FIRST “NEST” HIGHLIGHTS ✨

Just for the sake of using this blog like an actual blogging space 💁🏻‍♀️✨ let me tell you about how my first NEST went!!

For those of you that aren’t familiar, NEST is one of the biggest fetish gatherings in North America for us t-word enthusiasts! I’ve known about it since forever ago, and this may it was my first time actually attending. It was: everything I’d hoped it would be (˘▽˘ʃƪ)・ﾟ✧♡ here are some highlights!

This gathering was probably one of the biggest I’ve ever been to in terms of the amount of friends I saw alone! There were pals from our Tumblr community, friends from Japan, everyone from my gathering friend groups, and lots of friends from my local community as well. It was really heaven to just be with all of my favourite people all at once and in one place (˘▽˘ʃƪ)・ﾟ✧♡

The events were REALLY COOL! Definitely a gathering with one of the most comprehensive schedules I’ve ever experienced! I participated in as much as I could, but notably the squid games, auctions, and t-word-theatre (which is a big public t-word show where someone get’s got in front of an audience in a very theatrical way!) was super cool! Having said that…

I GOT KIDNAPPED!! Well, “napped” 😅 don’t worry, no real felonies here hahaha. When I applied to be ‘napped like back in the beginning of the year, I didn’t hear anything back at all about the process of how that was going. Knowing not every applicant ends up getting chosen, I didn’t let myself keep my hopes up. Long story short.. after I excitedly went to the t-word theatre event all pumped to watch someone get got… to my great surprise, that person was gonna be me lmao ‼️😱 I was kinda *taken* from my seat and tied to a chair in front of everyone, then a game show-dating show scenario played out with 3 bachelors behind a curtain answering questions (really funny and witty answers, might I add) that the show host threw their way 😆. Of course, then the host eventually asks the question “our bachelorette loves to laugh, how would you make her laugh?” … and basically I watched as all of them came through the curtain to come get me 😱 one by one…. And then !!! OF COURSE ALL THREE HAD TO COME AT ONCE 😱💀😵!!! And I couldn’t take it right so I was yelling “help meeee” hahaha ya know cause pooOOooOoOor meeeee 🤪😇. And the host was like… “sure I’ll help them” AND JOINED IN ON THE LERS SIDE 💀💀💀! ANYWAYYYY despite how extremely evil that was 😜🥺, it was 10/10 one of the coolest experiences of my life, I got an “I got napped” certificate AND it made me really happy when people approached me later saying they liked my scene (˘▽˘ʃƪ)・ﾟ✧♡ THANK U NEST FOR CHOOSING MEEEE! 🩷

This was the first gathering I been to with a partner and he was beyond lovely and supportive and we didn’t struggle with feeling any kind of restrictions due to each other .. and this means a lot because I intend on going to gatherings for as long as I can and the fact that that won’t interfere with my love life is truly a dream come true for me :)

Oh, and I experienced getting t-worded by one of my most sadistic gal pals in a fully nylon body suit and 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 I think my soul left my body that day lmaoooo RIP ME

Lastly, I want to make up for the late announcement with a few details about his birthday boy card!

The-scary-looking-thing on the top right of Anan is a *Khon mask belonging to a character he is based on: Tossakan (or Thotsakan)✨ I hate drawing it so much that I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy.

The instrument on the bottom right of Anan is called ซออู้ (Saw-Oo). I mentioned in an ask before that he plays that instrument! It is played similar to a cello but on your lap. The sound is also similar to a violin, but more muffled.

There’s a ball of yarn on the bottom left because Anan crochets!🫶

He’s holding a strawberry cake and seems bashful because Charin and Sippy are hyping him up for the photo- they want to see his genuine smile💕

Valentines Day with Muichiro.

Your feet padded along the dark forest floor as you returned to Muichiro’s Mansion. You had been on a mission for several days, and your excitement at being back increased with every footstep.

Once the estate came into view, you were surprised to see dim lighting inside the mansion. You expected Muichiro to be resting or out on a late patrol.

When you walked inside the mansion you were met with the sight of Muichiro waiting patiently at the table.

“You made it back safely!” He exclaimed with a warm smile. “Not that I would have expected any less from you, but I’m glad you made it in time.” He spoke and gestured for you to join him at the table.

