More sadistic than Bo when it comes to killing, he doesn't care if they are dead or alive when working on them and takes satisfaction in the result of his work

He prefers to work in silence but you can catch him humming now and then some country song or a guilty pleasure pop song from the 80’s( I see you Vince)

I think he partakes in multiple forms of art besides wax work.We see he’s able to paint, draw, but he also  takes pictures, , sews, writes, makes videos, anything artistic he’s learning and keeping up with new techniques.

Since he takes video of the killings at times I think they sell them as snuff films to make extra cash on top of stealing and selling victims stuff. (At least that’s what I thought when I first watched the film anyone else or just me)

Rarely happens but will keep victims that interest him like Bo ,but dispose of them when they get boring  or no longer match up the ideal version of them in his head.

-Does want a lifelong partner, the white wedding and picket fence, kids,  but knows it might be difficult with the line of work he does.

- He can talk but only does when it’s important or to emphasize something. He does have a southern draw like Bo and I imagine his voice to sound similar but raspier, maybe deeper/ quieter from not using it as much.

-like I said earlier you have to really catch his attention and be able to hold it for more than a week, if that happens then he’s obsessed and protective maybe a little too over protective.

Does indeed have a hair care routine I believe this full throttle and no one can can tell me otherwise I'm not listening.

oh anon the lore… the lore is extensive I fear. here’s just a few ways the band has disrespected mick throughout the years… cause i don’t feel like these things should go overlooked tbh.

1. being aggressive towards mick:

as you can see most of this is nikki and tommy… mainly nikki actually. I would like to note: when nikki talks about his time rooming with mick during the shout/theatre of pain days, what he regrets to inform you is that nikki actually forced mick to sleep in the closet. it started when nikki threw a party in their hotel room and mick got annoyed enough to go fall asleep in the closet and then soon enough nikki declared that that was his bed and that that was where he was going to sleep. it got so bad that even doc had to make a choice of either getting a hotel room with one bed or two for them. of course he ended up just getting his own room, most likely after the hair pulling incident. anyways, mick talks about the band literally assaulting him after he got in his relationship with emi. funny thing to point out but, somewhere in the dirt he mentions that he might have slept with the other nasty habits girl donna… which means not only did he treat mick terribly during this time, but he was a hypocrite as well. and i think the band knew he did it too and never punished him like how they punished mick.

2. making gross jokes about his weight/ grossly exaggerated how he looked.

calling him a whale and making weirdly fatphobic comments about a man going through an addiction like that is… a choice. they’ve always had a problem with this though, as tommy has said some weird things about vince and his weight as well.

3. kicking mick out of the recording process of gen swine and replacing his track

I can’t add any more screenshots, so i’ll just take direct quotes from the book instead!

- “So for the first time in our careers, we started to turn against Mick, to think that he was actually the one holding us back because he thought that the blues and classic rock were the only genres of music that mattered.”

as you can see, not only did they gaslight mick into believing he couldn’t contribute to the band anymore, they also replaced all his guitar tracks with corabi. so, (allegedly), you’re not hearing mick at all on that album, you’re hearing john corabi. both mick and john corroborate themselves on that statement.

4. constantly threatening to kick him out.

there’s at least a couple of instances of this. if you really want more evidence of this, I’ll make a separate post cause this is getting really long. all i’ll say is that from the years 1984-1987 the band has threatened to kick out mick and replace him with jake e lee and any other up and coming guitarist. the reason for this was because they thought mick was too old and not attractive enough. bob daisley had to tell them not to do it after they came to him for his opinion. this goes to show they didn’t actually care about how talented he was, like they constantly shoved in our faces the years after these occurrences. they wanted someone young and hot, and they probably felt mick was holding them back (he wasn’t).

so in conclusion, not only did the band rough house him, they also physically assaulted him, openly make fun of his appearance, and slowly kicked him out of his role in the band. it’s a contention between fans on whether or not he even played anything on their last two albums (new tattoo and sola). personally i do believe he managed to get his tone into new tattoo but with the way the band has been treating him the past few years, i don’t think he played a lick on sola. mind you, they’ve treated him like this for 40 years. four decades of this, alongside personal problems, health issues and just being older than them. im not making this to say they were just evil little bastards that never liked him. im saying this because i don’t like this narrative of people wondering why nikki abandoned him. how the guy who got his face tattooed could possibly turn around and shit on him. they’ve done this time and time again. all the gentle petting and loud praise was performative. sure, they’ve all had moments when they were extremely close to each other. that was in the past. they haven’t been close to each other since decade of decadence. that gentleness they portrayed in the resurrection of motley crue was just fear and guilt. i love these guys, which means i have to do the tough job of calling them out on their shit.

The internet wrestling community are so toxic on X, FB and Insta (I don't use tiktok). I understand that you can't please everyone all the time but that goes for everything. I'm referring to the WWE.

All of the whining and complaining about The Rock. The assumption that Naomi/Liv was cancelled for him but they let Tiffany fight Candace. Nia got heat for her finisher too.

1. The Rock is building up the story we've been waiting to see unfold since he came out when Cody and Roman teamed. It's Wrestlemania season, you knew this was coming and being cryptic is actually something that a super villain would do. If he's not spelling it out it's because he wants you talking about it.

2. Here we go again - they are crying women deserve better. There's a Women's Tag Title match scheduled for Raw. The feud has been building, it makes sense to have Naomi and Bianca attacked so the Smackdown match didn't happen. It adds fuel to the fire and is called storytelling. The reason Tiffany and Candace got their match was to solidify the tag match for Elimination Chamber. Which brings me to Nia doing her finisher. She had to do it with caution. She's in street shoes with heels that can affect balance if ropes are slippery but also they are not flat like wrestling boots and can affect her feet if she goes full plummet, not to mention doing damage to Trish if landed like she did on Lyra at Queen of the Ring.

3. Moaning mid card champions are being failed because they are not in the Elimination Chamber matches or have been pinned for people to enter - Bron has a feud starting with AJ. He has had so much given to him he doesn't need more exposure. Shinsuke doesn't fit in with the world champion story at this time. Chelsea Green is entertaining as US champ but has a feud going and wouldn't have the same impact as a world champion, unless she's working like she did when in Luchador Underground. Lyra still isn't ready for world championship matches and I don't feel she should have beaten Dakota Kai but I feel they are testing her and may change their decision on her being champ because she's not had the reaction Chelsea has.

