I first met Ardeth 10 years ago. His character looked like a rose carved from alabaster. My character Xam, told him he was beautiful. That's how our friendship started.

We weren't close friends initially. The next time I would meet him was during Southsun's introduction and my character got stuck in the Karka Queen's boss chest. Ardeth was a mesmer then, and had to portal me out of it. Over the years we would sometimes run in to each other during World vs. World. But more often than not I would see him in Divinity's Reach. Your eyes would be helplessly drawn to him and over the years he found new ways to make his character appear more stunning. This past year we became closer. I would say good friends. We even roleplayed together. We spent a lot of time just chatting in to the long hours of the night. He was the most generous of heart and spirit, the kindest and most thoughtful person you could ever meet. I believe I've been blessed to even know him. And I already miss him so much.

man. Akira Toriyama is dead. I don't even know what to say.

Dragon Ball was the series that pushed me to really go into stories. It was, for lack of a better word, iconic. There are so many moments from DB that stand out in my mind to this day.

Toriyama was a master of his craft. And he has contributed so much more than Dragon Ball! Dr. Slump, Chrono Trigger, and more.

So many artists wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for Toriyama's influence. His work has changed the landscape of pop culture and art forever. I don't quite think we'll see another storyteller like him again, not for a long, long time at least.

I guess what i'm saying is that the world has lost one of it's brightest creative sparks. But others will carry it's light forward.

Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. Your legacy will be remembered forever.

Was going to get a $2500 but the Canadian Gov decided nah and clawed it back to pay back my CERB that I didn't even get told I owed yet. My whole hope of finally buying some new clothes (work clothes at that) and bedding is caput. I just wanted some breathing room for a few months where I wasn't just barely making the bills and rent. Anyone wanna commission m for anything? Writing? fanvid? Fuck, I'll even try to draw shit at this point