“Made it in time?” You asked and glanced at the table. The table was set for dinner for two, and origami flowers decorated the middle of the table.

“Mhm- seems I’m finally not the forgetful one,” Muichiro joked. “Today is Valentine’s Day.”

The days blurred together while you were out on your mission, and you had completely forgotten about the holiday.

“Oh! Happy Valentine's Master Tokito!” You said and finally sat down joining him at the table. “I’m sorry I had no idea it was today. I must have lost track of the days on my mission.”

“Don’t apologize, you completed your mission successfully. That’s all I could have hoped for.” He reassured you.

You nodded accepting his praise and looked over the food on the table, “You made this yourself?” You asked.

“Yes, it’s my favorite dish Furofuki Daikon. I thought it would be nice to share it together,” he answered.

Momentarily stunned for words all you could do was smile and nod. You hadn’t expected Muichiro to go through so much work for you.

“Please try it,” he urged, waiting for you to take a bite before he tried any of his.

You obliged and took a bite. It was better than you imagined- and after such a long journey it tasted heavenly.

“Wow this is amazing Tokito,” you spoke taking another bite.

“I’m glad you think so… it may have taken me a few times to remember how to make it just right,” he giggled. “Oh, before I forget this too-,” he cut off as he reached into his haroi and pulled out a gift. “Here these are for you.” He said handing you the gift.

You grabbed the gift reluctantly overwhelmed by his kindness. It had been this way since he regained his memories, but his fondness for you still took you by surprise.

You inspected the gift realizing they were long socks. “Uh- socks?” You asked smiling confused at him.

“Mhm,” he nodded. “Iguro said he gifted socks to Miss Kanroji once and she really enjoyed them so… do you not like them?” he asked, tilting his head to the side.

“No no!” You said quickly waving your hands. “I love them! They’re perfect- thank you Tokito! This is the most thoughtful Valentine’s Day I’ve ever had.” You spoke.

“Is that so? Then I’ll have to make sure I make the next one even better,” he said smiling.

I was worried I wouldn’t be able to do this since my heart isn’t with Muichiro anymore- but I did my very best and I hope you like it! The artwork you made me is absolutely stunning 😫✨! I just reread the bonus chapter and I'm just, as always, struck by how fucking obvious Gwyn and Azriel's set up is.

✨ He found it already occupied. His shadows had not warned him. It was too late to bank without appearing like he was running, Azriel landed in the ring a few feet from where Gwyn practiced in the chill night, her sword glimmering like ice in the moonlight.

I'm telling you those shadows are going to play wingmen for Az.

✨ His shadows peered over his wings at her. The young priestess smiled--and Azriel thought it might have been directed at his curious shadows.

Does anyone ever really smile at his shadows except for Gwyn 😭

✨ "Happy Solstice," she said, as much a dismissal as it was a holiday blessing. -- He snorted. "Are you kicking me out?" -- Gwyn's teal eyes flashed with alarm. "No! I mean, I don't mind sharing the ring. I just...I know you like to be alone." Her mouth  quirked to the side, crinkling the freckles on her nose. "Is that why you came up here?"

Gwyn really indirectly said he was going to be a brooding ass so let's wish him a happy solstice and let him go and he still teased her back instead of taking the opening she gave him. Also, no one pays enough attention to this detail but SHE KNOWS he likes to be alone 👀 girl is paying close attention to him alright 👀

✨ Sort of. "I forgot something," he reminded her. -- "At two in the morning?" Pure amusement glittered in her stare. Better than the pain and grief he'd spied a moment before. So he offered her a crooked smile. "I can't sleep without my favorite dagger."-- "A comfort to every growing child." -- Azriel's lips twitched.

Gwyn has no filters on I love her 😂😂😂 she really indirectly called his lying ass out.

✨ "How was the party?" Her breath curled in front of her mouth, and one of his shadows darted out to dance with it before twirling back to him. Like it heard some silent music. -- "Fine," he said, and realized a heartbeat later that it wasn’t a socially acceptable answer. "It was nice."   Not much better. So he asked, "Did you and the priestesses have a celebration?"

For a 500+ year old immortal Az you should've been better at this game, but I'm proud of you for at least being self-aware and trying to have a normal conversation. 2/5 on the effort but still appreciated.

