thinking about deaf saiki again and his whole life he thought he was speaking out loud, but he was automatically substituting his telepathy for him when he briefly realizes he can't hear himself. got used to it and can't understand how normal people deal with not knowing how they sound
one day he has a chat with kuusuke
"Why do you only use your telepathy to talk to people?"
"Why wouldn't I? Talking out loud is annoying"
"How so?"
"You have no way to tell what you sound like. I prefer to mentally hear every word I speak."
"...What are you talking about?"
"I dont know how you treat it so normally. Everyone does."
"Kusuo, are you saying you can't hear yourself speak?"
"...Yes? Am I supposed to?"
"...Gimme a minute."
kuusuke realizes then that kusuo might not have been purposely ignoring his voice whenever he wore the telepathy canceler. he actually couldn't hear him
