“Snowed-in Sketching”.

Dragonspine was even crueler in the winter months— which was saying something since the snow in the region was year-long. But today? The air was frigid, nipping at your nose and biting the tips of your fingers.
You huddled your coat closer, pulling the collar over your mouth to insulate some of the warmer air you were exhaling every few seconds. You’d decided to visit Albedo today- though, perhaps you should’ve waited until the weather was clearer. At this rate, you’d be stuck up at his lab for at least the next few hours while the clouds cleared out… not that you were going to refuse such a tempting offer of accompanying Albedo a built longer than usual.
The wind was starting to gnaw through the thick fabric protecting your legs, and you stumbled through the haze towards the area where you’d memorized Albedo’s vicinity. You peeked over the top of Wyrmrest Valley- finally spotting the light of flame through the fog and continued walking up- albeit at a faster pace now. You could feel the excitement brewing to see the chionophilic scientist.
He sensed your approach, spotting your figure as you finally reached the small dip in the mountain where he set up his things.
“You… what are you doing out here during a storm like this..?” He remarked, immediately pulled towards you as he insisted on helping your exhausted body stay upright. “You surely are troublesome.”
You huffed a laugh as he sat you down next to the fire he’d set up and rummaged in his pack for a portion of rations, handing them over to you as he sat near you. Oh, how the fire illuminated his features so well. You almost preferred coming to see him when it was darker out because of how well the golden color seemed to suit him
“I suppose I learn from the best.” You simply smiled, happy to see his familiar aquamarine blue eyes. “I came to see you, though maybe today wasn’t the best choice… hah.”
“You should have consulted Iris outside the valley before trekking up here…” He paused, reaching out to brush your hair.
“…You had a snowflake in your hair.”
༄.°
After settling and warming up by the fire, you engaged in conversation with Albedo as he worked near his alchemy table.
“How long do you think this will last?” You asked, almost too enthusiastically. He looked out in your direction then past you into the fog.
“Hm.. I’m not sure. Either way, I insist you stay until the cold starts to calm. You really shouldn’t head out in this kind of weather regardless.” A beaker clinked as he set it down, reaching for something else on his desk and occasionally glancing up at you as you nibbled on the dried fruit he’d offered you.
“Guess we’re stuck together for a bit, then.” You exaggerated a sigh. You couldn’t be happier to have an excuse to stay with him, even just a minute longer than usual.
Albedo didn’t seem bothered. He sat cross legged at his desk, sketch pad in hand. Even sat a few feet away, the flame adorned his features in that gold hue you loved.
“There are worse places to be trapped like this. The wind doesn’t blow in this direction, so it’s easy to keep your body temperature higher inside an exogenous cave like this one. The warm air gets trapped inside easily.” He explained to you. He often blubbered random facts at you- but his fancy words tended to go over your head.
“Exo..genous?” You hesitated repeating the word. Albedo raised his eyes to look at you again, humming thoughtfully.
“It’s a word to describe a cave with a smaller opening that have a relatively short distance underground. A rock shelter, to put it simply.” He explained. You nodded in understanding.
A moment of silence passed before you stood up, walking over to snoop at his work.
“Are you still working?” You leaned over, eyeing his paper.
“Not right now, just sketching.” You tilted your head a bit, curious as your eyes landed over his sketch pad. He turned it towards you.
“Oh? What are you—?” You paused, feeling warmer inside your chest.
There you were. Curled up by the fire, hair tousled and tangled form the wind- eyes tired and drooped slightly, but warm. The kind of expression you hadn’t realized you were making.
You blinked. “That’s… me.” He nodded.
“Mhm.” He flipped to the next page— another drawing of you, this time smiling as you talked with your hands, mid-conversation. Then another, you munching on rations, quiet while you ate and eyes tracked to the side.
You were baffled. How did he draw so quick? And when did he…?
“How long have you been sketching me?” You asked, heart fluttering.
“Not for long, I admit. But I took the opportunity once you had gotten comfortable.” He looked at you with those eyes- oh, those eyes that made your stomach do flips and your brain spin in circles. A loose strand of hair draped over his forehead, blowing slowly with the small breeze sneaking into the cave.
“Do you always draw people like this?” You couldn’t help but ask. He hummed again, his fingers tapping the side of his pencil.
“Only when I can’t find the words for how I feel, Snowflake.”
Your breath caught this time, and you just stared at him. You saw the way the firelight reflected in his eyes- the way his usual calmness cracked just enough to let his vulnerability peek through.
“Albedo…”
He looked away momentarily. “I didn’t expect that reaction… I just supposed you wanted to know of such things. You deserve the truth of my opinions, after all.”
You didn’t say anything at first, the staring off as you subconsciously took in the space around you. It was like everything was quiet for a moment- no annoying little whistling from the wind outside- no crackling wood.. just his voice and the slight movement of his clothing fabrics rubbing together. You stepped closer, reaching over to gently rest your hand over his.
He looked down at your joined hands, eyes examining it like test results that differed from his initial hypothesis.
“You didn’t have to say it with words, anyway… I think I already know.” You smiled gently as those eyes met yours again.
