure we found some you liked."
I heard Garter's not-so-quiet whisper to Wicks, "Am I allowed to have some too, boss?"
"Yes," Wicks followed it up with a grumble, "and I'm not your boss."
I passed him one, and he took it.
...
As we finished yet another episode and it was midnight, Garter finally said, "Ya know, that green ranger reminds me of you."
"Right!" I said, poking him lightly with my elbow.
Wicks put his head down, and I saw his cheeks blushing slightly. "you guys are hilarious."
"I want to be the yellow one. She's funny!" Claudia chimed in.
"Oh, we used to dress up as them on Halloween all the time. I used to be the pink one." I said. "Garter can be the gray super ranger."
Garter held the honor bestowed upon him, "Next Halloween? For sure."
The other two spoke amongst each other, and I bent forward to semi-listen. Claudia switched my focus with her voice.
"You won't be working there next year, though...so I won't see you anymore."
Even though she held her smile, there was a tender innocence behind what she said.
"Even after I finish the year, we can still talk, Claudia, don't worry," I assured her. I didn't even realize I said 'after I finish the year.'
...
(Nov. 15th, Tuesday) Near Midnight
Ulysses
"Charletta, this doesn't look like the hotel?"
Charletta swerved in the passenger seat to face him and chuckled. Her long, vibrant light brown hair followed her twist.
"We are gonna help Lynette and her friend to give Wicks a midnight birthday surprise!"
That makes much more sense. No wonder the GPS continuously tried to direct us away. "Did you tell Lynette about it?"
Charletta still wore a grin and shook her head, "Nope. I'm gonna surprise her too."
That sounds like a terrible idea. He let go of the steering wheel, "You know, they had a rough couple of-" Ulysses blinked, and Charletta had already gone through the portal. You're the most spirited person I know.
He sighed and reached out to the spatial magic portal. It closed before he touched it. Oh. His shoulders dropped. Dad warned me there would be a day in a man's life when his wife completely abandons him. He smiled at the thought and remembered his mom leaving them all, including his dad, at the mall alone. He reclined back in his seat, taking a breather.
"Drake was young back then," Ulysses uttered, and his tongue touched his retracted fangs. He jolted, realizing his action. Disgust filled his expression; I'm glad one of us could be better to him, Wenna. Then, he put his chair back up and got out of the car. "I should grab a drink while she's..." he looked up at the window of their apartment, saw the flash of light, and his sensitive ears picked up on the light bang at the glass window pane.
He raced toward the stairs that led up to the apartment doors. IT BETTER BE WICKS OR SOMETHING, OR I'M ABOUT TO MURDER SOMEONE.
...
(Nov. 16th, Wednesday)
Wicks
He sat in the back with Lynette in between him and Claudia. He didn't enjoy the scare this morning, nor them holding him down when he woke up. Luckily the ridicule died down as the car ride progressed.
Wicks could tell they got closer to their destination by the rows of never-ending trees. This is the only way they'd meet us. Other than that, they know we'd find them and crash into their house.
He crossed his arms over his chest, subconsciously lost in thought. You have a knack for falling into danger, or is it that we lead you into trouble? Wicks felt a pair of eyes on him. He met Charletta's gaze from the front seat. She veered in her seat and put herself over the center console. "Put those big soft eyes away on your birthday; enjoy your 21st!"
"Jeez, you're so old," Lynette muttered beside him.
He chippered up, "Just wait until June, youngin'; you'll know my back pain." He slipped his hand behind his back and leaned forward with his joke. Lynette stuck her tongue out in response.
"If you call that old..." Ulysses' voice said from the driver's side.
"Then we're ancient," Charletta finished. Her head craned to him, lifted simply by the ease of seeing him.
It's hard to believe you'll be turning 29 next year. Wicks thought about Charletta. Is Ulysses the same age? He opened his mouth to ask but stopped as he felt Lynette near him tense.
He looked out, seeing the cabin up ahead. Mom and Dad were waiting outside. They don't hate you, Lentils.
"Are those your parents?" Claudia asked Lynette.
Lynette smiled lightly; a pain pushed its knife at her lips. They quaked with its threat. "Not my real parents. I was adopted when I was younger." Lynette admitted, "But they raised me for almost all my life. So, I consider them as much."
Wicks leaned against her, offering support.
Charletta whistled with her chuckle, "And you've always been our little sister, even before that."
"Couldn't agree more," Wicks said beside her.
The car stopped.
He felt Lynette's shoulders tremble. He saw the sheen in her eyes that she held back.
"Mis chiquitos!" Madre squealed, throwing open the front passenger door. She looked at all of them before yanking Charletta out.
Ulysses stepped out of the car too. He offered a handshake, which Padre changed into a hug.
Everyone followed Wicks and left the car.
His eyes locked on with his dad, who quickly scooped Lynette and him.
"Ah!" Lynette squeaked.
The heavy pine scent over his dad's body drowned out everything else. The position pressed Wicks closer to his dad's deep scars. Wicks admittedly couldn't remember him before he had them
Padre let the two go and stared beyond them with his best eye, "And who are you, little one?" He bent toward Claudia.
His cold, faint gray eyes stared, yet his lips curled. "Ha, I've gotten that quite a lot." He held up a hand to her, "I'm Stefan, or" he looked back at Lynette and pointed at Claudia. "This is the friend you told me about, yeah?"
Claudia's eyes went wide. She stared and tilted her head from left to right like she was using a Wii remote. "You-" Her eyes lowered with a giggle, "oh, you smell pretty terrible for a magus."
Lynette nodded, "yeah, that's Claudia."
He flipped back around, "Then call me Padre."
Claudia peered down at the hand he offered apprehensively. Wicks wasn't surprised. Most did.
Claudia smiled brightly, and a "wing" lifted her shirt and came from her back, "Nice to meet you." She looked over him more as they shook, "I don't think I've seen someone with so much magic potential before besides magic-bound monsters like me."
Padre's expression remained unchanged, though Wicks knew Padre held back instincts the others had little awareness of. "Another thing I get a lot."
Their mother came around the other side of the car. "Wicks, Lyn, Ulysses!" She tried to bring them all into a hug simultaneously, "Me alegro de que estéis todos a salvo."
"usted también," Wicks said.
"Missed you too," Ulysses said. He avoided the use of mom.
Lynette pressed into her. Wicks felt Lynette's tiny, tender hands grip Madre underneath him. "I'm glad you guys are okay." She still held on even after Madre let them go.
We're all glad you're the one that's fine, Lentils.
Madre eyed the one that Padre laughed alongside. "Is that your friend, Claudia?"
Lynette pulled back, "Yeah, she's a friend from work."
Work.
Lynette, Ulysses, and Madre went over to their chuckle zone.
He felt an elbow sling up and onto his shoulder. Charletta stood at five foot nine, much like Madre.
"At least try to be a little happy for her."
Wicks turned his head to the side, "it's not that I'm not happy for her. I am. I just don't like the sound of half the people she works with."
Charletta snickered, "And you've told her this."
"Of course."
His older sister teetered closer to Wick, "Then all you can do is let her decide for herself," she removed her elbow. Wicks felt his chest tighten. He narrowed down as she took a few steps forward, "We can't guard her forever."
He grabbed her shoulder, "This isn't a normal situation, Charletta. It's not like she's with a bunch of humans."
