Kind of fucked up they’re making a new natm movie and just
Not including Ahkmenrah in it.
Like at all, not even in the lazy way two included him just in the intro.
He’s just
Not there
Even though the tablet, His Tablet, is there and is literally essential to the entire plot of the movie (as it is every movie and yet Ahk never gets the love and development he deserves but anyway)
They just decided to cut him out completely this time as far as the trailer shows??? Which like, what the fuck my dude.
They continue to rob of us of the excellent comedy of putting Ahk and Kah in the same movie and frankly I’m sick of it

The Betrayal (Adrian Chase)
Summary: You find out the truth about what happened to your brother, Rick Flag, at the worst possible time.
Word Count: 2.0k
Notes: This is my first actual Adrian fic! Very angsty, of course, because writing about death is always going to come with angst. Um, warnings for Peacemaker's racist father, talks of death, Adrian being his sociopathic self. Let me know if you guys liked this, wanna see more, or whatever. Would love to chat more about Vigilante; my inbox is always open!
Also should I do an Adrian taglist? IDK let me know that too ig
Tumblr media
You've tried to keep your emotions in check in this truck that's stolen from a veterinarian's office, knowing that there's a time for settling personal differences, and that time's not while you're technically on the clock. But as Adebayo tries to apologize about the betrayal of planting a fake diary among Peacemaker's trailer, the words from butterfly-Locke's press conference continue to play over and over in your head.
"In the diary, Smith also confesses to the murder of decorated US Army Colonel Rick Flag, whose death on a covert mission in Corto Maltese was originally believed to be accidentally caused by the collapse of a building known as Jötunheim."
You need to know. A part of you already knows that this is true, what with the way that Chris has been avoiding directly talking to you since the press conference aired. But still, you need it said out loud. Did Chris kill Rick? Was his death not what you were led to believe?
"Actually Chris, I give a fuck," you say, speaking up for the first time all afternoon. "Let's keep talking about this."
Adebayo rolls her eyes. "Not you, too."
"Shut up. Is it true?" You turn your attention on Peacemaker, who looks like he doesn't know what you're referencing. For a second, you think that maybe this was also one of many lies that the diary contained. "Is it true that you killed Rick?"
His face falls, and the breath escapes you all at once. Suddenly, it feels like the day that you found out Rick died all over again.
"It is. Oh fuck, it's true," you say.
"He was going to expose Project Starfish to the world," Peacemaker explains quietly, "and my mission was to make sure that information didn't get out."
"You murdered my brother!" He stares straight ahead, and the only sign of any emotion is the slight trembling in his jaw. "He trusted you. You were his teammate, his fellow soldier, and you murdered him."
Adrian says your name gently, putting a hand on your shoulder to try and defuse the situation from where he's sitting next to you, but there's no going back now. Not when you're seeing red and staring at the man who ripped Rick from your life.
"How did you do it?" you ask, standing up and shoving him in the chest. He doesn't move, but it feels good while you do it. "Did you look at him while he died? Actually, no. I wanna know his last words. What did he say while you watched him die?"
"If it makes you feel better, Rick called Chris a joke," Economos mutters from the front of the truck in what he must think is a reassurance.
Harcourt groans. "Dude, seriously?" You can hardly hear it, though, over the ringing in your ears.
“Oh my god. You knew?” Your voice doesn’t come out nearly as strong as you want it to be, so you walk up to the front to make sure you can confront them directly. “You knew that Peacemaker killed Rick, and you didn’t say anything to me?”
Economos is the first of the two to speak up. “We were given direct orders to—”
“As if you haven’t disobeyed Amanda Waller’s direct orders before. In fact, you disobeyed her orders on that very mission! That's how you ended up here in the first place.” You scoff before turning on Harcourt. “You’re my roommate, Emilia. My friend. You’ve comforted me when I’ve cried about how much I miss Rick, and this whole time…”
"I wanted to tell you," Harcourt says, finally looking at you, "but it just...was never the right time. When was I supposed to bring up that Chris did what he did?"
"I don't know, maybe when I started to trust him? I've been on the same team with the fuckhead who killed Rick without any sort of remorse, and you guys just—just let me go along without knowing the truth!"
They want to try and apologize, you're sure, or at least try to redeem themselves, but you're done. You're completely and utterly done. Turning on your heel, you ignore the way that Adebayo tries to get your attention, and how Chris still refuses to look away from the point on the wall that he's been staring at, and even Adrian when he grabs at your hand. You don't know who knows or doesn't know, and at this point you have no choice but to assume that they were all in on this. Instead, you sit at the very back of the truck, as far away from everybody else as you can be, turn your back on them, and cry as silently as you can.
The team awkwardly tries to resume their regular banter once you arrive at the farm where the cow's being kept, but it's a little hard for humor and sarcasm to land when you can't even look them in the eye. The only one that you're not mad at is Eagly, and even he pisses you off when he naturally doesn't follow commands and drops Peacemaker's sonic boom helmet in the middle of the woods.
"So, how did you find out?" you finally ask Adrian as the two of you work at searching your designated area to find the helmet, the team paired together in twos to fan out through the forest. "Was it as accidental as you joining the team? Or was it something funny for you and Chris to laugh at when he recounted all the people he's killed in the name of 'peace'?"
"I didn't know, actually."
"Oh." You sigh. "Sorry for assuming you knew."
"It's okay. Kinda seemed like I would know, considering Peacemaker's my best friend and all."
You laugh sharply. "Don't tell me you're bitter about not knowing my brother was murdered."
"Yikes, sorry, that was—" he grimaces, "that didn't come out the way that I meant it."
"I get it. My attempt at a joke, I guess."
It's quiet for a few minutes, both of you focused on finding a glint of chrome among the leaves. Finally, you feel like you need to speak. Be it the silence or the fact that Adrian's the only one you can still trust: once the words start, they don't stop.
"It's been a hard few months since Rick died. And then I go on this mission because it's the type of thing that Rick would do, and I start making connections and bonding with the absolute weirdest fucking people I've ever met. Soon enough, I can make it through the day without crying, and it feels like I can finally breathe again. And smile again. And laugh again.
"And now this shit, with the butterflies attacking and Peacemaker's Nazi dad trying to kill us and finding out that my friend killed Rick and my other friends knew about it. I should be mad, but I just keep thinking that I can't be mad, because Rick wouldn't be mad. He was always infuriatingly calm, even when he had every right to get angry."
"Hey, don't cry again," Adrian says awkwardly, removing his mask in what he probably thinks is a comforting way. "C'mon, stand up."
You're about to question what he's seeing when you realize that you're crying again, on your knees in the middle of the forest. Of course, the one person who knows nothing about emotions is the one that you're having a breakdown in front of. Naturally, this makes you cry harder.
In a repeat of earlier, Adrian makes stiff movements and pats your shoulder. "Gentle, nice touching."
"It didn't work with Chris, and it's not gonna work with me," you say, smiling up at him. "Thanks for the effort though."
"Your brother wouldn't want you to be sad." You know he probably saw this on Fargo, but it surprisingly does help.
"I know. But he's also the one who's dead, and he doesn't have to deal with this," you wave your hands in front of you, "this mess that he left behind. He left me here, and now I have to watch my mom be a shell of a person, and how my dad can't say Rick's name without crying. I don't even have Rick to confide in."
"I know what it's like to lose someone," Adrian says, finally sitting down next to you. "My dad left my mom for a dude. We haven't really heard from him in years."
"Damn," you let out a low whistle. "That's rough."
"It's okay, they're very much in love. The whole divorce was really rough for my mom, though. I know it's not the same as someone dying, but I lost my dad, and then I had to watch my mom deal with that. It sucks. I wish I could say something better than 'it gets better', but I can't, because it does. It just...gets better, for everyone involved."
"I'm not forgiving Chris," you say adamantly.
"Nobody said you had to forgive him, or the others." Somehow, that makes you feel better than anything else Adrian's said. You've already been feeling the pressure to forgive him for this heinous thing, and forgive the others for lying about their knowledge of what Chris had done. Even though the outside party giving you permission to feel your feelings is a sociopath, he's still someone whose opinion you care about.
"Thanks, Adrian." Adrian stiffens next to you when you lay your head on his shoulder in thanks, and you stifle a laugh. He's been helpful today. You'll laugh about it tomorrow. "Y'know, you're actually pretty good at giving advice."
"I learned it all from Fargo."
Now you do laugh. "Knew it."
Your comms suddenly crackle to life, and Harcourt gives the news that she and Peacemaker found the helmet. Adrian hops to his feet and, after a moment, offers his hand to help you up. "You ready to go?" he asks.
Dusting yourself off, you look up at him while he slips his mask on and nods. There's a time and a place for you to continue to work through this mess, but that's after getting out of the other, more deadly mess. "Let's go kill us a fucking cow."