4. Slating Jimmy Uso for having a victory over Drew McIntyre. It makes sense because then Drew hates them more and gives Jimmy a much needed victory. There's a lot of hate towards the Samoan dynasty online - due to jealousy and/or racism because the fans saying this crap are mainly white men (and some women especially on X) who keep saying they miss Vince being in charge. These same people moaned about Damian Priest main eventing Smackdown. They are also complaining about lack of moves from the likes of Jey. I hate to tell you this but John Cena was called 5 Move Cena for a reason. What was Lesnar's moveset? What about Gunther? All wrestlers have a specific moveset and it's not a huge list because they go with what works well for the persona.

5. Booking. As a fan throughout the 80s and 90s I have seen how the Internet is ruining wrestling when fans bitch about booking or decide to target a wrestler with hate. It's had some advantages but remember that the WWE is a business and it works for a specific type of fan. Don't like it, then watch something else. You act like you can do better, but I guarantee your GM mode on WWE 2k24 has more than likely sucked because you don't understand that it is still a business first and foremost.

Warnings: Vincent is kind of a warning himself, some minor Spoilers from the Game Dead Plate, Homophobia of the times, mainly Fluff.

• Let’s start with the basics. What would it be like for someone that Vincent is not only physically attracted to, but could have a relationship with? There are a few options, but I’m going with one in particular.

• First of all, I can’t see Vincent being interested in someone from work, plain and simple, as we’ve seen in several of the interactions between him and Rody, Vince enjoys having power in his interpersonal relationships, generally because he’s somewhat of a narcissist, therefore, a relationship with someone he sees as “inferior” is impossible.

• In order for Vincent and reader to have a relationship, they must have equal conditions, equal respect. It must be someone that Vincent, despite everything, can respect and not see as beneath him or as a simple transaction.

• I like to think that he met reader during his college days, maybe even shortly before his transition.

• Vincent and reader probably have that kind of “friendly rivalry” dynamic during their college days. And I say “friendly” as a way of saying that it was only out of mutual respect that they didn’t burn each other with boiling oil.

• Most likely (if this was pre-surgeries) Reader called himself a male name, dressed in male clothes, etc. So everyone kind of just got used to it (it doesn’t mean they accepted, there are always the teachers who call Reader by his old name, or force him to use women’s equipment. That’s how Vince knows about his “eccentricity”)

• I find the Headcanon that Vincent comes from a wealthy family quite credible, and probably Reader, in order to be able to do what he did, also comes from such a family. We could say that both have that kind of rich-kid rivalry to prove who is REALLY better.

• Let’s say that the fact that Vince saw Reader as a threat at the time further denotes the fact that he recognizes his abilities, and that he is as good as him, someone he has to surpass.

• I don't think their entire college relationship was particularly hostile. Partly because, again, they couldn't afford it, and there was also this weird mutual understanding. At least they didn't make each other's lives miserable when the other was already having a hard time (i.e. reader with his recent surgeries and dealing with the prejudices of being transgender at the time, or when Vince almost got his face burned by a professor).

• Probably after graduation reader and Vincent didn't see each other again until they started working and doing their own businesses. Whether it was something related to catering or something, reader made a name for himself in the kitchen field, even finishing his gender transition by the next time he and Vincent saw each other.

• Which, was at one of Vincent's parties. One of Vince's friends brought reader along (either knowing the history of these two's rivalry and wanting to watch the world burn or just because it would help to have someone with reader's business as an ally).

• Honestly Vincent was more surprised to see Reader fully transitioned than to see him in the first place (he was kind of expecting to see him at some point, given how things went down at college)

• (although he was much more surprised that he now found Reader attractive--)

• In this way, the old rivalry resurfaces somewhat, but in a different way. Now that Reader joins Vincent's group of "friends", it's more like an inside joke, at least now they can both be in the same room without trying to tear each other's pieces apart... well, almost.

• Vincent on the one hand is a jerk, and Reader is someone who never shuts up. So, if one acts, the other does accordingly. Cause and effect. But now there's nothing to really compete with, and they need each other to excel, so…

• Instead of the hostility that used to be there before, there's this air of sexual tension (no one knows which is worse, when they were expecting each other to kill each other at any moment, or now, when they're expecting each other to kiss at any moment).

• If the reader smokes, he and Vincent probably do that thing where they light up cigarettes by putting them VERY close together… that kind of thing.

• They're both attracted to each other, and probably have their more adult moments when they're alone, but I doubt anyone really knows about this. They're both too proud for their own good.

• It's like that "they act like they hate each other, but they really want to fuck each other" trope something like that.

• At least over time it stops being something inherently physical. Slowly but surely.

• With someone like Vincent, it’s really hard to understand him 100%, but considering that reader isn’t too far from his level of… selfishness, let’s say they understand each other pretty well because of that philosophy.

• I feel like it all starts with this selfish foundation for both of them, they both benefit from each other and get benefits FROM THE OTHER, but eventually it gets really personal.

• Before they know it, they know more about each other, what their lives were like, the weird ideas they have (especially Vincent…), and eventually it goes from “I keep you around because you give me something that makes my life easier” to “having you around makes my life easier”

• Obviously this is all behind closed doors, they both understand that things are different for their relationship.

• For everyone else, it's just little things, like the two of them starting to sit together more often, sometimes reader isn't as available as before because of "personal issues", the same with Vincent, sometimes it even seems like there's some reader stuff going on at Vince's house…

• Probably none of Vincent/reader's friends realize the situation until reader, "out of the blue", moves in with Vince. Then the wheels start turning in everyone's heads and they realize, with horror, that they now have to deal with twice of their sass.

• If we go with some general things about the relationship, it's strange and disturbing, but hey, it's Vincent. What did you expect?

• I'll be honest, having a relationship with Vincent is complicated, but if you know certain tricks and his ways, it's actually pretty entertaining, to say the least.

• (Just to clarify, Vincent doesn't feel less attraction/affection for reader because he used to be a woman. If anything, the attraction only showed up when reader transitioned, but that doesn't make it any less valid, okay? Okay)

• It's a constant fight for dominance, even with the good things they do for each other. We already know that canonically Vincent is someone emotionally disinterested, even in a relationship, so he shows support/affection through gifts rather than genuine displays of affection.

