I just wanna say I love your fruit bat!reader and I just had to think about the boys further misunderstanding when reader maybe has a darker aesthetic, but reader doesn't get at all the connection cause like yeah black's just a neat colour, oh I guess vampires are cool. Wait me? *Mouthful of orange or something* me no fruits all the way? I don't know what you mean.
On one side it would be incredibly funny as misunderstanding but the devil is whispering in my ear so let’s walk the other way.
Imagine Reader freshly selected to join the team, nervous about meeting new people who they read EVERYTHING on, just to be ready.
And no one is hostile, right? They are friendly, almost too friendly, which grates on your nerves a little but you know, maybe you are thinking too much about it?
Works up until the first joke about the vampires, huge wolf operator (you find out later that his call sign is Ghost).
“Know why people don’t like workin’ with vampire bats?”, the question catches you off guard, your eyes snapping to the man’s eyes and you tilt your head to the side. You don’t know him yet, you aren’t sure how much of a reaction is allowed in this circumstance.
“‘Cause they are pain in the neck”, he announces, his brown eyes boring a hole into you, his tail wagging like he is waiting for you to start laughing.
You don’t. You stare right back at him, fingers flexing so the sharp points of your claws dig into your palm and you manage a smile that feels a little too forced.
Big wolf in front of you apparently sees it as well, because you can see the way his jaw flexes under the mask.
So for some reason he decides to give it another go. (Only months later you will find out that Simon was desperately scrambling for all the bat x vampire puns he remembered, thinking that the first one sounded a little too abrasive)
“What drink does bat order at the bar?”, he asks, his left ear giving in a small twitch that catches your eye. He sure is big for the wolf, most of their family you met in the past were tall and lean but this guy is built like a bloody tank.
“What?”, you ask, heart beating a little harder than you’d like it, anxiety coiling in your gut.
“A Bloody Mary”, wolf hums out, his ear giving in another twitch and corners of your mouth curl upwards. Cute.
Wolf’s tail starts to wag again, eyes satisfied as he walks off and you follow him to see your new space and unpack.
Isn’t so bad for the first meeting, right?
But in hindsight every interaction from then on felt…somehow forced. Recurring about blood and meat and fucking Halloween. Remarks about wearing too much black or the way Soap once chuckled at the silver chain with a beautiful red cross. Not a religious symbol but simply an accessory you liked.
It all was piling up so quickly you decided to just…stay on the outside. Maybe that would be better. Maybe they were trying to tell you that they didn’t want a bat and didn’t like bats.
That they didn’t like you.
It takes time to undo and the process is slow — you are a tough nut to crack, but they don’t try to crack you. Just…make amends, yeah?
Your relationship with Simon makes a cycle when he peels you oranges, eyes soft as you devour pieces of peaches.
“Do you know what’s a vegetarian vampire bat’s favourite fruit, luv?”, he hums out, placing a peeled orange in your bowl, something in his tone making you feel fuzzy.
“What is it?”, his tail is wagging and god the way he looks at you makes something tender in your chest ache, you mouth voluntarily falling open when he pushes a piece of peach in it, eyes crinkling.
“A neck-tarine”, Simon murmurs, his tail wagging harder when you laugh after a beat, juices from fruit dripping down your chin.
You shake your head at him in faux disbelief and he grins, popping a slice of orange in his mouth.
“Can do it all night”
You roll your eyes and instinctively smack his hand away when he tries to steal your bowl.
“That’s what I’m afraid of”

♪ — 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗜’𝗩𝗘 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗 lando norris x fem! reader (angst) fic summary . . . Lando's playboy image has everyone, including yourself, convinced he's just another guy who sleeps around, until he finally opens up about his feelings that is (482 words)
( my master list | more of lando norris ) ( requests )
There was a sharp edge to your voice tonight. Lando had heard you angry before, but never like this. Never when it was aimed at him.
“You know what, Lando?” you snapped, arms crossed as you stood in his hotel room. “Why don’t you go find some random girl and fuck your feelings out like you always do?”
Lando flinched like you’d struck him.
You didn’t even see it. Or maybe you did, but you didn’t care—not in the heat of the moment. Not when he’d been pissing you off all night, poking at you, pushing, teasing like always, but this time it was different. This time it hurt, and you didn’t even know why.
Lando let out a short laugh, but there was nothing funny about it. “Is that really what you think of me?”
You scoffed. “Everyone knows, Lando. It’s not exactly a secret.”
Everyone. Social media. The paddock. The world.
Everyone had an opinion about him. About the playboy image, about the girls, about the headlines. He knew what people said. Knew what they thought.
But he never thought you believed it.
Lando exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair. His voice was quieter now, strained. “You really think I just sleep around with random girls?”
You shrugged, still defensive. “I mean… yeah?”
And fuck—something inside him cracked.
His hands clenched into fists at his sides, his whole body taut like a string pulled too tight. His throat was burning, his heart was pounding, and suddenly, the words he’d been burying for years clawed their way up his throat.
“I don’t.”
Your brows furrowed. “What?”
“I don’t sleep around,” Lando bit out. His voice shook, but he didn’t stop. Couldn’t stop. “Because the only girl I have ever wanted is you.”
The air in the room changed.
You blinked, lips parting slightly, but no words came out.
Lando let out a breath, shaking his head. “God, do you have any idea what it’s like?” His voice wavered now, and fuck, his eyes were stinging. “To be so fucking in love with you that it hurts?”
He laughed bitterly, swiping at his face. “I can’t even look at another girl because no one—no one—could ever compare to you. And yet, here you are, shouting at me, looking at me like I’m some kind of—some kind of fucking stranger.”
You still weren’t saying anything.
“Jesus, Yn,” Lando whispered, voice thick with emotion. “You’re tearing me apart.”
His chest felt tight, too tight, like his ribs couldn’t contain everything inside him anymore. Like it was all breaking apart and you were just standing there, watching him bleed.
Silence stretched between you, thick and suffocating.
And then, finally, your lips parted, your voice barely above a whisper.
“…You love me?”
Lando huffed out a breath, looking away as a tear slipped down his cheek. “I don’t know how to do anything else.”
“Just—just forget it,” he mumbled. “I’ll go.”
And then he turned, chest tight, hands trembling—because if he stayed, if he looked at you for even a second longer, he was pretty sure his heart would never recover.

summary: your first season as an f1 driver doesn't start the best, and you quickly realise McLaren doesn't like women very much. On top of that, your race engineer is as smug as the rest of them, and you have to deal with him all the time.
pairing: race engineer! oscar piastri x f1driver! fem! reader
warnings: lots of misogyny, lando is an asshole in this, illusions to ed behaviour, reader is not in a good head space, all of mclaren is super sexist, mentions of crashes and injuries.
a/n: thank you all very much for your patience, this series means a lot to me and I've had a lot of personal stuff going on, so I felt bad for leaving you guys hanging for a bit. Thank you all so much for reading this series and I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I love writing it!
part one | part two | part three | part four | part five | part six | part seven
୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅
Abu Dhabi. World Drivers Champion. World Constructors Champions.
Holy shit.
All those years of hard work, of giving up being a child, of giving up having friends or family. You’d done it. You were a winner.
You jumped out of the car and ran straight to Oscar, jumping in his arms. He caught you (of course) and cheered with you.
“You fucking did it!” he smiled, pulling your helmet off. “You did it!”
Every emotion flooded through you, but one in particular stood out; gratefulness.
You were grateful for Oscar, for how he treated you, for who he was. He was there for you through everything, he helped you whenever he could, and while yes, you had a rough start, in the end you couldn’t imagine F1 without Oscar in it.
“Thank you, Osc, for everything,” you smiled, hugging him close.
“Anytime. Whenever. Always,” he nodded.
୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅
He was drunk as fuck, but he was still watching you as you chatted with various team members.
“You’re fucked, aren’t you?” Lando chuckled, joining his side.
Oscar rolled his eyes. “I’m drunk, yes.”
“No. You’re fucked for her,” Lando pointed twoards you. Perfect, unreachable, you.
“Yes,” he nodded, frowning. “I’m fucked for her.”
“It’s pretty clear.”
“I know it is,” Oscar scoffed. “Thanks for Baku, by the way.”
Lando sighed. “Look, I’ve said a lot of shit this season that I didn’t mean, and I’m sorry I was a dick to the two of you. It wasn’t right and I do feel bad about it. So, I’m sorry.”
“Thank you, but that doesn’t solve the fact that she’s being this mysterious weirdo and acting really into me and then really not,” Oscar whined.
“She’s a very broken person-”
“You think?” Oscar rolled his eyes. “You’re not exactly giving me much hope right now.”
Lando laughed at his drunk state. “Just talk to her,” he offered. “She listens to you no matter what.”
Oscar stared at him, then nodded. “Good idea!” he announced (a little too loud as it drew the attention of a few people around the two of them), and looked at you. But you weren’t there. Oscar frowned again.
“You’ll find her before the end of the night, I’m sure you will,” Lando clapped a hand on his shoulder and passed him a bottle of water to sober him up. “Good luck.”
୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅
Oscar had decided to go find you, he wanted to talk. On the way there, he’d acquired about three more drinks and pissed off a small group of other McLaren employees by spilling one of his three drinks and apologised profusely (albeit rather mumbly), and that’s when you came in with a hand on his shoulder and a gentle smile that brushed it all over.
“Are you alright?” you asked him, taking him to a corner to look him over.
“Y/n?” he questioned, his vision blurry. “Is that you?”
You chuckled. “Yeah, it’s me buddy, you alright?”
He nodded, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you in for a hug. “I’m so proud of you.”
“I’m proud of you too, Osc, come on, we get you to bed?” you offered, pulling one of his arms over your shoulder and helping him walk.
“Bed sounds good,” he nodded, allowing you to walk him to his room.
Drunk Oscar was what you assumed three year olds acted like. He pressed every button in the lift, ding-dong ditched people in the hallway, and stripped (almost) naked the second he got in the door of his room. After a few minutes of being in his room, he decided it was a good time to puke his guts out in the toilet, and you, being the good samaritan you are, decided to stay with him.
“Feeling any better?” you asked, putting a cold cloth on his head as he lay in bed. You sat beside him, holding his hand.
He shook his head, his eyes closed and a grimace on his lips. “Shit.”
You chuckled lightly. “You’ll feel better in the morning.”
He opened his eyes and stared into yours, his hand resting over your hand. And time (as it always did when he was looking at you like that) stopped. The world melted away, and it didn’t matter that it was 2 in the morning, or that he’d just vomited, or that all of this was a lot more confusing than either of you had anticipated. You two just got to be with each other, and that was enough for the both of you.
“Why don’t you love me?” he asked, his voice small and raw. He spoke to you with all the care in the world, but you could see he was hurting. You were hurting him.
Fuck. Why couldn’t any of this be easy? Why couldn’t you just… talk to him? Confess to him? Be normal? The boy you love was sitting there in front of you telling you he loved you and you just… froze for a moment. You took a deep breath. “Osc, of course I love you,” you whispered. “But you shouldn’t love me. I wouldn’t be any good for you.”
“I don’t care-”
“You’d end up hating me-”
“I could never hate you,” he shook his head, reaching a hand up to cup your cheek. “I could never hate you.”
And you believed him. That was the scary part. You believed him when he told you he loved you. You believed him when he said he cares. You believed him when he said you look beautiful. You believed him when he said he wouldn’t hate you. “You should,” you whispered, tears forming in your eyes.
“I couldn’t,” he whispered back, a soft smile on his face. He wiped away a tear that fell. “I don’t want you to be scared of how you feel.”
“I don’t want to hurt you,” your voice broke. “I’m not an easy person to love.”
“I disagree,” he chuckled, wiping every tear away. “I find it’s as easy as breathing.”
And you couldn’t take it anymore. You curled up beside him and sobbed. You didn’t know how long you’d done it for, but you woke up beside him, the steady rise and fall of his chest against your head giving you something to ground yourself to. You remembered every moment of last night, every word he said, and everything you said.
You just hoped he wouldn’t.
୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅
When Oscar woke up, he knew there was something he had asked you last night, but he couldn’t remember what. After his conversation with Lando, there was nothing else he really remembered, apart from the fact that you had brought him up to his room, and he pieced together that he’d probably asked you to stay (being the pathetic hopeless romantic he is), and that’s why you were in his bed.
A few seconds after waking up, the hangover hit, and fuck it was bad. His entire body ached.
“I’m never drinking again,” he groaned, his voice hoarse.
You chuckled beside him. “Remember anything?”
He sighed, turning to meet your eyes. “Nope.”
As much as that destroyed you, you knew it was for the better. Oscar was better off without you, that, you knew for sure. But, you also couldn't put aside the confession he'd made last night. “I find it’s as easy as breathing.” It played in your head over and over again, like a mantra that made every negative thought in your head silent for a few seconds. Oscar was good at that, making you question yourself. Either way, you were glad he hadn't remembered. It was for the better, right?
There was a split second where he could’ve sworn he saw a flash of disappointment in your eyes, but it was gone as quickly as it was there, replaced with a smile. “Well, let’s go back to Monaco.”
He groaned just thinking about facing the day, but the fact that he woke up next to you meant it was better than any day he’d ever had.
He definitely needed to know what he asked you last night. And you definitely needed him to not find out.

Quiet Riot
ᴡᴏʀᴅ ᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ: 3.2k
ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢꜱ: protected then unprotected sex, mean!Rafe, mean!reader, Rafe’s a slut, bickering, degradation, name calling (slut, whore, bitch)
ꜱᴜᴍᴍᴀʀʏ: Rafe was never created to be a good roommate. He constantly finds ways to be loud and disrupt your peace, so it’s unsurprising that when you need to finish a project he’s fucking another girl.
You needed to get this project done. It was your fault for procrastinating it, but right now Rafe certainly wasn’t helping. No. Right now, he was banging a girl in his bedroom next to yours. The apartment layout was bad enough that your room was stuck next to his, but he was never quiet. You’d think someone who needs to sneak around for a living would know how to be quiet but apparently not.
