What is the age when we started to care less about our date of birth? When our birthday starts to feel mundane , just another day in this life on earth . To begin with, I never did make a fuss about my birthdays. The greetings of my most loved people were enough for my happiness. I never have wanted celebrations , parties, or gifts.

That was until they threw me the most meaningful birthday, I could ever hope for. There stood Max , Lando, and Daniel with the biggest of grins holding what seems to be an attempt of a birthday cake as they sang to me happy birthday — and then came their present. In the box , 4 smiling faces stared back at me, their facing were shining with unadulterated joy and peace — it reflected true happiness… it was a framed picture of us , in the McDonald’s parking lot, the day when we all first met.

I never in my life would have guessed that the three strangers who met me at my worst would still be around and care enough to celebrate my life. I could never be grateful enough for the light that these three people had shone upon me and guided me to the end of the dark tunnel.

Oh how time quickly goes by , because another year is added to my life . It’s my birthday and now I’ve learned to celebrate it with the people who love me back.

Max Verstappen , The 2 time world driver’s championship winner , had just officially announced his relationship with multi-business owner and Sky Sports Formula 1 photographer Y/N L/N . Both have confirmed their relations on instagram with a sweet and personal post , a few hours after a fan had leaked their attendance to a mutual friend’s concert . And was later on spotted strolling a locally owned flea market in Manchester.

The Dutch Red Bull driver and the Korean born photographer had been already close friends prior to the relationship ; often times within the company of Formula 1 drivers— Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris. The coming together of the couple was a pleasant surprise to the realm of motorsports. As fans continue to anticipate the kind of dynamic these two would bring to the paddock, specially with relation to the 1st driver of the Italian racing team Ferrari — who was linked to L/N before.

Y/N L/N has already been a paddock favorite amongst motorsport fans not only for her close knit friendship with the drivers and some of the team principals , but also for her professionalism on track. Y/N had stated in an interview before that her love of the sport had led her to the opportunity to intern for the Italian racing team, Ferrari — and was later on officially scouted by Sky Sports as one of their Senior Design Directors for their photography and videography sectors .

Moreover, the boom in popularity of Formula 1 in social media has lead teams scrambling for purchase— and the knowledge of Y/N L/N’s ending contract with Sky Sports has been their life line; as several of the racing teams have reportedly been in negotiations with L/N.

Still, even with the flames and barbs of the media , Verstappen and L/N are cool as a cucumber — as the two were spotted celebrating the photographer’s birthday with friends and loved ones before the end of month long formula 1 summer break.

The next Grand Prix is fast approaching. I do not know about you, but I believe that things will be a little more exciting for Formula 1.

It’s been 5 months since I saw Nate, it was on his birthday party and after that I didn’t saw him, we texted and called each other but ever since his documentary was released I was very busy, people wanted to work with me, even Nick asked if I wanted to work for him but I’m not like that, stealing clients from others. So I’m in Europe now, making a video for red bulls rising young star Max Verstappen. “Just be yourself Max.” I said and he smiled towards the camera. “You sure?” I gave him some thumbs up and he starts to do his thing.

I went back to my hotel room and lay down in bed with a big sigh. ‘What a day….’ I grabbed my phone and checked instagram, Nick had posted a picture of himself and Kay, both looking happy at the camera. ‘I miss them…’ I liked the picture and went to Nate’s page, scrolling slowly through his page. I was rushing through the building, praying that I’m not too late for his fight. I flew back home to be there for him as his brother isn’t allowed to be here. I heard his walk out song and I hurried to my seat, close to the ring. “Hey y/n.” Some people greeted me and politely smiled back at them. ‘I made it.’ I sat down next to Cole and greeted him quickly.

His fight was difficult but he won, I was cheering for him and Jake saw me, I waved but he turned his back on me. ‘Rude.’ I quickly texted Nate, hoping he would read it in his locker room. “You’re not joining them?” Cole miller asked me. “No, I’m not with them anymore.” He looked surprised. “Oh, I thought you and Nate were a thing.” A blush formed on my cheeks and I shyly shook my head. “No, I was his videographer, nothing more than that.” “Ahh, that’s a shame, you guys looked good together.” ‘We did?’ “Thanks.” Cole and I went together back to the lobby, he made sure I was safe and sound out of that building. “We should hangout sometime, I like our day at the convention.” “Yeah me too, I really like that.”

