Mental gymnastics...

I am flipping out. That's all. Just my brain doing cartwheels and whatever those things are called where you flip between those high bars and let go for a breathless second and then grab onto reality again. Or this...

Too much Olympics these past few weeks I guess... anyway.

WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT! I may or may not mention scenes in detail and their outcomes during these long rambling messy posts beginning with the next sentence.

Before I get into it... kudos to the staff for keeping up with these two and for suffering many extremely anxious moments as Jimin and Jungkook drove themselves through NYC, as Jungkook and then both Jimin and Jungkook rode the motorcycle through traffic, and the few heart stopping moments when JK flipped his kayak over and then they took off down the river alone before staff caught up with them. Not to mention probably looking up the nearest ER/urgent care facility in case Jimin got too dehydrated from his bout with the stomach bug.

Seriously though, their lives and global headlines had to flash before their eyes when JK disappeared underwater under that kayak... so big applause for the staff/production crew for not shitting THEIR pants thirteen times too.

So here are some of my thoughts. I'll begin with the first episode...

Episode 1:

In the opening scene, I'm assuming this is Antoya Korean BBQ restaurant. They were talking about JK's sore throat and that he had to visit a medical facility. Jimin kept on about it. It seemed like JK's "stop babying me" attitude bubbled up a little bit. Let them be them. As you can see, JK adjusted Jimin's beanie so he could see his eyes. They were fine.

Pause and reflect: they didn't know what to expect with this idea of a travel show. The moment above happened on Thursday evening, July 13. Both of them were working. Jimin was still working on his concepts, photos, MV and whatnot, planning to finish everything for Muse in the coming months. Jungkook had a full schedule for promoting Seven which was dropping the next day. He had to get up early for Good Morning America concert in the park.

I'm stating all this for point of reference. Nothing is static. JK was in work mode: he had a performance the next day and also not feeling well himself. Jimin had been on a plane for 14 hours. Just keep these things in mind before jumping to conclusions.

In the next scene (the next day) back at the hotel after JK's done with his performance and when he's packing to go on this trip he's all in and ready to go. Hurry up Jimin!

Jimin asked him how the live performance went. As we know, the GMA live performance was mostly rained out. Before the storm came through, they quickly pre-recorded the performances before it would have been time for the live broadcast and then shut it down. Jungkook had to be driven quickly to the studio to be interviewed to fill the leftover time in the program that more of his live performance would have taken up.

Hearing Jungkook say "this isn't my first rodeo" was never going to be on any bingo card in my lifetime.

I don't know what he was scribbling on that iPad but it looked geometric. He was focused. Maybe it was something for the next week's performance, maybe it was a sketch for music show staging, trying to recreate that flower archway they saw at Antoya the night before? maybe he was doodling in Canva... we don't know.

Me either, Jimin... (this was the first of all the hilarious gems that begin to shower down on us).

They are both known to be perfectionists when it comes to their work. And we know they've also both performed when feeling less than 100% on that stage. Jungkook realized there were circumstances beyond his control and he took it in stride.

FYI, in New York City, they stayed at the Loews Regency on E. 61st Street in Manhattan. It is between Madison Ave. and Park Avenue and not far from Central Park. Swanky. The suite looks like the 2-bedroom "Park Avenue Suite" and runs $2100 a night... gasp. Yes, its the same suite where JK did his live after his rained upon GMA appearance. During this live he mentioned being poked with needles, IV's and shots in the butt as well as teasing us with what would become Are You Sure:

No, I don't think Jimin stayed in this suite with JK. Jimin's room had a smaller bathroom and a shower curtain instead of a glass shower door. Staff with camera woke him up.

To be that beautiful when rolling out of bed... anyway, I digress...

It truly was unplanned and spontaneous as if they were doing this with the idea of "let's try it and see if it can be viable." Even Jimin wasn't sure if any of this could be aired.

Once they got in the Jeep they started to find their groove. Being alone, just them, was what they needed. They could focus on what was ahead of them. The driving moments were some of the best for me.