Hearing another loud moan from the girl he had over made you drop your pencil. You didn’t see the appeal that granted him a new girl to fuck every other night. Maybe that was a slight exaggeration but still. A louder moan that sounded close to a dying cat had you standing up to go to his room. Sure you’d slept with other people in the apartment before. You were no saint yourself, but you avoided doing it when he was busy. More than what he could say.
Rafe slid his cock in and out of the girl, who’s name he wasn’t sure of, and flared his nostrils. Sweat beaded on his forehead from the exertion while his eyes were focused on the slick coating his condom. He pounded back into her with a lewd squelch before he heard your knock on the door over her moaning. Knock was an understatement.
A groan of exasperation left his lips and he looked down. “One second.” Rafe squeezed her waist and pulled out with a grumble. “I’m coming, damn!” He rolled his eyes at your continued knocks. His fingers tugged at the latex as he pulled off the used condom. Rafe tossed it in the trash and glared at the bin.
“Waste of a good condom.” Rafe sighed and grabbed a towel on his chair to cover his still hard cock, the girl forgotten on his bed. He yanked open the door to see your fist raised to knock again. “What?” His eyebrows were raised while looking at you, his pupils wider than normal.
You huffed and looked at him, crossing your arms. “Can you please be a little quieter? Shit, cover her mouth if you have to!” You hissed out the last sentence, not wanting to embarrass the poor girl. Rafe, however, could get the brunt of your frustration and god if he didn’t like it. He was almost annoyed with how quickly his dick twitched at the sight of you being upset.
You furrowed your eyebrows and jerked your head in the direction of your bedroom. “I have shit to do!” Rafe leaned against the door frame somehow looking relaxed in this state. It wasn’t the first time you butted heads and it was doubtful that it would be the last.
He blew a lazy puff of air out of his mouth, a smug smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. “Well, aren’t you being a little bitch today?” He let out a low chuckle, his voice dripping with mockery. His eyes narrowed slightly as he looked you up and down, taking in your irritated expression when you scoffed.
Rafe pushed himself off the door frame and stepped closer to you, soundlessly padding over the floor. “You know what?” he said with a wicked grin, enjoying the power play. “I’ll keep the noise down if you promise to keep those lips of yours occupied with something other than bitching. Now I’m wondering…can you do that?”
Your nose scrunched up in disgust at his innuendo and you took a step back. In the opened up space the now modestly dressed girl dipped out between the two of you. She ducked her head and rushed out the front door, not sparing either of you a glance. Slowly turning back to look at Rafe, you faked a wince.
“Yikes..” You looked down momentarily before quickly glancing back up. It was hard not to notice the obvious bulge that his towel clung to. The white cloth only reached his mid-thigh, keeping his deep v-line visible. You fake gagged at the sight. Deep down your heart raced, but you wouldn’t let him have that satisfaction, opting to reach up and flick between his eyebrows. “Man whore. Can’t believe you’d break *another* girl's heart like that.”
Rafe reached out to catch your wrist mid-flick, his grip firm but not too tight. Rafe let out a throaty chuckle at your ‘disgusted’ reaction, enjoying how it heated up your cheeks. “Watch it,” he replied, his voice low. “You know I love it when I prove you wrong, but don’t mess with me when I would happily punish you.”
Rafe tilted his head to the side. “And she knew we were only fucking. Didn’t seem like you knew that.” With a teasing grin, he leaned in closer, his breath warm against your ear. “But you can't deny that you were enjoying it. I saw you looking at me, you know?” He saw how your pupils blew out at the sight of him sweaty and almost entirely naked.
Your breath hitched at his vulgar words. You knew Rafe lacked a filter, it was common knowledge, but it didn’t make it any less shocking. Your eyes caught his, your lips parting in shock. “I-“ “I bet you’re getting wet thinking about it.”
Rafe released your wrist, letting his hand trail down your hand before he took a step back, giving you some space. You blinked slowly then shook your head, pulling your hand back from hovering in the air. Fuckkk. He was right, you could feel slick slowly pooling into the fabric of your underwear. Rafe’s eyes roamed your body, his gaze trailing from your cheeks down to the curve of your lips.
“But if you'd rather keep acting like a prude, that's your loss.” He shrugged casually. “I’m not acting like anything, I just don’t like you,” you retorted semi-easily. He rolled his eyes at your stubbornness. “Whatever,” Rafe continued on as if you weren’t discussing him making you wet.
“What's so fucking important that you have to interrupt me, huh?” His eyes sparked with something unidentifiable as he awaited your response. You rolled your eyes and turned to look back at the open door to your room. Rafe would obviously throw a fit if he knew he was interrupted over you needing to do a project. “Just doing shit, get off my dick.” You huffed.
Rafe couldn't help but feel a surge of satisfaction at the effect he had on you. “Yeah. Shit,” he laughed, shaking his head. “See, I know what you’re doin’,” he lowered his voice conspiratorially. Looking up at him, you rolled your eyes. “And what’s that, Rafe?”
“You’re actin’ like a frigid bitch cause you like me.” At your incredulous laugh he leaned further into your space. “No, I get it. Big, bad, evil Rafe…and shit you like him. I’d be scared too.” His voice was too smug for your liking as he straightened back up with a satisfied smirk.
“You may not like me, but your body sure does,” he rubbed his jaw, chuckling. “And I’d bet it’s been a bit since someone properly took care of you.” His blue eyes stayed focused on you, his hand moving to slide over his crotch. His thick fingers grazed over his covered length. It was a mystery as to how his tip wasn’t exposed by the shorter towel.
“But shit, if you want me to hop off, then I will. I'm always here if you change your mind,” he mused, his voice laden with hidden invitation. Rafe’s hands raised in fake surrender and with a smug smile he turned on his heel to walk back into his bedroom. The door swung shut, but he made no move to properly click it closed. The choice was yours, and Rafe knew that he had planted a seed of curiosity in your mind that wouldn't easily be ignored.
The image of his erection under the towel that his hand had rested over, thumb stroking up and down over the hidden skin was stuck in your head. “Jesus, Rafe.” You sighed to the shut door. A battle raged it’s war in your mind. You knew what would happen the moment you stepped into his room. Shifting on your feet you groaned quietly before crossing over the threshold, pushing the door back open.
Your eyes studied the familiar decorations and landed on him by his bed, still only in his towel. Rafe leaned nonchalantly against the edge of his bed, his eyes glimmering with anticipation as he watched you cautiously enter his room. The towel that barely covered his muscular frame showed off his physique, leaving little to the imagination.
His tongue darted out to wet his lips as he studied your every move, his eyes locked onto yours, filled with hunger. “Changed your mind already?” Rafe grinned proudly. He pushed himself off the bed, closing the distance between you with slow, measured steps. Rafe’s fingers reached out, his touch feather-light as they grazed along your jawline, his voice a mere whisper against your ear. “Didn’t know you were such a slut.”
Rafe’s hand trailed down from your jawline, his ghosting over your neck, teasingly trailing down the curve of your collarbone. His touch left a trail of electric anticipation in its wake, raising goosebumps on your skin. “If you want me to back off, say so,” he mumbled, his lips brushing temptingly close to yours. “If you don't, there’s no going back. I’ll give you everything you need.
You rolled your head back to expose the column of your throat. “No. I want this..I want you.” Your voice was strained and you fluttered your eyelids closed. For a moment the only sound was your breaths fanning over each other's lips. Taking initiative, your hands moved to rest on his bare chest. Once slid up and over the curvature of his shoulder to find the hair at the nape of his neck. “Please.”
There was no going back now. You could only trust that he’d take care of you like how he trusted you. Outside of sex you knew him and he could be kind, even when he acted like he wasn’t. He had and would never hurt you. You trusted him. The tension in the room grew thicker as desire mingled between the two of you. His hands moved to rest gently on your waist, pulling you closer until there was almost no space left between you. The heat from his bare chest seeped through the fabric of your shirt, setting your skin ablaze with anticipation.
Rafe’s voice was a low rumble as he spoke, his breath tickling your lips. “Trust me, relax. I'll give you exactly what you need,” he murmured the promise. You could see the fire burning in his dark eyes, a spark of something deeper than desire. He was a man of many contradictions and lies, but in this moment, there was something genuine in his gaze.
“I've got you.” With that, his lips crashed against yours with a need that matched your own. The kiss was immediately passionate, filled with the pent-up desire that had been brewing for far too long. His hands roamed your body, exploring every curve and dip with a familiarity that betrayed his previous insinuations of not caring.
His touch became bolder and more desperate with each passing second. You moaned freely into his mouth, digging your fingertips into his hair and tugging. Rafe hissed momentarily before groaning low in his throat when your fingernails raked down his chest. Angry red marks rose on his tanned skin, a testament to your want.
Through your shorts and his thin towel his hard cock nestled against your thighs. You pulled back and then pressed forward repeatedly, pecking smaller but just as needy kisses on his lips. “Need…to..ride..you.” Each word was punctuated by a kiss before you bit his lower lip. His bottom lip was sucked into your mouth, your teeth pulling it down before popping it back into place.
The pain mingled with his pleasure, heightening the sensations that coursed through his body. Rafe returned your kisses with equal fervor, his lips hungry against yours, relishing in the taste and warmth that they offered. “Fuck,” he groaned. “‘M not going to say no that” His cock pressed firmly against your in rhythm with the grinding of your hips, each movement sending a jolt of pleasure coursing through his body.
Rafe’s hands tightened around your waist, guiding you onto the edge of his bed. He positioned himself in front of you, hands exploring your body when you sat back. Your own hands grappled at his shoulders and tugged him on top of you. Lips finding each other again, you both slowly crawled backwards up the bed. The earlier girl was completely forgotten in his mind. It was only you, you, you.
Rafe’s muscular arm slipped under you and easily flipped the two of you over so you were on top now. He gripped your hips, guiding you down to straddle him. “Take what you need.” he urged, his breath hot against your ear. “Ride me.” In any other situation you would have thought of a dumb quip, but right now you were too caught up with him.
Your hand swept the loose towel to the side and off the bed. Mouths opening, the two of you kept your lips close to let your tongues swirl outside of the confines of your mouth. Rafe’s teeth nipped at the tip of your tongue before he lapped at it to soothe the sting. It should be gross, all the spit coating your lips, but Rafe made it feel so good.
You were too distracted to take your shorts off properly, fumbling with the button. It strained before popping out of the slot and letting you yank them off. Rafe hurriedly helped you slip them off your ankles and tossed it to the floor, pulling you back down right after.
Your underwear were molded to the shape of your cunt, soaked when you desperately ground down against his begging cock. Rafe was just as lost in the pleasure as you were, head knocked back and groaning unabashedly. Rafe forced himself to look down and watch your every move with a racing heart. The friction of the cloth against his flesh was a sweet torment, igniting a fire in his gut that demanded release.
His arms, toned and strong, moved to rest above his head, offering himself to you completely. Rafe’s breath came in short bursts, his anticipation palpable in the air. He held your gaze, the connection between you both unbroken as you hovered over him. “Fuck,” he murmured, his voice a rough whisper. “You gonna do something?”
The look in his eyes showed a burning need for fulfillment that could only be sated by each other's touch. And as you pressed your cover cunt against his cock, the desire reached a fever pitch, the promise of pleasure and ecstasy just a heartbeat away. “Need it off fuck.” You grunted in response, feeling his hands assist you in pulling your underwear off. Rafe’s hands helped shove down the tight material past your thighs. With a relieved sigh, you found some relief in the cool air, your cunt throbbing.
The momentary reprieve was followed by a sigh of repose when you sat up to straddle him. You raised onto your knees and wrapped a hand around his dick, guiding him to your folds. Your hips moved, sliding him between your puffy lips, coating him in your wetness. It didn’t seem to be enough though, his worried expression not going unnoticed.
Your head shook instantly as you held eye contact with him. You knew what you wanted, and you needed it now. Foreplay was far from your mind, all you needed was him. “Only need you.” You admitted. “Right fucking now.” Slowly, deliberately, you lowered yourself onto his cock, savoring the sensation of being stretched out and filled.
Your hand came down to circle your clit, making your thighs twitch on either side of him. It effectively moved your focus away from the stinging. The feeling of familiar discomfort mixed with pleasure had the thought of coming around him conquering all else. Rafe took deep breaths, an almost pained look on his face as he slid into you.
This is what he had been missing out on. If he had sucked up his pride earlier he could have been fucking you way sooner. He couldn’t have any regrets though when both of your hips began to rock back and forth as he bottomed out. “Fuck,” Rafe cursed. Finding a rhythm that allowed you to adjust to his size was easy enough, Rafe seemingly knowing your body already.
Rafe gave up trying to relax back, too invested now to let you go and do all the work. He’d prove how good he could be so you’d come back to him. His hands rested on your thighs now, blue eyes filled with intensity. “You’re going to ride me,” he stated. “And I’m gonna guide you. A’ight?” At his words you nodded and tilted your head back with shut eyes. “Yeah…yeah, please.” You mumbled without thought.
Without any hesitation, his hips rolled, circling his dick deep inside you. The base of his dick brushed against your cunt, signifying that he had claimed you. A raw moan ripped its way through your body when his grinding drug his cock against your g-spot.
It was as if a bolt of lightning shot through your body, electrifying every nerve ending and causing you to jerk forward involuntarily, your clit pressing against his pubes. “God fucking damn,” Rafe groaned, the sound resonating from deep within his chest. The sheer pleasure of completely filling you drove him wild.
Picking up the pace, his hips continued their rhythmic motion while his hands on your thighs lifted and lowered your body with little effort, biceps flexing. “Holy fuck Rafe,“ you bit your lip in concentration before slamming your hips forward, his tip hitting that sweet spot again. Driven by the insatiable need for more, you ground forward and rutted up against his body to stimulate your clit.
