His thumb grazed her clit, just enough to send a jolt of electricity through her body. She thrashed under him, trying to bring him close but Jude didnât budge an inch. Too strong for her.
âJustâŠ.pleaseâŠjust take me. Iâll do anything.â
âAnything?â
His face was downright perverted now. Predatory.
âAlmostâŠalmost anything.â
Given his escapades, she couldnât give him a blanket go ahead. God knows what all he would have done, what all he would make her do.
âAlmost anything?â
He whispered in that silky, husky voice. Sending shivers down her back.
His thumb pressed on her clit again, but he quickly removed the friction that she desperately needed. She wanted to cry. She was ready to beg if thatâs what it took.
âW-what..what do you want?â
âSay youâre mine.â
âI AM YOURS. How thick are you to not get that still?â
âSay you want me.â
âI want you. I NEED you. Oh god, Jude.â
âSay youâll make it up to me all weekend?â
She blinked at him in confusion.
âOh has someone already forgotten what she did? Rather what she didnât do? I havenât. And Iâm gonna lock you up in my house till Monday morning. Just you & me. Youâll make it up to me ALL WEEKEND, day & night. Clear?â
âY-yes.â
âCanât hear you.â
âYES.â
âYouâll be a good girl for me?â
âYES.â
He smiled a mischievous, victorious smile while settling between her legs again, spreading them wide. She shuddered when he kissed up her thighs, leaving a wet trail. His hot breath on her core. When his tongue touched her folds, she screamed out.

Would Marvolo ever let MC take care of him in a way that wasnât when he is sick or inherently sexual? Like just got a massive amount of tension in his back that needs addressing, desperately needs a bath but heâs so perpetually exhausted he canât lift a hand to do it himself? Since we are finally starting to see him letting her in more it just had me thinking what levels of comfortability heâd have with the more day to day caretaking since he seems extremely independent and prefers the caregiving role instead of giving it to another
What sort of like more domestic life thatâs not sexual would he enjoy or allow?
Interesting question! I'd be happy to answer it đđ
Marvolo HC's
General domestic care and comfortability, Split up with little drabbles đ
Marvolo tries not to complain about things to MC because he doesn't wish to bother her with them, but he will at times. It totally depends. He's definitely not one to like feeling vulnerable in front of her, in ANY kind of way, no matter how small of an issue it is, and it's still something he's REALLY trying to get used to.
Marvolo: *rolling his shoulder as they're relaxing together*
MC: Are you ok?
Marvolo: Hm? Oh..Yes, I'm fine.
MC: Is your shoulder hurting?
Marvolo: No, no, I'm fine.
MC: *sits up in the bed* Marvolo, sit up.
Marvolo: Don't fuss over me *small frown* I'm fine.
MC: Sit up!
Marvolo: *sighs and sits up*
MC: *feeling his shoulder and shoulder blade* Ooh yeah, you've got a knot.
Marvolo: I already knew that *small chuckle*
MC: Want me to get rid of it?
Marvolo: ...You can do that?
MC: By massaging it, yeah *smiles*
Marvolo: I..Well..I suppose. Sure. *Clears his throat with a small smile* Thank you..
Before MC, Marvolo had never had a romantic partnership with someone, so someone who loves him wanting to do anything for him was a completely new and bizarre concept to him, I mean, he always HAD people willing to do things for him, but by his demand usually, not a love, off their own back, even small things.
Marvolo: *walks into his room after a session at the Den* (??) *narrows his eyes* What's that smell? It's nice..
MC: a candle *sweet grin* I also cleaned up your room a little, organised some things, cleaned out Rereks vivarium, put fresh bedding on the bed, you know *smiles*
Marvolo: ...What did I do?
MC: What do you mean?
Marvolo: Well, why would you do that for me?
MC: I wanted you to come home to a nice fresh environment *smiles*
Marvolo: ....Why?
MC: ...Because I love you?
Marvolo: Oh..*smiles* Well.. How kind.. Thank you, babe.
MC also loves to groom him, and he knows this and finds it so odd and uncomfortable, but it makes her happy, so he allows it, as much as he hates being groomed đ€
Marvolo: Right, I'm going to the Den, I'll be back later *walks over to her and leans down to kiss her*
MC: *doesn't let him kiss her for a moment*
Marvolo: (?!) *confused expression*
MC: *starts sorting out his hair*
Marvolo: ...What are you doing?
MC: Making your hair nice and presentable *smiles*
Marvolo: *wicked little grin* I'm cutting up bodies, and fighting tonight MC..Corpses and other Dark wizards don't give a fuck about my hair..
MC: Well..Still..I like making you look handsome *boops his nose*
Marvolo: *crinkles his nose for a moment* ...Fair enough *grins* Can I have my kiss now, please?
Tending to his wounds is another thing he will allow her to do, though he'd much rather handle it himself, but deep down, he likes it.
MC: *washing away the blood around a wound on his chest*
Marvolo: *small hiss*
MC: Sorry.
Marvolo: No No, its OK.
MC: *applying ointment* This should heal up fine hopefully *sweet grin*
Marvolo: *giving her a endearing smile*
MC: ..What? *smiles back*
Marvolo: *taking her hand and kissing it* Thank you..
His level of general comfort around her grows by the day, there's still some things he'd rather not involve her with, mainly his mental health, and his childhood, talking about deeprooted things with her is something he's VERY uncomfortable with. But one day, hopefully, he will open up completely.
Marvolo: *wakes up from a rare, intense trauma nightmare and sits up harshly*
MC: (?!) Are you alright?
Marvolo: (?!) Go back to sleep, sorry if I woke you *sits on the edge of the bed and rubs his face*
MC: Did you..Have a nightmare?
Marvolo: ...No.
MC: Yes you did, don't lie to me.
Marvolo: *looks over his shoulder at her* MC. Please.
MC: Do you want to talk about it?
Marvolo: *thinks for a moment, wanting to tell her, but won't* No.
MC: OK, well..I won't press you..But I'm here if you do ever want to talk about thing's *smiles*
Marvolo: .......*lays back down and turns her around so her back is facing him, pulling her in for a spoon as he holds her, kissing her shoulder* I... Appreciate that...I really do.
MC: No problem *snuggles back into him with a smile on her face*

Hey hun! Here's the ask.
It was one where the reader feels kind of insecure because Argyle never try anything slightly more sexual and so she overthinks it until either he asks her what's wrong or she actually asks him.
Essentially because he seems someone who's very chill about anything sexual related
OMG YEEEES đ„ș I love this so much, also please don't hate me, Steve is definitely coming up later, this was supposed to be a dialogue but it got too long đŹ Warnings: mentions of sex and weed, also do not attack me for bashing Star Wars, this is from HIMYM and I thought it would be funny and I see Argyle as Marshall so, calm down hahaha Disclaimer: I don't own Stranger Things đ gifs arenât mine đ
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Let's Talk About Sex
You were currently straddling your boyfriend, heavily making out after smoking some Purple Palm Tree Delight. As the kiss got deeper you started moving back and forth on him, rubbing yourself against his groin, feeling shivers down your entire body and right to your core. But then, he pushed you away. Like he always did.
âWhoa, honey, slow downâ Argyle chuckled as you continued to trail kisses down his neck and he grabbed what was left of the joint on his left.
âWhy?â you asked, wrapping yourself closer to him. It had been a few weeks that you had tried to get your boyfriendâs attention to get things to the next level but he always turned you down. Not on purpose, you hope. But you thought today would be the best day since his parents were out of town and you had the entire weekend to yourselves.
âUmâ Argyle cleared his throat pushing you off him. âB-because weâre gonna be lateâ he told you.
âLate?â you asked, confused.
âYeah, remember? We were going to have a Star Wars weekend with Jonathan and his brotherâ he told you.
