I would love to make a PowerPoint presentation on my most popular fics because I have a strong attachment to them and it gives me serotonin talking about them unfiltered! I can’t promise I will hit the time mark bc knowing me I’d start rambling and we’d be here for an hour 😂

Hey friends! So this holiday season is going to be a bit of a bummer for me (which will be pretty blatantly explained in a personal fix-it fic I plan on writing in December lol....who's ready for some Lumberjack Bucky??), and decided to do a month-long sleepover to ignore my issues in the real world! Yay!!!!

LOL for real though, I do love the holidays and watching Christmas movies and reading cheesy winter-related fics so I thought it would be fun to do this! It'll be a mix of inbox-related shenanigans as well as a writing challenge-ish type thing (aren't I amazing at explaining things? Lol).

Adora. Dude, she has a sword that glows. Plus, she can turn into an eight foot tall lady and I want her on my side. Also we've got the same dumbass energy and I feel like it'd be hella fun

Luz and/or Amity. Bro. Both of them? Unstoppable. One of them? I could literally infodump on Luz about what I think would be jumping out at us and she would respond with the same enthusiasm. Amity? Gay babey. I fucking love her.

Last, Kristoff and/or Anna. I'm. Okay, look, I'd definitely wanna go through a haunted house with either or both of these yahoos because they are goofy but also brave and intelligent. It'd be fun to discuss the spookyness and tell scary stories or crack jokes but if the time comes that a ghost tries to kill me, Anna is coming at it with a cupboard door she tore off the hinges and Kristoff is gonna sit there proud as hell of his wife. I honestly feel like they'd make the greatest best friends to have under any situation, and I love thinking that.

Summary: The morning after their reconcilliation, Robin and Regina discuss their future.

Regina rolled over in bed, not noticing at first that she wasn’t collapsing against Robin’s body. Nearly four years sleeping alone had gotten her used to feeling that way. When she opened her eyes and got her bearings however, she realized where she was: her master bedroom. The mattress was more comfortable than the guest bedroom and there were more blankets as Robin ran colder than she did. She sat up, biting down on her lip. The night before had been amazing, perhaps some of the best sex they ever had.

 Did he not feel that way?

 She leaned over and pulled on his shirt from the night before, ready to go looking. The door opened and she turned to find Robin walking in, a tray in his hands. Her chest collapsed and she suddenly felt very silly.

 “You okay?” He asked, seeing her face.

“Yeah, just didn’t know where you were for a minute.”

“Sorry, figured I’d let you sleep.”

 He pecked her lips and set the tray down on top of her, showing off the contents. The pancakes were a tad burnt and the strawberries were cut up unevenly, but it was the imperfect things that made her smile. She hadn’t married Robin for his cooking abilities. He settled beside her, simply in his boxers.

 “I know I’m not the greatest cook, but figured it was better than the takeout I brought back from the dining hall after our first time.”

 Regina snorted, shaking her head. They had gone back to his suite because he had his own room in it. There was a faint smell of sweat socks axe cologne and cigarettes, all belonging to his roommate. Still, she had stayed until her afternoon class, cuddled up in bed with Robin eating dry scrambled eggs and cold, bitter coffee. At least now, they were in a clean room with semi-better breakfast.

 “For a second there, I thought you ditched me,” she commented, popping a strawberry in her mouth.

“Never.” He looked down at her hesitantly. “Though…we do have some things to discuss.”

“I know.” She played with the fork a bit, before looking up at his eyes. “Like we said, last night, there’s still a lot of stuff to work through in therapy.”

“You want to start seeing Archie as a couple again?”

“Yeah. I think it’ll help us ease into this. At the same time, I think completely acting like a new couple would be a mistake.”

“I agree. I think it’s safe to say we’re back together now, still not ready to get remarried…but…we can’t keep living like we were.”

Regina tilted her head. “Are you inviting me to move back up here full time?”

“If you’d have me.”

She grinned and gave him a small kiss. “Yeah, I will.”

Robin smiled, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles. “Then there’s the matter of the kids.”

“How do we explain this to them?”

“That Mommy and Daddy are back together now. I think they’ll approve, don’t you?”