We eventually learn that Jimin wasn't feeling well and I'm certain this is what Jungkook was telling Yoongi during that episode of Suchwita, along with the elbowing in the nose.

Seems like Jimin's stomach trouble started when they were at the first restaurant, the burger place. The bathroom visits continued at the brewery and into the evening at the campsite.

Jimin had some sort of stomach bug that kept him on the toilet a lot and he ran a little bit of a temp. I am sad that he wasn't feeling 100% when they were on the yacht the next day but he still seemed to enjoy it enough to find the humor in his situation. He was a real trooper.

It sure didn't stop him from eating. My man was very brave in that regard. Me... no way I'd be stuffing my face with a big greasy burger when at any moment I might need to make a run for the toilet.

They get back on the road and these are the moments that I wait for:

After arguing in satoori about who is the worst driver between them, they start shopping at Dick's.

And get recognized...

After shopping excursion at Dick's, they finally head to High Nine Brewery...

Jimin's first sample wasn't to his taste (again). His taste buds were probably a little off since he had the stomach thing going on... but JK's eyebrows say that his sample was pretty good.

They finally settle on a hard seltzer and a pale ale and relax for a little bit. Jungkook is still wondering what would make good subject matter to film. They are truly making it up as they go...

Jimin proceeds to explain and an interaction happens and I am not sure what to think about it:

I am going to end this post here because they are now on their way to the kayaks and that segment deserves its own post and I have too many screen shots of it to fit in this post.

Brutus and Deoxy were developed by both me and my partner after we realized that if they're gonna fight bad guys. They should have some bad guys!

this is a verrrrry late reply but i made some sketches back then and never really finished them so might as well post them now:

I think LBH and SY meet a few years later than the main period this AU focuses on (when SY is less than 10yo).

Basically LBHs parents are divorced partly due to a misunderstanding and partly due to tlj's involvement in some shady stuff she doesn't want her son messing around with. To SJ, TLJ is his extremely laidback neighbour that just moved in recently, who is occasionally seen with an incredibly shy little boy that he hears through gossip from the old ladies downstairs is his son with his divorced wife. Overall, SJ is very unimpressed with TLJ's attitude and therefore he doesn't really want anything to do with him.

SY who is a little older now, has a flourishing love of animals (constantly begging SJ for a pet) so when he sees LBH's adorable little puppy he goes batshit insane about it and quickly becomes shy little LBH's first friend.

A reluctant SJ ends up having to host sleepovers for LBH and SY quite a few times and SXY (who still doesn't trust TLJ to look after a child and keeps a very close eye on him) manages to be the one picking up LBH one day and SJ and SXY hit it off right away. They form a solid friendship: two independent career-minded single parents with enormous mutual respect between the two of them. And you know what, they like each other so much that they go on a beach holiday together (no, TLJ does not get to come).

Eventually SXY moves away somewhere much more affluent and far away with LBH in tow so SY doesn't see him for a long time until they are a lot older. TLJ and SYX eventually sort their shit out.... probably. i have a few more doodles on this part of the au so lmk if you enjoyed and i'll make another post :D

Hey I saw your doodles about the surface au and I'm hooked but I'm kind of curious about something what is his family doing do they know?

Heya!! Okay I'm not gonna front I haven't put too much thinking into the rest of Seb's fam and their whereabouts, but you've given me a wonderful opportunity to do so! ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿ the initial finding out about Everything™ in the first place could literally be it's own post though so I'll just be focusing on dynamics past the "he's alive and he's a fish and there's a talking computer strapped to him" shock 😭

Right off the bat I can tell you that Painter and Sebastian's sister are straight up besties, like- she was a little freaked at first (understandably) but the two of them inevitably grew to understand each other, especially with how involved the both of them were in Seb's recovery days~