Stormy Sleepover - Tom Hiddleston x Reader
I haven’t written in like, years. I previously wrote for Colby Brock at @colbybrocksmolder and someone asked me to write for Tom so I figured I’d give it a shot.
I hope you enjoy!
_________________________
“Did you hear there was a storm coming?” one of your PA’s, Andi, asked you. You were in charge of making sure the cast all had assistants and that their life on set ran smoothly. You’d been working with these guys since the very first Thor movie.
“I got a notification on my phone a few hours ago, but this building is so big I doubt we’d know if it had actually hit yet.” You pulled up your weather app and clicked on the “!” checking to see what the “alert” was. “Oh god” you said, shocked to read that most of the county was already out of power.
“I told you, call me Chris.” Behind you, Hemsworth was chuckling leaning over to read what you were looking at on your phone.
“Ha, ha.” You laughed at his cheesy joke. “But seriously, has anyone been outside in the last few hours?”
Looking at your phone, Hemsworth shrugged and headed towards one of the truck bays.
In front of you, you watched Evans and Tom training with each other. There were various scenes in this movie involving water and a big thing the trainers had been working with them on was safely landing in water. It sounds funny, but you can break bones or knock yourself unconscious if you land wrong.
“Bad news” Hemsworth yelled out, getting everyone’s attention. “This building has been running on generators. There’s no power in the whole lot.” He dramatically shook his arms, flinging rain water on you and Andi.
“No wonder this water has gotten so cold” Evans added, shivering. “It’s usually warmed, but It’s ice right now.”
You sent a text to the director who was in a meeting with the writers. You received a text back fairly quickly. “Let everyone know we’ve got 6 more rooms at the Hyatt Hotel a few towns over for those who don’t have trailers on the lot. Tell everyone else that it looks like the power won’t be fixed until tomorrow afternoon. There’s a whole line of downed power lines that they can’t get to until the storm stops. The generators only run lights and a few outlets and it looks like they’re going to die soon too. The 16 seater van is outside with a driver to take people to the hotel.”
“Looks like we’re done for the day.” You said mostly to yourself, with Hemsworth and Andi hearing you.
“Everybody in.” Hemsworth hollered out so you wouldn’t have to yell.
“Thanks.” You shot him a smile.
“Any time” he replied, flinging his long wet hair towards you.
“I take it back.” You laughed, moving to stand on your chair.
“I know that not everyone has a trailer in the lot yet as we haven’t actually started filming, so for anyone that doesn’t have a home here there’s a van outside that will take to you the hotel that has power nearby. It’s already super chilly in here, so I imagine it’s freezing outside.” You spoke so everyone could hear you.
“Can confirm.” Hemsworth said, starting to shiver a bit.
“There’s umbrellas near the catering tables and there’s a bunch of old hoodies and jackets in the extras costume bay. Make sure you’re warm and dry before you head to the van.”
Everyone that didn’t have a trailer on set left once they had their instructions.
“As for the rest of us, we have to hunker down in our trailers until this passes. I have solar power and full solar batteries on my trailer so all of you are more than welcome to come crash with me if your trailer is too cold or you need electricity for anything.”
You, Hemsworth, Evans, Tom, and Scarlett were the only ones on set that had trailers so far.
“It can’t be THAT cold” Evans joked, grabbing his bag and heading towards the door.
“Scarlett went to her trailer a few hours ago” Tom shared. “I only got here last night so I don’t even have my trailer set up. Are you sure you’re okay if I go grab my bag and come steal some of your space?”
“Absolutely” you smiled at him. “And if I know Scarlett, she’s already in my trailer. I don’t think her trailer was even hooked up to power yet. Her’s was the newest one on the lot.”
“Thank you, darling. I’ll go grab my bag and check Scarlett’s trailer on my way to yours.” Tom replied and then jogged towards the door.
Andi left to catch the van once you passed your notes from the day on to her. “Be safe. Don’t worry about making it back tomorrow. I will email you any further updates I have for assignments.”
“I’m going to head back to my trailer and see if I have any cell services.” Hemsworth shared after everyone else had started leaving. “I know my wife probably has all of the weather and accident alerts on for the whole county and she’s probably worried.”
“Be safe.” You said, taking his offered hand so you could step off of your chair safely. “I’ll grab the satellite phone in the emergency kit and take it to my trailer just in case we need it.”
“It looks like you may have a full house tonight.” Hemsworth Joked.
“You’re welcome to join the insanity.” You teased, throwing your hoodie on and grabbing the satellite phone.
When you made it to your trailer, you were pretty soaked. Even with the umbrella, the rain was insane.
“Thank God you didn’t leave.” Scarlett startled you.
“I knew you’d already be in here.” You laughed. “Tom is on his way. His trailer is like yours. We didn’t even get a chance to get them hooked up before this crazy storm hit.”
“Oooo Lover boy is coming.” She teased.
“Oh, shut it. We’re friends, Scar. That’s it. We’ve never been more than friends.” You started stripping out of your wet clothes and slipped on a pair of soft black sweatpants and your favorite hoodie. It was dark green with “Mischief” written across the front. There were gold horns painted on the hood.
“I’ve known your friend almost as long as you have and the way he looks at you…I’m just saying. I think there’s something there.” She teased, gathering your wet clothes and putting them in a laundry bin that was tucked under one of the beds.
You both turned to the door hearing what sounded like a woman screaming bloody murder. “Let me in” Evans yelled, banging on the door.
Scarlett opened the door while you grabbed a towel. She laughed at him, seeing him drenched head to toe. “It was unlocked, tough guy.”
“You hit an octave I don’t think I can even reach, Cap” you teased, throwing him the towel and going back into your PJ drawer for an oversized t shirt and a baggy pair of sweats.
“I was wrong. I was so wrong. It’s fucking freezing in my trailer and I didn’t realize that the water would be cold because the power has been out for so long.” Evan’s teeth were chattering as he stripped out of his clothes, trying to dry off.
“I think I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve seen you naked, Evans.” Scarlett laughed, handing him the clothes you picked out for him.
“Thank god you aren’t seeing the front. It’s so cold I think my manhood has retreated fully into my body” Evans replied, throwing the clothes on and drying his hair with the towel.
Both of you laughed. You started brewing a pot of coffee and turned your water kettle on for tea. “Well, Scarlett already claimed the couch.” You mentioned. “Why don’t you take the regular bed so that if Hemsworth joins, you two can bunk together. It’s queen size so it should fit you both comfortably.”
Evans crawled into bed, wrapping himself in the blankets and trying to warm up. “Where will you sleep?”
“The dining room table and benches turn into a bed.” You replied. “It’s a full size, so almost as big as the one you’re in.”
“Did you hear that?” Evans perked up, trying to look out the tiny window he could still see through from the bed.
You and Scarlett quieted down. Getting louder you could hear Hemsworth yelling “NO, I AM THE GOD OF THUNDER!” every time lighting would strike and the sky would boom.
“Looks like it’s going to be a full house tonight.” Scarlett laughed, opening the door. “Get your godly ass in here, you crazy Australian.”
“He’s clearly the superior Chris” Evans joked. “Are you fucking crazy?” he asked as Hemsworth stepped into the trailer.
“Possibly. Probably.” Hemsworth laughed, trying not to get water all over the floor.
Scarlett grabbed the towel Evans had used to dry off and put it down on the floor by the door. “Here you go.”
“Much appreciated.” Hemsworth replied, dropping his duffle bag. “Can I change in your bathroom?”
“It’s all yours” you said. “Do you need clothes or did you bring some dry ones?”
“I brought some. I also brought some fun. I’ll show you after I get out of my sopping clothes.” He answered, leaving his shoes by the door and stepping into the bathroom.
When the bathroom door clicked, you heard a knock on the door. “Tom, come in” you hollered.
Tom was wearing a long poncho with an umbrella. He had a large bag with him and when he got inside he kicked his shoes off, putting them by Hemsworth’s shoes. You grabbed his bag from him, putting it by the second bed you had just finished setting up. He closed the umbrella and pulled his poncho off, his black sweatpants and black hoodie bone dry.
“You make the other two look like heathens.” Scarlett laughed. “They showed up soaking wet and screaming.”
“He is a gentleman.” You gave him a smirk, causing his cheeks to blush ever so slightly.
“Is there even room for all 5 of us?” he cleared his throat and laughed.
“Absolutely” you ushered him towards you. “Evans and Hemsworth are sharing that bed. Scarlett has the couch. I just set up the extra bed right here, for you.”
“For us” he replied with a stern look. “I know you too well, darling” he smirked. “You’re going to offer to sleep on the floor by the couch and I won’t have any of it.”
“Tom, it’s fine. I have a sleeping bag and…” You tried to ensure him you’d be okay, but he interrupted you.
“If you try to sleep on this floor I will walk back to my freezing trailer so you can have the bed to yourself.” The stern look softened as he pulled you into a tight hug. “You know you don’t always have to be the one to make the sacrifice. Plus, I promise I don’t talk in my sleep or have crazy dreams. I’ve even been told I’m quite comfy to cuddle with.” He dropped his eyes to yours, smirking.
“Oh, if I must.” You teased him, kissing his cheek as Hemsworth finally came out of the bathroom. “Scarlett knows where the laundry bin is.” You pointed him towards the hamper full of wet clothes.
“Do I smell coffee?” Evans sat up in bed, looking towards you. “Come cuddle, buddy” he laughed opening his arms for Hemsworth who let all of his body weight drop on Evans. “Jesus Christ, you’re a brick.”
You laughed, pulling down mugs from the cabinets and making everyone coffee. “Coffee or Tea, Tom?” you looked over at him. He was sitting on the edge of the bed you two would share.
“Tea, my sweet. But let me help you.” He stood and started grabbing sugars for everyone’s coffee, asking how many they normally added.
“There’s pasta in the crock-pot as well if anyone is hungry.” You announced.
“Food?” Hemsworth’s head shot up and he crawled off of Evans.
“God, men are so simple.” Scarlett laughed, grabbing the coffee you handed her.
“You are not wrong.” Evans added, asking if he could help with anything now that he wasn’t freezing to death.
“I think we’re good.” You replied, dishing up some pasta for Hemsworth and Evans and passing them off to the boys. “Scarlett?” you offered her food, as well.
“Actually, I’m craving something sweet.” She answered.
“I’ve prepared for this one” Tom answered, going to the large bag he brought with him. “It took me so long to get here because I walked to the catering room to grab some snacks. I’ve got a whole tub of cookie dough that probably needs to go in the refrigerator soon, a tub of sour sweets, and what looks like a large cherry pie.”
“Pass the cookie dough this way” Scarlett answered. “This man has his priorities straight”, she laughed.
After everyone had sat back on their beds, dug into their food, and warmed up with their coffee or tea, Hemsworth remembered his bag. “Since we are most likely going to be stuck in this trailer until tomorrow afternoon, I brought a different kind of treat.” He picked up his bag and started pulling out bottles of alcohol and putting them on the counter. “Anyone opposed?” he asked.
“What a G!” Evans laughed, crawling out of the bed to help Hemsworth make drinks. “What kind of mixers do you have, Y/n?”
“There’s some cans of soda, some energy drinks…there’s some juice…and then we’ve got coffee for that Bailey’s I see” you answered.
Tom was smirking next to you as the Chrises started making a make-shift bar out of what they had available to them.
“We’ve got to get this started with a bang” Hemsworth said, handing everyone two shots each. “The first one is to us having a great night reunited with our make-shift family.” He smiled at everyone and downed the first shot, everyone else following suit.
Evans spoke up after. “The second one goes to our incredible, gracious, and always prepared host. To Y/n!” He downed the second shot, everyone following his lead. Except for Tom.
You shivered as the second shot went down your throat and looked over at Tom who was still holding his full shot glass, sitting next to you on the bed. He had a small smile, giving you a look you couldn’t place. Quietly he spoke to you “I’d like to add a few things to his toast, but I think it may take a few more drinks to find the right words.” He downed the shot and took a sip of his tea to wash it down.
“Who wants what?” Evans asked, making everyone a strong drink.
For the first few drinks, everyone just talked and caught up. It had been a while since the group had been on a press run or a film set together.
“Y/n!” Evans spoke up.
“Yes, Cap?” you answered, starting to feel the alcohol course through you.
“Truth or Dare?” He smirked. His eyebrow raised like he was challenging you.
“Truth.” You answered, staring him down.
“Hmmm…Have you dated anyone working on any of these movies? Cast or crew?” He asked, finishing off his drink and standing to make another.
“I haven’t” you answered truthfully.
“Wait, let’s not do truth or dare, lets do truth or shot.” Scarlett suggested, wanting to get a few answers out of you and Tom.
“I like it.” Evans said, grabbing everyone’s shot glasses back and filling them so he could hand them out as needed.
“I answered, so I’m in the clear. Hemsworth has a higher alcohol tolerance than we do so I need him to catch up. Who is an actor in the MCU you hope you never have to work with again?” You asked, hearing Tom chuckle next to you.
“I can’t answer that!” he laughed, taking the shot Evans handed him.
“That’s the point.” You laughed.
He laughed, handing the empty shot glass back to Evans. “Fine, fine. Tom. In our last interview panel together, they kept asking you if you were seeing someone and you answered no. You then said that you were interested in someone, but that you hadn’t done anything about it. Who is she?”
“Oh no.” Tom laughed, feeling the alcohol a bit himself. “I think I need to take a shot. Are all of these going to be so hard?” He grabbed the shot that Evans passed off to him.
“I think you guys just need to not be pussies and answer the damn questions” Scarlett laughed, shooting you a look.
“Right?” Evans laughed, taking the empty shot glass from Tom.
Tom scooted a bit closer to you when he handed off his shot glass. “Okay, Evans. If you had to marry one of your on screen romantic co-stars, who would it be?”
“Oh, come on! It’s gotta be Scar Jo! The one and only.” Evans laughed, putting his hands over his heart and giving Scarlett a loving look. “We’ve been in movies together damn near my whole career.”
“We would annoy the hell out of each other.” Scarlett laughed.
“It’s true. We’re practically siblings. Okay, Y/n” Evans rubbed his hands together like he was plotting. “Favorite actor you’ve been able to work with ever.”
“Why do I feel like there’s a very specific question you want to ask, but instead you’re asking questions trying to fluster me?” you shot him a look, trying not to blush.
“Hey, I’m just playing the game.” Evans laughed, picking up a shot to let me know I didn’t have to answer.
“Keep your shot. I’ll answer this one. It’s definitely Mr. Mischief himself over here.” You pointed your thumb to your side at Tom, trying not to blush.
“No, there has to be someone cooler than me.” Tom blushed, hiding his glee by taking a sip of his tea.
You looked at him, summoning the strength of the drinks you’ve been throwing back. “You should give yourself more credit. You’re amazing.”
You stayed in the moment for a few seconds, just smiling at each other. “I think it’s your turn”, Tom said, putting his arm around your shoulders.
You blushed, realizing you had just been staring at him. Leaning into his side, you asked “Okay, Evans. Have you slept with any of your MCU co-stars?”
“Oh shit!” Scarlett laughed, standing up and handing Evans one of the shots.
“Yeah, yeah.” He laughed, downing the shot. “I’ll pick on someone else this time.” He filled up everyone’s drinks while thinking of his next question. “Okay, Scar. Who is the most attractive man in the current MCU?”
“Oooh, good question.” Scarlett thought about it, going through the movies outside of the Avengers. “I have a few different answers.”
“Explain.” Hemsworth replied.
“Well, There are a few people I find attractive for different reasons, I guess.” She answered.
“How about you share this list and we decide if you still need to drink for not picking one person?” You laughed.
“Well, Hemsworth is an amazing dad. Like, you look your happiest when you’re in the messiest, most chaotic situations with your kids. Most dads are the opposite. They’re trying to escape that.” Scarlett explained her first answer.
“Valid points made so far” Evans agreed, leaning against the counter.
“Hiddleston is the fucking epitome of a gentleman. You’re literally everything women want.” Scarlett turned towards tom, making him blush.
You quietly spoke “She’s not wrong” in Tom’s ear, feeling him pull you tighter to his side in response.
“You’re too kind”, Tom answered to her, downing the rest of his drink.
Scarlett looked to Evans. “I think I have to go with…Idris Elba.”
“I want to be mad that I didn’t make your list, but that man is truly a god.” Evans responded.
The game started to wind down as it got later into the night. Seeing everyone kind of calm down and get settled, you walked around making sure everyone had what they needed.
“Anyone want water so you don’t wake up hungover?” you laughed, pulling some water out of the fridge.
“Here!” “Please!” you handed water bottles out to everyone.
“I’m not setting an alarm for the morning. It’s super late and I doubt anyone is going to be back on the lot before dinner time anyways.” You said, grabbing you and Tom each a water bottle before turning off the main light.
You turned on the small light above your bed so you could sort out your sleeping arrangements. You grabbed your toiletries bag and pulled out a make-up wipe, trying to clean your face since you didn’t really get to do your nightly routine.
“Can I use one of those?” Tom asked, realizing he hadn’t been able to wash his face either.
“Come here” you said, scooting against Tom so you could run the damp cloth over his face. He watched your gentle movements, feeling you run the cool cloth across his skin.
“Thank you” he said, kissing the back of your hand before scooting back in the bed and laying down.
You put your bag back and drank some of your water before crawling fully into the bed and turning off the light. “Are you good?” you asked, turning to face Tom in the dark. You could feel his hand reach out and settle on your arm.
“I am” he answered, running his hand down your arm, to rest on your hip. “I want to finish your toast” he whispered, scooting his pillow closer to yours. “What Evans said was true, but you’re so much more, y/n. You’re beautiful and incredibly intelligent and there is not a single person I look forward to seeing more than you.”
“I think you’re drunk” you replied, knowing that if the light was on your face would be bright red.
“I am” Tom chuckled. “I still stand by what I said.”
You reached forward and ran your hand up Tom’s chest until you felt your fingers graze the side of his face. “I’m going to have to thank Hemsworth for getting you tipsy” you laughed, teasing Tom. You scooted closer to him, feeling him wrap his arm around your back and hold you against him.
“I couldn’t have waited much longer to tell you anyways” Tom replied. “I was just nervous you didn’t feel the same. We’ve been such good friends for so long…”
You interrupted him, capturing his lips in a kiss. “I’ve wanted to do that for years” you said, connecting your lips in a second kiss.
“Oh, thank god.” Tom said, a little louder than intended. “Can I call you mine?”
You laughed, trying to stay quiet. “Please, do.” You answered reconnecting your lips.
Tom rolled to hover over you, deepening the kiss.
“Fucking finally!” you heard Scarlett call out, making Tom collapse on top of you in laughter.
“Right?” Evans added. “It’s been ages.”
“Fair warning, I am telling this story at your wedding” Hemsworth said.
“I think our friends are happy for us” Tom said in a much quieter voice, flipping the two of you so that you were laying against his chest.
“I mean, I’m pretty happy for us” you replied, snuggling into his warm chest.
“Me too, love. Get some sleep” he said, running his hand up and down your back as he felt your breaths even out.

The Medic (Part 8)
Warning - angst

Back in Cillian's hotel room later, the two of you were talking about the messages. Trying to decide what to do, work out who the threat could have come from. Narrowing it down was difficult - every single cast member was on set this afternoon, there was no way of pinpointing who it could have been.
"Paul, Sophie and Tash were in the queue ahead of you, so it can't be them..." He said, sipping a glass of red wine while you stared at the photo on your phone.
"Could it have been Anna?"
"She was sat with Finn by the coffee machine, I remember the death stare she gave me."
"Yeah, about that. Was there anything going on with you two?" You asked, making him laugh.
"She tried. Unsuccessfully. She just wants to up her profile and get more screen time. Fucking an executive producer. She was shit faced at the wrap party last series and tried to kiss me when I took her back to her room. Left her on her own telling her I wasn't interested. She spread rumours around set that we hooked up - I can promise you we did nothing of the sort."
"I believe you. She's so not your type."
"I have a type now do I?"
"Yeah - quiet girls who don't kiss and tell. Non-famous. Low profile. Someone you can come home to at the end of a long day filming and be relaxed around. Someone normal."
"Do you tick all of those boxes y/n?"
"I think I do. I'm sorry I yelled at you earlier.."
"No need. I didn't tell Helen though. She caught us behind the trailers after lunch. She told me off and slapped the back of my head for being a horny little schoolboy!"
You had to laugh - it was like being caught by the teacher snogging behind the bikesheds at school.
"Seriously, what are we going to do?"
"Whoever sent that has clear evidence that would either label me a sex pest at work, or destroy your career. We need to contact whoever it is making the threats. It's clearly someone on set. I have an idea."
*************************************************************
The following morning, Cillian called a mass team meeting for the final day of shooting. The series would be wrapped after this one, and due to everyone's schedules being so busy a wrap party hadn't been arranged until the following month, so he brought the cast and crew together with the illusion of it being a farewell and thank you to everyone. You were sat next to Kate as he delivered his speech.
Kate suddenly reached into her handbag and disappeared out the back, and your heart dropped. Cillian noticed it too but carried on with the end of his speech. Once he'd finished, and the room clapped and cheered, he excused himself and headed out to where Kate had left. You followed him, Helen close behind.
"You... You backstabbing little bitch!" You cried as Helen held you back. You wanted to tear her hair out.
"What?" She cried, backing away.
"Did your phone ring while you were in there?" Helen asked, as Cillian took your hand and held you close to him to stop you killing her.
"Yes..."
"Is it ringing now?" Helen asked, holding her own phone up as it rang the number that had messaged you both the day before. Her phone flashed up with an incoming call.
"Kate? Of all people... Why?" Cillian asked, completely dumbfounded.
"Because of YOU!!" she barked, staring straight at you.
"Me??"
"Yes you!! Perfect little you! Straight A student YOU!!! You always had to be one step ahead of me didn't you? Always had to be better! You know how long I've tried to get into Emergency medicine, and there you go applying for the position I wanted and you fucking got it, didn't you??"
"Kate, you didn't even tell me you'd applied for it!? If you had I'd never have gone for it!"
"Yes you fucking would! Just like everything else - you see something I want and you TAKE IT!" She looked at Cillian and then back at you.
"Kate you're married!"
"To a fucking loser! You KNEW I had a crush on him, and you couldn't resist could you? You said on the way up here that he wasn't even that good looking!! Took you less than 72 hours to fuck him though, didn't it? If I hadn't admitted I liked him you wouldn't have touched him with a bargepole and you fucking know it!"
"Okay well we've established that you're clinically insane at least..." You seethed. Helen took Kate to one side and talked to her alone. You couldn't hear what she was saying.
"Not that good looking huh?" Cillian whispered in your ear.
"Oh be quiet, I'd only ever watched one movie you were in and you were a plane riding terrorist."
Helen came back with Kate who still had a face like thunder.
"Give them the phone." Helen ordered and Kate, surprisingly handed it over. You took it and opened up the message app, deleting the photo. You also deleted it from her gallery. Cillian took the phone from you and threw it to the ground, stomping on it as hard as he could.
"That's what you get for calling the nice guy of Hollywood a fucking sexual predator," he spat. Kate looked at you both and you could see a mix of tears and anger in her eyes.
"Kate... I never once wanted to get one over on you. Never. There was a job coming up at the hospital next month that I was going to recommend you for! I was the one who helped you all the way through uni when you needed it. I was the one who told Dr Taylor to give you the job onset here! You didn't know any of that, did you?"
"You did that?"
"Yeah, I did. Now you've thrown away a perfect friendship because of some petty jealousy issues. Well done you."
"Y/n I'm sorry..."
"Take your 'sorry' and shove it up your arse. You nearly ruined us. Go to hell."
"Any more photos, footage, or stories even come close to the public eye and all three of us will sue you for slander. Understand?" Helen threatened, making Kate back down. She nodded, tears in her eyes as she walked away. Your legs buckled underneath you, Cillian catching you quickly as your emotions spilled out. You sobbed against his chest, nearly 20 years of friendship gone in the click of a camera. You'd never trust her again.
"Friends like that aren't worth it - she gets to live out her life without you in it, and you get to live yours with him in it. I think it's a pretty fair trade, don't you?" Helen soothed. Your tears easing, feeling him kiss the top of your head.
"Oh and I believe you know Doctor Taylor?" She said, making you turn to face her.
"He was my professor in med school.."
"Well he just happened to be my husband's cousin. I spoke to him about your little 'situation'. There's no issue here - you're not his doctor you're an onset medic - there's a big difference. You won't lose your license for this," she smiled.
"Really?"
"Really. He checked with the medical board - it's a non-issue."
With that Cillian scooped you up, and planted the biggest kiss on your lips, spinning you round.
"I don't have to hide now," he grinned as you laughed in his arms.
"Put her down Cill, we've still got a day of filming! And we only have one medic now so try not to hurt anyone, yeah?"