✨ She angled her head, hair shining like molten metal. "Do you sing?” -- He blinked. It wasn't every day that people took him by surprise, but..."Why do you ask?" -- "They call you shadowsinger. Is it because you sing?" -- “I am a shadowsinger--it's not a title that someone just made.” -- She shrugged again, irreverently. Az narrowed his eyes, studying her. "Do you, though?" she pressed. "Sing?" -- Azriel couldn't help his soft chuckle. "Yes."

1. Not many people take him by surprise but she did. -- 2. I wouldn't be surprised because it's funny as hell if she asked him because of shadowSINGER -- 3. Azriel taking offense and reaffirming he is, in fact, a SHADOWSINGER. -- 4. Sarah confirmed there will be a scene of him singing, as far as we know Gwyn is likely the only character who knows he does, also the fact that SJM created something common between the two of them and it's that they both sing? -- 5. It's sweet to think that Gwyn wanted to know something about him and asked him about something she herself loves to do, which is sing.

✨ "I blame Cassian for this. He's too busy making eyes at Nesta to notice such mistakes these days." Azriel laughed. "I’ll give you that."  

Gwyn complaining about Nessian and Az is like "I can relate " 😂

✨ Gwyn smiled broadly. "Thank you." -- Azriel dipped his head in a sketch of a bow, something restless settling in him. Even his shadows had calmed. As if content to lounge on his shoulders and watch.  

She smiled at him and both him and his shadows felt calm 🥹 like compare how aloof and depressed he was at the start of his scene with Gwyn to him feeling this just after one conversation with her 😭😭 it's so 😭😭 I love them so fucking much.

✨ Gwyn nodded her farewell, again facing the ribbon. A warrior sizing up an opponent, all traces of that charming irreverence gone. Azriel entered the warmth of the stairwell, and as he descended, he could have sworn a faint, beautiful singing followed him. Could have sworn his shadows sang in answer.

"That charming irreverence" Gwyn is so unapologetic about that irreverence I love her for it -- also, that's a clear, in-your-face, clue about a mating bond. I stand by that and my opinion remains unchanged since I first read the bonus chapter in 2021.

✨ Clotho was smart enough to see through his deflection. She wrote, "I’ll give it to Gwyneth, Tell her a friend left it for her". -- He wouldn't go so far as to call Gwyn a friend, but... "Fine. Thank you."  

I don't really find this alarming when people try to push into my face. It's obvious they're not in love "yet" and Azriel doesn't have any friends outside the IC, he doesn't know how to label it. It's still early to even label it. That "but..." leaves an opening there.

✨ Clotho's pen moved once more. She deserves something as beautiful as this. I thank you for the joy it shall bring to her. -- Something sparked in Azriel's chest, but he only nodded his thanks and left. He could picture it, though, as he ascended the stairs back to the House proper. How Gwyn's teal eyes might light upon seeing the necklace. For whatever reason... he could see it.  -- But Azriel tucked away the thought, consciously erasing the slight smile it brought to his face. Buried the image down deep, where it glowed quietly. -- A thing of secret, lovely beauty.

When Clotho thanked him for the joy the gift wil bring to Gwyn that's when something sparked in him. That's when he started to picture that joy. "For whatever reason" she's likely your mate bro that's why but we'll save that for later. He was aware and conscious enough to erase his smile yet bury the image of Gwyn's joy in his chest. He had a DAMN SMILE on his face while thinking of Gwyn's joy, like, that's so precious 😭 and Clotho is 100% true, she deserves all the joy the world has to offer for her (I just wish it wasn't a necklace meant for someone else). I get the kindness behind the act but it can bite him in the ass if SJM brings it up in the main book.

That's only a teaser for what's to come and that's the purpose of the bonus chapter. I can see why Sarah was more excited for readers to read Azriel's chapter than Feysand's chapter. She knew what she was doing here and what she's setting up. I didn't want to post the earlier scenes since I don't want to deal with people showing up with pitchforks and I don't need to talk about other ships I'm happy and content to gush about my own.

Every time I reread this chapter it just reminds me of how obvious Gwyn and Azriel's set up is and you don't need a pairing to bang or make out to create a set up. We didn't even get much but they are going to be such a fun couple, I need more of funny and easy-going Azriel.

not extra eyes or missing eyes (maybe in the future with different characters 👀) but I do love me some fancy colored eyes!