Regina nodded. “Roland has been so happy with me here, which I wasn’t expecting. Though, I know we still have some things to work through in therapy.”

“Which we’re doing. We’re moving forward now. You were right with what you said when you moved back in, there’s no going backwards and I don’t want to. You’re in my future, Regina and I don’t want you going anywhere.”

“Good, because I never will again.”

 They kissed, this one lasting longer than just a few moments. When they finally pulled apart, it was clear that they were ready for round two. Robin moved to kissing her neck and Regina let out a tiny moan.

“We have to get the kids soon,” she mumbled. “Mary Margaret and David have plans.”

Robin pulled away, a puppy dog look on his face, which got him a swat to the shoulder. “Well, we could always conserve water in the shower,” he said with a wink.

 Regina couldn’t argue there.

After finishing their breakfast and taking an extra long shower together (probably mooting the point of sharing one in the process). They swung by the Nolans to pick the kids up, ignoring the knowing look from Mary Margaret at the summer scarf that was tied around Regina’s neck to cover the love bite that Robin had left the night before. The boys were tired yet exhilarated from their near all-nighter sleepover. Margot was jumping up and down, describing how much fun she had with the dogs. Robin made a mental note that maybe it was time to talk to Regina about getting one for themselves. After their shower they had decided to make it a family day. They took the kids to the local children’s museum, letting them visit each exhibit as many times as they wanted. Robin slid his hand through Regina’s whenever they had their back turned, whispering things to one another.

 It wasn’t until they reached the waterplay room that Regina broached the subject that had clearly been on her mind for quite some time. “I think I want to start studying for the bar exam again.”

Robin raised an eyebrow. “Really?”

“Yeah. I love the work I do as a paralegal, but I miss my old job. I’ve been talking to Artemis Gold lately and he knows of a firm where one of the partners is retiring next year. Would you be okay with all this?”

“Of course I would. I know how much your job meant to you.”

“It’s just…it’s the reason why we were apart for so long.”

“No, the reason we were apart was Zelena West,” Robin corrected. He turned to face her fully and took hold of her hands. “You did a lot of good with what you did. Not every person you’re working against is going to do this.”

“It’d probably help that the firm I’d work for specializes in family law, huh?”

Robin snorted. “Yeah, probably.” He quickly pecked her lips before the kids could see.

 After the museum, they had an early dinner at a local restaurant before taking the kids for ice cream. They walked with their cones, bar Margot who was in her father’s arms. He appreciated that she was still small enough for him to do so, the boys were long past that stage.

 “You two have been acting funny all day,” Roland commented.

Regina gave him a playful look. “That’s a weird way to thank us for how much fun we had.”

“Roland’s right, Mom,” Henry said. “You two have been smiling at each other and making weird little jokes. What’s going on?”

 From the looks in their eyes, Robin could tell that their sons knew what was going on. Margot looked a bit clueless, an eyebrow risen making her look so much like her mother in that moment. He smiled, taking hold of Regina’s hand.

 “Your mother and I are back together,” he said.

Henry and Roland looked cautiously excited. “This isn’t a trick?” Henry asked.

“That’d be a pretty mean trick.”

 The two boys whooped, before hugging each of their parents. Margot looked up at her dad, a bit confused.

 “What does that mean?”

“It means that we’re going to be sleeping in the same room and kissing a lot,” he explained.

A smile grew across her face. “Really?”

“Yes, Peanut. Really.”

 Margot threw her arms around his neck and squeezed, before holding her arms out to Regina who took her, cuddling her tightly. The boys were asking a million questions, confirming that it was actually true. Regina and Robin answered each of them as best as they could, their fingers still entwined with one another.

Theory: The Roommate Situation

Well, I didn’t think I would make an actual post about this but here we are ^^

I was in part prompted - albeit not directly or anything - by @ohmyfairforest who expressed concern about this issue in the comments of another post. So since I do have a coherent theory on the matter (based entirely on wild speculations of course, but still pretty solid as far as wild speculations go I think) which I personally subscribe to, I guessed I might as well share.

It’s a bit different from most theories I’ve seen about this since it doesn’t suggest that anyone else (i.e. BigHit) is keeping them separate for some reason, or that they actually are “secret roommates”, but that there is still a valid reason for that.

