Okay so hear me out.
Sanzu x reader but it's an arranged marriage for connections between Bonten and another Yakuza. But the entire time reader is just kinda forced to dress as a girl because his dad didn't have a daughter to shuffle off to Bonten, so when Sanzu gets time alone with reader and actually gets to talk to him and hug him - he finds out reader is a guy and is just like "WTF- Wait I actually like this better" or something.
Absolutely uwu
🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐
(name) was uncomfortable as he was dressed and polished, makeup making his face look more feminine than it was.
He hated that he looked like this.
He was going to his "engagement party" with Bonten higher ups, he was being married off to bontens second, he didn't even know who he was. He just hoped it wouldn't go south.
He didnt know who he was, what to do as he walked into the venue, both Bonten and (Yakuza) were guarding the grounds as (name)s father left him by the arm as if he were a daughter and (name) wanted to claw his eyes out with his manicured nails "behave, fail and I will /kill/ you" (name) wasn't even a spare, third born and just a chip for his father so he knew he was serious. The venue was impressive, many people from various organizations there along with political leaders, it was quite the event.
He was never celebrated this much.
Cremes and pinks, gold silverware and expensive plates along the white tables and the marble reflected the expensive chandeliers.
It was all too much.
"Your fiance saved no expense for you" his father said and practically threw him to the wolves to get a drink.
He just wanted to scream.
He was greeted and congratulated by everyone before he even got to meet his future husband, everyone commenting about how lucky Sanzu was to get with such a beautiful girl, all of them pretending like it was love at first sight, not knowing (name)s secret. He didn't even know who this "Sanzu" was, the entire time being chatted up by others and talks about future children being wed for stronger bonds, (name) wanted to puke.
"So you're the little bird our Sanzu is marrying" a white haired man with a tattoo on the side of his head commented and glanced at "her" up and down almost judgingly but made a sound of approval "he wouldn't shut up about you, he's absolutely smitten from a photo" he said passively before smirking if you grow bored of him let me know"
Gross.
(Name) concluded he did not like the one he learned was named Koko who mentioned Sanzu was off assisting their boss with something of importance, (name) wasn't sure what and he didn't know if he wanted to know.
He stood at the window, the venue being at the top floor of a luxury hotel, the city looking tiny from this high and the lights of Tokyo lit up (name) in a way that made him look ethereal, the city reflecting off his eyes.
"I was looking for you" a voice said calmly and a man walked beside him and stared at the city below with his fiance "beautiful" he said no longer looking at the city lights but at the painting of a "woman" before him, never let it be said that Sanzu wasn't romantic, he only was when he chose to be.
Like now, the man pulling (name) close from behind to look at the city and kissing his hand gently "you truly are a sight" he whispered in his ear and kissed gently and (name) yelped at the sound and Sanzu halted, he wasn't as easily fooled "are...are.. you a man?" He asked pinning (name) to the glass and looking at him fully, taking in the features.
"M-my father... He didn't have a daughter so he used me instead... I'm sorry for lying to you but I wasn't exactly given choice... I understand if you want to leave" Sanzu was pissed yes, he was lied to and given a man instead of a woman...but he was still that beauty he fell hopelessly in love with.
His pretty little doll.
"I'll keep you, it's better honestly that youre a man" Sanzu looked critical as he looked over at (name) "everyone will be looking for a helpless bride when in reality it's a pretty little husband" he pulled (name) close and his lips ghosted the poorly huffed Adams apple "I mean how could one miss this?" He huffed out a laugh as his piercing eyes stared into (name)s entire being "letting go of such a beauty would be fucking stupid after all"
(Name) let Sanzu kiss him as they hid from their own party "you're coming back with me, I'll have people collect your shit" he said simply and bit into (name)s shoulder possessively "get used to me baby, because you're /never/ getting rid of me"
And (name) in his heart of hearts... Didn't want to get rid of him, the man who despite it all looked at him like he hung the moon.

I love weddings - Lucy Bronze x Ona Batlle
Writen for the anon that requested it, i enjoyed writing it so thanks for the request!
Wordcount: about 7k? pretty big one..
Warnings: smut, minors dni
I Love Weddings – fictional story based on a true event?
"Lucy would come to this wedding too right?" Ona asked Alessia Russo.
"Bronzey? Yeah i believe so, Stani and her are best friends" Alessia replied carelessly. "Maybe her plane delayed or something".
''Yeah'' Jordan Nobbs tuned in ''she texted me, plane got delayed to this morning, that why she didn’t get in last night''.
"Ah shit, hope she'll still make it on time" Demi Stokes said as she joined the conversation.
Millie Turner laughed "ofcourse she will, she never loses, no finals and certainly not the change to be at her best friends wedding".
Everyone that was gathered around in the suit Lucy Staniforth had slept in, started talking about other subjects, but Ona was still thinking about Lucy.
With Staniforth’s bachelorette party Ona had had an amazing time with Lucy Bronze, someone she had certainly known about but had never formally met before. Ona had been giddy knowing Lucy was also going to be at Stani's hen party.
She had used Lucy's games a lot as examples to develop her playing style, so she had been watching Lucy as a player for hours. When she had finally met Lucy in real life, finding it amazing to meet her idol, she hadn't expected to be so attracted to the right back.
Lucy had this energy that drew Ona in, they had been talking the whole evening at the bachelorette’s party, about football but eventually also about other things. Ona had wished that night had ended in something more, but Lucy and her had been pulled to the dancefloor and after that they had kind of lost track of eachother.
She hadn't dared to send a message or anything, thinking the English woman was way out of her league and probably didn't even remember much of the night. But for this wedding Ona had planned to make work of her crush. After all, the craziest hook-up stories happend at weddings, atleast that was what Ona knew.
///
Lucy had arrived just in time for the end of the dress up part, it was 11am.
"Hey guys, sorry i'm late" she kissed Lucy Stan on both cheeks "you look amazing".
Staniforth laughed "im litteraly in a robe".
"Yup, i see that, but it’s true, you do look amazing" Lucy said smiling genuine at her longtime best friend ´´i´m so excited for your wedding Stani!´´.
"Well im glad you made it Bronzey" Lucy S. smiled "we’ve saved you a glass of champagne and your outfit is hanging there on the clothing rack´´ she points across the room ´´and she can do your make up if you want any".
"How well organized! Thanks, i´ll better hurry" Lucy walked to were the other girls were sitting, Ona was getting her make up done and Mille's hair was being done.
"JORDS!!!" Lucy gave her friend the biggest hug "i missed you".
"Yeah Lucy missed you too, damn, you're so tanned, Barca doing you good huh?" Jordan said.
Lucy went around the room greeting all the girls, everyone that had been at the bachelorettes was invited to be at the wedding the complete day, unlike the other guests who would arrive later, before the ceremony.
Ona was done with her make up and followed Millie who walked over to Alessia and Lucy who were chatting up. "Hey Lucy, long time no see" Millie said as she quickly pecked Lucy’s cheeks in an embrace.
After that Lucy turned to Ona "hey Ona, nice to see you again" and held her arms open invitingly.
Ona was eager to oblige and didn't care if her make up would get smudged as it was just on. She just had to give Lucy some kisses on her cheeks, it was etiquette after all.. right. ‘’hey Lucy, glad you could make it in time, heard you had some troubles on the way?’’.
‘’Yeah, the plane got delayed’’ Lucy sighed as she pulled her head back again but still held Ona's shoulders ‘’but I made it’’.
‘’you made it’’ Ona and Lucy’s eyes were locked on each others for a couple more seconds then you would expect from two people who hardly knew eachother.
No one in the room paid attention to them and the pair broke away from eachother after Lucy told Ona she had to get her hair fixed and put on the outfit, before she caused any more delay.
‘’Yeah ofcourse’’ Ona cleared her throat ‘’I’m sure we’ll have some time to catch up later’’. She cringed at herself, for her it was unfinished business, but to Lucy they were probably still practically strangers.
‘’Sounds good, I’ll talk to you later then Ona’’. Lucy said with a smile before she walked over to the hairdresser.
As Lucy Bronze got her hair done she thought about the encounter. [Was she imagining things or was Ona being very friendly towards her? When they had lost eachother during the bachelorettes party, Lucy had been disappointed, but she hadn’t dared to send a message, she didn’t want to come across as a creep, being eight years older then the Spanish woman, and Ona was also way out of her league].
"Would you like to loosen those tufts of hair here? That's a bit more playful than just the bun." The hairdresser asked Lucy.
Lucy’s thoughts were interrupted by the woman doing her hair, but she didn’t get what had been asked ‘’sorry what did you say?’’.
The hairdresser smiled kindly ‘’I think it would be cute to leave a few strands of hair loose, I can curl it a bit, it will look really nice with that low bun you want’’.
''Oh yes, do whatever you want, I trust you'' Lucy smiled.
..
As the morning went on, more people got to the location. The next thing on the agenda was a lunch. For the lunch there were some family members joining and some other close friends. After that would be the ceremony, where even more people were invited for and after that there would be a dinner with everyone. The day would be ending with a big party in the hall that the venue had, one with a DJ-booth.
..
‘’Yeah I like playing against you’’ Lucy overheard Jordan saying to Ona ‘’I don’t really know you but your always so nice and respectful, it’s a shame your so good though’’.
‘’thank you Jordan’’ Ona got a cute blush on her face, Lucy couldn’t help but join their conversation ‘’but what do you mean with shame, good is good, no?’’.
Lucy scuffed Jordans head ‘’she means it’s a shame she loses every duel’’.
‘’nooo my hair bruv’’ Jordan slapped Lucy’s hand away ‘’and yes Ona, I meant your a very good player, and I think it’s nice to get to know you outside of football too’’.
‘’yeah very nice’’ Lucy chimed in ‘’I was disappointed I lost you the other night’’.
Jordan frowned ‘’what?’’
‘’Oh at the bachelorettes party’’ Ona answered for Lucy.
‘’yeah, we were talking but I got abducted by Stani and you’’ Lucy laughed.
Ona laughed too ‘’yeah and Millie and Russo abducted me’’.
Jordan laughed ‘’ahh, didn’t know.. Ohhh was that why you asked if Lucy was still coming this morning Ona? Must’ve been an interesting conversation if yous are still remembering it, what was it about?’’.
Ona was blushing at Jordan telling she was asking after Lucy this morning and when she looked over she saw Lucy smiling at her amusedly. She smiled back at Lucy and again there was this eye contact that made the world around them disappear.
‘’Hm?’’ Jordan asked ‘’what was it about?’’. Jordan was oblivious to what was going on in front of her, she didn’t think anything of it, she was just curious what could be so interesting to still want to finish talking about weeks later.
‘’Oh ehrm’’ Lucy cleared her throat, still looking at Ona ‘’oh you know, I live in spain now, playing at Barca, Ona has also played at Barca and we talked about Spanish vs English culture, ehrm I don’t know some other things’’.
‘’Yeah’’ Ona smiled dreamy ‘’hmm spain, I miss spain, Lucy can speak a little Spanish but no Catalan yet’’.
‘’Okaayyy’’ Lucy put her arms up defensively ‘’I didn’t know this was some assessment about my ability’s’’.
Ona snapped out of her thoughts [shit did she say that out loud?],she had wandered off into thoughts about how she wanted to teach Lucy Spanish and how she wanted to show Lucy around the neighborhood where she grew up ‘’shit sorry, it was just a- a- i-
Lucy laughed ‘’it’s allright, it’s true I am in desperate need of some Catalan lessons’’.
Ona nodded eagerly ‘’I would love to teach you Catalan’’.
Jordan laughed ‘’eyy something your not the best at Bronze! Hahaha, Ona can speak English better than you speak Spanish!’’.
‘’Catalan is not Spanish!’’ Lucy and Ona said at the same time.
‘’Oh what, sorry’’ Jordan looked confused, seemingly having said something stupid.
As the lunch was served Lucy and Ona explained Jordan the difference between Catalan and Spanish and Ona gave a quick history lesson. And Lucy defended herself about her Spanish and Catalan skills, as she had just moved there and was trying her best.
//
The day went on and it was lovely. The wedding was beautiful and the speeches had been wholesome. When Staniforth’s friends were up for a little say, Lucy also said some words but Ona was too mesmerized to understand what Lucy, Demi and Jordan were talking about. The thick English accents probably also didn't help with that.
As the friends came back to sit in the crowd, in the row before Ona, she couldn’t resist to rub Lucy's shoulder "beautiful speech" she said quietly as a reason for the touch.
‘’Thanks’’ Lucy grinned back, knowing they had just spent 20 minutes roasting Lucy S., but she’ll accept the compliment either way, maybe Ona had made a translating error,.. but she couldn’t help but think Ona had been a bit distracted.
//
During dinner Ona was sat with Millie and Alessia, who also didn’t know the family of the brides quite that well, they were friends with Lucy Staniforth but they only knew her on a football and friend level.
Lucy, Jordan and Demi on the other hand, were long time best friends with Lucy S. and were now at tables with some family members they knew. Ona spotted Lucy talking to some guy, presumably a brother or cousin or something. She tried to focus on the conversation at her table but she couldn’t help looking over at Lucy every once in a while.
Lucy looked like she was having a very funny conversation with the guy. At one of the umpteenth times when Ona glanced at Lucy, Ona’s eyes met hers. Ona blushed and looked down at her plate, before looking up again a few seconds later, Lucy was still looking at her and winked at her, smiling, before returning to her conversation. Ona's stomach fluttered at the wink.
Ona tried to have a nice chat with the people at her table throughout the dinner, she made some jokes now and then and ate her food, but as far as she was concerned it couldn't be over quickly enough.
It was a light dinner with many courses but always small dishes, it was delicious.
Someone with a microphone said that during dessert some family members of the other bride, Laura, were going to do a little play about how Laura had come home after going on a date with Stani, and that had been the moment her family had known she had been in love.
Lucy thought it was super cute, she always loved weddings, it was so nice to have all the loved ones of a couple come together and celebrate the love of the couple together.
She herself had also seriously considered getting married at one point in her past, she had been really in love with her ex Keira, with whom she had been together for 7 years, but over the years they had fallen into a routine. They had no chemistry anymore, and sometimes Lucy wandered if they had had any to begin with, Lucy had often talked to Keira about their future, but they both had very different ideas about it. That's why they broke up. It had gone smoothly, but it had still been painful. But overall they had broke up on good terms, even sharing custody over their dog, Narla.
After that Lucy had dated, or, well, slept around quite a bit. She didn't want commitment for a while, just some casual sex with attractive ladies to feel wanted again and simply because, to be honest, she had hardly been intimate in the last year of the relationship.
Now Lucy was in a good place, she felt good, she was happy with who she was and occasionally, if she felt like it, she could flirt with ladies while going out and sometimes someone would come home with her.
She wasn't looking for a relationship, she just did what she felt like, and for now that was unproblematic and casual. If it had been just any bar in Barcelona, she would have loved to bring home a lady like Ona, but Ona was also a footballer, so ‘the status of being a footballer’ which normally came in handy and made many women gush over her, wouldn’t work on the Spanish football star who had won enough trophies herself.
At least that was what Lucy believed. Ona on the other hand, was crushing harder and harder on the English woman. The outfit Lucy wore today, a green suit with a white top, made Ona crazy. Maybe it was the fact that the top was tight enough to see Lucy’s abs bulging through the fabric, maybe it was the fact that the dark green matched her eyes and hair color perfectly. Or maybe it was everything of the above combined with the energy Lucy held, she was such a natural flirt, funny, fit and at the hen party Ona had seen she could dance.
//
After dinner people gathered at the bar ordering drinks as the music built up and within no time there was a pleasant atmosphere created. In various places in the room, groups of people were chatting happily.
Ona and Millie got their drinks and Ona insisted they headed to the dancefloor ‘’come on, if no one goes first there will go no one at all’’.
Lucy went to all the people she wanted to greet and she became completely distracted from the plan she had to meet Ona again after dinner, trying to have another chat with her.
After she had greeted everyone, there was being announced that they wanted to lift the brides to the middle of the dance floor for a first dance.
Lucy looked for Ona, trying to look for the beautiful blue suit she found her, Lucy took place opposite of her in the group that was going to lift Lucy S. Everyone helped carrying Lucy and Laura to the middle of the floor.
As everyone went on with the banter, Lucy looked at Ona. The beautiful, happy looking, freckled woman was stunning in her blue suit with her loose hair and the earrings, that was clapping with the music, smiling-
Demi poked Lucy in her side, interrupting her thoughts and whispered in her ear ‘’they’re dancing there Luce’’ she grinned ‘’you fancy her don’t you?’’.
Lucy looked up at her, still smiling, not yet processing what had been whispered at her until she saw Demi’s grin ‘’what? Oh- what no- I was just, I’m watching them dance’’. She cleared her throat as she turned her gaze to the middle of the dance floor.
Everyone was clapping and soon joined to dance as well.
‘’You should go for it, it seems mutual’’ Demi grinned as she danced away.
After a bit of dancing and contemplating, when Lucy saw Ona was standing by herself, she danced her way over to Ona. ‘’Hey’’ she said softly. ‘’Hey’’ Ona chuckled ‘’seems like we are simply not given time to speak properly, isn’t it?’’.
‘’Right!’’ Lucy sighed happily, happy that Ona felt exactly the same ‘’and I just had to greet everyone, cause its not often that I have the chance to speak to them’’.
‘’oh yeah, I hadn’t thought about that, sorry, you should probably catch up with them I’m-‘’
Lucy smiled ‘’no no, I did that, now I finally have time for you, I was looking forward to seeing you again actually’’.
‘’I was too’’ Ona said.
‘’we didn’t text eachother’’ Lucy stated.
‘’No, we didn’t text eachother’’ Ona repeated.
‘’Why?’’ Lucy asked out loud.
‘’You tell me’’
‘’I thought about it’’ Lucy confessed ‘’but I didn’t know if I read in to it’’.
Ona grinned ‘’read into what?’’
Lucy blushed ‘’I liked the conversation we had, but it could’ve also just been two people getting to know eachother’’.
‘’wasn’t it?’’
‘’oh- i- yeah it was, I just-‘’
‘’haha, I’m joking’’ Ona squeezed Lucy’s bicep ‘’I felt the same, didn’t want to come across as a weirdo texting you after knowing eachother such a short time’’.
‘’you would never be perceived as a weirdo’’ Lucy said honestly.
Ona frowned ‘’how can you say that, if you do something weird people think you’re a weirdo, that’s-
‘’pretty privilege’’ Lucy stated it as if it were just another fact.
Ona translated it in her head but couldn’t understand what Lucy meant, she laughed ‘’are you calling me pretty?’’.
‘’yeah’’ Lucy shuffled with her foot ‘’I’m sure you hear it everyday but it’s true’’.
‘’Everyday?!’’ Ona laughed ‘’no Lucy, and can I just remind you that you have only seen me at parties, were I have made an effort to look good, you should see me when I just woke up’’ she laughed at the thought.
That statement brought completely different thoughts into Lucy's head, she certainly wanted to see Ona when she had just woken up "No, you also look good in kit, even if you've been running for 90 minutes."
Ona's eyebrows shot up "have you been watching my games?".
Now it was Lucy’s time to laugh ‘’Yeah I watch a lot of games, I also analyze a lot of other defenders games’’.
‘’Oh yeah, ofcourse’’ Ona swallowed her excitement ‘’always room for improvement’’
‘’Right!’’
‘’I actually watched a lot of your games developing my style of play’’ Ona said carefully, not wanting to come across as a fangirl.
‘’reallyyy? That’s so nice to hear actually’’ Lucy gushed.
‘’yeah?’’
‘’yeah, I mean I had some older players I looked up too when I was still developing my style a lot, sometimes I watched games like 5 times, repeating their actions and then I’d reenact them at training or in games’’.
‘’Your not an older player’’ Ona said offended.
Lucy smiled broadly ‘’thanks, but you know I’m like eight years older then you right?’’.
‘’’pfffft’’ Ona waved her hand ‘’eight years, what’s eight years, I’m very mature anyways’’.
Lucy snickered ‘’football doesn’t care how mature or childish you are, if your body gets old you retire.. what were you talking about then?’’.
‘’Oh yeah, football, age, yeah retirement sucks, I just-
‘’am very mature?’’ Lucy grinned.
‘’yeah, and eight years is no problem for me’’ Ona said cheekily.
‘’Is this some weird way of flirting with me miss. Battle?’’ Lucy joked.
Ona leaned in and quietly asked ‘’how do you like to be flirted with then?’’.
‘’hmm’’ Lucy acted like she was thinking really hard ‘’probably maybe some dancing’’.
‘’oh yeah? Care for a dance?’’ Ona said as she offered her companion a hand.
Lucy took it and they went back to the more crowded part of the dance floor, next too the DJ booth.
As the evening went on they danced with eachother and with others, being pulled in to separate circles, forced to dance with others but gravitating to eachother the whole time. Ona tried to stay close to Lucy and the other way around, but everyone on the dance floor cheerful and excited that it was difficult.
At the end of the night the music slowed down Lucy took herself back to the Spaniard after getting two drinks from the bar ‘’you’re a very good dancer’’ she said in Ona’s ear, closing the distance between them.
Ona chuckled ‘’good enough to woo you?’’.
''Mhm, consider me wooed'' Lucy said seductively ''how about you, what does a woman have to do to get a chance''. Lucy put her glass down on a standing table and put her hands softly on Ona’s hips as they were swaying with the music.
Ona got nervous from the touch and the question, she felt her skin prickle under Lucy’s hands and her stomach fluttered. She liked the forwardness from the English woman, but she didn’t know what to say, honestly she just wanted to kiss the lips she had been sending looks at all night.
The smaller woman downed the glass of alcohol in one gulp and put it one the table next to Lucy’s.
‘’Want to go somewhere more quiet’’ Ona whispered to Lucy as she reached for the table.
The dark-haired woman walked after the Catalan, curious about where they would be going, as she didn’t really know the building, but maybe Ona did she thought.
Ona held a door open, when Lucy walked in she recognized the room as the parlor where the ceremony had taken place.
‘’I was wondering what was behind this curtain’’ Ona said as she stepped on the little stage at the end of the room. It was a big curtain, and as Ona got behind it she saw that the platform was way bigger then it seemed like from where they’d been sitting on the benches this afternoon.
She got her phone out to use the flashlight and searched for a light switch ‘’Lucy?’’
‘’Yeah right behind ya’’ Lucy said with a low voice, heavy from the adventure.
‘’D’you think this is a light switch?’’ Ona asked carefully.
‘’Guess there’s only one way- Lucy flipped the switch and held her breath. When a little spotlight went on she released her breath again ‘’to find out’’.
Ona chuckled as she put her phone away again ‘’very brave’’.
‘’Why, what’d you think would happen?’’ Lucy chuckled back.
‘’I don’t know maybe an alarm or something’’ Ona said with big eyes.
‘’God’’ Lucy groaned ‘’imagine the scene’’.
‘’Yeah’’ Ona said gently as she stepped closer to Lucy ‘’and we would’ve missed out on- she brushed against Lucy’s bottom lip softly ‘’this’’ she breathed out against Lucy’s mouth.
Lucy’s hands found themselves on Ona’s hips again, this time pulling her in closer. She leaned in to kiss the shorter woman. It started as a gentle kiss, the pair softly exploring each others taste.
Ona tried to deepen the kiss by cupping the back of Lucy neck, and getting on her tiptoes.
After a few minutes of the kiss that became more and more heated they were disturbed by a sound of giggles, familiar giggles.
They pulled apart and looked in each others eyes questioning, wandering if the other had heard it too.
‘’What was that?’’ Ona asked.
Lucy shrugged and wanted to continue, Ona obliged with her eyes still open and just as their lips met again the giggle sound was back.
‘’ew, now I’m creeped out’’ Ona said.
Lucy walked away from Ona and peeked behind the curtain, only to stare right at their friend who had taken place on the front row, all laughing now. Lucy quickly closed the curtain, as she got red in the face.
‘’what?’’ Ona asked, not understanding.
‘’Lucyyyy…. Onaaa….’’ Some person sitting in the room teased ‘’having fun?’’
‘’Ohh, fuck’’ Ona giggled.
Lucy groaned ‘’yeah, fuck, ehrm let’s just say we were looking for the bathroom?’’ she suggested in a whisper.
Ona agreed and was the first to step back in to the room, it was very awkward, as the few people, who she now could identify as Millie, Jill, Jordan and Demi, sat on the front row looking at the podium.
‘’Told ya’’ Demi laughed out loud ‘’that’s a tenner from everyone please’’.
Lucy had followed Ona and looked confused at her friends ‘’what’s this all about’’.
The four players laughed, Millie said ‘’why don’t you two tell us’’ she looked amused.
‘’Toilet’’ Ona muttered. Lucy helped her out ‘’yeah, we were looking for the toilets’’.
The players laughed even harder, Jordan was almost falling of her chair ‘’luce, dude, you have to see this video Jill took, so don’t embarrass yourself any further’’.
Lucy was confused and wanted to know what all the fuss was about, she gently put her hand on the small of Ona’s back and walked them to Jill, who was still laughing, to the point she was almost crying.
‘’Go on then, share your banter with us’’ Lucy said, having found her cool again, as she stood seriously across from the four giggling women.
She softly rubbed Ona’s back, trying to offer her some support as she waited on Jill to pull the video up.
The phone was turned to them, on it was a sight of the curtain, and shockingly to both Ona and Lucy, on the curtain there were very clear shadows portraying their heated kiss. The pair blushed hard, there was no denying it now, the light had betrayed them brutally.
Lucy stood there dumfounded ashamed to be caught by her friends like this ‘’what do you mean a tenner Demi, make fun of me for 30 bucks, please, i could've given you more to prevent all this’’.
Demi laughed ‘’Its not about the money’’ she snickered ‘’I saw the two of you leaving, and we were talking, then I said Lucy and Ona would be a cute couple, well’’ she looked at the other three women ‘’they agreed but they said that it wouldn’t happen, so then I said: I bet a tenner their together right now, and then we found you’’ she laughed again at the visual coming back in her mind.
The four women stood up and walked towards the door giggling.
Lucy groaned ‘’sorry Ona, they’re crazy’’.
Ona chuckled ‘’we probably shouldn’t have put the light on’’.
´´Allright we´ll leave the two of you alone´´ Jill said as the four players scattered back to the party.
Lucy and Ona stood there dumbfounded for a couple of seconds before Lucy broke the silence ´´God, you´re probably so embarrassed´´ she said as she kneaded her forehead.
Ona looked surprised at the older woman ´´huh, no why, I mean aren´t we both a little´´.
´´yeah but your so hot, and to be caught with me…´´ Lucy sighed ´´sorry i-‘’
‘’what no, no, what do you mean’’ Ona stepped closer to Lucy, reaching out to her hands ‘’I don’t know if I say this right but -I am the one punching?- right, that’s like how you say you are the hotter one?’’.
Lucy scoffed ‘’nah’’ but she got a blush on her face ‘’do you really think that? Have you seen yourself?’’.
‘’okay we’re both hot then’’ Ona laughed.
Lucy pulled the shorter woman closer smiling ‘’where were we?’’
‘’maybe lets go somewhere with a lock first?’’ the Spaniard joked as she leaned in for the kiss.
As the kiss deepened Lucy’s hands travelled to Ona’s but and pulled her closer against her, Ona’s hand, that was on Lucy’s stomach, was squished in between them, she chuckled in to Lucy mouth.
‘’hmm’’ Lucy said as she pulled away with a couple more pecks to Ona’s lips, lips that looked so kissable, she didn’t really want to stop ‘’maybe we should’’ she panted.
‘’Go to my room?’’ Ona asked softly after a gentle nip at Lucy´s bottom lip.
´´Oh shit´´ Lucy said as she remembered something ´´my suitcase is still at reception and I haven´t asked my room number and keycard yet..´´
Ona grinned ´´back to the party then, lets see how smoothly you can fix your shit´´.
´´Is that a challenge? Cause challenges come with rewards’’ Lucy challenged Ona back.
‘’Only if they’re done successfully’’
‘’watch me then’’.
//
Many people had already left, as it was already quite late, and most of the people who were still there had gathered at the bar.
They were saying goodbye or still wrapping up conversations.
Lucy and Ona mingled with the people for a while and then went to the reception.
There was a line at the reception with several people who also had to pick up their keycard.
//
''Ugh i love weddings, they're so cute'' Demi sighed to her partner. Her partner laughed ''yeah they're cute, and so obviously into eachother''.
Lucy and Ona didn't hear it, as they were already walking over to the elevator.
..
Coincidentally, their rooms were on the same floor, only Ona's was to the left and Lucy's was to the right.
The three people who had been in the elevator with them passed the couple who stood still in front of the elevator, hesitating.
"I think challenge completed pretty well" Ona smiled.
Lucy and Ona shared eye contact, the same eye contact that made them both forget the world around them. When the people entered their own rooms, they were brought back to reality by a door slamming shut.
Lucy cleared her throat, "eh, yeah, that was smooth, wasn't it?" She grinned, "I'm curious about the reward now."
-They were interupted by the elevator making some sounds, it was probably back downstairs with new people getting in.-
Ona took Lucy's hand and pulled her with to her room.
While Ona opened her room door, Lucy clicked the handle of her suitcase back inside.
They walked inside and Lucy left the suitcase in the hallway.
The room was semi-tidy, it was clear that someone had already slept there all night, but even the pajamas were neatly folded on the pillow.
Lucy asked ''just to be sure, you're not drunk now are you?''.
''drunk?'' Ona asked ''i mean i had a couple drinks but im not drunk no''.
''good, me neither'' Lucy said.
Ona laughed ''why?''
''don't want you to have regrets''
Ona laughed a little harder now ''ah, I thought you were going to say, 'don't want you to forget' ''. At that she mimicked Lucy with a thick English accent.
''wooow, is that how you think of me? think i've got a big ego'' Lucy fake gasped and clutched her chest.
''Nooo'' Ona quickly tried to clear up the misunderstanding ''no, i just wasn't thinking about regret at all, honestly i came to this wedding to see you again, and for the wedding itself ofcourse, but you know after the bachelorettes i have been-''. She stopped herself from blurting out more embarrassing truths.
Lucy laughed ''i was just kidding''. She stepped towards Ona and held her face with two hands ''but cute to know''.
Ona's cheeks heated up below Lucy's hands, but Lucy didn't pay attention to it, not wanting to embarrass the girl any further. She
She bent down and pressed her lips again against those beautiful, soft lips of Ona's, lips that now felt almost familiar.
She tasted her again, a taste Lucy wanted to taste more often. Lucy didn't know what was happening, it was as if she was under a spell by the Catalan. She hadn't been able to think about anything else than this exact moment all evening.
Lucy wanted to see more of Ona, to taste more of her, but she didn't want to be too pushy and wanted to make the shorter woman feel comfortable.
It was actually Ona who took things further, her hands pushing Lucy's jacket off her shoulders.
Lucy followed her lead after she dropped hers to the floor, she helped Ona get out of the blue jackter she was wearing.
''Your so beautiful'' Lucy mumbled below her breath, as she was stunned by the woman infront of her.
''Stop it'' Ona gushed.
That made Lucy look up ''are you sure about this, d'you want this?''.
Ona rolled her eyes ''Lucy stop second guessing, if somethings wrong i will tell you, i promise'' she smiled and softly asked ''or is it you that isn't sure about this?''.
''Im so sure'' Lucy was quick to ansewer, making Ona laugh.
The laugh turned into a squeal as Lucy picked up the smaller lady and carried her to the bed.
Lucy sat her down in front of the bed and took off her own shirt, she helped Ona with her top, who was fiddling with it for a while.
After both took down their pants, they now stood almost naked opposite each other.
While kissing, the English woman, who was now standing in her bra and briefs, pushed Ona against the mattress.
The Spaniard, who was only wearing thong, pulled Lucy along with her.
Lucy burried herself completely into Ona's neck, kissing and licking the skin below her mouth.
Ona got shy from how good it made her feel and covered her face with her hand ‘’luce’’ she whined.
‘’can I touch you?’’ Lucy asked as she pulled away to face Ona again.
Ona took her hand away and looked at Lucy questioning ‘’ofcourse you can touch me, what else were we going to do?’’ she said shyly but smiling.
Lucy smiled ‘’I just want you to be comfortable’’.
Ona sat up and took Lucy’s hands, she placed them on her boobs and said ‘’I’m really comfortable, Lucy I want to have sex with you’’.
Instinctively Lucy’s thumbs started caressing Ona’s nipples ‘’perfect’’ she groaned as she pushed Ona back on the bed.
They kissed passionately, Lucy’s tongue parted a way into Ona’s mouth. The Spaniard moaned as Lucy crawled further onto the bed, putting one thigh in between her legs.
Brushing soft kisses across Ona’s body Lucy travelled further south, Ona was already squirming under her mouth.
She pulled Ona a bit more to edge of the bed and hooked her fingers in the thong she was wearing
‘’can I take-
‘’yes’’
Lucy chuckled at the eagerness but took it off quickly, she held the younger woman’s hips as she kneeled down infront of the bed.
Ona put her legs on Lucy’s shoulders, Lucy graze her teeth along the insides of the Spaniards thighs, Ona shivered and gripped Lucy’s hair, forcing her to were she wanted the woman to be.
The older women groaned at the shameless desperateness, feeling how wet Ona was ‘’all for me baby?’’.
Ona groaned ‘’fuck, all for you Luce’’ she got even wetter from being called baby by the woman she was crushing on, imagining it could be more than a one night stand.
Lucy flattened her tongue against Ona, lapping at her taste ‘’mhhmyou taste so good’’ she groaned against Ona’s clit before gently sucking at it.
The shorter woman’s back arched up from the bed, Lucy grabbed her hips tighter.
''Lucy, more please'' Ona moaned as she shuddered below Lucy's tongue.
Lucy put her hand up to in between Ona's legs and gently teased her entrance with her middlefinger.
She felt Ona move forward and pushed in carefully, resulting in a moan from the woman below her.
''try to keep quiet for me babe'' Lucy whispered against Ona. The catalan bit her lower lip, because she agreed that no one needed to hear them, knowing that they were all acquaintances of Lucy and that she knew a number of people that slept on this floor herself.
With her mouth and her finger Lucy worked Ona closer towards her climax. When she introduced a second finger, it didn't take long for Ona to come undone.
All Ona's muscles tensed and after a swallowed moan, her whole body relaxed. Lucy who still had her fingers inside, carefully helping the younger woman through her orgasm, pulled her fingers out gently and brought them up to her mouth.
This came so unexpectedly for the Spaniard that she clenched her thighs at the erotic sight, a new wave of arousal hitting her.
Lucy leaned over to kiss her, Ona accepted the kiss eagerly, licking into the older womans mouth. Lucy moaned at the woman wanting to taste herself on her tongue.
The English woman's thigh came inbetween the Spaniards ones as the kiss got more heated. Lucy leaned deeper against Ona, hands traveling around on her body.
She smiled as she felt Ona rutting against her, searching for friction.
With a hand around Ona's, Lucy gently flipped the two. She directed the shorter woman's body so that she was sitting on one of lucy's legs.
''you look so good like this'' Lucy whispered.
Ona's cheeks got red once again this evening, but she had no words so she hid her face in Lucy neck as she continued grinding down on Lucy's thigh.
''fuck,.. use me Ona''
''you're doing so good''
''feels good using my leg to get off?''
Lucy talked Ona through it, feeling her nearing a second orgasm.
Ona couldn't think straight anymore, hearing the praise, feeling Lucy.
When Lucy gripped the Spaniards hips tighter, helping her grind down, Ona's orgasm crashed through her. She held herself up with nails diggin' into Lucy, she whined out into Lucy's neck.
After a bit Lucy carefully placed Ona besides her on the bed and covered her with gentle kisses. ''that was perfect''.
Ona blinked, a small smile appeared on her face ''mhmm, perfect''.
Lucy looked at the blissed out woman "Maybe you're perfect" Lucy asked herself but actually said it out loud.
Ona chuckled and pushed Lucy's face with her hand.
----
the end, pretty open ending but it was already such a long one.. 🙃
hope you enjoyed!