• However, if reader tries to give him a gift on his own, he'll probably be confused. He'll obviously accept it, don't get me wrong, but he probably won't want to acknowledge that he appreciates it as much as he REALLY does (and will give a "better" gift in return).

• For obvious reasons of the time, open displays of affection can't be given, so they have to take advantage of the time they have alone. Things like hugging Vincent when he does some paperwork, being able to be more blatantly flirtatious (though, be careful with that, again, Vincent is hard to overwhelm and very quick to counterattack), generally being able to allow himself to be affectionate.

• Vincent isn’t very physical, but he allows this kind of stuff as long as it doesn’t get in the way of his work (ESPECIALLY after a bad day).

• If we take into account the pseudo-canon AUs where Vincent doesn’t kill Manon, but still wants to try unethical methods for his lack of taste, reader will most likely be the one to get him the “ingredients” if you know what I mean (if he isn’t part of the ingredients… JUST A PIECE! Vincent isn’t crazy enough to want to literally eat his boyfriend)

• Although I wouldn’t be surprised if reader encouraged these bad habits because of the co-dependent nature of their relationship. Vincent isn't the one with all the power after all

• Reader is probably feared in the restaurant, precisely because he's like a fucking inside agent, who, if he hears someone being unprofessional, making a mistake, talking too much, he's going to tell on them. Everyone hates him (except Vincent, obviously).

• It's out of the question, Vincent is the one who cooks (unless he's really drunk or sick), and Reader can't really choose dinner, unless it's some important day like his birthday or something.

• For some reason Vincent gives me these mother hen vibes? Like he constantly scolds Reader for being out too late, for not being warm enough, or when he gets sick he scolds him EVEN MORE while giving him medicine with some food he likes (which he made, obviously) or forces him to take days off because otherwise Reader will overwork himself to death. It's somewhere between hostile and loving.

• In general, for anyone else, living with Vincent as a couple would be a confusing, uncomfortable, and miserable nightmare. But for someone like Reader? It's a bizarre dream.

I wouldn't say I'm opposed to Tony Khan bringing Shane McMahon into AEW. But I also can't figure out what benefit Shane can bring to the company.

The big shock of seeing Vince McMahon's legit son showing up in the #2 promotion is somewhat undercut by the fact that WWE already told that story with WCW in 2001. Even "the return of the prodigal son" rehashes Shane's storyline in 2016, somewhat. So the novelty would quickly wear off, aside from lines like "your daddy isn't here to help you." Which wouldn't even really work, because now his daddy isn't in WWE either.

If Shane was known for being a good hand behind-the-scenes, maybe that would work. But I've never heard of him having much of a role in creative or production. As an executive, Shane was mainly important because "everyone knew" he was going to take over WWE someday, whether that was a good idea or not. The fact he never actually inherited the company suggests he couldn't hack it, even as a nepo baby. So I don't know what he brings to a company that already has more powerless EVPs than they need.

Diehard Shane fans will want to see him get into a major feud to set up a return to the ring. But let's be real--the man is 54 years old, and tore his quad thirty seconds into his last match. He can't brawl dirtier than Eddie Kingston, or do a bigger dive than Sammy Guevara, or bump through glass harder than Darby Allin. He can't work like a speedy little brat anymore, but he doesn't have enough matches under his belt to play the wily old veteran.

All that leaves, then, is for Shane to play an on-screen authority figure. I suppose you could do something where Christopher Daniels can barely keep the Young Bucks in check, so Tony Khan brings in a big name to serve as general manager or commissioner or whatever. But it seems ass-backwards for All Elite Wrestling, the antidote to the McMahon's wrestling monopoly, to do a storyline where a McMahon swoops in to save us from the Elite.

In short, I don't think anybody benefits from Shane going to AEW except Shane himself. He probably doesn't want the quad injury to be the end of his story, but WWE isn't interested in bringing him back. So it's easy to imagine him pitching a big retirement tour, and TK listening politely. What's hard to imagine, though, is Tony offering Shane anything close to what he could expect from his father's promotion. But I guess we'll see.

On guns in general: they're tools to him, and he has preferences, but he usually avoids using them actually cause they're not his strong suit. He's more the guy for a stealthy hacker approach and prefers to not kill (unless it is in self-defense or literally his job to assassinate someone). A perfect job to him is one that goes completely silent with him unseen.

He first learned how to properly shoot a gun during basic training after he joined Arasaka. He'd held one in his hands before but never actually fired one.

Like most Arasaka agents he had a Kenshin tech-pistol throughout his career there (seen above: Frank's "Apparition" version of the Kenshin, cause he died in my first playthrough and of course I'm all for collecting all the unique weapons xD). While Vince lost *his* pistol after being sacked, he bought one again shortly after Jackie convinced him to team up as mercs. It's what he's used to, and you can say what you want about Arasaka, but their tech and weapons are efficient and reliable.

In general he has a preference for small and light tech and smart weapons. Being a little tech-nerd, he enjoys tinkering with them and optimizing them to his needs, it calms him down after a stressful day.

That being said... he doesn't actually have much use for Kerry's gun XD It is a very pretty piece, too pretty to keep it in a display case in all fairness, but that's where it sits a lot initially. The gesture of Kerry giving it to him in the context it happened meant a hell lot to him, though. It made him really perk up and be like "oh?", 'cause at the time he had the impression Kerry was mainly interested in spending some time with Johnny again and V was just a means to an end given their situation. But that gesture kinda made him feel very appreciated and seen, beyond just being Johnny's vehicle. So... while he doesn't really get to use Kerry's gun much, he loves it a lot and takes care of it well.

if you have more modern rap suggestions i'd love to hear them! i really dig 90s/00s underground rap but i haven't found a lot of new stuff that scratches that same itch.

