15k words later, my dumb ass little story is done… break ups, make ups, drama, sad sex, and an epilogue because i am more dramatic than my characters…

“A hazard of sleeping with your reports.” His tone is a little teasing. “If it wasn’t this, it would’ve been something else. We couldn’t have gotten out of this unscathed.”

“I can’t accept that.” She pushes him lightly on the chest and he lets her go. “That’s not fair. I never wanted this, I never chose to be the Inquisitor.” She sounds petulant. She doesn’t care. “It’s so unfair that I want this so badly but it’s just… doomed.”