âW-what?â you asked, a bit upset. âYou never told me that!â
âYes, I didâ he insisted.
âNo, you only said to come over. I thought it was going to be just the two of usâ you told him, hoping he would take the hint.
âWell, whatâs the big deal? We can watch the movie and then hang out-â
âThose movies are like eight hours, Argyle! And they are so stupid!â
âHey! You love those movies!â he complained.
âNo! You love those movies! I only watch them because you liked them! I came over because I thought we were going to spend the weekend together! Not with Jonathan and Will watching some dumb movies!â
âOkay, knock it off, they are not dumb!â
âYes, they are! I mean, first of all, how do they understand that walking bear they hang around with all the time?â
âWookieâ he corrected but you ignored him.
âHeâs all likeâŠâ you said before you started grunting, in an attempt to make your best impression of Chewbacca. âAnd then theyâre like âThatâs a good point, Bear, letâs try that!ââ
âOkay, heâs a Wookie, and his kind is actually more intelligent than they appear-â
âI donât care! I donât wanna watch a walking bear for eight hours! I wanna have sex with you!â you blurted out, feeling your cheeks burn instantly when you realized what you had just said.
âW-what?â Argyle asked, certain that he hadnât heard you right. His eyes widen and his jaw dropped.
âPlease donât make me say that againâ you muttered shyly, looking away and feeling tears welling up.
âNo, I want you to say it againâ he said, walking closer to you. âMaybe mention my name while youâre at itâ he smirked but he stopped when he saw a few tears falling down your cheeks. âHey⊠whatâs wrong? What did I say?â he asked, his tone turning soft.
âNothing, Iâm being stupidâ you muttered, wiping off away your tears. âIâm just gonna go homeâ you said, grabbing your coat and walking towards the door but Argyle quickly pulled you back.
âNo! No, no, no, noâ he stopped you and turned you around. âWe donât have to go watch the stupid movies, but Iâm not letting you leave when I know youâre upsetâ he said, pulling you closer but you were still not able to look at him. âWhatâs going on, sunshine?â
âA-Argyle do you- do you l-like m-me?â you stuttered, still looking away.
âWhat?â he asked, extremely confused. âI obviously like you, how can you ask me that-?â
âN-no, I meanâ you sighed. âD-do you like⊠find me⊠attractive?â
âOf course I doâ he said, softly. He grabbed your hand and sat down on the couch bringing you with him, sitting you on his lap. âWhereâs this coming from?â
"It's justâŠ" you sighed. "You don't seem very interested in⊠h-having s-sex with m-me" you said feeling completely mortified.
"What?" he asked, extremely confused. "Why would you say that? Of course, I wanna have sex with you" he said, making you look up at him.
"Y-you do?"
"Yeah, of course, I do. What made you think I don't?"
"I don't know" you stammered. "Every time we're alone and⊠I think things are, you know, escalatingâŠ" you said, feeling your cheeks burning. "You always stop and just⊠say something else or⊠we do something else and I just- I thought-" you sighed. "Maybe it was b-because you just don't find me that attractive and you don't want to have sex with me" you said quietly as a few tears ran down your cheeks.
"Oh, sunshine no" he said, cupping your cheek and wiping away your tears with his thumb but you still refused to look at him. "Love, I am so sorry that I made you feel that way. It's justâŠ" he sighed frustrated. "Look, it's the opposite, okay? You drive me crazy, love, and, trust me, there's nothing more I want than for us to be together that way but, I know that⊠this is something big and new for you, and⊠I don't want you to feel pressured or⊠uncomfortable with me-"
"Love, you have never made me feel pressured or uncomfortable" you assured him. "That's why I have been trying to do this for a while now" you said with a small smile, making him smile too.
"I guess I just⊠I wanted this to be completely on your terms, sunshineâ he said, sweetly, grabbing your hand.
âI love you so muchâ you smiled, kissing his cheek.
âI love you tooâ he said, kissing your nose. âSo⊠what do you say I call Byers and tell him we canât make it today?â he said, raising his eyebrows at you.
âReally?â you asked, feeling too excited and he nodded. âI sayâŠâ you said, wrapping your arms around his shoulders and straddling his lap again. âI love you even more nowâ you told him as he wrapped his arms tightly around your waist and you leaned in to kiss him again.Â
The End
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
A/N: I swear Stevie is coming up next (as in either today or tomorrow!)Â I hope you liked it :D

Water Signs
Embrace the lessons that are teaching you in this current moment and lessons from the past. Some of you are meant to be spiritual teachers, how can one teach if theyâre not apply what theyâve learned? One of the main lessons that you had to learn was to remain ground and rooted especially during times of distress (it could be with anything). You were meant to learn this lesson to teach someone else or others. If thereâs an Earth or Air sign in your life currently, they are teaching you this valuable lesson, if thereâs a fire sign in your life, theyâre teaching you how to express yourself and to give in to the pleasures of life⊠this could also be about embracing your sexual and passionate energy. The people you come across are no accident nor coincidence, theyâre there for a reason whether itâs a lesson or a blessing. But thatâs not to keep in the front of your mind, youâre being asked to go with the flow. There are some rules, restrictions and/or conditioning from a father figure that youâre needing to release and let go of. Some of couldâve been in the military or this person is militant in some way⊠Iâm hearing âgrandfatherâ. They may have preferred certain things to go their way, couldâve had OCD too. Thereâs forgiveness here, this person couldâve passed or is on the verge of it but forgiveness is whatâs needed. If this is something youâre wishing⊠or them, that wish will most certainly be granted in the days to come. Doesnât matter if theyâre here physically or not. For others, this masculine has something to give/ offer you, itâs a beautiful gift, Iâm hearing âancestorâ. Itâs a gift thatâs aligned with your purpose so treat it as such. Iâm seeing everything coming together for you and with this gift comes happiness and celebrations⊠maybe even collaborations but on a more spiritual level. Someone around you is trying to make themselves look good⊠or this may be you. This situation or person is very low vibrational and toxic. If youâre facing addictions at this time, youâre needing to confront them and stop lying to yourself or this may be someone around you denying that they have an addiction⊠especially if itâs a drinking addiction, Iâm hearing âsomething needs to be stoppedâ. Thereâs also someone doing something dirty and/ or underhanded and this also needs to be stopped, start taking spiritual baths or learn how to do them on your own. Someone could be at risk of a heart problem whether itâs a heart attack or stroke, but dealings with the heart is significant. Someone is in needing of counseling or healing. Iâm getting âsit this one outâ. Thereâs new love here but you could be feeling as though youâre needing to sit this one out due to previous experiences/ trauma. 77 is your confirmation. Be careful of peer pressure, if you say you quit, then let it be just that⊠donât be easily fooled nor tempted. Someone could be paying the dead respect whether itâs ancestors, passed loved ones or other beings. If you have an alter, make sure youâre tending to it, someone could be wanting money or some kind of earthly gift put on their alter⊠could also be food. Some of you, itâs time to venerate your ancestors and build a space for them (thatâs entirely up to you but know that your body is also an alter for them as well). Someone is also going to be paying death a visit, so there may be someone passing away soon but I see something good coming from it though, especially if this person has done wrong by you. Someone could be getting reincarnated soon or someone could be finding out the truth on how someone died but for some, this could be you finding out how you may have died in the past life. Youâre being psychically protected at this time so donât worry about anything just focus on what youâre creating⊠which goes back to the spiritual bath that I mentioned before.

Hey there!!! I really like/love the character profiles but I have questions:
Why is Tord sexual confused? I mean it's funny and I can see it but still, why?
Is the geographical location where they have been born or just where they have been a lot in the past?