TW: Descriptions of Violence, Mentions of Cannibalism
Tags: Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen x Atreides!Reader, Arranged Marriage, Eventual Smut (still not in this chapter lmao), No use of y/n, Original Characters, Canon what canon
Word Count: 2k
A/N: So... this was posted prematurely a couple hours ago. This is the actual finished longer version. If you don't know what I'm talking about, thank god. Sorry this took so long, lmao
Just letting you guys know that my knowledge of the lore is purely based off of the movies and the Dune wiki rabbit hole I fell into right after watching part two. I also took a few liberties with the canon here.
I'm super open to constructive criticism, or any criticism at all (feel free to absolutely roast me). Like I mentioned, I've never written fanfic before so I'd love to hear your thoughts!
The evening of your first day in Giedi Prime was celebrated with a banquet where you were introduced to the most important people on the planet. You've heard many stories of the ruthlessness and brutality of the Harkonnens, hence surprised by the courtly welcome during the dinner. Although you did your best to politely ignore the Baron who floated at the head of the table being fed by servants.
You were sat beside his nephew who, despite your mother's education, has evaded your insight. You couldn't quite get a read on him.
Feyd-Rautha whispers to you amid the buzzing conversations of the banquet hall, "are you enjoying the food, little hawk?"
You shoot him a questioning look.
"I like your hairpin," he sneers.
You resist from reaching to touch the Atreides symbol affixed in your hair.
"We don't see such ornaments often here." He quietly laughs in his devilish way, only too amused with himself.
Ah, you realize. He means to torment you.
"Seems early for pet names," you say, picking at your plate, "we've only just met."
"Oh, and yet we are to be wed in less than a week's time," his raspy voice rings in your ear, "I should like to be familiar with my future wife, Lady Atreides."
The marriage pact had been signed when you were only a little girl. Inheriting your father's inclinations, you swore you would uphold your duty, undeterred by the gruesome and abhorrent stories about the Harkonnens—because you knew that centuries of conflict could end within a generation with this union. You were a willing bride.
And yet.
You give him a smile that, to those not privy to your conversation, would seem genuine, "You know nothing of me, na-Baron."
"I should like to learn," you doubt his sincerity but care not enough to discern it. He takes a smug bite of a forkful of meat, "perhaps tomorrow, you shall learn something of me."
The following morning Iassa helps you into another black gown, this time with a veil in anticipation of the black sun.
"Is it not dangerous for Feyd-Rautha to wager his life for a show?" you question.
"The na-Baron is a skilled fighter, my lady. He will emerge victorious," Iassa is straight-faced as she drapes the veil over you.
"Yes, I do not doubt it, but given he is the Baron's heir. Does it not seem a touch irresponsible to even risk it at all."
Not that you actually cared for his life, you just expected that the Harkonnens would be concerned with the preservation of their house regardless of their brutality. You recall your grandfather who got himself killed fighting bulls for sport.
"The na-Baron will be fighting war prisoners. They will be drugged beforehand. It is perfectly safe, my lady."
"Oh." You couldn't decide if you were disappointed or not, "I see."
Iassa seemed intent on dropping the subject, so you do.
You stand before a mirror and take a look at yourself. It is impossible not to be reminded of your mother. She was never one for vanity, but you like to think there was a part of her that always enjoyed the elegant dresses she and you 'had' to wear. You allow yourself a somber smile behind your veil.
"You look beautiful, my lady," Iassa curtsies.
"Thank you," you look at her bowed figure, gray robes made more dull by the stark black choker on her neck. You were sure she was at least 2 standard years younger than you are and it had only been a few months since you came of age. You wondered if she liked pretty dresses too.
Before you can ask her, there is a knock at your door.
The house steward, Jaromir, clears his throat when Iassa opens it for you, "The na-Baron requests your presence before he enters the arena."
Heavy doors open for you in one of the chambers beneath the arena. You are greeted by the sight of a half-dressed Feyd-Rautha being helped into his armor by a servant.
"Lady Atreides," he looks you up and down, "I hope you slept well."
You bow your head in acknowledgment.
"Your knives, master," a large man whom you assume to be the bladesmith presents Feyd-Rautha with two daggers.
The young Harkonnen takes one and caresses the blade with his fingers.
"I've come to wish the brave na-Baron well before his fight in the arena," you say in false earnestness.
He smiles at your inflation of his ego.
"Though I must say, I am relieved it is all for show. I would not like to see my groom wounded before we are wed."
"For show?" Feyd-Rautha tilts his head and you see his arrogant facade show the slightest crack.
"Yes, I've heard your opponents will be drugged will they not?" your voice dripping with innocence, "to ensure your safety, of course."
His grip on the dagger tightens, "and where did you hear this exactly?"
You sense the awkwardness and tension in the servants. The one who had helped don Feyd-Rautha's armor has quietly retreated to the far side of the chamber. There is a subtle tremble in the hands of one holding a plate of towels. You finally notice the three women piled upon a raised platform glaring at you.
"Just voices around the fortress," you shrug.
A deep breath recovers Feyd-Rautha's smug expression. "Call for the warden," he orders one of the guards by the door, "tell him to prepare new prisoners. Sober ones."
"My lord, you need not endanger yourself," you feign worry.
"Nonsense." The na-Baron walks closer to tower over you, "My lady bride deserves to see my true prowess."
He sees through your challenge, but you don't care. Seeing his self-satisfied smirk wiped from his face for even just a second was worth it.
"Besides," he turns away from you to inspect the second knife, "my darlings enjoy meat that's fought for its life."
The three women sneer at this and you see their sharp teeth as they hiss amongst themselves.
You've heard of Feyd-Rautha's concubines long before you arrived on Giedi Prime. Tales of their taste for human flesh were one of the things that tested your resolve in fulfilling the marriage pact. You didn't mind that the na-Baron would keep other women. It would result in less of his attentions on yourself, you figured. It was their perverse appetite that nauseated you.
A look of revulsion hides behind your veil which you sense they would be all too happy to rip to shreds.
"I will see you in the stands, little hawk," Feyd-Rautha whispers to you as he waves for a guard to escort you out.
You do your best to drown out the noise of what seemed to be a countless audience that came to see the na-Baron fight. You could understand now why they uphold such brutal traditions. The people are so excited for it.
On the other side of the arena, you sense Vladimir Harkonnen watching you from the Baron's Box that towered over the whole arena. The blazing sun only helps you avoid looking in his direction. You were sat at a viewing box, still for nobility and separated from the masses, but much lower and closer to the sands of the arena. Jaromir had told you that you were to 'give the na-Baron your favor'.
Before long, the master of ceremonies announces Feyd-Rautha's entrance in Giedi Prime Speech. They are celebrating his betrothal to you and the union of Harkonnen and Atreides, you translate in your head. You wonder if the people care for the politics of the Great Houses. They seemed no less excited to cheer at your name despite the centuries-old blood feud.
Massive doors open as the na-Baron walks into the arena. His arms outstretched holding his knives like an extension of his limbs. He riles up the crowd as he walks towards the Baron's Box and kneels to his uncle. He then rises and walks toward you, smirking under the stark light of the black sun.
You may not fear earning the Harkonnens' contempt, but you were the Duke of Caladan's daughter and you knew that the favor of the people was invaluable.
You stand and walk to the edge of the viewing box. The glowing smile you reveal as you lift your veil draws cheers from the crowd that rival what Feyd-Rautha received. You produce a pure white handkerchief from your dress pocket and make a show of kissing it and waving the cloth at the buzzing crowd. You throw it off the edge and it floats toward the na-Baron who had moved both daggers to one hand to catch it. He looks up at you with what you think could be the seeds of respect and tucks the cloth into the tight armband around his right bicep.
He turns back to the audience and raises his knives in a war cry. The crowd explodes in guttural cheers and applause. Feyd-Rautha takes his position in the middle of the arena as his first opponent is released into the white sands.
You've heard of the Harkonnen heir's aptitude in single combat. It's time to see if the stories were true or if it was just another part of their menacing facade.
You were handed a pair of spyglasses to observe with. The two fighters approach each other, the prisoner wielding a knife of his own. Feyd-Rautha holds a taunting stance. The prisoner was sober, you were sure, but even without the spyglasses, you could see he was weak. You surmised the Harkonnen cells weren't very hospitable. He attempts a swipe but the na-Baron parries with ease. Another and the na-Baron dodges. Zooming in, you could see Feyd-Rautha's twisted amusement. He was toying with the poor man—and the people loved it.
The crowds cheered at the clashing of metal, thundering when the na-Baron drew first blood by slashig his opponent's arm. It wasn't long before Feyd-Rautha's dagger had impaled the prisoner's heart. There was no pause before a second prisoner was brought out to meet a similar fate.
Feyd-Rautha stood unwounded, seething with exhilaration. He enjoyed this; the thrill of killing. He basked in the roar of the crowd. You had never ended a life before, but some deep part of you could almost understand how he felt in that moment.
A third prisoner enters the arena. He looked older than the first two, bearded and taller. He reminded you of Gurney Halleck, the Atreides Warmaster. This man certainly wasn't at his prime but you could tell he would not go down as easily as the first two.
The warrior holds his blade out in a firm fighting stance, refusing to make the first move. You notice picadors in black suits have entered the arena, circling the na-Baron and his opponent. Feyd-Rautha lunges at the prisoner and a quick series of parries from both sides occur. You see the finesse in the na-Baron's movement. He recognizes his opponent's skill and he is taking this one seriously. You were not sure what you expected of the Harkonnen's fighting style but Feyd-Rautha was vicious but precise. The crowd gasps when the prisoner disarms one of the na-Baron's knives. The warrior manages to get a grip on Feyd-Rautha's armed hand and aims to pierce the na-Baron's neck with his blade. The na-Baron struggled against his hold and the arid air was thick with anticipation.
You were unsure what outcome you desired as you stared through your spyglass. Perhaps this warrior kills your betrothed. What then? Would you really be able to go back to Caladan's windy cliffs again? Return to the arms of your mother as if it were all a bad dream? You wonder if when Feyd-Rautha becomes baron, and you his baroness, could you convince him to let you see your family.
The warrior's blade was dangerously close to your future husband's throat when one of the picadors lashes at the warrior. The na-Baron growls at the offending picador as the warrior is weakened. Feyd-Rautha pushes him off and allows him a moment to recover, taunting him to try again. Blades clash once more and after a sequence of quick ferocious movements, Feyd-Rautha's blade slashes the warrior's throat. Blood made black by the infrared of the sun splatters onto the na-Baron. He licks the darkness that landed on his lips. Heaving, he takes your bloodied handkerchief off his armband and raises it to you and the roaring crowd.
You did not even realize you were already standing, breathless at the sight.