Lemme come back to this later because I gotta go light some stuff, but yeah, pretty much that's just kinda how it is. In terms of west coast hip hop, kendrick and earl have been holding down the lyricism department for a good ten years now (side note: absolutely criminal we never got them on the same track, and I think we're well past the point in both their careers where it would even make sense, but they're big fans of each others work lmao). Earls old shit (I'm thinking of Doris mainly, and somewhat I Dont Like Shit I Don't Go Outside) is more grungy and old-school sounding, but also he was young and Odd Future, so there's a lot of misogyny, shock horror ass lyrics with violence against women as a main theme repeatedly (which he's since recanted aggressively and last I saw he mostly makes fun of fans of his earlier music and by extension himself for being like that lmao), his new stuff is more mellow but also less bar heavy (just imo, some people love it even more). Mavi is someone I haven't had the time to get into much but heard recently, and he literally just sounds like 2013 Earl vocally, but with some solid modern bars and production, so that's nice. MIKE is also seemingly pretty earl influenced, but again, haven't got into him myself. They're both east coast tho. Actually calling Earl west coast feels crazy cus he's so heavily DOOM inspired, almost feels like dudes inspired by him being east coast makes more sense lol. Vince Staples is a no-brainer if you haven't heard of him, he's pretty much the exact description of what you're looking for I think. I started with Summertime '06 because that was what he put out when I was getting into hiphop, but his first project Hell Can Wait EP was great too, and he only got better and more artistic from there. I've never been into Jay Rock a ton, but his feature verses on Kendricks shit do a lot for me, and ScHoolboy Q makes mostly just bangers and gang shit but in a fairly old-school kinda way I guess. Not ab soul tho. Everyone on black hippy (the group comprised of those two, Kendrick and him) can get a shoutout except for ab soul. He's ruined too many of my fav songs with wack features lmao.

Freddie Gibbs is another AA rapper that sounds very old school and VERY west coast, but he's actually in the news literally right now about some allegations so maybe fuck him? seems uncertain and also as a fan of old school hip hop you may be less shocked by (especially gang affiliated) rappers being Not Good People, but still, it's 2024 and it'd be nice to bring that energy to hiphop at large.

In east coast terms... Fuck. Who do I even listen to that's east coast lol. Well, Run The Jewels is also a no-brainer, and El-P is NY at least lol. All three of their albums and any of their solo stuff would be great for you. J Cole is to me the epitome of mid, but lots of people who profess an appreciation for the old school seem to like him, so hey. I'd just 2014 Forest Hills Drive as a starting point I think. In the Midwest Chance the Rapper was great, and could be great again. You could start with Acid Rap or 10 Day, move on to Coloring Book, and then just pretend Chance's Big Day doesn't exist like the rest of us. Denzel Curry is solid as hell these days but I've never gotten into a whole project, just singles like Ultimate, RICKY, Walkin, and especially SUMO | ZUMO (iirc I was like "did he just say Zuko lmao" and that's what got me into him). Oh and Your Old Droog is highly spoken of but I haven't gotten into him personally, just no time lol.

Flying Lotus's rap alter ego Captain Murphy is great, I've never listened to one of his full projects tho. Really backpacker ass Kendrick fans have always recommended Ka, specifically Honor Killed the Samurai, to me, but personally I just bounce off it every time. Might be of interest tho. And finally, if you're interested in some more experimental shit, first you should go ask Brett afloweroutofstone (not tagging him but that's literally his brand), but second I'd say CLPPNG by clipping. is a good experimental album with great bars. Also Daveed Diggs was in Hamilton but we just don't talk about that.

So sorry to bug you one more time, but I was dying to hear about what you think the differences and similarities between Drew and Bianca are too! I also would love to know what you see them both doing as careers. I feel like Drew would be such a good sports coach, maybe working to make sure trans kids were included as a tribute to Adam. As for Bianca, I always love that she was academically talented - maybe a teacher?

I'll have to think about Drew and Bianca because as much as I love them, they're two more characters that I rarely break down. Obviously, they come from very different worlds. It's unclear what the Torres family's financial status is, but Mr. Torres is a lawyer and they never seem to struggle with money. And though the specifics of Bianca's background are unclear due to Degrassi's recurring classism problem, the fact she finds herself involved with Vince and Anson and KC is easily able to understand her situation implies she grew up in a poorer area, probably not unlike Zig. Both Drew and Bianca overcompensated for their weaknesses or setbacks by leaning into their more charismatic, confident sides to get attention. But while Drew was a popular jock who could get dates, it seemed like Bianca's reputation resulted in her mostly having sexual encounters and not really being considered girlfriend material. At least not until Drew, but only after he somewhat understood what it was like to be an outcast. Not that it was executed well at all. The whole "gross by association" thing only lasted two seconds and wasn't even consistent with how Drew seemed to be perceived during the previous block of episodes. Bianca is very book smart and naturally gifted at academics. Drew was never a great student. Once Bianca was given the encouragement and the means to view higher learning as a possibility, she jumped at it. It's not stated whether or not Drew planned to go to college, but probably not? Every time we get a hint of Drew's life post high school, his career options are mainly things that don't require a degree. Drew was successful when working at the mall kiosk because he was great at handling the customers. Later, Drew and Dallas made plans to start their own party planning business. The main thing he needed was connections to make that a possibility, which he managed to get from Mr. Hollingsworth. Both are pretty outgoing, though I'd say Drew is the more extroverted of the two. Presumably, both view marriage and a family as their eventual end goals. When I break it down like this, they're actually pretty similar. It's just that their energy and personal interests differ.

Whatever Drew does, he'd want to work with people. I love the idea of Drew becoming a coach, but I see that as more of a side gig. When he and Bianca inevitably had kids, he'd want to be involved in their school stuff and probably be on the school board much like his mother was. As for his day job, I could see him successfully running a party planning business. If he becomes a hit with wealthy people, there's no reason to think he couldn't have that as a career. As for Bianca, I'm torn between her going into law and becoming a social worker. I think she'd want something stable and would do well defending criminals. But at the same time, I could also see Bianca wanting to give back and get involved with troubled kids much like she used to be. It could go either way for me.

My Highlights from Royal Rumble 2024

So it's people throwing season again, soon to be sign pointing season

The Royal Rumble remains perhaps the secondmost highlight of WWE's calendar, mainly as it sets the wheels for Wrestlemania. This one however has a stacked amount of names but an air of distaste given the lawsuit against Vince McMahon, allegations which are horrid and egregious and would justify anyone who sought not to watch the show in response to it.