And lastly, it's just the poems that I would love to know what they receit about but I'll try and use a translator for them.
Anyway, I just wanted to know and I can't wait for future uploads. Have an amazing and wonderful day!!! đ đ đ đ
Well to put it briefly it's basically the case of "I was made to believe I'm straight for most of my life but I'm not sure if I actually am one". This sort of performative straightness "well every guy must have a girlfriend so I guess I'll agree on dating even though I'm not exactly interested". His sire was the case of that too but we all know how it ended. Since Tord's dead now and doesn't need to perform in this regard, he might get encouraged to try out other options. But that's a whole different subplot I'm not spilling in this one ask.
No. These are just places that make me think of them. It's supposed to be them as something remember?
Sorry, I couldn't find translations that would be to my liking. To give you the gist: Tord's piece is about someone who acts all tough but can also be vulnerable and emotional; Edd's piece is about being more open to the world, its wonders and knowledge, basically maintaining that childish curiosity; Tom's piece is about being unable to love in the past and being scared of loving in the present; Matt's piece is about trying to forget painful memories that keep on coming back

Random Secrets from Others 3! [True or False]
Created by joybucket
Here is another survey of random people's secrets that I've found on the Internet. Put an X by the secrets that you share, and elaborate if you wish. Have fun! :)
I hate scrapbooking. The only thing I haven't told my therapist is that I honestly wish we could be best friends. I'm the happiest I have been in a very long time. I judge everyone. I feel closer to God on psychedelic drugs. I put my college diploma in the back of my closet, because it makes me feel like a failure. I have fantasies about someone else who is not my husband! Sometimes I daydream about how great my life would be if I weren't with my husband. I never thought I'd love heroin more than my son... I lied about how I got those bruises. Most people make me wish I were alone. My therapist doesn't know all of my secrets. I'm completely wasting my life in front of a screen, and I can't stop. đ„ đ» đ± I hate that I have to have a guy in order to feel whole. I was going to break up with you the night you proposed. I still wonder if I made the right choice. đ I am sorry I slept with your husband. I did not love my daughters equally. I think less of people who ask me how I tried to kill myself. I'm in a relationship with a violent alcoholic. Trying to get out. Snorting coke is my guilty pleasure. Christmas lights make me HAPPY! đ It bothers me every single day that my father has never said "I love you" to me. I promise I will say it to my kids every day. I don't have a mother to go to. She's never known how to be a mother. My arms are covered in scars.... ....you'd be surprised how little people notice. I'm more in love with a certain celebrity than I am with my husband. I used to know what life was, and I loved it. ...Since I started smoking pot, nothing feels real anymore. My partner doesn't know I like pot. After I took three bottles of pills, I changed my mind. I'm glad my suicide attempt failed. My family doesn't love me. Starting meds is the most empowering thing I have ever done. đ I thought the surgery would make me feel beautiful...now my body is foreign to me, and I still feel deformed. I survived a suicide attempt. I keep tabs on my racist via social media. Sometimes I think it would be easier to tell people I was gay than bisexual. I'm getting my degree in the wrong major. I'm too afraid to say "I love you" to a certain person out loud. I'm glad my suicide attempt failed. I never thought I'd feel this way again. đ I have spent the last year trying to stay out of the mental hospital. I don't hurt myself anymore. To the girl I was then: I forgive you. Not a day goes by that I don't think about calling in sick. Poverty is making me lose my faith in God. I've never been more confused about my sexual identity. I hate being a redhead. I'm so scared that I will never find the place that feels like home. âïž&âïž's are my heroin. The only man who ever loved me back has a wife and a daughter he named after me. I'll never live up to the person I pretend to be on Facebook. I have mastered the art of faking happiness. I don't want to ever carry a child, because I'm useless without meds. One day I'll get the nerve to tell my Christian family... I have a bad feeling that if I ever got superpowers, I'd end up more of a supervillain than a superhero. đŠčââïž The light has gone out on my life. My cellphone is a graveyard of failed relationships. I can't believe how badly I once wanted this thing that I now hate. I was raped by a "friend," and I still haven't told anybody. I was molested. I prefer to be depressed rather than be ok, because I feel comforted in my own depression, and it's kind of like a security blanket for me. I have a fear that I have something mentally not right, and I'm too afraid to get it looked at, and that bothers me. I haven't told my parents that I was diagnosed with depression, because I don't want to worry them. I feel like therapy will never help me. I feel like I wear a mask, and I haven't really revealed my true self yet. I'm afraid of making mistakes. ....and I'm really hard on myself when I make a mistake. I recently found out that my dad was not my real dad. It's hard to keep going every single day. I act like being adopted doesn't bother me, but I miss my biological parents every single day, even though I don't know them. I married my husband just because I was pregnant, and I wasn't actually in love with him. I don't really wanna do anything in life. I have no sense of direction. I wish I'd never gotten any tattoos. I've liked guys my entire life, but recently I've been getting crushes on girls. Sometimes I wonder if there is a God. I'm not really sure where I'll be in a year from now. I've never been in love before, and I'm scared that I'll never be able to love anyone. I've been trying to get over someone, and I don't know how to let him go. I struggle with a binge eating disorder, and I haven't told anyone because I'm embarrassed and don't know how to get help. I always tell my friends they have to love themselves, but actually, I don't love myself either. I have yet to be convinced by myself or by others that my life or my passions have any value whatsoever. I was raped and got pregnant. I wish I'd never had the abortion. I wish I could fake my death to see how my friends would truly react. It's devastating knowing that I will never be a kid again. I'm scared of the question, "Are you ok?" because I'm not. I wish people would love me the way I love them. I think I'm trans, but I'm too scared to come out to anyone other than myself. I miss myself. I don't know where I am. I wish I had more time to enjoy my life. I feel like a robot sometimes. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. My mom values the way I look more than she values me as a person. I feel the need to please my parents, even if it means harming myself mentally. I didn't think I'd live this long, but I'm happy I stuck it out. I don't like how I look. I've never been kissed. I'm ashamed to ask for help. I think I want to end the relationship, but I'm afraid to be single. I was disappointed when I found out my dad didn't have cancer. I'm finally proud of myself and know my worth for the first time in years. I'm happy. I think I made the wrong decision on what I want to do with my life.

A Light in the Darkness
Pairing: Echo x Mechanic! reader
Warnings: Language, loss, grieving, and slight mentions of sexual activities (nothing descriptive)
Word count: 9,989
A/N: So, I had to change the timeline a bit to make a few things seem more logical, and while writing this I envisioned Echo in his newest style of armor because I thought the armor he wore at the end of season 7 would have been too recognizable, and wouldnât have furthered the story like I wanted. Also, props to my little sister @sgarrett49 for helping me make a big story decision, I couldnât make up my mind, so she did it for me. Thanks sis! đđ
Part 2
Never in your wildest dreams did you think youâd be anything more than friends, let alone actually come to truly love one another, but here you were, deeply and hopelessly in love with a man who treated you as if you were his everything. Little did you know, you were.
You and Echo had been together for almost two years now, and it was honestly the best relationship you had ever been in, and you knew within that first year that he was the one, so you did your best to hold onto him, and to what you two had built together. However, this was usually easier said than done, as you came to find out that dating a soldier could be rather difficult, not to mention quite taxing on the nerves. Not a day went by where you didnât worry for him, and the constant feeling of him being taken away from you every time he went off on another mission was hell. He would always reassure you before every departure that he would return to you, and that nothing would stop him from doing so, and you believed it every time, which is why when youâd gotten word that their ship would be returning soon from the mission on Lola Sayu, you ran to greet it, already waiting on the landing platform as the ship landed and everyone began to unload.
Your eyes scanned every face that exited the ship and when they landed on that of your friend, a smile grew on your face as you waved to him.
