𓃬 I wanna preface before I say anything, I absolutely LOVE CDplayer! And me making them exes is in no way hating on the ship! I just like angst and I basically made them both have a falling out from the JK-47 incident. I don't think Tammy would break up, I think Penny just genuinely avoided everyone and everything after that happened with barely any additional communication. Dick move to practically ghost her I know, but my Penny Lamb is not the most mentally healthy since-, I don't think she would be given all the shit she's been through...

𓃬 Sad note I forgot to add to the backpack is that she keeps a cross necklace in the pocket of her school uniform that Tammy gave to her, ouch!

𓃬 She keeps a mask in her bag since she tends to wear a face mask to try and blend into the background and escape the relentless bullying she faces at St Cassian, it works most of the time.

𓃬 Her blonde streaks in her hair is not dye. When she came back life part of Jane still remained in her, that being the porcelain doll's blonde hair. She can't remove it whether by cutting it off or dying, she's just like that permanently. I touched on my personal headcanons with Penny's sense of identity when it came to Jane in a very old fanfiction, that I discontinued. It's definitely gonna come back in the ghost AU I'm currently working on.

𓃬 She constantly looks like she's been pushed down the stairs. Usually not the case she's just very clumsy, definitely concerns the choir that she just shows up covered in bandages and bruises and acts like nothing happened.

Ocean

✪ Non ginger Ocean is still too cursed to me so I'm just gonna go with her dying it since no one probably wants to be ginger. (no offense)

✪ She keeps any random item Penny gives her. Even if it's like a paperclip she found on the ground, she treasures it. (Reason why half of the crap is just rocks, Penny is like a bird that picks up shiny things and gives them to people.)

✪ She's only an inch shorter than Mischa, (yeah I made him tiny). They have a worse sibling rivalry than Noel at points since the height difference isn't intimidating.

✪ She constantly keeps trying to fix Penny's loose tie in the hallway or whenever she notices it not as perfect as she wants it to be. (because she is insane)

Noel

☠ Again no hate to frenchrap?? I think that's the ship name? (Noel and Corey) I think it's cute! Also means my man has the worst taste in men imaginable since he's fallen for SoundCloud rappers twice now.

☠ We need more hairy Noel designs so I shall provide. Sue me I like facial hair! you're probably gonna have to get used to it in most of the male designs.

☠ I accidentally gave him a mullet (technically was intentional). I thought him growing his hair out would be neat, unfortunately left him with a mullet, but oh well.

☠ I am very defensive about what I think the rtc cast would listen to when it comes to relevant time dates. Imo he listens to the cure, the smiths, scissor sisters, the cardigans, carpenters, strawberry switchblade, and Depeche mode. He also is a fan of most upbeat pop music from any era but he wouldn't tell anyone he actually likes that genre.

OKAY IM ONLY GONNA TALK ABOUT THE GUYS IN THIS ONE SO ITS MOT SUPER LONG AND SO YOU DONT HAVE TO REPLY TO THAT MUCH (im gonna send another one talking about the girls and actual show later tho.)

okay RICKY POTTS: the guy who played ricky (i know him) was SO GOOD. he was so amazing. the whole show, he just had this wide unblinking stare. he would literally just stare at the audience with the deadest fucking look and it was so funny. when they figured out he could tslk in purgatory, he went "thats nothing, watch this!" and then fucking did a handstand and the audience lost their shit. (sidenote the audience was super gay and really into the show). ricky had a great voice and absolutely crushed sabm. his costume looked like david bowie in labyrinth and once again the audience screamed. he also did the "level up!" thing so well. omg. his ricky was such a fucking cutie. he also hung out with jane doe a lot and they kept doing bullshit magic tricks with her party hat and cupcake. he taught her how to plays with dolls and how to imitate a cat like he did in sabm.

MISCHA BACHINSKI: i also know the guy who played him. he was AMAZING OMG OMG. his talia was beautiful. that shit had the audience weeping. he had an amazing voice and his belt during talia was so beautiful. and then he goes behind the screen and him and talia are like projected up there, right?? and behind the screen, you could just see mischa on his phone trying to text her. he just had the best vibe and he looked happy to be there. his hat kept falling off though and it was hilarious. (ricky had to keep handing it back to him). i LOVED him. he also at one point was standing with jane doe, pointed at ocean and constance's whole every story's got a lesson thing, and went, "this is stupid" and then jane doe blinked a bunch and imitated him and he gave her a high five.