"And you know, humans aren't all saints either, right?" She said. She turned to stand in front of him and put a hand to his chest, calmly, "Now, relax, Lyn and all of us want to see you smiling today, probably even Lyn's friend too."
Wicks ran up her arm with his eyes, then released them. She's always so lax. She released him and went to the group.
Even though they grew up together and did so much together, Charletta always was a counter to him. I can't just sit back. You see what happens when I do. His heart sank deeper into his chest. It tried to hide. He watched Claudia next to Lynette. You said you didn't know much about Claudia before this. And you accepted her all the same.
Wicks knew that's just how she was.
You're better than me.
...
Lynette
There was so much I wanted to say, and my mouth quivered in anticipation of it. I couldn't on Wicks's birthday. No matter how deep the guilts, claws dug into me.
Padre and Madre directed us inside the log cabin. It had been a while since we all went camping together or stayed in the middle of nowhere for a day.
The smell hit me first. A fragrant offering gestured for me to join it inside. The spicy yet meaty enchiladas await. Oh, I missed your cooking so much, Madre! I added some light to my mood.
The banners called my attention next, and the multitude of games, a board game table, billiard, and far off the area of presents. Packed as usual.
I slumped. I need to remember to give my family the gifts I got from the festival.
I dragged my feet and went to apologize to Wicks, but Claudia went in front of me and pointed at the balloons, shiny confetti, and everything.
"This looks like the birthdays in the movies, isn't it cool!" she smiled. "Thanks for inviting me to the party." She gave off a mischievous grin. A memory of her home pushed into my head. The table of partially burned, worn, and torn stuffed animals. Her original "party guests" for her own birthday.
...
After our big feast, Charletta and Padre worked on setting up the cake. Even though Charletta rarely could handle delicate things, she could somehow focus on baking better than us. The dark chocolate cake with crashing waves coming up its sides showed that much. She always did art within them, a memory from us. Or a highlight of the year, this was that of the notorious fry-stealing seagull.
"That looks so silly and amazing," Claudia said beside me. Her different color hue reflected the candle's flame.
I felt Madre behind me, "So many candles..."
I looked back at her, "Yeah."
"¿Qué pasa chiquita?"
"Nothing, I'm happy." I gave her a big smile.
Madre traced her hand along her back gently. "Lyn."
"I feel bad," Lynette whispered, "Claudia's never had a birthday. She tried to have one before, and some people attacked her." I can't imagine how you feel; you're still smiling. "She looks happy to be here in general, but-"
Madre interrupted me, "Never?"
I shook my head. "She never had the chance." I didn't have enough time to explain everything.
Madre moved her hand to my shoulder and firmly held it. She looked at Charletta doing the final touches, "¿Tenemos los ingredientes para hacer otro pastel?"
I flicked my head back, "No, Madre, it's fine!"
"Why?" Wicks asked, coming over from his phone call. Garter couldn't make it but wanted to wish Wicks a happy birthday anyway. "I think it looks great."
"Claudia nunca ha tenido una fiesta de cumpleaños. Podemos lanzarle uno por la mañana." Madre told him.
Wicks glanced over me at Claudia. She pointed at things on Charletta's cake. Occasionally, Charletta tapped the "wings" that came out of her back as a warning when she got too close. Claudia giggled after.
Wicks smiled, "I'll just share with her."
Claudia noticed us all staring. She tilted her head.
Wicks pointed where she was standing, "Take a seat," he approached her and pulled out the chair meant for him.
"Wicks-" Madre patted my back and informed Padre what was happening as he returned with party hats.
His scarred smile perked, "and no using magic or too much spit when blowing out the candles," he gave her pointers like a worn-out coach. "How many cakes did I ruin that way, Marsol?"
Madre snickered, "Too many."
Padre smiled crisply and threw his arm around her. "You could have lied, you know."
Claudia stared at the cake, her eyes again enraptured by the flames. "It's not my birthday."
"It is now," Charletta chirped, finally standing back up and groaning about her aching back.
"Looks beautiful, honey," Ulysses said to her.
"Damn rig-" Charletta met Madre's dart-filled gaze. "Darn right."
Madre nodded and led us in the Happy Birthday Song. Its sweet melody continued until Padre purposefully went off-key as he always did. Madre threw a hand over his mouth like every year too.
And once it was time to blow out the candles, Wicks and Claudia agreed to go forward. Then, Wicks pulled back, allowing Claudia to blow them out alone. She did so successfully.
"You tricked me," Claudia said, "I took your wish."
Wicks teased her, "Hope you made a good one for both of us then."
"I did. I wished I could try some cake."
I laughed aloud on accident, "I'm sorry-"
The shenanigans soon ensued. I couldn't deny the ease of seeing everyone together. It still stung, and it'll linger for a long time. Yet, I was glad I could be here with them, including Claudia.
It felt like the first genuine smile I'd seen from her, playing games and acting amuck with everyone. It sparked a slight hope inside the brim of my chest.
I thought of all the possibilities, what if I had not held back Kalin, if she didn't save me, if I didn't call for help, and if I hadn't met her. I pondered those realities.
Then calmed, and reminded myself, I was in this one.
They're all so different from me. I couldn't deny the slight fear and worry I had at the pizzeria, and at the same time, I remembered how sad Claudia looked when I said I might quit a few days ago. That's probably why I reassured her in the car.
I held up the juice box in my hand. I could check off one friend from the list. I would like to befriend Drake and Zilla... I knew Drake would be arguably harder as he's friends with Alexander, but if I have Drake in my corner, Xander might leave me alone.
And Zilla would be handled Lev, and Claudia could help with Xander on weekends. I was never one to really plot. And that was probably why the very idiotic statement ran out of my mouth.
"Or maybe one day we can all be normal friends."
...
Hey, you, thank you so much for reading. I'm glad I put out a story that people can enjoy! I hope you continue to enjoy it as WE have a LOT more to go! YOU BETTER KEEP PROSPERING! (Nonnegotiable, as always~).

So...I took some time from my day off and played every songs in Growing Stars until the last minute...