âFives, heyâ, you shouted.
He looked in your direction, making eye contact with you for a moment, and thatâs when you noticed the sullen look on his face, which only deepened when he met your eyes. He then looked downward, avoiding your gaze, as he continued walking to the hangar, not saying a word. You thought that was strange as he was usually the one in a good mood and would often greet you with a smile and a hug after missions, but not this time.
Needless to say, you were confused as you watched him leave, until someone said your name from right behind you, startling you out of your daze, and you turned around to see who it was.
âOh, Rex, hey, do you know whatâs up with Fives, heâs acting off, did something happenâ, you asked curiously, and thatâs when you saw that the somber look youâd seen on Fives was adorning the captainâs features as well.
âRex, whatâs wrongâ, you asked, then looking around, only to notice that people had stopped coming off the ship and the ramp was beginning to close. âWhereâs Echo?â
Rexâs face dropped even more at your question, and he looked to the floor to avoid your gaze as he spoke.
â(Y/N), thereâs something I have to tell youâ, he said in a low voice.
A sudden cold chill ran through your body, and you felt a heaviness fall upon you.
âWhere is he Rexâ, you asked, already putting the pieces together, but desperately wanting it to be something else, anything else.
âHe, he was trying to save the shuttle, so we could escapeâ, he said, pausing to place something in your hand. Looking at it you saw that it was the pendant youâd given Echo after youâd hit your one year mark, the word âAlwaysâ engraved in Aurebesh decorating itâs face, it hadnât just been a simple gift, it had been a promise, a promise that, no matter what, youâd always be there for him, always love him, and it was something heâd treasured and kept on his person at all times, especially when he was away from you. Heâd told you that having it allowed him to have a piece of you with him, which was a great comfort. As far as you knew, he was never without it, so when Rex placed the object in your hand, you knew what had happened before he even had to tell you. It was clear he knew this as well, as he didnât proceed to state the obvious, but instead offered you a sorrowful, âIâm so sorry (Y/N).â
You stared at the pendent in your hand for a long moment, still trying to fully comprehend what this meant, because it didnât feel real. It felt like your world was crumbling down around you and your senses started to fade until all you could see was blurs, everything you heard was muffled, and all you could feel was⊠nothing, you were numb. It took you a minute to come back to reality, and once you did, your senses returned like a hard punch to the gut, everything hitting you at once.
You closed your fingers around the object in your hand, its cold surface stinging your skin, and before you knew it, you were on the ground. Youâd crashed to your knees, with such force that if you had been more aware you probably wouldâve noticed the intense pain that ran through your legs at the impact, but you werenât, so you didnât. All you could do was kneel there, clutching the only thing remaining of the one you loved with all your heart, as you let out a noiseless cry, before finally inhaling and openly sobbing.
Seeing you like this broke Rexâs heart, you were one of his closest friends, him being one of the only people, besides Fives, who knew of your and Echoâs relationship, and had been so happy for the two of you, so supportive, it killed him to see you so distraught and know that there was nothing he could do to fix it. So, he did the only thing he could do, he kneeled down in front of you, drew you into his arms, and just held you, held you until the tears ceased, until you had nothing left to give. He held you for as long as you needed, and although he knew it would never be enough, it was all he had to give.
After a long while of crying and silent comfort, you finally managed to pull yourself together enough to stand. You then allowed Rex to take you back to your quarters, where you immediately fell into bed.
Rex left once he felt it was necessary, wanting to give you some time to be alone, time to think, to mourn in peace. Before he left, however, you stopped him and handed back the pendant, although he was unsure if he should take it.
â(Y/N) are you sure. This is all thatâs left, you should keep itâ, he said.
You shook your head. âI canâtâ, you said, your voice almost a whisper. âItâll just be a reminder of what I lost and seeing it every day will only make it hurt more.â
âIf youâre sureâŠâ, he began.
âIâm sureâ, you said, stopping his next words.
He nodded then and turned to leave, only stopping at the door to look at you over his shoulder, his expression saddened.
âIâm sorryâ, he repeated.
âMe tooâ, you replied, before watching him take his leave.
You spent the next few hours lying in bed, staring at the wall, trying hard not to burst into tears again as all the memories started flooding your mind. Youâd wanted to spend your life with him, to give him the world, but that was no longer a possibility, and that hurt most of all. You werenât sure how you were going to get through this, but you did know one thing; you couldnât just give up. Yes, you lost the person you cared for most in this galaxy, but he wasnât the only one that needed you, you had friends that needed you too, friends that had also just lost a big part of their lives; youâd lost your love, and theyâd lost their brother. You would need each other, and so you would carry on, hard as it would be, and be there for them, like you knew they would be for you.
As you slowly began to drift from consciousness, the image in your mind was of him, giving you that perfect smile you adored, a smile youâd never see again, but knew youâd yearn for.
You then fell into a deep sleep, your last conscious thought being one that drew one last tear from your eye, which you let slide down the side of your face until it met the pillow beneath you.
âI didnât even get to say goodbye.â
***
It had been a long couple of years to say the least, so much had changed in your life, and you still felt like you were trying to catch up with it all.
A few months after the mission to Lola Sayu, youâd been asked to take on the position of field mechanic, which you had agreed to right away. You figured all the moving around and non-stop action would help take your mind off the overwhelming sadness that had become your new companion, and it did, for a time.
However, the universe has a funny way of forcing you to do what you need to, and after a couple of months in the field, you were sent back to work on Coruscant, and this lasted for about a year before you were able to be sent back out.
During that year you had done a lot of reflecting, planning, and most importantly, healing. It took time, but you were finally able to live with the grief that had once consumed you, and you had made it to a place in your life where you could be yourself again, even having someone new in your life that brought you a great deal of happiness.
You now shifted between field and on-world work, in order to maintain your new life, and the relationship thriving within it.
You had been away for a couple of months and had just returned to Coruscant not two days before getting right back to work. The bills never stopped, so neither did you.
You were currently working at your station in the hangar, doing your best to repair an almost completely totaled gunship, when your comm went off. You sighed and made your way down the ladder you had been propped up on, picking up the commlink from your worktable and lifting your welding mask before answering.
âYeahâ, you said, very unprofessionally. You couldnât help it, you hated when someone interrupted your work, no matter who it was.
âHey, itâs me, you think you could meet me outside, got a ship for you to look at.â
The voice was all too familiar, and you groaned internally. Of course, he would be the one to try and weasel his way into your busy work schedule.
You gave a heavy sigh before answering. âLook at, or fix? Thereâs a difference Anakin, and Iâm a bit too busy at the moment to add anything else to the âfixâ listâ, you told the jedi.
But, as always, he wasnât going to take no for an answer. âOh, come on, these guys really helped us out, the least we can do is help fix their ship, and weâre not even sure itâs anything major, could be a quick fix, especially if youâre the one tasked to it. Besides, I promised them the best mechanic the GAR has to offer, who else would I callâ, he asked, yet again trying to sway you the only way he knew how, damn him, he knew you couldnât say no when you had a reputation to uphold, not that you were vein about it, it was just nice to know all your hard work was noticed and what you put out was reliable and sought after.
âYou know, flattery doesnât get you everything you want, Skywalkerâ, you told him, but after a long pause, you responded. âBe out in 5.â
âYouâre the bestâ, he said, and you could practically hear the triumphant smile through his voice.
âYeah, yeahâ, you replied, annoyed that he had you caving to a request for the umpteenth time.