I’ll answer for the characters from Interwoven:

Kaiden has the Curse, which gives her (normally dark brown) eyes little flecks of gold that become more prominent when her feelings are stronger.

Li Hua and Noha are half-elves, and their elven blood makes their pupils and irises contract and expand under different circumstances.

Aleksi is a half-tiefling, so his pupils are a little thinner and sharper (like a cat’s kinda), and on top of that he has heterochromia! Right eye is medium brown, left is light blue.

Felix is a half-fairy (lotta half-n-halfs here), and so his eyes are a strange pale gray.

Evangeline has dark purple eyes due to her warlock bond and Magic n stuff ya know.

Harper and Mehri have normal human eyes, nothing special there.

Ugh tumblr is being so weird and it seems I'm not the only person who is struggling with it eating their asks. It’s honestly so annoying, idk sometimes they go in and sometimes they don’t. I try to do my best with answering too (sometimes I have an idea and I’ll draw something with it or write and forget about it lol)

And yes! Painter did have access to the internet so I imagine he probably learned a thing or two. I like to think he learned Japanese once Sadao was more acquainted with him and surprised Sadao with it. They were good friends during those ten years after all.

when i came back to tumblr, i never expected to have the experience i’ve had or make the connections & friend’s i’ve made - friends that i consider some of my best friends now.

This was so sweet 😭😭 you’ve always been too kind to me so I’ll share a little snippet from my Alex sickfic:

Alex flinches as the tepid spray of water pours from overhead. “I thought you said you love me. This water is cold .”

“More dramatic than the tabloids, dear,” Henry laughs, accepting Alex’s weight when he rests his aching head on his shoulder. He spends the next few moments swaying them slowly under the shower, working mildly warm water through Alex’s oily strands to soothe him as much as to wash the dirt away. “How long have you been feeling poorly?”

A silence settles between them, a telling one that means Henry’s heart will hurt to hear the answer. Nevertheless, he kisses the crown of Alex’s head before working shampoo through his curls. “You mustn’t run yourself ragged, Alex.”

A sigh washes over Henry’s collarbone and it feels heavy with a figurative weight he’s all to happy to bear in order to love the man that breathes it into his skin.

“I don’t want to let anyone down,” Alex whispers, voice falling off into the echo of the shower spray hitting the tiles. Henry lets it circle the drain, waits until Alex breathes through the emotion it leaves behind, but a steadier breath never comes.

So previously I had done Aria Sapphire. Let’s do her son, Arthur Sapphire. Most facts are probably already available somewhere buuuuuut….. A little sum up of how my favorite current father was doing is always great (he’s a mess).

I’ll go from random to ✨ juicy ✨

Arthur loves playing violin even if it’s been a while since he had time to as a father. He’s been taking classes at the June School of Arts since childhood. Most of his friends come from that violin class. Ericka Martinez (then Lambert), his cousin, also was in the same violin class. (But she’s not as good lol)

He had the soulmate aspiration as a teen and then the serial romantic aspiration as a young adult. (It explains why I played him super messy in relationships hehe.

As a teen it seems he didn’t know what contraception is and his highschool sweetheart Margarita François became pregnant. No one knows, like really NO ONE. Except those two. Margarita decided to get an abortion, she really was overwhelmed and everything was done in hush hush.

Arthur was engaged three times and at the altar twice. His first and second engagements were to Margarita François. The first time was after the pregnancy hush hush thingy but Margarita ended their relationship the first time. Arthur then fooled around, then went back to Margarita but started missing flirting and was asked to put a ring on it by ✨ family pressure ✨ and also Margarita felt ready that time. So he went to the altar and… called off the wedding there. 👀 Third and last engagement (I HOPE) is to Jillian. n_n

Oh and remember when he got married to Jillian? This was super fast. Yeah. He did. Not really want to get married at first but hm…. ✨ family pressure ✨ again. 👀 But like super big pressure, Jillian was invited by his family to live with them. And apparently the dude does not how to say no. (IT ENDED OKAY, he still loves Jillian, but would have definitely preferred a long engagement but my girl wanted her big family)

Ok I hope you like those facts and it gives more insights on who Arthur is. 🙃 (This also explains why I’m always so surprised whenever he’s happy as a father and HOW MUCH he boasts about his family 😭)
