Bakugou had done his fair share of finding ways to restrain Deku while tickling the snot out of him. He’d lost a good several neckties to the cause, but it was all worth it to watch the nerd struggle and beg but ultimately not be able to do anything to stop him until he activated his quirk out of sheer desperation.

But Deku using Blackwhip to do the same thing to him?

That…that was just unfair.

“I’LL KIHIHIHIHIHILL YOU FOR THIS DEHEHEHEHEHEKU!!” he screamed as his rival and friend dug mercilessly into his death spot – the space between his armpits and ribs – while forcing his arms above his head with one of his quirk’s new abilities.

Deku was sitting on his lap with the biggest smile on his face, clearly pleased with himself for finding a way to repay the favor Bakugou had shown him over and over again in their years of tickle fighting. He giggled. “I thought you were trying to use my first name now?”

“YOHOHOHOHOU TOHOHOHOHOLD ME YOU DIHIHIHIHIDN’T CARE!! AIIIIEEEEE!!!” Bakugou tossed his head back and shrieked with hysterical, uncontrollable laughter when Deku began knuckling into that spot. “STOPSTOPSTOHOHOHOHOHOHOP IT PLEHEHEASE DEHEHEHEHEHEKU!!"

“I don’t mind if you want to keep calling me that. Most of the time.” Deku smirked down at him, knowing full well he had him in a position to make him do or say anything he wanted and thoroughly enjoying it. “But right now I think I want to hear you say it. I’ll stop if you beg me to using my real name, okay, Kacchan?”

Bakugou keened miserably, shaking his head as mirthful tears sprang to his eyes. “I HAHAHAHATE YOU SO MUHUHUHUHUCH!! GAHAHAHAHAHAHA PLEHEHEHEASE!! PLEASE STAHAHAHAHAP IT IZUHUHUHUHUHKU!! NO MOHOHOHOHORE!! I CAHAHAHAN’T TAHAHAHAHAHAKE IT!!”

Deku stopped as promised, sliding his hands down to his friend’s belly and scribbling gently there to gradually get him back down to a string of happy giggles before ceasing altogether, recalling his quirk and thus freeing the atomic blonde, who sagged into the ground, gasping for breath.

“Are you…are you okay, Kacchan?” Deku asked hesitantly, worried he may have gotten overeager when he realized what Blackwhip could do. “Was it too much?”

“Freakin’…always too much…in that spot, nerd…” Bakugou replied between breaths. A moment went by, and then he grinned all on his own. “Didn’t think…you had it in you…Izuku.”

Deku beamed. “I learned from the best, Katsuki.”

Hey , every !!

It's me, Science2048! Back on Tumblr after a long hiatus! I stopped the first time, mainly due to admittedly not yet understanding online safety. Also my account was later hacked, so... good thing nothing important was on it!

Now, onto the stuff that's different this time around: I'm not doin' a character QnA right now. I have my second semester of college starting in September, and I'd also like to get back into the community before starting that. I'm leaving asks open, though, and may have the occasional in-character answer. For fun.

Also, my DELTARUNE take has changed A LOT since last time! It's not even my only project anymore! First off, it now has a name: DELTARUNE: The Sound of Static! My characters have also had many improvements! Mike is still the same as ever (he's more complete if anything, I don't need to change that softy much), but a lot of the other characters have either been created or changed since last time! (Also, I'm a very big fan of the Oblivion Theory, so... expect a few DEVICEs!)

Speaking of other projects, I'll introduce them all soon! Probably just names and a brief description at the start, but I can't wait to start sharing my creations with you all!

Also, most of that QnA is no longer canon. I'm not really proud of it anymore. I was kinda rude to Krisei shippers in one of my post's tags and I apologize deeply for that. Also, I had no idea what "babygirl" meant. Genuinely. So, sorry, anonymous asked who sent that! I know what it means now, it's just a term of endearment! ... I think! (That Queen interview is, however, still canon. It's probably going to be revamped, but I still enjoy it.)

Finally, I've been thinking of exploring other communities. I'm still a GIANT DELTARUNE fan, and I'm going to be most active in the Ut/Dr fandom, but I'd also like to see the creations of fandoms of other stuff I like!

the tradwife movement is the same as it has always been - back in the kitchen, back to breeding - it just has better branding.

when i was younger, i hated pink. i was not like other girls. this is now something i'm embarrassed of - this was not me being a "girl's girl."

but it was expressing something many of us felt at the time: i literally wasn't what girlhood was supposed to be. this is a hard thing to explain, but you know when you're not performing girlhood correctly. it isn't as easy as "i liked x when girls liked y" - because there were other girls that liked x, too - but i never figured out exactly the correct way to like x, or to be interested in y.

now there is the divine feminine. this is the same rhetoric it has always been: women are biologically driven to like pink and ribbons and submitting to our husbands.

the problem is that the patriarchy found a better PR team. because yes, actually, i want every woman to have the choice to be a homemaker. i also want her taken seriously for her legitimate home-making labor. i want her to be recognized as also having a job, just unpaid. i want men to have this opportunity, too.

but it is no longer "i made this choice and I love it." instead it is a sixteen-paragraph rant about how selfish it is that my generation isn't having kids. instead it's long videos about how if you feed your children processed foods, you're going to kill them. instead it is "this is what womanhood is supposed to be. i feel bad for any other choices you're making."