You collected a few of your more commonly used tools and dumped them into your toolbox before closing it up and hauling it off the table, then begrudgingly making your way out to the landing platform. Once there, it didnât take you long to spot them. Anakin was standing among a group of other men, all soldiers from what you could tell, including Rex, who you were actually happy to see, as it had been a while since youâd even spoken to him. Theyâd been shipped out to aid in the fight on Anaxes only a few weeks after you yourself had been shipped off to yet another distant planet in the Outer Rim. Honestly, you were just glad he returned, and was seemingly unscathed. However, the joy of seeing your friend couldnât overpower the feeling of annoyance that had quickly built in you, and you pulled down your welding mask to cover your face in an attempt to hide the deep frown that you now felt pulling at your lips, you didnât want that to be the first impression these men had of you, so you tried to get your emotions and your expression under control as you closed the distance between you and the group.
âAh, there she isâ, Anakin said, his tone jovial.
You came to stand before him, dropping your toolbox next to you, quite unceremoniously, and crossing your arms.
âWhatâs with the mask, you hiding from us nowâ, he asked jokingly, which only pissed you off more.
âOh, believe me, you donât want to see the face Iâm giving you right nowâ, you replied.
âCome on, youâre really that mad?â
âYes. You do know I donât actually work for you right, you canât keep asking me to drop everything because you need something. I have a gunship in there that needs a hell of a lot more than a tune-up, and if I donât get it repaired within the allotted two weeks, theyâre gonna scrap itâ, you explained, unintentionally letting out some of your anger through your words.
âAnd, the Republic never seems to have an issue getting more, Iâm sure we can get a new gunship in no timeâ, he said, not seeing your reasoning.
âThatâs not it Sir, she doesnât like wasteâ, Rex answered on your behalf.
You looked to him, then finally lifting your mask to smile at him.
âThank you, Rexâ, you said, before turning your attention back to Anakin, your eyebrow raised as you gave him a look. âAt least someone gets it.â
âAlright, alright, Iâm sorry, thisâll be the last time I interrupt you, promiseâ, Anakin said, raising his arms defensively.
âYea, Iâll believe that when I see itâ, you scoffed, then removing the mask completely and setting it beside your toolbox. You then turned your attention to the group of unfamiliar faces and gave them a warm smile. âSorry, Iâm not usually like this, itâs just that this one has a way of bringing out my inner bitchâ, you told them, gesturing to Anakin, who just rolled his eyes.
âNo need to apologize Maâam, we understandâ, said the man at the front of the group, clearly the leader of the bunch, as the others simply nodded their agreement. âIâm Hunterâ, he said, offering you his hand, which you took and shook firmly.
â(Y/N), nice to meet you, I take it youâre in charge hereâ, you asked him.
âI amâ, he replied.
âGood, so, whatâs wrong with your ship?â
âNot quite sure, we were hoping you might be able to help us figure it out, that is, if youâre willing. We understand if youâre too busyâ, he said, quickly adding that last bit to not seem demanding, and while you appreciated the possible out, you were already there, so you might as well follow through.
âItâs alright, Iâm always busy. Whatâs one more projectâ, you said, giving him as cheerful of a response as you could muster at the moment, and you took the short moment of silence that followed as an opportunity to scan over the rest of his squad, getting a more detailed look this time.
They were definitely clones, but none like youâd ever seen before, their features slightly similar, but still differing from one another, and certainly from your typical clone. This was true, at least, for the four you could see. They had a fifth member, but it seemed he was taking your initial approach, as he had kept his helmet on, which was effectively blocking you from getting any decent view of the face underneath, so you were only left with your assumptions. All you could discern was that he was looking straight at you, unmoving, and you could almost feel the intensity of his stare, even through the visor. This caused you to shift, feeling a bit uncomfortable that a complete stranger was looking at you in such a way, the feeling only made worse by the fact that you couldnât actually see the expression being sent your way.
âGreat, itâs settled then. Youâll help them out and Iâll get started on keeping my promise by getting out of your hairâ, Anakin said from behind you, causing you to turn and give him one last glare before he made his exit.
You shook your head before looking to Rex, who was now giving what looked like a slightly confused, if not frustrated, look to one of the men in front of you. When you looked back, you noticed the helmeted soldier looking back at him, and shaking his head slightly, as if saying a silent, ânoâ. You thought this was strange but didnât have time to think about it in any depth as your attention was soon brought back to Hunter, who was now making his way to their ship and beckoning you to follow.
As you walked the short distance, the other three introduced themselves to you, and the one called Tech began explaining to you all the things heâd already checked and the causes heâd debunked, telling you he hoped this information would help you in finding the problem a little quicker, now that you knew all the things it wasnât. You werenât annoyed, as this did help to narrow it down, and once youâd made it to the ship, you got right to work.
As you rummaged around the innards of the ship you now knew to be the Havoc Marauder, you couldnât help but notice the unidentified member of the group talking to Rex, although, it seemed as if they were having an argument of sorts, nothing too heated, but one that definitely had Rex frustrated, which was a rarity as far as you knew.
You shook off your curiosity and got back to your inspection, and soon your eyes lit with realization.
âAh haâ, you exclaimed. âHereâs your problem, your flight stabilizer is shotâ, you explained.
âImpossible, that was one of the first pieces I checked, and I saw nothing wrong with itâ, Tech told you.
âWell, not to be rude, but you must not have checked thoroughly, because thatâs definitely where your problem isâ, you said confidently.
âAnd just what makes you say thatâ, he asked, seeming a bit insulted by your accusation.
You then grabbed the part and hauled it out of its compartment, then turned it so that the side that had not been easily visible when it was hooked up was now facing him, revealing a small puncture mark in its side.
He looked at the part in your hand, then back to you, a look of surprise now adorning his features.
âHow did youâŠâ, he began to ask, but you just shrugged.
âJust gotta know what youâre looking for. This problem is actually pretty common in Omicron-classes, and usually stems from the stabilizer not being installed correctly. My guess is whoever put it in made adjustments that were too tight, and this caused it to be too close to this hereâ, you explained, pointing to the piece of machinery that had been right next to the one now in your hand, and had a piece jutting out from it, âwhich allowed it to rub against the stabilizer until it eventually punctured it.â
The commando just stared at you for a moment, still trying to process how he couldâve missed that, but he soon composed himself and spoke.
âOh, well, that makes senseâ, he said.
âCan you fix itâ, Hunter asked, coming to stand next to his comrade.
You scoffed. âOf course I can, and lucky for you guys, I just so happen to have a spare flight stabilizer back in my work station, I can grab it and have you fixed up in no timeâ, you told them.
âThen what are we waiting for, lead the wayâ, Hunter said, gesturing you forward.
You nodded and began the walk back to the hangar, heading for your work area.
Rex came to walk beside you soon enough, and you couldnât help but inquire about the strange behaviors youâd just witnessed.
âHey, is everything okay, do you know that guyâ, you asked him in a whisper while subtly gesturing to the man in question.
Rex looked to you, then sighed. âItâs⊠complicated, I canât really explain right nowâ, he whispered back.
You gave him a confused look, but decided you wouldnât push the matter, Rex always had his reasons, and they were valid, you were sure this instance was no different.
âOkayâ, you said, drawing out the word. âWell, in any case, Iâm glad your finally back safeâ, you said, smiling up at him, which he then returned.
âThanks (Y/N), you too.â

Echo felt like he was glued to the floor as soon as you removed your mask, and he found himself looking at a face he never thought heâd see again.
You were still just as beautiful as he remembered, maybe even more so, and all he found himself able to do was stare at you, completely mesmerized, as you spoke to the general.
He saw the annoyed expression you were giving the man, and while he knew it was one given out of genuine upset, he couldnât help but note the way your nose scrunched up and the corner of your mouth quirked up a bit, a look he had always found strangely adorable.