Still, the PPV was something to check out...albeit not through paid transaction, so let's talk about the positives of the show

Conclusion

Eh, I didn't have as good a time as I'd hoped I'm afraid. A lot of dead space or things not clicking; the US title and UNI title matches were forgettable, the former's finish was awful. Jordynne showing up was a surprise spoiled already but even then it happened last year with Mickie anyway, not much novelty there, plus she eliminated nobody and was felled in a minute against Belair, classic WWE-ism of 'oh this is a top person for you? Well they're not as good as our non-champion'. Pat eliminating himself was a waste of time, and as much as Jade had a good showing like, Nia? Really? We've seen many pick up Nia Jax let's be serious here. Also neither Jimmy or Jey eliminated each other, what was the point of them as the first two? GUNTHER deserved better than being eliminated by Cody yet again and Drew and Punk literally did the same thing before they were eliminated.

I suppose it'd be enjoyable if you were a WWE-only who believes everything commentary says, even when they contradicted themselves on the night when Waller and Theory referenced Luger/Hart's win and then later Cole went 'no rumble has had 2 winners'. But even then the men's rumble was woefully obvious, Cody winning back to back just feels uninspired too, they're literally trying to run it back after dropping the ball last time - except, with no WWE championship anymore Cody can't really finish the story of winning the title his father was robbed of winning now can he? It's just, not surprising, and that's been the theme of this entire event because you saw most of it coming a mile off; Jade, Naomi, Jordynne, Andrade, Cody/Punk final two, Solo interferes in Roman's match, Logan Paul wins beat cheap means it's just meh, the only genuine surprise was Sami coming back and he barely lasted. Also I gotta say that WWE's method of lying to media to try and put people off the scent; 'Ronda Rousey isn't returning in the rumble' (not this year ofc), 'oh Punk talks fell apart he won't return at Survivor Series', 'Cody's not finishing the story this year', it isn't a misdirect it's just fucking lying. And man Punk's credibility continues to drop when he talks about how great it is in the company that he accused of making him mentally ill and then doing a Pedigree in the ring, bad enough that Cody does one as a face after he kept teasing it as a symbol of a heel turn in AEW and then left before he did.

On the plus side at least, Bayley deserved that win.

Watched Queer as Folk for the first time, as I kind of want to make my way through RTD’s back catalogue as I really like Cucumber, years and years, It’s a sin and of course doctor who…

and well Stuart is definitely the most likeable nonce on television, like seriously 15??? Wtf even at the time that must have raised eyebrows it was only 1999 anyway. But most of the outrage of the show at the time was not about Nathan being 15 but just about gay sex being ‘depraved’ in general, Queer as folk got incredibly homophobic responses (I saw some media clips in Russell T Davis: The Doctor and me) Like I get rtd wanted to do teenage gay experience, and that is realistic for some people, but I feel that Stuart should have been called out for it more then he was, Stuart is supposed to come off as morally grey, but not a complete shit bag so maybe they should of made Nathan 17 instead or even 16 (For those who don’t know age of consent in the uk is 16 but rather homophobicly, until recently, the age of consent for gay men was 18 even though it was 16 for heterosexual sex) But I did enjoy the show overall, and whatever you think of Stuart, Aiden Gillen was incredible in the role, also Vince dumping his Australian boyfriend because he didn’t know all the names of the doctor who’s was very funny. I liked the ending with Vince and Stuart and giving Nathan the speech but the scene in America with the gun was a tad ott, but that’s generally Davis’ style.

Bonus note: There was a line in the first episode that really confused me, Vince said “It used to be 70s night now it’s 90s night, that made me feel old” any other context that sentence would make sense but it was literally 1999, surely all nights that play modern music were 90s night, music that came out after 1999 literally didn’t exist, that would be like having a 2020s night today. I guess it was a joke but it was one that didn’t make sense, dumb of me to concentrate on a throwaway line but I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Oh wait writing about Vince’s first line made me think about one of Stuart’s where he talks about how he lost his virginity to his PE teacher when he was 12! He mainly talks about like he’s bragging but he does say ‘I must have been terrified’ almost in a jokey way but still… Russell T Davis is a good and very nuance writer so I think Stuart being sexually abused at 12 (even though he clearly doesn’t see it as sexual abuse he sees it as consensual) is connected to him sleeping with a 15 year old. I don’t think it’s meant to be in a ‘those who are abused as kids grow up to abuse others’ kind of way, I don’t think Stuart and Nathan’s ‘relationship’ was meant to be seen as abusive, problematic, but not abusive. Stuart isn’t attracted to very young men particularly, he sleeps with a large variety of men, he actively tries to sleep with as many men as possible, and a large variety of men, he slept with Nathan because he was just another notch on the belt (and good looking) and seen as he was 12 when he lost his virginity and was going to the clubs and having one night stands at 16, only a year older than Nathan, he generally doesn’t see much wrong with it other then it being taboo, but he’s been told all his life that being gay is taboo in general, he just thinks those who take issue with him sleeping with a 15yo are prudish or don’t understand the gay male experience (I am in no way saying sleeping with underage boys is part of the gay experience, I’m just trying to get into the head of Stuart and what he thinks)

But maybe Vince wouldn’t appreciate it if he did, the last time he talked to his boss about changing his appearance Mcmahon had blown him off saying that the reason why people liked to watch him was because he looked young. He let out a heavy sigh. Yeah, young and weak.

“What’s bothering you Kid?�� Sean startled at Scott’s rough voice, he had forgotten he was sharing the room with the older man. “Nothing, just thinking.” Scott hummed as he got closer, wrapping his strong arms across Sean’s middle and resting his chin on Kid’s shoulder. They stared at each other through the mirror, none of them moving. “If it was nothing you wouldn’t be frowning.” Scotty started to leave small kisses on Sean’s neck as a way of coxing a response from the younger man. Sean let out a slight giggle when Scott’s stubbled chin rubbed against a particularly sensitive spot on his neck.

Scott had a way of calming Sean and making him feel better that should be commended. “I was just thinking about my looks, you know… I just don’t think I look good for a wrestler… is all.” Scotty stopped his trail of kisses and looked at Kid through the mirror once again. Sean lowered his eyes, not bearing to keep eye contact with Scott. It was a stupid reason to be sad after all. The older man gently grabbed Sean’s face and angled it so that they were once again looking at each other’s eyes. Scott's intense stare was making Sean a little nervous, maybe he shouldn’t have told the truth…

“I see.” Scott replied with a thoughtful voice. “Can you tell me what you think is wrong with the way you look?” The older man said, nuzzling the sensitive spot behind Sean’s ear, drawing a moan from the younger wrestler. Kid closed his eyes and started to open his mouth to reply, but Scott stopped him. “Tsk, tsk, I want you to keep looking in the mirror as you tell me. Can you do that for me?” Kid nodded his head, Scott tsked once again. “Be a good boy and use your words.” Kid gulped, his arousal growing by the second. “Yes, I… I can do it.”