MAKING OUT WITH THE BRIDE'S FATHER - JOEL MILLER HEADCANONS ✨
No outbreak!Joel Miller x f!reader
A/N: the reason why I love Pedro so much is that he always makes me feel alive no matter how bad the situation is 💟
A/N #2: besties I'm so sorry about this Headcanon, I know it's sooooo bad, but I had the idea several weeks ago I think I don't really remember and I've been writing a little bit every day since but I went through a lot in a short time and I lost inspiration but at the same time it was really bothering me to see it lying in my drafts unfinished, I'm sorry it sucks, but I love you all 💕
• you met Sarah Miller when she was only a freshman girl, completely lost in her first day of college after she was dropped off and looking like a scared little deer even if she tried assuring you she was alright
• you were a few years older than her and you'd been there, so you pretended to believe she was alright but still offered her some help to get her dorm organized and simply find herself around campus; she quickly accepted it and that was how your friendship had started
• during the semester, you became one of Sarah's best friends; as you were always there to help her out, advise her or simply offer her some company or comfort the days she felt lonely and missed her family too much - you knew she didn't know her mom and she was raised by her dad and her uncle which you thought it was pretty awesome of them, but other than that, you didn't actually hear much about them, as you both often talked about other stuff
• and so the years passed and soon enough Sarah was graduating and marrying her college sweetheart, Ben, who'd been introduced to her by you during a party, so it was more than exciting to be invited to that beautiful party
• so you packed your bags, got yourself a decent place on Airbnb and went to Austin, to celebrate the wedding of your beloved friend, due to conflicting schedules, you could only get there a few days before the wedding, which ruined your plans of meeting Sarah's family, having dinner together and getting to the city, since the most you were able to do was just handle the last adjustment and details for your dress, help Sarah with the arrangements for the party and of course, party hard in her bachelorette party
• the bachelorette party was partially organized by you, as you never really knew how those things were supposed to go, other than just the scenes you saw in several movies, should you go to a male strip club? Should there be men half naked rubbing themselves against you and your friends? You weren't so sure, so you talked to Sarah and you picked a nice nightclub to dance and drink
• so you and your group of friends hit the club, all in your best clothes, nice heels and Sarah wearing a cute little party veil so everyone would know she was the bride to be. The night was perfect and you danced and drank as much as you wanted, knowing you could just call yourself a Uber to go home
• you stayed until the end of the party, your group of friends had all left home in different Uber rides and Sarah was picked up by Ben just some moments ago, so you grabbed your purse, paid for your part of your check and went to the parking lot, since your uber wouldn't take much to get there
• and that was when you saw him: easily the most handsome man you'd ever seen, older than you of course, tall, broad, brown hair salt and peppered and leaning against his truck. He seemed to be waiting for someone, but his attention was immediately shifted towards you, and he couldn't pay attention to anything else
• you just caught Joel's attention as you walked out of that bar; you didn't seem drunk or wasted, but definitely a little tipsy and while he wasn't a creep - Sarah had accidentally called him and asked him to pick her up and there was no way in the world he wouldn't come for his little girl, even if she wasn't little anymore and was going to be a married girl in a couple of days
• and even when she explained to her dad that she didn't mean to call him and he didn't need to pick her up because she was already going home with Ben - clearly drunk, which bothered Joel but he couldn't actually do anything about it - he said he was just going back to sleep, omitting the fact he was already at the parking lot waiting for her. She wasn't a child anymore, but he really missed when she was one because then, she would still be his sweet little Sarah wearing her cute star PJs to bed, and not exiting the club completely drunk like she did a while ago
• but all that whining went away in the blink of an eye once Joel spotted you, because he couldn't recall seeing a better looking woman at a bar in so fucking long, that or it was because he hadn't gotten laid in so long, his balls might've been blue but he wasn't just gonna empty them on the first woman he saw, so he just kept using his hand for it
• but you... He swallowed hard and decided to take a few steps towards you, after all, it wouldn't hurt just to make sure you were doing okay and no creeps were bothering you, because he wasn't a creep, he just wanted to make sure you were alright
• and when you saw Joel walking towards you, you felt your breath caught in your chest. He was so freaking handsome, big and manly, the kind of man to put you on all fours and fuck you while he whispers into your ear what a good girl for him you really are
• and you didn't remember much of your interaction with him, when you realized what you were doing, you were pressed against the hood of his truck, kissing him hungrily while his strong hands squeezed your body and roamed all over you; your hands messing up with his curls, tugging at them slightly as you moaned into his mouth, against better judgement you could let yourself be fucked by him at that moment
• however, you didn't even know his name, it was a dangerous game your body begged you to play, but your rational side was still too alert for it, so when you managed to see your Uber had arrived, you found strength in yourself to get rid of his intoxicating touch in your body and simply run to the car, you should've asked his name, but you didn't
• and the following days after that night at the bar, as much as you tried thinking of something else, all you could focus on, was that handsome man and the way he held you, he gripped your body and kissed you; it was different from any kind of touch you'd experienced, that mysterious man seemed addictive to you
• but as the wedding approached, your lustful thoughts had to be placed aside so you could focus on all the tasks you had to do: help Sarah get ready, check the venue for her and so on, not to mention getting ready yourself for the event, being so busy you totally skipped the part where you'd meet her family
• as you waited in church for her with the rest of your friends, you couldn't help but being extremely shocked to see Sarah walking down the aisle by her father, whom you had never actually seen before that night at the bar, but he happened to be your mysterious fling from the parking lot
• Joel also couldn't believe the hot girl he'd made out with was his daughter's best friend, he knew he was older than you even if you both hadn't much time to talk, but he didn't expect that
• you two had to stop those feelings aside so you could focus on the ceremony, but the way Joel kept glancing at you, made it pretty obvious you'd have a very interesting wedding reception afterwards 😉

wednesday's sister's wedding to xavier? Bet it would be so goth and cute. Enid can be the wedding planner? She would LOVE that
Request: anything with Xavier please. I hate that he won't be in the next season
This has been sitting in my drafts for months. I was trying to achieve perfection and put my whole vision into words. I hope you'll enjoy it <3
Warnings: family drama, father/son issues
—
‘’I always knew you were going to be the first of our children to marry. Pugsley is more interested in pyromancy than girls, and your dear sister... I tried talking to her about the possibilities of, someday, settling with Enid, but she could have stabbed me with the knives in her eyes.’’
You laughed softly. Classic Wednesday.
Morticia fixed your veil, looking at you with a proud smile. ‘’You look just like me at your father and I’s wedding.’’ She paused, reminiscing. ‘’We married young too. I knew since the first time we met that he was the one.’’
Your dress was hauntingly beautiful — black, of course, with a long train. The kind you would like to be buried in at your funeral. You couldn’t wait to see Xavier’s reaction when he’ll see you.
You glanced down at the ring on your hand, and sighed. ‘’How long until the ceremony, Mother?’’ you asked, the time seeming to have gotten slower since you woke. You couldn’t wait to get this wedding over with and be married. To — finally — call Xavier your husband.
The wedding preparations had started very early this morning. Enid had been awake since the crack of dawn, making phone calls, directing people and making sure everything was going accordingly. She was the perfect wedding planner. She used to be part of the Rave’N organizing committee at Nevermore, so you knew your wedding was in good hands.
‘’Missing the boy already? Ah, young love…’’ Morticia said, catching the longing in your gaze. ‘’Your father and I too had difficulty being apart for the first…decade.’’
If only she knew where you had been a couple of hours ago.
Dressed in your black robe and bare faced, you wandered through the secret passages of the Addams manor to meet with your soon-to-be husband. According to most traditions, it was bad luck to see each other before the ceremony on your wedding day, but you and Xavier didn’t care. You knew you'd be together until the grave — and even longer still.
Since the rise of the dawn, Xavier had been cooped up on the other side of the manor with your father, Pugsley and Mr. Thorpe, who surprisingly made time in his busy schedule to attend. You and Xavier had been both surprised when his RSVP envelope came in, confirming his presence. The man had a tendency of upsetting Xavier, so you asked Thing to look out for him and come to you if anything happened.
‘’I don’t know how long we have until someone realizes we are missing,’’ you said, looking at Xavier in the glow of your candle light. Even in sweatpants and a tee shirt, he managed to look handsome.
He leaned down for a kiss, careful not to burn his hair with the candle.
‘’How are things with your father?’’
Xavier pursed his lips, his face crisped. ‘’I'm afraid nothing has changed with my father. He seems more disappointed than ever before because I chose to propose to you without his approval. I think he is more preoccupied by how the media will take the news and how it will affect his image. Because not even his son’s happiness come before his career…’’
You took Xavier’s hand, knowing his father’s words had upset him, pulling him out of his head. ‘’If, at any time, you want him to leave, say and I will have him removed. I know he’s your father, but it’s our wedding day. We should spend it with the people we love, not the ones who upset us.’’
He forced a smile, not wanting to deal with the public drama of kicking his father out. Although there won’t be press at the wedding, all of the Addams clan was present and he’d rather not embarrass himself in front of his new relatives. ‘’It’ll be fine.’’
The ceremony was hauntingly beautiful. Your father shed a tear, and Thing didn’t drop any of the rings on his way to the altar.
You couldn’t stop staring at Xavier, looking torturously handsome in his dark suit and his hair pulled back — your favorite on him. It made his green eyes stand out.
Uncle Itt, who was officiating the marriage, motioned for Xavier to speak his vows.
Xavier pulled a neatly written paper from his pocket, and began reading. He practiced his speech for hours last night — and this morning —, but he was so nervous he was afraid to miss a word. ‘’From the day that I met you, I knew I would follow you to the grave," he began, his eyes flicking up to yours. ‘’We were only seven years old, but I knew our souls were destined to be together. Ten years later, you showed up at Nevermore and my heart fell right into your webs. You became my sanctuary in times of darkness. You saw me at my lowest point yet still gave me your love and your unwavering loyalty. And on this day, with every whispered vow, I surrender my heart to you, my deadly nightshade.’’
The guests were enraptured by his words, his love for you evident in every syllable he uttered. Xavier poured his heart and soul into the words, your eyes gleaming with adoration as you listened.
Life had not always been kind to him these last years, but your hand remained in his through everything. When he was accused of being the hyde, accused of murdering all these people, you were the only one who believed him when he said he was not the monster. The weight of everything made you doubt if you were doing the right thing by staying with Xavier. Always follow your heart, it’ll put you on the right path, your mother had told you through your crystal ball when you had called her in tears.
But like at any weddings, something was bound to cause a hint of drama, and, as expected, that thing was Xavier’s father.
Mr. Thorpe had discovered that Xavier had used his mother's ring to propose to you, an Addams. His late wife’s ring, now on the finger of an Addams, was too much for him to bear. He kept his disapproval in check throughout the ceremony, but waited until the end to confront his son, taking him away from the wedding guests to talk of the matter.
You weren’t supposed to hear them, but you happened to be on a walk around the cemetery with your father, saying hello to your ancestors, when you heard a hushed argument by the border of the woods. You exchanged a concerned glance with your father. The Addams were known to start little fights at family events, but you had a gut feeling that you needed to follow the voices.
‘’—Mom passed it to me. It's for me to decide what I do with it and who I give it to.’’
You recognized Xavier’s voice as you got closer, making you regret dismissing Thing from his spying duty for the rest of the night.
‘’I bought this ring with my money, Xavier. I don't want an Addams wearing it. It’s a disgrace.’’
‘’I’m an Addams too now.’’
Hurrying through the cemetery, you reached the border of the woods and stepped in, your father coming right behind you. ‘’Is there a problem here?’’ you asked, your voice steady and clear as your eyes fell on your husband and his father.
Xavier released a silent breath of relief when he saw you. You were never afraid to speak your mind and stand your ground to his father, always advocating for him when he needed you.
Mr. Thorpe turned, his face a mix of surprise and indignation. ‘’Leave us. This is a private matter,’’ he snapped, unhappy to have a small crowd around him.
‘’It’s not a private matter when it involves my wife, father,’’ Xavier said.
You felt spiders in your stomach when he called you that. His wife.
Gomez stepped forward, his presence imposing. ‘’I heard the way you spoke of my daughter, Mr. Thorpe, and I will not tolerate that. Whether you like it or not, she is your daughter-in-law. She is part of your family…as you and Xavier are of mine.’’
Mr. Thorpe’s eyes narrowed as your father spoke. He didn’t like being called out on his behavior, especially by Gomez Addams, a man he viewed as beneath him. ‘’Your daughter was given a ring that does not belong to her. I simply wish to have it back.’’
Instinctively, you hid your hand behind your back. ‘’You speak as if I stole it. Xavier’s mother gave it to him as she was fading. You may have paid for it, but the ring does not belong to you anymore.’’
‘’Give it back to me!’’ Mr. Thorpe came at you, but your father intercepted him before he could put a hand on you.
‘’Not a step closer!’’
Xavier rushed over to you, taking your hand — the one with the ring — and holding it close to him. He won’t let his father take it from you.
Mr. Thorpe opened his mouth to speak but Gomez cut him off, his eyes fixed on him. ‘’I have tried to reason, but I fear you have gone too far now. I’m gonna have to ask you to leave, Mr. Thorpe. You are disrupting this wedding and I will not allow it. Not on my property!’’
He looked stunned by the request, as if he had never been asked to leave a place before. He probably hasn’t. ‘’You can't kick me out! I'm the father of the groom!’’
Gomez's expression darken. ‘’I can and I will.’’
Mr. Thorpe turned to his son, begging for his help although he put himself in this situation. ‘’Xavier, you can’t let him kick me out.’’
In response, your husband turned his gaze away from his father, his expression tightening. ‘’The Addams have been more of a family to me than you ever were,’’ he said quietly. ‘’I...I don’t need you here.’’