The skepticism was palpable for a while; she is his older sister after all, and there was a lot of confusion about what exactly she was looking at. She was kind of the Boss Bitch what with their mother aging and everything, so a lot of the stress ultimately fell on her (even if Sebastian's stubborn self insisted not to worry about him/"he could take care of himself"). Painter and their neverending patience definitely came in clutch though, as they're very much aware of how they're perceived at first glance, but they were dead set on being proactive- really when it came down to it she saw that he meant a lot to them and she couldn't help but respect it (they ended up being a huge help when Sebastian finally had the 'okay' to go home, not like it would let him out of their sights anyway)

Nowadays they're regarded as family, by pretty much everybody. Sebastian's brother found them pretty cool from the get-go, but really he was more focused on Seb throughout the whole thing (when they were younger he 100% looked up to him quite a bit, present day they couldn't be closer :,3 he also did massive things for Seb's self-esteem early on). His mother will probably never be able to fully conceptualize Painter's existence, but they love to help her cook and craft so she doesn't really care for the meta shit 😭🫶

Now...heh....the stuff I'm indulgent about *rubs my hands together greedily* Does the fam know about Sebastian and Painter and their faggy situationship turned serious...... probably not! At least not to its full extent 🤔 They try to keep it relatively low-key, but they're a very family-oriented bunch so it's getting increasingly harder LOL. I'm imagining a totally not serious scenario in which Seb steps forward with Painter in tow like "guys I have to confess that the rumors are true I do in fact kiss this thing" and everyone is just. Unimpressed. Sebastian was never one for relationships back then so when someone Has Him it's incredibly obvious I fear 😭

Really if they did find out they probably wouldn't care at this point, Painter had already been indoctrinated into the Solace name for god knows how long now so the obvious questions were bypassed FSKDKSG

It was very obvious who their favorite was judging by the countless photos they had reblogged of skwisgaar skwigelf which again made sense the guy was a chick magnet.

Something that you immediately noticed was the fact they never seemed to show their face; you couldn't blame them. You didn't either. Maybe they were just self-conscious about how they looked. Yeah, that was probably it.

you, unfortunately, knew that feeling all too well. You got enough shit about your body in the real world all the time so it was nice to have something that you weren't connected to. People could just see your art and not the person that made it. Was a nice change of things.

It made sense someone else would want something like that too.

Hi guys,

so just wanted to say that I'm trying to be active here as much as I can, posting art or genuinely shitposts just to keep it active,, But sadly I've got too much to do in real life, things like school, basic human contact, just as simple as getting ready for school, making food for myself, keeping the track of time and showering, suddenly turned into something so hard, and too much to do.

To gain my motivation to literally do anything I had to wait few days mostly. And in the end, not doing anything.

I have my personal problems too, that made me to something really damaging for my health, both mental and physical. I kept forcing myself to think that I'm okay and don't need help. Which was wrong. But I kept telling myself that other have it worse and that I'm just overreacting... Which was also wrong!

I realized that after one incident, my discord activity went down, just like other socials. I can't get myself to text anyone. I forget to reply, and do that after 3 days. That made me pull all nighters too, to try getting myself to text the people that I forgot to answer or just stare at the messages, not knowing what to say. In worse cases I was too sleepy to think correctly and accidentally said shit wrong, and didn't know how to explain what I meant because of my sleep deprived ass.

I've been neglecting my mental state for so long, telling everyone that I'm alright and that I don't need help. I didn't want people to worry about me. To think that's something's not okay. I wanted to seem alright, help others with their problems.. While absolutely forgetting about my own. Sigh.

I just wanted to say, that I might be less active because of the stuff that's going on in my life. This is also connected to discord.. But knowing my phone addiction, I'll probably be mostly on discord.

