#discovered today that the rfef didn’t even HAVE a child safeguarding policy until last year …… that’s CRAZY#euro 2024#Spain fans pls don’t block me I think several of ur adult players are talented + pretty but I don’t trust them with kids 😭😭😭#<- as in I don’t trust the rfef with kids . to be clear#although it’s pretty shocking to have discovered that there weren’t official policies in place to protect minor pro players from their#adult teammates until last year either 🫠 bc you never know 🫠🫠#I’ve spent the last week writing / reworking a safeguarding policy for the ngo I work at so#I am very preoccupied thinking abt this. whoopsies :(((#the more legalese and internayional best practise frameworks I read in this area the more I realise the rfef has institutionally failed at#there’s literally a unicef framework for treatment of child pro players. and an internayional consortium for safeguarding children in sport#there’s no exclude to not have adequate policy in place