All he really wanted to do in that moment was run to you, scoop you up, and pepper your face with kisses like he used to, but he quickly reminded himself that, that wasnât a good idea. It had been a long time since you two had seen each other, and he had changed, significantly. He wasnât sure youâd even want him anymore at this point, hell, youâd probably already moved on. No, he wasnât going to mess things up for you by exposing his identity, heâd simply admire you from afar while he could, much like he had all those years ago, before heâd plucked up the nerve to actually talk to you.
When Rex sent him a look that was clearly meant to coax him into revealing himself to you, he simply shook his head, earning him a look of confusion from the captain, but Rex wasnât about to go against his wishes, and ended up keeping quiet about it as well, that is until he confronted Echo a short time later.
You had just started your examination of the Marauderâs inner workings, when Rex approached Echo, arms crossed.
âAlright, you wanna tell me what that was all about, why didnât you say anything to herâ, Rex asked, looking a bit disappointed.
âI couldnât, I canât, not like this, it would only upset her, and I donât want to do that. Itâs better if she just doesnât knowâ, Echo explained.
âWhat are you talking about, that woman loves you with all she has, I know it, just like I know sheâd be elated to know your aliveâ, Rex told his brother, desperately trying to convince him.
Echo sighed. âIâm sorry Rex, but I just canât, please try to understand.â
âYou know if she found out you were hiding from her, itâd break her heart.â
âThen I guess itâs a good thing she wonât find outâ, Echo replied.
Rex then let out his own sigh before responding. âFine, I wonât say anything to her, but I still think that you shouldâ, he said before going to catch up to you as you walked in the direction of the hangar, followed by Hunter and Tech; Crosshair and Wrecker deciding to stay in the ship as they figured it would be repaired shortly, and theyâd be leaving soon.
After a moment of contemplation, Echo decided to follow you all, figuring that if this was to be the last time heâd see you, heâd better keep you in his sights.

You soon made it back to your workstation and began your search for the part, while Rex excused himself, saying there was something he needed to do, but heâd be back.
After a few minutes of searching, you were beginning to get irritated with yourself. While you were a great mechanic, you were lousy at keeping track of your things, and often misplaced parts and tools around your station, it was actually something Echo used to tease you about, often saying how youâd lose your head if it wasnât attached. Youâd always scowl and tell him to help you look instead of just watching you frantically search around like a crazy person, mumbling about how you knew it was around there somewhere. You would only get more annoyed when he would then find whatever you were looking for in less than half the time, not that this feeling lasted long as he always had a way of bringing a smile back to your face, usually by way of some cheesy joke, followed by some form of flattery. Where this never fully worked for someone like Anakin, it always worked for Echo.
âAre you sure you have the partâ, Tech asked after a good ten minutes of watching you search the mess that was your workstation.
âSure, Iâm sureâ, you replied, not looking at him as you continued searching, âand Iâm pretty sure itâs over⊠hereâ, you said, moving to the far wall.
He and Hunter exchanged a look before deciding to help in the search, each taking a different section of the space, and before you knew it, all three men were looking around for the illusive piece of machinery. Soon enough you heard someone behind you clear their throat, prompting you to turn around.
You saw that it was the fifth member of the group, face still hidden, standing in front of you now, and before you could ask what he wanted, you noticed the stabilizer he was holding out to you.
âThis what youâre looking forâ, he asked.
You were a bit stunned to hear him speak after being so quiet all this time, but this short utterance did allow you to further your theory as to who was beneath that bucket. It was odd though, while he sounded a lot like your typical clone, there was something else there, something you couldnât quite put your finger on.
You took the part from him and gave an awkward âthanksâ, while he only nodded in response.
Just then, the sound of someone yelling cut through the hangar, causing you all to look in its direction.
âHey, get back here you, I told you to stay closeâ, you heard Jesse yell as he chased a, surprisingly quick footed, child through the hangar.
She giggled at his attempts to reach her, her smile only growing as she caught a glimpse of you, and then made a b-line in your direction.
When she was only a few feet away she reached out her arms and called to you in a high-pitched voice.
âMommyâ, she screeched, as she launched herself at you.
You bent down, placing the stabilizer on the ground next to you, then catching and scooping her up in your arms, a bright smile now adorning your face.
âHeyâ, you said with a laugh. âWhat are you doing here Little Miss?â
âRunning from me for startersâ, Jesse said as he approached, winded from the chase.
You looked to the young girl with a raised eyebrow.
âIs that trueâ, you asked her.
âUncle Jesse slowâ, she announced, giggling throughout her whole sentence.
You hummed and looked to the man in question, who then offered you a shrug.
âWhat, sheâs a fast little thingâ, he said, that being the weakest defense youâd ever heard.
âSheâs twoâ, you told him.
âAnd a halfâ, he argued back, causing you to roll your eyes at him.
âWhatever you say, now, back to my question, what is she doing here, I thought you two were going to have a movie night back at the apartment, and has she even eaten dinner yetâ, you asked him.
Jesse scratched the back of his neck, abashed.
âWell, we were going to do all that, but then I got Rexâs message and we came here insteadâ, he explained.
âWhat messageâ, you asked him, confused.
âThe message I sent him, telling him to meet me hereâ, Rex said as he entered your station, âthought Lena might be missing her motherâ, he explained.
Your daughter let out a small gasp when she saw him. âUncle Rexâ, she shouted excitedly, while absentmindedly reaching for him.
You set her down and watched as she attacked him with the same force she had with you earlier, the scene making you chuckle.
âI think she missed you moreâ, you told him.
He chuckled as well as he bent down to her level, catching her in a hug, smiling warmly at her when she eventually pulled away to stare up at him.
âAnd howâs our little soldier todayâ, he asked her.
âGoodâ, she told him, then gasping as if sheâd just remembered something. âUncle Rex, I been practice.â
âOh, practicing what, little oneâ, he asked.
Lena then stepped back and straightened her posture before giving her uncle her best salute, all while desperately trying to keep a serious face. You both found it very adorable.
âYes, you have been practicing, good jobâ, Rex told the girl, but when she didnât change her posture, he gave her a confused look.
âYou suppose to sayâ, she whispered.
Rexâs confused expression changed to one of understanding, as he now knew what sheâd been waiting for.
âRight, sorryâ, he said, then standing straight himself before clearing his throat and letting out an authoritative, âat easeâ, which finally prompted Lena to relax her stance. He then bent back down and opened his arms to her again. âNow, as you wereâ, he said, and she once more launched herself towards him, hugging him with all the strength her tiny arms could muster.
***
Echo was left stunned.
Mommy, sheâd called you âMommyâ, and Rexâs words only confirmed she was yours.
So, he had been right, you had moved on. You had a daughter, probably a husband too; you had a family. Heâd be lying if he said this information didnât leave him a little brokenhearted, but overall, he was truly happy for you, he was glad you had been able to find some happiness again. Why hadnât Rex told him, did he think he wouldnât be able to handle the news? Well, whatever the reason, he now knew, and he was glad he hadnât revealed himself, for it certainly wouldâve caused quite the mess.
He looked at the girl, taking in her appearance; big brown eyes, hair the same color as yours, and her skin was a lovely shade of copper; she was beautiful, just like her mother.
Seeing this child, who looked almost like a little version of you, brought back memories of late night talks youâd had about your plans for the future. How after the war, you both would leave and move to a quiet planet far away, get a house, start a family, and just cherish the rest of the time you had together. It seemed as though you at least had part of that dream now, and he hoped that one day youâd get the rest of it, even if it wasnât with him, because as long as you were happy, then so was he.

Once Lena pulled away from Rex again, she looked around, finally realizing there were others besides her mother and uncles in the space around her. Her eyes came to land on one in particular, and she walked over to him, her eyes then going wide as she stared at his cybernetic arm.
âWhat happenâ, she asked, pointing to the artificial limb.