was thinking for toms most recent ig story it sounds like hes working out early everyday, what if u did a blurb where the reader does it with his and its like best friend --> something else ? sounded like a you type of story, id love if you gave it a go ❤️💕
oohkay so sorry this lit just came through this evening and I suddenly got v stupidly into it (if u put in a req before that I promise I am working on it I just got way to invested cos this is stupidly cute) xxxx
summary: what starts off as tom taking you under his wing and some sunrise workouts together might just develop into something more
“It shouldn’t be legal…. to be doing anything… this fucking early!” Spoken, well yelled, in between the fake strokes of the exercise bike and your pants. All you got in response was the two men laughing at you, no sign of sympathy at all, as your gritted your teeth - fighting against every body instinct to stop the movements. Your heart was pumping like the clappers; breathing shallow and rushed and your arms… your arms felt like they were about to fall off. Combine that with the lack of sleep from waking up before the sun did at 5 am - meant you felt like your were in literal hell.
Why ever you’d agreed to do these workouts with Tom and Duffy escaped you. Being the new and rising actress, with a new supporting role in the next Spiderman, meant you’d spent a lot of time with Tom over the past few weeks. Not to inflate his ego either, but Tom had been a real life hero to you. See, you were the complete opposite of his experienced and seasoned professionalism - this was your first acting gig. And what a gig it was, the second biggest part in a Marvel movie. You never really believed you’d get the part and even when you did, were pretty sure it was some elaborate joke, where Ant and Dec were going to jump out from some corner and go ‘ha its a prank!’ or something.
Yet somehow it was all still happening, you had been flown halfway across the world to spend three months alone on a film set. Well obviously not alone, but you knew no one - you were a complete outsider. That, really, was the reason you’d agreed to do these sessions with Tom. He’d offered half heartedly while between takes as you were moaning about how out of breath you got in that scene. At that point, you’d only known each other for a matter of weeks, he really hadn’t expected you to commit to 5 am each and every morning. What he wasn’t aware of though, was how ocmplerly stranded and lonely you felt here, hence why you jumped at his offer.
And yes you loved to moan and complain when you were there, however you were also so incredibly thankful he ever offered. Duffy, Tom’s PT, was a right laugh too and he took great joy in torturing you - and was also entertained by the new and inventive ways you’d insult him after he ordered you about.
“Come on Y/n, 200m more and then we are done, even your little arms can survive that.”
“Really … not the encouragement… I was looking for.” Still panting, face bright red and blotchy as you pressed your legs straight again.
“Tom? You wanna help Y/n out?”
“Nah you know… kind of enjoying seeing her in pain.” The British voice laughed from somewhere behind you, making you roll your eyes.
“Why the hell… are you not… torturing him?” He sounded way to comfortable and relaxed to be working hard.
“He’s got a stunt heavy day today so wanted to go easy this morning.”
Now that was a bloody joke. You were BOTH filming the SAME scene today, doing the SAME stunts.
“Did I forget to mention Y/n is on set too?” The joy in Tom’s voice made you want to do horrible things to him. Even though you felt like you wanted to collapse on the floor, you’d happily do a set or two on a punch bag right now - if that punch bag was Tom’s face.
Before you could hurl some fresh abuse at your costar, Duffy called time on the rowing machine, turning the display off and passing your water bottle over as you slouched on the slidey seat.
“Done good Y/n/n, I am actually super impressed with your progress” The stocky man patted you on the back genuinely, bringing a bit of smile to your otherwise grimacing face. He went over the chat to Tom about some boy shit that you couldn’t care less about, allowing you a couple minutes to get your breath back. As soon as you did and tried to dismount the machine of death, your ruined legs seemed to have other plans, shakily buckling so you ended up starfished on the floor, groaning at the dull ache that came with the sudden movement.
And what show of concern did Duffy show you? A belly laugh that echoed round Toms indoor gym making you groan again, throwing your forearm over your eyes. It was in fact the curly haired brunette, who came and knelt by your side, wordlessly balling up the towel and placing it under your head as you shot your eyes open in shock.
“You okay? Sorry… I might’ve taken our friendly competition a bit too far.”
“I just… just might have to gain the power of flight this afternoon cos my legs aren’t gonna bloody work.” Tom chuckled and shook his head at your dry humour.
“Oh I’m sure we can talk to Jon and get that arranged… not like Marvel don’t spend years crafting the script and storyline for a newbie actor to change it all.”
“Might I remind you… they wouldn’t have to if your weren’t such a dickhead!” You exclaimed, sitting up and staring at him with an exasperated look than only made him burst out laughing again.
“I’m sorry I’m sorry… I just cant take you seriously when you look like such a tomato!” His voice went an octave higher as he laughed at himself, the situation getting even worse for you when you heard Duffy join in too.
The boy was bloody lucky you couldn’t lift your arms right now, otherwise they’s almost certainly be attempting to ruin his pretty boy face.
/////////////////////////////
After a long day of shooting you and Tom were in one of the set buggies, being taken back to your trailers to change for the evening. There was a peaceful silence until Tom ruined it yet again.
“ Got any fancy plans for this evening then?”
“Well you know me, back to my lonely little old place and  frozen pizza - so living the movie star life.”
“It’s a Friday! You not going out with your team or anything?” He sounded so bemused at your quiet plans, and mention of a ‘team’ had you cocking your head to the side.
“‘My team?’ Tom until I get my movie star pay check I can barely afford my pizzas, never mind a whole persons wage.” You were still only three weeks into filming and although you spent an hour every other morning sweating your ass off with Tom - apart from that you’d tried not to impose yourself on him too much. You didnt want to look clingy and naturally Tom always had a mountain of people vying for his attention - you would go to the back of a long line. So honestly, you were still a bit of a mystery to him, right now you’d both only scratched the surface on each other.
“Really? I know this is your first big job but I thought you’d have someone here?”
“Nah… I mean I’ve kinda clung to the Marty on the camera crew but he’s going to see family tonight sooo.”
“Come back to mine. I’ve swapped Harry for his twin Sam, which is a bit of an upgrade cos Sam’s a chef. He just arrived last night. I bet he can one up any pizza you were planning on.”
“Honestly I don’t want to impose, sorry I didnt mean for this to be a pity party or-“ The buggy slowed to a stop and Tom instantly vaulted out of it, standing right infront of you and blocking you exist off the back sofa. Both of you were still in costume, Tom in latex and you in your corset-esque two piece, but then both wrapped in matching long line black jackets supplied by set.
“No come on I’m serious… Sam’s dying to meet you and it’d be good to spend more time together. You know, cos of chemistry and all.” The last bit was a switch from his cool and smooth, normally easy going tone - into something a bit more… anxious? Just like that, before your brain even knew what it was doing, you agreed, smiling broadly and nodding.
So barely an hour later, you were knocking on the doors to Tom’s mansion-ish rented Atlanta home which was much much more grand than what the studio had arranged for you. Even though you were here most mornings, this time it felt different. Yeh it was stupid, but you can’t help the way you feel and you were stressed. For no real reason… just, just because.
Thankfully, it wasn’t awkward at all  and you especially instantly hit it off with his younger brother Sam. Everything just felt easy and simple which meant so much more considering you’d felt so isolated an alone halfway across the world for your home comforts. Being British too, simply chatting to the two young men about your hometown and growing up was just so familiar, it really helped you feel less homesick.  Naturally too,  you’d fallen into a casual and friendly ribbing of Tom with Sam, making the three of you spend to majority of the evening cracking up (or in Tom’s case pouting at the abuse). It was a nice change from the two on one attack you got from Tom and Duffy that morning. You’d all cooked dinner together… well no, you and Tom had stood idly watching Sam cook an amazing chicken curry dish - which he promised to give you the recipe too. Honestly Sam felt like your long lost best friend, especially when it came to your shared ability to berate Tom for anything and everything.
About an hour ago Tom had stuck on the film, effectively shutting up you and Sam - thankfully for him since Sam was just about to get to some rather embarrassing stories of Tom as a kid. You and Tom were on the longer grey sofa; with Sam sat  the other side of the coffee table in an impressively soft armchair - looking as though it was swallowing the lanky boy. The calm, the silence and the comfort was only going to go one way for you though. After your workout this morning, plus all the running and jumping during the shoot,  after what had already been a pretty intense week, it was hardly surprising that you didn’t even notice yourself drifting off the sleep.
Who did notice though? Perhaps your brown haired costar who’d been stealing glances across to you ever since the movie had been put on? Because as much as he hated to admit it to himself, this didnt seem to be panning out as a normal job. A normal job is something you put your all into, for a couple weeks, and then leave with good memories and a good pay check. Yes, he had only known your for a matter of weeks or so but it already seemed to be unfathomable to cut ties with you. How would he go without your kind mannered abuse everyday? You were just refreshing, new and mysterious. And Tom was more than intrigued, his interest was peaked.
And it was stupid to feel like that…. Of course it was. You can’t fancy a colleague because things get complicated and awkward. Tom knew that.
Then why was he now delicately draping a blanket over your frame and smiling smally when you hummed in your sleep, in what seemed to be a show of appreciation for the layer of warmth?
Because you were his excited puppy of a costar who is giving everything she has for the job? Because he is worried and wants to look after you? Because he cares?
No matter why, in that moment you were contented and as was Tom. Oh and Sam?
Sam saw the tell tale signs in his brother. He saw the way Tom had been touching your arm or the small of your back just a little more than what would be considered normal while he’d been cooking. He’d seen the way Tom had been laughing purely because you had. His eldest brother never did anything rash, it was always a painfully slow process for everyone involved. But Sam thought this just might be the start of something. The start of a slow burn.

November 2020
The second the photos broke, I lost it.
Harry wearing a wedding ring on the set of his new film sent me reeling in a pit of lust and wanting unlike any other. I spent my entire afternoon clenching my thighs together and avoiding small talk with coworkers. I was meant to fly out on Friday afternoon to visit him for the weekend, but I was struggling to hold it together. The wedding band on his finger was taunting me from two thousand miles away and I was caving. Anna had no problem with me disappearing a little early, so long as I had my laptop with me and my articles submitted.
My flight was switched for Thursday morning instead of Friday evening as originally planned. I had to jump through some hoops to ensure no one actually saw me entering JFK or leaving LAX. Having pap photos taken of me would certainly ruin my surprise. I spent too much time hatching my plan for a group of sleazy men with camera’s to ruin it.
“Why are you dressed like that?” Harry rubbed at his eyes, his voice scratchy and his brain groggy due to the early hour. “You look like you’re going on a run.”
“I’m doing a bunch of errands for Anna today, so I decided to dress casual.” I shrugged, shifting around in my private lounge seat at the airport. “I’m waiting for a friend of hers to get off their flight before I take them into the office.”
“Thought you were hopping on your flight a little early to surprise me.” He pouted, his eyes shining under the dim lighting. “Made my heart race a little.”
“I wish I could, darling.” I said softly. “I miss you so much already and it’s barely been two weeks.”
“I know, it sucks.” He inhaled sharply, shaking his head. “Only one more sleep and then we’ll be together for the weekend.”
“I can’t wait, squid.” I said softly. “I’ll talk to you later today, okay? Don’t be upset if I can’t answer a text or anything, I’ll be so busy with Anna’s errands-”
“S’alright, honey.” He gave me a reassuring smile. “I’ll be on set so I might not be able to text as often either.”
“Alright.” I said. “I love you.”
“I love you.” He blew a kiss to the camera and I caught it, pressing my fingers to my cheek with a soft giggle. “Have a great day, honey.”
“You too, squid.”
After I hung up with Harry, I jumped into planning mode.
I already had the address to the rental house and a copy of the key. Harry had sent it to me the moment he got one himself just in case I ever wanted to come visit. We both knew that flight times and his filming schedule might not line up perfectly, so it didn’t hurt to have a key just in case I had to drive from LAX to Palm Springs on my own. I planned on stopping at the Malibu house to steal Roxanne from the garage. It would take me two hours and a half hours to get from Malibu to Palm Springs once I finally started my solo road trip.
As I switched over to a calming playlist that Harry made for me on my birthday, I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths.
I knew that it would be a fun trip, but I could only hope that Harry really liked his surprise.
                                         ****************************
The sun was beating down on my bare legs as I leaned against Roxanne.
I anxiously twirled the set of keys around my perfectly painted fingernails. I picked one of the most infamous shades from the 1950’s to match my hair, makeup, and outfit. I rubbed my painted lips together nervously, taking a shuddery breath as I watched the gate of the production set carefully. I thought that it was going to open four times before, but no one had stumbled off set yet.
They were all set to do a two hour lunch break today and that gave me plenty of time to do what I wanted with Harry back in his rental home. I spent most of my time getting ready there, following several tutorials on vintage hair and makeup before I dressed in my adorable outfit. It was something I saw on a show about a female comedian in the fifties. I adored her style throughout the whole show, but I really loved this outfit on me.
It was a pair of black and white check shorts with a matching, three quarter sleeve blazer. I went through Harry’s closet, in search of his ivory silk shirt that I’d seen him wear in a pap photo years ago, to add a little special touch to the outfit. It had his last name stitched on the pocket to compliment the fake wedding ring I’d slipped on my finger.
That was the part I was nervous about.
I didn’t want him to think that I was insane for finding a piece of costume jewelry to match his own fake wedding ring. I got the idea on the flight over from New York, my mind racing with ideas and scenarios to play out. I ultimately decided that if he could torture me with a wedding ring, then I could torture him with one.
The gate finally opened as I started to contemplate picking my nails, a loud screeching sound pulling me from my thoughts as I gripped the keys to the benz in my hand tightly.
Florence was the first out, and while I was delighted to meet the girl who was spending so much time with my boyfriend, I didn’t care to meet her just yet. I watched her turn back, letting out a charming giggle as my boyfriend followed suite behind her. Olivia Wilde was next, a bag on her shoulder and a wide smile on her face. A few other familiar faces trailed out after Harry, and suddenly, my nerves had skyrocketed. A lot of famous people were about to see me in a classic fifties get up with a car scarf around my curls and my legs exposed.
My nerves were soothed for just a moment as I looked at Harry’s freshly cut hair, slicked back in a style that I thought I would hate on him. As per usual, he looked like a daydream. My breath caught in my throat when he looked over at me, his eyes growing wide and a smirk pulling at the corner of his lips. Florence caught on to his line of sight, following his gaze until her eyes landed on me. I gave him a quick wave as everyone else turned to look at me and I felt my face grow hot. He pressed a quick kiss to Olivia’s cheek and then Florence’s before jogging my way.
“What the hell is all this?” He gripped my elbow gently, leaning down to press his lips to mine with a wide smile. “Beatrice, you look so good.”
“I know.” I hummed against his lips, brushing my fingers over his cheek. “Hi.”
“Hiya, honey.” He cooed, wrapping his arms around me. “Fuck me, you’re gorgeous.”
“I thought I’d do a little something to surprise you.” I wrapped my arms around his neck, tossing my head back when he pulled the scarf from my head. “Harry!”
“You did your hair and makeup, too?” He kissed my cheek. “Come on, I want you to meet Olivia and Florence. They’re going to love this.”
“I don’t want her to think I’m mocking her movie.” I glanced down at Harry, causing him to frown slightly. “I did it because I knew you would love it and I had a lot of fun dressing up, but I don’t want to offend her.”
“You won’t.” He reassured me. “She’ll probably make you an extra.”
“Shut up.” I rolled my eyes as he pouted. “Fine, I’ll go over there.”
“Thank you.” He set me down, grabbing my hand before tugging me along.
“Olivia, Florence,” Harry glanced back at me with a giddy grin. “This is my girlfriend, Beatrice.”
“Hello,” I stuck my hand out between us and they both went for a shake. “It’s really nice to meet y’all.”
“You too.” Florence beamed back at me with a smile that was almost as bright as the sun. “I just want to thank you for letting me borrow your boyfriend. He’s such a lovely person and a dream to work with.”
“Try baking with him, you’ll change your mind.” I squeezed Harry’s hand, letting out a soft chuckle. “He’s like a toddler when he gets in the kitchen.”
“I can’t imagine him in an apron.” Olivia laughed. “We have to see that.”
“I have pictures, I’ll make sure to give him a framed one for his trailer.” I pressed my lips together as Harry squeaked out.
“Alright, I didn’t think you’d all gang up on me.” He said playfully. “I wanted to show you off and here you are, teasing me for baking.”
“I’m teasing you because you steal the batter on a spoon, not because you’re baking. I love baking with you.” I bumped my hip into his, smiling up at him. “But I’ve got to keep you grounded, don’t I? Your head will inflate and I’ll have to tie a cinder block to your foot to keep you from floating off.”
“Haha, you’re so funny.” He scrunched his nose up and I tossed my head back, letting out a loud laugh. “Anyways, what do you think of her outfit?”
“Oh, Harry, don’t-”
“It looks great, actually.” Olivia said. “Did I see that on the set of the Marvelous Mrs. Masiel?”
“Yeah, you did.” I nodded. “I love that show and all of her outfits so much.”
“It looks adorable on you.” Florence said. “You work for Vogue, don’t you?”
“Yeah.” I nodded. “I did a piece with one of your Little Women co-stars not too long ago, actually.”
“I thought you seemed familiar.” She exclaimed. “You came on set one day, didn’t you?”
“I did.” I nodded. “It was an honest to god, out of body experience for me. I loved Little Women so much as a girl. I seriously wanted to change my name to Josephine after reading it.”
“And then the film was so bloody amazing!” Florence exclaimed. “Harry, why have you kept her away from us for so long?”
“S’not my fault she has a job.” He rolled his eyes, chortling playfully. “I tried to convince her that being a housewife was much more fun, but I think she read the script and decided against it.”
“Yeah, I sure did.” I laughed softly alongside Olivia and Florence. “We should do dinner or something this weekend. I don’t know if you all have plans, but Harry’s rental house has a table that seats like, eight people.”
“That sounds wonderful.” Olivia said. “Just let us know the details and I’ll pass it along to the other main actors.”
“Sounds great.” Harry said. “Well, I’m going to steal my girl away if you don’t mind. I’ll see you in two hours?”
“See you then, Harry.” Florence waved before she took off in the direction of her car. “Bye, Beatrice!”
“Bye, Florence.” I waved back at her with a giggle before turning to Olivia. “It was really lovely to meet you. I’ll make sure to get him back in time.”
“Thank you.” She laughed. “Have a great lunch, you two.”
“Thanks.” Harry and I said at the same time.
When Olivia was gone, Harry looked down at me with a smirk.
“Do I get to fuck you now?” He asked, his dimple popping out.
“It depends.” I said slowly. “Would you, by chance, like to partake in a little role play?”
“It depends.” He said back. “What do you have in mind?”
I walked forward, smoothing my hands over his t-shirt covered chest. I pressed up on my toes, bringing my lips as close to his ears as I could get them.
“Do you still have your wedding ring from set?”
                             ********************************************
“Honey!” I heard Harry’s voice from where I was lounging on the sofa, a magazine draped over my thighs. “I’m home.”
I smiled, flipping through my magazine without actually paying attention to it.
I heard Harry’s footsteps moments later, his dress shoes tapping along the concrete floor of the house. I tilted my head up when he moved in front of me, his eyes trailing over my body.
“You look comfortable.” He said, reaching for my magazine with two fingers. “You didn’t answer when I called out for you.”
“Sorry, darling,” I hummed out when he pressed his lips to mine. “I was invested in an article.”
“You and your articles.” He breathed against my lips. “It’s been ages since I’ve seen you. Are you just going to sit there?”
“I was planning on it, sweet pea.” I brushed my thumb over his bottom lip. “I’m relaxing my feet.”
“Now, I’ve been gone on business for six days, honey. I would like the chance to properly greet my beautiful wife.” He smirked, setting his briefcase to the coffee table behind him.
“Mr. Styles,” I twisted my legs off the couch, standing up between the furniture and Harry. “I don’t know what you’re insinuating, but I’ve got far too much to get done today. I’ve still got grocery shopping to do and well, I have to call your Mother.”
“I have a better plan, doll.” He roughly gripped my hips, his fingers digging into my sides harshly as he yanked me against his chest. “How about we sneak off for a little afternoon delight?”
“Harry Styles, I don’t think so.” I mocked offense, swatting his shoulder. “I’m far too busy.”
“Make time for your husband, honey.” He cooed, brushing his knuckles against my cheek gently before he gripped my chin. “Make love with your husband.”
“Mr. Styles, you do drive a hard bargain.” I whispered, my breath catching in my throat as our eyes connected in a lustful gaze. “I do have something I’ve been wanting to show you.”
“Mrs. Styles, what have you been up to while daddy’s been away?” He hummed out as his lips brushed against my red painted lips. “Have you been naughty?”
“No,” I smirked. “I’ve been an angel.”
“Prove it.” He whispered moments before our lips collided.
He kissed me just like they did in the old movies, his body wrapping around mine. I moaned against him when I felt his tongue slip over my own, giving me a taste of what I had been craving for two weeks now. I let out a giggle and then a squeak of surprise when I felt his hands under my bum, lifting me up into his arms. I wrapped my legs around him, holding on tight as he walked us from the living room towards the bedroom. He dropped me on the bed before grabbing my right ankle, holding my leg up as my ankle rested on his shoulder.
“These heels…” He started to fiddle with the clasp, finally pulling the strap loose before he slipped it off. “They’re new.”
“Just bought them.” I gripped the duvet under my fingers. “Do you like them?”
“Yes.” He kissed my ankle before gently resting my right leg on the bed. “Did you buy them with daddy’s money?”
“I did.” I bit my lower lip as my core clenched, my walls fluttering at his tone. “I bought them for you.”
“You didn’t even ask daddy before you bought them.” He tutted, reaching for my left ankle. “You’re getting bold.”
“I just wanted to surprise you.” I said.
“I’m very surprised.” He gave me a soft wink, one that let me know my Harry was still in this version of him that we’d quickly created in the car.
A business man with a daddy kink in the 1950’s that wanted to knock his wife up after a long business trip. It was a simple plot, but it combined quite a few kinks into one scenario, so we didn’t really mind. I giggled when he reminded me that daddy was a common nickname in that time period, something girls called their husbands in a provocative setting.
When both of my heels were off, Harry brushed his hands up my bare thighs until they landed on my hips. He gently guided me towards the center of the bed before kneeling over me. I lifted both hands up, cupping his cheeks as he leaned down to kiss my lips.
“Mrs. Styles,” He hummed out. “I’ve been thinking?”
“About what, Mr. Styles?” I pressed my lips over his cheek, sliding my fingers towards the back of his neck.
“I think it’s been quite lonely around here.” He said. “I can’t imagine you’re enjoying all of this time alone when I’m away on business.”
“I get by just fine.” I said softly, dropping my head back to the mattress. “Do you want to get a dog, Harry? Is that what this is about?”
“I don’t want to get a dog, darling.” He chuckled, brushing his nose over mine. “I want a baby.”
“A baby?” My eyes grew wide. “Isn’t it a bit soon, darling? We’ve only been married for five months.”
“That’s more than enough time, doll.” He whined. “I want us to have a beautiful little baby to love and to dote on. I want to show her off in front of my friends and my family-”
“Oh, Mr. Styles.” I sighed, shaking my head. “Don’t you know I’d do anything for you, darling.”
“Is that a yes?” He smirked, his eyes lighting up.
“Yes.” I gasped out when he rutted his hips forward. “Please.”
He wasted no time, stripping me from my blazer and then my tiny shorts. He tossed them aside carelessly, his hands falling to the buttons on the silk shirt that I had stolen from our closet.
“S’this mine?” He glanced up at me with a confused smirk. “Haven’t seen this in ages.”
“S’yours.” I nodded, holding the lapel to the side to show off his name. “S’got your name on it and everything.”
“Cheeky girl.” He cooed out, dropping his head to press a kiss to my stomach. “It’s our name.”
I let out a low whine in the back of my throat, shifting my hips as Harry made it to the last button towards the top of the dress shirt. I watched his face carefully as he pushed it to the side, his eyes scanning the black, vintage set that I had purchased for today.
“You’re trying to kill me.” He gasped out as his fingers brushed over the skin of my stomach to my breasts. “Fucking….I can’t take this anymore. I need to be inside of you.”
“Then get inside of me, Mr. Styles.” I lifted my legs, spreading them apart slightly so he could see the cut out area on the crotch of the panties. “You don’t even have to take everything off.”
Harry’s eyes were on mine, burning a dark shade of emerald as he licked over his bottom lip. I giggled when he started to unbuckle his trousers, tanking the zipper down before he tucked his hand in. He pulled his cock out, giving it a few firm strokes before he hovered his body over mine. Seconds later, I felt the stretch of my walls around his cock, causing my body to tense.
“There’s my girl.” He grunted out, pushing himself in as far as he could possibly go before pressing a few, sloppy kisses to my face. “So snug around me, aren’t you?”
“Harry.” I dropped my hands to his back, digging my nails into the cotton of his shirt as he pulled out slowly. Seconds later, he was pushing back in and I was gasping for air. “Fuck, that’s nice.”
“Mrs. Styles, you have such a filthy mouth.” He smeared his lips over mine before both of his hands found their home by my ears. “Who taught you to talk like that?”
“You.” I let out a breathless chuckle that quickly faded as the tip of his cock massaged my g-spot.
“Yeah?” His eyelids fluttered shut as he continued to work his hips in a steady rhythm. “No other blokes have been hangin’ round here?”
“None.” I shook my head as my nails drug down to his lower back and eventually to his bum. I pushed my fingers down his pants, digging my nails into the flesh there. “Just you.”
“You’re my girl.” He gritted out as a single curl fell to his forehead. “Only mine.”
“Only yours.” I whimpered, biting at my lower lip. “You feel so good, Harry.”
“Can’t wait to see you pregnant, honey.” He let out a whine of his own, clenching his eyes. “It’s gonna be so beautiful, seeing you round and full while you carry my baby..”
“I want it so bad, Harry.”
“And after this baby,” He let out a strangled moan, delivering another sharp thrust that had me gasping. “I’m gonna put another one in you, and then another.”
“Please, I want it.” I nodded, sliding my fingers back up his back. “Want you closer.”
He pressed his body into mine, his hips moving in desperate thrusts and his pelvis applying pressure to my clit with each move. I tossed my head back, silently asking for his lips to press against my throat. I felt him latch on as his thrust started to get sloppier. I knew that he was close by the little whines pulling from his throat and the puffs of air hitting my skin.
Harry’s hand slipped between our bodies in no time, rubbing my clit with an urgency that I’d never experienced before with him. I felt my body flush warm and my walls tighten around him as he delivered three final thrusts. We both cried out when he spilled into me, filling my walls with his cum until it dripped out onto the black panties still settled onto my hips.
“You bought yourself a ring?” our chests were both heaving, his body still pressed into mine.
I tried to let out a giggle, but he was heavy against my body and it came out wheezy.
“It’s costume jewelry.” I brushed my hand over his back. “Just thought it would be fun after I saw you wearing that ring on set. I saw the pictures online and they nearly killed me.”
“Mhm, you’re just trying to seduce me into proposing earlier than I planned.” He lifted his head, pressing his lips against mine in a sweet kiss. “Hello, honey.”
“Hiya, darling.” I lifted my hand, tugging gently on the curl that fell over forehead with a fond smile. “I love you.”
“Love you, too.” He whispered. “I love you and everything you do for me. I don’t tell you enough how much I appreciate you for being the best girlfriend out there.”
“Harry-”
“Don’t deflect or play it down,” He said sternly. “I mean every word from the bottom of my heart, Beatrice. I...no one else on set has had a spouse or partner come visit them on the weekends. No one else had flowers sent to their trailer or daily facetime calls and inspirational messages. You make me feel so loved and so special on a daily basis and that means the world to me. So thank you for being you, honey. I love you with all of my heart.”
“I love you, too.” I sniffled, blinking rapidly as a few tears fell down my temples, into my hair. “I hope you liked your surprise. I didn’t want to freak you out, but I thought it would be fun.”
“It was.” He brushed his nose over mine. “It was a lot of fun, actually. I think we should mess around like that more often.”
“Not too often, though.” I chuckled. “One of these days, I’ll actually end up pregnant.”
“Wheat’s wrong with that?” He hummed out.
“One step at a time, darling.” I patted his shoulder. “Oh, just so you know, we won’t be having a girl first.”
“Excuse me?” Harry hissed when I pushed at his shoulders, causing him to slip out of my walls. I guided him to his back before I climbed on top of him, pressing my palms to his tummy. “I don’t...what?”
“You said ‘her’ earlier, but we’re having a boy first.” I said casually. “I know it.”
“How do you know it?” He chuckled as his brows creased. “Did you make a deal with Stevie at one of her witch things?”
“I didn’t need to make a deal, I just know it.” I patted his cheek. “Gonna name him Ellis.”
“Why Ellis?” He tilted his head to the side. “Where did you hear that?”
“Ellis Island.” I smiled. “We took our first vacation together in New York and the ferry to Ellis Island was one of my favorite parts of that trip. It’s a piece of our history.”
“I love that.” He said softly. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.” I giggled, leaning forward to press my lips against his. “Round two?”
“Why, Mrs. Styles, I like the way you think.”

