IT IS!! Yes! Mount Huaguo (花果山) is the mountain where Sun Wukong was born and the peach is one of the peaches of immortality he steals from the gods.

Random fun fact (maybe I’ll make this a daily thing if I have the energy…):

“Sincere” is derived from the Italian “sine cera”, literally “without wax”. Why? Imperfections in a marble statue were filled in with wax to conceal them, so the piece of an artist who could complete it without any imperfections was celebrated as “sine cera”; it was flawless on its own, and did not require any patching up. Thus “sine cera” came to mean “true”, as the statue did not need deceptive fixing, and the phrase eventually evolved in to “sincere”.

Idk I just think that’s really cool 🤷🏼‍♀️

My friends taking a college class on women gender and sexuality studies and they’re doing a project on like misogyny homophobia racism etc etc and kinda like how those things are connected and they’re letting me help with the project so we’re doing it on sexism within fandom spaces based on statistical data found in the top 20 ao3 ships each year (2019-2924) including race and gender and how women are often minimized within media and fandom spaces
