i don't know if you know them besides accidently confusing their name for oneus or onf like most kpop stans but do you have an opinion on onlyoneof? They self admittedly are aiming to be a "concept" focused group and their comeback in april libido got A LOT of people talking (good and bad). I always appreciate hearing your thoughts

i do know onlyoneof! i like them quite a lot, someone asked me about libido back in april, and i'm really glad they're still sort of active since they just dropped a trailer for instinct pt ii. i was worried they got nerfed after love left, because that was really out of left field, but it looks like they're still making music at least, even if they aren't doing large scale promos. i really like their music; i actually think libido might be my least favourite title track of theirs musically, just because wow their title tracks are good. my favourite is dora maar, which honestly i don't know if they can ever top in terms of sound or choreography. i can see why they're flops (complimentary); their music isn't a typical boy group sound and leans a little more towards k-indie, so it makes it a bit harder to appeal to the general kpop fan, since they don't sound like a 4th gen group. their choreo is also atypical too, because although they're all good dancers, they're probably one of the only boy groups that's not doing insanely demanding and fast choreo. their choreographer is really smart and also very creative, they're very good at making interesting formation changes and also speed/emphasis changes, which are actually very difficult to pull off. in a song of ice & fire you can see how variable the speed of their movements are, and how the still points are used for emphasis. their malamente cover is also a great example of this (tbh so is most of their choreo, these are just the two that i noticed it first). other than the fact that their choreo is often has lot more contact other groups, it's also just....really weird sometimes? the sage choreography and knk's knock sit at the same table for sure. also yoojung has absolutely fucking impeccable hand positioning, i wouldn't be surprised to learn that he has some ballet or even some kind of traditional dance training.

oh and i really like their mvs too! i think angel is my favourite aesthetically, because it's got that weird surreal tech nonsense that i'm a big fan of, but i also like both sage and savanna (and libido, but i said that in my post about that). they have a lot of unconventional energy and aesthetic sense and i hope they can stick it though their flop era. not much else to say other than the instinct pt ii trailer looks really good and i'm excited to see what the whole comeback looks+sounds like.

for rtk: heroine, reveal (catching fire), be mine, it's raining, the we must love, quasi una fantasia, photo!!!!! also tbz and i think? onf's intro perfs!!! maybe golchas too? it was either onf or golcha or both honestly i can't remember but i remember there being smth i rlly liked in there!! i really liked come back home & basquiat & new world but more as songs than . the perfs (or ok i liked the perfs in the mvs more than on the show). lit perf gets bonus points for having rapper seoho. i literally listen to this version more than the original song because of that verse. it makes me go a bit insane. it's ranked like 2 or 3 songs higher than the original version in my oneus song ranking i think. yeah.

heroine makes me cry to this day i really genuinely love it so much it's insane. like. everything about it. like if u wanted my commentary i would just pause literally every 2 seconds to point out smth i like or just to cry about it all? ALSO CHANGMIN'S SMILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sighs ok moving on, reveal is iconic it doesn't need an explanation i think. i think we all get it. i was rewatching it recently nd i noticed that literally every time i see the moment when hyunjae runs up to the . things they lift whatever. if i'm watching the show cut w the others' reactions i literally have this a bit insane hehehhehehehe laugh like. am i ok. like hehehehe ure not ready for this (and neither am i). also i literally can't listen to the original version of reveal since this came out and i wish i was kidding but i'm really not like i literally just listen to this one. be mine is just beautiful to look at also romeo youngjo that's all thank u. also seoho during the last chorus (i think? im literally doing this from memory im sorrykdsfk) ..... yeah ... idk it's really nice and i think choosing romeo & juliet as the concept for this song was a great idea (nd i literally don't know how u come up with that. but it's so great). i like the storytelling in this one i rlly do <3 it's raining is the queen of performances no one does it like them!!!!!!!! like i genuinely thought i wouldn't be that attached to this perf when i first saw it? like funnily enough i was just like yea it's nice but whatever. but then it would randomly play in my head and i just couldn't stop it? and then i became obsessed. it's so fun...it's a little festival...also they literally made it's raining their song it's so. god it's so good. i'm going to lose my mind if i keep going. as for we must love well 1) [at the time it was] my fave onf title track? and the concept they chose for the performance just was like .... they literally did it for me it's so insanely just .. exactly what i would have wanted it's everything i love ?? ... it's so . i still kinda can't believe that performance exists like . i forgot to mention it at first because i keep forgetting about it because like . it can't be real???

for kingdom: love poem, i'll be your man, back door, move. i also remember being rlly excited for o sole mio (the red wedding) but i genuinely can't remember if i ended up liking it or not?

love poem is absolutely legendary i'm not gonna write a whole essay abt that, i'll be your man gave me everything i wanted (fave btob song, skz beloveds, those outfits were rlly pretty, blue hair jisung again!!!!!!!!!! nd neck tattoo..), and btob are so powerful that they made me appreciate back door how did they do that. i dont like back door. how did they do that. what did they do. how. and finally sf9 doing move was . . . everything i think we all get it i dont think anyone would dare to disagree

I watched all the videos you linked and then some and I am back to say, I should have given them a chance sooner. They are so talented! I was nervous when I saw you mentioned they didn't have a rapper. I tend to bias rappers so I was worried I wouldn't click with them but nope, they are great!

