Hey guys! Found out, like, two days ago that I'm going to be at TFCon Baltimore like, next weekend. And today that I might be able to table again!!! Very exciting but I have done FUCKALL prep.

yes it did take me 3 hours and 5 breaks to write 270 words but! i wrote 270 words and a win is a win
#also i did do other things related to the thesis that weren't writing#like finding more passages i can use and sorting them in the categories im gonna use them#it still doesn't explain why i only wrote 270 words in 3 hours but whatever#gonna eat lunch and then write even more words#im gonna set a realistic goal today so lets say 800 more words#and after that I'll probably have to find some new sources to use so i can do that tonight#and then tomorrow i can write 1000 or so words and be done with that part#that will only take me about 20 hours#and luckily one day has 24 of them in it so yay#jo says stuff#university update

Still debating whether or not I want to try for a second draft of the Hornblower time loop fic or just do some basic edits and throw it into the world as fanfic was intended to be published
#the thing is that i'm not sure it's getting at the things i want it to get at enough#but also i have such a backlog of projects and i want to get those done too#and start working on dragon king more this semester instead of fics :///#i think i'll see how it reads when i finish and then decide. hey ho. if it doesn't come out here there's always oracle fic too#also debating rewriting the hornblower/maria genderflu as full-on regency novel pastiche but that might be too silly of me#someone restrain me. i don't have the time or the bandwidth or the anything for this#hornblowerfic is at 15k though we made it!! it's kind of weird to me that they didn't bother releasing sushi and tempura internationally at all but at the same time i'm kinda glad they didn't cuz like. yo-kai watch was financially failing in the west by the time 3 released. i feel like if they had released sushi and tempura the franchise would've completely tanked before we got sukiyaki which would've sucked. honestly if anything i feel like it's more surprising that we got all three versions of 2 instead of them just releasing psychic specters but tbf i think yo-kai watch was doing well in the west when 2 released. 2 is just inexplicably what killed the franchise despite being a masterpiece-

made beanut butter cookie dough. hell yeah
#byrd chirps#we have a friend over at our place rn and they helped me shape the first batch into balls to bake#but then you're supposed to flatten them and they uh. crumbled to bits when i did that#i think the resippy was murican and the beanut butter is of course bri'ish#and for some reason bri'ish beanut butter is extremely dry and dummy thicc#that combined with the recipe calling for 2 large eggs when we only had medium ones probably was the culprit#so today i added another eggie#idk if it still needs another one but i think they're... acceptable. at this point.#I'd like to try another double batch with four medium eggs instead of three and see how that affects it#but first we need to see how these turn out#I'm not yet up for baking them#but i am so so happy to be baking again#now i just need to find some glooten free red velvet cake mix#or a resippy and ingredience for glooten free red velvet cookies#and i can get to baking my fave type of cookie#or i could find a glooten free yellow cake mix (which is probably more readily available) and make snickerdoodles!#anyways I'll try to post an update when they're done

Madara gets injured on a job and accidentally finds himself on Shu's doorstep and practically begs Shu to fix him up and not call an ambulance. I'm working on part 2 I prommy it'll come sooner or later.

A gift for Lis @snowchester-nuke ! A cowboy MadaShu AU where Shu is stuck in an abusive home when Madara offers to help fix up the fence around their house. Shu's father, thinking it would help 'masculinize' his son, agrees to this on the condition that Shu helps with it. However, Madara recognizes what's going on and helps Shu develop more confidence in himself before ultimately running away in the middle of the night in pursuit of something more.