Check out my masterlist for more!
After the house was cleaned up, and your parents had been dropped back at their hotel, Bradley had you tucked against his chest in the kitchen.
"Tomorrow. Holy shit," he whispered. "I can't believe we're getting married tomorrow."
You were giddy, practically vibrating in his arms. "Let's go over the checklist. I can't believe everyone fell for our little white lie."
Bradley kissed your forehead and never stopped touching you as you and he went down the list together. "Did you call the caterer yesterday?" you asked, pen poised over item number seven.
"Yep, dinner, drinks and cake are all set," he confirmed, and you smirked to yourself, because he had also been duped. You couldn't wait to give him his last wedding gift.
"I think that's it then," you confirmed. "I filed the permits. Mav is ready. We are mostly packed for the honeymoon. And everyone else thinks it's a regular day." He scooped you up into his arms and carried you to your bedroom.
"I don't think I have ever been this excited for anything before," he said, setting you down on the bed and climbing in next to you.
"You have to go sleep in the other room," you informed him as he kissed along your collarbone.
His lips froze on you. "What are you talking about, Baby Girl?"
"It's tradition! We're not supposed to see each other the night before or at all tomorrow until we actually get married!"
"Yeah, we're not doing that, Sweetheart." He continued to kiss you as you wiggled away from him, laughing.
"Come on, Roo."
"Listen, I'm not saying we need to have sex, but I'm not sleeping in the other bedroom when you're in here."
You glared at him and kept scooting away when he tried to touch you until he heaved a deep sigh and climbed out of bed. "Fine. I'll be in the other bedroom. Banished without even fucking up. I'll consider this husband training."
You laughed and stood to give him a kiss before he left. "You're going to be the perfect husband, Roo. You already are. I love you."
"I love you, Baby Girl."
"I can't wait to marry you."
He stroked your cheek with his thumb and smiled. "Me too, Mrs. Bradshaw."
Then you shoved him out of the room and started laying out all of your lingerie for the next day. You had someone coming over to do your hair and makeup in the morning, and you wanted to be organized. When you unzipped the garment bag containing your dress for a final peek, you jumped up and down and squealed quietly. It was perfect. And Bradley was perfect. And your little scheme was working out perfectly.
You got yourself ready for bed and climbed in alone. Tramp must have followed Bradley to the other bedroom, so you settled in and tried to fall asleep. It was quiet, and the bed was comfortable, but when Bradley wasn't with you, it reminded you of his deployments. You rolled over onto your back and thought about how pretty the view would be tomorrow, but you were too cold in the bed without him. You rolled onto your stomach in his spot and pretended you were laying on him. But it wasn't working, because while his pillow smelled like him, nothing was as comfortable to lay on as Bradley's warm shoulder.
"You're ridiculous," you groaned, flipping your lamp back on and grabbing your glasses. You walked through the living room and into the other bedroom and watched Tramp and Bradley both perk up when you said, "Roo?"
"What's wrong?" he asked, propping himself up on his elbow.
You bit your lip and whispered, "I miss you. Will you come back to bed?"
He was out from under the blanket and walking toward you in just his underwear immediately, and then he scooped you up in his arms without another word. Tramp trailed behind him as he carried you back to your bed. He took off your glasses and tucked you in as Tramp curled up in his own bed. Then Bradley turned off the lamp and climbed in on his side, and you were on top of him in an instant with your head on his shoulder.
"I didn't like you being here but not being with me," you whispered, kissing his warm skin while he laced his fingers with yours.
"Please don't make me sleep alone unless I'm deployed."
You snuggled in and closed your eyes, finally feeling calm and comfortable. "Never."
-----------------------------
Bradley woke up to you draped across his body, enjoying the sound of your deep, even breathing. He was going to marry you today. Tears stung at his eyes at the thought of you in a white dress putting a ring on his finger. When you started to stir, you looked up at him and smiled.
"Happy wedding day," you whispered.
"Happy best day of my life, Sweetheart."
Your sleepy laughter filled the room as you sat up and kissed him. "You need to get dressed and leave so I can get ready."
Bradley grumbled but did as he was told while you made breakfast. Then he sat at the dining room table with you on his lap wearing nothing but his UVA shirt while you ate eggs covered in hot sauce. Occasionally you tore off a bit of your toast and fed it to Tramp as he begged next to the chair. Bradley wanted his life with you to last forever. He couldn't get enough of this.
"Hey," he whispered and you turned to look at him with a piece of toast halfway to your parted lips. "It's just you and me, Baby Girl. Forever."
You smiled and set the toast down before wrapping your arms around his neck. "Me and you."
Before Bradley got changed in the extra bedroom and left, he put both wedding bands in his pocket and made sure his phone was charged and loaded with the correct playlist. Then he told you which parking spot he would be waiting in with the Bronco.
"I'll be there, Roo," you promised, kissing him so sweetly he was having a hard time making himself leave. But he knew the sooner he let you get ready, the sooner you'd meet him and everyone else in your wedding dress. So he pulled out of the driveway with a smile on his face.
-------------------------
Your hair was done. Your makeup was done. You were slipping into the outrageously expensive satin panties with Mrs. Bradshawembroidered on the front when you caught sight of yourself in the mirror. You looked amazing. This is what Bradley was going to see later when he brought you home. You cupped your breasts in your hands and turned to really look at yourself. You weren't perfect, but he loved you.
You were wearing the new earrings Bradley had given you, and Carole's beautiful veil would be your something old. The blue Mrs. Bradshaw stitching in your lingerie would cover that element of the tradition, but you still had to figure out how to incorporate the keychain from Jake, even if he had no idea that's why you demanded he let you borrow it.
When you checked the time on your phone, you nearly screamed. You were running late. You got your dress on as quickly as you could, struggling with the zipper. Then you took the time to lace your high heels up your calves and tie the ribbons in pretty bows for Bradley to undo later. You grabbed your shoes for the reception and Jake's keychain, and then you were ready to go.
When you pulled up to the parking lot, you saw Mav and Bradley next to the Bronco with your parents. Mav came running over to move the orange traffic cones so you could pull in, and he had a huge smile on his face. Then you parked two spots down from the Bronco, leaving one empty one in between both cars.
When you opened your door, Bradley was right there with a smile on his face and tears in his eyes. "Baby Girl," he sighed, helping you out of your car and into his arms. He looked at you and then held you close, whispering, "I am so lucky." You let him hold you as you ran your red fingernails along his yellow and red tropical print shirt while he brushed your ear with his lips. "So lucky. I love you so much."
You melted against him as his big, warm hands spread across your bare back. "I love you, Roo. Forever." Then he took a step away from you and ran his hands along the fabric of your wedding dress.
"Do you know how badly I wanted to look in that garment bag for the past month? That damn thing was taunting me in the closet, but I had fun imagining what you'd look like today." He licked his lips and ran his thumb along the lace between your breasts. "God, you look amazing. I couldn't even imagine anything this perfect."
"It's just for you." Your words had a rosy color creeping along his cheeks as he ran his hand down your body to the exact location of your tattoo.
You could hear your mom crying next to the Bronco, and when you kissed Bradley one last time and glanced over at your parents, you almost laughed. Your dad was wearing an old Naval Academy shirt with his swim trunks, and your mom had on a sundress with her sunglasses perched up on top of her head. Bradley gently pushed you toward them, and then they were both pulling you into their arms.
"I'm sorry we lied and told you it was just a beach day today," you said, trying not to start crying yourself.
"That's okay. We don't mind," your dad said with a soft laugh.
Your mom held your face in both hands. "When Bradley picked us up in white linen pants, I was a little concerned. And then when he stopped at a florist and asked me to hold onto your bouquet while he drove, I started crying. And I haven't stopped since. Because I'm so happy."
When she finally released you and clung to your dad instead, you hugged Mav who whispered, "You look beautiful. Just as pretty as Carole did on her wedding day. The Bradshaw men have impeccable taste."
You tried not to cry as you ran your fingers along Carole's veil where it fell back along your shoulders. "I wish I could have met them," you told Maverick, and then you really felt like crying.
But then your dad asked, "Not that I don't love it, but why exactly did you pick a parking lot for your wedding venue?"
Bradley wrapped his arm around your waist and said, "This parking spot is where we had our first kiss."
You looked out past the front of your car at the cliffs beach and the Pacific Ocean and thought about that fateful day early last September. "I kissed you."
Bradley nodded. "You owed me after all the mixed signals, Baby Girl."
"The Bronco was parked in this spot," you said, tapping your toe on the crumbling pavement of the empty parking space.
"No. The Bronco was parked there," he replied, pointing to where it was currently parked.
"What? No, it was definitely this spot, Roo."
"You're so wrong, Sweetheart."
You opened your mouth to argue further, but then you watched an SUV pull in right over the cones, followed by Phoenix screaming your names at the top of her lungs out the driver's window.
"Are you fucking kidding me right now?!" she screeched as she jumped out of her car while it was practically still moving and ran over and right into Bradley's arms.
He hugged his best friend who was wearing a sports bra, athletic shorts, and flip flops. Then Bob hopped out of her car as well and rushed over with his nose covered in zinc sunblock and his sunglasses clipped onto his regular glasses. He looked around as your mom handed you the bouquet of red and yellow flowers you ordered. "Are you getting married? Today?" he asked quietly, wiping tears from his eyes.
"Yes!" you said, and Bob hugged you so hard, he got sunblock in your hair. And then Nat started crying as you handed her a smaller bouquet that matched yours while your mom fixed your hair.
"I literally never thought this was going to happen," Nat sobbed at you. "I was still afraid you might change your mind, because he's kind of a nightmare, but he's so fucking pussy whipped for you, I can't even think straight. Oh my god, I'm sorry about my language," she muttered to your parents while she wiped her tears on Bob's shirt. "I can't believe you said it was a beach day, and now I have to wear this in your wedding photos!" she said, hitting Bradley with the flowers.
Everything was turning into a commotion as Maverick moved the bent traffic cones for Penny and Amelia to pull in along with Payback, Fanboy and Coyote. Maverick also had to keep waving people past, even though there was a sign hanging up with the county seal that said PERMIT FOR PRIVATE EVENT- NOVEMBER 28TH 4 PM TO 9 PM.
You laughed at everyone's attire and shocked faces. Penny and Amelia were wearing matching Hard Deck tee shirts and the boys all had on bathing suits.
"It's a wedding! It's not a beach day!" Fanboy yelled when he saw you and Bradley. "It's actually a fucking wedding!"
You buried your laughter against Bradley's chest and wiped your sweaty palms on his shirt. He kissed the top of your head through the veil as the guys all made a fuss over you.
Jake, Maria, and Cam were still missing, and you nervously worked Jake's keychain in amongst your flowers as Maverick checked the time.
"Do you want to get started now?" he asked you and Bradley. "Or should we wait a bit longer?"
"We need to wait," you replied quickly while Bradley rubbed your back.
"Hey, can you call Hangman?" Bradley asked Coyote who immediately took his phone out. But then you saw Jake pull past and run directly over all the cones to get in the parking lot.
"You lied to me!" Jake shouted as he parked and walked over to the ceremony spot overlooking the ocean. "You are both liars! This is a scam! Mexico? Really?" he asked, playfully shoving Bradley before shaking his hand. And then he gave you a bear hug that had you gasping for air.
"Thanks for giving me my something borrowed," you said with a smile when he released you. Jake examined your bouquet when you held it up, and he kissed your cheek when he saw his keychain.
"I'd tell you to keep it, but I think you have to give it back now."
Everyone was shifting around a bit impatiently. Nat was putting Coyote's shirt on as the photographer got to work. You were looking up and down at every car that passed, hoping to see your friends. And Bradley kept his arm wrapped around you, reassuring you that they could all wait as long as you wanted to before starting.
When you looked up at Bradley's soppy expression and puppy dog eyes, you sighed, not wanting to wait any longer. "Let's do this," you told him, about to hand Maria's bouquet to Jake to act as your maid of honor. But your friends didn't let you down. You watched Maria drive up, and Fanboy moved the crumpled cones so she could pull in. She had Cam in the car with her, and they were both smiling.
"My flight was delayed because of snow! On your wedding day!" Cam called out, walking over to you in jeans and a flannel shirt. "Why didn't you tell me?" he asked, pulling you into a hug. "I would have flown back from Pittsburgh last night."
Maria joined in the hug as she cried. "You picked a wedding date after all." She held her bouquet and stood next to you while Nat in Coyote's shirt stood next to Bradley. Mav shuffled some papers in his hands and stood with this back to the beautiful vista as everyone else crowded into the parking space between the two cars.
But you just looked at Bradley who was very clearly on the verge of tears. Every time he swallowed, the bob of his Adam's apple had you biting your lip, probably ruining your lipstick in the process. You had more love in your heart for him than you knew what to do with, and as you took his left hand in your right one, Maverick cleared his throat.
"This is nice," Mav said, smiling at everyone. "Small and perfect. These two knew what they were doing."
"Fucking liars," Jake whispered loudly, making everyone laugh.
"Yeah, well," Mav agreed with a grin, "it somehow ended up working out. And they didn't give me anything to work with, rather they told me I could say whatever I wanted before they exchanged their vows, so I will make this brief." Mav turned to you and smiled, saying, "You and Bradley are so very lucky to have your parents here today. You are about to marry the son of the best friend I ever had. I knew Goose's opinions on every topic imaginable, because he did not know how to keep his mouth shut. And I can tell you that he would have absolutely loved you. But that love would have been a mere fraction of the unyielding adoration that Carole would have had for the wife of her only son."
You sobbed as tears filled your eyes, and Bradley leaned down to kiss your cheek. "And Bradley, I'm going to say word for word what your dad would say if he were here right now. 'You pulled off something incredible here, kid. You're following right in my footsteps. She is way too good for you. Do not fuck this up.'"
Bradley laughed as Mav reached out to shake his hand. "You're right Mav. I think he would have actually said that."
Once everyone's laughter had quieted down again, you took a deep breath and looked out at the ocean, letting the warm breeze help dry your eyes. When you looked back at Bradley, your lip was quivering a bit, but he was grinning at you. "Can I say my vows first?" he asked. "I'm really excited."
"Yeah, Roo," you whispered, handing your flowers to Maria so you could wipe your eyes with the tissue Mav handed you. "You can go first."
You handed the tissue to Maria, and Bradley took both of your hands and pulled you closer to him until your body was skimming his. He reached up and ran his thumb across your cheek, and your eyes fluttered closed for a few seconds.
"Baby Girl. It's obvious to anyone who knows me that I was alone for a really long time," he told you, and you felt like it was just the two of you, having a conversation. "I made it my lifestyle, my personality for almost two decades. It was so much a part of my identity that I couldn't even recognize that I wasn't just alone, I was also lonely."
He took a deep breath and touched your lip before returning his hand to yours. "I never thought I could have the life I have now, because I didn't appreciate what I was missing out on. And then I met you... and holy shit, Sweetheart," he sighed, kissing your forehead. "I knew immediately that there was something there for me. Something different. Something important that I needed to pay attention to. I was in love with you before our first date. It was devastating. I had no idea what to do about it. What if you didn't love me back ever? What was I going to do then? How did people deal with this wonderful and horrible feeling? The fact that you said 'I love you' first? Baby Girl, that showed some real restraint on my part."
You laughed at the look of concern on his face, and then he was smiling at you like he always did. Like he'd never seen anything as wonderful as you. "You want to know what's kind of crazy?" he asked, and you saw Nat crying silently out of the corner of your eye. "It feels like I must have known you my whole life. When I count our relationship by months or years, it feels incorrect. It should be longer than that. It feels longer than that. Because you make every day feel full now. I wake up with a purpose, and I go to sleep with a purpose, and that purpose is you, Baby Girl."
It was getting hard to look at him through the tears in your eyes, and you thought you would get a headache if you kept smiling this much, but he continued.
"I get to spend my hours with you or thinking about you. I get to fill up every minute making plans with you. Every minute is made up of seconds where I get to hear your voice and listen to your ideas. And you're so smart and it's crazy that you love my back, because you make every day now worth those decades of feeling like I didn't deserve more.
"So this is my promise to you....my wedding vow. Baby Girl, I will try to make all of your years and days and hours and minutes and seconds as perfect as you make mine. I want to fill up all of that time with my love. I will try to make every second count, but I also know that all the time in this world still won't be enough with you, Sweetheart. But I'm going to enjoy every single moment that I have."
You were crying softly as you buried your face in the collar of his floral print shirt and breathed him in. He held you tight against him as he whispered, "I love you so much," next to your ear and kissed you there.
When you finally looked up at him, he kissed your lips as you said, "You made me cry, and now I have to say my vows." With a soft smile he ran his fingers across your cheeks to clear away your tears, and you took a deep breath. "Roo. On our first date, I asked you to tell me something embarrassing about yourself."
His eyes went a little wide. "Please don't make me say it here."
You laughed at him and shook your head. "I won't. But when I asked you that night, you told me! And it was funny and charming, and I thought you were adorable. And then you let me keep asking you for more. I wanted to learn everything about you. I still do. Because you make it easy. You never make me feel like I'm bugging you. You always make me feel like you have time to talk to me. And you have always been honest with me, telling me I can ask you anything."
Bradley nodded and whispered, "I love talking to you."
You kissed his lips and then continued. "You're the most open and honest person I have ever met. I always know where I stand with you. Do you know how good that makes me feel? To always be someone's highest priority? To always be your highest priority? And you always let me know your expectations. Of course, that means I knew you intended to reach our wedding day after we'd been dating for approximately two weeks." Bradley laughed as he swiped some tears from his eyes, and you were a little started to hear your friends and family laughing as well; everyone else had drifted into the back of your mind as you focused on Bradley.
"Roo, I'd rather have that kind of transparency with you than anything else with anyone else. You make me feel like it's okay to be myself. And I believe you when you tell me something. And I love that you trust me, too."
"I do, Sweetheart," he promised. "I'd trust you with my life," he said, his voice catching on the last word as released your left hand to wipe away more tears.
You took a deep breath before saying, "I can't wait to keep learning all of the little intricacies about what makes you tick. Because for someone who has been through so much in such a short amount of time, you are a fighter when you need to be. But you never make me fight for the things I deserve. Like your love, and your patience, and your honesty. You love me so much," you whispered as Bradley covered his eyes as his shoulders shook. "You protect me, and I protect you. Because you're right, all of our minutes and hours spent walking Tramp or making dinner or just having a lazy day...they are so important, because you're with me." You voice was quiet and shaky as you took a deep breath while Bradley met your eyes with his tear filled ones.
"So, Roo, I vow to be as open and forthcoming as you are. But that's not going to be easy, since you're amazing at it, but I'll try. Because you're it for me, Bradley Bradshaw."
Bradley took your face in both of his hands and looked at you in awe. "How can you love me that much?" he asked you, his voice rough with unshed tears.
You reached up and stroked his wrists softly as he held you. "You make it so easy, Bradley." Then his lips were on your forehead and then your nose before they found yours. He kissed you so sweetly as his hands gently went to the back of your neck.
Maverick cleared his throat, and you jumped a few inches as Bradley pulled back from the kiss.
"We haven't even gotten to the kissing part yet," he said, wiping tears from his own eyes.
"Well then hurry up," Bradley told him, letting his hands slide down between your neck and the veil and along your body until he was holding your hands once again.
"Yeah, okay," Maverick agreed, and you turned to find everyone was smiling and wiping tears from their eyes. Nat was dabbing her face with Coyote's shirt and your parents were holding each other. "Do you have rings to exchange?"
"Yes," Bradley replied as he reached in his pocket and then held out his palm with both wedding bands. You carefully took his ring between your thumb and index finger with a smile.
"You can go ahead and put the rings on each other's fingers," Maverick said, and Bradley went first. The way the gold band matched up with your engagement ring had more tears coming to your eyes. "Would you like to say anything else?" Maverick asked.
Bradley softly kissed your finger where both rings were, and he told you, "I love you. I love my wife."
You smiled and slipped his ring on his hand as you told him. "I love my husband!"
Maverick rubbed his hands together and said, "Somehow the state of California has made me legally allowed to say this: I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may kiss!"
-------------------------
Bradley reached for you so fast, wrapping his hands around your waist to settle low on your back. The veil his mom wore the day she married his dad was skimming his fingers as he pulled you closer. Your eyes were wide and trusting, your lips parted in the most beautiful smile he had ever seen. The remainder of the tears you had shed while Bradley poured his love into his wedding vows to you were dry on your cheeks, and he was about to make you his wife.
"Somehow the state of California has made me legally allowed to say this: I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may kiss!"
Bradley kissed you as your palms rested on his chest before wrapping around his neck. He kissed you long and hard as everyone cheered and hollered, and when he broke the kiss because you were both smiling too much, you chased his lips for more. You pulled him close again as your fingers skimmed through his hair. So he kissed you until you were both laughing, and he held you close to his side as you turned to face everyone. Your head came to rest on his shoulder, and he kissed your forehead.
Bradley was vaguely aware of the photographer and the fact that the catering van was now running over the orange cones that Nat and Jake had previously decimated. He could feel Nat reaching up to kiss his cheek, and he watched your parents both give you a hug. But he never stopped touching you. His perfect wife.
You were holding your flowers again, and every couple seconds, you reached up, bumping him with the bouquet before giving him a kiss. This had been the perfect day for the secret parking lot wedding of Bradley's dreams. And somehow as the sun fell low on the horizon, you looked even more beautiful to him.
"I can't stop smiling, Roo," you told him, hitting his cheek again with the yellow and red flowers as you leaned up to kiss him.
"This has been the best day of my life, and it's not even over yet." Bradley ran his thumb over his wedding band as you wrapped your arms around him. "You're my wife. You're my fucking wife, Baby Girl!" You laughed against him as he announced to everyone gathered in the parking spot, "I can't believe she married me!"
"Neither can we!" Nat replied, and Bradley let everyone's hugs and words of congratulations wash over him as you held him in your arms.
Bradley watched the caterers start to carry coolers and trays of food down the rocks to the beach as if they did this every day. You had your fingers laced through his as you hugged Jake with your free arm. Bradley watched as he kissed your cheek and whispered something to you that made you laugh, and then Jake was patting him on the shoulder.
"Congratulations, Bradshaw," he drawled with a smirk. "I gotta say, I never thought I'd be so happy to have a girl choose you over me, but here we are."
"If she's too good for me, then she's way too good for you," Bradley replied with a laugh. Then he pulled you into his arms as Jake started to help your mom down the rocks to the sandy beach below the parking lot.
As everyone was heading down along with the caterers, leaving you mostly alone, Bradley pulled you in for another kiss. "I can't get enough of you, Mrs. Bradshaw," he whispered, running his hands all over you. "God, you look incredible."
You moaned softly into his mouth, and he pushed you gently against the passenger door of the Bronco. "You like my wedding dress?" you asked between kisses.
"You look like a fucking goddess, Baby Girl. I can't believe you're mine."
Your fingers trailed along the buttons of his newest Hawaiian print shirt as he kissed your neck and let his hand drift down to the slit in your dress. When his palm came to rest against your bare thigh, you sighed. "I'm all yours, Roo."
"Let's go home," he suggested, only half joking. "Get a jump start on the night?"
You laughed as he rubbed his mustache along your neck. "No way. I want my confetti cake and the little bottles of pink champagne," you told him as his hand wrapped around to the back of your thigh. "But after that...I see no reason why we can't go home. Now help me change out of these shoes."
Bradley helped you climb up into the passenger seat, and he started to untie the ribbons that wound up your calves. "These are pretty," he grunted, gently running his hands down your legs as he took your shoes off for you. "Will you put them back on for me later?"
"Will you actually take five minutes to help me lace them back up my legs just so you can fuck me in them?" you asked him sweetly, and he groaned.
"Well, maybe not for round one, Sweetheart, but for round two or three, yes."
Your eyes went wide. "How late are we staying up tonight?"
He scoffed. "We only get one wedding night."
After he retrieved your flat shoes from the backseat of your car, Bradley helped you slip them on. But instead of climbing out of the Bronco when he reached for you, he felt you pull him in closer.
"What does this remind you of, Roo?" You ran your fingers over the scars on his neck and cheek before pushing your fingers up into his hair. Then you pulled him closer and closer until you pressed your lips against his. Bradley drew little circles along your waist through your dress with his thumbs, and he parted your lips with his and tasted your tongue.
You moaned softly into his mouth as he trailed his lips across your jaw, whispering, "Our first kiss, Baby Girl. Right in this parking spot."
"Mmm," you hummed as he kissed your neck. "It was the next parking spot over, but it doesn't matter, Roo." He kissed along the tops of your breasts, as you whispered, "We did it. We pulled off the secret parking lot wedding. You're my husband."
He wrapped his hand around your waist and kissed you hard. "Let's get down there, Baby Girl. The sooner we finish celebrating here, the sooner I can celebrate with my wife at home."