The motion sent you forward and back onto his dick to stimulate your cunt simultaneously. As you humped him, your walls clenched around his thick cock, drawing him deeper with every movement. Unable to resist the temptation, Rafe’s hand reached down, his fingers curling around a fistful of your ass, spreading you open even further.
The rough touch mingled with the pleasure coursing through your veins amplifying the euphoria of finally fucking him. Rafe fucked into you with uninhibited fervor, his grip on your ass giving him a handle to support your body while he drove his hip’s mercilessly into you. “Gonna come inside. Shit. You want that?”
Feeling you clench, he grinned and pressed his forehead to your shoulder. “Knew you’d like a creampie, slut.” You grimaced, smacking his shoulder, the sound masked by skin on skin slapping. “That’s disgusting, don’t say it like that.”
Rafe snorted, “How else do you want me to say it? I’m telling it like it is. You want my cum deep in your pussy.” He bounced you on his dick, victorious when you moaned instead of talking back. “That’s what I fucking though, now shut up while I fill you up.” Rafe grunted, his balls tightening as he hissed through his teeth.

You need to do a NSFW Alphabet - Hwang In-Ho version🤫🫣
NSFW ALPHABET — HWANG IN-HO
A/N: 😏
A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)
ၴႅၴ Very cuddly. In some sense, In-ho is terrified of you leaving him like his first wife. He knows he can’t handle another loss, and in a way, he feels like holding you will stop you from leaving him.
B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
ၴႅၴ For In-ho, he doesn’t really have a favorite body part on himself. I honestly think he could care less. Meanwhile, for you, In-ho is definitely a boobs or thighs guy.
D = Dirty secret (pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
ၴႅၴ I don’t think In-ho is the type to have any ‘secrets’ when it comes to intimacy. With the people he cares about and cherishes, I doubt he’d keep much from them. He seems like an honest man with you.
E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
ၴႅၴ Very experienced. He is an older—yet extremely attractive—man, who not only had an ex-wife (may she rest in peace), but several other partners as well.
F = Favorite position (this goes without saying)
ၴႅၴ Breeding press.
G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
ၴႅၴ Very serious. I don’t see In-ho as the type to make jokes on the regular, and definitely not during your intimate time.
I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
ၴႅၴ A professional romantic. In-ho knows just what to say to you every single time. His words are a mix of degrading and praising—but mainly praising.
J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)
ၴႅၴ Nope. Why would he? He has you!
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
ၴႅၴ Breeding kink. I’m not sure if these count, but he also loves creampie and cockwarming too! Possibly a lactation kink aswell…anything that involves you carrying his child.
L = Location (favorite places to do the do)
ၴႅၴ The bedroom or office.
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
ၴႅၴ Fast, but sensual.
Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
ၴႅၴ Absolutely not. Never. He likes to take his time with you.
R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
ၴႅၴ Maybe…? I don’t think so though. He’s been doing it for a long time and he knows what he likes and what he doesn’t.
S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
ၴႅၴ I’d say a 3-4 on a regular night, and maybe 4-5 if he’s pent up.
T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
ၴႅၴ Haha…nope!
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
ၴႅၴ In-ho is usually a pretty fair man—unless you are being bratty. Then he just has to remind you of your place by edging you for what feels like hours.
W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
ၴႅၴ Bro is trying to get you pregnant on a regular basis.
Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
ၴႅၴ Very slowly—if at all. Like the salesman, I think In-ho is a very light sleeper, because he knows the dangers that his job brings both you and him.

Can we have more Jerry content please?
"Familiar, like my mirror years ago"
Yandere!female!mafia x reader
Summary: darling getting shot reminds Jerry of memories she can't help but repress, and is now forced to face
Warnings: gore? Blood, lots of it, pain, trauma? In other words, a dark oneshot
Word count: 4.5k
She can’t believe it. The sight is enough to make her sick. Her darling, her only light in this miserable life, lying unreachable in a hospital bed with countless machines connected. How could she ever have let that happened? She’s been sitting by your bed for hours, holding your hand tightly and not looking away. She hasn’t felt a pain like this for a long time, not since her family died. Jerry tries her best to think of something else, but it keeps coming back.
“Mom and dad are out, I’m supposed to make dinner for us.”
Yuna looks up from her homework and grimaces. She’s still wearing her school uniform. “Then we won’t eat”, she mumbles sulkily.
“Hey, watch it.”
Yuna laughs. Jerry’s long hair is tied into a loose ponytail. She sits down on the floor beside her younger sister, watching over her while drinking from a juice pouch. Yuna’s much smarter than her, both in school and life, and that’s good enough for Jerry. She doesn’t have to be smart if Yuna is.
Yuna lifts her head up from her math book. She looks over her shoulder at Jerry.
“Sister, there’s a boy in my class”, she says, “and I think that he likes me. He asked me to go to the amusement park on friday.”
“Who’s this rat?” Jerry scoffs.
“He’s the class president.”
“Oh, your academic rival.” Jerry takes a new sip of her juice. “Is he smarter than you?”
“No.”
Jerry smiles and ruffles Yuna’s hair. “I know that’s right. My little sister is the smartest in school.”
Yuna squirms embarrassedly, but her smile exposed her.
“Before you go out with him I want to meet this little boy of yours”, Jerry says as she bites the straw. “I need to accept him.”
“He’s nice, I promise.”
“I’ll believe that once I see it.”
“Please don’t embarrass me.”
“Embarrass you? Do you think I’m a child?” She thinks for a second. “Don’t answer that.”
Yuna chuckles.
“What about you, sister?” she asks. “Don’t you have someone that you like?”
Jerry leans her head against the wall.
“No”, she replies and smiles. “I don’t need one. Well, are you hungry? Should we get some food?”
“What are you going to make?”
“I’m not going to cook, we’ll go out and buy something. If mom and dad doesn’t know we’re eating junk food, they can’t get mad. I’m feeling like tteokbokki or convenience store food, what about you?”
“Street food sounds nice.”
“Good, let’s go.”
Jerry stands up and goes to grab her jacket. Yuna follows. They walk out of the apartment, out onto the lit up street. The stars in the night sky twinkle beautifully. They walk side by side. Yuna’s shorter than Jerry, for now, but she’ll be taller in a year, she’s sure of that. Yuna’s only sixteen. Jerry’s eighteen. Jerry was Yuna’s age when she started doing things she shouldn’t. It had started small with skipping class, then smoking, then tealing lip glosses from the mall. And then it escalated to robbing and assaults. Jerry wondered where she would be if she hadn’t befriended the wrong people. She had never been good in school, not like Yuna, but had been good at PE. But that doesn’t matter. She has a new chance with Yuna now, to make sure that she does everything Jerry didn’t and make sure Yuna doesn’t do the things Jerry did.
“Look what my friends got me for my birthday”, Yuna says and shows a ‘Kuromi’ plush charm hanging on her bag.
“That’s cute”, Jerry agrees.
Yuna’s friends are the type of friends a teenage girl should have. They gossip, go out for fun, have sleepovers, late night talks. But Jerry knows that Yuna’s friends are scared of her. Ever since Jerry got kicked out of school, people have been suspecting her of things she has done. But no one has evidence. Yuna knows about the theft and the assaults, but not of the others. Jerry has made sure that no one knows that she has joined a gang. If Yuna knew, she could get hurt. That can’t happen. Yuna does everything right in life, she isn’t supposed to be involved in these things. The gang doesn’t know about Yuna either. That’s for the best.
Seoul’s streets are empty, apart from a few people walking their dogs or out on walks. They walk to a nearby food market and buy one thing from every food stand before walking to the nearest river and have a picnic.
“We should have gotten water”, Yuna says.
“Go put your head into the river”, Jerry chuckles.
“I washed my hair this morning.”
“Then thirst to death.”
“Can’t you go buy water? Please?”
Jerry sighs and stands up.
“Fine”, she groans. “Wait here. Don’t eat everything when I’m back.”
Yuna laughs. Jerry grabs her phone and leaves. She walks to the nearest convenience store and gets two bottles of water and two ice creams. The lady behind the counter smiles at her and wishes her a good night. Jerry wishes her back.
A cold wind brushes past her as she walks back out into the night air. For a moment, it feels like someone is watching her. Jerry looks around, but there’s no one to be seen. She frowns and hurries back to the river. Yuna has eaten all of the sausages.
“I told you not to eat all of it!” Jerry says. “If you wanted more you should have bought them yourself. And here I got you ice cream, you ungrateful brat.”
“No, please give it to me!” Yuna laughs and reaches for the ice cream. “I'm sorry, sister, please! You can take all the remaining fish cakes, please!”
Jerry pretends to think for a moment.
“Okay”, she says nonchalantly. “I guess that works. Greedy bitch.”
She gives Yuna the ice cream. Yuna laughs and Jerry can't help but smile.
“Do you think life is pre-planned for you?” Yuna asks after a while. “As in, your fate is already decided, it doesn't matter what path you'll take, you'll eventually end up where you should be?’
“I don't know”, Jerry replies and licks her ice cream. “Wouldn't that be kind of sad, though?”
“Why?”
“If your life is already decided for you. You can't change it. What if you don't like the decided fate?”
“But what if the decided fate is the most perfect for you?”
“What would mine be, then?”
Yuna studies her. “I don't know, but I know that it isn't robbing people. I think you'd be a good psychologist.”
Jerry lifts her eyebrows. “Me? Why?”
“You're good at noticing emotions, and feeling them. You know when I'm upset without me even saying anything.”
“That's because I know you … and you're like an open book, wearing your heart on your sleeve.”
“Maybe, but you know how to make me feel better.”
“I don't think I'd be a good psychologist, unfortunately. I'd be a good mechanic, though. I'd be like a doctor but for machines. What about you? What do you think your decided fate is?”
Yuna sighs and looks out over the river. “I don't know”, she says in defeat. “I wish I knew. I want to get good on the CSAT when i have to do that, get into a good university and get a good job … but i don't know what I want to do.”
“You're sixteen, Yuna, you have time to figure it out.”
“You too. You're eighteen. You can choose something better.”
Yuna’s eyes turn to her, full of sorrow. Jerry’s heart aches. She puts her arm around Yuna’s shoulders and leans her head against hers.
“I'll figure it out”, she sighs. “Don't worry about me.”
“But I do. All the time. I love you.”
“I love you too, but you don't have to. I will figure it out. I will.”
Jerry sobs. Her body is breaking into pieces, can feel the flesh rip itself apart.
Please wake up, Y/N. Please. I can't do this.
She should have done more to protect you. She should have learned from her mistakes. She opens her left hand. A small Kuromi plush charm rests in the palm of her hand. The other hand holds onto yours tightly. The little plush stares at her with cute aggression. She wants to bury her sharp nails into its face, claw away the mocking expression.
You couldn't leave me without a little bully, could you? When you're not here to tease me, this is.
Jerry looks up at your face and feels her body goes cold once again. You look so small, so breakable. She's afraid of squeezing your hand too tightly, worried that she'll snap it in half.
“This is my older sister Yubin.”
Jerry scans the boy up and down. He dresses well, has his hair neatly prince and styled and bows deeply. A real dream for a mother in law.
“Nice to meet you”, he says.
Yuna pulls Jerry to the side.
“Please, can I go with him?” she whispers.
Jerry glances towards him. He twiddles with his fingers
“Okay”, Jerry gives in. “I’ll come get you at eight.”
“You don’t have to.”
“I want to make sure you get home safely.”
She watches her sister leave the apartment with her arms crossed over her chest.
“He seemed like a nice boy”, her mom says behind her.
“Yeah, let’s hope that, for his sake”, Jerry mutters and walks into her room, closing the door behind her.
She keeps herself occupied by watching a cheesy drama in bed while eating snacks. Every now and then she glances at the clock on her phone, waiting for it to be the right time.
After four episodes—and not a single kiss yet—it's finally time for her to get moving. Jerry gets out of bed and grabs her jacket. She gives her mom and dad a quick ‘goodbye’ before exiting the apartment. The evening air is crisp, the music blasting in her earpods. Her ears are always surprised by the sound, either heavy rap with skillful execution or upbeat bubblegum pop.
She walks through lit up streets full of students taking advantage of the fact that there is no school tomorrow. Fridays being out the wildest in even the calmest of teenagers. Jerry should know.
Suddenly, the feeling of being watched enters her body again. She doesn’t stop to look around, doesn’t want to give any potential stalkers the knowledge that she’s aware. Jerry shakes it off, she always feels watched. She’s paranoid.
She sees Yuna and the boy stand outside the gates of the amusement park. Jerry walks up to them, hands in her pockets. Yuna smiles and waves goodbye to the boy.
“I had so much fun!” she tells her as they walk.
“I can tell”, Jerry says, trying to sound unbothered but the way her lip curls upwards exposes her. “So, how much money did you waste?”
“None, actually. He paid for everything.”
Jerry raises her eyebrows in surprise.
“Oh?” She can't hide her surprise. “He did?” But quickly composes herself. “As he should.”
“I feel bad though, he spent so much money trying to win me a stuffed animal at those machines, you know? The ones with a claw? But I think they're rigged.”
“Of course they are.”
Yuna yawns and leans against her older sister. Jerry chuckles and wraps her arm around her shoulders.
“What?” she questions. “Are you tired now?”
“Yes”, she replies. “Can you carry me?”
“Fuck no, you can walk by yourself.”
“Please?”
Yuna clings onto her and stops walking. Jerry groans and lifts her up on her back, piggyback carrying her. Yuna hugs her neck.
“I think I like that boy”, she mumbles with a smile.
“If he ever hurts you I'm breaking his neck, you know that, right?” Jerry says. “No one hurts my sister.”
Yuna hugged her neck tighter. “No one gets to hurt my sister either.”
Her heart breaks. Jerry has moved away from the bed and sat down beside the window, looking out over the city. The sky is dark, lights twinkling everywhere, like stars.