1. Which of your fics would you keep the basic plot of but rewrite completely? well you see. I’m working on this novel. and years ago when the idea first came to me in its absolute most bare-bones form, it was in the shape of a homestuck fic that I called Boomslang. I deleted it from AO3 so I could rewrite it, and now I’m something like 17k deep into draft 0.5 and it’s going great. (it doesn’t have very much in common with the original, though.)

7. Your favourite ao3 tag. idk if I have a favourite, I’m not good at picking favourites. I really like the hilariously specific canonical tags though, like the fact that there are tags for inappropriate uses of basically every power system ever, and tags for specific characters being or doing specific things (like “[X] Swears A Lot” and stuff like that).

8. How slow is a slow burn? ahh unfortunately I did just answer this one so instead of repeating myself I’m going to deflect this onto the next question in the list (hope that’s cool):

9. Thoughts on cliffhangers. very good at what they do! easy to overuse, but what isn’t? they make me very nervous as a writer tho. mostly because I don’t trust myself to finish things 😅

17. Past or present tense? Why? I use both! not usually in the same fic tho, not once it’s finished anyway. my first drafts, I write in present tense, bc my first drafts describe the fic’s contents instead of actually writing it out, so that’s a habit from my literary studies. the second draft is sometimes changed to past tense, sometimes not. I mostly go based on vibes. when I was writing With Every Wall Ablaze Around Us, I was writing my notes in present and originally planned to write the fic in past tense, but the poetry I’d written in my notes didn’t work in past, so I went through the whole unfinished fic and changed it to present tense. that was in august I think? or maybe july; either way, pretty early on in the process. (and that one particularly killer line I’d written while the fic was in past tense has niggled at me ever since.)

and, dealer’s choice: 18. First, second, or third person? I’ll read & write in pretty much anything! first person is my least favourite, and for some reason it turns me right off in fanfic (might be ok in fics with first-person source material tho? not sure, haven’t tested). third person is a solid choice, easy to handle, with plenty of flexibility and a polite amount of distance. but second person... ohhh. second person my beloved. I would kiss second person perspective on the mouth. all the intimacy and room for deliberate omissions of first person, but without the tag-along feel of being told someone else’s story, that last layer of distance falls away. second person grabs you by the shirt and pulls you in close and says that’s right, I said you. I’ve been a first- and third-person main for many years, and third is still my go-to for so many things, but second person POV is my favourite.

dude, babe, (yes i’m calling u both), it’s been over a whole year already since we met and formed a wonderful friendship; ik we haven’t spoken in a while but can hopefully invigorate the dry dms 🫶🏼 even tho it’s been some time, ur still counted as one of my closest friends to come out of being in this army life, and our countless conversations about the tannies and life in general always hold a deep place in my heart 🧡 still haven’t forgotten about our mutual love for soju aksjksj so have a drink on me to celebrate; i’ll be having one in ur honor all the way from down under 🥂 

i will say, ur very much missed here, on this site, seeing your hilarious tags and beautiful sets and perhaps you’ll come back one day (to see this letter which i’ll let u know about after posting 🤪), ur limited presence is felt but i hope life is treating u so fucking well and that ur the happiest you’ve ever been bc u absolutely deserve it 😘 when i think of u, it brings back memories of streaming in the soop and run behind in the black swan server; oh what FUN we had during those nights, tho afternoons for me bc timezones suck ass 😭 those hours spent together were so lovely, so sweet and make me smile whenever they pop up in my head; and honestly makes me miss u a lot, and hoping we can make more memories like that in the future ! which leads me to the possible seoul trip next year with kris !! still unsure if ur down for it but if u are, without a doubt, we’ll all be planning it and fingers crossed, meeting in such a place where seven boys brought us together, and get to give u that big hug, to make up for all the days and night we couldn’t 💜