the shame spiral is just prettier. it is large houses devoid of personality. it is the implication: if you don't have this, you aren't happy. the solid, everlasting assurance: women are actually supposed to be submitting. this is the default. this is the natural state of things. all other attempts inflict suffering.

but you can no longer say i'm not like other girls. you can no longer reject this image completely. you cannot find it revolting, even if you know that the underbelly is toxic and festering. sure, it is the same repackaged patriarchy. but the internet does not have shades of grey. you should support and reward other women! your disgust is actually internalized misogyny. not because you are seeing a vision of yourself the way they're trying to train you to be. not because you feel her ghost pass within an inch of your earlobe. not because your father will eventually ask you - why can't you be like her?

because they figured out how to make it beautiful: women will sell other women on this idea, and we will find the singular loophole in feminism. sure, she's shaming you in most of her videos. sure, she implies that a different life is obscene. but she just wants you to be happy! you'd be happier if you were listening!

and the whole time you're sitting there thinking: i'd actually just be happier if i had that kind of money.

So I'm leaving work and something darts in front of me, maybe 10ft away, too fast for me to see what it is. Peek around the tree blocking my path and I see this

Just like... a whole ass hawk. Dude's gotta be about 1.5ft tall. Massive fucking bird. And it's just staring me straight in my soul like this, even as I try to move ahead. It didn't budge. And there's only this path back to my car unless I want to walk on a busy highway. So I have the option of Death By Raptor or Death By Truck.

So I walk in the poison ivy filled patch off the sidewalk. Guy still isn't moving. Still staring me directly in the eyes. And I do this thing when animals are behaving strangely where I'll talk to them, so I'm just like, "Hey, man. I don't know you. You don't know me. This feels really threatening. I'm just trying to get to my car, dude. Can I get some space please? You're a big fucking bird. I see those claws. You could kill me right now, but I'd appreciate if you didn't, ok?"

It didn't move until I was about 2ft away. Again: I'm as far from it as I can be without walking into the street. It clearly wasn't going to budge. I walk past, thing flies up (silent, btw. Scary) and lands on a brick wall a little further ahead

Anyway. Weird guy. Nearly shit my pants when I noticed a bird big enough to carry off a fully grown cat was just... there, staring me in the face, unwilling to move away from me, a human, something it should see as a threat. I watched behind me the whole rest of the way to my car, just in case this bird decided to help me shed this mortal coil. 10/10 experience. Super cool guy.

thank you to everyone who has not only purchased the comic, but also had kind words to say in tags and through asks!! I am away for holiday for most of this month, and I have been/will be largely offline on account of this*-- but please know that my heart is incredibly full to know people like this story!!

A few recurring questions I'll answer here real quick:

Will Sacred Bodies have a physical print? Yes! I would like to self-publish this book after the fair is concluded and sell it at conventions and through my online store.

What are the Ba'It based off of? Their body/limb plan is based on pteradons!! with some bat and bird anatomy thrown in. Garaang are semi-bipedal so that makes the silhouette even weirder, but you see some quadrupedal stances in the comic and it might make more sense then. I don't want to post or talk too much about some of the minutae of their design, as it is part of the story itself. :}

What medium did you use for the comic? It's all digital; I used Clip Studio Paint to draw the entire thing. I use the base watercolour and design pencil brushes that come with the programme. How long did it take you to make the comic? It's a little hard to estimate-- initial ideas, visdev and writing drafts were intermitent at the start of the year; once I landed on the story, finalising the script would've taken no longer than a week of recurring writing and editing. It's the actual drawing that takes forever, unfortunately. I started thumbnailing around April, and pencilling, colours and painting were a 10-11 hour work-day commitment for most of June and July. (I lost a lot of work-time in May cause I fell ill, womp womp). I'd probably say it was 4 - 5 months of labour. Are you going to write more stories in this world? I would really like to! I have a lot of ideas rattling in my head for the Valley of the World-- the place that the folk of the Spire have escaped. That being said, I have a whole graphic novel to finish first! It has been pushed back on account (but not exclusively because) of me working on my SBCF entries the last couple years, and I don't want to neglect it any further!! (it's 350+ full colour pages though so it was always going to be a huge undertaking)

Tsumiki says "Thanks for the snacks, dad" and Gojo responds "No problem, Tsumi." In the next panel Gojo complains "Man... I wish Megumi didn't hate me so much. At least you call me dad..." Tsumiki comments "Megumi does that too, though?" In the third panel, Gojo activates his Six Eyes like a flashlight and yells "When!? Where!? Do you have it on camera!?" to a surprised Tsumiki. Page two: Tsumiki thinks about the various times Megumi has called Gojo 'dad,' including when Gojo gave them a bad hair cut, when the divine dogs bit Gojo, when Gojo made soup, and lastly when Megumi asked Tsumiki to ask Gojo to make snacks which is all represented in blue tinted drawings. In the last panel she has a devious smile and is labeled "8 yr old who just realized how funny she can be" Page three: Tsumiki cheerfully says to a gleeful Gojo "In your dreams!" The second panel shows them zoomed out with a lighting strike going through Gojo's shattered heart while Tsumiki has a cat like smile. In the third panel with a light orange background, Tsumiki is smiling while Megumi comes up behind her and asks "Why's dad crying?" /End ID]