There's a knock on the door. Jerry looks over, eyes swollen from all crying. Her boss walks in with a bodyguard behind him. In his hands is a colorful flower bouquet, surrounded by soft, pinkish gift paper. He glances at you before turning his eyes to Jerry.
“I came as soon as I heard”, he says and places the flowers on the chair by the bed. “How are they?”
“I don't know”, Jerry says quietly, voice not reaching more than a broken whisper. "Nobody knows.”
Her boss takes a deep breath. He's much more careful than Jerry has ever seen him.
“If there's anything I can do, don't hesitate to let me know, ‘kay?” he says.
“Kill that coward”, she says coldly. “No, don't. Save him for me.”
“I will.”
Jerry makes the mistake of turning her eyes towards you. Your poor soul. Her boss walks over to her and, to her surprise, puts his arms around her. He has never hugged her. In the four years she's known him, he has never hugged her. She has to control herself to not break out into childish sobs again.
“I really love them”, slips out of her before she can stop herself. “Oh, fuck, what do i do?”
“You don't do anything”, her boss says. “You'll stay here and watch over them and I'll do the rest.”
He leaves shortly after, wanting Jerry to have time to herself. She can't cry in front of him, and crying is exactly what she needs.
She walks to the bed and picks up the flowers. There's a little card attached to the gift paper. Jerry opens it.
“Get well soon, Y/N, the entire organization is sending its wishes for you to heal quickly and come back to Jerry — M.”
Jerry smiles slightly. She places the bouquet in her water bottle.
A small noise is heard from the bed and she turns to see you slowly, but surely, open your eyes. Jerry feels her heart stop. She throws herself forward, getting closer to the bed.
“Y/N, babe, I'm here”, she breathes out. “Babe.”
Your eyes seem to not be able to register anything in the bright light, but as they move to see where the sound is coming from, they pupils seem to grow. They fill with tears. Jerry turns your cheek with a trembling hand and wipes it.
“It's okay, baby”, she whispers. “It's okay.”
“Jerry …”, you croak out.
She nods. Tears filled her eyes. She squeezes your hand tighter.
“My pretty baby”, she sniffles and wipes your tears.
“It feels weird.”
“You have machines connected to you, that's why it feels weird. But they're there to help you.”
“How am I alive?”
“I don't know … it's a miracle.”
She must have someone on her side, a guardian angel … or someone that has seen it all before and couldn’t let it happen again. Jerry looks down at the little Kuromi plush in her hand, heart sinking.
“I never thought that i would be shot”, you admit.
“It’s my fault”, Jerry says. “I should never have let it happen. I’m an idiot … but fuck, am I happy you are alive. I don’t know what I would have done if you hadn’t woken up.”
You look around the room, eyes stopping at the flowers.
“Did you get those?” you ask.
“No, my boss did”, she replies and takes out the card. “He even wrote a little message for you.”
She reads it out loud to you and breathes out in relief at your small smile.
“I must be the first person to get that kind of message”, you joke weakly.
“You are”, Jerry says and takes a risk at a joke. “I hope that you’re grateful, because you won’t get another one unless you die.”
“I’m not planning on it.”
Jerry smiles and caresses your cheek. “That’s my baby. You’re not dying for a long while, and I’m going to make sure of it.”
You notice the plush in her other hand.
“What’s that?” you ask.
Your weak hand reaches for hers, trying to get a better look at the Kuromi figurine. Jerry feels her heart stop, her body turn to ice. You knew that she had a sister before and that something happened, but not what happened, or where she is now. Too stunned to react, you’re able to take the little plush out of her hands. You hold it carefully, turning it around to get a good look at it.
“It fits you”, you say quietly, smiling slightly.
“It wasn’t mine from the start”, slips out of her, breathlessly and unfamiliar to her. “It’s not actually mine.”
“Did you steal it from someone?”
If only.
“No”, she says slowly. “I didn’t. It was my sister’s.”
You pull your eyes away from the charm and look at her. She has gone pale by now and stares empty in front of her. The stare reminds you of soldiers who’s seen too much and you apologize for bringing it up.
“You don’t have to apologize”, Jerry mumbles and takes the little plush carefully. “I guess that you should know the story. If anyone should know, it should be you.”
“What was her name?”
Jerry smiles sadly. “Yuna.”
“Yuna.”
Hearing you say it breaks her heart all over again, makes it bleed into her throat. She wishes that you could have met her, and that Yuna got to met you.
See? Jerry would have teased her. You didn’t think I would get a good partner, what do you say now?
“You would have loved her”, Jerry says quietly, still wearing the painful smile. “And she would have loved you—adored you. She loved everything and everyone. A soul too good for this world. She never broke any rules, never did anything stupid … and when she did one time, I scolded her so bad that she never did it again.”
Jerry can see the hesitation in your eyes before you ask the question.
“What happened to her?”
Jerry’s head pounds in pain. Blood runs down her chin, from the corner of her mouth. She wipes it with her sleeve. She really should stop getting into fights, it never ends well. Even if she wins them, she’s left with aching limbs for days to come. But the pride from a win makes her do it again, and again, and again. She usually gangs up with a few people from her gang, and go at it until they can’t anymore. But today was different, she thinks as she makes her way home, through empty streets. They smiled too much today, provoked her more than usual. When she was ready to leave, they pulled her back in with their taunting words, knowing exactly where to press to rile her up again. As if they didn’t want her to leave. It was weird, different than usual.
Jerry drags her feet over the pavement. She will have to take a shower to remove the blood—whether it’s hers or not doesn’t matter.
The door to the apartment complex isn’t fully closed. A small drop of blood sits on the ground. Is she bloody enough to drip? She opens the door and walks into the building, pulling herself up the stairs to the apartment. This door isn’t closed either. Jerry frowns and opens the door, walking into the hallway. She can tell, right away, that something is different. There’s a new smell in the air, one she is oddly familiar with.
The smell of blood.
Her heart stops, nerves crackling with panic before she runs forward, into the livingroom.
“Mom?” she shouts. “Dad? Yuna?”
Blood covers the floor, the walls and furniture. Jerry spins around, desperately trying to find where it leads. It seems to have been smudged in all directions. She opens the door to the bathroom. Empty. Her parents room. Empty. Kitchen is empty. Her hand hovers shakingly over Yuna’s bedroom door. Please don’t, Jerry thinks as sweat runs down her back, please, please. She opens the door. The room is covered in blood. Her parents are lying across the room, blood smudges across the floor exposing that they’ve been dragged here. Their throats are slit. Jerry stumbles backwards, hand reaching for something—anything—to grab onto. Her heart seems to be everywhere in her body, beating irregularly. An ice cold, burning nausea covers her fully, like water.
“Mom—”, she chokes out, sinking down on the floor. She can’t form a sentence, let alone an understandable one. “Dad … oh, my God. Oh, my God, oh shit.”
Her vision is blurred by tears.
A thought enters her head, and suddenly she’s on high alert again.
Yuna … where’s Yuna?
On shaking legs, she clumsily pulls herself up and stumbles out into the corridor again. All other rooms are empty, where is Yuna? Where the fuck is Yuna?
There’s only one room left. Jerry’s. She drags herself over to her closed door, feeling like she’s going to vomit any second. After a long while of waiting, she finally opens the door, revealing her own room. Jerry screams.
Yuna is lying in Jerry’s bed. Her school uniform is covered in blood, her black hair spread out over her face. One arm lies over her stomach, the other hanging over the side of the bed. Jerry has to grab onto her desk. Suddenly she doesn’t feel like she’s there. She can’t feel her legs hold her up.
Without noticing it, her body has moved her forward. She’s standing by her bed. Theres a folded note on Yuna’s chest. Jerry’s hands tremble as she opens it.
“See this as a warning, bitch, next time it will be you.”
She throws the note across the room. Her heart hammers in her chest, but this time in anger. Those disgusting creatures. She can’t find words to describe them. They’re subhuman, but not even that is enough.
She tears down everything on her desk, including her laptop and lamp amd when there’s nothing left for her to destroy, she hits herself, clawing and pulling at anything she can get her hands on. As long as it hurts. It’s her fault. She put her family in danger. Her choices led to this. She killed them.
When her body loses power, she sinks down on the floor, shaking and crying. Jerry covers her face in her hands to avoid looking at her little sisters lifeless body. She can’t remember the last time she cried like this. It exits her body in a whine-like howl, her pain needing to come out.
But even those end. All feelings end at some point, leaving her in a numb, broken shell. She looks towards her bed. The arm that’s hanging of the side of the bed seems to hold something. Jerry crawls over and opens Yuna’s hand slightly. Her skin is still somewhat warm under her touch. In her hand lies the Kuromi charm plush, still somewhat clean. Jerry takes it out of Yuna’s hand and holds it in hers. She hugs it, breaking out into new sobs.
Realizing that she can’t stay here—the ones that have done this will most likely return, or the cops will arrest her for the deed—Jerry stands up. She grabs one of her black backpacks and throws in whatever she thinks that she can need before leaving the apartment for the last time.
Your eyes are filled with tears, and so are hers. You reach forward to wipe hers and she squeezes her eyes shut. She can’t look at you.
“I’m so sorry”, you say.
“I can’t lose you too”, she hisses. “I fucking can’t lose you too.”
She can feel you hug her and she’s quick to remove your arms.
“You shouldn’t move”, she says with a panicked voice. “You’re hurt. Just let the medicine and what fuck-not do it’s work, please. Just do as I say.”
You lay down again. Jerry sighs out heavily and wipes her tears harshly.
“That’s why I joined this organization”, she says angrily. “I realized how vulnerable I was by myself. I needed people that could protect me and have my back … and I’m so fucking sorry I pulled you into it, too. I should have learned my lesson with my family, but I didn’t. I was so fucking selfish doing it again, just because I fell in love. And i could have lost you too. Ic ould have repeated my fucking mistake.”
“But you didn’t”, you say. “I’m here.”
Jerry sighs and holds out the little plush.
“I, somehow, feel like she did this”, she says flatly. “As if she couldn’t watch me go through it again, so she saved you. Yuna died holding this charm. Somehow thinking that it would protect her … or she just didn’t want to die alone.”
Jerry has never said these thoughts out loud before. And when she does it, she doesn’t dare to look at you, scared to see a judging look in your eyes. But you don’t, you look at her with such empathy, such sadness for her.
“I can’t bring myself to get rid of it”, she says and sighs. “Because this was so important to Yuna. I don’t know why.”
“Did you ever get the ones that did it?” you ask carefully.
“No … never. But I will find them one day, and I will make them pay. And the one that did this to you is going to get what he deserve too. I will never let anything hurt you again. I will do whatever it takes, but so help me, if anything ever happens to you again.”
“I think that if she saw you now, she would be proud of you”, you say. “Maybe not for what you do, but for how loving you are.”
Jerry scoffs, but you see that your words hit her hard.
“You are”, you insist. “Not everyone sees it, but you are. Even if you don’t believe it yourself.”
“Oh yeah?” she scoffs. “How ‘loving’ can I be after everything I’ve done to you?”
You swallow, thinking of everything Jerry has put you through but shake it off. Not the right timing.
“You sat here with me all this time”, you say. “You’ve cried for me. Worried for me.”
“Well, yeah, I’m not a monster.”
“You aren’t. You are human. And that’s why it wasn’t your fault, for anything that happened. You didn’t do anything.”
Jerry sniffles and looks down at the plush, and then at you.
“Thank you, Y/N”, she says, giving you a small, sad smile. “Thank you.”
After you’ve fallen asleep that night, she places the little Kuromi plush on the pillow, by your head and smiles sadly. She falls asleep with her head on the free space on the bed beside your legs, eternally grateful that you came back to her, and with a new peace in her body. As if a heavy weight has lifted off her shoulders.

i don’t know why i can’t take my eyes off of you
for @steddielovemonth day one using You and Me by Lifehouse
rated t | 1186 words | no cw | tags: future fic, second chances, mutual pining, idiots in love, songwriter Eddie, teacher Steve
🛒🛒🛒🛒🛒🛒🛒🛒
Steve’s walking down the frozen section of Melvald’s when time stops.
Not literally. The watch on his wrist is still ticking. The clock on the wall at the front of the store is still moving. People around him are still grabbing their groceries.
But Eddie Munson is standing in front of the ice cream section like he belongs there.
Eddie left Hawkins five years ago.
He kissed Steve on the lips, then the forehead, and left.
Steve’s thought about it, about him, every day since.
Eddie hasn’t noticed him yet. Maybe Steve should leave before he does. Last he’d heard, Eddie was working at a recording studio as a songwriter, halfway making his dreams come true.
He’s happy, or at least that’s what all the kids have said when he’s brought up. They don’t know about the kiss, at least Steve doesn’t think they do. He’s never told them.
It’s busy enough in the store that Steve’s pretty sure he can sneak away before Eddie sees him. He starts to back away, but immediately bumps into an old woman.
“I’m so sorry, are you okay?” He’s asking, and she’s brushing him off and saying she’s fine. He feels terrible.
“Steve?” Eddie’s voice is like music, always has been a melody made specifically for Steve.
“Eddie,” Steve says as the old woman walks away. “Hey.”
Steve forgets he’s in public as the world around him fades and all he sees, smells, wants, is Eddie.
“I didn’t know you were still in Hawkins,” Eddie says quietly, leaning forward on his toes. He’s got a new battle vest, though it looks well-worn. Steve wonders if he knows that his old vest is hanging in his closet, if he knows that Steve pulls it out every once in a while so he can put it on and feel a little less alone.
“Yeah. Never left.” It sounds worse than it is. Steve always said he’d leave when all the kids left, but once they did, he didn’t know where to go. It’s not like he could follow them around, couch-surfing across the country a month or two at a time, burdening them with his self-imposed loneliness.
“You look good,” Eddie says, changing the subject.
Leaving Hawkins was a touchy subject for Steve the last time he’d seen Eddie. It still is. Eddie must sense that.
