I hate to say it…but that Doctor/Amy moment in The Power Of Three was very obviously rewritten by Moffat. ‘Because you were the first face this face saw and you are seared onto my hearts forever’ could not be more Moffat in either language or sentiment. Especially as it was repeated in 11´s regeneration scene. RTD rewrote scripts all the time too (he wrote so much of The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit that he’s on record saying he regrets not giving himself the writer credit for it). Broadchurch though…that was all Chibnall, and there was gorgeous character work throughout. It isn’t quite as absent from his Doctor Who stuff as people say IMO, but it’s still doesn’t hit the levels of humanity that Broadchurch did so effortlessly.

no you’re right that makes so much sense. it’s so disheartening though. because every time I go ‘oh oh new guy who could show run dw maybe ??‘ it’s always rusty and steven the fanboy brothers 😔