forever | r.c.
synopsis: in which you finally get your happily ever after
my masterlist
"Will you marry me?"
That was the question that had changed your life a couple of months ago.
Your long-term boyfriend, Rafe Cameron, had finally got the courage to ask you to marry him, after being in a relationship for more than 4 years together.
He had saved up money from his job to buy you the ring with his own earned money, not with the money his family had.
The beautiful diamond ring has been beautifully sitting on your ring finger ever since the night he got on one knee, there being very few occasions when you would take it off. You often found yourself just staring at the jewel on your finger, mesmerized by the diamond and what it signified for you and Rafe.
A first step to your forever life together, side by side.
Planning for your wedding had been the most stressful, yet most beautiful period of your life up to that point. Getting to organize the wedding of your dreams with Rafe was magical, building up the ever growing excitement for the fast-approaching wedding date.
Before you knew it, you were waking up on the morning of your wedding day, stretching out to find Rafe's side of the bed empty and cold.
You sighed, remembering that your families had insisted that you two don't see each other on your wedding day before the aisle, and you didn't want to admit it, but you missed seeing Rafe already and you had barely just opened your eyes.
A ding from your phone made you snap out of your thoughts and pick it up, smiling once you saw that it was a text from Rafe.
good morning angel, i hope you slept well <3 i know you're probably sad we didn't get to wake up next to each other, i'm just as hurt by that. but look on the bright side, in a couple of hours we'll finally be married and wake up next to each other every morning for the rest of our lives. i love you and i can't wait to see you walking down the aisle to me <33
Your heart could have exploded just because of that message, butterflies erupting in your stomach. Even after so many years of knowing each other and being together, Rafe still managed to make you shy and flustered every time.
You quickly typed out a response before you heard a soft knock on your bedroom door.
"Honey? Are you awake?" the quiet and muffled voice of your mother asked from behind the door, prompting you to get up and open the door.
"Hi mom" your smile was contagious, but your mother's was 10 times more so than yours.
Ever since she learned the news of your engagement, she couldn't stop talking about it and smiling constantly, over the moon that her daughter was finally getting married.
"Morning honey. How are you feeling?" she quickly looked left and right to make sure Rafe wasn't anywhere near you before she walked in and closed the door behind her.
Your mother and Rafe's sisters were tasked with guarding you from seeing Rafe and your brother along wit your father were tasked with keeping him away from you.
A task that was going to prove to be difficult because Rafe couldn't stand being away from you for long.
"Nervous, but excited at the same time. I just can't believe I'm really getting married in a few hours" you were giddy, holding your mother's hands excitedly.
"Oh, my sweet girl. You're all grown up" your mother's voice started quivering and tears suddenly appeared in her eyes, making you shush her and bring her in a hug.
"Mom, please don't cry. You're going to make me cry too" you said as you pouted, hugging your mother close.
Ever since your mother had met Rafe, she had been sure that he was going to be the man you were going to end up marrying. Fast-forward, turns out she had been right.
Several hours later, with the help of your mother, Wheezie and Sarah, you were all glammed up in your dress, getting ready for your father to come and get you.
A knock on your door signaled that it was time for the ceremony, making your stomach churn with nerves.
"Are you ready sweetheart?" your father asked you as he gave you your arm, standing in front of the still-closed doors of the church.
You let out a big sigh and nodded, giving him a convincing smile. You held the bouquet in your other hand, feet tapping against the floor impatiently.
Once you heard the music starting and the doors slowly started to open, you knew the moment had finally come. Everyone in the room turned around to look at you, big gasps echoing through the big church.
However, your eyes were only on Rafe, who was waiting for you at the alter with your brother and Topper by his side.
"Hi" you mouthed to him once you made eye contact, making him smile widely and wiping a tear that had escaped from his eyes.
The walk towards Rafe felt like an eternity to you, when in reality it had only been a minute. You had got lost in Rafe's eyes, your attention only focusing in on him.
"Take care of my girl" your father told your soon-to-be husband once you reached the alter and Rafe took your hand from your father.
"I promise, sir" he said, gently helping you up the few steps.
"Hello, everyone" the reverend began speaking. "We are gathered here today to celebrate the marriage between these two exceptional young people, Y/N and Rafe. I can see how excited the bride and the groom are, so I won't make this any longer than it should be. Y/N, Rafe, have you prepared your vows?" you both nodded, and then the reverend motioned for you to go first.
You let out a breath, suddenly a little bit nervous. But as you looked into Rafe's eyes, you suddenly relaxed and realized there was nothing to be nervous about, not when it came to him.
"Rafe, my love, I can't even begin to explain to you how much I love and appreciate you. You came into my life at a point when I didn't believe that love was real, that I was worthy of being so passionately and irrevocably loved by someone. But you showed me what real love is, you taught me to push myself and achieve every goal I set for myself. You always push me to be my best self and you have helped me grow as a person and mature. You always know what to say, you can always read me even when I don't want to say anything, you know me better than I know myself. I promise to love and to cherish you from this forward and until the day we are no longer going to be on this planet. I love you and I can't wait to see what the rest of our lives looks like" tears had started pouring down yours and Rafe's cheeks, making everyone in the audience also tear up.
"How can I top that?" Rafe joked, making your families laugh as well. "Y/N, the love I have for you is consuming, it's so strong I don't even know what to do with it sometimes. You have helped me become a better man, take responsibilities for my actions and be more understanding of life. You showed me that I had a purpose in this world and that made me realize my life's purpose is to love you and to show you how much you mean to me. I know I'm not the easiest person to be with, but I'm trying to be better for you every single day, to show you that I deserve to be married to you because you only deserve the best. I promise to love you and care for you for the rest of our lives, keep you safe and I will make it my life's mission to make sure you never lack anything. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life by your side, baby. I love you so much"
Everyone in the room was crying by the end, including your father who you had never seen crying before.
"The rings?" the reverend turned to your brother, who fished them out of his pocket.
"Y/N, do you take Rafe Cameron to be your lawfully wedded husband, to live together in holy matrimony, to love him, to honor him, to comfort him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"
"I do" you proudly exclaimed and slid the ring on Rafe's left hand.
"Rafe, do you take Y/N Y/L/N to be your lawfully wedded wife, to live together in holy matrimony, to love her, to honor her, to comfort her, and to keep her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"
"I do" Rafe slid the ring on your left hand as well, taking both of your hands in his after.
"By the power invested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride" Rafe didn't waste another second before he pulled you to him, taking your face in his hands and kissing you deeply.
The whole room started cheering and clapping, but you didn't hear anything else around you.
You only felt Rafe kissing you, sharing your first moment as husband and wife.
When you both pulled away, whispers of 'I love you' were shared between you, quiet so nobody could hear.
And as you both walked out of the church hand-in-hand, you knew that you were ready for anything life had to offer you as long as you had each other.
Mr. and Mrs. Cameron against the world, forever.

Rhaenyra POV
I was more than nervous. I never thought I would feel nervous on my wedding day, I always imagined this day as a dark day full of misfortune. But it was the opposite of what I imagined.
I had barely been able to close my eyes for more than half an hour, being awakened by the excitement and nerves of the day.
Today would be the day I would officially and publicly join Y/n Strong. Today I would become his betrothed officially and he would be mine, today we would unite as one in front of the gods and I couldn't be more excited.
The preparations for the wedding had been quick. Just two weeks ago I was arguing with my father about the unfounded rumors of his former hand and fighting not to be forced to marry Ser Leanor Velaryon.
And after two hectic weeks, due to the organization of the wedding, the banquet, the dress and everything that goes into the preparations for the big day. The big day had arrived.
In these two weeks my father put another personal guard on me and I hadn't been able to see Y/n more than passingly during this time. But today I would finally see him, I would see him walking towards me and at the end of the day I will be in his arms again.
Although I can't help a bitter feeling, when I am aware that I will experience one of the happiest days of my life and that my mother will not be with me on such an important day.
I would like to be able to live this with her, listen to her talk about how happy she is for me and telling me that she was right; like I did when I was a girl.
I would like to know that you are proud of me, for having left behind the negative idea of getting married and having chosen the best man in all the kingdoms. I would like to have her by my side to calm my nerves, hug me and whisper to me that everything will be fine.
But even though she is not by my side, I know that she watches me from the heavens and that she is happy for me.
Nora: Are you nervous, princess? - my trusted servant asks me, getting me out of my head.
Rhaenyra: Terrified.- I admit with a nervous laugh.
Nora: Don't worry, everything will be fine.- she assures me, placing her hands on my shoulders and leaving a reassuring squeeze.
Nora has been my personal servant since I can remember, always by my side and taking care of me. She was something of a mother figure, especially after my mother's death and Alicent's betrayal.
Rhaenyra: I know.- I nod, taking a deep breath. -But I can't help but feel nervous.- I admit, biting my lip, seeing my reflection in the mirror and realizing that I'm completely ready.
Nora: Nerves are good.- she assures me with a smile. -That means you care.- she explains to me without removing the smile from her face and I return the gesture.
We both remain silent, while Nora helps me with the last details of my hair and a doubt invades my head.
Rhaenyra: Am I doing the right thing? - I let the question hang in the air without stopping to look at my reflection in the mirror.
Nora: Do you want to marry Lord Strong? - she asks me back after a few seconds of silence.
I remain silent at her question. My mind immediately searches for every existing memory of every conversation, every touch, every word, every gesture, every interaction, every sensation and every detail of Y/n Strong towards me.
The fact that with a mere smile from him my day becomes happier, how with each of his gestures towards me they make me feel protected and loved, just like the feeling of his worked hands leave a path of softness. and delicate all over my body. About how every tiny thing he does for and for me makes my heart race in an exorbitant way.
Rhaenyra: With all my soul.- I respond bluntly with total sincerity and with a smile completely flooding my face.
Nora: Then you're doing the right thing.- she assures me, placing the last ruby in my hair and taking a step back. -You're ready, princess.- she informs me with a slight smile.
Rhaenyra: How do I look? - I ask her, turning towards her and biting my lip with some insecurity.
Nora: Perfect.- she answers me with a smile full of sincerity.
Rhaenyra: Do you think Y/n is going to think the same? - I ask, feeling my body vibrate in anticipation of her response.
Nora: No.- she answers and my shoulders fall at it. -He won't be able to think of what to say to you with how dazzled you are going to leave him.- she finishes answering me, making my spirits rise and a warm sensation settle in my chest.
Rhaenyra: Okay.- I whisper, trying to calm myself down.
Nora: Ready for the first day of seven? - she asks me calmly.
Rhaenyra: I'm ready.- I assure with a sincere smile.
My feet walk calmly but with a certain nervousness through the castle, feeling the bustle of the people closer with every step I take and the moment of seeing my betrothed becomes more and more imminent.
My steps resonate in my ears and add to a symphony with my heart. Each heartbeat is accompanied by a step and an echoing sound every time my foot hits the ground.
The symphony of my steps along with the beating of my heart stop when I land in front of the entrance to the dining room and the place is full of people for the celebration.
This time it is my breathing, along with the racing heartbeat and bustle of the people that create a symphony of different sounds. But the symphony ends when I hear my name announced to the room.
With a nervous smile, I begin to descend the stairs at the entrance and watch as everyone gets up from their seats to greet me and congratulate me on the imminent event.
I just smiled at them in response and walked as quickly as possible towards the table at the end of the room, where I can see my father standing and giving me a big smile.
Viserys: You look beautiful, daughter.- he says, grabbing my hands when I reach his side.
Rhaenyra: Thank you, father.- I thank him with a shy smile.
Viserys: I'm sure Lord Y/n Strong will be enthralled as soon as he sees you. - He assures me, leaving a loving squeeze on my hands and helping me to what will be my chair during the celebration.
I sit on my father's left side, watching the big houses being announced as they enter the dining room and how the heads of said houses congratulate me on the nuptials as well as my father.
But holding back my smile and holding my tongue against any cruel comment becomes very difficult when Lord Jason Lannister makes an appearance.
But thank the gods, I don't have to endure it for long and it's thanks to the announcement I was most looking forward to.
Ser Harrold: Lord Lyonel Strong, lord of Harrenhal, former councilor of buildings and current hand of the king. - begins to announce. -His first son Ser Harwin Strong, city guard and future lord of Harrenhal. And his youngest son, Ser Y/n Strong, the future king consort.- finishes announcing, causing a wave of applause in their presence and I get up from my chair quickly.
I smile as i see my future husband walk towards me, appreciating every detail of his clothes and face as best as I can given our distance.
POV You
I swallow heavily, trying to calm my nerves and appear as composed as possible. But it is very difficult for me to see the princess looking at me and the sincere smile she gives me.
Everything falls silent, as my father and brother bow before the king and I do the same when it is my turn.
When I stand up, the princess turns and begins to circle the table. I look at my father and he gives me a sign that I can move towards her. Which I do immediately, walking towards where the princess is and holding one of her hands delicately when we are facing each other.
Rhaenyra: Betrothed .- she greets me with a smile full of life and a certain point of fun.
Y/n: Betrothed .- I greeted, without taking my eyes off of hers and leaving a kiss on her soft hand.
The entire room erupts in applause again, but my attention is only on the woman in front of me and her incredible beauty.
Rhaenyra gently pulls at our hands to follow her and places us in front of the chairs we will occupy at the banquet. My father greets the king and takes his place on the right side of the table, occupying his seat as a hand. While my brother Harwin stands next to me and Larys in the corner.
Once the family is in front of their seats, we all begin to sit down and I lean slightly towards my betrothed's ear.
Y/n: You look like a goddess.- I whisper affectionately, noticing how her smile widened and how her cheeks took on a more pinkish color.
She turns her face to answer me, but her words remain in her mouth as everything falls silent at the sudden presence of her uncle, Prince Daemon.
But as soon as he sits down at the table, the place fills again with conversations and the clatter of dishes.
The king rises to give a speech about the union of our houses, but the room falls silent again due to a new presence in the room. But this time it is none other than the queen who enters and dressed in green.
I look at my brother, remembering something he once told me about the Hightowers and that is that when they rise to war the color green is the color they use to summon their bannermen.
But no one but the Hightowers themselves stand up to applaud their presence and color of clothing. The rest remain silent as they walk and approach the royal table. She congratulates us with an evidently forced smile and sits down in the seat to the king's right.
Once seated, the king begins his speech again and congratulates us on the union of our houses, as well as my union with his daughter as king consort. With the speech finished, the music begins to play and the laughter of the people fills the room.
Rhaenyra: Do you want to dance? - she asks me excitedly.
Y/n: Umm I don't know, will you step on me during the dance? - I ask her amused.
Rhaenyra: Maybe.- she answers me with some malice.
Y/n: Then I'll have to take that risk.- i smile, lifting me up and stretching my hand towards her.
She accepts my gesture and with my help gets up from her seat. We walk hand in hand to the center of the room, where there is a space for dancing, and we start dancing.
As soon as we finish the first dance, more people join the floor and start us dancing a new one.
Y/n: Are you happy? - I ask her when we are close enough.
Rhaenyra: With you? Or with the wedding? - she asks me back with a smile.
Y/n: With the wedding.- I respond amused. -I hope she's happy with me, because otherwise I don't know what we're doing here.- I say and she laughs at my comment.
Rhaenyra: You're right, with you you don't need to ask me.- she assures me. -But I would be happier if the wedding was more intimate and quick.- she answers with a grimace.
Y/n: Does seven days seem like a lot to you? - I ask, feigning surprise. -And here I was thinking it was a short wait.- I joke earning a laugh from her.
Rhaenyra: Seven days are too many to be able to call me your wife.- she admits with a smile and I return it.
Y/n: What's seven days with the rest of our lives.- I whisper with a smile before moving on to a new partner.
I continue with the dance, but some screams and a brawl at the end of the room cause everything to stop. I look everywhere, trying to find my betrothed and get her away from any possible danger.
Y/n: Harwin!- I call my brother when I see him among the people. -I can't find Rhaenyra!- I shout nervously, pushing people and trying to find a silver hair.
Harwin: Look to the left and I'll look to the right! - he shouts in response, pushing each person in his path and looking for my betrothed.
Rhaenyra: Y/n! Y/n!- I hear her calling me and look to my left. -Y/n!- I listen again and see her on the floor against one of the chairs.
Y/n: Rhaenyra! - I shout, pushing anyone who gets in front of me. -Are you okay?- I ask, bending down and holding her face in my hands.
Rhaenyra: Get me out of here, please.- she begs me with fear in her eyes.
I place a delicate kiss on her forehead, before helping her up and hugging her against my body.
Y/n: Harwin! Harwin, help! - I shout and it doesn't take more than a few seconds before my older brother is in front of us. -Help me take her to the king.- I ask and he nods.
Harwin: Stick to my back.- he orders me, turning around and I do what he tells me.
I place Rhaenyra between them for her safety. My brother leads the way and I make sure no one touches her in any way.
The king quickly hugs her when we get to the table and she is safe from whatever is happening.
-------------------------------------------------- -------------------
I walk at a fast pace through the corridors of the castle, greeting all the nobles I meet along the way and trying to get to our room as soon as possible.
I was training with my brother, when one of the servants told me that Rhaenyra needed me right now and that it was urgent.
So I had started to run through the castle and try to get to my wife as soon as possible.
Y/n: Rhaenyra!- I exclaimed when I entered our chambers. -What happened? Are you okey? Is the baby okay? - I ask quickly, kneeling on the floor in front of the sofa where she is and I look at her worried.
Rhaenyra: No, calm down.- she tells me with a smile, placing her hand on my head and moving a strand of my hair behind my ear. -You have to cut your hair.- she comments calmly and I look at her confused.
Y/n: I don't understand anything.- I confusedly whisper. -The servant told me that you needed me urgently, I had thought that something had happened to you or the baby.- I commented trying to catch my breath.
Rhaenyra: The baby is fine and so am I.- she assures me, grabbing my hand and placing it on her swollen belly.
Y/n: So, why the urgency? - I ask, relaxing my body.
Rhaenyra: This is why.- she whispers and moves my hand from the center of her belly to one of her sides.
I look at her confused, but when she puts light pressure on her belly with our joined hands, something moves and I open my eyes in surprise. I stare at my wife's belly, completely surprised and excited.
I bring my face closer to the belly, placing one cheek on the fabric of the dress and gently pressing the belly again.
I can feel the movement of our baby again and I can't stop a tear from falling from my eyes.
Rhaenyra: Was it urgent? - she asks with some amusement in her voice.
Y/n: Very urgent.- I whisper still, without separating myself from her belly and feeling how her hands go into my hair.
Rhaenyra: As soon as I noticed it, I asked them to call you.- she whispers, stroking my hair.
Y/n: Thank you.- I whisper gratefully, separating myself from her belly and staring into her eyes.
Rhaenyra: For what? - she asks me confused, taking her hands out of my hair and caressing my cheeks gently.
Y/n: For everything.- I respond with a sigh. -For loving me, for being braver than me to the point of almost forcing me to marry you and for giving me an heir even with your reasonable fear of giving birth.- I list, making her laugh at the comment about the wedding and causing her to grimace at the end.
Rhaenyra: With you I'm not afraid of giving birth.- she assures me with a slight smile.
Y/n: Why? - I asked curiously, raising my other hand to her belly and leaving soft caresses on the spot over her dress.
Rhaenyra: Because I trusted you and I know that you will never do to me what my father did to my mother. - She answers me with a certain pain shining in her beautiful lilac eyes. -Because I know that you love me like I do and that you would put my life before even your own.- she assures me and a tear falls from her beautiful eyes.
Y/n: Rhae.- I murmur, touched by her response getting up from the ground and sitting on the couch next to her.
Rhaenyra: Stupid hormones.- she growls when followed by the first tear, the others come out after her and she begins to cry.
Y/n: Hey no.- I deny when she abruptly wipes away her tears. -You're going to hurt yourself, Ñuho glaeso hūrus (Moon of my life).- I tell her, putting her hands aside and gently removing the tears from her face.
Rhaenyra: I hate these mood swings.- she growls, crossing her arms and looking completely cute.
Y/n: I love them.- I whisper against her forehead, leaving a kiss on the spot and then descending my kisses all over her face.
Rhaenyra: You love them because you can laugh at my expense. - she hits my side and I can't help but grunt from the pain. -What's the matter? I haven't hit you that hard.- she asks me, frowning and with some concern.
Y/n: Nothing's wrong with me, it's just that Harwin has been faster than me in training and has had his fun with me. - I explain with a slight amused grimace.
She looks at me seriously, before reaching her hands towards my black training shirt and starting to take it off. Once the fabric is off my body, she looks at my ribs where a reddish area with small purple parts is located.
Rhaenyra: I'm going to have to talk seriously to your brother.- she comments, caressing the area delicately.
Y/n: Leave it, I hit his butt quite hard. - I comment with amusement, removing all traces of tears from her face and looking at the movement of her eyes.
Rhaenyra: Of course. - She rolls her eyes, letting out a small laugh, before returning her attention to my body.
Y/n: Better? - I asked quietly with a hoarse tone, noticing how my wife's eyes and hand ran over my entire torso.
Rhaenyra: Much better.- she assures me, biting her lip and unconsciously leaning towards my body.
I place my hand on the back of her neck, leaving a caress in the area before pulling her towards me and joining our lips. It doesn't take Nyra more than three seconds to deepen the kiss and moan against my mouth.
Y/n: This is why I love your mood swings. - I comment with amusement, separating myself from the kiss, feeling her hands run over my body and my hands over her.
Rhaenyra: Pervert.- she murmurs against my lips, putting her hands inside my pants and trying to take them off.
Y/n: That's what the person who tries to undress me says.- I laugh, standing up a little to help her undress me.
Rhaenyra: Shut up and take off my clothes.- she growls at me before kissing me hungrily.
I undress her as best I can, trying to do it in a way where our lips don't have to separate and where it is comfortable. But in the end the kiss is interrupted when I manage to release the dress and take it off over her head.
She gets up from the couch, taking off her underwear as best she can and walking naked towards our bed.
Rhaenyra: Are you coming or not? - she asks me maliciously, biting her index finger and looking at me innocently.
I don't respond verbally, but I jump off the couch as best I can and pick her up in my arms quickly, making her laugh. I lay her on the bed, placing myself on top of her and starting to kiss her entire body.
Y/n: I hope little Jacaerys or little Aemma prepare for what's coming. - I comment amused, leaving a kiss on my wife's belly and earning me a slap on the head from her.
Rhaenyra: Don't say that! - She exclaims with amusement and horror at the reference to our future baby.
I just laugh, leaning towards her face and staying a few centimeters away from her.
Y/n: Avy jorrāelan (I love you)- I whisper against her lips, knowing how much she likes me speaking to her in Valyrian.
Rhaenyra: Avy jorrāelan (I love you).- she whispers before hugging me by the shoulders and joining our lips for the third time in a very, very long afternoon full of something more than kisses.
Because maybe the beginning of our relationship was not the most orthodox or the most common. And our wedding may not have been the most pleasant for many, thanks to the death of a close friend of the Velaryon family at the hands of Ser Criston.
But to me, everything about Rhaenyra is perfect and natural. Our relationship arose from sincere feelings and although the wedding was brought forward 7 days due to a misfortune, I only look at the positive side of that day; marrying the love of my life.
Because from that day forward, my entire life is dedicated to my wife Rhaenyra Targaryen and the family we are creating.
Because even now after all the time that has passed since the day we met, just looking at her or feeling her hand touch mine makes my heart beat wildly just like the first day.