“So do you,” Steve breathes out. He does. He looks healthy and happy, something Hawkins had completely drained from him before. “What are you doing back?”
“Just visiting Wayne. Usually he comes to see me, but he insisted he didn’t wanna deal with the ‘big city’ this time. And I’m the best nephew, so I said ‘sure, old man, I’ll go back to the town that hates my guts!’ And here I am trying to find my favorite ice cream at the store. They don’t have it,” Eddie shrugs. He rambles when he’s nervous, still. “He hasn’t mentioned seeing you around or anything, though.”
“Yeah, I guess we don’t cross paths much,” Steve laughs awkwardly. He can’t remember the last time he saw Wayne. Must’ve been around Christmas, when Steve was helping Joyce with her decorations while Hopper worked overtime and Wayne stopped by to drop off some lights. “How’s he doing?”
“He’s good. Stubborn as hell. Won’t retire even though he could,” Eddie shakes his head. “Think he’s scared of being bored.”
“Or lonely.”
The words escape Steve before he can hold them back.
Eddie’s face softens, but it’s not full of pity. Everyone always gives Steve this look, like they know he’s putting on a brave face. Not Eddie.
“Wayne’s always been content alone. He’s got friends, and he calls me when he has something new to argue about,” Eddie leans in closer. “I don’t really worry about Wayne. Other people, sure.”
“Like who?” Steve swallows.
“You settle down yet?” Eddie asks in response.
Steve’s so shocked by the question, he doesn’t answer.
“I figured the kids were just being nice by not telling me if you did, but you’re not wearing a ring and you’re grocery shopping alone, so…” Eddie rambles again. Steve feels his heart flutter in his chest.
“No.”
“No?”
“No.”
“Are you dating someone?”
Steve shakes his head. “Haven’t really found anyone interesting.”
“Interesting? Since when does Steve Harrington want someone interesting?”
Since the most interesting person he knows kissed him and then left. Since everyone else is boring in comparison to you. Since he realized he was dumb to let you go.
“I guess what I thought I wanted is different now. Has been for a while,” Steve shrugs.
It’s strange how easily Steve becomes wrapped up in Eddie’s orbit, how quickly everything else didn’t matter the moment Eddie started talking to him. It’s just the two of them.
“Excuse me,” a man says to their left. Steve jumps back and apologizes for blocking where he needed to be. Eddie’s eyes never leave Steve.
When the man walks away, Steve clears his throat.
“How long are you in town?”
“How long will it take me to convince you to come back with me?”
Steve chokes on his next breath. “What? Come back with you? To…”
“New York or Chicago. I’m getting a promotion and they’ll let me pick where I wanna go. I’ve been leaning towards Chicago because more of the music I enjoy is making a mark there,” Eddie explains. “And there’s plenty of options for you there, too. Dustin said you just finished your teaching degree.”
“Dustin talks about me?”
“Only when unprovoked,” Eddie grins. “Have you been waiting for me?”
It’s blunt, but Eddie always has been. Steve can hide a lot of emotions from people; It’s been a survival tactic for most of his life.
He’s never been able to hide shit from Eddie.
“Not on purpose.”
Eddie looks at his basket of items. He was really only here for a few things, but he saw his favorite cookies were on sale and he couldn’t resist stocking up. He looks between the basket and Eddie’s eyes.
“You wanna come to mine for dinner?”
“Is dinner cookies?” Eddie laughs, poking at the package closest to the top.
“That’s dessert,” Steve laughs, too. He finds it easy. He never thought it could be this easy after the time that’s passed, the distance they had between them.
“First dessert.”
“What are we, hobbits?” Steve asks.
Eddie’s jaw drops open. “Steve, please. Not in public.”
“What?”
“I didn’t know you read it!” Eddie groans, but he’s smiling, so Steve’s not actually worried.
“I’ve read a lot of things! I’ve been waiting for you, remember?”
An announcement starts in the store— someone’s car is blocking a delivery truck entrance— and they both take a step away from each other. They were much closer than they should be in the grocery store.
This is still Hawkins, and people already don’t like Eddie. Looking cozier than two dudes normally would might be dangerous for both of them.
“So. Dinner?” Steve asks again. It’s easier to remember there are other people around with some distance between them.
“Sure. Dinner.”
Time starts again.

[“Oftentimes when we think about preparing for penetrative sex, we think about the willingness and readiness of the penetrator: a penis becoming a boner, a dildo being lubed up. And yes, sadly, a phallus can usually make its way inside a canal whether the canal is ready or not. But wet and swollen pussies and rectums and throats are, simply put, better for fucking.
That’s one of the many advantages of fisting for people who enjoy being penetrated: unlike a cylindrical phallus, it requires patience and finesse to get the considerably bumpier shape of a hand inside. It’s easier for most penises to slip into most vaginas or rectums, but “easy” doesn’t necessarily translate to “more pleasurable” for anyone involved. Fisting emphasizes what the fistee wants and needs in order to relax and open, which changes the act of penetration from “let’s get this done” to “let’s take our time.” It’s not that it always requires hours of tantric foreplay: I’ve seen people swallow hands in a matter of minutes. But fisting tops and bottoms do need to be attuned to each other more than in any other kind of intercourse.
Adamczak mentions fisting several times in her piece (“a closed hand around a dildo, of lips around a foot, of a vagina stretched over a fist”). To my mind, getting fisted is the ultimate act of circlusion, even if the term itself refers to the penetrating body part. Fisting necessitates communication, patience, finesse, embodied listening, and active breathwork. This may go some way toward explaining why fisters tend to enter a meditative, trance-like state. Fisting requires intentional engagement from the bottom, because in order to take a fist you really have to breathe deeply, to communicate about slowing down or wanting more, to reach for the poppers, to ask for the lube. And these are all things bottoms could be doing all the time, but fisting takes us out of our assumptions that the bottom is there to satisfy the top’s lust, to simply take it. A fistee must be a size queen, someone who loves to be filled up with something massive. Opening to a fist is a trust fall for everyone involved. When your hand is deep inside someone, you can feel their heart beating back against you. Sometimes when I’m up to my wrist in an aroused, engorged bottom, watching and feeling and listening to and smelling a partner so aroused they’re thrashing and bearing down and grasping back and contracting over and over, I think: Why would you fuck a hole that isn’t turned on? Sure, I take pride in turning people on and driving them insane with ecstasy, but fucking an engorged hole is just more fun, like bouncing on a trampoline or being tossed into the air by a taut parachute, with all the verve that inspires.
It’s not just penises that enjoy being circluded either. Clit heads respond to pressing and smashing and mashing, especially once they’ve been teased into arousal. The suction of a mouth or pump toy vacuum sealed around the vulva can create the feeling that your junk is swollen enough to put inside of something or someone. “What matters is not what parts a body possesses, but rather, which parts are put into action,” concludes Adamczak, and this is a queer manifesto bigger than circlusion, bigger even than fisting. When we reinvent and remap our anatomy for the purpose of pleasure, we leave behind inherited anxiety and shame around what our bodies are capable of, opening wide to engulf the future.”]

I think about this a lot.
I wish I saw more exploration into the fact that Wei Wuxian literally came back into someone else’s body…. in a different novel that could be a form of body horror. I’m not blaming people for forgetting or not really considering it because the novel wasn’t interested in exploring it either. It’s sort of fact of the genre of transmigration that mc tends to get over the dying and being back pretty easily because there are bigger things at stake. Not to mention that they go out of their way to establish that nothing really changed beyond him being shorter…. I have many thoughts on that. Anyway it’s an easy plot point to ignore.
But in Wei Wuxian’s case it’s so fucked up that this guy died to bring him back. That he died brutally and now he’s back in thick of the same political mess. And the circumstances of Mo’s death; do you think he feels guilty? How does he feel about any of it? Like sure he’s less powerful but he’s also shorter, less physically fit, his face is different. Does he ever feel disconnected from this body that lived a life that wasn’t his for 20 years?
How does Lan Wangji feel about this? I mean obviously he’s not shallow enough to only care about appearances but it would be strange to have to adjust to such a radical change. Not to mention it is implied that he was physically attracted to Wei Wuxian before and no one else has caught his attention like that, so I imagine it must’ve been weird to fall for someone else’s face even if it was still Wei Wuxian.
And then Jiang Cheng. His sole remaining family, who’s known him the longest, watched him grow up, who knew Wei Wuxian the best in his first life. And now he’s back but now he’s in this frail man’s body and there’s no trace of their shared history on his body. (Op put it beautifully, so I don’t really need to elaborate here.)
Do you ever think about how fucked up it would be if your brother died and came back but now he has someone else's face and all the stupid scars from climbing trees and stuff are gone and he used to be just taller than you but now he's like two inches shorter than you and he still talks the same way but in someone else's voice

So Dani got herself into trouble. Again.
First it was the Italian mafia, then that human trafficking rink, but the last straw wasn’t the Meta human kidnappers, no, it was the assassin cult trying to convert her to assassiness.
She hates to say it, but the US was the safest place she could be at the moment.
The GIW are idiots, so the only person she would have to worry about was Vlad. And that meant she had to go somewhere when Blad would never dream of entering.
She distinctly remembers Vlad complaining about a man named ‘Wayne’ and a city named ‘Gotham’, calling it a ‘playground for psychopaths’.
So, Gotham it is.
The problem is no one in Gotham would hire a 12 year old with papers, a guardian, or even an identity. And there was no way she would go to Vlad for help.
One day she over hears a group of people talking about they new un and comping crime boss, Red Hood. About how he pays well and offers protection for kids. Hell, Dani didn’t even mind that he decapitated people as a hobby!
So she did what any desperate kid would do. She created a resume and walked into Red Hoods office, dropping it in the desk.
He hired her a messenger. Claimed phones were too unreliable and he witnessed first hand how she could sneak around.
She adopted the name cryptid and even wore a mask like Hoods to conceal her identity.
Jason is very confused at to why he suddenly wants to protect a random girl looking for a job. Something inside him is screaming to PROTECT PROTECT PROTECT
Shenanigans that follow
-Dani taking a nap on the couch in Jason’s office when Nightwing walked in hoping to try and make a truce. He leaves thinking that he has a niece.
-all of Hoods men thinking that Dani is his kid, which is why he hired her. This leads to a lot of Hoods enemies and Gotham’s rouges trying to kidnap her
-likewise, she gets mistaken as a Wayne kid
-Dani underestimated Vlad and he did have the balls to show up in Hithka Dan he showed up in Hoods office asking for hood. Jason’s, seeing how scared Dani was, called in a few favors to make sure he wouldn’t come back
-the phantom trio graduates high school. Sam and Danny head to Coast City as a couple while Tucker goes to Gotham bc he got hired by WE the moment he received his diploma.
-Tucker runs into Dani the first night he in Gotham and is like ‘ok come live with me’ and Dani’s like ‘bet I’m not homeless anymore’
-Tucker finds out about Dani’s job and demands a meeting with Red Hood to discuss why he let a 12 yo work for him
-if you want Tucker x Jason, then during the entire meeting Hood kept flirting with him, unfortunately, a week later, Tucker became smitten with a man named Jason
-Jason and Tucker met at a bookstore. Jason was buying a book and Tucker was getting something for Dani’s education. They hit it off immediately.
-Hood ‘hires’ Tucker as a hacker for his gang, and Tucker accepts because then he could keep an eye on Dani
-Dani goes to GA and makes friends with Damian Wayne, who’s a bit older than her. Damian is now wanting a younger sister and decides that Dani would be perfect

You dont need to answer but I just wanted to tell you I adore Paradox being like "I hate all of them except" and then listing everyone except like 2 guys, honey you don't hate *all* of them you expressly don't hate *most of them*
Extremely charming characterization i adore it
[Creator Special number 2!]
So glad someone noticed that, I was originally going to have him name EVERYONE except Boost but then I was like “nah, Mania is just too annoying for Paradox to tolerate him”
And thanks! I’m trying to be… consistent with my characterization of each of them and stay in line with canon but like… URGH sometimes I want to deviate so bad just to indulge but I resist!
Needless to say tho, prism is probably going to get more affectionate later on. Rewatched Sonic Prime again and bro is a cutie patootie!
Headcanons… headcanons… hmm
Well, starting with the obvious, Paradox goes to therapy as I’ve mentioned which I think is hilarious. He and Lance are the only Shadows who really have their shit together which is why I think Sonadow works well for them? (we stan healthy relationships guys)
I do head canon that Eight doesn’t like being touched really at all anymore. After the metal virus, he grew so used to the fact that he couldn’t touch anyone that it sorta just stuck. He does it to save people, but not anything more. :(
And while I’m a sucker for the Trans Sonic HC I decided not to implement it in this particular AU!
I really want to include Captain Sonic and Shadow, but I haven’t played nor watched a serious play through of the game. (I’ve only really listened to a bit of the Snapcube dub..)
can someone tell me if Shadow is a Barista or a Mechanic in that game btw?? I google it, nothing pops up. I could’ve sworn there was something about a mechanic.
Uhh I LOVE Sonic Frontiers, fire game. If I include that one, it’ll ALSO be Sonamy since I’m pretty sure that game takes place before SA2 in canon?
I’m trying to keep the Sonics and Shadows balanced but I’d love to add Generations Shadow and Sonic. Just thinking of names already I get “Doom” for Shadow and “Emerald” for Sonic. (Referencing the fake emerald from their interaction in the shadow story)
Unfortunately I haven’t seen the Archie comics or Sonic Underground so I wouldn’t even know where to begin.
Someone also asked about if I’d ever include different AU’s: maybe if those AU creators gave me permission I’d be down to do a collab for a few asks or something!
Nope!
I dunno I just..! … how do I do? I’m fast. And you’re slow. That’s how I did it. /ref
Ahahah just kidding! But I am very fast. A few years ago I convinced myself I was a “slow drawer” because I was in a discord server with someone I looked up to (and holy cheese they could draw out fully articulate sketches in like 30 seconds!)