“Good, now go on.” Kid breathed in deeply, Scott had started to gently stroke his abdomen which was making it really hard to concentrate. “I… my arms, they are really thin and...” Sean’s explanation was cut off by him moaning, Scott had taken his biceps and started to kiss them, first one arm then the other. And Sean was magnetized by the view in the mirror and the sensation of the older man’s lips on him. “What else?” Scott asked, still caressing Sean’s arms. “My… fuck… my face…” Scott kissed his cheek “What about it?” “It doesn’t look mainly…” Another moan. “Maybe I should grow a beard?” Scott started to kiss and nibble at Sean’s jaw “It would look really hot… But I also like how you look now.” 

“Yeah?” Scotty hummed. “Yeah I like it very much.” Sean was trembling now, watching Scott trail him with kisses was driving away all his worries. “My stomach too… it’s not as defined…” Sean managed to get out through moans. As expected Scotty's attention then shifted to his abdomen, he rubbed his large hands over Kid’s stomach and his sides, trailing his fingers over each one of  Sean’s ribs. “Um… What about your chest?” Sean sighted as he answered. “Yeah there too.” And Scott started to grope his pecs and pinch his nipples. ah yes… i’ve almost forgotten valentine is yet to be upon us. putting aside my feelings of that “holiday,” i like to imagine my old man to be an old school romantic… so i’ll immediately indulge in this one!

sharon would of course be happy about it. he would usually try to save up enough money to buy her something nice like flowers, candy, a bottle of wine… anything he can get his hands on. she doesn’t really care if it’s nothing big cause she knows he’s almost always strapped for cash. would also be extremely funny if she also got him something (even though he constantly says she doesn’t need to get him anything). she’d ultimately be a bit flustered, but very grateful either way.

mick would probably get a couple of the guys candy and like a card (that just says “you guys rock” very emotional and heartfelt there mick… of course) but he doesn’t get harry a single thing and if he jokingly asks about it mick just hisses at him and moves on. the guys would be a bit surprised, mainly because this would be the first time mick actually acknowledged the day altogether… but also because mick seemed very sincere about the card and everything. they laugh it off and thank him, but secretly they decided to do something for him next year.

and our beloved crue… he’d buy them cheap valentines chocolates and throw it on the coffee table in the motley living room and call it a day. if anyone asks he just tells them they were on sale. tommy makes a joke about how much the old man loves them and mick just turns around and tells them he’d sell all of them for one potato chip and walk away. mick is such a tsundere when it comes to the Crüe, he never wants to tell them how much they mean to him. they all figure it out later down the line, but now all they can think is “maybe he did just buy them cause they were on sale!”

now, if sharon were to buy him something for valentines day, he’d probably blush and tell her she didn’t have to do it. maybe it’s something he really needed, or maybe it’s just something really simple, like his favourite candy. whatever it is, he can tell she really wanted to gift him something as well and it kinda embarrasses him. he’s never had someone do something so simple but so special for him so he doesn’t really know what to do. all he can do is just thank her and hug her.

whitehorse on the other hand, would probably do something extravagant. they all save up money to buy him a guitar he’d had his eyes on for a while. mick is shocked beyond belief and he can’t stop reminding them that it isn’t even his birthday yet. none of them care and they practically throw the guitar into his hands and refuse all his efforts to give it back to them so they can return it. of course the guy doesn’t think he deserves said guitar, but the band isn’t going to make that judgement for him.

and lastly… the Crüe would try to get him something nice. nikki proposes they steal something, like an amp. tommy… doesn’t want to go to jail, so he suggests they hand make something, like a card. vince thinks that’s lame and thinks they should just buy him chocolates, like the old man did for them the year before. no one can figure out a good plan, so they all decide to do their own thing. nikki… actually steals said amp. tommy makes him a card, complete with diy pop-outs that contain photos of him and the rest of the band (but mostly photos of him and tommy), and a small bag of candy he bought cause he thought just the card alone would be lame. vince comes back to the motley house with a cheap box of chocolates and a store bought card that has “two year anniversary” scratches out and replaced (with pen) with “one year band anniversary.” they present all their gifts to mick who can’t help but roll his eyes and laugh at their crude attempts at valentines day gifts. he still thanks them… though he takes nikki aside and asks him if he actually bought the amp. also i think the rest of the band would get upset that tommy filled his diy polaroid project with pics of him and like two pics of the rest of the band.

out of any horror movie you’ve seen with monster villains which one would you say has the best design out of any of them (and the term monster that i’m using is any type of creature that doesn’t resemble a human outside of walking on two legs)

I hope you weren't expecting a short answer because boy do I have several. And since I'm a slut for practical effects, the majority of these are done practically. Strap in, because here we go.

First up are the Killer Klowns from Killer Klowns from Outer Space!

These funky fellas are from an underrated horror classic that's such a fun watch oh my god it is so off the walls. They were achieved with puppets and animatronics that were designed by the legendary Chiodo Brothers, with the animatronics being built by Dwight Roberts. Even though this is often considered a B-movie, the design and mechanics are genuinely so incredible and are so overlooked in my opinion. They're creepy as all getout, and are honestly pretty fuckin terrifying to watch. Fuck Pennywise (not really, Tim Curry's Pennywise is fantastic), these boys were the og horror movie clowns.

Next, the Tarman from Return of the Living Dead

Believe it or not, this movie is where the idea of zombies eating brains comes from. It also doesn't get that much attention nowadays, so I'm happy to give it some well-deserved recognition. The suit was designed by production designer Bill Stout, built by effects artist Bill Munns, and and worn by the 6'2 actor/puppeteer Allen Trautman. To achieve the melting flesh look, hot melted vinyl was poured onto sheets of aluminum foil and then attached it to the suit in layers, finishing things off by covering it in goo before each take.

The Cenobites from Hellraiser are up next!