And that was…that was really a LOT of fun!! I know people scoff at rhythm mobages having a similar Chunitm/Soundvoltex kind of layout (or more so what ppl call Guitar Hero format now haha) lately and while I will miss all the older games that have their own unique playstyles..I…kind of get why recent ones go for this specific "standard"? Long ramble short, I think this layout is just perfect for "easy to learn, hard to master" kind of methodology no matter if you're playing on a phone or a tablet, no matter if you're playing with thumbs or index fingers, it's flexible for everyone and requires not too much learning curve… It's almost addicting to discover new things in these chart patterns and retry them until to get the hang of their playstyle. And I think each game under this format/UI does have some sort of chart pattern and style that are unique to their own games and songs, that if…If I were to ignore the brand attached to it, I don't think any other games with similar formats like Bandori or Pjsekai…will ever fill that gap for me…now that this game is gone…haha…
…The entire time I played, I really, really wished that this game was the game that existed back in 2017 instead of LoS… (and I was one of those who defended this joke of a game to hell when it existed)
I don't want to go through my entire history with imas but. I first got into imas through the 2011 anime when it aired. I played Deresute two weeks after it launched. I played pretty much every imas mobile games on launch since that. From Mirishita, LoS, Shinymas, even Saisuta… But back then, I really…didn't have any friends to talk about Deresute or Mirishita despite actively playing them haha ;; I got some friends to play the game and met new acquaintances here and there but…I never really considered myself a part of its fandom despite how much I closely followed the franchise and liked all branches equally…
But then just…SideM anime happened and…that was really, the first time I felt like I had friends in the imas fandom haha… The days when all of us started to play SideMoba, scouring through in-game magazines and Pixiv logs/fics and watching all SideM lives while counting down for LoS to launch…was a moment I'll never, ever forget… Unfortunately, it didn't take too long for us to move on to other interests after the letdown LoS was…so, if only Saisuta was the game that existed back then, maybe things would've been different… (Tbh the only thing that stopped me from playing Saisuta as much as I wanted to was my burnout with mobage and lack of free time, had only this existed when the past me was overly into idol games haha…)
In fact, back in 2018, it was SideM that taught me the term called "hobbyani". And I…really can't emphasize how that was really, and I mean REALLY important to me. Haha. But that's another story I prob would tell on another day. It may be a bit of a common term among kodomo anime circle now but back in 2018, I just…didn't know anyone on the EN side that knows about this "genre" that described my biggest interest from all these years until now, and I knew that from a freaking idol game of all places :')
So…back on topic, Saisuta is not perfect, I've heard qualms about it here and there but the thing is? Most of the criticism I've heard was mostly room for improvement. Despite its flaws, I still can tell that the devs, PR and people involved put a lot of heart into Saisuta… Literally just…everything about this game feels like it's THE symbol of hope and a bright future for SideM, but unfortunately, one thing the devs can't ever fight…is when the higher-ups refused to give them a chance…
I'm aware that the SideM brand is not dead, but it…kinda hurts seeing all its sister games celebrating a game to represent their brand identity and for the case of imas, the games have always been THE medium in-between new concerts and songs, without it, there's almost feels like…nothing to do to call yourself a "producer" for your fav idols haha… Even if imas has gotten better at making their songs and concerts much more accessible, I'd be more likely to just stick to my comfort zone when browsing their catalog on Spotify etc when these games essentially "forced" me to play and "remember" songs that I wouldn't otherwise give a chance. That IS the biggest advantage of having a rhythm game for a music brand…
And I don't think a future game for SideM can ever regain that "trust" that was already shattered and betrayed, nor it will live it up to the quality and potential Saisuta provided because it IS the best form of SideM content we've gotten in years…
…Anyways, I've pretty much voiced all my disappointment with Saisuta's shutdown... I could say more, but most of them are things that are pretty much already said elsewhere...I merely wrote this because I also…have my own "story" and "reason" with this franchise that I needed to mention, haha… This is not the first time I faced a shutdown of a mobage I've played, but frankly, this might as well be the most devastating one I've faced…
Well then. Good night and sweet dreams, Saisuta. May someday you will 再度笑む again.
#kogami's diary#long post#i debated on posting this or just keep silencing until the end. but ah well...

Which Video Game(s) for You are So Good that You Know if Someone Ever Tells You "Video Games are Only for Losers" You'll Bring up Those Specific Game(s) to Utterly DESTROY any Argument They Have.
Which Video Game(s) for You are So Good that You Know if Someone Ever Tells You "Video Games are Only for Losers," You'll Bring up Those Specific Game(s) to Utterly DESTROY any Argument They Have. So I feel like this is an interesting question to ask because I've always imagined a hypothetical scenario where someone comes up to me and straight up tells me "oh stop playing video games man, you know they're only for losers, right?" or even "you're a bum, stop wasting your time." This makes me just think to these certain video games that I know are so good that I'll never regret playing them. I honestly don't care what arguments these people who demonize video games have because in the back of my head, I've know that I've played games that are to me, works of art. And so, in a situation like this, I can just see myself bringing up a particular game and just destroying this hypothetical person and any argument they have.Even sometimes I see the media paint video games poorly, but how can one possibly do so? Like there's been so many stories of positive games that have changed people's lives--that have got them through tough times or even inspired them. For example, I can't remeber what exact game it was, but I remeber this persons saying the game had such a good soundtrack, it inspired them to create songs as a passion. How can someone call this person a loser for playing games, that's such a down-to-Earth story. For me, that particular game is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This game truly is a masterpiece IMO. Everything about it is so good. For those that don't know, you start off as this guy, who kills monsters for a living, and he is looking for his daughter. However, there is so much to that, haha. First of all, instead of looking for your daughter, you can become addicted to Gwent and collect every card in the game, spending hundreds of hours becoming the best Gwent player ever, lol.But jokes aside, this game has an incredible story with some of the best and most unique side quests ever. My personal favourite being the Bloody Baron side quest, where so many different things can happen depending on your choices, but each of them leading to the same outcome--a tragic ending that is clearly unavoidable in the dark world of the Witcher 3.You get to build relationships with excellently written characters that each have compelling stories of their own. There are good characters, but there are also evil characters, and as the protagonist, you get to learn of their past and so you start to feel for some of the evil characters, now that you know who they are and what they've been through Perhaps, you decide not to kill them now. Because of this, you feel like you are part of something bigger because your choices matter. Then there's the amazing visuals that this game has to offer. You can simply spend tons of hours just riding with your horse, Roach, exploring all that you see. You can go atop a mountain and start swinging your sword for hours like a true Witcher would do on their spare time. Then there's the incredible soundtrack that is so good I listen to it even when I'm not playing the game. You'll be riding down Kaer Morhen with Roach and the banger of a song called "Kaer Morhen" starts playing. Or, you'll be sipping wine in Corvo Bianco with B.B. and another banger starts playing. For me, this game transcends being just a video game. It's a work of art that really impacts you, as the player. So ya, if anyone ever tells me that I'm a loser for playing video games, I've already got the situation played out. Imma straight up call them uncultured and tell them to play the Witcher 3 before speaking. Lmao.Anyways, what is this game for you? For me, it's my favourite video game of all-time, and I'm guessing it might be for many others as well.I'd love to hear everyone's choices and what exactly they would tell this hypothetical idiot--who we all know simply lacks an understanding of the masterpieces that the gaming medium has to offer. THANK YOUUUU! <3 Your reply is so fun!!