Your eyes went wide. âAileen (L/N)â, you scolded her lightly, knowing she didnât mean anything by it, but wanting her to know it wasnât polite to ask such things. âWe donât ask people things like that, itâs rudeâ, you told her, bending slightly and pacing a hand on her shoulder, before then looking at the man with an apologetic expression, âIâm sorry, sheâs justâŠâ, you began, but he soon cut you off.
âNo, no, itâs alright, sheâs just curiousâ, he said, trying to reassure you he wasnât insulted by the question. He then bent down so he could speak to her without looking too intimidating. âWell, you see, I had an accident, and I lost my arm, so, I had to get a new oneâ, he explained in a soft tone, holding his arm up for her to see better.
Lena looked as if she was thinking this answer over before she finally asked, âYou have boo-boo?â
You then heard the man chuckle from beneath his helmet.
âYeah, yeah I had a boo-booâ, he confirmed.
Lena then stepped closer to him, kissing the palm of her hand before placing it on the forearm of the cybernetic limb.
âThere goâ, she said, then asking, âbetter?â
While you couldnât see the manâs face, you were sure he was smiling, you could hear it in his next words.
âMuch better, thank you Lenaâ, he told the child.
âYou welcomeâ, she exclaimed.
You sent him a thankful smile as he stood once more, then turning your attention back to Lena.
âNot that I donât love seeing you Sweetheart, but Mommy still has some work to do, and I believe you have a grumbly tummy to feedâ, you said, starting to direct her back to her uncles, who still stood near where they entered.
She turned her head to look up at you, a pout now on her face.
âBut Mommyâ, she whined.
âNo buts, now go with Uncle Jesseâ, you told her.
âActuallyâ, Rex cut in, âUncle Jesse can take the night off, Iâll take over babysitting dutyâ, he said.
âYou sureâ, you asked him, not really surprised at the offer, as he did this more often than not, but you always had to make sure. You never wanted to inconvenience them, and often tried to hire a babysitter instead of just relying on her uncles to take care of her while you were working, even though they told you time and time again that there was no need, and that theyâd be more than willing to take on the responsibility. Even going as far as to try and get you to let go of your live-in nanny, who youâd hired shortly after your maternity leave was up, a leave that had been graciously extended due to the circumstances, to take care of Lena while you were away doing field work, but you wouldnât budge on that one, seeing as you never knew who would be shipped out and when, not wanting to risk leaving her with a complete stranger as a result of having no other option, so you kept the nanny for those necessary times. However, when she would send you the weekly update, sheâd always mention the numerous visits Lena had gotten from multiple uncles during that time.
You had come to realize rather early on that the clones took to the fatherly role very easily, and even the ones that didnât, still enjoyed the company of their little niece, but they all protected her as if she was their own, and you couldnât be more grateful.
âOf course, besides, I could use some quality Lena time, feels like I havenât seen her in agesâ, he said before bending down to make eye contact with the girl. âWhat do you say kiddo, you want to go get somethinâ to eat, Iâll let you pick, and maybe weâll even pick up a special dessert on the way home, howâs that sound?â
âYayâ, Lena shouted.
âAlright, but be on your best behavior, okayâ, you told her.
âOkay Mommyâ, she replied.
âSeriously, do you have to one up me like thatâ, Jesse asked Rex, who just shrugged before picking up his niece.
âGotta stay the favorite uncle somehowâ, he responded.
Jesse scoffed. âWho said you were her favoriteâ, he asked.
âItâs pretty obvious who she prefers to spend time withâ, Rex told his brother, being a bit smug in his delivery.
âReally, okay then, letâs seeâ, Jesse said before looking to the child now in Rexâs arms. âLena, you pick, boring dinner with Uncle Rex, or fun movie night with lots of snacks with Uncle Jesseâ, he asked her.
Lena thought about this for a minute, she then raised her arms in the air and excitedly yelled, âBothâ.
The two men looked to one another before smirking at their niece.
âWell played Kidâ, Jesse remarked.
Rex then lifted Lena, so she was sitting on his shoulders and the three of them left to begin their busy night.
You couldnât help but laugh at their antics as you watched them walk off. Your daughter was turning into the most spoiled kid on Coruscant, but you didnât have the heart to intervene.
After they were out of sight, you got back to work, going to pick up the previously discarded part off the ground before turning your attention back to the three men occupying your workspace.
âSorry about that, now, letâs get that ship of yours fixedâ, you said, now with a little more pep in your step. Your daughter had that effect on you, just like her father before her.
As you walked back to the ship, Hunter spoke up.
âCute kidâ, he said.
âYes, and quite well spoken for someone of her ageâ, Tech added.
âThanks, but I canât take all the credit, she gets a lot of it from her dad, especially the brainsâ, you admitted.
Hunter hummed before asking, âAnd Lenaâs father, where is he?â
You suddenly looked to your feet, your pace slowing a bit.
They noticed and Hunter now felt bad about asking, seeing it was clearly a touchy subject, and he tried to back track.
âSorry, you donât have to answer that, itâs really none of my businessâ, he said, but you shook your head and looked back up, picking up your pace once more.
âNo, itâs alright, I just⊠havenât talked about it in a while, thatâs allâ, you explained. âLenaâs father, he⊠he died a long time ago.â
Youâd finally made it back to the ship and quickly adorned your work gloves to begin your repairs, trying to ignore the pitied looks you were now getting, as you started.
âOh, Iâm, Iâm sorry to hear that, was heâŠâ, Hunter began to ask, but you already knew the question, so you answered before he even finished asking it.
âA soldier? Yeah, he was, a damn good one too, saved a lot of lives⊠before he lost his ownâ, you told them, continuing to install the stabilizer.
âWhat happened?â
You huffed a bitter laugh. âSame thing that always happens, a plan goes awry and things get crazy, this time he just happened to be in the line of fireâ, you said, not wanting to go into any more detail than that.
âIâm sorry, I know that mustâve been hard, and then having to raise a kid on top of it, I canât even imagine how frightening that wasâ, Hunter said somberly.
âYouâd think it would be, huhâ, you said, your hands slowing as you thought back to that time in your life. âBut you know, the crazy thing was, I didnât feel that way at all. I thought Iâd be scared out of my mind, but all I felt was⊠relieved.â When you noticed their confused expressions, you continued. âWhen I lost Lenaâs father, I was a wreck, and I went to a very dark place for a long while, so, I threw myself into my work as a way to escape the pain, which could only work so well. But, when I found out that I was pregnant, it was like a spark was lit within my mind, and with it came a small light that slowly grew as time went by, and that light ate away at the darkness that had clouded my thoughts, then⊠she was here, and it was like she chased away what was left.â You had no idea why you were telling them all this, but once you started, you couldnât seem to stop, it was like you were letting out the thoughts that had been trapped within you for years, and so you didnât stop yourself. âThe first time I saw her was an experience I canât fully explain, she was the most beautiful thing Iâd ever seen, and when she looked at me with those eyes, his eyes, everything felt right again. Itâs like she was the piece of himself he left behind, so I wouldnât be aloneâ you explained, taking a pause before finishing. âThatâs why I named her Aileen; it means âshining lightâ, which is what she is, my light in the darkness, the one that always guides me home.â
You hadnât realized you were crying silent tears until you felt them land on your exposed collarbones, quickly wiping them from your face with the back of your work glove and clearing your throat as you made the final adjustment, finishing your task.
âThere, now you should be good to goâ, you told them, and you began packing your toolbox back up, trying to avoid their gaze as you now felt a bit embarrassed for practically telling your life story to a bunch of guys you just met.
However, they didnât seem to mind.
As you stood, you felt a comforting hand land on your shoulder, and you looked up to see Hunter smiling warmly at you.
âThanks for the helpâ, he said, keeping his tone soft.