⚠️‼️ CAUTION: NO WAY HOME SPOILERS ‼️⚠️
This is the rant post I’ve been talking about..
1. It makes me so so sad that Peter is completely and utterly alone… the little scene at the end of him in the tiny apartment.. I can’t 😭
2. THE GED BOOK! If you aren’t from the states and don’t know what a GED is, it’s a High School equivalency diploma. Basically what that means for Peter is that because no one knows who he is he couldn’t graduate with his class, or at all. As someone who has a GED, this hit hard.
3. Obviously the big thing, TOBEY AND ANDREW. I am still in complete and utter shock because of this. I’m not even gonna lie I didn’t expect them to be in the movie at all. I guess part of me didn’t want to get my hopes up for it. But that just made it all the more shocking for me. I went in the afternoon so the theater wasn’t packed but it was full, it was just a chorus of gasps and other miscellaneous things, the things I said were “holy shit”, “holy fuck”, “what the shit”, “omg I’m gonna lose my mind”, *points at Andrew* “you’re a liar” and “tony would be losing his mind”
4. Peter losing his Aunt… I just… I was not okay. The way his voice was breaking and what he was saying to her.. and then the S.W.A.T. team and Happy.. He just had to leave her there and I know that’s the last thing he wanted to do… the “it’s just you and me” parallel-
5. The subtle nod to Miles Morales!! I loved that whole scene with Andrew!Peter and Electro. It was perfectly funny and heartfelt, and of course the little nod to Miles was amazing.
6. The other MJ, Ned and the other 2 Peter’s reactions to Tobey!Peter’s webs coming from him. Honestly hilarious. This movie had so many funny scenes I adore it. Kind of had the same vibe as Ragnarok in that sense.
7. THE MEME!! They did the pointing meme! TWICE!! Iconic moment. Will definitely go down in history.
8. The whole scene when Andrew!Peter and Tobey!Peter shows up- MJ was hilarious, and Ned’s Grandma… I was trying not to die from laughing and complete shock because as I said before I definitely didn’t expect the other two spidermen.
9. Doctor Strange showing up at the end and looking at Peter and screaming “I’ve been in the Grand Canyon for 12 hours!” - had the same vibe as “I’ve been falling for 30 minutes!”.. hehe payback is a bitch, isn’t it?
10. EDDIE AND VENOM!! In the end credit scene! I love that they just spent the entire time drunk in Mexico. I love that Venom didn’t wanna leave and I think that’s probably why he ever so sneakily left a bit of himself.
11. I’m assuming the ending was the trailer for the new Doctor Strange and I’m just !!!!!! I’m wondering if we are gonna get any other multiversal characters.. *cough* Peter Maximoff *cough* I’m literally crossing my fingers.. it’d be better if we got Pietro but listen I’ll take what I can get.
12. MATT MURDOCK! I haven’t seen the Daredevil show, I’m planning to. But I still knew who he was and I was just in shock! So many cameos in this movie it was insane.
13. Does anyone else just wanna punch Flash in the face or is it just me??? Like.. dude. You bully and pick on Peter all through school and now that you know he’s Spider-Man you wanna be his best friend? And worst of all, he wrote a book about being his best friend!! I mean seriously I wanted to punch him more than any of the villains.
14. When Tobey!Peter got in between Tom!Peter and Norman Osborn… and then ended up getting stabbed in the back. Which he took incredibly well, what a champ. I just know he was thinking “I’m getting too old for this shit” the entire time.
15. I’m so happy Tom!Peter managed to cure all of the villains like he wanted to.. even if he had to be forgotten about. I just know he did it for his Aunt May and that just makes me want to sob.
There’s so many more little things in this movie that just make it absolutely phenomenal. It really made me have every single emotion ever. It ripped my heart out, put it back and ripped it out again. It’s a masterpiece. Honestly it’s probably the greatest movie of 2021 and if it doesn’t win every single award I’m gonna riot. Oh and thank you NWH for the new obsession with Andrew Garfield… because I definitely wasn’t already obsessed with enough people 😂