I will honestly yap about Mikuteto/Negidrill any chance I can get because YEAH you can be SOO creative about them and do like literally anything you want and it makes me excited to imagine all kinds of scenarios !! Like another random idea I have that isn't the overly sappy high school romance that's playing in my head at all times is an idea that takes advantage of Teto being a "chimera" and maybe she's like "evil"/like a devil and this is obviously to contrast with Miku being an angel but instead of it being an angel x devil thing, it's Devil Teto suddenly appearing to Miku and targeting her specifically because Miku is like extremely pure and good... So maybe Teto wants to mess with her or get her to fall from grace or something (Teto being a bad influence on her lol) and she shows up in front of Miku while floating or something and is like "I'm an angel sent here to help you out" and Miku immediately clocks her like "those are bat wings, right?? I've never seen an angel with wings like that. Are you actually lying to me? lol" and Teto's immediately like "afksld you're just being prejudiced" and then we follow their non-human x human antics and Teto just follows Miku around and probably gives her bad advice wwww Maybe Teto learns to adapt to human life idk xDD
You being a Mikuteto fan for such a long time is so cool.... You've been a fan for even longer than me.... Ikr, "Negidrill" is such an adorable ship name and I was SO excited when I found out there was more Mikuteto art.... All Mikuteto fans deserve to get fed as much as possible for having such amazing taste. xD
When I was in middle school (like 12 or 13 myself), I ALSO headcanoned Teto as sweeter and shorter than I imagine her now.... That's because I listened to a lot of mainly cutesy Teto songs and I read Chibi Miku-san which has these two children like THIS and so the fact that SynthV Teto appeared and people made such COOL music with her and my idea of Teto did almost a 180.... I seriously love how much Teto has grown (my mental image of her too) which makes me like 100x more addicted to Mikuteto because cooler, older Teto is to-die for and Miku would absolutely pick up on that xD
If you haven't seen THIS image yet, you absolutely have to because it's what helped awaken me to the greatness and untapped potential that is Miku x Teto.... I'm going to attach it directly (below) so you don't have to click the link but this... This is such art.... Teto is tall... Miku is so cute.... The headphones around Teto's neck, the sheepish expression, the pants, the shirt tucked in, the jacket, SHE'S SO COOL WHAT THE HECK SHE'S SO COOL AND TALL AND GOOD-LOOKING and Miku next to her looks absolutely darling and also mischievous and YEAH I've had this image constantly open as a tab for WEEKS now because it really did awaken me to the cooler Teto and the beautiful Mikuteto that results...... This is just my personal taste but I love love love cool girls. Cute girls are amazing but also, cool girls and cute girls... Teto's voice is so good, I'll fangirl about her forever. And I've loved Miku since like 12 or 13 too so, it's a lot of love for both of these two <3
Thank you for allowing me to yap, I'm not even finished yet but I'm so glad I can share the beauty that is Mikuteto. If we happen to have the same taste, it'll be so top notch, but I'm open to all kinds of Mikuteto. c: and I like Mesmerizer too! Of course! :D
My idea of Teto is she definitely gets up to antics xD Girl probably brings a whole loaf of (French!!!) bread to school everyday and eats it in its entirety and her friends just watch and are dumbfounded because that's the only thing she eats all day or something wwww And she's consistent about it too! I wonder how her wallet affords it, perhaps she's connected to some bread factory or something LOL (just joking)
Miku definitely openly brags about Teto (and it gets 100x worse when they're dating) xD but even in the crush stage, Rin has to hear Miku gush about what Teto did that day and the view of her from across the room and how Teto looks so cool even when she fell asleep during class LOL "you don't get it Rin-chan, she's so cool, like a painting, and you know, it's even better when I say something that makes her blush, she gets flustered easier than you might expect and it's so cute and and and"
Rin: "get a room"
lol
For Teto, I adopt the "15.5" because it's her "human" age and her chimera age is "31". Like cat and dog years, yeah! So I basically have the same idea as you but reversed: Teto's been alive for 15.5 years so she's 15.5 years as a human, but chimeras have a different scale/measurement, so the same person is 31 years old in chimera years. For the 31 years old thing, I also like including it in my work somehow, so I came up with the idea that Teto is 15.5, yes, but she lies about her age sometimes and has a fake ID (don't do this, kids! xD) and the age she says she is is "31". Miku is surprised and is like "Teto-chan, you're not doing anything illegal, are you....?" and Teto has to clear it up (quick, give me a good excuse for Teto to lie about her age, haha xD jkjk)
I also came up with the idea that Teto is really knowledgeable of old things like "Blockbuster" and "floppy disk" and "VHS tape" and so on (and she knows how to pirate and torrent things-- necessary to add 'cuz I wanted to make a comic about that lol) so Miku (and friends) joke that she's like a millennial/31 year old "tech support".
Being an old Mikuteto fan is so cool... Back then, I saw them as friends, but ever since cool Teto arrived (SynthV), I myself have developed a stronger love for Teto and Miku is my fave and it's really easy to ship your faves, so I do xD Queen of Vocaloid x Queen of UTAU, the contrast and growth and comparison is amazing 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I also wrote a Miku x Teto fanfic like 2 days ago but I can't share it because it's not written well wwww It's a first draft and it fails the "show, don't tell" test so it's going to be converted into a comic (which I was planning to do anyway) xD
Also I have to admit, I had to look "VSQx/UST" up; I only downloaded UTAU like a couple days ago and I haven't ever made any songs or covers with Teto yet... But I got her to say "hello world" so that's progress wwww
You'll definitely find more Negidrill fans on the Japanese side of Twitter! :D Take a look at the 2 beautiful music videos made by †††room.... They're literally so beautiful and I've replayed them countless times and they're the reason why I decided to go all in on Mikuteto... And also the reason why my head is usually full of fluffy high school romance stuff of them xD
Video 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKZmJIeOEzw
Video 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZM6YzTWxt8
You calling "Kasane Miku" cursed literally made me laugh out loud wwww To be honest, I didn't think as far as marriage for them (my love for Mikuteto is only like 1-2 weeks old-- it's that fresh xD, but I liked both charas for like 10+ years so I'm no stranger to them at least), but hmm..... Hatsune Teto? I like it and it makes me want to look up what their names mean again, but how about a marriage where they both keep their names but just get the added privilege of calling each other "my wife"? xD I'm still stuck in high school mode for them so that's probably a lazy answer, but I'll think it over!! xDD
Your love for Mesmerizer has been conveyed xD That's amazing for real xD I didn't think it'd blow up this much but honestly, with the amount of attention to detail and the interesting setting, it deserves it. If you haven't played the Mesmerizer fangame, I definitely encourage you to check it out since you like it so much!
https://atena-fumei.itch.io/mesmerizer-fangame
It's really fun! And they even mention Mikuteto by name and Miku teases Teto a little bit, heheh xD
Fanfics are beautiful... There's one on AO3 right now about Mesmerizer and I'm looking forward to more updates!
Here's Teto's official cursor: https://kasaneteto.jp/illust_logo/
If you Google Translate the page (right-click, Translate to English) and scroll down, you'll find it!
Your playlist is great! I'll be honest; I was curious about the person who was ALSO a Negidrill fan so I checked your page out of curiosity and found your playlist and it's Mikuteto so of course I listened to it! Really nice! I like that you included some oldies in there like "Hello Planet" and "Remote Control". Those make me nostalgic, heheh.
You probably won't get much out of my blog from visiting it repeatedly 'cuz I need to focus my attention on something else that I've totally neglected in favor of nerding out for Mikuteto, but I'll definitely be making more as soon as I can! I'll just be slow for like a week or two jhsdkkds which is unfortunate but I'll work hard to make up for it..... And I'll also be looking for more everyday myself, ofc. xD
The reason I didn't follow you back is because I'm 24 😭😭😭 8 years ago, I used to be the same age as you, but EIGHT,,,, 8..... Time passes by so quickly 😭😭😭 It's so interesting when you say stuff like "when I was 13" because LIKE SAME but for you it was 3 years ago and for me it was,,,,, 11??!? I'm really impressed when I can look at old videos like Ring x Ring x Ring (one of my Teto faves and what literally inspired my art style actually) and see "15 years ago" because it means I lived for around as long. Yay!