NOEL GRUBER: was gooooood. their lament was amazing, so good. like they clearly had all the emotion needed to be noel and they really got the character. like when they kiss mischa, too, the audience screamed for them and then noel just smirked at the audience. but also the choreography for his lament was beautiful and at one point, he was like surrounded by the rest of the cast and kind of being pulled around before noel "dies" of typhoid fever. the amount of cheering his whole song and monologue got was impressive. (shocking, the gay people liked the gay guy). noel and mischa were also besties. at the end, they were comforting each other and then kind of took a little nap on each other. he also grabbed mischa at the very end when karnak dies and yanks him into the group hug.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Noel Gruber to have an opinion on that, as in, I literally looked up "Ride The Cyclone" just before typing this.

When you say "literally", do you mean you headcanon Spy is secretly Noel Gruber all grown up?

Of course! Noel is actually my favorite character from RTC (along with Ricky) So this will be fun to write! Sorry if this didn't come out how you wanted, but I literally came up with the idea for this scenario in like 1 minute, so the idea isn't really that developed, and the story turned out kind of cheesy （◞‸◟）

Thanks to your request, here's your order of a scenario I came up with! The scenario is about how (Y/N) and Noel are both in a group project at school, and are assigned to write a story together. This was an excellent way for Noel to introduce (Y/N) to his very own original character, Monique Gibeau.

Also, sorry for not writing in almost a week! I was busy with school, but now I'm free to write because It's a winter vacation (for me at least)!

By the time I'm posting this, it will be Christmas eve, so for anybody that celebrates it, please take this as a present (also for people who don't celebrate it, since you guys also deserve a present from me)

I was tapping my pencil against the desk as I was listening to the teacher talk about something. I wasn't really paying attention since this was the last period of school, so the only words I heard were "blah blah blah, Mr/Miss/Mx. (L/N) and Mr. Gruber, blah blah blah". Yeah, it was pretty boring to be hones- WAIT DID THE TEACHER MENTION MY NAME? AND ON TOP OF THAT, NOEL'S????

I looked at my friend Noel, who was sitting next to the person that was sitting behind me, and he also had the same shocked expression. as me.

He mouthed "what do we do?" And I just shrugged and put my head on my desk as an answer. The bell finally rang and the bell signaled the end of the day. We all got up from our seats and I walked to Noel since I think that we got assigned some kind of project.

"So...We're assigned to do a story, right?" I asked. Noel sighed and nodded, before he got his backpack and walked away, together with me.

"Yeah…and by we, you mean you and I," he whispered, trying to not bring attention to us as we were both walking out of school. "Oh…" I said, trying not to let my voice sound disappointed. He smiled. "Well, at least we'll have each other as a partner! That has to be better than going alone!" He laughed. I chuckled. "Yeah…" I said again before we went outside. It was still snowing and the ground looked like glass under my feet. I grabbed Noel's hand and pulled him towards the coffee shop where our classmates would skip class to go. I'm sure most of them wouldn't be there since they already went home or to their clubs, but I wanted to make sure we'd get something to eat before going to his house to work on the project. When we came in, it was actually fairly empty. There were maybe 5 people in total, excluding the two of us, which made things a lot easier, and we found a small table by the window so we could sit and eat without being bothered. Noel sat down first and then patted the chair next to him. I sat down and took off my coat before Noel took out his Chromebook that we had to carry at school every day.

"How about we start writing the project here so that we can have time to only edit it when we go to my house," Noel suggested. "Sure, sounds good!" I said. "Do we have a certain theme we need to follow for this project?" I asked. "Uh, yeah. A love story!" Noel said, looking kind of excited "Ooohhhh…" I smiled, thinking about what kind of story this could be. "Do you have any ideas about what characters we should write about?" I asked. "Umm, well…I've been meaning to ask you if I could tell you something personal." He said sheepishly. "Oh! Uh, sure! Only if you feel comfortable with it!" I replied, getting excited.

"Okay so…uhm…" He began, clearly not wanting to say whatever he wanted to say, but I could tell it was important. "Well, it's sorta embarrassing to say…" He muttered. "Tell me! I promise I won't laugh!" I reassured him. "Okay…um…" He started again. "It's kinda embarrassing, but…" he looked back into my eyes "but I thought you might understand." "Understand what?" I asked. He bit his lip. "That I created this character named Monique Gibeau as an alter ego of mine…" he mumbled again. "She was always one of my favorite characters ever because she's so independent and brave, but she's always faced with a bad ending…" He added quietly. I felt sorry for him.