series masterlist
series summary: When your father dies, the only thing you can do for your family and the empire he built, is to marry a powerful man.
chapter sneak peek: But you and Bucky didn't follow the other guests. You didn't know the detailed layout of the rooms in that house, and the only secluded place you knew was the toilet. You dragged Bucky there almost by force, and apparently expecting an escalation of whatever was on your mind, he allowed you to do so.
“I'm sure you'll look beautiful, sweetheart,” Winnifred cooed. “I can't wait for the final result!” she added on her way to leave the room.
You spent the past few hours in Rebecca's bedroom, because that's where – aside from a large mirror, which rather every bedroom in the Barnes house was equipped with – was a vanity table; a really convenient solution when it came to doing your makeup and hair.
The upcoming ceremony didn't quite meet the criteria of typical weddings; there were only a few days to organize everything since the pre-agreement was signed. In all the chaos, there was no room to think about the choice of wedding dress or hall; you didn't have time to choose the flowers, the design of the invitations (there weren't even any invitations), the cake or the music. And you didn't particularly regret not having the opportunity to do so. It wasn't a real wedding – it didn't take place because two people who loved each other decided to get married. And since it didn't matter much, you didn't feel the need to care about any of the details.
It was different for Winnifred. She was aware of the same things as you, but that didn't stop her from beaming with excitement. You found this extremely charming; largely because of your own mother. As you left the house this morning she said, This boy will be the death of you.
Rebecca entered the bedroom, which surprised you a little. She had every right to be in a room that belonged to her, but since you had arrived at the Barnes mansion a few hours ago, Rebecca had been avoiding you.
You hesitantly put down your mascara, regretting that you had only just finished doing your eyes. Otherwise, you would have had an excuse not to confront Rebecca in any way.
“My mom is right. You will be a lovely bride,” she said, giving you a weak smile.
“Thank you.” You returned the friendly gesture, but were able to guess that it looked rather inept.
“Listen…” Rebecca sighed. “I'm sorry for the way I acted at dinner that night. I feel really horrible.”
“That's okay. You just had a bad day, I get it,” you replied. You didn't dare confess that you knew Rebecca's reasons for behaving the way she did. You feared that she would be furious to learn that her own sister had told you about this side of her life.
Rebecca seemed unsatisfied with your words. “I'm really sorry for what I said. Especially since I can see that you are not some random girl at all.”
Only after a moment did you realize that her gaze had landed on your engagement ring. Immediately, you felt a hot wave of sickening shame.
“I'm sorry, I'm not the one who should be wearing it,” you claimed, asserting what you had told Bucky earlier.
“Jamie wouldn't have given it to you if he thought it would end up in the wrong hands.” Rebecca smiled a little more confidently. “He obviously knows what he's doing.”
Yes, you've heard that before.
“Do you need help with your hair?” she proposed. “I swear I'm not going to destroy it in revenge.”
You laughed quietly. “Yes, please.” Accepting this offer had little to do with politeness or wanting to make Rebecca feel better. Indeed, you needed help.
Rebecca stood behind you, reached for a brush and began to comb your hair. She did this with extreme gentleness. “Are you nervous?”
“A bit,” you answered after a short thought, looking at your reflection. “But considering I'm marrying someone I've only known for a few weeks... That's normal, I guess.”
“You shouldn’t be. I am not trying to sell you my brother,” she remarked, raising her eyebrows. “But he will take care of you. You should just be careful what you wish for.”
You didn't show in any way that Rebecca's words intrigued you. You guessed that they had to do with Robbie's disappearance, but you chose not to ask. Rebecca was reaching out to you, being even a sweetheart, like the big sister you needed on that day. Destroying it would be a real stupid thing to do, and you weren't going to sabotage the atmosphere around your own wedding.
She did your hair, and although you weren't sure what you actually wanted, Rebecca managed to achieve a satisfying result. When it was time to shed your robe, Connie's absence began to bother you. You needed someone to point out your lace lingerie and crack a few dirty jokes about your wedding night. You weren't counting on Rebecca. Even if she had a slightly different character, the very thought of talking about it with the groom's sister was uncomfortable enough.
You fixed your gaze on the white dress spread out on the bed. Since this wedding wasn't exactly a traditional wedding, you hadn't quite understood why you couldn't have chosen a dress in any other color. And surprisingly, the person who explained to you some of the issues around this subject was Michael. Now you knew that when marrying someone like Bucky Barnes, the right symbolism had to be taken care of – purity and innocence. You had to give the impression of being untouched, waiting for your husband, apart from whom no other man existed. You had to be innocent; to do him no harm, to agree with his opinion, to submit to him. You didn't believe that anyone from the two Families – who were the only guests at this wedding, witnesses to the joining of the two clans for good – cared whether you were a good, silent virgin with no opinion of your own or not. But it was all about appearances. Though, perhaps, the elders of this community actually cared about such details?
After Rebecca had also helped you with your dress, you finally stood in front of a large mirror and looked closely at your reflection. You couldn't make up your mind how you felt about it all; before the wedding, for which you hadn't decided on the slightest thing, in the dress you and Winnifred had bought at the last minute. Staring at yourself like that, you realized that nothing really mattered much to you. You just wanted to get it over with.
Winnifred returned to the bedroom; you first saw her only in the mirror, and when you turned around, you noticed a bouquet in her hands. “I knew you would look beautiful,” she said with delight, her gaze expressing a tenderness you couldn't recall seeing in your own mother. She shook her head as if she had just remembered something. “I have something for you.” She handed you the bouquet of pink carnations and white freesias, tied with a silk ribbon in a pale shade of pink matching the color of the carnations. Somewhat caught off guard, you accepted the flowers. “Jamie just brought it.”
You took a shaky breath. “Oh…”
The ceremony, from start to finish, was to be held on Timothy's property. You didn't understand this aspect either, and Michael didn't clarify it to you, but given the significance of the white dress, you were able to draw your own conclusions – there was no greater, more important sanctity than the Barnes Family, therefore instead of any temple, there was the home of the head of the Family.
When you arrived, nothing had been clear since leaving the car. You weren't even sure if you were actually there – your body definitely, but everything else?
You and Michael stood in front of the entrance to the ballroom.
You weren't wrong about the temple analogy, and were made aware of it now as you saw more or less its interior; filled with chairs and guests sitting on them, it resembled a sanctuary of some kind – even the table at the far end of the room was an altar of sorts. Nevertheless, there was no traditional walking down the aisle; Michael led you down a corridor formed between two sides of the rows of chairs, but only because you needed his help – your veil made it difficult to see and the lengthy material of your dress to move freely.
Walking forward with the not-so-slow step you usually observed in brides, you kept your eyes on the ground. Paralyzed by some sudden fear, jitters, you were unable to focus it on anything else. All this nervousness was making you more and more distant from the reality of the situation.
Completely relying on Michael, you stopped when he stopped. Only then did you dare to lift your gaze, but the degree of transparency of the veil didn't allow you to see much. All you knew was that you stood right next to Bucky; that he had Steve and someone else at his side; that there was a man in front of you, acting not only as a priest but also as an official. At least that's what you thought, as you tried to logically interpret each element.
Normally, it should be Michael, in some way replacing your father, who should lift your veil in order to present you to your future husband, your new protector, provider. However, that right belonged exclusively to Bucky. Because Michael wasn't giving you away, he wasn't handing you over to good hands; it was Bucky who took you, if that was his will, accepted you, included you in the Family. From that moment on, your whole life depended on your husband.
But he didn't uncover your veil right away. It was as if you were to remain his sweet secret for as long as possible, protected from the gaze of others. Soon, though, he lifted the material and placed it behind your head, and he did so with such delicacy and concentration that you still didn't believe it was real.
Finally, you could look at his face, and although you could see the obvious tiredness and nervousness on it, he was still the most beautiful man you had ever met. And he was going to be yours for the rest of your life, until death do you part.
If there were actually vow words spoken – any words at all – you didn't hear them. Still numb with fear and anxiety, you stared at Bucky. He was scared too, you had no doubt about that, but instead of getting even worse, you felt... safe.
You approached the table on which the agreement rested. The priest handed the pen first to Bucky. But when Bucky leaned over the document, his hand holding the pen hung in the air. You only saw the side of his face, so couldn't tell much from it. Your forehead furrowed slightly; was he hesitating? Panicking? Had he suddenly changed his mind and was about to run away, leaving you at the altar?
Finally, however, he signed, bringing you back to breathing.
He moved the piece of paper towards you and handed the pen, without even glancing at you. You, too, leaned over the table, once again sweeping your gaze over the agreement, in effect realizing that something was wrong. It had expanded by at least one condition and some bold print.
The WIFE is obliged to provide the HUSBAND with an heir within a period of twenty-one months, i.e. the WIFE and the HUSBAND are obliged to conceive a child within twelve months from the date of the wedding.
Breach of any of the conditions will result in immediate termination of the agreement and a material penalty agreed by the parties.
So far you have felt so weak that you had the impression that you were about to faint. Now, you felt anger boiling up inside you; a sense of betrayal, of being a victim of trickery, pierced your heart painfully. You tightened your fingers on the pen with such force that it almost broke under their pressure. Despite everything, you signed the agreement, with the tip of the pen almost tearing through the paper.
There had been a lot of inconveniences in your path lately, but you couldn't recall any of them putting you in such a horrible mood. And when Bucky’s eyes met yours, you knew he saw that awful disappointment. Just as he should – he should be aware that he had hurt you. Did you expect to see guilt in response? Probably. But instead, there was anger, irritation, and somehow you knew it wasn't directed at you.
You also felt it when exchanging rings; Bucky squeezed your wrist a little too hard as he slid the wedding band onto your finger. He turned his jitters and anxiety into resentment; a phenomenon that intrigued you enough to make you forget your own for a moment.
The priest grabbed a previously prepared dagger; it had been resting on the table since the beginning, waiting for basically the most important part of the ceremony. “The act of joining two bloods.” The man took your hand carefully, turned it over and gently moved the dagger blade across your palm, leaving a bloody, not very deep line. You winced slightly, muffling a whine of discomfort. “So that two Families become one,” he added, proceeding to do the same with Bucky's hand, and he accepted it without the slightest movement; as if the blade had not even tickled him.
Thinking little of it, you reached for Bucky's wrist to draw his hand closer, then covered the inside of it with yours. As if by reflex, his fingers closed and embraced your hand gently. Maybe you were angry, but your body followed its own rules, and as Bucky made this small gesture, you felt warmth coming from where your hands touched; it spread to your chest, to the pit of your stomach.
The ceremony came to an end in as grave a mood as the whole of it. Timothy invited the guests to the garden, where a tent had been set up earlier – Winnifred's idea, as she had refused to let the feast take place in Timothy's cave. She insisted on this dose of romance, and it wasn't until after the ceremony that you realized she was right. The tent in the garden, in the middle of spring, was truly uplifting.
But you and Bucky didn't follow the other guests. You didn't know the detailed layout of the rooms in that house, and the only secluded place you knew was the toilet. You dragged Bucky there almost by force, and apparently expecting an escalation of whatever was on your mind, he allowed you to do so.
“What was that?” you asked before he managed to close the door behind you. Anger surged inside you again, and the best way to get rid of it that popped into your head was to hit Bucky with whatever you had in hand – in this case, your bouquet. “Promise me you’ll be my partner,” you quoted his words from a few days ago, and the flowers collided with his arm again. “My ally.” And again. “My wife.” And again.
“Y/N…” he sighed, patiently taking your harmless punches.
“You tricked me into continuing your bloodline!” Paying no attention to his calm tone, you didn't stop to hit him with the bouquet, which, by the way, wasn't as destroyed as it should have been.
“Y/N!” he hollered, suddenly grabbing your forearm, therefore stopping you from striking again. “Let’s talk about this. Like reasonable people.”
“So I am a person?” Your eyebrows rose. “Not a breeding stock?”
“I didn’t know!”
“How could you not know! You worked on this agreement together!”
And you were yelling at each other again, this time locked in that small space being the bathroom in Timothy's huge house. This only increased your frustration, because neither of you could escape. Besides, you couldn't escape not only physically; you were now stuck with each other.
“I didn't know. Okay?” he said much more calmly, although you felt that a gentle push would be enough to shatter all that calm again. “Timothy changed the deal behind my back. I should’ve known that he would pull something like this, he was too compliant…” He shook his head, looking away.
You thought it would be easier if you also stopped looking at him. So you concentrated on the bouquet; you pulled out the flowers that were only appropriate for throwing away. “You expected that he could pull something like this,” you began in a hushed voice, tentatively lifting your gaze to him. “And you didn’t do anything about it?”
He also looked at you, unable to hide that your words had affected him. At that moment, you regretted that they had left your lips, but on the other hand, maybe he should have heard them? After all, you were the one who was the most violated in the situation, and although you yourself once mentioned that a baby-free deal was rather impossible to achieve, you felt cheated.
“Don’t say that.” Bucky's voice sounded as quiet and weak as yours, his eyes expressing a begging; asking you not to give up on him like that, not to throw him into one bag with his uncle. “I’ll talk to him,” he added quickly. “I’ll talk to him now.” He seemed distracted, heartbroken, waiting for your approval.
On that day, he was definitely not himself. And it hit you, what you had promised him – not to make this any harder than it has to be.
“Bucky-” you spoke tenderly, touching his arm, which only a few minutes ago you had been punching. “Do it after the party, okay? I don't want to ruin it for you. The penny has dropped anyway, so…” You shrugged.
You were still angry, betrayed, disappointed. But in all this, you forgot to see that Bucky was trying; that he was carrying a little too much weight on his shoulders. It appeared that he had been tricked, too, and you were probably the only person who could – should – show him some support.
Bucky smiled sadly, his lips pressed together. You didn't know him long enough, but just as before you were able to sense that he wasn't angry at you, now you got the strong impression that there were processes going on in his head that could lead to dangerous consequences.
You joined the rest of the guests in a tent at the back of the house. They didn't notice your absence, or took it as perfectly natural – slipping away to satisfy some burning need; that maybe you couldn't wait any longer to fulfill your marital duty. You would have preferred it to be exactly that instead of new problems.
Although you didn't doubt Bucky's intentions anymore and believed that he didn't know about his uncle's ruse, there was this lingering sense of unease accompanying you all the time. Maybe it had something to do with the stress of the last few days, which had reached its zenith just today? Or would you have been able to relax at home, away from all those people?
During a seemingly endless conversation with Winnifred and Rebecca, you noticed that you had lost sight of Bucky. The last time you saw him talking to the man who had introduced himself to you earlier as Sam Wilson, but you couldn't pinpoint when exactly that was – fifteen minutes ago, but it might as well have been over an hour.
You decided to try not to panic. He was talking to someone again, this time out of your view, or holed up for a cigarette.
Somewhere outside the fence sounded the loud roar of an engine, followed by the screech of tires. A few guests stopped their ongoing conversations and listened for a moment, while the rest were not particularly concerned about the noise. You were not part of either group; anxiety suddenly grew to enormous sizes, turning your stomach inside out.
Someone touched your shoulder, and you immediately knew it wasn't him; Bucky would do it differently. You looked over and saw Michael – white as a sheet. “Can we talk?”
You excused yourself, and Michael, keeping the appearance of being completely in control, led you into the house. You didn't ask what had happened – you sensed that something bad hung in the air.
Michael brought you to Timothy's office. He, on the other hand, looked furious; he was sitting behind his desk, and there was a burning smell in the room.
“Your agreement.” He pointed to the desktop; to the charred scraps of paper resting on it and the ring – the same one you slid onto Bucky’s finger a couple hours earlier.
At first your stomach dropped. He destroyed the agreement and left. And without Bucky, without the agreement, you were ruined.
Despite the fact that you were terrified, you were not going to break down in front of Timothy. He had humiliated you enough. “Which one?” Having tilted your head to the side, you lifted your eyebrows. “There were two versions, right? Were you inspired by Rumlows with the second one?”
Your biting tone did not go unnoticed by Timothy. “You are acting very boldly for someone who will soon be left with nothing.”
Painfully aware that Timothy was right, you glanced at your secured future – burnt, useless. Not only that was burnt and useless; you and Bucky had burned all the bridges together; Bucky had first beaten Brock Rumlow, then humiliated John Walker and finally vanished into thin air himself.
But why exactly did he do it? He didn’t listen to you and talked with Timothy anyway; there had to be something his uncle had to have done; something that pushed his limits, tipped his balance. Or maybe his sweet words meant nothing and he decided to show you that marriage really wasn’t for him?
“Looks like you're back on the market.” Timothy stated. “I'm really ashamed of what my nephew did to you, darling.”
Unable to listen to Timothy any longer, or even look at him, you turned to Michael. “Can we go home?”
“Certainly,” he answered in such a gentle, almost fatherly tone that you have never heard from him before.
a/n: feel free to share your thoughts, they are more than welcomed 🥰