My next goal in life is to be able to grow up to Teto's age, lmao, since I've already far surpassed Miku 😂
Your love for Negidrill is duly appreciated and it makes me really happy being able to gush about them! I'll work hard so I can get back to making stuff for them asap! And I really do wanna play more with UTAU and actually cover some of my favorite songs I grew up with c:
I still dunno if I should follow back because I haven't interacted with a 16 year old in like 8 years (ik you're more than your age but ALSO I AM THIS OLD?? xD), but I really appreciate u! Thank you! I care a lot about wholesome stuff and wouldn't post NSFW or anything weird anyway, but it does genuinely make me happy if I can do for you what other Vocaloid/UTAU fans did for me when I was your age (which is make content for them to enjoy lol). I can't do it that fast but honestly the more Negidrill lovers, the better. Teto and Miku are so great.
Thank youu!! <3 This reply is ridiculously long but I wanted to reply to all of your points. Thank you for taking the time to share your immense love of Mikuteto with me. They deserve it !!!!!!!!
The Negidrill art begins
#negidrill#while writing all this (which took me like 55 mins? lol) the light in my room dimmed#i'm now in a half-dark room. scary. lmao. but i will be undeterred#gotta work hard so i can make more Miku n Teto content asap!#living to Teto's age would be so nice. thank u Teto for giving me another goal to reach <3#i love Miku and now I love Teto like mad. funny how everything comes back together xD

You Can't Be Missed If You Never Go Away
A short playlist for the newly-resurrected king of sobriety himself. Songs on here are related to my Rikki Dies AU, In Vino Veritas.
This playlist is specifically made up of 2000s-2010s pop-punk, electronic, and dance music; the type of songs that have an air of confidence with an undertone of misery. Just like Rikki.
[R.I.P. by 3OH!3]
So you can keep the necklace that I gave to you
I'll keep the shitty tattoos
I can see it from the other side
The grass isn't always as green
The house is burned to ashes
I'm no longer in between
[The Drug in Me is You by Falling in Reverse]
Your secrets keep you sick
Your lies keep you alive
Snake eyes every single time you roll with crooked dice
[20 Dollar Nosebleed by Fall Out Boy]
Please take me back
I'm a stray dog sick
Please let me in, (please let me in)
[Church of Hot Addiction by Cobra Starship]
Just let me ask you,
"Hey, have you heard of my religion?"
It's called the church of hot addiction,
And we believe that God is lust for everything.
[Interlude/Concerta by Cash Cash]
Money can also lead one into vice and depravity
Remind oneself what is most important
Regardless of its power and appeal
Cash can not replace friendship and family
Joy and happiness
/
So shake your fists if you're even here
Down on the bed
But it's all in your head
So shake your fist
If you wanna go, oh, are you losing control?
[Déjà Vu by 3OH!3]
Hey mister bartender, mix me a drink
I really need something to tell me it's okay not to think
[You're Not in on the Joke by Cobra Starship]
I got my picture in the paper
And my parents were proud
"Hey kid, that's not a bad job, yeah"
Next thing you know
Peculiar faces start hanging around
Dear lord, can you spare me?
#my art tag#in vino veritas AU#rikki kixx#hoping the readmore doesn’t mess up all the text…….#you guys can't laugh at the songs ok i told you it was made specifically with this type of music. that was the point#so don’t come at me while i’m playing these fucking bangers you listened to as an angry teen#or was that just me. i say all this like i don't still listen to these songs all the time anyway.#our music taste really doesn't change from when we were like 12-15 years old like whatever you listened to then. that's it.#ANYWAY....RIKKI.....MY DEAREST#getting off topic. if you want me to explain the reasoning behind these songs hmu! i went for both lyrics and Vibes#metalocalypse

SINCERELY, YOURS.
hanta sero x fem!reader
WARNING(S): none
word count: 3.0k
song: sincerely, yours // nohidea
note(s): i just think that he'd be the perfect hubby tbh (EDIT: I'M SO DUMB I POSTED W/O TAGS PFAHAHHA)
Hanta finally managed to force open the door to the log cabin that had long been awaiting your arrival, the wooden structure welcoming the approaching warmth and laughter of the newly wedded couple. The ravenette smirked joyously and let out a triumphant 'hoorah', your laughter only adding to the display of ego on his face.
"And you said I'd drop you," Hanta mocked your earlier words, looking down at you with that very same smirk. If not for your arms wrapped around his neck and entire weight held in his arms, you most likely would have pushed his face away by the cheek. To avoid that shit-eating, joking smirk that rarely left his dumb and lovable face. The face you fell for so undoubtedly swift and heavy.
"I didn't say you would I said you may drop me," Was your response. "It's not every day we walk through so much snow!"
"Hush now, that was nothing to me," Hanta lifted the arm that supported your back, planting his lips on your forehead in a sweet welcoming kiss. Your lips curled in approval, accepting the gesture as Hanta used his foot to close the door behind you both, driving away the cold breeze from outside as warmth replaced it. "Now would you look at this place!"
Heeding Hanta's words, your eyes averted from his addicting gaze to the bonnie log cabin interior set out before you two. From left to right the cabin maintained an earthy theme, consistent in wooden textures excluding that of the supple beige sofas in the centre of the room. They were accompanied with ripening red cushions, as well as a few other pieces of furniture containing the same colour to maintain an advertising aesthetic no doubt. Lengthy beams stretched from one end of the walls to the other, set out in rows. The deepest wall (opposite to the entrance) was made mostly out of glass and onlooking a gorgeous snowy forest scene, small golden lights lit up outside to only add to the aura already presented. Built-up by red bricks and extending up toward the ceiling was a great open fireplace, already sparked alight and sensing a contrasting warmth to the bitter cold outdoors. In the corner of the room were a set of stairs most likely directing themselves off to the bedroom, though you and Hanta were so taken by the bottom floor's interior neither of you even processed there were more rooms to see.
"Wow... this place is gorgeous!" You said through a whisper, face lighting up at the sight. Never had you thought a place could be so beautifully arranged and so beautiful in general, and the two of you had this place to yourselves for an entire two weeks... it made you feel like the luckiest person alive! That you were really, as you'd just tied the knot the love of your life and were starting an entirely new journey with him. From the very moment you'd both uttered 'I do' in front of all your friends and family - the paths you lead became one that you would waltz down together.
"So you like it then?" Hanta asked, ebony eyes trailing away from the open fire and down to your own E/C irises. His smirk slowly transitioned to an endearing grin upon seeing your face of wonder, heart skipping a beat as your gaze met his and your expression mirrored.
"Of course! It's just how I imagined it - even more stunning than the pictures online," Your hand grazed Hanta's gloved one, though the barricade of wool and cotton did nothing to prevent the love and desire sent through the tips of your fingers. The ravenette admired your beauty in that lingering stare shared between you, exhaling a content sigh. You never failed to astound him with your beauty, the way your eyes glowed whenever you looked at him. How your hair fell perfectly into place no matter the circumstance (even on your worst of hair days you somehow managed to make it work). Not to mention your smile and laugh - those specific factors alone making Hanta fall for you over and over and exceeding limits of love and admiration he didn't even think he possessed.
Just before Hanta was to fall into daydream you shook him out his thoughts, the shifting of weight in his arms struck him to shake out of it, realising that you were attempting to shuffle out his arms in order to stand. So he let you down, grip loosening and reluctantly allowing you to step away.
"I'm glad," He quickly uttered, his hand lifting to his head to remove the woolly hat resting there. Then he proceeded to unbutton his winter coat as did you, the pair of you making light work of it due to the excitement of exploring your temporary home.