"How about we write a happy ending for her in this story we're creating?" I asked, giving him a melancholic smile. He looked slightly surprised. "A happy ending?! Are you serious?!" He looked at me with big eyes. I giggled. "Of course! What kind of hero doesn't want a happy ending?" I said jokingly. "Plus, this story is based on your favorite character, so why not give the whole thing a try?" I tried to encourage him. "I'm not really a fan of happy endings, but sure, let's try I guess…" he said. He seemed to think for a minute, then he got excited.

"Alright, so how about we start with a plotline for this?" He asked, pulling up his notes. "So basically Monique is a hooker from post-war France, and one day she kills her pimp. After getting away with murder, she falls in love with someone who doesn't love her, and-" "Woah Noel! That's a novel-worthy plot you gave there!" I interrupted with a twinkle in my eyes. "But we do need to write a love story with a happy ending!" I continued

"Well, Monique loves this guy called Marcel, and he loves her too, although he's afraid that if he tells Monique that he wants her love, she'll laugh at him. Then she decides to meet him after her shift ends, and she gets stabbed in the back by Marcel. She then wakes up in the house of a nurse named…" he trailed off as he looked over a few pages. He turned around and smiled at me. "I got it! The nurse's name is Elisa, and Monique finally feels true love when she gets to know Elisa. Done, that's the happy ending that you so wanted." Noel said, trying to look bored, but underneath that bored facade, you could see that he actually had fun making that story. I smiled at him. "You really are a creative genius! Let's start writing now." I said, drinking my coffee. He grinned and he began writing. I can't wait to finish this story that Noel came up with within 1 minute.

Ride The Cyclone - BSU Musical Production

For spring 2024, Bowie state university's theater production team put on Ride The Cyclone. We are the first HBCU to show this production. It's a Canadian musical about 5 children losing their lives on a roller coaster called The Cyclone. They are thrust into this purgatory like game hosted by a fortune telling automaton called Karnack the Amazing played by Rodney Loper. The five children Ocean O'Connell Rosenberg, Constance Blackwood, Noel Gruber, Mischa Bachinski, and, Ricky Potts played by Lauren Christin, Whitney Watson, Camari Ragins, Jacobie Thorton and Aiden Nash are literally singing tor their lives. They are joined by mystery contestant, Jane doe, played by Queen Harris. A girl who lost her head and her memories. Each character gets a turn singing about their lives and why they want to be brought back to life. The person brought back by Karnack will have to get an unanimous vote from the others. I worked on the production as a Costume Assistant, this was the first production I ever worked on. I honesty think it was the perfect first production to step into the world of costuming for me. It was a creepy fun musical about life and death, It was basically made for me. Though the nights were long and I lived off a dinner of monster energy, I truly loved the time I spent with the cast and crew. Everyone was so nice and I got to make props for the show. I made Jane Doe's bloody necklace and the matching uniform for her doll. (I didn't get photos of the full outfit and I'm kicking myself, if i manage to get a picture I'll insert them later)

Under the Director, Elena Velasco, her vision and execution for Ride The Cyclone was really amazing. I like how she used pictures of the cast when they were younger in their introduction scenes. Rodney brought a hilarious deadpan humor to Karnack. My favorite songs were

What The World Needs - Ocean O'Connell - An upbeat song where Ocean sneak disses all her friends and basically says shes better than them. She says her best friend's only accomplishment is to be an organ donor.

Noels Lament- Noel Gruber - A cabaret song about living fast, scamming, stealing and stabbing at least one person then dying young in 1920's France. I added godet's to Noels uniforms pants to assist in the quick change.

Space Age Bachelor Man - Ricky Potts - A horny teens maladaptive daydream about saving and maybe sleeping with cat space people. I had to work on his tearaway bellbottoms and they were more stressful than an ex.

The Ballad Of Jane Doe - Jane Doe - A deeply sad song about loss of identity and not remembering her life, almost wishing for death to tell her. Queen has an amazing operatic voice that she sings in while bent over! This might be my favorite scene overall. It gave me chills everytime.

This Song Is Awesome - Mischa Bachiniski - A fun upbeat and catchy song. Jacobie really brought ENERGY with every performance.

Sugar Cloud - Constance Blackwood - This song reminds me of singing at home at full volume like nobody is around. Its youthful and fun, appreciates the life Constance had and she wasn't pressed about being brought back because she led a happy life.

Of course this production wouldn't have go on without the the hardworking crew! But this post is already too long. Linked is the Directors website with photos from the production.

13. Favorite representation of PassionRoses is when they just have this huge bromance. They help each other with lots of things no matter what. Literally ride or die bros.

14. My favorite representation of Jane Doe is when they make her look so incredibly off-putting. I love the Janes that make her look so uncanny, ex. Ohio University's Jane Doe and Sarah Jane-Pelzer's!

