I need to rewatch Planet 51 at some point. I know it’s a dogshit family movie and no one remembers it for a good reason, but unfortunately I think it had more influence over my tastes than I’d like to admit. I don’t think I even liked it as a kid, but it did some sleeper agent shit to me

#scorpy play the Xbox 360 game last night for an ungodly long time and it was a fever dream #I really fuck with the atomic age set design in the movie and I think it’s exceptionally good #I don’t know what it is but it’s more appealing to me than other atomic age design. Maybe it’s all the bubble windows and screens #Controversial opinion I do really like the alien designs too even though it’s pretty homogenous #I have three distinct core memories about the movie and I think it makes me a little nostalgic for it #I’m also fascinated by the fact they had plans for multimedia franchise and a completely died upon release.