"So our suitcases are already here?" You asked Hanta, straightening out your knitted turtleneck jumper which was a soft pink shade. Usually something you wouldn't wear, but it was well-suited for the weather and didn't irritate your skin. So you took advantage of the purchase. From your left Hanta hummed softly, turning towards you once he was done hanging his coat on the rack. He too had a turtleneck on, but his donned a collect of abstract patterns and stuck to more neutral colours than yours.
"Yep, they should be upstairs," Hanta replied, running a hand through his hair as he looked over at you. He shifted over to your side, hugging you from behind with a mischievous chuckle. "But we can unpack tomorrow,"
"I like the idea of that, I just wanna snuggle," You responded with a giggle, leaning back into your husband's hold. After a few seconds Hanta stepped forwards, forcing your feet to follow suit. The ravenette guided you both to the nearest sofa, where he messily fell back against the ruby red cushions and you alongside him.
"That's because you procrastinate more than you've ever been willing to admit," Hanta turned you over so you sat atop his middle, hands settled on your hips like they were structured to hold them. There was a smirk on his face as you rolled your eyes at his last comment.
"I procrastinate because you distract me," You corrected, poking his chest with a prominent finger.
"Ah well, what can I say? I'm just that pretty aren't I?" He replied, laughing joyously. You couldn't help but echo with your own form of a chuckle, shaking your head as the smile on your face sent Hanta all kinds of elated emotions through his veins.
"You're not wrong there, Tiger," You grinned ear to ear, staring lovingly in his direction. Words weren't enough to express how much you loved him, your mind struggling to form sentences most of the time with just how much he took your breath away. In truth, you would have allowed yourself to remain gazing into Hanta's eyes the entire night. But you were due to catch sight of an envelope on the coffee table next to you both, drawing your attention away from him as fast as it came. The item too out of the ordinary to ignore. Peculiarly you leaned over to grab it, tilting your head at the item.
"What's that?"
"I don't know," Was your answer. Your fingers proceeded to slit open the top, discovering a smaller, folded piece of paper inside. Curiously you opened it up, voice filling the room as you discovered golden ink was printed on one side and intended to read it out.
" Dear Mr and Mrs Sero,
We are beyond pleased that you chose to stay with us for your honeymoon. Have a wonderful and splendid time at the start of your journey together and we wish you nothing but happiness and joy during your stay.
Kindest regards,
[resort/name] "
"Mr and Mrs Sero," Hanta repeated with a thoughtful stare to the wooden beams above. "I'm still not used to hearing that and we've already been married a week," A smile formed on his lips, releasing a chuckle from the depths of his chest. Almost like he couldn't believe the words he had just uttered. Tilting your head, you pondered on what he meant.
"How do you mean?" You didn't receive an answer straight away, the man you called your husband gently sighed, almost with the case of the lovesick. Somewhere during the exhale Hanta's eyes fell from the beamed ceiling and onto you, gratitude threaded in his expression as he stared at you.
"I just don't know how I got so lucky to marry someone like you," His hand extended to cup your cheek, cradling the slightly chilled part of your face (thanks to the cold air and wind from outside) as his thumb stroked the surface of your skin. Your eyes widened, all too used to the gesture but rarely ever prepared for it whenever Hanta committed to it. You smiled, nuzzling into his warm hold as your eyes closed.
"Me too," You hummed, sighing out yourself as your heart fluttered higher and higher with each passing second. A short silence ensued, ending as you abruptly let out a little laugh. It caught Hanta's attention, his head cosying into the cushion behind him as his brows raised.
"What?"
"Oh, nothing. I was just thinking about the night you proposed. That's all," Another laugh escaped, humour striking you as you recalled how it had played out. From the manner your lover rolled his eyes, he clearly still hadn't emotionally recovered from it.
"That stupid fire pit," He groaned, eyes closing in annoyance. "I can't believe I let it ruin the moment,"
"I don't think that was the fire's intention, Hants,"
Despite being blatantly confident and bold, when it came to more... intimacy-related things, Hanta Sero's expertise dwindled dangerously. It had taken him months of knowing you to actually ask you out on a date, and when you finally got together? Well, it took him four years before he began to think about popping the question - three months more to actually pop it. Whilst you did say yes once he got down on one knee on the balcony of your holiday home for your fourth anniversary together, the events that proceeded after were what truly traumatised the poor ravenette.
Your holiday was spent somewhere in the Caribbean at a beachside residence that locals rented out for tourists. You and Hanta had always been big on travelling, hence your honeymoon location being such an unconventional place. Or as far as you knew, you didn't have an exact number on how many honeymoons were spent in remote mountain ranges surrounded by blustering winds and snow. It was a nice change of pace to the intense heats nearer the Equator.
During that vacation in particular though, that was the year Hanta finally decided to propose. After a long day on the beach, swimming in the ocean and feeling the sand between your toes as evening approached, you watched the sunset on the balcony of the second floor, neighbouring your bedroom. To set the mood the firepit in the centre had been lit, creating a stunning orange glow in Hanta's eyes as he held you close to his chest.
You noticed he was quite fidgety in his seat, wondering what was wrong with your lover as he gripped his knee tight. Like he was uncomfortable or nervous. Like he needed to get something off of his chest. It was only when you pointed out your concern and his odd behaviour that Hanta managed to shift his stance. Moving from his stiff position to wobbling on one knee, then came the heartfelt speech that gave you a sense of where he was going. A subtle reach into his pocket and before you knew it, you were shouting yes into the night sky and your eyes foggy with tears of complete and utter joy.
Hanta placed the ring on your finger, the realisation hitting him at that moment that you and he were engaged. His excitement got the better of him, the male sweeping you in his arms and swinging you around as he babbled sweet nothings into your ear. The speed wavered his balance, his leg knocking into the table holding a bottle of wine he had ordered specifically for the occasion. Much to both of your bad luck, it all collapsed against the firepit and tipped it over - and one can only imagine what happened next. A rather chaotic ruckus erupted between you as Hanta grabbed you by the waist and flung you both out of the building via the balcony to ensure your safety. Then he 'thwipped' straight back up to the fire and frantically searched for the fire extinguisher to put it out, all whilst you sat on the sandy ground outside, frozen to how drastically the mood had changed.
Luckily the fire didn't spread too far. If not for Hanta's efficiency in dealing with it upfront, it could have spread to the bedroom and the rest of the house. It did not, however, the most damage being the balcony sofas that were scorched no thanks to their wooden frame and white cushioning.
Despite having just been engaged, there wasn't much you and Hanta could do to celebrate. So the night ended with you and he falling to slumber in the early hours of the morning, too exhausted after dealing with the owners' wrath after the slight mishap of nearly setting their building ablaze.
"At least you didn't burn the entire house down," You tried after a few seconds of quiet, earning a scoff on Hanta's part as he ran a hand through his hair.
"It felt like it when I called the owner's to tell them what happened," Hanta answered, softly frowning at the shrieking yells he heard during that call ringing their way through his mind again. Long after he'd shut them out based on the humiliation of being on the receiving end. You giggled, recalling how you were able to hear them despite the phone not being on speaker.
"I'm surprised they let us stay for the rest of the week,"
"That's because I paid the money for the damage caused within six hours of them demanding it," Hanta reminded you, dragging his hands down his face as he groaned out. Probably expelling his inner cringe at his foolishness that night. "Times like that make me relieved I'm a top ten pro, helps out with emergencies a great fucking deal,"
"Are you sure that didn't play any part in their generosity? That you're a top ten pro?"
