In case anyone wants to relate to this for way to long did I think that the money system in the Tortall universe by Tamora Pierce used weird shaped coins 🤷🏻‍♀️ it was only like 5 years ago that it clicked that no they’re just normal coins like quarters flat with an image on both sides

It’s up there with thinking beka cooper just has jars of dirt in her rooms to make the dirt packets for the spinners that also lives rent free in my head but based off a read through she likely just takes sachets with her when she goes out to make them