“Ackles,” said a tall guy when you got to the restaurant that night. He gave you a smile as you took a seat at the table, a woman sitting next to him. “You must be Y/N. I’m Jared.”
“I’m Gen,” said the woman, giving you a friendly smile.
“Hi,” you said, looking at them both. “You two seem familiar.”
“We did Supernatural with Jensen,” said Jared. “I was on all three seasons with him. Gen joined the last before I locked that down.”
“These losers are married,” teased Jensen. “At least I did not have to third wheel again.”
“So what’s it like having your girlfriend boss you around all day?” said Jared with a smile.
“Oh you wish you were in my position, buddy,” said Jensen.
“You will learn very quickly these two turn into toddlers around each other,” said Gen. “They’d be joined at the hip if they could be.”
“I’m going to take a wild guess and say Jared’s the friend Jensen does his check in thing with?” you asked.
“You wouldn’t be wrong,” chuckled Jared. He glanced at Jensen and you looked down, feeling a foot tap your own. You lifted your head and saw Jared giving you a smile. “It’s not a secret or anything. I could do worse for a brother.”
“Aw,” said Jensen, Jared rolling his eyes.
“He’s very much a loser if you haven’t realized that yet,” said Jared.
“Losers are cooler than people think,” you said.
“Told you I liked this girl,” said Jared as the waiter came back over.
Fifteen minutes later you had your food and Gen was already inviting you to a girls night dinner. You watched Jensen interact with his friends, smiling when you saw how he was with Jared. There was something sweet about it. If you didn’t know better, you would have thought they were real brothers. You liked that he had a friend like that, especially in the acting industry when people were known for throwing each under the bus.
“Y/N, wanna go to the bathroom with me?” asked Gen.
“Sure,” you said, leaving your napkin on your seat as you went back with her. She used the restroom for a moment while you waited by the sink, smiling when she came out.
“So it’s been awhile since Jensen’s had a girlfriend I’ve heard. I’ve never seen him even go on a date,” she said.
“He said he’s been on a break from them for a while,” you said. She dried off her hands and hummed.
“You must be special then,” she said. You swallowed and she smiled. “Listen. He deserves to be happy and so do you. You two seem to like each other so I’m all for it. Those two boys are going to be besties for life so we’ll probably see a lot of each other.”
“I’ve barely been dating him. I don’t know…” you shrugged. She smiled and nodded. “I’m just enjoying it right now.”
“Probably the smart move,” she said, fixing her hair in the mirror. You pursed your lips and looked at your own reflection. Jensen’s hat was backwards on your head, hiding the flyaways you had from the rollercoasters that afternoon. You touched the end of your side braid. You weren’t even wearing any makeup. “You do realize he’s been drooling over you since the second you walked in the door, right?”
“Yeah but I mean I’m not an idiot. Guys like it when we look pretty and dress up,” you said.
“They also like it when we wear their stuff,” she said. “Relax. This was totally last minute anyways. I was literally in my underwear when I met Jared for the first time. I was mortified.”
“Seriously?”
“Yeah. It was our first scene together. He was late that day so he showed up on set and I was like awesome, let’s meet the cute guy when I’m half naked,” she said.
“I was kinda mad that our original lead actor dropped out and they had an emergency casting call. But Jensen was late to it. I didn’t know what he looked like. I went to take a walk around the block to relax and this guy kind of grabbed me and started bothering me. Jensen came out of nowhere and got me out of there while he dealt with the guy. Ten minutes later I find out he’s the guy that’s supposed to be auditioning in my movie.”
“Oh wow. I assumed you just met on set,” she said.
“No. He found out who I was the next day,” you said. “He asked me out the night before.”
“He’s the kind of guy that does that sort of thing, helps people I mean,” she said.
“I’m starting to get that,” you said.
“Maybe you help him,” she said. You raised an eyebrow and she shrugged. “Like I said. I’ve never seen him on a date. I don’t think Jared has either.”
“I just like him,” you said.
“Good,” she said, grabbing your hand. “Come on and split some dessert with me. I want to see that boy blush over you more.”
“I like her,” you said to Jared as you walked out of a bar later that night, Gen walking ahead with Jensen, the two of them chatting about you if you had to guess. “She’s cute.”
“Yes, she is. Jensen mentioned you were pretty cute too,” said Jared. “He’s been talking about you for weeks now. I was wondering when we’d get to meet.”
“Work keeps me pretty busy,” you said.
“I love the book by the way,” he said. “Jensen was bouncing off the freaking wall when he got the part. You have no idea how happy that made him.”
“He was very good. He got the part all on his own,” you said. “He’s a good actor.”
“He is. Any guy our age would kill to get to play opposite Ethan Y/L/N,” said Jared. “He says that’s nothing compared to you though.”
“What do you mean?”
“He likes the atmosphere you create on set,” said Jared. “He’s making me jealous almost. I’d love a director that cares more about the people making something than profits and marketing.”
“If I don’t screw this up and end up directing more, come look me up. Jensen’s friends are more than welcome on my sets,” you said.
“I’ll take you up on that. I think you’re too hard on yourself. You’ll do fine with it,” said Jared.
“How would you know that? We just met after all.”
“Do you know why Jensen checks in on me everyday?” he asked, slowing his walk. “He worries about me. Sometimes I listen to the crap in my head too much. I had a rough go of it once. He was there for me. He’s still there for me. It doesn’t matter where or when. I can always go knock on his door and he’s there.”
“It’s like I keep telling him. People aren’t sweet like him,” you said as you looked ahead.
“They are. He’s just our version of it,” he said. “I’m willing to share if you are.”
“You can always come knock on his door, Jared. Even if I’m there,” you said. “I’m not stealing him away or anything.”
“Yet you don’t think people are as sweet as him,” he laughed. “You’re funny, Y/L/N.”
He slowed as you saw Jensen and Gen hanging out by the door of an apartment building, Jared leaning over to you.
“He doesn’t always say it but you’ll figure it out soon enough,” said Jared. “He thinks you’re sweet too.”
“Goodnight Jared,” you said as he started to walk again, a smirk crossing his lips.
“Goodnight Y/N. We’ll have to have you guys over for dinner sometime when you’re not so insanely busy,” said Jared.
“We will take you up on that,” said Jensen, throwing an arm over your shoulders. “Night guys.”
He spun the two of you around before you kept going down the block, Jared laughing in the distance.
“Your friends are nice,” you said.
“They like you,” he said. He dropped his arm and took your hand in his instead, swinging it gently as you headed back towards his car. “I’m glad they like you.”
“They care about you.”
“Yes, they do,” he said. “Still. It’s hard being the tag along sometimes.”
“Jensen. I don’t think either one of them has ever considered you a tag along,” you said. “They want you to be happy.”
“I am,” he said. He kissed you slowly, smiling when he moved back. “Promise.”
“Me too,” you said.
“Anywhere else you’d like to go tonight, pretty girl?” he asked.
“I am already up way past my bedtime,” you said, leaning your head on his shoulder. “Do you want to sleepover tonight?”
“Yeah,” he said quietly. “You’re very cuddly when you sleep.”
“Sorry,” you said, glad it was dark out and your blush was hidden. He leaned over and brushed his lips against your ear.
“I kinda really like it,” he whispered. You smiled, Jensen spinning you around in a circle until you giggled. “Oh, there’s another thing I like.”
“What else do you like?” you asked.
“Everything,” he said.
“Ah. That narrows it down,” you said.
“Not a word of a lie,” he said as you let out a small yawn. “Come on. Let’s get you in bed. We have work bright and early.”
“Fuck,” you said, bottling up out of bed the next morning. You slammed your alarm clock, four snoozes in and dashed out of bed, running into the bathroom as Jensen yawned and sat up.
“Morning,” he said with a stretch, watching you run around your bedroom. You slammed the door shut to the bathroom and exited not twenty seconds later in new clothes. “I love a girl that don’t mess around in the morning.”
“I am so late,” you said, grabbing a hair tie from your dresser. You threw it back in a messy pony, Jensen tossing his hat from the floor at you. “Thanks.”
You tugged it on and he rolled out of bed, moving a little slow before he wandered into your bathroom and exited.
“Y/N, it’s like five am,” he yawned.
“I have to review my shots for the day and I have a budget meeting and a stunt review all before eight,” you said, pausing as you grabbed your backpack. “Uh you can totally sleep in. Just lock up after yourself.”
“Nah, it’s cool. I’ll come in early, crash in my trailer for a few,” he said. “Maybe have breakfast with my smokin’ hot director.”
“Does this look smokin’ hot?” you said, pointing down at yourself.
“Well, you’re wearing my hat and my texas t shirt. Yeah, pretty damn hot right now, girl,” he said. You hadn’t even realized you’d grabbed his shirt, just thought it was a big baggy one you used for washing your car or stuff around the house.
“Oh,” you said, glancing at him, bare chested as he pulled on his jeans. “I didn’t mean to take your shirt.”
“Please do,” he smirked. “I got a sweatshirt in my car. It’s fine.”
“I didn’t remember you taking off your shirt last night,” you said. He nodded and crossed his arms over his chest.
“I got hot under the covers,” he said, glancing away.
“Sorry,” you said when you kept staring at him.
“Not like you haven’t seen me without a shirt on before,” he said.
“You’re just...really good looking,” you said, tugging on the bottom of your shirt.
“You can change in front of me if you want. I mean, I can keep it in my pants,” he said.
“It’s not…” you said, Jensen looking you up and down. “People like you aren’t with people like me.”
“I don’t know if it was this ex or what but this twisted sense of self-image or worth or whatever you have going on, you should tell it to shove it cause you are damn gorgeous. You care about people. The world ain’t seeing what you think it is,” he said.
You swallowed and stared at him, Jensen dropping his arms to his sides. You fixed the backpack onto your shoulders before you picked up your phone from your nightstand.
“Y/N,” said Jensen, walking around to your side of the bed, resting a hand on your shoulder.
“I have to relearn those things, Jensen. It’s gonna take time for me to do that,” you said.
“Let me help you do that,” he said.
“Why?” you asked, spinning around.
“Because I care about you,” he said quietly.
“Yeah but why do you care about me,” you asked.
“I don’t know. I just do. It kinda scares me to be honest,” he said.
“Why, cause you’re attracted to a freak?” you asked. He scowled and turned you around, planting a harsh kiss on your lips. His hands cupped your cheeks when he pulled back and you felt like his green eyes were staring right through you.
“Because I don’t know what this is. It feels familiar but it’s not and that’s scary. I hate that you think that way about yourself and everyday I want to go and kick this ex-boyfriend’s ass more and more. He sounds worse than just a bad ex, Y/N. You’re not a freak. You’re someone I care about,” he said. “It doesn’t seem like you care about you all that much which really sucks cause she’s a pretty special girl that deserves it.”
You didn’t know what to say, not with the way he was looking at you.
Crying when you were already late for the day seemed like the worst possible thing to do but that’s what your body decided for you. Jensen wrapped his arms around your shoulders, kissing your temple and shushing you.
“I’m late,” you sniffled. “I gotta go.”
“Not happening.”
“I’m gonna get in trouble again and I already used up a favor pushing the stunt back before,” you mumbled. “They’re gonna fire me off my own movie.”
“First off, no, they won’t. Second, you need to take a hot minute for yourself and lay back down in bed for another few hours. Filming doesn’t start until eight so we have time. Third, you’re gonna blame this on me,” he said. You tilted your head up, Jensen already shaking his. “I called you freaking out about the pressure and you came over to calm me down. That’s what we say when someone asks.”
“Jensen, no. You can’t do that,” you said. “You’ll get labeled as something you’re not and big gigs could take years to come your way again.”
“Well who gives a fuck about big gigs. I want my girlfriend to be okay right now. That’s what I want,” he said.
“Jensen,” you said.
“No. It’s like I said, you don’t have to tell me a damn thing you don’t want to. But I’m not gonna watch you bully yourself. I won’t. So I’ll help you kick that thing’s ass inside your head that’s making you feel that way. Please. Lay back down, I’ll text your dad, ask him to tell the story that you were reaming me out a new one to get me to keep working and at seven, we’ll wake up and head to work, alright?”
“You’re not gonna give me a choice,” you said, shutting your eyes.
“You always have a choice. Just make this one right now. Please,” he said.
“Fine but-”
“No buts except you get yours back in that bed for more sleep,” he said. You peeled open your eyes, Jensen with a worried stare looking back. “Tonight after work, we’ll talk and figure out a good way to get through this, alright?”
“I’m not something to fix,” you mumbled, sliding your backpack off.
“I never said you were broken,” he said softly. You looked over at him, giving him a small smile before you slipped under the covers. He left the room for a minute and you kicked off your jeans, Jensen dropping his own when he came back in. He crawled underneath and pulled you into his side, moving the blankets around you. “Relax, honey. It’ll be okay. I promise.”

Good afternoon, gentlepeople.  I’m back with another edition of
The Worst Movie on Netflix Right Now™ Christmas Edition!
In case you missed it, a couple weeks ago we did Part 1 of a Country Christmas Round-up.  Now we’re back with Part 2 --- because nothing says Christmas like an acoustic guitar cover of “Silent Night.”
First up we’ve got Christmas in the Smokies...
Tumblr media
Obviously by this point now you’ve encountered some tongue-in-cheek social media posts about Christmas romance holiday tropes.  A little bit of column A, column B, and column C and you’ve got yourself a holiday rom-com.  And you know what?  This one is no fucking different.  It’s like the writers just pulled the lever on the trope slot machine and wrote a movie for whatever got spit out.
Here’s the premise:  Shelby lives on her parents farm where they grow berries and make pies and jams.  But the bank is calling in their loan, due just after Christmas, while a developer salivates over the property.  Meanwhile, her country music star ex-boyfriend who ghosted her back when she was a teenager is back in town trying to rehabilitate his bad boy image.
And I think you know where it goes from there.
This is one of the better quality Christmas rom-coms on Netflix right now.  Sarah Lancaster (you might recognize her from Chuck) can act just fine, and the supporting cast is equally serviceable. The production looks good --- as in they look like they’re in real homes in a real town in a real place --- which puts it well above the vast majority of these Netflix Christmas movies.
But like, dude.  This movie is such a fucking bummer. Everything about it is sad. Shelby is sad and bitter.  She’s still SUPER PISSED OFF about having been stood up on Christmas by her ex-boyfriend when she was a teenager, even though it’s definitely at least a decade later.  I mean, I get it.  He is the reason she has abandonment issues and never left home.  It was traumatic!  But like... GET THE FUCK OVER IT.  Go on with your life!  You’re a beautiful woman!  Have you seriously dated no one since you were sixteen?
And when you combine that with the constant impending doom of them losing their family farm...?  Like mannnn.  The Smokies are rough.
Tumblr media
Girl, same.
As far as country Christmas movies go, this one is decent.  Shelby says things like, “You always were all hat and no cattle” which is as home-spun as any of these movies get.  It doesn’t get the real snow bonus, but there are horses and places that look like actual farms, so it’s got that going for it.  Heads-up guys, this one scores two out of three wise men on the putting-the-Christ-in-Christmas scale.  Amen.
The last movie in our Country Christmas Round-up is Christmas in the Heartland...
Tumblr media
So, full disclosure.  I was about 15 minutes into this movie before I realized it was not a Christmas rom-com.  Instead, it’s a teen flick.  But you know what’s weird?  I liked this movie better than pretty much anything else I’ve watched so far this year.  Cause this movie is fucking INSANE.  Here’s the premise:
Two teenage girls have a chance encounter on a flight heading to Oklahoma where they’re both going to spend Christmas with previously estranged or unknown family members.  Kara is a rich girl who is going to meet her wealthy estranged grandparents for the first time.  Jessie is a poor girl who is going to meet her trailer-park grandmother who only recently learned that her son had a daughter.  These two girls hatch a plan to swap lives.  Instead of going to their own family members, they’ll go see how the other half lives.  They swap clothes and identities, and then get off the plane to their new lives.
Like, to begin with, it’s BANANAS that they thought that this would work at all.  But of course things immediately get complicated.  Kara -- posing as Jessie -- is about to meet Jessie’s dad for the first time, whom Jessie has never met!  Jessie -- posing as Kara -- is being pressured to act like a debutante and date the right boy and enter pageants and... well it’s a mess y’all.
Tumblr media
The thing about this movie is that everything works for it in the way that a made-for-TV teen Christmas movie should work.  Shelley Long is great as an Oklahoman trailer grandmother and Bo Derek is great as the Oklahoman rich snob.  As the two families start to come to life on screen, you kinda believe it?  Like these people feel real and sweet and lovely and maybe, just maybe, I kinda would want to spend Christmas with them?
The writing is also kinda lovely when it needs to be --- not particularly good, but definitely not bad either.  It just does what it’s supposed to do.  It gives the cast room to play without getting in their way.  And even as the plot starts to spiral, you really kind of go with it.
And boy does the plot spiral.
Just when you think this movie could not get more crazy, it absolutely does.  Like I didn’t even see the direction this fucking movie was going.  It’s so insane, I don’t even want to spoil it for you cause you should absolutely watch this batshit movie.
Overall, the reason that Christmas in the Heartland wins this weird-o Country Christmas Round-Up is because everyone involved in it looks like they’re having a fun time.  They know this is fucking insane.  The movie is earnest when you want it to be and silly when you don’t.  It’s kinda just a good old wacky time.  And I don’t know what else you can want out of a made-for-TV Christmas movie.

Chapter Fourteen
Tumblr media
A/N: there’s a hint of the bisexual, (i’m not definitively saying reader is bi, though you can totally see her that way if you want, but that’s not going to be a feature of the story. i just don’t want it to come off as insensitive or obtuse or anything, peace and love man)
Warnings: British superiority, swearing (also I haven't proofread it so pls just ignore typos -- not that I spot them all usually, I'm so bad at typing)

