I'm sorry ppl are rushing you, don't listen to them. We care more about your health and well being than a chapter. You always keep up well fed between chapters and we are all very grateful for that. You always answer as many asks as you can and are very sweet and considerate of us and our ideas. I've seen too many writers burnt out by impatient and demanding people. I used to just block people on my old account who would be inconsiderate and rude. Work at your own pace, don't let people treat you like a machine, you're a beautiful person with a beautiful mind and soul. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

"Brother Ramirez," Cab greeted, pleasantly surprised. He wasn't sure Lachlan would make it to the Hoedown. The man's reasons for keeping to himself were valid -- Cab understood more than Lachlan knew -- but there was a part of them that hoped Lachlan would come a bit out of his shell. Cab thought it'd be good for him.

"...Brother Ramirez..? Lachlan." Cab waved a hand in front of the teacher's glazed over eyes to get his attention. "I'm glad you made it." He placed a supportive hand on Lachlan's shoulder, close enough now to smell what might have been causing the man to zone so far out into another dimension. He wouldn't comment on it. While Cab didn't partake in the devil's lettuce he knew it had it's perks for many people. "You enjoyin' yourself?"

Seraphim Showcase: Ava

By the time Tess had left him alone, Ava found herself in the company of another stranger.

“Hello, sweetie, I couldn't help but observe you're not enjoying the party, perhaps you need someone you don't know to listen to you?”

The stranger spoke sweetly, extending her hand.

“My name is Echo, what is yours?”

Ava was confused by the sight of the Winner in front of him, but shook her hand nonetheless.

“Hola, soy Ava. Yeah, I’m not havin’ a great night. Don’t worry though, mi novia is waiting for me in there.”

He points to the library/quiet zone.

“How ‘bout you though? You enjoyin’ it? One of us at least has to.”

“I have been enjoying it well enough, as well as I can go with the stuff shirt Seraphim looking over everyone's shoulders. May I ask what has got you upset, my dear? I am...an excellent listener. I'm sure your friend will still be waiting.”

“Agh, it’s the Seraphim like you said, mujer. One a’ them is my…well, I guess was my sis. But nah, we ain’t related anymore.”

He wobbles a bit.

“And THEN, I run into my old dealer that’s fuckin’ my sis - her high ass finally decides showin’ up after all this time! And now my head hurts and I-“

Without warning, he throws up on Echo.

“Oh fuck, perdón.” He groans, “One less problem for the night though!”

Cerethos grimaces a bit but returns to her cool demeanor.

“No, problem, dear.”

She sheds the vomit off by lifting it out of her clothing with her ink.

“So they all left you behind it sounds like, huh?...Yeah I know the feeling. I've had many people drop me out of nowhere. Trust me, Ava was it? Trust me, dear, people like that don't deserve you and your kindness. And you said one of your former acquaintances is with your sister? That must be difficult.”

She pauses for just a moment.

“You don't think...no that's ridiculous…”

“You said the Seraphim was your sister? Has she ever acted better than you and the other exorcists?-”

“Damn, all the time. They were always like “We can’t be seen together off-hours, Ava, or else the Seraphim will talk!” You know, that high and mighty Seraphim bullshit.”

He takes a deep breath, trying to prevent himself from getting worked up again.

“She really thought she was ALL THAT.”

“Sounds like she left you behind for no other reason than securing her position in the other Seraphim's eyes...but then why would she take up another Exorcist as a...partner...wow even worse it sounds like she's rubbing it in your face. Well, sweetie, some advice. Next time you confront your former sister don't let it go, she deserves to know how you feel. And if she tries to be combative with you? You don't back down! Those stuffy angels need to know they can't just walk all over you.”

She pauses and takes a breath.

“Listen, Ava, you deserve friends. You deserve to be treated as an equal. And if others can't see that, then you should cut them out before they cut you out.”

She looks away as if to reminisce.

“Oh dear, it is time for me to move along, more mingling to do! It was lovely meeting you.”

“Yeah, adiós!” Before he heads in, Ava calls out, “Oh and sorry again about the vomit. I’ll make it up to ya somehow!”

He wanders into the quiet zone, his eyes finding Timpani immediately.

“Ayyy, Timp!” He said, a bit too loud. Realizing this, he then whispers, “Shit, I mean, ayyy, Timp!”

He sauntered over to her, finding a chair to sit in.

“How you doin’, angelito? Enjoyin’ the quiet party?”

Timpani immediately brightens upon seeing Ava.

“Enjoying it m-more now that you’re here. H-how was the actual party? D-did you have fun?”

She hugs him around his neck.

“Nah. I ran into some people. Way too many people. Y’know, the kinda people you never wanna see again? Ugh.”

He returns the hug, leaning against her.

“I’m just glad to see you after everything. I dead ass need to chill.”

Timpani kisses his cheek.

“Come on then, D-Dove. Sit with me, talk...or we could just sit here, it doesn't matter. I get it though, I can't deal with a lot of p-people all at once. I get overwhelmed.”

He lazily sits in her lap, leaning against her.

“Ugh,” he groans, still feeling a tiny bit ill, “Yeah. Me too. Ever wonder why I hide out in the trash during lunch? That’s why.”

He hugs her, almost gripping tight.