I'll only be talking about the og gang here, but there are several newer Cenobites that also have some damn fine designs (haven't seen the 2022 film but holy hell I love those designs). I could go on and on about the practical effects in this movie, especially Frank Cotton's resurrection because oh my fucking god the effects in that scene are beautiful, but I'll keep my focus on these fine freaks. We have the Lead Cenobite aka Pinhead (Doug Bradley), Female Cenobite aka Deepthroat (Grace Kirby), Butterball (Simon Bamford), and Chatterer (Nicholas Vince) who were designed by Clive Barker himself and lead make-up artist Bob Keen, and were brought to life by the make-up team at Image Animation and costume designer Jane Wildgoose. I also want to call to attention to Frank (Cotton) the Monster, who was played by Oliver Smith, because the various stages of reconstruction are genuinely fantastic.

Up next on the roster, The Moder from The Ritual

She's the first of only two mainly CGI monsters that I have on this list, but I fell in love with her design the second I saw her. She was created by director David Bruckner and concept artist Keith Tompson who took inspiration from Norse mythology, specifically a Jötnar clan of giants that were known as shape-shifters that sometimes combined human and animal qualities. This quote from Bruckner honestly sums up my feelings on the Moder's vibes perfectly: "How would you obfuscate the difference between animal and human, and how could an animal form read with a human intelligence?” Although she is primarily animated with CGI, a physical model for reference and some prosthetics were made courtesy of Russell Efx for when the Moder interacted with the actors. The Moder is a fuckin queen in my book <3

Next up is another eldritch queen, Jean Jacket from Nope

JJ is the only other CGI monster on this list, but she's Jean fuckin Jacket just LOOK at her (ironically). The plot twist of Jean Jacket being the alien itself and not the spaceship was such a wonderful one; I can still remember the audible "oh shit" I let out when it was revealed. She was designed by Peele and his team with the help of Caltech professor John O. Dabiri and was based on various sea creatures (primarily a jellyfish) in the way she moves and eats her prey, with other inspirations being the 10th Angel from Neon Genesis Evangelion, biblical descriptions of angels, Robert Mapplethorpe's orchid photographs, and apparently Marilyn Monroe's dress. Guillaume Rocheron worked with the team for JJ's CGI as well as for the practical effect of the dust whenever JJ flies too close to the ground. A fun fact I also love about the creation of Jean Jacket is that researcher Kelsi Rutledge actually created a scientific manuscript for JJ that would hold up to academic standards. It has everything from details about JJ's anatomy and behavior to a goddamn scientific name (Occulonimbus edoequus).

This one is a recent hyperfixation of mine, but it's one I love dearly: the Graboids from Tremors!

Thank you Zoran Gvojic for introducing me to this beautiful film; I couldn't be more grateful. The graboids were designed by Tom Woodruff Jr and Alec Gillis and this film was actually the first one their company Amalgamated Dynamics worked on. The design was based off of snapping turtles, slugs, and rhinos, and were completely done with practical effects in the first film (although CGI with some practical effects would be used to varying levels in the later films). Since the graboids were so large, quarter scale models were seamlessly blended with full scale ones in order to get all of the shots they wanted, as well as a mixture of animatronics and puppets. Tom Woodruff Jr actually puppeteered the full sized graboid named Stumpy from underground, with only an oxygen tank and flashlight down there with him. What a fucking king.

John Carpenter's The Thing, my beloved!!!!!!!!

To say that I adore The Thing and its creature designs is the understatement of the century. My partner can attest that I am completely feral about this movie I love it so much. It's thanks to special effects artist Rob Bottin that we were blessed with these absolutely incredible designs, which were made with latex and foam rubber which were then covered in creamed corn, strawberry jam, mayo, and KY Jelly. Bottin spent 10 days with Norris's actor with Charles Hallahan creating different torsos, facial expressions, and even body hair patterns for Norris's transformation. Fake arms were created with wax bones, gelatin flesh, and rubber veins and hydraulic jaws were made to rip a torso in half. This movie is full of marionettes, prosthetics, hydraulics, and puppetry, and if I had to choose my favorite horror movie I would choose this movie

Discerning God’s Will | 1 Samuel 6:7-12

Are you trying to discern what God wants you to do?

Welcome to the Daily Devo. I am Vince Miller.

This week, we are reading 1 Samuel 6. I've titled this chapter "From Confusion to Clarity."

In chapter 6, the Philistines have had enough of the Ark of God. Since capturing the Ark seven months ago, they have been tortured with the Black Plague and severe hemorrhoids. Some pagan priests devised a plan to rid themselves of the Ark, and they decided to try this unusual experiment with a couple of cows. Here is how this plays out in verses 7-12:

Now then, take and prepare a new cart and two milk cows on which there has never come a yoke, and yoke the cows to the cart, but take their calves home, away from them. And take the ark of the Lord and place it on the cart and put in a box at its side the figures of gold, which you are returning to him as a guilt offering. Then send it off and let it go its way and watch. If it goes up on the way to its own land, to Beth-shemesh, then it is he who has done us this great harm, but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that struck us; it happened to us by coincidence.” The men did so, and took two milk cows and yoked them to the cart and shut up their calves at home. And they put the ark of the Lord on the cart and the box with the golden mice and the images of their tumors. And the cows went straight in the direction of Beth-shemesh along one highway, lowing as they went. They turned neither to the right nor to the left, and the lords of the Philistines went after them as far as the border of Beth-shemesh. — 1 Samuel 6:7-12

Test It

For some reason, after seven months of torture, the Philistines are still unsure if God was behind the disease and pestilence that had struck their land. It had poisoned people, weakened wealth, and created conflict among their people. Yet still, the five kings of Philistine wonder if this is just a coincidence or if it is the God of the Ark. So they devise a plan to deploy a cart that will carry the ark, pulled by milk cows, to test and see if the God of the Ark takes it home.

Milk It

The pagan priests decided to use milk cows, not draft animals. Typical draft animals in their day were castrated oxen mainly because they were strong, steady, and orderly. Milk cows would not be the choice, mostly because they were tribal and protective mothers who primarily produced milk. Strapping them to a cart, freshly separated from their young, was a remedy for disaster. But we see they respond unexpectedly. They head directly for the closest Israel territory, lowing as if they were being called and guided to their home. This was highly unusual given all the factors that could have gone awry.