"No way," He said and sat up to meet your height, hands looping to cradle the small of your back. He held back continuing to briefly peck you on the lips. "The bill they gave me was the complete opposite of generous,"
"How much was it again?" You asked, memory not serving you the answer. The ebony-haired male leaned forwards to kiss you again before he moved his lips up to your ear. His voice became a whisper, telling the sum in Yen which made your eyes widen in astonishment.
"Wow," Was your instinctive reply, Hanta scoffing a laugh in agreement based on your tone of surprise. It was there he nuzzled into your neck, inhaling through his nose to catch a whiff of your scent. The aroma acting as a sedative to wipe the memory from his mind permanently. All he wished to remember of that night was the way your face lit up as he asked you to take his hand in marriage. How your tears formed and how your lips uttered the words he had oh, so desperately wanted to hear after months and months of worry of being rejected.
And look at you both now; husband and wife and on your honeymoon. Holding each other as close as close can be with no doubt or hesitancy in your minds at all. Why he had worried so much was something he would never be able to figure out. As looking back, all of it felt like the easiest thing he had ever had to do.
Due to that, Hanta smiled into your neck. The change could have been missed, but you were far too attentive to not notice. The feeling of his cheeks shaping his smile made you smile as well, your arms wrapping around Hanta's neck in a desperate need to pull him closer. Your fingers ghosted the back of his neck, tickling the hairs that attached with care like no other. You rested your chin on his head, eyes closed gently in comfort. In response, Hanta hummed lowly, hands starting to rub up and down your back like he was giving you a massage.
Silence passed, the two of you simply enjoying the other's company and the intimate moment you had welded together. The proximity created a warmth that could fight any cold, the fireplace behind you both unneeded to fight the swirling snow outside. Your eyes peaked open as the faint crackle of the fire nearby caught your attention. You watched the flames dance for a second or so before you plucked up the confidence to speak.
"Just... let's not set fire to this place. Alright?" You mused, holding your breath as you waited for Hanta's response. Luckily he didn't dismiss it, actually finding the comment quite funny. He voiced a blurt of a laugh, head shaking as much as he could make it whilst it buried into the depths of your neck. Hanta's mouth opened to make his reply, quickly hushing up again to return to the peaceful silence of before, not at all ready to let it go just yet.
"Agreed,"

april media roundup
ok I am back to writing these posts for posterity’s sake and I have OPINIONS. good god. I suffered this month with my media
books
I read the first six Series of Unfortunate Events books. they're so fun and good, I've been meaning to reread them for a while.
reread An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green. this book is so addictive. I first read it about two years ago, so I'd forgotten some of the mystery parts and even the ones I still remembered landed really well. much higher reread value than I thought. 4.5/5 stars!
Be Gay, Do Comics is a queer comic anthology with a little bit of everything - history, autobiography, lots of different art styles. very inclusive, 3.5/5 stars
this might be a hot take but I read Kith and Kin, the Critical Role novel, and I didn't like it. I thought the plot was boring and dragged on, there weren't many cool lore insights, and the writing style was just meh. functional, but not amazing. the characters were really well done though, twins my beloved <3. 2.5/5 stars
for class I read Sister Outsider by Audre Lorde. it blew my mind, everyone should read this. 4/5 stars because I feel like the collection could have been organized better lol
I've been half-rereading Elantris to work on the Coppermind character lists. the politics are def more boring the second time through
music
I cannot stop listening to 8 and watch by Billie Eilish
extremely vibing with Mumford and Sons rn. their songs drive me insane /pos. specifically Ghosts That We Knew and Timshel
Blue Hippo by Maya Hawke
also Lizzy McAlpine’s new album five seconds flat
podcasts
staying up to date on Well Well Villanelle - they have amazing commentary on each episode of Killing Eve as well as talking about articles, bts, etc. lots of screaming, gay jokes, more screaming
Spilling Eve is another KE podcast. I don't like it quite as much but it's still very good and I've been listening from the beginning because I'm nostalgic. it's def less chaotic and also the eps are shorter
36 Questions is a podcast musical from like 2015. I'm 1/3 of the way through and it's pretty good. unique format + Jonathan Groff so you really can't go wrong
movies/shows
so Killing Eve ended. [screams for 20000 years] uh. I'm in mourning. that is all
I rewatched the first episode of the ASOUE netflix show. I watched it in French and the VAs are really good but the subtitles are not. anyway I love this show, the vibe is immaculate
started Fantasy High, good times were had. the second episode ending was WILD and I haven’t recovered from it yet lol
all right have a good day/ night everyone :)

Bro how tf do I even make these. I don't even really have anyone to tag who I don't already know the answers to these questions lol but I suppose just so they can answer them for other people to see @duskittycat (Edit: OH ALSO @astralmight).
I hope that worked I don't make posts on this website (Edit: IT DID NOT WORK I HAD TO ASK FOR HELP)
Last song: Day of Destiny: Spirit vs Spirit by Hironobu Kageyama & Monolith
Been thinking a lot about DB, DBZ and DBSuper since Toriyama's passing and this song was everything to me as a kid. Combined with a lot of recent retrospective analysis on the franchise and what it means to me, I had an itch to play it this morning.
Favorite color: Green
Green! Specifically default green, forest green and pale green. I have a strong affinity for nature and sometimes I yearn to fall asleep in the woods, it's calming. After that, I like purple (bonus points for royal purple) and light blues.
Last Movie: Pokemon: The First Movie
I was SUPPOSED to be watching through one Pokemon movie each Sunday with a friend group but it stopped after the first one bc people got busy with meeting each other and various other things. The last time I asked to try and get a movie night going I got 3 rofl emojis in response, we joke about it but it's IMPOSSIBLE to get gamers to do anything I swear. My fav Pokemovie is Rise of Darkrai btw, absolutely goated film.
Sweet/Spicy/Savoury: Spicy
I keep going back and forth on spicy and savoury lol, I've got a REALLY good spicy tolerance that I inherited from my Dad, and while I usually snack on savoury stuff I do love testing my spice limits, I need to find more good spicy snacks tbh, I had these wasabi and seaweed crackers but I kept binging them and ruining my tastebuds for 2 days.
Relationship Status: Single
Not much to say rly, broke up after 6 years recently and I'm just prioritizing being the best version of myself/making my friends as happy as possible currently. If smth happens so be it.
Last thing I googled: Libra binding of isaac
Look, I needed to make a joke about Libra and Tiny Planet and I had to double-check the interaction lol. The joke specifically was one of "Lebron allegedly spotted holding W while rocket jumping", which I made into "Drake reportedly seen taking Libra with Tiny Planet", which results in your tears not even doing a full rotation around you.
Current Obsession: Lethal Company
I guess? I'm not really obsessing over anything right now but I feel I haven't had my fill of this game yet so I still wanna play it, just sucks that pretty much everyone else has had their fill. A few weeks ago it would've been Splatoon 3: Side Order and I don't count MOBA's because that's an addiction (I'm also always partly obsessed with Fromsoft shit. Armored core, dark souls, sekiro and elden ring live in my soul).