Chapter Fourteen
You were in Ben’s kitchen making dinner, having skipped out early while the boys were still in costume getting de-‘Queen’ed. The dinner was bubbling away contentedly on the hob and you had your music hooked up to Ben’s speaker.
“Oohh, show me heaven, cover me, leave me breathless. Ooooohhh show me heaven please,” you sang at the top of you lungs, no doubt much to the chagrin of the neighbours, and swayed dramatically as you added some seasoning. You didn’t register the door opening or the keys being thrown down on the hall table.
“I’m not denying, I’m frightened as much as you, though I’m barely touching you. I’ve shivers down my spine and it feels divine.”
You twirled with a flourish, belting without thought or care if you were in tune, only to see Ben standing in the doorway with his hands on his hips, biting back a laugh. You looked him dead in the eye and serenaded him, flinging your arms out in your best 90’s-power-ballad singer impersonation. You clutched at your heart and threw your head back, your face contorted into a pained, lovestruck cry. Ben finally broke and his face split into a grin, waves of rich laughter sweeping across the room above the music. When closed the small distance between you and took you around the waist you all but melted into his arms.
“You’re such an idiot,” he bubbled, pulling you closer.
“Well, you like the dorky ones, don’t you?” You rested your hand on his cheek and met his lips with your own. He was soft. You felt the weariness evaporate from his bones as your bodies met, skin on skin.
When you pulled away he buried his face in your neck and sighed deeply, breathing you in. His breath was hot; it tickled your skin and you giggled. Strong arms wrapped themselves tighter around your waist, close enough that you could feel it in your stomach like nervous excitement.
“You hungry?” you purred, stroking his hair. He hummed his affirmation into your neck and slowly detached from you.
“This looks delicious Y/N, thank you,” Ben declared as you sat down to eat.
“Mm, don’t get too used to it, I’m no 1950s domestic housewife that’ll have dinner on the table for you everyday.”
“Believe me,” he grinned, “I know. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
“So tell me, how was your day?”
He frowned, confused, “You were there, you know how my day was.”
“I know,” you said timidly, “I just want to hear it from you.”
“Why?”
“It’s what normal couples do, isn’t it? They get home from work and talk about their day,” you huffed.
“Are we not a normal couple?”
You rolled your eyes, “You know what I mean. How did you feel today? What did I miss while I was off running around sweating my tits off?”
“Okay, um,” Ben shifted in his seat, “I was pretty tired, I guess. You’re keeping me up late,” he goaded, a devilish grin dancing on closed lips.
“You have no one but yourself to blame.”
“I beg to differ little missy. You can’t come into the bathroom wearing nothing but a pair of knickers and expect me to do nothing.”
Your mind wandered back to the night before, what Ben had done when he caught sight of you in the mirror. You squeezed your thighs together. “Okay we can resume that discussion later, what else?”
He raised an eyebrow but continued, “Um, Joe was very impressed with how you handled Rami today, he wouldn’t shut up about how he could just see someone kicking off and causing a scene, but you just handled it perfectly. He was gushing about it all afternoon.”
You shrugged, “I was just doing my job, I’m there to manage you guys so that’s what I did.”
“Joe didn’t think so, he kept saying that you’re the best PA he’s worked with.”
“Well that’s very sweet,” you inclined your head.
“I think he’s right,” Ben said, eyes firmly focused on his plate of food. “I mean, I’ve told you before I think you’re great at what you do. You should be producing, top of the ladder.”
“Maybe,” you hummed, unenthused. “I don’t know that I want to be a producer.”
Ben looked up at you, “Really?”
“I like working so closely with the cast. Maybe I’ve just been lucky this time, you guys were my first, and I don’t think there’ll ever be another job like this, but still, it seems a little lonely to me at the top.”
“So, you have no ambition to climb the career ladder?” Ben’s face said that he couldn’t quite comprehend the concept.
“I have ambition, but I suppose it doesn’t take me upwards. I want to work on good projects with talented people. I don’t even know if I want to stay in the film industry forever. I might try something else one day.”
“Like what?”
“Who knows?” you smiled. You sensed that Ben didn’t understand, and looking to avoid a dispute, you hurriedly changed the subject, “Anyway, you excited for tomorrow?”
Ben shifted in his seat, “Yeah, we kept talking about it today, Joe was rinsing me about whether I’ll look as good as Roger did as a woman.”
“Nervous?”
“Nah, I think it’ll be fun.”
You left the guys in makeup the next morning as you were needed elsewhere, but you weren’t mad. You were excited for the big reveal of them in full drag, especially Ben. The call came over the radio that they were ready for the guys on set, so you went off to collect them from their trailers. Your face grew with each one (you particularly delighted in seeing Gwil’s painted nails. However, when Ben stepped out of his trailer you stopped in your tracks.
“God Ben, you make a terrible woman, I thought you’d be way better looking,” Joe jibed. Ben scoffed, and mumbled a “Fuck off” under his breath, but he caught your eye to see you biting your lip.
“Come on then, they’re waiting for us aren’t they?” Ben declared, and the boys went marching off to set. You skipped after him and whispered, “You look pretty.” He looked at you, raised and eyebrow and shook his head. You laughed and hurried after him.
It was one of the most fun days on set; everyone was in good spirits and the guys were constantly larking about. Joe teased Ben constantly, much to his chagrin, but you shot him winks throughout the day.
“You’re disgusting, your thighs are way too thick,” Joe mocked.
“Mmm, thicc with two c’s,” you hummed as you walked behind Ben. You imagined sidling up behind him, wrapping your arms around his hips and leaving open-mouthed kisses all along his neck, but alas you had company. Still, your bisexual bits were buzzing. Ben caught your eye and frowned, intrigued, but you simply laughed and went on your way.
“How is it fair that you’re so beautiful?” you chuckled exasperatedly while you were sat around for lunch. “You’re a prettier woman than I am!”
Ben’s gaze snapped towards you, “You don’t actually think that?”
“You’re gorgeous, I’d kill for cheekbones like that.”
“He is startlingly pretty,” Gwil affirmed.
You pumped your eyebrows, “What, have you got tingly bits Gwil?”
“Ben always gives me tingly bits.”
Joe frowned deeply, but you conspicuously ignored him.
“You best not be trying to steal my man, Mr Lee.”
“I would never,” he winked.
Joe took the piss out of Ben all through lunch, constantly telling him how disappointed he was that he didn’t make a more attractive woman, that Roger looked so much better. Ben laughed along and played his part, but kept glancing at you every few minutes. You smiled sweetly, but the ones he returned had an aura of the heartsick about them. You were following the guys back to set when Ben grabbed you by the arm and pulled you aside to a quiet corner, sheltered from prying eyes and intermeddling ears. He pushed your back against the wall and enclosed you in himself. He searched your face, but for what you didn’t know. “What’s up, Benny?”
“What you were saying back there… you’re so beautiful Y/N, you know that right?”
“I know,” you said, struggling to keep a straight face. Ben was being so sweet and sincere but all you could see was the wig and the eyeliner and the bows. You twirled one of his curls between your fingers, “So are you.”
He lifted his hand to yours, holding it still, “I mean it. You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen.” His eyes bored into yours, desperately communicating his earnestness.
“Thank you,” you breathed. He nodded, seemingly satisfied that you had understood him. “But I still think you make a seriously hot woman. Just look at that face.” You grabbed his chin and pulled him closer.
Ben sighed, laughing. His tongue protended slightly over his bottom lip.
You hummed, “It’s that little pouty face that you do. So innocent, like butter wouldn’t melt.”
“You know I got that face from you. I watched what Roger did in the video obviously, but I did that face cause that’s the one you make.”
“Are you serious? When do I make that face?”
“You used to do it all the time in bars when you were just listening to the music, daydreaming.”
“Ben, that is my ‘I’m-trying-to-look-sexy-and-disinterested-so-men-will-want-to-chat-me-up’ face!” you gasped, embarrassed.
“Well it worked ‘cause it made me want to chat you up,” he smirked.
“Not that you bloody did, I had to chat you up.”
“That was definitely not chatting me up. You had verbal diarrhoea in my general direction.”
“Oh shut up.”
“Make me.”
Your chest went tight as Ben smirked. Beneath all the makeup and costume he was still his cocky,   provocative self: a stallion of a man. Unintimidated, you thrust your lips to his and kissed him fiercely, owning his mouth with yours. You deliberately pulled away abruptly, just as Ben was expanding into you, and tucked one of his golden locks behind his ear.
“I guess that was kinda weird for you.”
You shook your head, “You think that was my first time kissing a woman?”
“It wasn’t?” You shook your head, giggling. “Huh, well that’s one thing we didn’t learn in ‘Never Have I Ever’.”
“Oh there’s plenty you don’t know about me, I’m full of secrets.”
“Alright mysterious girl, what else don’t I know?”
“Telling you would spoil all the fun.”
“Anyone seen Ben? And where the hell is Y/N?” you heard someone yell from set.
---
“What are you guys doing for bonfire night?
“Oh of course, it’s the 5th of November today,” Gwil remarked.
“Bonfire night?” Joe queried. “Isn’t that a fireworks thing like 4th July?”
“Oh Joe, my sweet, naïve American friend, it is nothing like that shitshow of excessive patriotism and fried food.”
“Hey, Independence Day is an important part of American history.”
“Yeah, a history that’s all of five minutes long.”
His mouth fell open like a goldfish and he looked around for someone who shared his indignation.
“Rami, help me out here.”
Rami just laughed, “My heritage is Egyptian, their history is literally ancient.”
“Unbelievable,” he muttered, tutting.
“I hear Blackheath does a great bonfire. Joe, we are going to show you the wonders of Bonfire Night.”
“So, what exactly is this all about?” Joe challenged as you walked through the rows of stalls that evening, weaving between crowds of people.
Despite the chill that crept through your many layers, a warmth pooled in your heart at the mayhem of sensations. The smells of many food vendors competed for your attention: hot dogs with onions and ketchup, toffee apples so sickly sweet, mulled wine, spiced and fragrant. Children giggled and squealed, people laughed merrily, and the bonfire crackled in the distance. As autumn was beginning to fade, the world was blanketed in earthy hues, reds and oranges and browns. The leaves were vibrant in their last flourish before death, glowing bright but so dry you could almost hear them crunch, and the fire engulfed everything it touched in a golden embrace. You inhaled deeply, allowing the atmosphere to seep into you, and grinned.
“Bonfire night is a big celebration to commemorate when this bloke called Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament and the King in the early 17th century, basically ‘cause he was a Catholic and they were Protestant. But he was caught laying the gunpowder and they executed him, so every year we light a bonfire and burn an effigy of him on the top, you know, kids make them out of papier-mâché, and we eat and drink and watch fireworks.
“So you burn a papier-mâché man on a big fire to celebrate a failed terrorist attempt?” Joe frowned, perturbed.
You laughed, “Exactly.”
“Brits are weird,” he decided.
Ben defended, “It sounds weird when you say it like that, but really it’s an excuse to have a good time.”
“Come on,” you declared, “Let’s go to the bonfire.” You marched towards the blaze without waiting to see if the others were following.
The fire was feverish up close. You were soon roasting under your winter coat, with your hair falling in gentle waves from underneath your wool hat and a scarf wrapped around your neck. It was so hot on your skin that you feared for the fate of your eyelashes, but you wouldn’t move away. You stood in awe of the flames as they leapt and cracked, dancing their vicious dance, sparks frolicking in the stars. You watched, mesmerised, until Ben caught up with you, threaded his arms around your waist, and rested his chin on your shoulder.
“Isn’t is beautiful,” you whispered, filled with terrible wonder.
He hummed his concurrence and nuzzled his face into your neck.
“Wow, hot isn’t it?” Gwil remarked as he came to stand beside you.
Joe scoffed, “Yeah, no shit. It’s a giant fire.”
“Can you see the Guy on the top?” you prompted. The remains of the Guy were still there, propped on a chair like a throne, disintegrating into ash before your eyes.
“Oh yeah,” he mumbled, disconcerted. “Gwil’s right, this is really fucking hot, let’s go play the games.”
You had an hour until the firework display, so occupied yourself on the fairground games. Rami and Lucy had wondered off together, no doubt for a romantic ride on the ferris wheel. The other boys were endlessly competitive, always trying to one-up each other on the games; you played along but mostly just laughed at them and their poor attempts at trash talking. Afterwards, you got mulled wine and held it in your hands, letting it warm your frozen fingers. You breathed in, cinnamon and orange and nutmeg swirling together through your senses, thinking that there really is nothing like mulled wine on a cold autumn night. You walked through the stalls as you drank, perusing the trinkets on sale, and Joe inevitable bought himself a huge bag of marshmallows like the big kid he is. You passed the coconut shy and saw the best prize was a teddy bear the size of a small child. You turned suddenly to Ben and grabbed his arm.
“Will you win me the teddy like they do in the movies?”
He laughed and fished in his pocket for some change. “You’re a hopeless romantic really, aren’t you?”
“Through and through babe.”
“You gotta knock off all six to win the bear,” said the vendor in a thick cockney accent. He had eight balls to do so. It was just a game but you saw the absolute determination on Ben’s face as he took the ball and lined up the first shot.
He missed with the first ball, but muttered something about getting his bearings — to which Joe immediately shouted, “BEARings! Geddit? Cause he’s trying to get the bear?” You rolled your eyes.
The next five shots where bang on, and the coconuts fell off their stands one after the other. You were starting to get excited when he missed with the penultimate ball. He one chance to get the final coconut.
You went onto your tiptoes and leaned into Ben’s ear, whispering, “You got this baby, do it for me.”
He looked deep into your eyes. You bit your lip in that cutesy-but-sexy way the girl always does in the films, but Ben was all sincerity. His eyes skipped to your lips for a second before he turned, threw the ball, and knocked the last coconut off the stand. You laughed, incredulous, and jumped up and down before tossing your arms around his shoulders. Placing a big, sloppy kiss on his cheek you grinned like a cheshire cat.
The vendor, somewhat begrudgingly you thought, handed over the giant teddy and you bounced on your heels excitedly, cuddling it tightly to your chest.
“Are you happy?” Ben chuckled.
“Very,” you beamed and slipped your hand in his, feeling warm and full.
You found a good spot to watch the fireworks, ‘ooh’ing and ‘aah’ing along with everyone else. It was a beautiful display, and in the midst of all the families and groups of friends, laughing and cheering, you felt so at home in Ben’s arms. You spotted a young family nearby with a baby in the arms of its mother. It was all wrapped up in a coat and blankets, with big headphones on to protect its ears, but you could see the innocent wonder in its eyes as the lights flashed and sparkled in the sky. Its gurgle of delight reached you over the noise and squeezed your heart. Tiny, chubby fingers reached up and tried to grab the lights from their inky black perch.
“How precious,” you whispered to yourself. Somewhere in your stomach that yearning for a baby stirred and writhed.
Ben, behind you with his arms locked around your waist, rested his chin on your shoulder.
“Feeling broody?” his voice rumbled in ear.
You hummed, “Always.”
Just then the baby turned and caught your eye, smiling widely.  You waved and it stretched out towards you. It’s mum noticed and smiled at you, bouncing the baby happily on her hip.
“You’ve got a few admirers,” Ben simpered, nodding to the older sister who had her eyes fixed on the teddy bear you were still cuddling.
Laughing softly you detached yourself from Ben and knelt in front of her.
“Do you like my teddy?” you asked her gently. She held onto her mother’s leg with one hand and sucked on the fingers of the other. Looking up at you through her eyelashes she nodded shyly.
“Do you think you could help me come up with a name for him? I’m really stuck.”
She frowned, pensive, then said decidedly, “Ted.”
The laugh that flowed from you was full of the joyful delight that only children can offer. “I like that, how about Big Ted?”
She nodded enthusiastically, and stroked Big Ted’s arm. She looked at the bear with such fondness, such longing.
“Do you know what, I don’t think my flat is big enough for Big Ted to live there too. Would you like to take him home with you? Do you think you could look after him for me?”
Her little eyes lit up and looked to her mum eagerly. Mum just chuckled and said, “Are you sure? That’s very kind of you.”
“Absolutely,” and turning to the girl you said, “As long as you promise to take good care of him.”
“I will, I promise.” With a smile you handed over the bear to her — which was easily as big as she was — and she cuddled him close to her chest.
“Thank you,” she whispered, so quiet you could barely hear it but none the less heartfelt.
“You’re very welcome.”
It warmed your heart to watch the way she held that bear so tightly, and you were sure she’d get years of love out of it, and probably her baby sibling too. That knowledge was more than worth the ribbing you got from the guys for being so broody.
“I worked hard to win you that bear,” Ben pouted, deliberately trying to make you feel bad.
“And I appreciate it very much,” you cooed, placing a kiss on his pouted lips. “How about I show you just how much when we get home?” you added in a whisper.
He seemed to like that idea.
You wondered around until it started to get quieter and the chill seeped through your coats and into your bones, Gwil loudly complaining that his bollocks were freezing off. Joe seemed to be the least keen to leave.
“I thought you were Mr Skeptical about Bonfire Night,” you teased.
“Okay, to be fair this was really fun. I am fully on board with your super weird ceremonial burning tradition. But you have to be open to Independence Day.”
“In all honesty love, it sounds like a big barbecue and day drinking which is right up my street. You invite me to a 4th of July party and I’ll be there.”

Request: Anonymus: Could you please write a fic with Tom Holland is your boyfriend and he’s away doing an interview and he talks about you in the interview? maybe you’re an actress too and the interviewer knows you and asks about you or something? thank you!
A/N: I’ve really been posting a load of Tom content lately which I love! but I hope you guys are alright with it too! Everyone has been requesting Tom content and I definitely will write it but I’d love some more requests for other characters/people too!!!!
Word Count: 1,238
Warning: a bit of swearing I think?? that's it!
Tumblr media
Your thumb lazily continued to scroll further down your Facebook feed. It was a Sunday afternoon and you sat at home by yourself. Your boyfriend, Tom, was currently in America somewhere on the Spider-Man Far From Home press tour. He’d been away for about 2 weeks now and you hadn't had any time in your busy schedule to fly out and see him. It had basically been 2 weeks of failing FaceTime calls and long text messages.
A news article on your feed caught your eye with a photo of Tom and his cast mates. ‘Tom Holland Gushes Over Actress Beau, (Y/N) (Y/L/N), In Recent Interview’ the headline read. You couldn’t help but let a grin creep along your lips, taking no time to click on the link.
The YouTube video of the interview appeared at the top of the page, however your gaze adverted to the text written below.
‘Tom Holland and cast mates talk Spider-Man Far From Home, the pranks pulled on set, and how much they love Holland’s girlfriend (Y/N) (Y/L/N). This is definitely a movie cast that we would love to be apart of!’
Trailing away from the article, you clicked on the play button on the video. It took a moment to load before the video encapsulated your phone screen. It began with a shot of Tony, Jacob, Tom, and Zendaya laughing and talking over each other, then cutting to the interviewer.
“So guys, thanks for having us today!” He stated, earning greetings from the cast. “Spider-Man Far From Home! I’m super excited to see it. I was a huge fan of Homecoming and from what we’ve seen in the trailers this one looks even better! What’s it like being together again and filming together again?”
“Awful! These guys are just horrible to work with!” Tony replied loudly, a huge grin plastered to his face as the other members laughed and shook their heads.
“It’s great! Of course it’s great. We all get along really well, and with this film we got to travel around Europe and that was really just like a holiday for us because whenever we weren’t filming we were all sight seeing and just having a really great time together.” Tom explained, his cast members nodding along with him.
“Yea like especially around Venice, it’s such a beautiful country and we spent a pretty good amount of time there so we went out heaps.” Jacob added.
“Yea I saw some awesome Instagram photos of you guys adventuring around Europe. I actually recently interviewed your girlfriend Tom, (Y/N) (Y/L/N), and she said she joined you guys a lot through that experience, what was that like?” The interviewer asked, your ears pricking up as your name was mentioned.
“It was really nice having her there, we both have super busy lives and getting to spend time with her was awesome, especially because she really gets on with everyone super well.” Tom replied, his eyes lighting up as he spoke about you.
“Yea we actually prefer hanging out with (Y/N) over Tom.” Zendaya pitched in, Tony and Jacob agreeing as they all laughed. You laughed too.
“It was super good having (Y/N) with us in London too because she obviously knew her way around, she was basically our tour guide.” Tony expressed over the laughter.
“You guys know I’m from London too, right?” Tom asked, his hands lifting up in a questioning motion.
“Yea but... You’re not (Y/N).” Jacob responded, laughing out the last words, as he covered his mouth with his hand to stifle his chuckle. Zendaya and Tony cackling along too.
“Oh my god- I remember on set-” Tom pointed to his cast mates, facing the interviewer, “these guys, and my mate Harrison, they would send me these Snapchat videos of all of them and (Y/N) in my trailer- (Y/N) obviously let them in, and they were all playing cards and watching TV and, like, having a party without me! In my fu-“ he paused before he swore, covering his mouth, “In my trailer! Like while I was in hair and make-up or when I was filming with Jake or something.” Tom explained, his huge, beautiful grin stuck to his face as his British accent popped through. Zendaya, Tony, and Jacob continued laughing as they reminisced.
“What card games where you playing?” The interviewer asked,
“We played heaps of Poker,” Zendaya stated.
“Yea and Harrison, Harry, (Y/N) and I would play heaps of 500 too.” Jacob added,
“Dude, that’s like my favourite card game.” Tom turned to look at Jacob, trying to look upset but clearly not being able to hide his smile. Jacob simply laughed it response.
“It looks like you’ve been replaced by (Y/N), Tom.” The interviewer replied, trying to reclaim the interview over the chuckling.
“Yea obviously, Marvel’s gonna call me up and tell me she’s playing Spider-Man in the next movie too.” He shook his head. “Nah seriously though, she’s so incredible to be around and everyone really loves her, as you can tell, and obviously I love her heaps too,” Tom added, a pink blush appearing over the surface of his cheeks. Earning a choir of ‘awe’s from his cast mates.
“Yea Tom realllllly loves having (Y/N) on set.” Zendaya said, a cheeky tone taking over as she elbowed Tom’s side, looking over at the other boys.
“He’s way less cranky when she’s there.” Jacob commented with a smirk.
“They’re like rabbits on set man-” Tony added bluntly, Jacob and Zendaya howling with laughter as Tom hid his face, “It’s like (Y/N) shows up and Tom just vanishes, we’ll be looking for Tom, like trying to find him, and his trailer, it’ll just be like wobbling back and forward-” Tony kept going while using hand gestures to further his comments.
“Tony!” Tom yelled, his hands moving to his temple, “You can’t say that, bro! They can’t use that in the interview.” Nervousness screaming through Tom’s tone. Zendaya and Jacob practically in tears from the laughter.
You pursed your lips together as you watched the interview, heat rising to your cheeks as the thought of all the news articles that were going to be released based on this interview flooded your mind.
“(Y/N), darling, I’m so sorry, I love you heaps.” Tom stated to the camera, through his clenched jaw.
“We love you too, (Y/N)!” Jacob smiled.
“And with that, I think we’ll wrap up! Thanks for having me guys.” The interviewer grinned, as he stood to shake hands with the cast.
The video cut off and you immediately switched to the text message app, opening Tom’s chat. You pasted the link of the interview and sent it to Tom with no other words.
He replied almost immediately.
‘I’m so sorry darling! I had no idea they would actually post any of that, I thought they’d censor it 😬😬’
‘It’s okay baby, it’s actually pretty funny. I’m glad you guys are having a good time and I miss you so much ❤️’ You replied, a huge sigh leaving your lips as you thought about your time away from Tom.
‘I fucking miss you so much too, I can’t wait to see you next week’
‘I know, I can't wait to see you Tommy ❤️ and now that its out in the blue, we might as well live up to being ‘rabbits’ 😏’

