I am holding so much gender in my hand right now

I'm not starting them just yet, there are some tests and fertility preservation things I've got to do first, but I now have Estrogen! I've been debating getting this for like 4-5 years, I may decide it's not for me after I start. I am still genderqueer/genderfluid and I still use any pronouns. I'm not taking T blockers yet either. We'll see how it goes! :)

Hiatus until at least June-ish

I think it's safe to say I'm on a hiatus and it might be until at least June. It's all for good reasons though! I'm moving in May, and have a lot of preparation to do beforehand, and then the act of moving.

I'm still playing and creating drafts and stuff on my downtime. I may or may not have new posts between now and June, I really don't know what my free time looks like (and also how I'm feeling about some of the posts too but that's a different battle).

I really want to try and keep up as much as I can with everyone else's posts, which will continue to be a struggle to do, but I'm going to as much as I can because I enjoy it and seeing everyone else's sims is what inspires me the most to keep playing too.💜

Anyway, wanted to make a post just in case anyone wonders if I'm still active or not. I consider myself active because I expect to be back. 😊

22 Days of Productivity

So for the next few weeks I will be in an intensive Graduate Etymology class. Each day I'll be responsible for reading about 40 pages of the textbook, posting a Q&A and doing a quiz. On top of teaching my students and keeping my flesh sack alive and well.

I'd also like to use this time to dedicate myself back to my yoga practice and dedicate 30 minutes on the mat each day.

The plan is to meal prep tomorrow so I always have something in the freezer to defrost and eat. I also want to start the day off with a smoothie so I'll prep smoothie bags.

This will be a great way to prep for 2025 as I'll be even busier than I am now. Going to keep this blog fed as my only social media during that time.

One of my kids at work last night chatted with me while I finished my paperwork and she told me about this new social media website she uses called tumbler (sp?) and she went into so much detail of what people do on tumbler and how she just started a blog and when I asked what blogs are she explained everything for me and at the very end of her explanation and of me nodding and making "oh?" noises her eyes got so big and she goes, "you should get one too, Ms. Natalie! that'd be so cool!" and I was like "mmm idk it doesn't really sound like something I'd like". I felt so bad

Other gameplay improvements:

All players can change their pronouns at any times. Pronouns do not affect romances.

Gambling is now unlocked earlier.

Two day offs is now unlocked earlier.

You can now allocate different points in magic and weaponry training to different skills, not just one at a time.

For now, the new alpha build is only available on Patreon, primarily because this is all new to me and I was working under a severe crunch after the abrupt closure of Dashingdon. Once all the bugs have been ironed out, I feel less nervy, and the dust has settled down some--and I get some semblance of a functional daily life back again--I'll get to work making a public demo available to everyone. It shouldn't be too long of a wait!

this description was one of the best i've ever heard. a perfect metaphor for expectation versus haunting and unnatural reality

also interesting that for ame's nat 1 insight check which also gives her nothing, brennan uses metaphors and similes of cities. how the crowds and eternal noise of people living being absent creates that ringing silence when one goes away from a city for the first time. a broken ceiling fan. we- or at least i- often think of ame as of nature, similar to eursulon, but people are a part of her domain as well. and neither nature nor civilization exist in a war zone. only death