I watched the videos in the order you listed and then found performance videos for all the mv ones to be able to see the choreo too. You'd thought I might have heard We Must Love but I think I'd actually heard Why before. That synth part is really distinctive and I loved it. Though, that's also true for We Must Love lol All of the groups I stan have a mv that was the one I watched and was like... yep sold. Oneus was Come Back Home, a.c.e was Undercover, and now ONF it was New World. It really just blew me away! It might also be that the opening was when I realized I'm likely to bias Hyojin or Seungjun. (Do fans actually call him J-Us? It sounds like jesus and that feels weird to me.)

I really liked their choreo. I'm not a dancer and know nothing about dance but I've started noticing some groups have a signature style. For ONF it seems like they almost have more contemporary feel sometimes? Like the hop step thing, most obvious in Fly me to the Moon but was part of other choreo, almost seems like tap? But yeah, all the songs were great! Gepetto was maybe not quiet my taste but yayaya with the violin was awesome! Beautiful beautiful was fun. And Fly Me to the Moon with the saxaphone! Also... I don't declare a bias until I see more of them off stage but Hyojin with the pink hair was... distracting in a good way.

Okay, I'm sorry to bug you again but I had to come back to say that I listened to the it's live band version of Beautiful Beautiful and the acapella part near the end... asldfkjasldkm 😲🤯🤯😍😍😍👏👏👏👑 my ears are blessed. The mv version is good but knowing its "live" and seeing them each doing their part... I'm just... that's some talent right there. Its official, we stan.

i mean onf does technically have a rapper (wyatt) but most fuse agree that he should be a singer instead lol hes got a beautiful voice. also i must applaud you on how much effort you put into this! even looking into choreo... love it. also no, (most) fans dont really call him j-us, either juice (as a nickname) or just seungjun.

YESSSS their dancing!!! its SO GOOD. in a world where boy group dances tend to be hard hitting and all about being masculine, onf shines with their fluid, smooth and soft(er) motions. hyojin is just. distracting in general believe me i get it. im excited to see who you lean towards for your bias tho!

hmm not a lot of onf's behind the scenes videos are subbed, especially their earlier stuff, but i definitely recommend their self-shot b side music videos! the self cams, i mean. but ESPECIALLY the good good one! this isnt behind the scenes but i must plug in my two favorite dance covers and by that i mean. just LOOK AT YUTO....

... sorry. ANYWAY a bunch of the part switches and halloween videos are really fun to watch even if you dont know whats going on. and of course my personal favorite video of theirs is their "changing" video where they show how stylists cut their hair and dyed it for their debut. fascinating stuff tbh

i'm glad you could agree with your friends on that oof and yes i do, sadly,,,, i'm so stressed just thinking about it sFJGDJS i'm from spain ! here we start the first semester on october 1st so exams are on february, and then second semester starts right after the exams and the next exams are in june,,, it's so sad how uni makes exams all together in like two weeks it stresses me so much most of the times it doesn't even feel rewarding when i pass because the stress is bigger than the relief

im not a party person either, like maybe a small group of people but my family doesnt do anything and my friends are all with family so im just like. now what. and yeah thats why i work lol i work as a delivery driver so those tips are $$$ on new years!

if i had not worked for so many years so far it would be hard to work and go to school but ive been working since i was 16 (so like. 6 years ago) so i got used to it i guess and ive only ever had 1 year of college where i didnt work at all. im the type of person who Needs a routine and a job is a great way for me to get out of the house lol. 

yes ive been to many kpop concerts luckily!!!! i live (kind of) near chicago which most groups go to if they come to the US. its nice being an adult bc now i can spend my money on kpop concerts and no one can say anything lol anyways yes ive been lucky. i went to KCON LA in 2018, and besides that in concert specifically ive seen: seventeen (about to be twice in jan) vav (about to be 3 times in feb) pentagon, imfact, and the rose! theyre all soo good 

and i would LOVE to see onf!! i really want studio pav to bring them bc they have such good benefits for cheap (which is why ill be seeing vav a third time lmao) they have fansigns as well as snapshots which are personal polaroid pics. studio pav has my HEART even if they get expensive recently

i heard ateez is great live im sure youll have a great time!!! its also always nice to go with a friend even tho im sure youll make so many more at the concert lol. is this your first one to see? oh i also wanted to ask when youll be graduating? out of curiosity!

I feel you! I used to be a big multi but svt really has taken my focus and my heart, lol, I think that happens to a lot of people. Oh, and I haven't gotten into onf yet, have any recs??

Oh, and that's nice to hear about making friends at concerts, I'm a little worried because I'd probably end up going alone unless I met some internet friends in Philly (which is 5-6 hours from my hometown) although Eric Nam is coming about a half hour away next month 👀

Ireland sounds gorgeous and there's nothing better than learning history at the place of origin! And no, I don't speak mandarin/chinese. I'd LOVE to but it seems so hard 😭 maybe my last semester I can squeeze it in as an elective (or Korean)!

lol yeah ive always been multi and still am, but svt truly passed the test of time! OHHHH BOY if u ask me about onf... i will try to keep it to a minimum. but who would i be if i did not mention fly me to the moon (aka the best song ever with a saxophone dance break) also ALL their title tracks are super solid but beautiful beautiful and sukhumvit swimming are what i would recommend. if you like any of those let me know and ill rec some more!

i really do love history, if i wasnt so into media and creativity that would be my area of expertise lol. i took a history class disguised as an english class so i got the credit and it was AMAZING we read a bunch of historical african and asian texts, it was really eyeopening