“I shoulda stayed in. With Papa. I never woulda run into Las Amantes if I had.”

“Oh...I-I thought that's just...where y-you find your lunch.”

Timpani leans gently against Ava in return. Then hugs him back.

“Hey...w-we can go back to the barracks if you want to, I don't have any reason to h-hang around here. But...if you need t-to just talk about it, then I'm here for you.”

“Oh, I also get my lunch there. You know how much I love free shit.”

Ava yawns slightly.

“And sí, I wouldn’t mind goin’ back to the barracks right about now. Being emotional takes a lot outta ya.”

Timpani giggles a bit.

“Ava, y-you're kind of cute when you're tired. Come on let's go.”

She helps him up, gets up herself and grabs his hand.

“So w-wanna watch a movie or s-something when we get back?”

She kisses his cheek.

A small pigeon coo escapes from his throat as Timpani kisses him.

“Sure, why not? I dug out a copy of “Shrek” the other day that is just dying to be watched!”

As he walks with Timpani, he remembers what Echo had told him.

He deserved friends. Right? He had Lee, Sadie, and Tess. They were great.

But how long before they’d leave him too? How long before Timpani would leave him like the others? When that happened, could he really cut them out?

God, you’re hopeless. You really think you’re anything without me, babe?

The voice of someone he didn’t miss came to him, sowing doubt into his mind.

His grip on Timpani’s hand loosens.

I'm really glad you enjoy my work. I've only just recently (as of a little over a year now) gotten back into art, and it's been a bit difficult to get back to the enjoyin what I make type of brain thinkin, too critical an all (especially with not havin a set artstyle lol). I appreciate this message and in the future I'll focus on what I like about the art rather than what I don't. Old habits and whatnot haha

I chose the style for a number of reasons, actually. Not only is it much easier for me to draw in, it’s also a style that I always seem to find myself gravitatin to. I love art styles that have characters with odd proportions and thin-lookin limbs. I’ve always taken inspiration from more gothic art styles like Johnen’s style, and the style of Don’t Starve. ^u^This style is still a heavy work in progress, but I’m doin what I can with it, and seein where it will take me. ouo

I never expected so many people to like these after I made the first set of hc's, let alone my style of writing them, but as long as people like 'em I'm happy to continue! Well, I'm glad to hear that, darlin'. Shit can be tricky over text like this too, so gettin' some clarification ain't ever a bad thing. Trust, I can most definitely be an asshole at times, but I try to save it for the people who actually deserve it. Bah, bah, baaaah! There's no "softie" talk allowed here, though do gotta say I dig being called "pretty cool," heh. Yeah, that is one of the downsides to what we do. It can see easy enough when you're on the outside lookin' in, but once you actually start livin' it, you find just how difficult it can be. Not only from a physical standpoint, but from the mental side of things, too. Three, technically, though the third one came over a year later. Still count it, though, since it was related to the initial problems. That's understandable. Think a lotta people can relate, anyway, 'cause it does suck when you put effort into something and it doesn't turn out right. On the other side of things, you can't expect to improve if you don't work at it, y'know? Not sayin' it's something you have to do, 'course, but it's something to keep in mind. If you've got someone to help show you the ropes, then I'd say it's a good start. You could end up enjoyin' it, so try to have fun with it. C'mon, you gotta know by now to stay on your toes 'round me. You never know when I'll slide in some sorta pun or quip.

🎅 I love people, who present their loved ones and enjoy Christmas. Especially because it's more like a nightmare (pun intended) for many people and very stressful. I'm glad you're able to enjoy it! For myself, I love caring for my reindeers and spending time with them (they need care the whole year). Sometimes I venture a little south to pay a visit to my friends like the Easter bunny or Tooth Fairy or a bit north to visit Jack. What do you like to do in your life, if it isn't Christmas time?

I agree: it’s stressful, but - for me - it’s fun to go shopping and see the receiver’s face light up when they see what I have for them ^^. So yup, I guess you can say I’m enjoyin’ it a lot.  Ah, the reindeers!  Tell them I said “ Hi ~ “ I imagine they need care, but... it pays off when you see how much they help you and how cute they are. 

When it’s not Christmas, I like reading, writing (fanfiction/original stories) and going to that bookstore that has many cool things with stuff that I like.  You ~ ?

Vinny has a feeling Crona likes Rose a lot, which majes him glad that he himself does actually get along well with her. Makes him feel better about it all knowing theyre bogh people he trusts to be good to eachother. Not that their bond is any of his business, but he cares about both of them, theyre his friends, so how they get along does interest him at least.

He's chuckling a little at Crona's wording, feeling those thighs cinch around his head a bit snugger. "Slurry indeed" he chuckles, turning his head just a little to kiss one of those thighs through the other's cute outfit, rumbling a pleased little sound at having access to to do that as he dips them both through the doorway carefully and back toward where they'd ledt the paints, squatting to pick them up as opposed to leaning and risking tipping Crona off.

"Comple'ely fair, an' I did give ya th' option afta all. B'sides, I'm enjoyin carryin ya too, doll. Cant lie, ya legs feel damn nice near m'head." He's got no shame, gathering up the paints and brushes before turning again now that he's got it all, ready to head toward where Crona directs him to the next room they'll be working on.