What is your favorite Zutara headcanon?
I hope you have an amazing day! ^.^
I'm so sorry this has been sitting in my inbox forever! I haven't had a chance to answer asks and I kind of forgot about it, so I'm going to give an extra long answer to make up for it lol. I have a few that are tied for first and second, so bear with me.
Firstly, I absolutely love the idea of Zuko helping out Katara with the chores after he joined the gaang. It just makes sense that he would try to help her out, and that he would feel guilty and try to do extra work. Of course, it takes Katara awhile to actually appreciate his help, but after TSR they actually manage to have fun together while they're doing dishes and laundry together, and she can't imagine it any other way.
This one is kind of cheesy, but I love the idea of them both being musically inclined, but in different ways. Zuko is obviously great at the tsungi horn, but he's an absolutely awful singer, and Katara can't play an instrument to save her life, but she has the voice of an angel. They like practicing songs with each other to let off steam, and even after the war whenever Katara finds herself in the Fire Nation or Zuko in the water tribe, they still get together to make a bit of music. They're also both wonderful dancers, Zuko from growing up learning dances in the FN court, and Katara because it's a big part of her culture, and she also just thinks it's fun. Zuko never really liked to dance, because it reminded him of being boxed in at court, but Katara shows him some different steps and he actually enjoys himself for once. In an AU where they end up together, their kids grow up combining the dances of both their cultures and creating new trends in both the FN and the SWT.
This one isn't really Zutara-centric, but Toph teases the HELL out of them. She literally goes around making the snarkiest comments and she will not stop until they are both blushing like tomatoes.
In an AU where they get together, they are the second in the gaang to get married, after Suki and Sokka but before Aang and Teo (I said what I said). Their wedding is obviously a huge event, and Sokka and Aang are the groomsmen while Toph and Suki are the bridesmaids, obviously. Katara is super into wedding planning and picking out her dress. Uncle Iroh helps her with the plans and buys fireworks and organizes the guest list and Zuko rebels against the both of them at every turn because he doesn't really want a huge, ostentatious wedding. He eventually realizes that this is way more important to Katara than it is to him, though, so he stops trying to get them to tone things down and only helps her with the planning when asked, to give her all the creative freedom her heart desires. In canon (where they don't get together) I like to think that Zuko would be Katara's 'man of honor' at her wedding with Aang. Partially because of pining and angst, but mostly because they want to be there for each other and see each other happy, even if they aren't going to be the ones spending their lives together.
Zuko would be the first one to realize his feelings for Katara, but he'd be in denial for so long that by the time Katara realizes her feelings back, they're at about the same place when it comes to their relationship. She's the first one to say "I love you" and even though it takes him a little time to say it back, it's only because he's scared to be so vulnerable with someone at first. She gives him time, and his love confession ends up being simultaneously the most awkward and the most romantic thing in the world. Zuko is the one to propose and Katara says yes without question.
They end up having two kids, twin girls named Kya and Ursa after their mothers. Kya, the nonbender, is set to inherit the throne, and Ursa, the waterbender, has a special gift for healing. Zuko only wanted one kid because he was afraid of messing them up, but he ends up being a wonderful father. Katara is a great mother as well, of course, and she loves to teach Ursa waterbending while Zuko helps her incorporate firebending moves into her fighting style. Kya feels a little left out of these family training sessions at first, but Zuko teaches her how to use the dao swords, her Aunt Mai teaches her how to throw knives, and her Aunt Ty Lee teaches her chi blocking, so she's just as deadly as the rest of her family.
Katara's first project after becoming firelady is to help spearhead pollution reform and create industrial regulations that help the FN become more environmentally friendly. She eventually travels back to the village in "the Painted Lady" with her daughters to show them the value of respecting nature.
This one also isn't very zutara-centric, but I don't think Katara and Azula would ever really reconcile. Although she becomes good friends with both Mai and Ty Lee (who are dating, obviously), she can never forgive Azula for some of the most traumatic events of her life. Zuko and Azula do eventually have a healthy relationship after Azula realizes the error of her ways, but she decides to move away from the palace of her own accord. There are too many bad memories there.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my headcanons! These are the only ones I can think of right now but I probably have more somewhere in my brain.

Drunken proposals—
Jamie Drysdale x Reader
Warnings: nothing really, drinking??, lmk if anything else :)
"Y/n which of these flowers should I add to my bouquets?" Lily slid a scrapbook chalked full of flower cutouts from magazines in front of her. The young woman smiled warmly, fingers running over the glossy shine of the magazine pieces as she looked up at her best friend who was practically glowing with excitement
Ever since the bride's mother-in-law had heard the rumour of her daughter's proposal she had begun compiling a bag full of magazines and venue pamphlets. The moment the question was popped, the planning followed suit.
Lily and Y/n had been tasked with the dinner arrangements, from tablecloths to seating arrangements, tonight was the night all of this would be settled. It seemed as if every "insignificant" detail had been thought through, many tears were shed as they sipped cheap wine and reminisced on their childhoods, giggling at the outrageous pairings they put at tables, just to stir the pot.
Lily smiled at the woman who went through and examined every tiny sample of tablecloth colours the venue supplied, the wedding had been a nice distraction for Y/n's nerves. Jamie was still contractless well into the free-agent season, and the Anaheim Duck organization seemed like a pit of doom, but both her boyfriend and their ex-roommate had decided that they had some 'unfinished business' to return to in California.
"I'm in favour of the white narcissus, maybe some eucalyptus branches, and a few lilies, mixed with some baby's breath" Y/n grabbed the four cut-out slips and placed them together in front of Lily who gushed. Her best friend's mother-in-law leaned over the kitchen table and then looked at the bride with a grin, "They're lovely" Lily gushed and nodded in approval. And that's how the night went, a perfectionist's dream as they sorted through all of the details, picking out colour schemes and grinning with pride as they perfected the entire night.
Lily smiled, her thumbs drummed on the table and finally, she looked up at Y/n with a grin. "That's a scheming grin" "It's not! But I do have a question for you" Y/n rolled her eyes as Lily took her hands into her grasp. The woman laughed at the awkward tension, chuckling at the terrified look on her best friend's face as the mood turned dark.
"Y/n?" Lily paused causing the girl to groan. "Lily you're making me anxious!" "Be my maid of honour!" Y/n smiled widely as she nodded, pulling Lily into her arms, "Oh my God, of course!" she said swaying back and forth with excitement.
"Good good, so obviously you and Marley's person of honour will be walking together in the bridal party" She smiled as she showed a picture of the bridesmaid dresses and the optional tuxes that her own mother had promised to make as a wedding gift to her. A lovely shade of sage, it was a long dress with puffy sleeves and a cinched waist. Y/n gasped as she looked closely at the dress, "they're stunning," she looked up at a grinning Lily
"I have a question," Lily handed two china saucers to Y/n and motioned for her to pick her favourite, "when did you know you wanted to marry her?" the girl asked as they sorted through napkin samples. Her best friend grinned as she flipped through a wedding dress magazine, "I don't actually know, I met her and I knew that I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life, but marriage wasn't something I ever pictured with anyone really, but she brought up the idea a few months ago and asked my opinion and honestly a no never even crossed my mind," she grinned and looked down at the ring on her finger.
Y/n nodded and smiled, thinking back to young much awkward Jamie. The two of them had met just after his draft into the OHL, and she swore in that second she had met him, a little over five years ago, that he was the man she was meant to adore for the rest of her time on the earth. Marriage was something she really wanted, something she had dreamt of since she could remember.
She stared at the piles of books in front of her, a grin on her face as she remembered the conversation Jamie had brought up to her a few weeks prior, "Would you be mad if I just wanted to elope?" he asked as they laid next to each other in their shared bed. he didn't even need to explain why, if that's how he wanted it she was okay with it, she would be happy with anything, as long as he was the one she got to call the husband at the end of the night.
She stared at the piles around her, stacks of magazine clippings and ribbons surrounding her as she looked up at her best friend, "I think I want to propose to Jamie," she confessed as her best friend grinned.
★★★
A bottle of wine and lots of giggly conversations later Y/n stumbled back home and into bed next to Jamie who slept soundlessly.
A breathy laugh left the woman's lips and she crawled in next to him. Her makeup was still on and her clothes were discarded onto the floor, with only a bra and Jamie's boxers remaining on her body. The defenceman's face scrunched up as she worked her way into his arms, giggles leaving her lips as she tried, and failed, to quietly get comfortable.
"I'm sorry honey" she whispered. "You sound a bit drunk love" he groaned rubbing his eyes of any remaining sleep "I am," she grinned before placing a wet kiss on his nose
Y/n stared at his sleepy expression, her heart thumping as she brought her hand up to run her fingers through his bedhead, a content grin on her face as he snuggled in closer to her. Her face broke out into a full-blown smile as she watched him close his eyes at the feeling of her touch. "I'm so utterly and unconditionally in love with you," she mumbled, blurring her face in his chest as his arms wrapped securely around her.
He went to cut her off but instead was silenced by a finger that she placed on his lips, a small shush following shortly after. "I'm not done" she frowned before placing a kiss where her finger previously resided.
"Jamie Drysdale, I'm so overwhelmed by the love that I hold for you, with my entire being. You're my favourite person, my favourite everything" she took a short pause, her eyelashes batting as she took his hand into hers "You make me feel so many things, you feel inevitable to me like you are my forever"
Jamie sat up onto his elbows to look at her, his eyes began to well with tears as she endlessly confessed. "Like- like we are something written out by the gods," his thumb ran across Y/n's face, wiping away the tears that fell down the apples of her cheeks. "What I'm trying to say is that you are the kindest and most loving person in my life. And I will cherish you until the end of my days" she whispered the last sentence and placed a kiss on the knuckles of the hand still in her grasp.
His tired features melted away long ago and now resides a look of pure love on his moonlit face. Tear streaks highlight his cheeks, his vocabulary had already withered away as she spoke, leaving him nothing less than speechless.
Jamie watched her smile and let out a laugh at the awkward tension, he leaned in to capture her lips on his, his hand cupping her jaw as she hummed into his mouth. Her lips tasted cherry wine and cigarettes, soft from the overuse of her vanilla lavender lip balm, a taste that was familiar on his tongue, a sense of home, as his hand found the side of her face.
"Marry me" she whispered, her forehead now leaning against his as she let out shallow breaths. Her hand plays with the hair at the nape of his neck, her brows furrowed as she waits for his response so she can start kissing him again. Jamie smiled and let out a quiet "yes" before he leaned back down to kiss her.
He didn't even need to say words, or a large rambling confession as she did, Y/n knew that Jamie loved her with every fibre of his being, he'd shown it countless times over the years. There was no doubt in her mind that James wouldn't walk hand in hand with her for the rest of his life just as she would for him.
He pulled away to look her in the eyes, his hand still cradling her cheek. She slowly blinked as her thumb ran over his cracked bottom lips, pulling at the flesh as he tried to find his voice again. "You mean it?" "Yes J," her mind was distracted by the stubble that was growing in on his jaw.
Jamie rolled over onto his side to rummage in his bedside table drawer, searching for the little box that was hidden under a pile of paperwork and a book. He turned back to face her and pulled Y/n right into his chest, her cheek pressed against his chest as he placed the little box in her palm.
She opened the tiny box to see a small ring, nothing extravagant like she specifically said she wanted, "oh J, did I just ruin your proposal?" she slid the ring one, face a blaze as she admired its other ring finger. "Was gonna wait till your birthday to do it, but I liked yours more," he grinned as he took her hand a placed a kiss right onto her finger, lips ghosting over the ring.
"I just drunkenly prosed to you," her jaw dropped as she rolled onto her back and stared at the roof, confused by the escalation of her actions, "What are we gonna tell our kids?" "Kids?" he choked on his laughter as she rolled back into his side, her eyes lovingly staring up at him. "Well I mean yeah, in the future, how am I supposed to tell them that Lily got me hammered and I word-vomited myself into an engagement," she joked. "I say you tell them just that," he mused and got himself comfortable.
She grinned into his skin, "We are engaged," she whispered and closed her eyes, a telltale to Jamie that she needed some sleep. Shortly after the room filled with her small snore, Jamie's finger agilely danced across her forearm and he watched his now fiancé roll onto her side. Her face squished into the pillow as a quiet snore left her lips.
He let out a quiet sigh and rolled to be face to face with her, his fingers now brushing her face-framing strands from out of her eyes and tucked behind her ears. A sombre look washed over his features as he watched the rise and fall of her figure. And in that exact moment, he swore to himself that he'd do everything within his power to make sure he was the best husband he could be to her, cause she was everything he'd been dreaming of and more.

Hi, so can you do Colin Bridgerton lover where they are a secret relationship because of all the stuff that comes with being public and they aren’t ready for that but somehow Lady Whistledown finds out and it’s exposed.
-> pairings: Colin bridgerton x reader
-> warnings: none
Both of their eyes managed to lock together every time the two were in the same room, they danced with others, twirled around the room unknowingly to anyone else apart from the two of them.
Nothing could give away the love their hearts were laced with. So they began to find happiness in being together and wanting to be married as soon as possible. Anthony and Vioket were ecstatic, the girl couldn't have been a more perfect match for their family and their beloved Colin. No one knew except their family and the dark rooms into which they would find themselves happily expressing their love without a care in the world.
The room had began being suffocating for both of them because of the lack of liberty, they breathed the need to conjoin their hands and look into each other's eyes. And so y/n decided to leave the dance room in search of some peace and silence. Colin's eyes traveled along her figure as she kept going further away from his visual and so he decided to follow her, they found themselves in a room, where they hugged each other both in need of physical touch.
Her eyes watery as she looked into his "I can't help it Colin, I need to marry you, no one will ever be you and seeing you out there dance, it makes me melt, because you are not holding me" she says pointing at herself with heavy breathing "I want to marry you" he says with wavering words "words are not enough colin" she goes out of the room, running into a soft body draped in a beautiful dress "oh my, I'm so sorry miss featherington have I hurt you" Penelope eyes looked at her with a softness in them usual for her "don't worry, was just trying to escape my mom" "can I help? I know a way to the kitchen, here, we could eat some biscuits and talk if you'd deemed it interesting" "lovely" the two giggled soundly as they went to the kitchen in secret.
Dearest reader, this author finds herself in need of talking of one of the jewels of this season, the splendid and exquisite future miss bridgerton, I can offer the greatest of my wishes as Mr Colin bridgerton, the third son of the late viscount and viscountess Bridgerton, it seems the two were seen exchanging eyes as well as their mamas, who talked in secrecy for the entire night. However I find myself obliged to talk about miss featherington, once again missing...
The girl took the paper and stopped reading as lady whistledown kept using Penelope as a punching bag, the vallet came running in the tea room announcing miss bridgerton and the viscount bridgerton "I assume you read the paper" laughed violet to the girl's mother "don't worry dear, it will all work out, I know you were hoping for a titled man to bring luck in your sister's marriages but it's now the time to marry" "My mother's right, we are here to start organizing the wedding" Anthony said looking at his future sister-in-law.
The two lovers looked at eachother nodding and gulping down, "I'd like to use as engagement ring my nanas ring if it's fine with you miss Bridgerton" "of course my dearest"
Their eyes locked while she walked down the aisle, after a long mass the two were declared wife and husband and they finally kissed for the first time.
This reader deemed fit put in her best wishes to the new lord and miss bridgerton, to a happy and long marriage