Discern It

God, by nature of his supreme authority, is always "leading the cart" of his creation. Yet there are times in our lives when his leading is more difficult to discern. When it is difficult, we will often look for his leading in and through the circumstances of this life. We look for his move so we can determine our move. We are trying to discern his general revelation, or how he reveals himself to us through the natural world and human experience.

General revelation has a whole lot to say about God. The apostle Paul clarifies this in Romans 1:19-20:

For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. — Romans 1:19-20

Thus, through general revelation, we, like the Philistines, are without excuse. God demonstrates through creation that he exists. But we don't just have a general revelation. We have more specific revelations. God gave us Jesus, Scripture, and the Spirit. He also gave us a means to talk with him in prayer and a means to hear of him through the wisdom of other believers. When it comes to discerning God's leading, we have all kinds of resources at our disposal daily and all the time.

Seek It

So, if you need direction today, you could look merely to general revelation. Or, if you don't want to wait through seven months of torment and track down a couple of milk cows, you could turn to the resources and tools God has already given you. But I will leave it up to you.

Father, help me discern Your will clearly amidst life's uncertainties, relying on Your guidance through Scripture, prayer, and the wisdom of others. Strengthen my faith to trust in Your leading with confidence and obedience. Amen.

Our Hearts Collide - Chapter 22 - Part 1

Despite this morning's fiasco in the bathroom and the following cuddling and kiss session, we still managed to head into the kitchen before Xavier and Sam.

I tried not to think too far into it while they emerged from the stairs, pulling up a seat next to us for breakfast.

Loreta went to the back to retrieve some food for them as Simon greeted them.

"Morning," I echoed, watching Xavier avoid eye contact, something he always did when he was in trouble.

"Good morning," he mumbled under his breath.

"How was the meeting?" Simon said with a smirk.

Sam smiled.

"Great."

Loreta returned with two plates, while another one of her workers brought a couple of glasses for the juice pitcher at the table.

"Enjoy, Alpha," the timid young girl said, handing Xavier the utensils.

"Thanks, Mae," he told her.

Xavier was extremely quiet this morning, only making last night's sleeping arrangement more damning.

I nudged his foot under the table and cleared my throat.

Both Sam and Simon turned their attention toward us but I waited for Xavier to look up.

"You didn't go home last night."

He pursed his lips.

"This is home."

"I meant your apartment."

I gave him a droll look.

"You hardly ever sleep at the pack-house."

"As I said," he said slowly, glancing at Sam.

"We had pack business to discuss."

"All night?" Simon quipped.

Xavier grimaced.

"Well, no..."

"You both slept in the office?"

I glanced between the two of them.

Sam kept his mouth shut but couldn't keep a straight face to save his life. Xavier scoffed.

"We didn't do anything. I swear..." his words were muffled as he buried his face in his hands.

Sam laughed nervously.

"We were discussing a few things then crashed at the table."

Simon narrowed his eyes.

"Why do I find that hard to believe?"

"I swear, nothing happened," Xavier said before glaring at me.

"And you two? You two were up late too. Did you two do anything, hmm?"

"No," I told him.

"Not what you're thinking, anyway."

Xavier hummed in disbelief.

"Whatever, can't believe I'm being attacked at breakfast."

I punched his arm playfully.

"What? It's not like I'd be upset if you were doing something last night."

'As your older brother, it's probably my responsibility to say to be safe about it,' I mind-linked him, amused at the bright blush that flushed his face.

"You asshole."

He kicked my shin.

'It's not like that. And even if it were...'

He glanced at Simon.

'I'd probably beat you to it. It's been what, twenty years?'

'Quit that, you know it's different.'

He rolled his eyes before picking at his food.

Sam had already finished his plate, while Simon still picked the last bit of it left.

Xavier had always eaten slowly for meals, mainly because of his inability to keep quiet.

I honestly felt bad for Sam if they were to or were already dating, there'd never be a calm moment with Xavier around.

If I thought Simon was extremely patient with me, I only hoped Sam was twice that for Xavier.

Sam glanced down at his watch before standing up.

"Well, I probably should stop by the clinic. I'd love to stay and catch up but the ladies would tell me I owe them lunch for the week if I keep showing up late."

Simon laughed.

"Maybe you should consider pushing your hours later at this rate."

"I wish," Sam said as he put his plate away.

Mae had taken it from him with a bow, scuttling away as Sam thanked her.

Finally finishing the last morsels on his plate, Xavier's eyes followed Sam.

"I can drop you off if you'd like. I should probably go grocery shopping. Lilah ate all of Jonah's cookies the other day and Grant keeps stealing all my ramen packs."

Simon shook his head.

"You can't just live off of ramen. At least buy some chicken or something."

"I have chicken nuggets in the freezer."

"Yeah," Simon said.

"The dinosaur ones?"

"They're the best ones," Xavier said, crossing his arms.

"And it's easy to make. Grant showed me how to use the toaster oven."

Pinching the bridge of my nose, I looked up at him.

"You can't be serious. At least I can do better."

"Barely," Simon remarked.

Sam and Xavier laughed as I frowned. I reached over to nudge his hand with my finger.

"Oh, come on, we made carbonara yesterday, Xavier couldn't do that."

He shrugged before placing his hand atop mine.

"Fine, definitely better. At this point, I should make you three pay me to teach you the cooking basics."

"That's not fair," Xavier cried, pointing a finger in my direction.

"He's got other ways to pay you."

My mouth gaped as it dawned on me what he meant.

Simon scoffed.

"It was a joke, Xavier. I wouldn't make you pay."

'What was that about?'

I mind-linked Xavier.

'Am I wrong?' was his sharp reply.

Sam cleared his throat.

"Well, I should get going. I'll see you all later?"

Simon nodded.

"Bye. Say hello to the girls for me."

"Will do. Xavier, are you ready?"

Xavier hugged Simon before glaring at me.

"Stay safe," I told him, smirking as Xavier's mouth hung open.

'Or be safe about it, would you?'

When Sam and Simon weren't looking, Xavier stuck a middle finger at me.

'Rude much.'

'You started it.'

'Nu-uh'.

'Whatever, enjoy your date.'

There was a pause before he mind-linked...

'Not a date.'

'But you wish it was?'

Another pause.

'Whatever.'