I’ll try to cover as much ground in this post as I can since I’m not planning to expand on it, so this might get long but here it goes:

1. The facts that seemingly don’t fit

To recap, the conundrum is such: Even after moving house during a time where their lovebird-levels were at an all-time high, Jimin and Jungkook still aren’t roommates. What’s more, even though most of them have rooms of their own now, Jimin and J-Hope are still sharing. So what gives?

However, before I get to the meat of that, I want to share some other things that always struck me as weird about the situation as a whole, even before they moved:

It's a well-known fact that Jungkook liked to sleep in Jihope's room, right? According to Jimin, almost every night. To be honest, I don't know how inclined I would be to actually believe that, were it not for the fact that neither Jungkook nor J-Hope nor any of the others have ever said anything to the contrary, and especially in Jungkook's case, I'd imagine him eventually going "I don't actually though..." after the, like, fourth time Jimin made that claim. Instead, he always simply gave excuses for why he did it. So we don't really have much reason to doubt that it's true.

What I never understood though is... Jungkook - as the only one - had a single room.

So why, for one, did the others simply accept that the one person among them who had the privilege of an entire room to himself didn't actually sleep in it when I'm sure someone else would have enjoyed that? And for two, assuming Jikook is a thing... why wouldn't they have slept in Jungkook's (undisturbed) room instead?

(Well, I guess the second one is somewhat easy to answer, since Jungkook's room and bed rrreally weren't made for two people - he had a loft bed ffs ^^ )

My previous theory on the matter used to be that perhaps J-Hope would actually go sleep in Jungkook’s room whenever Jungkook slept in theirs, and Jungkook would occupy J-Hope’s bed (effectively making him Jimin’s roommate anyway). What I based this idea on was - for one - the instance where Jungkook thanked J-Hope for letting him crash in his bed (iirc that was also the first time Jimin mentioned that Jungkook sleeps in their room?), and for two, the simple fact that if Jungkook really slept in their room very often - which, again, we have no reason to doubt - then... I mean, I know we like to imagine Jikook cuddling up in Jimin’s bed for days, but even the most in-love couple wouldn’t be able to handle sharing a single-person bed every other night in the long run (and Jimin’s bed wasn’t that big).

However, this entire idea seemed to fall apart a bit when they moved and Jikook still weren’t roommates.

And while other theories popped up, none of them could really explain the somehow weirdest thing about the situation, which wasn’t even so much the fact that Jimin and Jungkook aren’t rooming together, but that Jimin and J-Hope are.

2. The simplest explanation?

Now, I can’t even take credit for this since it was actually my mother who came up with it, but after I had talked to her about all the things that don’t add up, she provided me with the most simple solution that can basically explain all of it instantly, but which I had just never thought of:

“What if it’s for propriety’s sake?”

If we look back just a few decades into our own society, a legally unaffiliated couple officially sharing their closest living quarters was simply not appropriate. So I did some research and apparently, even among young Koreans, only 60% consider it acceptable to just move together like that today.

Before I lose you though, I am aware that

- They are both men (so the “before marriage” part is inherently a moot point)

- They technically already live together

And those certainly are reasons why the thought never crossed my mind probably - when it comes to Jikook I always lose sight of those simple traditional "relationship customs", because I tend to assume that their whole situation is already so out of the ordinary that they wouldn't care about stuff like that. But the thing is, cultural things like those can still be so ingrained that they’d end up adhering to them anyway - possibly want to adhere to them, even. (Similarly to other “typical Korean couple traits” they display.)

At any rate, this might explain not only how it would make perfect sense for them not to want to actually share a room despite being a couple, but also why the others didn’t mind Jungkook constantly “sleeping over” in Jihope’s room (unspoken agreement and all that), why they never slept in Jungkook’s room even though - according to Jungkook - Jimin still came to his room the most, and even why Jimin and J-Hope are still rooming together when the others aren’t:

Because in this scenario, it being J-Hope’s room as well is, in fact, the thing that is granting them propriety.

Or to put it differently, Jimin and Jungkook can have endless “sleepovers”, but couldn’t officially move in together because they are a couple.