15. There's no denying WTWN is extremely catchy, no matter how horrible Ocean's character is.

16. Other than the OG set and costumes, I love the costumes and set design in McCarter, especially Karnak's design (I don't support McCarter btw)

17. Every TBOJD performance. I love watching different ones because there's a tinge of uniqueness, especially how they sing her arpeggio riffing.

18. I headcanon Ocean to LOVE Taylor Swift. Like a die-hard swiftie. In the Works & Processing video, one of the directors (Rachel? Or Jacob..) mentioned that WTWN was heavily and specifically inspired by Taylor's style of music (pop). I just think when Ocean was in times of stress, she'd plug in her earphones and would listen to Reputation because it was one of Taylor's "savage" albums, and Ocean would get extremely motivated to continue on with her duties, humming to some of Taylor's songs on the way.

19. I don't have a personal theory, but I did find one that was really interesting (and adding to my own thoughts) -- Jane Doe, or Penny Lamb died before the rollercoaster disaster. I assume she was decapitated by something else. I haven't really thought about what cut her head off completely, but generally it'd be another accident, and no one left to find her. Police have given up on her and just called her "Jane Doe" because police are really shitty. Because of her death, her soul just roams around Uranium, not getting proper closure of her death. This went on until Karnak was moved and abandoned in the warehouse, and briefly found Penny's soul wandering the deserted fair, using his power to bring back her body as she happens to also be in a St. Cassian uniform, however in one condition: to participate in a game of life and death. Karnak continues to bring back the choir's souls in the warehouse to compete who gets to go back to Earth, including Jane Doe. This was ultimately strange for them because they didn't know who Jane Doe was prior to the disaster and couldn't remember who she was at all. Anyway, that's a personal favorite theory of mine. I think there's plot holes to it (I could tell), but I don't want this to be longer than it should.

20. There was this fic called "All The Boys Noel Gruber Loved" by @/baphomets_balance on ao3 and I thought it was a pretty good insight of how his previous life was like as the "only gay guy" in Uranium.

30. My favorite part of RTC is its comedy in such a morbid setting and the beautiful lessons you can learn from it. Ocean's monologue when she was chosen to have the final vote was absolutely inspiring -- it just made me love life a bit more, and more accepting of death because I lived life well, and had one hell of a ride, and it was worth it. And the fandom is very accepting, I hope it continues like that.

An unpopular opinion: I i didnt think this was super unpopular but like my hot take is that i get that Ocean is made to be a morally gray character, but that doesn't mean that people have to like her!! i get ppl who love oean and i see her appeal but i just personally don't like her as much as the others and yes- it is because shes a horrible best friend who constantly insults her best friend along with literally everyone else in the choir. not trying to be hostile towards anyone at all but ocean is just not really for me and I'm allowed to dislike characters!!! :)

Studies have found links between autism and creativity, which makes a lot of sense for Noel since he was an aspiring poet

I’m definitely projecting but the quote “Mum tells me I gotta try to…blend in, so I tried really hard to…”dial it back”. I had to.” is SO autism. (i may or may not strongly relate to him because we have the same experiences with being queer and those experiences also remind me of my autistic experiences but shhhhhh)

I know a lot of this can translate back to the childhood experience of being gay, but autistic people are more likely to be sexually diverse as well!! Therefore, I chose to believe its both.

To add on, if you happen to be an enjoyer of the trans Noel headcanon (i’ve been seeing it a lot lately so thought i’d add this), autistic people are more likely to be transgender, especially under the nonbinary umbrella (may or may not be propagating one of my noel hcs here by mentioning the nonbinary part haha.,.,.)

Autistic people are more likely to struggle with their sense of self worth, usually due to autistic trauma.

Masking. I could write an entire essay about Constance and how much she masks. I am probably projecting but she is known for being the nicest girl in town and over apologizes a lot, even when she doesn't mean it. This could just be my experience, but extreme politeness, subservience, and faking certain emotions are my main ways of masking and I could see a lot of that in Constance. She was taught to do this by her environment and adopted the belief that her small town is horrible because MOST PEOPLE SHE KNEW THOUGHT THAT!! Even when she lost her virginity, (or rather, was sexually assaulted. going on a bit of a tangent here but why do i see nobody talking about that?? i mean, 17 and 32?? that is DEFINITELY not consensual) she pretended to find the carney’s joke about his tattoo funny, remarking that “you should always laugh at guys jokes or they'll think you're a cow”. SHE MASKS HARDCORE. YOU CAN'T CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE.