New life in Cali, ch. 8
Chapter 8
Pairings; Chris Evans x reader, Sebastian Stan x reader
Warnings; overthinking
A/N; I’m breaking this up as best i can.
Tumblr media
Monday’s day at work is moving by so slowly. You are busy finishing up details on Frozen 2. Details are time-consuming, and all over encompassing. By the time you look up from your computer your phone is lite up with texts and missed calls. It was only 12, you could have sworn you missed lunch you’d been so busy.
Chris 8:40 am “Hey, headed out of town today. Can you help Seb with Dodger?”
9:00 am “If it not, no biggy. I hope you had fun at the party. Sorry, we haven’t talked.”
9:10 am “Hope you aren’t ignoring me, let me know.”
Chris missed call, 9:50 am
Seb 10:00 am “Chris said you hadn’t been answering, everything ok?”
10:15 am “Y/N?!?”
11:00 am “Lunch?!?! 12:30 is when we’ll break.”
They were obviously worried about you. You smile at the thought of having someone care about you this much in Cali, unlock your phone and call Seb. No answer. You sign, turn your phone off silent and turn back to answer some emails that were sent while you engrossed in your work. Five minutes later Sebastian calls you back.
“Hey, everything ok?” Seb says as soon as you answer.
“Yeah, just busy meeting these deadlines. Sorry, I didn’t mean to worry you and Chris.”
“It’s ok, it’s just not like you, but we understand deadlines more than most. So, lunch?”
“OH, yes please, I’m starving!” You look down at your half-eaten breakfast, and cold coffee, and think “wow, I HAVE been in the zone”
“I’ll head that way now, see you soon,” you say before hanging up, you hit save, and head out the door. You need to come back to reality, your brain is in a fog from concentrating for so long. As you pass your coworker in the hall, they also notice your zombie-like state and tell you to get some air. That was a good idea, so you walk to the studio. On your walk, you make a conscious effort to not think about work. Then you panicked, you’re first date with Sebastian is tonight! What are you going to wear? Where is he taking you?
You grab your phone and send a quick text to Brittney on your way. “Hey girl, you had a crazy weekend, huh?” “Date with Seb tonight, what should I wear?” You arrive at the gate to show your id, as soon as you speak to the guard none other than Sebastian Stan himself pulls up in a golf cart to drive you over to lunch.
“Hey Doll!” Sebastian greets you with a hug.
“Hey,” you hug him back as the butterflies start to flutter. You think, Chris might be cute, and a lot of fun, but he never makes you have these butterflies. You smile at Seb and grab his hand he has obviously placed in between us not trying to make a move. He smiles back at you as you both arrive at the circle of trailers you recognize. Chris and Dodger run up to greet you, you accept all the kisses from Dodger and hug and peck on the cheek from Chris.
“He gets more action than both of us!” Sebastian smirks.
“Only because she hasn’t had some Mackie lovin’,” Anthony comments as he puts his arm around you, attempting to be cute. You draw him into a hug.
“Hey, Anthony.” You say.
“His NAME is Mackie,” Robert Downing Jr. says walking up to you all. You try to remain calm but it’s freaking RDJ! Maybe not on your celebrity crush list but absolutely one of your favorite actors. “This must be y/n, that I’ve heard you all talking about.” He shakes your hand and draws you in for a hug. You do everything to play it cool, but your 100% sure you came out looking like a giant geek. “They’ve been going on and on about this pool party I missed and I also overheard someone’s taking you out on a date tonight.” You instantly go red, even your ears burn. RDJ smirks, realizing how much he’s embarrassed you and hides you with another hug. “Sorry” he whispers.
“It’s ok!” You smile back at him.
“Well, let’s eat!” RDJ announces as he so nicely changes the subjects and takes you to the head of the food line.
You grab food and take a seat. Chris directs you where to sit and takes the seat next to you. You wonder to yourself where Sebastian is, but Chris answers as if you asked it out loud. “He’s gone to change.” “So, he asked if I was fine if he took you out tonight.” You could hear the disappointment in his voice.
“Yeah, not sure what he has planned. But I should probably ask what to wear.” You reply. “So, you and Brittney were having a lot of fun Saturday.”
“Oh, yeah it was a lot of fun, ya know, till she got sick.” He chuckles and continues to eat.
“Was she feeling ok when she left?”
“Yeah, a lot better. She left not long after you did. Nothing happened.” You were curious as to why he felt the need to add that last part. About then Sebastian sat on your other side. Plate full of food. “Worked hard this morning I see!” You comment about the amount of food in front of him.
“He didn’t do anything but make snarky comments all morning, not even sure how he calls this a job,” Mackie said while taking the place across from all of you.
“I hate you,” Sebastian says with an evil grin on his face, with all of us knowing he’s taking a line from Bucky. He quietly says, “Maybe it's nervous eating,” as he winks.
Lunch went on with a lot of stories and attempting to do their own stunts, and stupid inside jokes they all had and tried to explain to you. As lunch was wrapping up Sebastian was called away to get ready for his next scene and to get back into his prosthetic.
You and Chris go back to his trailer and talk about the trip he’s leaving for tonight, a comic con in Chicago. He asked you to make sure Dodger gets enough love because in his words “he likes you more than me anyway.”
“Jealous much?”
“About what?” Chris replies.
“About Dodger liking me more!” You give him a big smile as Dodger jumps into your lap. Proving your point.
“Just a little.”
You sense something more in his answers, “Are you ok with Sebastian and I going out?”
“Not sure, hate that I missed my chance with you.” He replies shyly while lowering his gaze.
“Chris? I’m sorry. I don’t know what to say, I had no clue you felt that way.” You pause.
“Yes, you’re on my celebrity crush list, well, look at you, of course, you are. And for a moment I thought there might be something, but there are far too many things we disagree on. Can you tell me that wouldn’t be a problem?” You say what’s on your heart, but your heart is breaking thinking of how much Chris is hurt. You move over toward him and pulling him into a hug, he tries to resist but you win. The two of you stand there hugging, for what seemed like forever and he strokes your hair. “I’m sorry,” you whisper, “Please don’t hate me, I need you.”
You two finally part ways and look into one another eyes. “Really?” He responds.
“Yes, you’re making California start to fill like home.” You stand up on your toes to kiss him on the cheek. You pull back and look up at him again. And at that moment he leans down and crashes his lips into yours, taking the air out of your lungs. You instinctually pull back, praying no one was about to walk in unannounced. “CHRIS!” To escape, you rush to the bedroom with tears streaming down your face.
You sit on the end of the bed, trying hard to grasp what just happened. More tears flow. How can things be this complicated 10 days after meeting someone? Having Chris in your life made you happier than you’ve been in a long time, you weren’t lying when you told him, he made California feel more like home.
You send a quick text to the secretary at work, you were already late getting back, “going to need some personal time this afternoon. No worries I’m way ahead of schedule.” Chris knocks on the door and peeks in. “I have to go back. Take all the time you need. Text me when you’re ready.” He shuts the door and then you hear the door to his trailer shut and lock.
You collapse onto the bed, trying to figure any other this out. Why did things have to get so complicated? Sure, Chris is fucking sexy but so is Sebastian. Both have eyes you could stare at forever. But, Chris takes things a little too seriously, delete the twitter rants already. Seb was much more chill, but now, all of this drama. You weren’t even sure if you could go out tonight with Sebastian. You didn’t want to compromise their relationship or the relationships you had with them.
A headache is starting from all the stress and crying, you close your eyes to make it go away. And you drift off to sleep.

Steam Key Giveaway!
I have a bunch of extra game keys from purchasing the Humble Conquer Covid-19 bundle the other day, and after giving away a few to some friends, I have a bunch more I would love to offer to you folks here. c:
The only conditions are it’d be nice if you’re already following my blog, and if you’re not, that’s okay too, but preference is given if you already are. Otherwise you just need to PM me with which key you want, and promise me you will play it at some point and enjoy it!!
There are a few PRETTY DANG NICE games on this list, SERIOUSLY, so just let me know what ya want, and have fun.
Edited to show what’s left, and what’s already been claimed:
*UNDERTALE* ... most folks know what this is of course, and really if you haven’t played it yourself, it’s so good. Ignore the fandom (or don’t) and enjoy this one, it’s such a fun and investing game.
KILLING FLOOR 2 ... I literally don’t know what this game is, Jessie apparently already has it and it’s got shockingly high reviews, so? ?? If you want a gory, violent solo or co-op FPS this may be the game for you! Description of gameplay reminds me of Black Ops zombies, or something. Waves of enemies, currency to upgrade stuff, things like that. If that’s your jam, this could be a entertaining! Edit: I’ve now watched some friends play this extensively, it’s a lot of fun in co-op, not sure of the single player. It’s very fast paced and FUN though, check this one out if that sounds up your alley!
LOSTWINDS ... Looking this one up ’cause I don’t know much about it, seems like a super cute and friendly platformer. Was originally a wiiware game, but folks say the port is nice. It seems like a relatively short one, but it could be a relaxing and fun game to finish in an afternoon. c:
ALIEN SPIDY ... Not sure what to say about this one! Seems really goofy and family-friendly, and it has a spider which is always great! It’s a bit older, 2013, and seems to suffer from unforgiving difficulty progression and imprecise controls, but it could be a fun game to putter around in, and it is kinda cute.
STEALTH INC 2 : A GAME OF CLONES ... A sequel to a game called ‘Stealth Bastard : Tactical Espionage Arsehole,’ to give you an idea of what kind of a game this probably is. Nothing guaranteed though, this game originally came out for the Wii U (remember that?? We have one of those. It was honestly super fun!! So underrated! But I have no idea how well a port of a Wii U game will fare) and I’m not sure what to make of it.
ZOMBOTRON ... This one looks pretty cool!! Graphics are neat, and this dev was apparently pretty well known on a lot of those old flash game websites, like newgrounds and such. The style does feel pretty familiar, and this game has VERY high reviews and seems like a really fun one. Check it out and let me know if this would be something you’d enjoy.
Already Claimed:
**HOLLOW KNIGHT** ... I WILL BE SELECTIVE WITH WHO GETS THIS KEY. Seriously this game is so fucking amazing. One of my favorite games of all time. If we didn’t already have a copy I’d never part with it. This game has it all. Incredible story, unique, BUGS, immersive worldbuilding, BUGS, gorgeous art, BUGSSS, solid gameplay, and did I mention everyone is a frickin’ invertebrate? It’s amazing. It’s such a good game. Please someone who already knows what this is and has wished for it, lemme know, your time has come.
*THE WITNESS* ... I haven’t played this but Jessie says it’s a really fun puzzle-y kind of game. It’s VERY pretty and seems relaxing. By the same folks who made Braid, which I’ve also heard is quite good. This is $40 regular price on Steam and has 9/10 ratings. If you’re looking for a pretty, immersive, relaxing walk-around puzzler in these trying times, then this one might be for you.
*BROKEN AGE* ... Okay, I remember when this game first came out and it was a BIG FRICKIN’ DEAL. This was Tim Schafer’s first return to games like this since Grim Fandango, which is also an EXCELLENT game that I highly recommend. This is a very family-friendly, beautiful (it’s all hand animated 2D) point-and-click style game that reminds me of a lot of Double Fine’s classic stuff. The characters are very cute and charming, the story is nice, and I remember getting pretty invested in it. Without spoiling much I remember the ending being very disappointing, but if you take it all with a grain of salt it’s such a nice game.
A MORTICIAN'S TALE ... This one seems too sad for me right now, but it could be nice for someone looking for a brief, cathartic emotion-cleanser who isn’t as nervous about preparing stylized 2D dead folks. It seems to be very death-positive/neutral and probably a really nice game, but it’s a little much for me right now. It does look very pretty though and people say it’s a good game. If you’d like to play through this one and tell me what you think, lemme know!
DARKSIDERS WARMASTERED EDITION + DARKSIDERS II DEATHINITIVE EDITION ... The first and second Darksiders games, with ALL DLC, prefer they go together but I guess if you only want one that’s cool too!! I don’t know much about these even though Steam shoves them in my face all the time. Edgy third person hack-and-slash with the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse as the focus. Published 2010 and 2012 respectively so I expect these to be a little wonky/unpolished but they look pretty cool. And even if they aren’t I mean come on I’m literally giving these away for free, why not try them out, or give the keys to someone you think might like them?
MAGICKA ... I recall this was a pretty nifty game, reminds me of MMO style combat, it has Very high reviews for such an old game, and the trailer made me chuckle. It’s also single player OR co-op, and you get to be a wizard! And that’s always a good thing.
REBUILD 3 : GANGS OF DEADSVILLE ... Sort of a top-down management-style game, which is one of my favorite genres. It’s a strategy sim game with zombies and dark humor, and if no one wants this game I’ll just keep it myself!
SO THAT’S WHAT I GOT. I’ll update this post as folks claim them, just PM me if you’re interested and I’ll send you the steam key. Check the notes first to make sure I haven’t already given it away first!! Have fun, and stay safe folks. <3

i love reading your posts about being a nanny, its something i like the idea of but i dont think id ever be able to do it
it definitely takes a certain type of person i think, but you can also learn with experience. i have friends who suddenly become very ~aware of themselves~ when talking with a kid. like making sarcastic jokes or something and it’s like um...be yourself?? nobody likes being talked to in a patronising tone, or spoken to like a well behaved dog. but seriously, just be yourself. they already think you’re cool af for not being mom lol. and most kids don’t judge. the amount of times i’ve been self conscious about my appearance at work? zero. the amount of times i’ve been scared my boss will catch me on my phone? zero. the amount of times i’ve plucked a wedgie with confidence? every day. i’d been babysitting kids for like 8 years (including one 5 y/o girl who got dropped off at my house at 8 every morning and was picked up at 6pm five days a week for the entire summer when i was 16...wow) before i became an au pair, but i know people who wing it and are completely fine.
i think the real key to it being a job you can enjoy or be “good” at is patience. because at the end of the day you’re not the parent. it’s not fully up to you to discipline the kids. you get to go home at the end of the day. sometimes you have to bring problems up with the parents to deal with because you’re unsure about their protocol (the kids i take care of aren’t allowed to watch tv or use electronics, so when i showed them a trailer for a movie 6 was like ooooh i’m gonna tell mom!! and i was like fuck). one time 6 peed during a 5 floor elevator ride and i had to reassure her that it was okay, then spend ten minutes wiping up the mess with paper towels hoping to hell no one would need the elevator. luckily that sent her right into the shower so there was no war. like i could have lost my temper and been like WHY DIDN”T YOU JUST HOLD IT. YOU CLEAN IT UP. because she had been holding it for like 30 minutes and she’s 6. i learned from this and whenever one of them says they need to go i’m like WHO WANTS A PASTRY REAL QUICK LET’S GO SPEND 5 EUROS TO PEE.
but at the same time you end up being a really important factor in a child’s life. sometimes they’ll ask you questions they feel like they can’t ask their parents: the 15 y/o teenager i lived with for two years came into my room in tears saying she couldn’t figure out how to use a tampon and she didn’t want to ask her mom, the 9 year old got “the talk” from her mom but admitted to me that she didn’t understand and could she ask me some questions. you’re the one (in my case), who’s making sure they’re clean and have eaten and brushed their teeth before the parents come home. you’re the one helping with homework (and it’s really amazing to be able to be the one teaching a kid how to read at home. i’ve gotten to do this twice and it’s so exciting when they start wanting to read some of their bedtime story instead of letting you do it). at the end of the day it’s a really humbling job.
but patience and understanding is really key, also confidence. sometimes babysitters are the good guy, and you can get away with anything because mom and dad are out for the night. i think that’s normal and fun. but when you’re with the kids every day you don’t get to just be the good guy, or they won’t learn anything. and that’s hard!! because again, you don’t have the full parental authority.
the absolute ABSOLUTE most important thing, which can either be the easiest or most difficult, is getting a solid routine going. especially with younger kids, but it’s good for all ages. once you have the routine set up you’re good for life. obviously sometimes you’ve gotta roll with a doctor’s appointment, or in my case the occasional public transport strike (”who wants to walk a mile today ladies!!!”) it’s especially nice when the kids unconsciously pick up on it and will sometimes prompt you like “how much time do we have to play until bath time?”, or “today is wednesday, so we’re going to the park, but can we go to this one instead of that one?”. so like with the kids i take of now the afternoon routine (except wednesday, which is different) is:
4:30pm: pick up from school, snack while we’re taking the metro back (bc otherwise they get antsy, they haven’t eaten since 11:30)
5:00-5:30pm: homework
5:30-6:30pm: play/read
6:30-7:00pm: one of them takes a bath/shower while i make dinner, the other one sets the table and helps with dinner, or she can read/play
7:00-whenever dinner is finished (normally 7:45pm)
7:45-8ish: second one takes a bath/shower while the other helps clear the table, then she can read/play, after that they both brush their teeth
8:00-9:00 the older one reads while i read to the younger one, or they’ll both listen to me read
also keep in mind this is france where eating late is normal, bedtime is probably later than the US (when i think about putting kids to bed at 7:30 in the US i feel like it’s the afternoon)
idk if you remember, but in september when i started taking care of 6 and 9 i was absolutely miserable. their parents had separated literally weeks before i arrived so the emotional dynamic was chaotic as hell, both apartments were in boxes, they were sleeping over at their grandparents’ house most nights, and here was this new girl they were supposed to trust. i met the girls for about 10 minutes in june when i had an interview, but the next time i saw them was the first day i picked them up from school. they still stress me out way more than the girls i lived with for two years (who were older, but overall just more well behaved), but i love them a lot. for the first two months i seriously thought i’d quit. i was so stressed out every day and felt like i was getting no support from the parents when i brought up problems i was having with their kids. now i really love them and i think they dig me too.
so i think if you want to do it maybe try to get more experience babysitting and trying to get a steady babysitting job! i remember i would babysit the same toddler pretty often and i always had a loose routine with her so that when i came over she knew what to expect and i didn’t feel so harried at age 17. if you’re looking to be an au pair though, especially in a foreign country, you’ve gotta be picky as hell. i learned that from experience. if you don’t think you can handle a baby but you want to live in paris, you’ve gotta put your job before the location. if you do better taking care of boys (i do way better with girls. they’re so awful to each other if they have a sister, but the chaotic physical energy boys seem to have does not agree with me. they’re like dogs i’m like “time to play frisbee i need to wear you out”) look for a family with boys unless you think you can adapt. if you’re fine with both, go for it. if you want to learn/improve a foreign language, try to find a family that’s cool with you speaking their native language. people looking for anglophone nannies often have a 100% english policy. when i plugged in all my search criteria in 2016 i think i found five families total who fit the specifications. and then in addition to that i skyped all of them so i could try and sense if a Vibe was there.
i’m sorry this is so long but i don’t have any au pair friends who kind of like...were there for the job as well as the city...so i never got to gab childcare. ask me all the questions.