So I got insecure and taught myself to draw really fast. So now I just.. zoom! This does have a terrible draw back where I will very frequently forget smaller details.
Like if you look at half the posts, Shadow is missing his eyeliner and other markings frequently.
THIS IS JUST HILARIOUS TO ME YOU GUYS. PLEASE—
I’ve gotten SO many asks in my box about using Maria to calm the Shadows down or trying to give Shadows “Maria plushies”
Imagine you’re having a bad day and you get a plushie of your dead sibling thrown at you??? LMFAOOOO
I CANT I CANT I CANT PUT THEM THROUGH THAT 💔 Also I see every single ask.
“Do you all like Latinas” and “sonic which shadow is the hottest/shadow which sonic is the hottest” have all been engraved in my brain
Was joking with a friend on how that second question would come out LMFAOO

Min Ho’s unexpected plus-one
Min Ho Moon x girlfriend!reader
Summary: Min Ho surprises his friends with a girlfriend, and they can’t believe she’s real.
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
If my heart beats any faster, I might actually pass out.
I smooth down my sweater for the hundredth time as Min Ho leads me toward the table where his friends—Dae, Q, and Kitty—are sitting. They’re deep in conversation, laughing at something I can’t hear, but the moment Min Ho clears his throat, all three heads turn in our direction.
“Guys,” Min Ho says, his voice casual but confident. “This is my girlfriend.”
Three pairs of eyes widen simultaneously.
“Girlfriend?!” Kitty is the first to react, nearly choking on her drink. She looks between us with the kind of shock I imagine she’d reserve for a major K-drama plot twist. “Did I miss something? Since when do you date?”
Min Ho sighs dramatically, placing a protective arm around my waist. “You all act like I was destined to be alone forever.”
Dae, who has been quiet up until now, finally blinks out of his stunned state. “I mean… kinda?” He looks at me with an apologetic smile. “Not because there’s anything wrong with you! Just, you know, because Min Ho’s… Min Ho.”
I laugh, and Min Ho groans. “Wow. Amazing. So much faith in me.”
Q leans forward, resting his chin on his hand as he studies me. “Okay, but seriously. We need details. How did this happen?”
“Yeah, and how are you putting up with him?” Kitty chimes in, narrowing her eyes at Min Ho like she’s waiting for me to expose all his flaws.
Min Ho scoffs, pressing a hand to his chest. “You know, a normal reaction would be ‘Congratulations, Min Ho! We’re happy for you, Min Ho!’”
Dae shrugs. “We’re still processing.”
I decide to take pity on him. “Honestly, he just kind of grew on me.” I glance up at him with a teasing smile. “Like an expensive, annoyingly charming fungus.”
Kitty gasps in delight. “Oh, I love her.”
Q grins. “Yeah, she’s definitely keeping him humble.”
Dae finally smiles. “Okay, okay, I approve.” He looks at Min Ho. “But if you mess this up, you know we’re all taking her side, right?”
Min Ho sighs. “Obviously.”
I can’t help but laugh as Kitty gestures excitedly for me to sit next to her, already launching into a million questions. Min Ho might have been nervous about this introduction, but honestly? I think I just found my new favorite people.
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
As the night goes on, I settle into the group’s dynamic faster than I expected. Kitty is relentless with her questions, grilling me on everything from my favorite K-drama to my most embarrassing childhood story. Q is effortlessly charming, throwing in sarcastic quips that make Min Ho roll his eyes every five minutes. Dae, despite being the most reserved, gives me reassuring smiles that make it clear he’s warming up to me.
Min Ho stays close the whole time, his arm slung casually across the back of my chair, his fingers occasionally brushing against my shoulder. It’s subtle, but I can tell he’s still a little nervous, like he needs to make sure I’m okay. It’s sweet, really.
At one point, Kitty leans over and whispers, “You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him like this.”
“Like what?” I whisper back.
She glances at Min Ho, who’s currently bickering with Q over something ridiculous, then back at me with a knowing smile. “Soft.”
I feel my face warm, but before I can respond, Min Ho turns back to us. “What are you two conspiring about?”
Kitty just winks. “Nothing. Just girl talk.”
Min Ho narrows his eyes at her suspiciously, but before he can press further, Dae checks his phone and sighs. “I should probably head out. My dad’s expecting me home soon.”
Q stretches. “Yeah, me too. But this was fun. You’re officially part of the group now,” he says, giving me an approving nod.
Kitty grins. “Yeah, and don’t worry, we’ll make sure Min Ho treats you right.”
Min Ho scoffs. “She doesn’t need you guys for that. I’m an amazing boyfriend.”
I hum thoughtfully. “Debatable.”
Kitty bursts into laughter. “Oh yeah, I definitely like her.”
As we all say our goodbyes, Min Ho laces his fingers through mine and pulls me a little closer. “See? Told you they’d love you.”
I smile up at him. “Yeah, I think I love them too.”
He smirks. “Not more than you love me, though. Right?”
I roll my eyes, but there’s no denying the warmth spreading through my chest. “You’re lucky you’re cute.”
Min Ho grins. “I knew it.”
And just like that, I realize—being with him, being part of this? It feels exactly right.

someday my prince will come
pairing ⤜ rafe cameron x fem!reader
word count ⤜ 3.7k
summary ⤜ fluff. in which you’ll never feel alone as long as you have rafe, and he’ll never feel alone as long as he has you.
warning(s) ⤜ wedding planning stress, toxic family members
a/n ⤜ inspired by ‘alone together’ - sabrina carpenter || masterlist
Expect the worst and you won’t be disappointed. That’s what you try to tell yourself, hoping it will wish away the cynicism surrounding what is supposed to be the happiest time in your life. Transactional relationships set the norm on Figure Eight for friends and foe alike. Everyone used anyone they could get their hands on, only leaving them for dead when the conditions were no longer suitable.
It should’ve been no surprise that people would be treating your upcoming marriage to Rafe that same way. As if it’s nothing but a transaction curated to mutually benefit yourself, Rafe, and your respective families. Truthfully, your relationship was anything but.
Years together proved that passion still burns between you, in a way that most can’t begin to dream of. Every look, every kiss and every touch holds that passion somewhere deep inside. There was no denying that you two have enough of it to last a lifetime and then some when Rafe got down on bended knee and asked you to spend your life with him. You love Rafe Cameron for all the right reasons and he loves you the same.
Your families and friends around you are fools to not acknowledge that, seemingly destined to have their own ways of projecting insecurities onto the both of you. Planning your wedding was something you imagined to be a magical time, selecting colors and florals that would paint a picture reminiscent of a fairytale. Expect the worst and you won’t be disappointed.
From the moment your perfectly cut diamond ring was noticeable on your left hand, some chose to take it as a personal invitation to assert their unwarranted advice. It started with your mother, divorced and remarried now more times than you care to keep track of. Her guidance hardly resembles the special experience between mother and daughter that planning a wedding usually brings. After one of your first meetings with your wedding planner, you’d come to regret asking your mother to accompany you.
“I just don’t see why he’s walking you down the aisle instead of me.”
“You mean my father? I didn’t think you’d have such an issue with it given you chose to marry and have a child with him.”
“And I chose to divorce the asshole, too.”
“That doesn’t have anything to do with me, Mom. You both made your choices and I made mine. My father is going to be at my wedding whether you like it or not.”
“50 feet away from me at all times, I hope.” She speaks lowly, barely under her breath. You’d be burning with embarrassment right now if it weren’t for your wedding planner, ever attuned and able to spot an argument a mile away, who kindly left you and your mother to chat in private.
“Please, don’t worry about that. I’m sure he wants nothing to do with you either. The only difference is that he’s willing to tolerate you for the sake of my happiness.”
“This isn’t about happiness, Y/n. It’s about respect. Had I not raised you right, you wouldn’t be able to attract a man like Rafe in the first place. The least you could do is acknowledge your mother on your wedding day.”
“That’ll make for a beautiful toast at your next brunch with the ladies from the club. I’ll be sure to write that down.” You chide sarcastically, unable to hold back from rolling your eyes at her audaciousness. “It’s good to know that’s what you’re really excited about. Showboating to your friends that I found someone successful, not that I found someone I love.”
“Like it or not, it’s the truth. I’m not afraid to be honest with you unlike some people in your life.”
“What exactly is honest about guilt tripping me into letting you make all of my wedding decisions for me? For us! You’re lucky Rafe isn’t here or he would’ve thrown you out by now.”
“And risk our relationship just when we’re about to be in-laws? You’re ridiculous. I hope he knows the kind of dramatics he’s marrying into.”
“No kidding.”
“I’m not trying to be malicious, dear. I just want you to have your priorities straight.”
“Believe me, they are.”
“You can’t forget your family in the process, my darling. You can’t just leave me behind like I don’t exist because when this marriage is over you’ll realize that I’m not as crazy as you think. You’ll need me again one day.”
“When my marriage is over? This isn’t some fucking contract. We love each other.”
“There’s no need to get hysterical, Y/n. I told myself all the same things too. You’ll see.”
—
Your conversation with your mother left you disheartened at best, infuriated at worst. One look into Rafe’s eyes would have your worries melting away, but you can’t help the nagging feeling inside that’s telling you to say something. You know how much courage it took for him to open his heart to you in the way that he has. You know how much courage it’s taken for you to open your heart, too. You know how with each other it’s been so easy that neither of you really noticed how naturally your love has blossomed. When you fell for each other, there was nothing that could stop you.
That explains why this nagging feeling, that you assume is guilt, simply won’t go away. How can you imagine getting married to Rafe Cameron, the love of your life, and feel anything but unbridled joy. To give a big ‘fuck you’ to everyone doubting your relationship, you’d love nothing more than to proclaim your love for each other in front of a crowd. But in the many scenarios you’ve played in your head, none of them put you at ease.
There was no denying the deep trust that connects you, knowing that you can tell him whatever is on your mind. The worst thing you’ve ever done, the darkest thought you’ve ever had, he will stand by you through anything. And you would do the same for him. It’s why the idea of saying: ‘Hey, by the way, I don’t want a wedding’, is not something you can muster the courage for. Guilt begs you to tell him anyway, knowing how badly he would feel to know you’re suffering in silence like this.
Little do you know, Rafe is troubled in reconciling his own guilt. It’s not just your mother who wants to see the worst come of your relationship. Considering Rafe’s strained dynamic with his father, that should come as no surprise.
Cameron Development takes up most of Rafe’s time these days, leaving him and Ward to spend quite a lot of it together. Rafe prefers to keep their topics of discussion focused on the company. Their relationship works best that way, a transactional partnership between father and son that would benefit the Cameron legacy for generations.
But if it weren’t for Ward’s nagging, Rafe never would’ve ended up here at the Island Club having lunch with his father. He knows for a fact that it would’ve been time better spent with you, his future wife, desperate to feel the kiss of your lips or be able to exhale in your arms in the midst of a busy day.
Ward spends all of 5 minutes discussing some company stuff that could’ve easily been sent in an email drafted by his assistant before getting down to his real intentions. He always hides them behind the mask of a loving father.
“I lied about why I needed to speak with you today.”
Rafe scoffs, but always manages his expectations when it comes to Ward. “Imagine that.”
Ward chuckles, trying to play off his son’s jab as innocent sarcasm. “I wanted to talk to you about your soon-to-be marriage to Y/n.”
Rafe takes a gulp of his drink, already feeling slightly on edge and on guard at the mention of your life together. “What about it?”
“Have you two discussed a prenup?”
“Dad-” Rafe tries to interject, but to no avail. Ward’s already a step ahead of him.
“I know it’s only been a couple months into the engagement, but it’s never too early to have these conversations.”
“I don’t need to worry about having these conversations at all. And you definitely don’t need to be concerned with it either because I’m not asking her to sign a prenup. Simple as that.”
“Rafe, if there’s anything I’ve learned in my marriage to Rose-”
“Your marriage to Rose is a sham. And Y/n is nothing like her.”
“Y/n’s great.” Ward seemingly surrenders, in hopes to disarm Rafe while still getting his point across. “I’m not trying to suggest otherwise. I’m just saying that things happen in marriages and you need to be prepared. What do you think will happen to Cameron Development if she winds up with half in a divorce?”
“If we get divorced, it means that I’ve got bigger problems than potentially losing Cameron Development.” Rafe laments, finishing his drink. “Besides, she wouldn’t want it.”
“You don’t know that for sure.”
“I know her. For sure. Alright?” Rafe fires back, firm intent behind every word. “I know you have a hard time imagining what it’s like to be loved for something other than your money. And I’m sure you have a harder time imagining how she could love me without it. But you can save your fatherly advice, I’m gonna live my life with Y/n without any of your prenup bullshit.”
Rafe grabs his wallet from his pocket, throwing down several bills on the table that he doesn’t bother counting. All that’s on his mind right now is getting back home to you.
“Have a nice day, Dad.”
—
At this point in his life, Rafe has mastered the art of ignoring Ward Cameron. He’s come to accept that they’re simply a better duo in business than as father and son. The family he came from felt less like family when he fell in love with you. Now that you were about to be married, it was gonna be real. You would be each other’s family not only in spirit, but officially on paper. For the rest of your lives you would be where you always belonged; together.
Right now, Rafe can’t shake the feeling that his father is already preparing for everything to fall apart before you two have a chance to build anything more. Logically, he knows the concept of a prenup isn’t a stupid idea. But his father’s intentions for him have proven to be anything but pure. There’s always something in it for Ward.
Rafe loves you, and that means he’s ready to share his life with you, money be damned. Besides there’s nobody more deserving for him to spend it on, no matter how badly you insist that you don’t love him for the fine jewelry or the dates at expensive restaurants around the island. For him, that’s all the more reason why he commits to showing you a lifestyle that’s beyond comprehension.
He wants to tell you about the absolute bullshit his father brought him to lunch to talk about today but hesitates in mentioning it at all. In any other scenario you’d both laugh it off, but this was a special time for your relationship. It’s delicate, and deserves to be handled with care. Rafe wants nothing more than to protect you from anyone looking to tarnish it.