And just to clear things up. I am not quitting. I just need to take care of myself, which I never did before. I will maybe post shitposts (doodles/ not so finished shit), nothing too special, just for the sake of it, but more finished illustrations (digital/ finished traditional) will be posted probably after I'm mentally better.

woah uh. i forgot i had this blog but i did more doodles of the au. which is also bein dubbed the peace in chaos au (picau/pcau for short) just for the sake of my sanity cause otherwise I'll never actually name it

au rambles/shenanigans below cut

uhh if it werent obvious it takes place somewhat during the Forces area? but the story is rewritten a lil bit. I'll b talkin ab chaos energy later on probably. only thing u need to know is I'm takin slight inspo from werehog sonic n fleetway super sonic ^_^ at least for overloaded amounts of chaos energy. there's a whole thing I'll elaborate more on it later in a separate post.

For starters, Shadow is a lil more involved in the story, and rescues Tails a lot earlier on (he spotted Tails nearly getting attacked when out on a patrol/scouting mission, and saved him). He ends up sticking w Tails for the 6 months that Sonic's in captivity because he saved Tails fairly early on after Sonic was captured. He essentially became an unofficial guardian for him, simply because Tails could help repair Omega + shadow could keep him outta danger. more on that later

Rouge still works w both the resistance and team dark, but she gives shadow information she gathers before she gives it to the resistance, due to his request. some work is better suited for different parties so she'll sort thru that on her own too. she's mostly an organizer

characters from SATAM & AOSTH are also gonna be here ^_^ I've only figured out places for Nicole and Sally, and I won't be using archie comic designs for any of the characters in this au simply for my own comfort (I don't rlly have an issue w the comics I just wld prefer to use my own material). a lot of characters may not make it in the full vers or a lot of story is gonna be rewritten, but that'll come on its own time

The characters will get full infosheets later, but it'll take me time because I'm also busy with real life, so atm I only have doodles to offer you. the au is gonna be centric on tails + sonadow but there'll be aspects of other things n ships later i just won't be gettin to it atm

oh dear lord it's been another year. 2024! can you believe it! i don't talk much on this blog because i have a tendency to talk too much, but it's my little new year's treat, so here we go.

RECAP

i started taking drawing "seriously" in December of 2020, starting to do studies and stuff, and each year since i've ramped it up more and more. this year, i did. a lot of studies. there's probably like at least 200 more in my folder now (not including the 300 days worth of gesture drawings i did), with things like painting, faces, feet, poses, etc. anything i was struggling with, i went right into studying it. my art has been mediocre for a pretty long time now, and it's only the past few months where i feel i'm starting to get the hang of it, which is exciting!

more importantly, i started posting a lot more on this blog. i really like documenting my progress, looking on where i was before and seeing how i've improved. everytime i draw some fanart, im like, oooghh i can't wait to show my (: followers (: !! lots of locked tomb art of course. i've been trying to nail the energy of the different characters, which is why i enjoy books so much, because you get a lot of creative control. drawing ianthe is my fav of course, cause she's my lil nasty, but also i enjoyed doing designs for characters i hadnt thought about before, like judith.

in addition to the locked tomb, we had some new fandoms that got brief moments in between iantheposting: Fear and Hunger, Postal, Faith The Unholy Trinity, and a couple of old ones too, like We Have Always Lived In The Castle and The Merciless.

i posted about 115 times this year, although most of those are shitposts LOL i love posting stuff on my blog and showing people my stuff <3

THE FUTURE

my plans? do more ianthe art, of course. ill be working on more studies, probably going to work on developing a style, and figuring out how to paint. i'd like to do more actually finished pieces, but let's be honest, it'll still be mostly shitpost doodles. i'd like to do more weird stuff. i've been messing around with some gore and NSFW near the end of the year, and it's fun to draw for me. i like idk art that evokes some type of emotion, especially discomfort, and so i find that type of art fun to do, so if you don't enjoy what i've done thus far in that direction, perhaps this isn't the blog for you. i really like horror media, and so i want to do some stuff like that too.

for specifics, i like western type art, a comic book-esque style i'd like to aim for. but i'd like it to be a little more. weird with it. i find comic books often draw all the characters the same, and make all the characters traditionally attractive, and that's boring to me so i'll have to work on finding a way to keep things weird, while also appealing in a graphic sense. the worst thing my art could be is bland and forgettable.