People I'd like to get to know better
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAGGING ME @shamblespirate I AM SMOOCHING YOU SO HARD
Last song: Tití Me Preguntó by Bad Bunny
I don’t really have an explanation for this song other than it gets me hyped the fuck up and Bad Bunny really just is one of my fav Spanish speaking artists and idk with both him and I being Puerto Rican I just have this sense of pride ya know SKSMDM OKAY ENOUGH OF THAT
Favorite color: light blues
Any shade of light blue! It can be pastel, baby blue, etc etc like blue has me in a chokeholdddddd
Last Movie: Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop
MY BOYFRIEND SHOWED ME THIS MOVIE AND OH MY GOD IT IS SO CUTE???? Im a sucker for cute shit and this had me *sobbing* 100/10 please go watch it
Sweet/Spicy/Savoury: Savory
Oh this is tough….. I was teetering between spicy and savory but ultimately landed on savory cause I’m just baby when it comes to spice 😭 like I like it when my food has a kick to it but I’ll always love myself a good steak with some A1 sauce or some tacos from this good taco shop down the street like I can live without spicy but I can’t live without savory
Relationship Status: Taken!
I’ve been in this relationship for over 3 years!! High school sweethearts 🥰 I actually knew him for around 6+ years and I’ve been in love with him since the beginning and he has been in love with me too but we haven’t done anything about it till senior year 😭 truly a mutual pining slow burn 🤭fun fact! Our anniversary is the same day as Laws Birthday
Last thing I googled: cenote
I booked a cruise for my birthday and I was looking up excursions and there was one where it was like cave and cenote diving and I didn’t know what it was so I looked it up! It’s basically like a sinkhole filled with water I might just have to do that 👀👀
Current Obsession: Bugsnax
THIS IS SUCH A CUTE VIDEO GAME AND IVE BEEN PLAYING IT NONSTOP FOR THE PAST WEEK I think everyone should be required to play this game at one point in their lives

my lovely fandoms
I thought I would make a post comprising of the fandoms I'm in, even if I'm not really active in them.the main ones Undertale - specifically UTMV (undertale multiverse)
this is my main fandom and the one I participate most in. the art, writing, and creators are great. are there some bad parts? of course, every fandom has its faults but it's not nearly as bad as others think. bless all the super dedicated artists and writers who work so hard to keep it alive and make everyone smile, cry and everything in between. Edit: I literally cannot escape, if you want a fic rec im your gamer. I will sing the praises of the talented writers in this community any day of the year. Danganronpa this is one I recently joined and I love it and the games so much but JEEZ, people need to chill over the ships and mainly need to stop shitting on characters they either don't understand and mistreating people who have different favorites like their favorite protag or antag. that being said, kokichi is my favorite character and no I will not change that. that being said, there is one character that triggers my anxiety and I cannot even think about them without shaking and feeling sick so that sucks but overall I will be buying the decadence collection when it comes out. Edit: I got the collection, barely played it cause i have a very short attention span and the stupidity of the characters infuriates me. The owl house I promise I'm not joking this series is gold, amazing art, I love the covens and show and characters, it's just * chef's kiss*. the show may only be on its second season but I hope that it gets more seasons. real excited for an actual gay Disney character. I am so excited for new episodes, don't worry I won't post spoilers! Edit: I would literally commit arson for the collector omg. I HATE HUNTLOW WITH A PASSION, why? eh, feels forced and boring as hell. their friendship would mean soooooooo much more to be honest, neither of them should be thinking of a relationship in there current predicament. kind of in this fandom? splatoon I love the second game and I'm super excited for the third, but I never played the first. I play splatoon 2 on and off, but it is the game I have around 500 hours on, on my switch. I have read some comics and absolutely adore the art, but I haven't read any stories on their own out of fear, it's a game with squids and octopi, you can understand why. Edit: I have splatoon 3 and it is my favourite game atm, i love it so much im so excited for the dlc and the fresh season coming up. im very proud of the squid research lab for having gender abolished. My little pony (only friendship is magic though) I can explain. I started watching the show when it first came out when I was little so I just kept watching and got the mobile game, dolls, a big applejack plushie, (she was my favourite) and some of the comics. if you ask me the comics are actually really good and get a lot darker than the show and it feels more expressive and less "the magic of friendship will fix all!" even though that does happen. overall, I just like rewatching the show sometimes and seeing what great works of art people make. the soundtrack slaps though. also, cupcakes, that creepypasta and a couple others traumatised me when I was like ten so there's that. gravity falls?
I love the entire series to bits, the art and headcanons but there is little to no new content so I just lurk and wait for more.
Disney gets a mention cause it's not really a fandom (Edit: fuck disney support indie creators and the actual creators of the cartoons they deserve so much more than the platforms give them)
Helluva boss/ Hazbin hotel well, one of these is content starved, and the other is bountiful. still live them both a lot. addict is one of my favourite songs ever, also stolas' song, and ironically vacay to bonetown is a comfort song. the character designs are cool! Edit: Stolas is my blorbo i love this silly owl man and I am hype over season 2 and more episodes, also i have some merch! an alastor pin and some stolas stuff including his grimoure! steven universe since the series ended there isn't much to say other than, I liked the original series, the movie was good, steven universe future was okay but overall felt kinda frustrating to me? the point of it makes sense, showing steven can't take his own advice, doesn't want change, and needs to feel useful, but overall I just wanted someone to try harder to get him to understand? it felt like everyone around him was just watching and barely cared. art is cool, the show is always fun to rewatch, and the SONGS. pokemon pokemon itself has been big for me since I was little so finding a bunch of people who loved it as well was fun. my first game was emerald (which was also one of my very first video games overall too) and I loved X, omega ruby, moon, ultra moon, and shield. the art, nuzlockes, gameplay, TCG, plushies, it's a huge community, but I'm not the most active in it. (my favorite pokemon is shiny sylveon btw) Edit: my favourite pokemon are shiny sylveon, spheal, and alolan vulpix as well as the tandemaus line. Lego Monkie Kid MOOOOOOOONKIE KID! FAMILIAR TALES, NEW ADVENTURES!!! I love macaque and sun wukong, shadowpeach forever. the series is so good the art style is gorgeous just chef's kiss all around. Kirby Love me the round pink boi what can i say. i loved triple deluxe growing up, enjoyed star allies, and adored forgotten lands. it's such a cute, sweet, sometimes eldrich horror-y, fun series. Daycare Attendant (FNAF SB) just this specific part I love sun and moon and all their depictions, animatics, the daycare theme song unironically makes me feel calm, it's like a baby sensory video. I wanna hug all the talented artists who made this very niche part a fandom in the first place. barely in these fandoms Miraculous I may be super into the show, but the fandom? not so much. I haven't seen much but there are some cool comics and predictions, but the whole love square stuff is kinda what puts me off of interacting or really talking about it. Edit: i just want it to end please it's so insane now i have no idea what is going on anymore in this series. i will stick around for fan comics and the finale. Hollow Knight the silly bug game made me smile, cry, rage, and so much more, my furthest completion rate is 107% I believe. still waiting for silksong.Harry Pottertrans rights Edit: FUCK HARRY POTTER NOPE NOPE NOPE NOT EVEN NOSTALGIA WILL SAVE THIS SERIES. I have seen the light and learned about the rampant anti-semitism, racism, shitty plot, etc. I am removing it entirely from my list. (Also i am trans i figured that out wayyy after making this post i think) That's it! I'll add more if I remember more! Edit: I added more :)