Rafe’s final straw strikes later that night while waiting for you to finish your skincare routine and join him in bed. His phone sounds with several text messages from Topper. His eyebrows furrow in curiosity, expression quickly turning sour as he reads the messages.
Clearly, after cutting lunch short, Ward was quick to enlist Topper Thornton into his agenda. Seeing the way he wears his heart on his sleeve, he’s an easy enough target to carry out something like this. Rafe scans the messages, catching the gist of it.
Something about ‘A prenup is just insurance, you might not need it! But you should be prepared anyway cause she could leave you at any time, bro’ and ‘Have you heard of the infidelity clause? I'm not saying she would, but you know what Sarah did to me, better be safe than sorry.’ Rafe’s frustration catches your attention when he curses something about ‘this motherfucker’ under his breath.
“Everything okay, baby?”
Rafe looks up to meet your eyes peeking outside the bathroom door. He gives you a reassuring smile, but you can tell that it doesn’t reach his eyes. Coupled with the fact that his energy has been off ever since he got home today, you can’t help but wonder what’s going through his mind.
“Yeah, yeah. It’s nothing, it’s just Topper bitching to me about the wedding. He doesn’t think he’ll find a date in time.” Rafe cringes at his white lie, but figures it’s better not to stress you out when you’re about to go to sleep. And it’s not completely untrue, Topper has expressed his concerns about finding a date ever since he found out about the engagement. At this point, it’s to be determined if he’s still invited.
You chuckle at the thought. “Our wedding date is 7 months away, surely that’s enough time.”
“Speaking of our wedding.” Rafe starts, which reminds you of the pit in your stomach. “How did it go with your mom today?”
“It was good.”
Rafe raises his eyebrows inquisitively, picking up on the uncertainty in your voice. Finishing your nighttime routine, you make your way to your shared bed. Rafe gets up to meet you halfway and to make sure you’re okay. He’ll be able to tell with just a glance.
“Okay, baby. You know as long as you’re happy, I’m happy.”
Your heart flutters and you smile at him, knowing in your heart that he truly means it. “I know.” You press a kiss to his cheek, wrapping your arms around his large frame. Being in his embrace drowns out any lingering thoughts of frustration. After all, you could choose to blame it on pure exhaustion clouding your mind. “Can you believe we’re getting married in seven months?”
Rafe beams at the thought. “No. Can’t even fathom what I’ve done in my life to deserve you in the first place.”
You shove his chest softly, the tips of your ears warming up at his words. “If anything, it’s the other way around.”
“Not sure about that one, baby.”
You sigh, full of contentment while being held in the secure hold of your fiance. Yet a part of you still feels resigned from the stresses of today. “Just ask my mother.”
You can feel Rafe’s muscles tense slightly before he pulls back to look at you. “What do you mean? I thought it went well today?” The gears are turning in his head as he anticipates your response. He’s always been great at picking up on the smallest of cues, be it the change in your tone or the look in your eyes.
“It could’ve been better. I mean you know her, she always has something negative to say about everything, she’s pretty much allergic to my happiness.” You chuckle softly, trying to deflect and keep the conversation from going where it’s headed.
Rafe is having none of it. “She doesn’t think we should get married?”
“Not without her involvement, ad nauseam. Everything I suggested, she had a better idea. She’s trying to guilt trip me into letting her walk me down the aisle instead of my dad. It was just her usual schtick, trying to control me any way she can, hoping she’ll get my attention by using our wedding to play her little mind games.”
“You don’t owe anything to her, not about this. Besides, security will take care of it if there’s any problems. I’m not gonna let anything ruin this for us.”
“I know.” You reassure him, running your hand up and down his arm. “It’s just a lot of tradition this, and family legacy that. She’s sucking the joy out of everything, like usual.” You mumble that last sentence, almost hoping Rafe didn’t hear it. “Not that I’m not excited to marry you. You know what I mean, right?”
Rafe nods, flashing back to the conversation he had with his father at lunch today. It’s almost uncanny to him how you two are often on the same page about everything. It’s comforting above all else. “Yeah, I do. I know exactly what you mean. I had lunch with my dad today, got a lot of the same bullshit.”
“Oh. I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be, I shut him down. I guess our parents are just hellbent on making sure we do things the same way they did.”
“As if we want to be anything like them?”
Rafe chuckles at your quip, relieved at how you two are able to make light of the stress your families have imposed on you. “As if.”
You both stand in silence for a few moments, enjoying the calm of being in your lover’s arms. The weight of your worries feel lighter now that you’ve shared them with Rafe, unfortunately knowing that they’ve made a home with you until the big day is over and done with. Hopefully you make it, if the stress doesn’t kill you first. If there’s anyone you’d have by your side through this, it’s Rafe. You can’t imagine enduring the hardships that life has to offer with anyone else. Then again, there are worse problems to have. Just seven more months.
“Did you ever see yourself here before? Getting married?” You ask Rafe.
“Not until I found you.” He charms, satisfied with the way you snuggle even closer to him. “How about you?”
“The same. Never thought I’d find the one until I found you. If I’m honest, that’s all I’m excited for, to just be husband and wife.”
“Y/n?” You hum in response, matching his curious tone. “Do you even want a wedding?”
You freeze, noticeably tensing the same way Rafe did some time ago. You knew the answer and had a feeling that he did too. It was painful to put into words. “I want to be married to you, Rafe. You know that right?”
“I know that, silly. I wanna be married to you too, clearly.” Rafe acknowledges, brushing his thumb over the engagement ring on your finger. “But a ceremony and a reception, the tradition. Do you want that?”
You can’t help but give him a knowing look, one that says damn, you’re good. But it’s also filled with a plea for understanding. “I could live without it, but our wedding will be beautiful, Rafe. I just want to make sure that it’s ours. I hope you don’t have the wrong idea, that I’m having second thoughts or anything because I-”
Rafe cuts off your ramble by kissing you, your face cupped in his hands delicately. He’s gentle, but reassuring. He needs you to remember that he knows you and he’ll never forget.
“Run away with me?” His eyes gaze into yours and there’s an intensity of love behind them that leaves you tearing up. “Our wedding will be beautiful, because it will be ours. Just you and me. We can still have the actual event, don’t think that I don’t dream of you walking down the aisle towards me. We can still have the party and the tall ass cake that you deserve. But having that doesn’t mean we can’t have what we want.”
Rafe’s never been more sure of himself as he watches a tear slip down your cheek, his thumb wiping it away before it can fall too far. You beam at him, and it’s your turn to kiss the man that you love. The man that you’re about to run away and elope with.
“Screw tradition, let’s get married.”
—
The sun sets in the distance, giving you and your husband the perfect view of your spot on the beach, taking turns at feeding each other bites of a miniature cake, coated in a silky white frosting to commemorate your marriage. It was Rafe’s surprise to you, having ordered it custom, and practically overnight, decorated with icing rosettes and your new titles, Mr. and Mrs., written beautifully in the center.
“Our families might kill us, you know.”
Rafe’s smile doesn’t budge, he’s convinced it might just be stuck on his face forever as long as he’s spending it with you. “I guess that means we’ll have to die together then, doesn’t it?”
“I guess it does.” You whisper, closing the distance to kiss your husband. You’ll never get sick of it. Golden rays from the setting sun surround you in glowing warmth, something you’ll feel in your heart from this day forward. The light catches your diamond ring perfectly and it winks at you with a sparkle, forever a reminder of the love you and Rafe share.
He pulls back, yet never too far as he holds your face in his hands. His cerulean eyes glimmer with a hope you only see when he’s looking back at you. “You don’t regret it? Not having the fairytale wedding?”
“This is my fairytale wedding. Just you, me, and a cake.” Rafe smiles, unable to imagine that this is his real life; unable to imagine that having him and him alone, is more than enough for you. There’s not a decision he’s been more sure of in his life than asking you to marry him. “Do you regret it? Marrying me without a prenup?”
Rafe scoffs lightheartedly. “You’ve already taken my heart so you might as well have the rest. Nothing else matters to me as long as you’re mine and I’m yours. I love you, remember? ‘Til death do us part.”
He holds out his pinky and you happily reciprocate the youthful gesture by locking your fingers together. “‘Til death do us part.”
Emotion overcomes you once more, pouring your heart into a kiss that’s as true as your promise to each other. You know he intends to keep his, and so do you. Daring to love each other through the pretty and the ugly, healing each other with a simple look or touch. You wouldn’t trade it for anything. If you don’t have each other, then you have nothing at all.

“Spare me, Doctor Buzzkill”
synopsis: While Sylus is away on a business deal, you miraculously get Zayne and Greyson to go on a night out with Tara, except you get very drunk and you miss your boyfriend a lot.
content: sylus x afab!reader; reader is MC; use of Y/N; established relationship; zayne/greyson/tara cameos; excessive drinking; mentions of throwing up; god-awful amount of fluff; mostly proofread
word count: ~2.4k
a/n: the people cast their votes and so here is the fluff fic requested by the masses~~ can you guys tell zayne is my second favorite or no? this is sort of? a continuation of the last fic where zayne and sylus first met (tagged anyone who replied or liked the poll from earlier this week)
You couldn’t believe you’d convinced Zayne to come out with you and your Hunter friends. Tara—who had accompanied you a handful of times to Akso Hospital for your check ups—had been flirting with Doctor Greyson at any opportunity she could. So you both hatched a plan to invite Greyson on a night out and, by some miracle, got Zayne not only to play along but to join you as well. He’d agreed that Greyson would be more comfortable going as long as he had a familiar face there with him.
And so here you all were, at a club many Hunters frequented, having the time of your lives.
Well, you and Tara were.
Zayne and Greyson, not ones for partying, mostly stayed at the bar nursing their (non-alcoholic) drinks. You and Tara managed to get them on the dance floor at one point, and once Tara and Greyson’s attentions were locked on each other, you and Zayne made a swift exit.
“Do you think Greyson will ask Tara out?” you asked Zayne as you ordered another drink. Admittedly you were a bit drunk, but you were having too much fun to quit now.
“I’m not sure,” Zayne replied. “He seems quite fond of her, though.”
You nodded your assent, too busy sipping from a straw to speak aloud.
“How many drinks have you had tonight?” Zayne asked.
“Don’t go all doctor on me right now,” you said. “I’m fine.”
He arched a brow. “I’m not sure your boyfriend will be pleased with me if I bring you home drunk out of your mind.”
You gaped at him. “Drunk out of my mind?” you repeated, incredulous. “That’s a little dramatic, Zayne. And besides, Skye is away on business right now anyway, so you’re safe.”
Talking about Sylus sent a pang of longing through your chest. He’d been away for three days already, handling a rather important business deal involving modified Protocores. He wasn’t supposed to come back for another two days, and you missed him terribly. It was probably why you were pounding drinks, insisting you were fine and not at all drunk. You wished he was here too, to have fun and enjoy the night with you and your friends.
“I feel like him being away means I’m far from safe,” Zayne grumbled. “I am your primary care physician, I’m responsible for making sure you remain healthy.”
You rolled your eyes at your primary care physician. “Spare me, Doctor Buzzkill.” You drained the rest of your drink and slapped the glass onto the bar. “I’m going to dance, you coming?”
Zayne shook his head. “Go on.”
Throwing him a little wave, you rejoined Tara and Greyson on the dance floor.
—
“I’m not drunk!” you yelled, your words blatantly slurred. “I’m not ready to go home yet.”
“Y/N, you can’t walk straight and your eyes are barely open,” Zayne admonished, tugging a stumbling you toward the exit.
Tara and Greyson trailed behind you, their hands grazing with every other step, bright pink blushes staining their cheeks. Too bad you were too drunk to notice the exciting progress they had made, but Tara would be sure to fill you in once you were sober.
“Mmm’not drunk,” you repeated so quietly no one even heard you.
You wished Sylus was here. You missed him so much. You missed his snowy hair, his striking red eyes. The slope of his nose and the curve of his lips. The way those lips felt on yours, on your bare skin.
“Zayne I’m really hot,” you declared.
Zayne turned and placed the back of his cool hand on your forehead. “You feel a little warm but nothing to be concerned with. Would you feel better if I carried you on my back?”
You nodded, your bottom lip sticking out as you pouted.
Zayne smiled softly at the sight before turning again and dropping into a crouch. You clambered onto his back, Greyson and Tara needing to rush forward to steady you when it looked like you were going to fall off. With your arms securely around Zayne’s neck (to the point where you were almost choking him) he straightened with ease.
Greyson looked at Tara. “Were you going to call a taxi because I can drive you home, you know, if you wanted.”
Tara’s face lit up. “Are you sure?” she asked. “You didn’t drink too much?”
Greyson chuckled. “Doctor Zayne and I didn’t actually have any alcohol, I’m perfectly sober.”
“Okay!” Tara agreed excitedly.
Greyson smiled. “My car is at the hospital, but it’s not that far of a walk.”
“I don’t mind,” Tara said. “It’s a nice night out.”
“Zayne,” you whispered in his ear. “Zayne, do you—hic—think Greyson will ask her out tonight?”
Zayne chuckled. “It’s possible.”
“How are we getting home?” you asked.
“Your apartment isn’t far, I’ll take you there then grab a taxi back to my place,” he explained.
“Mmmkay.”
“Looks like we’ll be going our separate ways then,” Greyson declared.
You perked up and began waving excessively. “Goodbye Doctor Greyson! Bye Tara! Call me tomorrow!”
They both laughed at your obvious drunken state and offered their goodbyes before heading off in the opposite direction.
Zayne started the walk to your apartment, adjusting you on his back.
Your thoughts returned to your boyfriend.
“Zayne,” you mumbled. “I miss Sylus.”
His steps faltered. “Who?”
You huffed, not realizing the mistake you made in not using Sylus’s alias. “I said I miss Sylus, you know, my—hic—my boyfriend. I don’t like it when he leaves for his stupid business trips.”