locked tomb wise... more tridentarii art. need to be really weird with it. i have lots of wips planned, like i have a whole page worth of just thumbnails, so i wanna get some of those done. also i had a few animatics i wanted to do. mostly stupid shit, once i learn how to do animatics, then we'll do actual serious ones. id also like to do more comics. i have some comics storyboarded out with my girlies, i like telling a story so, need practice on that. id also like to develop a way to consistently draw them, for convenience sakes, so i'm not fighting for my life every single time i draw these characters. oh and i wanna do some outfit stuff. i draw them in like. generic clothes everytime but i'd like to come up with a few actual outfit designs, that i can just reference back to. and, of course, more shitposts. lots of stupid shit in 2024 for sure. there was something else i wanted to say here but i can't remember.

began this year by warming up with gesture sketches (almost) every day. i started with 20 poses (30 seconds each), and then in november i was like. ugh my hands suck i need to get better at hands, so i switched to doing 10 hand sketches (60 seconds each). i want my art to be very energetic so it's important that i do these !!

anatomy studies of extremities because i'm flopping at those -_- ive gotten better with hands but they're still a struggle. i hate feet tho still

need to get my painting game up. i joined an art forum to get advice, and the biggest suggestion i got was working on my values, so i did various value studies. also lots of faces because my faces flop !!

random doodles to work on drawing from imagination. on my "sketchbook" pages, as i like to call them, i'm usually pretty loose and messy, since the point is just to be drawing so often these will suck, but that's fine. i don't think very much when i draw faces on here either so they end up being in my Instinctive Style i suppose you could say

ianthe wip. i was planning to do a few drawings based on the idea of her having Missing Arm nightmares, but the lineart was intimidating to me so i haven't worked on this one more yet /: also there was going to be a toontown gay homosexual toxic yuri comic that i was gonna put here with it but the page is way too long so umm guess that'll have to wait.

Ive decided im gonna try to expand my little blurb and write a full fic, and if I like how it turns out I'll make an alt and post it. Or maybe doodle a little comic, it's been many moons since I've drawn tho. I'm kind of stumped as to how I could best order the 4 facets of the idea to flow well, but in general do you have any advice for writing tickle fics?

Wade introduces Logan to a game where you trace shapes or letters (and at some point he draws a dick because it's Wade) on the other's back and they have to guess. Logan finds it relaxing even if it does tickle, it feels nice, not that he'd admit it, and if he keeps laying down on his stomach without a shirt on around Wade thats his buisness. When Wade finally gets his turn the traces make him all squirmy, and eventually Logan just pins him down because he's drawn a star 7 times in a row and he'd like to move on now. Did Wade plan for this to happen? Or did he not think that far ahead? not even he knows.

Awesome! Spider Anon it is! You sound like you have a lot of great ideas in your head so to see any of them come to life through a fic or a drawing by you would be very welcomed!

I don't have much advice because my writing technique is such a shit show operation, but I generally will get my main ideas and write out the scenes that are fresh in my mind first (no matter at what point they're gonna end up in the fic) and then work in my smaller ideas around them to fill in the rest. Sometimes I write the ending first, sometimes the intro, sometimes the middle. Surprisingly I always find the actual tickle scenes being the hardest to write. 😅 A lot of times I get hit with the writer's block and have no idea what I'm going to write next so then I just need to step away from it for a while to try to clear out the brain fog. Maybe even start writing something else until I figure it out. It would be literally painful for anyone to actually watch me write a fic. lol Sorry, probably not too helpful.

The tracing game sounds delightful though! LMAO Wade would totally be drawing things like dicks. 🤣 Logan would be like, "Why did you draw it so small? You didn't have to base it off of your own." I like him going around without a shirt on and plopping down somewhere to entice Wade to play the game. I genuinely think you're right that not even Wade knew what he expected when he was on the receiving end. lol He's over there drawing complex shapes like dicks, and he can't even guess a simple fucking star. 😂 You have such fun ideas. I really hope you can manage to write something.