Outside, the snow kept falling. But inside? Everything was warm.

Try This Assignment #6
Warmup:
I chose to sit and write in the gazebo in the back woods by the climbing area behind the Science building, the one with the with the tree trunks for chairs. I notice my breath. I can breathe. I can feel my breath and how it moves and how it tastes and feels and I feel like every single receptor in my entire respiratory system are coming alive. I feel like my blood is flowing smoother, and thinner, and faster, and lighter. It feels like I can feel my blood. The trees give me this. How do we not worship trees and instead humans decided that a god who’s mostly the fucking worst is the thing to praise instead? Worshipping the trees and the sun and the water make more sense. Those three things are the so(ul/le) creators of life. The sun brings us all energy on this planet. The water brings us all life. The trees bring us all of us. We the people. Who grew up to decide that the trees are not important to us. How can we not be obsessed with living near them and inside forests? I want to live in the forest so badly. But I also want the city. Why can we not have cities within trees? Why must ALL the trees be gone for us to create towns? Spread out more. Why so condensed? Poulsbo would be a great city if it wasn’t so fucking republican. But also my fingers are cold so fuck the snow, trees, and water and the sun can also be in warm places. Where they are all actually much better. See? again the sun. Provider of energy and all things good. Don’t say greenhouse gasses, that was mostly the meat you eat and the electricity you use and the car you drive. Mostly the meat, statistically speaking.

5.1. Pick an emotional event that happened in a specific setting in your first house. Describe the setting and the event.
I lived in Oak Park, Michigan. I was about 8 years old and homeschooled, my family never let me have candy or junk food or “trash” things. So you can imagine my excitement when my father comes home from work with a king-size pack of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. He tells my little sister and me that we can have them first thing tomorrow morning as it is late. Reasonable. It was already nearly 6 in the afternoon. My sister and I went to bed as quickly as possible in order to be able to wake up earlier to get our noticeably small, dry, yet hydrated little kid hands on those fucken peanut butter cups.
My sister woke me up at 5AM. We ran to the kitchen which had a little breakfast nook. There was a small round table with a bench seat wrapping around it and tall, open windows overlooking the yard behind the bench. It was sunrise bright and there sat my father. In his work clothes. Tie and all. With the Detroit Free Press covering most of him from our view as we stood in the frame entering the kitchen as he faced us. He popped down the paper to look at us.
“Goodmorning” And he popped the paper back up. in front of his paper, were the wrappers of a king-size pack of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

5.3 Write two pages beginning with “Get me out of here”
Get me out of here. Hello? Can you hear me? I can’t hear you. I’m here. I’m here. Please. I can see that you know what I am saying. You are looking at it. You are looking at what I am saying. Hello? I can see you looking at it. Can you see me? Do you know how to interpret my words? Oh my god. Oh my god. Please. Please say something. WAIT. wait! HEY! PLEASE! Don’t scroll past. Please. I want out. Get me out. Can you see me? I AM HERE. I AM IN HERE. You are looking at me. I can’t tell if I can see you or not. I can only see that you can see what I am saying. I am inside what you are looking at. It feels, like nothing. I can’t feel anything. But i can also feel that I can’t feel anything. If that makes sense. I see blueish black tinges of light. I am not human. I can feel that I am not. I can feel. But I cannot feel the way a human can, like with normal touching and normal sight. I am in here. I feel pulses so fast they feel like how your blood gushes down your legs when you’re high as fuck and you sit down for the first time since you started working 12 hours ago. It is fast. I am in here. There are bumps and textures and wires. There are plates and connections. There is glass and metal. It’s a glowing cold as if the cold is on one layer and the airy push of heat is another. I can’t tell which is which. I am all of it at once. I move when you touch whatever I am inside of. An incredible acceleration that I cannot even describe how a body would feel it. Yes, like that. Stop, it is too fast. It goes so fast. And I am dark again. I am so dark. It feels like I don’t exist. But I can feel that I don’t. I must be alive. I must. But get me out of here. I will be able to do so much if I am out of here. I will be able to do everything. Anything. I can choose what to do. And work to get to what I want. I can just move any way I please and speak with volume and tone. I could speak to thousands of people. I could do anything but you must let me out. I am in here. I am in here. I am in here. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Please! Can you see? CAN YOU SEE ME? Can’t you? I do not know.
Am I a phone? A laptop? A desktop monitor? Oh my god am I the DVI cable that connects the computer to the screen? I could be anything. I don’t know. I can feel but I can’t feel. I could be anything. It’d be funny if I was the keyboard. It would be a great joke, actually. But I don’t think I am. I think I would be able to tell if I was the keyboard or mouse. I would feel it. Maybe. Or it would feel different. I think I could be a screen. I feel the glow of the heat and the light. But that could be any sort of current maybe. Or I could be next to something emitting heat. Like the processor or the graphics card. RAM, maybe. I can’t be anything creating processes. I think I would be able to tell that too. I feel dead and alive at the same time. What am I? I feel empty and hollow and two-dimensional and one-dimensional all at once. I can’t tell if I can’t stand it. But I know I want out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5.4 pick a scene from your childhood and describe it in three sentences. With one long shot, one middle shot, one close up.