hello and welcome!! sooo can u do something w/ ben about him and reader being coworkers and he has such a crush on her and she's clueless so someone else tells her and he's all nervous around reader and all that cute funny stuff? thanks !!
hi there! thank u so much!! i’ve been in the fandom for a couple months now but only made this blog like two weeks ago? anyways. this ended up being longer than expected bc i have no self control i guess? but i hope you like it!! have 1.4k of ben full on pining.
(oh and like i said before, english isn’t my mother tongue. so this is a weird mix of american and british english djfgkjs. and a lot of parenthesis and italics because that’s how i roll).
*
Like most things in Ben’s life as of recent, it was Joe’s fault.
See, he was perfectly fine, actually minding his own business and feeling a lot more comfortable on his own skin after finally getting over a quite messy break up. He was putting himself out there (exclusively for a good time), having fun with his friends, and his auditions were going pretty well too (sometimes people even called him first, things were that smooth, mind you).
So, naturally, Joe fucked it all up. And not even on purpose. The first time he mentioned her they were just catching up on his flat, one of the few times he could be bothered to go to London instead of expecting everyone to show up in New York. And that was it, really. Just one mention of this new friend he made the last time he visited: that was, in a way, all it took. Her name was [Y/N] and she had only moved there recently, working occasionally as a dialect coach and accent expert of sorts, and was somehow shy yet one of the funniest people I have ever met, Benny, I swear to god. You would like her a lot, I think.
And wasn’t that the whole problem? He just, fuck, he just liked her so much it was ridiculous (and quite embarrassing, as the annoying little voice on his head that sounded suspiciously a lot like Gwilym’s would like to add). After that first mention, Joe would just casually bring her up sometimes and not even three weeks later, fate (if you want to call it that) started playing its part as well. If he hadn’t given that much thought to the lovely woman that apparently made his friend cry of laughter once (Joe had this way of taking everything out proportion and besides, he’s just having fun now, right?), Ben was in no way prepared for the absolute angel he met on the first day of production for his most recent movie.
It was kind of humiliating, to say the least. Ben was not used to losing his breath when he met a beautiful woman but, it seemingly turns out, there’s a first time for everything. And it was definitely not the last. It was almost seven am and the weather wasn’t helping a lot in terms of motivation, but her nose was red from the cold, her body shaking a bit under many layers of clothing, a big yellow scarf almost swallowing her up, and Ben was falling under and fast even before she talked and moved him completely: her name was [Y/N] and, because the movie was a historical fiction book adaptation, it was her job to help him practice a swedish accent until it hopefully sounded native (or very close to it, at least). And things just got worse from there, really. Ben’s pretty sure he’s been dying a very slow and painful death for the last two months and, even worse (!), he couldn’t be more obvious about it even if he tried.
He even feels like a creep sometimes. They practice every day and yes, his voice quality seems to be getting a lot better (something about using a lower tone helping the accent roll easier on his tongue), but it’s like his skin can’t stop itching no matter how much he tries. He was, in all seriousness, pretty much shaking the first time they were alone, her small hands helping him correct his posture so he could reach a better pitch; and if he’s being honest with himself, every time after that. It’s like’s he’s restless al the time; the smell of her hair and perfume staying on his memory long after their last hug (and yet not quite enough), her laugh making his heart jump quick whenever they talk, the possibility of seeing her again actually motivating him to get up at five am (!) and the mere thought of kissing her until her knees were trembling was enough to lead to certain uh, interesting thoughts when’s alone in bed at night (or at the tube, the market, the fucking bookshop that one time he prefers not to think about).
The thing is he’s so obvious about it that everyone has noticed. And he doesn’t mean just his co-workers (which is already bad enough!) but also his friends have quickly caught up on his incapability of shutting up (whining, according to Rami) about her and, as expected, they’ve been completely insufferable ever since. Hell, even his mum called him the other day asking when she’s meeting the girl that has him so interested. Fuck Joe, honestly. Why does he even talk to her on the phone, anyways? It’s like he just needs to tell everyone (and well, uhh).
As if he wasn’t already easy to pick on; by all means, he could just put a big sign on his head announcing his feelings into the entire world and it wouldn’t make much of a difference. But, funnily enough, [Y/N] seems to have no idea, even though he’s been torn between (unknowingly) dropping hints constantly and wanting the ground to swallow him whole for a while now. It’s just, she’s probably used to having a ton of people interested? Or maybe she’s been trying to tell you she’s just not that into you and you’re a clueless bastard that she has to deal with because it’s her job? The possibilities are endless, you see.
—Hey, can I– are you busy right now? do you have a minute? –she asked, closing her umbrella and stepping into the trailer, the rain just starting to pour down outside.
Oh.
—Su-sure, of course. Is everything alright? I thought you were going downtown with- –he said, cleaning his now very sweaty palms on the fabric of his pants but stopped abruptly after taking in her blotchy cheeks and shaky hands, holding them with his own before moving one to gently caress her jaw– Hey, did something happen? You’ve been crying, I can tell –his voice caught on his throat upon seeing her eyes fill up with tears again, now holding her face with both hands and trying to get her to look at him– Did someone do something to you? Please, you know you can tell me anyt–
—I talked to Joe –[Y/N] replied, remembering the phone call that had taken place not even half an hour ago, her heart still so hopeful it ached from it– He– Ben, be honest with me, okay? Okay, so, he said, well I guess he implied that– that you may have a crush on me, I think? But like, he could be wrong? Maybe he was joking.
Oh. Oh shit, this can’t be good at all. It was bound to happen eventually. But everything was so perfect (could be more, though, always more) when they were together, running over his lines and practicing impressions until their stomachs hurt from the laughter, drinking tea when it was still impossibly early in the morning and then talking about anything and everything in the afternoon and late into the night, that he forgot this moment was even a possibility.
—He– he did that? –she nodded slowly, not even daring to lift her head, so scared of what she could find in his eyes (is he upset? What if he’s angry, disgusted, even?) and, even more, of what it could mean for them– I– fuck, I could kill him I swear he– listen, I don’t. I don’t want you to feel obligated, alright? This is– I can handle it, really. But I can’t stop, [Y/N], I swear I’ve tried but hell you’re just so– you. And I like you, okay? I like you so much it’s not even funny and if you give me a little more time maybe I can get over it and we’ll still be– umphh– –it felt like he was melting from the inside and bursting at the seams; her lips were soft and chapped from the cold, the absolute best thing he’s ever felt, his hands going from her face to her waist, not knowing where to settle, where to even begin. Months of waiting and craving seemed like nothing (and yet, meant everything) now, knowing that this was at the end of the line.
—You’re an idiot, you know?
She giggled and he fell in love all over again.
Maybe he would thank Joe, after all.

Standing up you walked across the lounge scooping up Rosie you smiled down at her as you paced the length of the room.
“Have you read the article?” Jensen looked up at you from your phone.
Shaking your head you didn’t dare look at him as he stood up, reaching out his hand grabbed your arm stopping you. “Jensen.”
“Sit down, trust me, it’s me just sit down.” His hand ran down your arm. “Trust me.”
Sitting down on the couch as soon as Jensen sat next to you Rosie was squirming in your arms reaching out for him. “She wants you.”
Taking her from you he quickly got her settled in his lap. “Do you want me to tell you what it says? If not Jared will probably tell you when we get to work.”
“No, you tell me, I want to hear it from you.”
“Okay.” His hand slipped into yours giving it a firm squeeze. “Supernatural stars Y/N and Jared Padalecki have started divorce proceedings as stories of Mr Padalecki’s faithfulness to his wife surface, the couple who only welcomed their first child eight months ago are already separating, a source close to the pair has confirmed Y/N has moved out of the home she once shared with Jared.” Jensen paused looking up at you. “It wasn’t me, I can promise you that.”
“Of course it wasn’t you.”
“Do you want me to carry on?” He glanced back down at your phone.
“No, it’s just about Jared right, nothing about us?”
“Nothing about us.”
“Okay, okay, that’s fine, well it’s not fine because the whole world knows my fucking business.”
Jensen’s hand rested on your back. “Just breathe, I have Rosie, go take some time and just breathe.”
Taking a deep breath you stood up. “I have this.”
“You have this.” Jensen nodded as he smiled up at you.
-
Walking into the lounge Jensen was fully dressed in yesterday’s clothes, Rosie rested on his hip as he slowly danced around the kitchen to the chart song playing on the radio as he hummed along. Rosie squealed every time he spun around before erupting into a fit of giggles.
“Hey, you all done?” He smiled at you.
“Yeah, you two look like you’re having fun.”
“We are aren’t we Rosie posie? Do you want a ride into work? I need to stop off at mine and grab a change of clothes, I didn’t really think I’d be staying here last night.”
“Jensen, about last night.” He stopped dancing with your daughter and looked you dead in the eye.
“We can forget it and act like it never happened.”
“What if I don’t want to act like it never happened? What if I want to spend every night with you? What if I want you?”
The smile on Jensen’s face was enough to give you your answer. “Then you have me.” The arm not holding your daughter wrapped around your waist. “You’re sure you want this?”
“Positive.” Leaning up you kissed him. “And I’d love a ride to work.”
“C’mon let’s go.”
-
Your trailer door flew open slamming against the wall. “Jesus.” You jumped your hand covering your heart as Rosie started to cry.
Jared walked in with his hands up shutting the door behind him. “Sorry, it’s me, I wanted to talk to you, baby girl it’s okay.” Jared picked Rosie up gently bouncing her as his hand ran up and down her back. “Shhh Daddy’s here, it’s okay baby.”
“You scared the shit outta me.”
“Sorry, we really need to talk, have you checked your phone this morning.”
“Yeah, I have, I’ve seen the article.” You watched him soothe your daughter back to sleep.
“Y/N, I’m so sorry.”
“What? Why was it you?”
“No, it wasn’t me.”
“You know who it was don’t you.”
Putting Rosie down in her crib he looked up at you. “Yes.” He sighed.
“Are you kidding me?” You hissed, standing up you walked towards him. “Who? When?”
“I only found out this morning, I came to yours to talk but you’d already left.”
“Jared, who?” Your fists clenched at your sides.
Squeezing his eyes shut he pinched the bridge of his nose, taking a deep breath he looked at you. “It was Holly.”
Those three words felt like a punch to the gut. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
“Y/N, I’m sorry I tried everything I could to get it taken down this morning.”
“Wait, let me get this straight the guest star you slept with while I was at home with our newborn daughter, the one you’re still seeing, the woman who is a part in destroying our marriage is the same woman who sold a fucking story about us?”
“No, well yes, but no, yes I messed up and I slept with her but I’m not still seeing her, I broke it off months ago, she’s gone from the show her character was always meant to die, demons have short character arcs anyway, I think she wanted a longer role and when she didn’t get it, she’s done this.
“Then why hasn’t she revealed herself as your little fling?”
“Do you really think she’d reveal herself to our fans as the reason for our divorce? They’d rip her to shreds within minutes, I’m so sorry I was too stupid beyond words to see what I had at home.”
A knock at your trailer door broke the silence. “Y/N we need you in hair and makeup!”
“I’ll be there in five!” You called back. “Jared just go.”
“I have the morning off I can look after Rosie.”
“No.”
“What? You won’t let me look after our daughter?”
“After the past few hours Jared I just want her close, I didn’t expect this to become public so soon, I thought we could keep this quiet for a while, all I wanted was for Rosie to grow up and when she googles our names she’ll find a news story that says we divorced but we’re still friends, I didn’t want her name anywhere near the headlines that are going to come out.”
“You think I do? You think I want kids she goes to school with to google Rosie Padalecki and see the articles? No, I don’t and it’s my fucking fault.”
Your trailer door opened again as Jensen walked in. “Sorry am I interrupting?” He asked shutting the door behind him.
“No.”
“Fuck it, Jensen lock the door.”
Turning around he locked the door before he looked at you. “What’s going on?”
“It was Holly who sold the story.”
“Holly?” Jensen looked towards Jared. “Seriously?”
“Yeah.” Jared sighed. “It’s my fault.”
“Jared -”
“Y/N we really need you!” Sarah called out as she knocked on your door.
“I’m coming!”
“I don’t have to shoot until this afternoon let me look after our daughter.”
“Yeah, okay.”
“Is Jensen in there we can’t find him.” Sarah shouted again.
“Yeah! He’s in here we’re coming now!” Rolling your eyes you looked at Jared. “Do you still have a crib in your trailer?”
“Yeah, yeah.” He nodded at you.
“If you need me call me okay?”
“Will do.”
Checking on Rosie she was fast asleep as you left the trailer with Jensen following you towards hair and makeup.
“Are you okay?”
“I just want to make it through today.”
“We’ll get through today.”
--
You hardly ever locked your trailer door, a fact you were now regretting as Jensen walked in, you didn’t even have to look up to know it was him, you’d worked with them both long enough to be able to tell the difference between their footsteps. “Do you want me to leave you alone?”
“No.”
“Do you want me to get Rosie?”
Sitting up you shook your head. “Jared will bring her back here before he has to shoot.”
“Are you okay?” He asked sitting next to you on your bed.
“No, I feel like my head has been put in a fucking blender, my life has been turned upside down and I don’t know what’s going on anymore, I don’t know who I can talk to, who I can trust -”
“Me.” Jensen took your hand in his. “You can talk to and trust me.”
“What are we? What the hell are we even doing?”
“What do you want to be doing? Because I love you, I know you love Jared and you probably always will you have a baby with him.”
“Jense?”
“Yes.”
“You love me?”
Jensen nodded. “I have for years.”
Reaching up your palm cupped his cheek. “Jensen, I’m -”
“You don’t know what you want, you’re going through a lot every day, I’m here for you and Rosie.” Pulling you into his arms he kissed your cheek. “I’m here.”
“I know.” Smiling at him his palm cupped your cheek.
Leaning up you kissed him a small squeal leaving your lips as he rolled you onto your back, his lips attacking yours.
You heard your trailer door shut, squeezing your eyes shut you pushed Jensen off you, sitting up you opened your eyes. Jared was stood with Rosie in his arms his eyes darting between you and Jensen. “So -”
Jensen sat up next to you, standing up you walked towards him, Rosie was reaching out for you, taking her from his arms you looked up at him. “Jared -”
“No.” He cut you off as he shook his head. “How long?”
“After we split, after I moved out of his.”
“You… you’re together?”
Jensen’s hand rested on the small of your back. “Yeah we are.” You gave a small nod.
“Wow, well okay, I have to go, I have to be on set.” He was out of the trailer before you could say another word.
Taking a step towards the door Jensen moved in front of you. “I’ll go, I have to be on set anyway, I’ll talk to him.”
“Jensen-”
“Do you not want me to talk to him?”
“No, go.”
Cradling Rosie against your chest you wiped the tears from your cheeks as you sat on the couch with your daughter in your arms.
-
Rosie wouldn’t stop crying, you’d tried everything that would usually send her right off to sleep and nothing was working. The pink blanket with elephants on that Jared had bought her when she was 2 months it was her favourite and you couldn’t find it anywhere.
Walking towards Jared’s trailer you caught Chloe one of the PA’s as she ran past you asking her where Jared was, she shouted back that he was on set as she carried on.
Opening Jared’s trailer door you stepped inside freezing when you heard a sniffle.
“I really fucked up huh?” Jared looked up at you, he had Rosie’s blanket in her hands. “Y/N, I’m so sorry.”
“I know, I know you’re sorry.” Walking towards him you sat next to him, Rosie reached out for Jared.
He gently pulled her from you. “You know at some point I thought you’d stop everything and we’d just go back to being us, but as time went on I knew i’d royally fucked up and you were never coming back to me, now I know for sure.”
“Jared, whatever happens with Jensen I’m never going to keep her from you.”
“This isn’t about us anymore, it’s about her.” He looked down at you with fresh tears rolling down his cheeks.
“Yeah.” resting your head against his shoulder you took a deep breath. “It’s about her.”
“I still love you.” He whispered.
Pulling away from Jared he smiled down at Rosie who was currently fast asleep in his arms. “I’m gonna get her home and to bed.”
Jared cleared his throat. “Okay.” He nodded as he stood up, taking Rosie from him you didnt miss the way he was looking at you, the way it pained him to look away from you. “Drive safe and text me when you’re home.” Leaning down he kissed your cheek, his lips lingering against your skin for a few seconds longer than they should have. “I’ll see you both tomorrow.”
“Bye Jared.”
“Bye Y/N.”
-
A knock at the door had you unfurling from your ball on the couch, flinging the door open you crumpled into Jensen’s arms. “Woah, what’s happened?” He asked as he pulled you into his arms kicking the door shut behind him.
Sitting down on the couch he held you against his chest as his hand ran up and down your back. You didn’t have to say a word for him to know what was going on, he just knew. “Shh, I’m here, I’m here.” Jensen’s voice was the last thing you heard as you fell asleep.
