Halflings, as they take on the appearances of other races, also grow to different heights. As a base, their average height is 4'2," but they can gain or lose a few inches depending on their surroundings.

This doesn't always quite work out in their favor: for example, it's very easy to tell an orcish or gnomish halfling apart from the orcs or gomes surrounding them. With the races closer to them in size, however, like dwarves or faunlings, it tends to work as intended.

In the end, that gives halflings a wide average height range of 3'8.5" to 5' (113cm to 154cm), which makes it hard to name an exact average, as population diversity varies by location.

So I'm more or less done with the Zooble design, but now I have a new problem of not knowing what to have for the background bit. Part of it is I have a vague idea of what I want to do, but I don't know how to go about it. Another is Zooble is pretty busy and has a lot going on, so even having a small background might be too much.

I might go for a more minimalist one for them, but I still want it to match the theme of "place relevant to character"