Still slightly confused, Zayne said, “Why don’t you call him?”
“Call him?” you echoed. “Oh! You’re right! I can call him.” You started tapping Zayne’s cheek. “Let me down, let me down.”
Zayne carefully lowered you to your feet, keeping a hand hovering close by in case you started to sway. You pulled out your phone from your pocket, but no matter how many times you pressed the power button, it never turned on.
Tears pooled in your eyes as you stared at the black screen. “It’s dead,” you mumbled. “I’ll never talk to Sylus again!”
Zayne swallowed a laugh. “When we get to your apartment, you can plug your phone in and call him once it’s charged.”
Your tear-filled eyes looked up at Zayne. “Do you promise?”
“I promise.”
—
You threw up once, in a random bush, on your way to your apartment. You almost threw up all over Zayne, whose back you had climbed onto once more, but managed to get him to put you down in time to avoid covering him in vomit.
You walk-stumbled the rest of the way, just in case you had to throw up again.
When you reached your apartment door, it took you three tries to remember the code to unlock it, despite needing only your fingerprint.
The second you walked through the door, another sudden wave of nausea hit you. You bolted for the bathroom, leaving a concerned Zayne in the entryway.
After closing and locking the door, Zayne made his way to the bathroom and found you hunched over the toilet, puking your guts up. He held your hair and rubbed your back as you retched.
“I told you you had too much to drink,” he teased.
“Shut up!” you cried.
You gagged and spit a few more times before collapsing onto the floor. Zayne carefully observed your condition—clammy and pale—and rose to his feet.
“Stay there, I’m going to get you some water,” he said.
You nodded, having zero intention of getting up anytime soon.
Zayne hurried to the kitchen. He had to search through a few cabinets before finding your glasses, then went to the water dispenser in your fridge. As he waited for the glass to fill, he heard a noise from the entryway, like someone was trying to unlock the door.
He moved quickly, depositing the half full glass on the counter and going to the entryway. He didn’t know who had the code to your apartment but he certainly didn’t think you were expecting visitors, especially when your phone had been dead this whole time.
Zayne decided it was best to catch whoever was trying to come in off guard. He grabbed the handle and yanked the door open.
“Doctor Zayne, what a pleasant surprise. Did you help my drunk girlfriend home?”
Skye—no, Sylus? Whatever his name was, stood on the other side of the door, giving Zayne an assessing once over.
Sylus and Zayne—in the little time they had spent together since Sylus became your boyfriend—had gained an unspoken, mutual respect for each other. They both acknowledged the importance of the other in your life, and as long as you were happy and taken care of, that was all that mattered.
So Sylus wasn’t upset that the doctor was currently in your apartment when he was supposed to be away on business. In fact, he was rather relieved that you had someone looking after you while he wasn’t there, especially when you were drunk. But he was here now, and he fully planned on assuming the role of your caretaker.
“Skye, I thought you were on a business trip,” said Zayne, stepping aside for the snowy-haired man. He wasn’t going to ask about the name thing, he honestly didn’t want to know.
Sylus held up his phone, the screen open on a myriad of texts you had drunkenly sent him throughout the night. “How could I not come home early when Y/N was practically begging me to?”
Zayne snorted. “Her phone died by the time we left the club, she was very upset she couldn’t call you.”
Sylus huffed, taking off his shoes. “Poor thing. Where is she—”
“Sy?”
Both men’s heads snapped up to where you stood in the living room, disheveled as all hell. But to Sylus (and Zayne) you were still the most beautiful treasure he’d ever laid his eyes on.
“Hi sweetie,” he drawled. “Miss me?”
You cried out a strangled laugh and ran for him, launching yourself into his waiting arms so hard he nearly fell backward.
“I missed you,” you whispered in his ear, relishing in the way his warmth enveloped you.
“Oh I know, you made that abundantly clear,” he teased.
You drew back, your brow furrowed. “When?”
Sylus raised a brow. “Just how drunk are you?”
“Very,” answered Zayne.
You pouted, craning your neck to look at your doctor. “I feel better now.”
“Because you threw up everything you drank,” said Zayne. He looked at Sylus. “She needs water to rehydrate, but don’t let her chug it. Slow sips only. Have her take some painkillers before bed so she doesn’t end up waking up with as bad of a hangover and don’t let her sleep on her back. If she still isn’t feeling well tomorrow, give me a call and I’ll bring over some medicine. I trust you can take over from here?”
Sylus nodded. “Thank you for taking care of her for me.”
Zayne smiled slightly. “Of course, I’m her primary care physician after all.”
You shoved your face into Sylus’s neck. “He’s Doctor Buzzkill,” you muttered into his skin.
Sylus barked a laugh. “Okay, kitten,” he said, patting your back, “let’s go get you cleaned up, yeah?”
Sylus and Zayne exchanged a curt nod as Sylus finally walked out of the entryway. You waved weakly at your doctor over Sylus’s shoulder as he carried you to the bathroom.
“Don’t forget to charge your phone,” Zayne said by way of goodbye.
“I’m so glad you came home early,” you told Sylus as he sat you on the lip of the sink.
Sylus pressed a soft kiss to your forehead. “‘Sy come home, I miss you.’ ‘I miss you, Sy, when are you coming home?’ ‘It’s not as fun going out without you, Sy.’ And many, many more messages like that, all throughout the night. I don’t think you gave me any other choice, sweetie.”
You grinned, not feeling even the slightest bit guilty for being the reason he cut his trip short. “I really did miss you,” you said, reaching for his hand and twining your fingers. “Though I think I said your real name in front of Zayne.”
Sylus shrugged. “I don’t think it’ll be a big deal, plus we could always blame it on your drunken state.” He frowned as he looked you over. “You really shouldn’t drink that much, kitten.”
“I’m fine,” you insisted. “It’s like Zayne said, I threw it all up.”
Sylus scoffed. “Yeah and your doctor gave me specific orders for me to follow so how about we get you in the shower so I can do that?”
You didn’t move, instead your expression softened as you stared at your boyfriend. “I think you and Zayne could be good friends, if you both gave it a chance.”
Surprise flitted across Sylus’s face. “I don’t need friends, sweetie. I only need you.”
“What about Luke and Kieran?”
“They’re my subordinates.”
“Mephisto?”
“He’s a mechanical bird.”
“Okay, next time we go out, you’re coming with us so we can make you some friends.”
Sylus laughed. “Sure, whatever you say, kitten.”
—
Bonus:
*the next morning*
You squealed into the phone, effectively startling Sylus awake.
“So you’re going on a date?” you asked. You waited for the person on the line to reply, then squealed again. “Tara this is so exciting! Our plan actually worked!”
Sylus stared up at you, wondering if you were even human to have drank so much the night previous yet seemed to have woken up perfectly fine. So fine that you found it appropriate to scream into your phone at whatever unholy hour of the morning it was.
“Okay, so I already have our next mission planned,” you said excitedly. “Operation Make Skye Some Friends.”
Sylus groaned loudly and covered his head with his pillow. He did not want to hear what you had to say next.

"You sure we’ve got everything?" Joe asked, glancing at you as you double-checked the baby bag for the third time.
"Diapers, wipes, formula, bottles, extra clothes, his favorite blanket," you listed off, zipping the bag shut with a decisive tug. "Yep, I think we’re good. Unless Hayes has something catastrophic planned, but let’s pray he doesn’t."
Joe chuckled under his breath. “He’s my kid. Odds aren’t great.”
You shot him a playful glare, leaning back in your seat. “Well, let’s hope he takes after me in the ‘not causing chaos’ department.”
The spring sun streamed through the windows, the light dancing over Joe’s profile. He wore a casual hoodie and a cap pulled low, but the little flickers of excitement in his eyes gave him away. Despite his laid-back demeanor, you knew he was looking forward to this.
It wasn’t just any gathering—it was the first time Joe’s teammates would be meeting Hayes, and Ja’Marr had insisted on hosting a little welcome-baby party at his place. You could already picture the chaos waiting for you there, with half the Bengals ready to turn a simple gathering into an impromptu celebration.
“I bet Ja’Marr has some wild decorations,” you said, watching the scenery pass outside.
“Guaranteed,” Joe replied with a smirk. “He texted me a picture of a balloon arch at like 2 a.m. last night.”
You laughed, imagining Ja’Marr staying up late to perfect the setup. “Well, at least he’s taking his duties as ‘honorary uncle’ seriously.”
The drive passed quickly, and before you knew it, Joe was pulling into Ja’Marr’s driveway, which was lined with cars and a few oversized SUVs that you recognized as belonging to other players. Sure enough, there was a massive balloon arch at the entrance, spelling out Welcome Baby Hayes! in bold, glittering letters.
“Subtle,” Joe muttered, grinning as he unbuckled his seatbelt.
You glanced back at Hayes, who was wide-eyed and babbling nonsense to his stuffed tiger. “Alright, baby boy,” you said softly. “Let’s go meet Dad’s other family.”
Joe grabbed the baby bag while you carefully lifted Hayes out of his car seat, holding him close as the two of you walked up to the door. The second you stepped inside, the noise hit—a chorus of cheers and shouts greeting you like a wave.
“There he is!”
“Joey B and Baby B!”
“Look at this little guy!”
The Bengals were in full force, a mix of giant smiles, loud voices, and open arms. Ja’Marr was the first to approach, grinning ear to ear as he took in the sight of Hayes.
“Man, he’s even smaller than I thought,” Ja’Marr said, bending down slightly to get a better look. “What’s up, little guy? I’m your Uncle Ja’Marr. You’re gonna hear a lot about me.”
Hayes blinked at him, his tiny face scrunching up like he wasn’t sure how to feel about the towering man in front of him.
“Give him some space, Chase,” Tee Higgins joked, nudging Ja’Marr aside. “You’re probably scaring the poor kid.”
“Scaring him?” Ja’Marr shot back, feigning offense. “I’m the most likable guy in the room.”
You laughed, adjusting Hayes in your arms as Joe stepped in beside you, offering nods and grins to his teammates. “He’s already used to noise, trust me,” you said.
As the party got underway, the team took turns fawning over Hayes. Sam Hubbard tried to cradle him like a football, earning a sharp “don’t even think about it” from you, while Evan McPherson made Hayes giggle with a silly face. Even the usually stoic players softened around your baby, their towering frames and booming voices taking on a gentle edge.
“He’s got your baby blues,” Tyler Boyd remarked to Joe, who had settled next to you on the couch, looking proud and a little overwhelmed by all the attention.
“Yeah,” Joe said, glancing at Hayes with a faint smile. “He’s a good mix of both of us, though.”
You smiled, leaning into Joe’s side as Hayes cooed and wiggled in your lap. It was chaos, sure, but the good kind—the kind that made you feel surrounded by love and warmth.
The party buzzed on, filled with warm chatter and soft laughter, but Joe’s focus never wavered. Hayes had become the star of the show, passed around like a delicate treasure as each of Joe’s teammates clamored for a turn to hold him.
“Alright, my turn,” Tee Higgins declared, holding out his arms.
You glanced at Joe, who was standing just a few steps away, his shoulders tense as if Hayes might suddenly sprout wings and fly out of someone’s grip.
Tee chuckled. “Relax, man. I’ve got nieces and nephews. I know what I’m doing.”
Joe hesitated, his jaw tightening before he finally nodded. “Just… make sure his head’s supported.”
“Got it, Dad,” Tee replied with a teasing grin. He carefully scooped Hayes out of your arms, holding him securely. “See? No problem.”
Joe crossed his arms, his eyes glued to Hayes like a hawk watching its prey. His lips pressed into a thin line every time Hayes wiggled or let out a tiny noise.
“You’re gonna burn a hole into Tee’s face if you keep staring like that,” you whispered to Joe, nudging him lightly.
“He’s fine,” Joe muttered, though his feet shifted as if he were ready to lunge at any moment.
Ja’Marr sidled up beside him, clapping him on the back. “Man, you’ve gotta chill. Hayes is cool. Tee’s not gonna drop him.”
“Yeah, I know,” Joe replied quickly. But his body language said otherwise, every muscle taut as he watched Tee sway gently with Hayes, making goofy faces that earned a few soft coos from the baby.
As the night went on, each teammate took their turn. Evan, with his steady kicker’s hands, rocked Hayes expertly, drawing a rare smile from Joe. Even the defensive linemen, whose hands were more accustomed to crushing quarterbacks than cradling babies, handled Hayes with surprising gentleness.
Sam leaned down to whisper something to Hayes, his voice soft but gruff. “Alright, little guy. In a few years, we’ll get you in pads, yeah?”
“Over my dead body,” Joe shot back, his voice sharp enough to draw a laugh from the room.
You couldn’t help but smile as you watched Joe. His protectiveness wasn’t new, but seeing it in action with Hayes added a new layer to the man you already loved. There was something endearing about the way he hovered, his eyes darting from one set of hands to the next, his whole demeanor a mixture of pride and quiet panic.
Finally, Ja’Marr got his turn, holding Hayes with a confidence that rivaled Joe’s own. “See? This is how you do it,” he said, rocking Hayes like a natural.
Joe didn’t respond, but his eyes stayed locked on Hayes, his lips twitching every time the baby shifted.
“Alright, alright,” Ja’Marr teased, handing Hayes back to you. “Before Joey B has a heart attack.”
Joe exhaled audibly as Hayes was safely returned to your arms. He stepped closer, his hand brushing against Hayes’s back as if to reassure himself.
“He was fine, you know,” you said softly, smiling up at him.
“I know,” Joe murmured, his hand lingering. “But he’s… I just don’t like being too far from him.”
Your heart softened at his words, and you leaned into his side, letting Hayes settle comfortably between you.
“Welcome to fatherhood,” you said with a grin.
Joe finally relaxed, his arm draping over your shoulders as he pressed a kiss to your temple. “Yeah,” he said quietly, his gaze still on Hayes. “I think I’m getting the hang of it.”