I didn't get much drawing done in my week off but I lovingly call these two doodles a "mini series of people longingly looking at each other".

It's adult Cal and Jett plus teenage Mark and Aimee! I went with the results of a poll I did on Instagram which favoured Aimee, but it was SO close so I made Morrigan her middle name because I couldn't let go of it, both fit her well. 😂 Fun fact: "Mark" is Mark's middle name, actually. He doesn't like his given name and his parents agreed early to just call him Mark. Another fun fact: He and his wife have the same initials - A.M.M.

Regarding Cal and Jett... well. I'll just say that I decided a while ago that Jett will keep a distraught Hallie company on her trip to her hometown, for the reunion weekend. The girls are going to have a little road trip, and while Jett won't come to the reunion itself and do her own thing (she has never been to Aberdeen before, she'll probably stroll around and take in the sights!), Hallie will sure ask her to spontaneously join the former gang's reunion afterparty. It's one of these things that kinda fell into place. It's not my fault that Jett likes what she sees and wants to pick herself an idiot to play with?! I feel her, so I let her. 😂 Not saying they're gonna be a thing-thing or even an endgame or anything. I'll see where it goes, writing another fleshed-out romance is not a priority right now. I liked the idea so much, though, because, in a way, the two actually have some common ground and I can just see them bond well. Even if it's just for a night.

I also have some Cal lore that I may share in another post. That boy has been through some shit. So, in a way, the little distraction is good for him, too. 😂

First off I was literally obsessed with your demo. It was actually the very first thing I ever read on dashington and I was basically inlove with all of the ROs.

That being said. As for the changes I've read through all the comments, asks and replies. And it's... different. Not necessarily bad just new I guess? Because it changes alot of the wonder I had experienced playing the demo. So it just feels weird I suppose?

No saying I won't read it, come on I love your writing. I practically word vomited my praises on tumblr as soon as I finished reading it the first time. And I get you said the old demo would still stay on but there's like.. no point if it's not gonna continue..? If that makes sense it's just then kind of incomplete?

I also for the most illogical reasons feel the same way as others when it comes to ROs being in relationships outside of MC. Like if they were already in a pre-existing relationship sure I get it! There are many stories like that if you don't choose to romance a character in the beginning they get back with an ex they broke up with or they are with someone else where you choose a route in like the very beginning. But again hear me out I'm completely stupid for this!!! But whenever I play a game where an RO then gets like with one of MCs friends on a different route it just fucks with my head for that LI. Like I then just see them with that other person. And have a fuck you attitude to that character aswell EVEN on a different route lmao it makes no sense! It's not logical! And it's dumb! But that's why I play fictional stories okay! So I don't hve to deal with shit like that. Don't judge me 😅🤣

Kay long tangent aside.. I guess what I'm saying is the new changes kinda scare me. But I'm keeping an open mind. I'd honestly read whatever you post because of how talented you are and yeah.. some of the ROs are probably gonna get a fuck you out of me for being in a different relationship and I'll probably not do that route because of how stupid my head is. So jesus I hope it isn't my fav LI 😭 but I'll still support you and I do wish you the best in the writing. I do love the story and I do like the addition of I guess more characters. Just the RO thing fucks with my head alil. I'm sorry if that's weird to some people.

The changes will take a while for everyone to get used to, I think. But at least we'll all be in the same boat?

I do get the unsettling nature of seeing LIs romancing other characters while you're on alternate routes. The first one that springs to mind for me is Josephine in Dragon Age Inquisition. Seeing her fawn over Blackwall was weird. But, it made me realise how attached I was to her romance and hers alone, so it worked out in the long run.

Myrk Mire still isn't back on my working schedule yet, I'll let you all know when it is, and I'll try to keep you updated with WIP screenshots or planning doodles. Perhaps then I'll also give a bit more information on the dynamics of the LIs and the variables driving who makes eyes and who.