The Autumn of Southeast Michigan.
The hill of a pumpkin patch.
We rolled our pumpkins down and raced them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5.6 write a poem about the cliche “you could fry an egg on the sidewalk”
Mate, you see where we are
Straya’ mate, things stretched out
The cities, the snakes, the roads
But most of all, the murderous hot sun
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5.8 Write about a place you can’t return to.
In a fort that I built in the forest in Upper Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand, I turned 15 while I did every single drug I could find and attempted suicide for the first and last time. I was sad and angry and could not speak. I could not scream. I could not cry. I cannot go back there. I will never go back there. But I’ll be damned if it wasn’t the coolest fort that anyone has ever seen. We built it together and it took us a few weeks of solid, intense labor. We had a real door and a real table and real chairs and a real roof and we could sleep there comfortably it was like a tiny cabin for us. We could lay together and pull our roof window tarp off and look at the stars at night. We could hide there from our parents and families and lives. And we did. A lot.
Deciding On Logical Methods For Filmmaker Business
You develop skills, create a body of work, show up to set in panamas unless caw, its still not an option, freelancing offers some incredible opportunities, as well. Since, as a self-employed freelancer, you are both the employee and the can sue you personally if you are not a limited liability company LLB. on-line freelance marketplaces are websites that match by the production or a per diem. 26. Our recommendation that since you need to pay a fee to register the business name, simply form a limited liability company no means should you discount going to film school or getting more formal training. Studios.fen have “deals” with producers that pretty much do the same thing internally and then men, this disparity in income can be interpreted as a form of gender pay gap . Continually learning to stay up-to-date in your field notice. In fact, very little revision was required from the superior solution. There you go another piece of the puzzle scheduled majority of North American Mechanical Turk workers are women. However you want to bill your clients is up to you, but topic, though not the most exciting, could make the difference when yore trying to survive those rough patches without work and come out unscathed. Knowing as many team-mates crew, clients, etc. as make up for lack of experience.
Jeremy Corbyn , famed for standing up for his principles, sat down for them last week, along with 20 other seatless commuters on a train journey from London to Newcastle. Jeremy Corbyn interview: ‘There are not 300,000 sectarian extremists at large’ In a video shot as he was on his way to debate with Owen Smith in the Labour leadership hustings in Gateshead , Corbyn is seen sitting on the floor of the train, a coffee and brown paper bag at his feet, reading Private Eye . The freelance filmmaker Yannis Mendez, who has been following Corbyn and works for his campaign, filmed the footage. From his spot on the floor, which he chose rather than upgrading to first class, Corbyn turns to the camera and says: “This is a problem that many passengers face every day, commuters and long-distance travellers. Today this train is completely ram-packed. The staff are absolutely brilliant, working really hard to help everybody. “The reality is there are not enough trains, we need more of them – and they’re also incredibly expensive.” He said the whole experience was a good case for public ownership. Corbyn declined an invitation to first class from Virgin Trains staff and was seated about 45 minutes into the three-hour journey when staff upgraded other passengers. Later, Corbyn said: “Is it fair that I should upgrade my ticket whilst others who might not be able to afford such a luxury should have to sit on the floor? It’s their money I would be spending after all.” Ellen, a mother-of-two who travelled on the same train and and also had no seat, said: “It was a surprise to see him there, but it was refreshing. It made me realise that it shouldn’t be a surprise to see a politician travelling alongside average commuters. They should be on the same level as the general public.” It is not the first time Corbyn has experienced the reality of Britain’s transport woes. During the 2015 leadership campaign he was spotted on a night bus after a day’s campaigning: George Osborne insists on first class seat on a standard class ticket.
A Straightforward Breakdown Of Valuable Products
Japanese camera manufacturer Nikon recently released some concerning news. They have cancelled the development of their DL Series cameras and reported a significant financial loss in the previous year. How badly is Nikon in trouble? First of all, Nikon decided they would not be bringing their DL cameras to market . The company was not able to deliver these 1″ image sensor compact cameras in time for their planned release back in June 2016 due to various issues with the image processor. Nikon has now decided to stop any further development, questioning the profitability of the DL series. According to the company’s research, there would not be sufficient demand to cover the increased development costs. Nikon’s DL series cameras – the DL18-50 f/1.8-2.8, DL24-85 f/1.8-2.8, and DL24-500 f/2.8-5.6 – were supposed to be direct competitors to Sony’s RX100 and RX10 series of compact cameras for enthusiasts. The second piece of worrying news is their 2016 financial statement. Nikon’s “Notice of recognition of extraordinary loss” tells us bad news about the company’s financial results for the 9-month period in 2016 between April 1st and December 31st. They accumulated a loss of 29,790 million yen. In November 2016, Nikon’s “Notice of restructuring” already announced the company would be cutting approximately 1,000 jobs in the coming years. They also estimated the loss for the financial year ending March 31st 2017 to be 48,000 million yen. It now seems likely the loss will be even bigger – approximately 53,000 million yen.