،، 𝓤ntil I Found You ; Korra
< part 1 (not necessary for context, just if u want to read it)
request guide | masterlist
resume: the happiest day of your life finally arrived.
content warning: there's literally just fluff and more fluff here ; Korra x fem!reader ; no nation nor bending status mentioned ; no use of y/n ; the banner does not represent r's skin color at all, it's just a painting i liked and goes according to the theme of the wedding.
wc: 2.9k
a/n: HEIYA ofc it's okay darling, i adore writing this type of stuff, im just a girl that loves love. here goes the dress references for those who want to have a clear image of my poor description: Korra's was based on this gorgeous fanart i found on pinterest that took my breath away whilst reader's was based on this dress i love and adore HOWEVER! even if i did base the dress description on this image it does not mean that that is the body type for reader at all!! also since i did not add the reader's nation there wasn't something i could base myself from for a more traditional dress, that's why i made her a city girl since they have more blended styles. THANK YOU FOR REQUESTING AND FOR YOUR WORDS, CUTIE, ENJOY :D
“ The start of a new line on this family tree, two hearts connected by one beat.
Flowers, location, the court, ring bearer, maid of honor, best man, officiant, guest list, food, drinks, your brain felt like it was about to explode with all the preparations and you were sure there was some you didn’t add to the list in that specific moment.
You loved the idea of marrying the love of your life and celebrate the union with your closest circle, but you never imagined how tiring it would be to organize a whole wedding. Korra was no far from losing her mind too with everything she had to organize, you two had decided to divide the work so it would be easier just to confirm with the other if the decision made was the correct one or if should look for something else. However, there were tasks that needed to be done by the two of you such as cake selection, invitations and the flowers each one would have.
“What about red velvet flavor?” you asked extending a piece of pastry with your fork to her to eat, she did so.
“Are you sure? Because I liked the chocolate and vanilla one.” she said tilting her head, you smiled.
“Depends, with fruit between the layers?” Korra nodded excited and you nodded back, slower. “Chocolate, vanilla and fruits will be.”
You both turned to the person in charge to take notes of the cake preferences, they were looking at you with a sweet smile on. “I'm sorry, it's just that you two look so cute together. I've seen a lot of couples coming to choose their wedding cakes, but only a few are really a team that loves to work together, you two are one of them.”
At such comment, both started to feel your faces warmer and eventually got shy. There had to be truth in their words that you did believe: Korra and you worked good together, you complimented each other so well that it was scary at times.
After the avatar had proposed, you realized how if you planned things with a speed you were going to be able to marry on the same day you two had begun to be girlfriends and it was just a dream to the two of you, making your relationship anniversary to a marriage anniversary was definitely a goal to achieve. So far everything was going good, you got the food, drinks and location secured, the invitations had such beautiful decorations representing both of your nations and the guest list was ready to start the dealing of envelopes. Now there were other problems: the flower girl and ring bearer.
“The airbending kids!” Korra exclaimed as if she had the best idea.
“We already have them to walk before the maid of honor.” your hands were holding your head while you shook it, the girl frowned.
“Why not just change them...?” her words were left in the air when she stopped to think, a big smile started to appear on her face. “Oh, do I have the best pair to be our flower girl and ring bearer.”
Now you were the one with a confuse frown on the face at her comment, not knowing exactly to who she was referring since the only kids you knew were Tenzin's.
“I would be delighted and honored to be the flower girl in your wedding.” Bolin said a moment later his short session of excited screams after being asked by the avatar when the group went to eat lunch together.
“What about the ring bearer?” Asami asked bitting her food, Korra and you now turned to Mako who was too calmed drinking his beverage. When he felt your gaze on him, he blinked a little bit.
“What...?” he asked, confused, you rolled your eyes funnily.
“Would you like to be our ring bearer, Mako?” Korra asked smiling innocent, he seemed to think about it. “Don't be like that, you know you'll love to bring the rings.”
The firebender giggled and nodded. “I'll do it, gladly.”
Your face turned to Asami by your left side and batted your eyelashes a couple of times her way, she laughed a little bit. “Don't ask me to be another flower girl, I'm sure Bolin would do great alone.”
“It's not that,” you said after the earthbender had agreed about his work. “We want you to be our maid of honor.”
The engineer almost choked on her food at such sudden request, coughing a little bit and with soft pats from you on her back she recompensed herself.
“Really?” she asked almost in disbelief, the avatar nodded at the same time you did. Her green eyes got teary, her head started to nod. “My spirits, of course I would love to be the maid of honor!” she was quick to hug you tight before standing and hugging her other friend.
After finishing lunch and sort out details such as clothes color, practice and Bolin's question about which type of flower petals he would be throwing, Korra and you found yourselves in the Air Temple Island looking for the airbending family.
Getting greeted by the older man and the younger master with a big smile, you asked to talk with Tenzin alone.
“How's the wedding preparations going, girls?” he asked letting you get in his office first.
“Oh, you know; the brides are going crazy, but we have everything sorted out so they won't be insane at their ceremony.” you said giggling, he joined.
“Yeah, I remember when Pema and I got married... We fought over some flower centerpieces for weeks, she won and with reason, her selection was better than mine.” the man told with a nostalgic smile in his face. “If everything is sorted out, what can I do for you?”
You turned to your fiancée and she smiled. “Well, Tenzin, we actually don't have everything sorted out.” she started, the man looked confused. “We have everyone, but the best man.” when he realized where that was going, his eyebrows raised a bit. “And we were wondering if you would like to be our best man.”
Grey eyes looked at you first and then to the avatar, trying to see if it was some type of prank, but when he didn't find any indicator of it he was quick to hug you two at once.
“I would be more than happy to be the best man.” he said in a shaky voice, both Korra and you hugged the man tight.
Now with the whole court sorted out, it was time to focus on the most important thing: the dresses.
For that part, Korra and you had decided for it to be secret from the other as you wanted to surprise each other and keeping that 'bad luck to see the bride in her dress before the wedding' belief. Asami had offered to be your companion while Tenzin was Korra's.
A bride shop was definitely something you didn’t know what to expect from since it wasn't a place always rounding your mind, until you got proposed to. Looking for the perfect dress was a challenge itself; Asami and you had seen a lot of different dresses in different styles and tones of white that it almost got you dizzy. You were able to select three dresses from the bunch, the first two weren't that good in your opinion, but when the time of trying the last one came and you saw yourself in the mirror, you couldn't believe it. The dress combined with you in such a way that it felt almost dreamy of how good it looked, it was a little puffy on the skirt part with a corset–like superior part that hugged you perfectly, it had lace decorating your clavicle and arms with a turtle neck too, but it wasn’t so high, your betrothal necklace shined more than ever in such dress.
When you turned to look at your friend, she had her hands over her mouth and her eyes shined with admiration, under a gasp she said your name.
“It looks so gorgeous on you...” she said, standing from her seat and walking to you. Both hands met yours. “Korra will fall harder for you if that's even possible.”
“Will you be getting the maid of honor's dress as well?” the adviser asked with a smile. “Because we have a selection for her to choose right now and try it on so you can see how it would look all together.”
You turned to the engineer who thought about it for a second before nodding happily, it was definitely about to be a long evening.
When all of it was solved and the measurements were written down for the dress to be adjusted to you, you went back home. At your arrival you realized how you were the last one to get back by the sound and smell coming from the kitchen.
Walking to the area, you smiled at the sight of your fiancée; you walked up to her and wrapped both arms around her waist, resting your chin on her shoulder.
“Hey, gorgeous, I thought you would be here sooner.” more of a claim, it was just a comment out of a bit of worry.
“Sorry, we were looking for dresses for about two hours.” you said, a kiss was left on her shoulder before walking to her side to see her face. “How did it went with you?”
“Good,” Korra answered with a smile. “Tenzin was about to cry when they made me try on a model.”
A giggle left your mouth. “So you'll look gorgeous, got ya'.”
The wedding date was getting closer, just a couple more days for it all to finally come to an end. Both dresses were adjusted and created at time record, being sent to the apartment afterwards and obviously it was hide from the other to avoid peaking.
The final week it was all running from one place to the other, you had to write down your vows and also check on your part of the arrangements making sure everything was going good. Thankfully Asami and Tenzin were helping you two out with checking the status of most of them as well as making sure it was what you had asked for. The rehearsal for the wedding was done one time a couple days before, you'd had Korra's dad not only walking her dow the aisle, but also officiate the wedding so him and Senna traveled a week prior to make his own errands on the matter.
“So we walk first and then Asami or does Asami walks first?” Bolin asked all the way from the start of the hall, you smiled.
“Mako and you walk at the same time, first, and before Asami.” you explained, talking a little bit loud since you were standing in the altar already.
“Gotcha, after the airbending kids.” now you just nodded and he did the same. “Alright, we're ready to rumble! Let's get this rehearsal going!”
It wasn’t even the day for it, but just the sight of Korra walking the aisle with her dad by her side made you want to tear up already; how were you going to do this at the actual date?
Rehearsal went by smoothly, everyone understood what to do and say, lifting a weight out of everyone's shoulders. The day prior the wedding Korra and you had your bachelorette party: no one but the two of you alone at the apartment together, enjoying the peace and quiet after weeks of pure madness, getting ready for the most important day of your lives.
The morning of was the craziest day you've ever experienced, everyone left early their homes to fill yours with talks, screams and demands. Korra was taken away to get ready separately and you would only see her at the venue. You felt like a doll being dressed and stylized, but were able to read your vows at least five times to make sure there weren't any typos and it was making sense as well. The morning went by in a snap of fingers, you found yourself already at the venue with your heart threatening to come out by your mouth and shaky hands. You saw people starting to get in the avenue, it was almost time.
“You'll do great!” Asami exclaimed with a big smile. “You look beautiful, everything is set up, the wedding will be perfect.”
However you could, with the whole nervous feeling taking over you, a smile was painted on your face by her words. “Hey! Are we ready?” One of the brothers asked, you took a deep breath in.
After you walked in, accompanied by the airbender master to stand in the altar, your eyes looked how everyone was coming in. Bolin did the best job at throwing petals everywhere, even the guest and you on the way, making everyone giggle. And when Korra's silhouette was seen, your breath cut off.
She was wearing a blue dress, a bit puffy as well. It had to be the most beautiful dress you've ever laid eyes on, it was clearly a water tribe one; since the season was cold, she had taken advantage of it to use one with a warming top, her waist was hugged by a corset on top of all the pieces, on her neck a beautiful necklace shined and her short hair was stylish to have just the upper part tied in almost a half ponytail. You were so sure you would start crying if it was because the makeup could get messed up, Korra saw it and she smiled happily your way, when she was infront of you you could see how she was also containing her tears.
The ceremony was great, Tonraq was talking about love, marriage and how the first words he exchanged with you was asking if you had good intentions with his daughter, saying how he was glad you weren't lying about you loving her. When the time for the vows came along, you went first.
“Alright, I'm sorry if I stumble in my own words, I'm nervous.” you said while taking the paper out to read, a collective giggle was heard. “When I first met you, I would never have thought that the girl from the fire ferrets who just joined in and almost fought me after I said my friend's group was better would be the one I will be getting married today,” Korra tried not to laugh so hard at the memory. “I am the luckiest to have you by my side and call you the love of my life, we've been through a lot together and I'm certain we will face more, but I'm sure if we have each other through hell and worse, we'll be okay.”
You took a moment to take a deep breath in to calm yourself down before continuing.
“We will be each other's shoulders to stand on and to cry on; we will lift each other up and hold each other tight; we will be partners in adventure and allies in conflict. I promise to never stop making your love and happiness my priority, because your joy is my joy. In sickness and in health, in failure and triumph, I will walk beside you and I will love you, forever.” you finished, Korra took a moment to stop any cry while you threw air to your eyes with the paper.
“This is funny, I have almost the same beginning.” she said in a shaky voice, now you laugh a little bit.
The avatar took a minute to get herself together, when she was ready she cleared her throat and took her piece of paper.
“The day I met you, after almost kicking your ass for bringing down my group's name at a probending reunion, I was sure I had met the most important person that would change my life.” a mix between laugh and cry was heard from you, Korra smiled. “From the moment our paths crossed, you’ve captivated me, challenged me, frustrated me and improved me in ways no person has done before. And I have fallen in love with you again and again. You're the love of my life, my light that guides me in the darkest of places, my rock where I can find rest when the tide is being harsh with me, the reason I keep going and want to be better for. I promise to love you, cherish you and make you the happiest woman in the world, because you showed me that I deserve to be loved and that I was never broken.”
The officiant gave you two a moment to breath in before continuing the ceremony, totally not because he was in the verge of tears as well. When the rings were exchanged, the man named you officially married; sharing a kiss to seal the agreement, the whole venue erupted in cheers reminding you how you weren't alone there.
At the reception, everyone was having the time of their lives while Korra and you stood in your bubble, feeling blessed to be able to marry your best friend; fortunate to have your love come through all the challenges and see it win again and again, it was more than certain that this would start the best chapter of your lives.

Our special day (Rúben Dias x Reader)
**I got this request to write about the reader and Rúben going to a wedding and reminiscing about their own. Very fluffy and cute, of course. And I was looking forward to writing it but when I started, I could only imagine my best friend that will get married soon as the bride in this story and…I loved that 🥺🥰 I hope you all have a good time reading it ❤️**

When Rúben went back to your hotel room to check you were ready to leave, he stared at you for a whole minute before making his presence felt.
“That’s really rude of you, you know?”
“What?”, you said, turning to look at him.
“No one is supposed to look better than the bride. And you already broke that rule”.
You laughed at his comment. “Well, she chose the dress so she probably won’t mind. Besides, the groom will only have eyes for her”.
“Same as I only have eyes for you”.
He hugged you from behind, staring at how you two looked in the mirror. You still needed to give the finishing touches to your hair and make-up, but didn’t mind him being so clingy.
“I’m not happy about you not sitting with me at the church”.
“I’m a bridesmaid, Rúben. I have to be with the bride”.
“But I’ll miss you. I guess at least I get to stare at you without looking like a creep. You’ll be literally next to the people who get married”.
“I think being married helps you avoid looking creepy when you stare at me”.
Rúben just hugged you tighter. This day brought back so many memories. He couldn’t stop thinking about it and wondered if you were feeling the same.
“I have to go see the bride. She’s probably so nervous!”
“Were you nervous before our wedding?”
“No. I have you wrapped around my finger. I knew you’d show up”.
And you weren’t lying.
**
Once the bride was ready, you joined the other bridesmaids on your way to the very nervous groom. Your friends were absolutely adorable. Also, they had been dating since they were babies, so it was very emotional for you to see them finally getting married. You knew they had been dreaming of this moment for so long.
On the way to the altar, you spotted Rúben sitting with other of your friends. And when he saw you, you stuck your tongue out to him. He laughed, loving your goofy side, and blew you a kiss.
The first notes of the wedding march were played and you already felt tears in your eyes. All the other bridesmaids, your best friends, were feeling the same way.
And whenever you looked back at Rúben, you saw he had kept his promise of just staring at you. He was so silly.
The ceremony was very emotional and once it was over, you all got out of the church to say goodbye to the bride and groom for a little bit. You were still waving at their car when you noticed strong arms wrapping around your waist.
“They looked so happy”, he said.
“I know…oh crap, I’m getting emotional again”.
“I think we looked even happier on our wedding day”.
“Rúben! You’re not helping”.
He laughed and turned you to face him. He used his thumbs to clean the little tears without messing up your make-up too much.
"We are actually the reason this wedding happened".
"How?"
"The bride caught your bouquet at our wedding".
"Well, she was already engaged so that might have helped too. Who caught it today?"
"A little girl. She was so excited but I'm afraid she'll have to wait a little longer to get her own wedding".
You took Rúben's hand and walked to your car so you could drive to where the reception was going to be held.
"You won't believe everything we did to decorate the venue", you told Rúben while you took him inside to see it. No one was supposed to be there yet.
He kept looking at all the little details and then you got to the photo wall.
"It's not the classiest or whatever but who cares. We just knew she'd love it".
Rúben looked at every photo. From your group of friends on school trips to the hen party you organized a couple of months ago. Your whole friendship was documented there. And then he saw one photo that he could have recognised anywhere. One you had at your own house.
"I love this photo".
It was one taken at your wedding. It was you and your bridesmaids hugging Rúben while he laughed.
"You see it every day".
"Doesn't make me love it less".
"You see me every day".
"Doesn't make me love you less either".
Your kiss was interrupted by one of the waiters who got there to keep getting things ready.
"Sorry".
"Don't be", you told the poor guy, "we'll let you get to work. Everything looks perfect. They are going to love it".
Neither you nor Rúben liked to get too full eating all the little bites of food that were served before the main meals. But you still walked around the venue chatting with everyone.
"Oh, you served these at your wedding", said one of your friends, grabbing a pastry from a plate. "These are so good".
"What is that? I don't remember the menu we picked".
"Salmon pastries, you have to try one".
Rúben accepted one while you reminded your friend you didn't like salmon.
"It's really good. Is it the same company doing the food today?"
"Yes, it should be good".
Everyone loved your wedding, so you had given the info of all the people hired to your friend so she could get them to work for her special day too. And you were so glad to see they were doing a fantastic job again.
All of the bridesmaids, except for one, were already married. The first one to tie the knot had started the tradition of getting the most gorgeous fake flower bouquets made for every couple attending their wedding that was engaged. You were sad thinking you weren't going to get yours, since your engagement hadn't been made public before attending the wedding where you should have been given one. But your friend waited until everyone was distracted to give you yours.
And now it was the bride's turn to continue the tradition. You had given her hers at your wedding.
She moved around the tables and then didn't walk past yours. That's odd.
"For you", she said, giving the bouquet to the only unmarried friend with a wink.
You all realised quickly she had been waiting to tell you the news now and got up to go hug her, causing everyone to stare at the commotion you were creating.
"What are you thinking about?", you asked Rúben when you sat down next to him to continue eating.
"Our wedding. I can't help but go back to all those memories".
"Well, those are good memories, right?", you laughed. "I'm thinking about it too. And about all the other weddings we've had in our friend group".
Rúben used two fingers to hold your chin so you would be looking at him. He kissed you quickly and stayed close to you so he could whisper.
"Can we get married again?"
That made you laugh. You had only gotten married 14 months ago.
"Maybe wait a little longer so we can justify the over the top behaviour".
The food was eaten and then the bride and groom cut the cake.
"Remember cake gate?", asked Rúben making you choke on the piece of cake you were eating.
"Stop! You can't mention that everytime I eat cake or one day I'll really choke".
"It's a funny memory".
"Wasn't funny when it happened".
The day before a match, you and Rúben had to go taste the menu for your wedding. And when it came to the cakes…there were so many options. And you wanted to give all of them a fair try. Rúben, always wanting to be helpful, offered to try all of them but…he wasn't as used to consuming so much sugar as you were. And the result was him having some…digestive issues at the match.
You noticed him getting up when more people started to join the happy couple on the dancefloor.
"Let's show them how it's done", he said, offering a hand that you took.
Ever since your wedding, you had gotten into the habit of dancing around the house as if it was your first dance as a married couple again.
You put your arms around his neck while his hands sat on your hips.
"You've got that thinking look on your face again".
"Just thinking about our wedding dance. My dad took no time to steal my bride once the song was over".
"I remember my mum doing something similar", you giggled.
"And I was thinking that it was right at this moment that I could truly relax and just enjoy the day. The worst that could happen was an uncle drinking too much. But everything had gone well".
You put your head on his shoulder, turned to look at him. "I was pretty nervous the whole time too. You know I like to be more hands on to make sure everything is done properly".
"We have that in common, yes".
You both laughed and kept dancing. You sometimes got to see glances of your friends dancing and seeing the way they smiled at each other made you happier than you could explain.
"But being here allowed me to go back to the whole wedding and appreciate it even more".
"How so?", you asked, curious.
"It's like, even if I was nervous, I still can remember every second of the day. And now I know nothing will go wrong, I can just think about how perfect everything was".
"It was pretty perfect", you agreed, big smile on your face.
"I remember when you got to the church and I couldn't believe people were right about brides being even more beautiful on that day. I remember you joking about how sweaty my hand was. I remember your vows, that were so much better than mine".
"I loved yours".
"Thanks, I worked hard on them and then messed up".
You kissed him before putting your head on his shoulder again.
"What else do you remember?"
"Getting photos taken. Coming back to our friends and family and how loud your friends cheered", that got another laugh from you. "Cutting the cake, the dancing…all of it".
"Good memories to have".
When the song ended, you noticed people moving around you and then the groom was right by your side.
"Can I steal her for one dance?"
"Sure, where is your bride?"
"My dad got there first, sorry".
Rúben laughed. "That sounds familiar".
Your friend and you started to dance to the new song, which was a bit more upbeat.
"I'll be stealing your wife next, just so you know".
"She's looking forward to it".
You smiled at him. He had also been your friend for so long. "Good day?"
"I wouldn't change a single thing".
Like you wouldn't have changed a thing from your special day either.

Underneath the Black Veil: Harrison Gray Ch.2
This is from Ikemen Villains EN, Cybird owns everything.
Harrison: "Come here, you."
Kate: "H-Harry!"
Harrison pulled me into a tight hug from behind and pressed his lips lovingly to the top of my head.
(Oh, I don't know if my heart can take this.)
The smiles of the members that surrounded us grew even brighter as they watched us.
Follower: "What a wonderful display of passion! You two must love each other very much."
Follower: "However, I'm afraid we're going to need a little more time to determine whether you two are truly the right fit for our wedding ceremony."
Kate: "Th-That's fine."
Harrison: "Absolutely."
==========
And so that's how we ended up volunteering at the church for the day.
The organization's members watched us closely as we worked, trying to determine if we truly loved each other as much as we said we did.
It wasn't until we were finally alone that Harry opened his mouth.
Harrison: "You're a terrible liar, you know that?"
Kate: "Listen, I just didn't know how to react when suddenly put on the spot like that!"
Harrison: "Nah, it's fine."
Kate: "So, were any of the members lying to us back there?"
Harrison: "Nope, not a single one. Every single one of them meant everything they said."
Kate: "So... they're innocent, then."
Harrison: "Yup. Looks like the preliminary investigation was right. Their founder's the only one with his hands dirty."
(I see...)
Kate: "So this means if we want him to come out, we really need to make sure this wedding goes through."
But before even that, we had to earn the trust of the regular members.
One of our tasks was to play with the children who had come to the church for the day.
(Okay, it's time to show them just how in love we really are.)
After psyching myself up, we opened the doors to the room where the children were waiting.
==========
Harrison: "Woah there!"
A little girl ran right at us and bumped into Harry.
Little Girl: "S-sorry!"
Harrison: "Nah, that one was on me, sorry for not looking. You're not hurt, are you?"
Little Girl: "N-no, I'm fine..."
Harrison: "That's good to hear."
Children: "Woah, he's so cool...!"
(Oh wow, he charmed all of them just like that.)
Little Girl: "Hey Mister, can I be your girlfriend?"
Girl with Braids: "No, I wanna!"
Harrison: "Haha, thanks. But sorry, I'm afraid I can't let you do that."
He grinned and pointed at me.
Harrison: "My heart already belongs to her, you see."
(I know he's playing it up for the assignment but... my heart's still fluttering.)
Harrison: "Though she can be a little awkward sometimes, she's the kindest and most earnest person I've ever met. I just can't take my eyes off her."
Little Girl: "Oh, wow... do you think I'll be able meet someone like that someday?"
Harrison: "Absolutely."
Girl with Braids: "But if you ever break up with her, I'm first in line, okay?"
Harrison blinked before he let out a laugh.
Harrison: "Sorry kiddo, that's not happening in my lifetime."
(Honestly, I was a little worried when Harry asked whether I was really sure about this.)
All this time, I'd been wondering if he simply wasn't interested in marrying me at all, even if it was a fake wedding.
But the truth was, it didn't even matter if we got married or not.
Because...
Harrison: "Hm? You wanna ride on my shoulders? Well you're in luck, the very lovely lady over there happens to be an expert."
Kate: "Huh?! O-Oh, um... bring it on?"
Harrison: "I'm kidding, don't worry. Could you help me out a bit over here, though?"
Kate: "Yes, of course!"
==========
Once we'd thoroughly exhausted ourselves playing with the children, a few of the members invited us to a room in the back.
Kate: "There's so many dresses in here..."
I looked around the room in awe as countless wedding dresses lined the walls everywhere the eye could see.
Follower: "This is your final test. I'd like for you to choose one dress in this room for your girlfriend."
Harrison: "Something that suits her, huh? Got it."
Harry glanced around the room for a moment before pointing to one.
Harrison: "I choose... this one."
Harrison: "I think this dress would suit her the best."
Follower: "Understood. Now then, miss, may I ask you to change into the chosen dress?"
I took the dress and changed before coming back out.
Kate: "How... how do I look?"
Harrison: "...Incredible. Gorgeous, even."
He had chosen a beautiful jet-black dress.
Follower: "Out of the many dresses we offer, why did you choose this one?"
Harrison: "Because no matter how far into the darkness she might fall, she'll always stay true to herself."
Harrison: "Nothing in this world can stain her pure heart. So I thought a black dress would suit her perfectly."
(That's why you chose this dress...?)
Follower: "I see. Then let it be known that the two of you truly do love each other with all your hearts."
And so, the wedding ceremony was to be held at ten in the morning the next day.
After declaring this, the members vanished.
Kate: "We... passed, right?"
Harrison: "Looks like it. We still have a ways to go, but you did good."
Kate: "Oh, thank goodness..."
I breathed a huge sigh of relief before taking another look at the jet-black wedding dress Harry had picked for me.
Kate: "I, um... was actually a little worried when you asked whether I was sure about this."
Kate: "I thought you'd have no interest in getting married."
Harry stayed silent.
Kate: "I'm not going to lie; I've always loved the idea of getting married someday. But I recently discovered something even more important."
Harrison: "And what's that?"
Kate: "That as long as we're together, I'll be the happiest woman in the world."
Harrison: "...I see."
Kate: "Yup! So let's do our best tomorrow, okay?"
Harrison: "Make sure you stick close to me, okay? I don't want you getting hurt."
==========
The following day, I donned the beautiful jet-black dress once more.
And together with Harry, I made my way to the wedding chapel.
It wasn't long before a man emerged, wearing glasses and a kind smile.
(So this is the man who's been killing all of those couples.)
Leader: "Hm? Where is everyone? Where are my followers?"
Harrison: "There's a second chapel behind this one, isn't there? That's where everyone is."
Harrison: "I lied and told them the ceremony's been moved there, starting from eleven o'clock instead."
Leader: "W-Wh..."
Leader: "Just who are you two?!"
Kate: "Who are we? We're just two people who love each other with all our hearts."
Harrison: "Just like all the couples you killed."
The founder's eyes widened.
Harrison: "We found the bodies last night. There's so squirming your way out of this now."
Harry pulled a gun out of his breast pocket and pointed it at the man.
Harrison: "I gotta tell the bride something real important after all this is over."
Harrison: "So let's make this quick."