You smiled back. âNo problem.â
He and Tech then walked to the ramp, the latter giving you a kind nod as he passed.
âOh, and by the wayâ, Hunter said, turning back around. âWhile Lena may have gotten her smarts from her father, she definitely got her spirit from you. Youâre a strong woman (Y/N), sheâs lucky to have a mother like you.â
You just stood there for a moment, surprised by his comment, but also warmed by it.
âThank youâ, you said.
He nodded and then looked to the man behind you, giving him a questioning look.
***
Echo watched as the tears began to stream down your face, and he wondered if you even noticed them, although you probably didnât; you were so wrapped up in your memories to notice anything at this point.
Throughout this whole conversation, the wheels in Echoâs head had been turning, and he had slowly begun to piece together the information you had been providing them, but it wasnât until you said something about Lena being, âthe piece of himself he left behindâ, that it finally clicked.
You hadnât moved on, you hadnât found someone else, hadnât been with anyone else, which meantâŠ
***
âHey, you comingâ, Hunter asked, seeing him just standing there as if heâd been gob smacked.
You turned around and cocked your head, confused by the manâs odd behavior, and gave him a curious look. It seemed as if he were contemplating his next move, and after a moment he straightened his posture and walked over, stopping right in front of you. You couldnât see them, but you felt his eyes on yours, could feel how intense his stare was; it was actually a bit intimidating, and you fidgeted a little where you stood.
Finally, after an intense and, quite frankly, awkward few seconds of silence, he spoke.
âIâm so sorry, for everything. You shouldnât have had to go through that on your ownâ, he said.
This surprised you more than Hunterâs earlier comment, and your expression only filled with more confusion.
âUm, itâs okay, really, itâs not like it was your faultâ, you told him, but he quickly shook his head.
âNo, it is, it is my fault, I was the one who wasnât careful, I was the one who risked everything, and Iâm so sorry (Y/N)â, he said, emotion slowly growing in his voice.
âWhat the hell are you talking about, I donât even know youâ, you said, not knowing where this was coming from, or why this guy was even apologizing to you in the first place.
âYes⊠you doâ, he said, reaching into the pouch on his hip, pulling something out, and holding it out toward you, allowing you to look at the object laying on his palm. As soon as you laid eyes on the object, your heart stopped and it felt as if the breath had been stollen from your lungs. Lying on his open palm was a pendant, his pendant, the one youâd last given to Rex out of grief, the one you couldnât bear to look at for so many years because it was a reminder of the promise that had been broken the day you thought youâd lost it all.
âWhere did you get thatâ, you asked, your voice breathy, almost as if it were meant to be a whisper.
He looked down at the pendant in his hand before answering.
âRex returned it to me, after they rescued me from the Separatists, but before that, you gave it to me, said it was a promise, a promise that youâd always be with me, that weâd always be together, that youâd always love me. I never thought Iâd see it again, never thought Iâd see you again, but Iâm glad I was wrongâ, he said, finally looking back to your eyes, noticing that they were filling with tears.
You walked closer to him, desperately searching for his eyes behind his visor.
âEcho?â Your voice was barely audible, as his name escaped your lips on a breath.
He nodded, not being able to vocalize his confirmation as he was trying to hold his own rising emotions back; he wanted to be strong for you, even though he knew you didnât care if he expressed his emotions openly, and that you didnât always need him to be the rock of the relationship, but he still tried, nonetheless.
You let out a mixture of a sob and a sigh before suddenly wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling him into an eager embrace. When he reciprocated and wrapped his arms around your waist, you pulled him in tighter, holding on for dear life, afraid if you didnât that heâd disappear before your eyes.
âHow is this possibleâ, you asked over his shoulder.
He chuckled. âItâs a long story.â
âAnd youâre a damn fool if you think Iâm not gonna want to hear itâ, you said, a smile now tugging on your lips.
âYou will, but later. For now, letâs just focus on thisâ, he said, giving you a light squeeze around your middle to emphasize his words, making you laugh.
You stayed like that for another few minutes before you spoke again.
âI missed you, so muchâ, you whispered, your face right next to his.
âI missed you too Cyarâikaâ, he said.
The utterance of the Mandoâa term of endearment widening your smile. You hadnât realized how much you missed hearing the language roll off his tongue.
You loosened your hold and pulled back to once again search for his eyes before slowly reaching for his helmet, wanting nothing more than to remove it and finally see him after all this time, you needed to, needed to see his eyes looking back at you, then it would be real. Before you could attempt to do this, however, he lightly grabbed your wrist, his right arm laying on top of your other one, effectively blocking it from lifting.
âWhatâs wrongâ, you asked him, confused, and a bit worried, by his actions.
âA lot has changed, Iâve changed, Iâm not the same man you remember (Y/N)â, he told you.
âThatâs pretty obvious Loveâ, you said, your eyes shifting to the cybernetic arm that currently lay atop the back of your left wrist.
âItâs not just the arm; that explosion took a lot from me, the Separatists even more so, and the whole thing left me, well, brokenâ, he admitted.
You paused as his words caused a wave of sadness to wash over you, then anger. What had they done to him? Whatever it was, you wanted to wring their necks with your bare hands, how dare they even think to touch him. If you didnât hate those Seppie bastards before, you certainly did now.
You quickly tried to calm the growing fire building in you so you could give a response that wasnât full of anger; he didnât deserve that from you, truth be told, he didnât deserve any of this, but that was a conversation for another time, right now you had to stay focused. You shook yourself from your thoughts and were finally able to find your words.
âSo what, weâre all a little broken if you think about it, itâs just that not all of us wear it on our exterior, either way itâs nothing to be ashamed ofâ, you said, trying to sound reassuring.
âI know, itâs just⊠I guess what Iâm trying to say is, you might not like what you seeâ, he explained.
You felt a small flicker of anger rise within you once again, but for a completely different reason. Did he really believe you to be so shallow, didnât he know you better than that?
You suddenly grabbed the sides of his helmet and gently pulled his face closer to yours, a look of determination on your face.
âNow you listen to me, and you listen good. I donât give a damn how different you look on the outside, youâre still the same man I fell in love with on the inside, I can feel itâ, you told him, your expression softening. âI will always love you Echo, no matter whatâs under that helmet.â
He considered this a moment before nodding and releasing your wrists, allowing his arms to fall to his sides.
You wasted no time in gently lifting the thing off, hearing a low hiss as it released itself and loosened, making the task much easier. You pulled it out toward you as you went so as not to catch it on his chin, then finally removed it, getting a glimpse of what lay beneath, the face of your lost lover.
It was as he said, he was different; his face was thinner than you remembered, eyes a bit sunken and their color dulled, looking more gold now than brown, his once tanned skin was now pale, and the hair you used to run your fingers through was now gone, allowing you to see the small metal protrusions that now scattered along the sides of his head. Yet, even with all these changes, you still found him to be the most handsome man youâd ever laid your eyes on, and youâd spend the rest of your days proving that to him if you had to.
Still, his appearance told you something; he had suffered, most likely in more ways than one, and probably to a degree you couldnât even fathom. These thoughts brought the tears back to your eyes, how could something so terrible happen to such a good person. You would never understand it.
You brought your hands to his face, softly placing a hand on each side, using your thumbs to caress the skin under them.
âOh, Echoâ, you whispered, the tears making your eyes glisten.
He grinned a humorless grin.
âI told you it was badâ, he said, giving you a small shrug.
You shook your head. Â âNo, itâs not thatâ, you explained. âIâm so sorry you had to go through all that, and alone, no less.â
He then smiled a more genuine smile and placed his hand on top of yours.
âI wasnât aloneâ, he explained, causing you to look at him curiously, but he continued. âYou accompanied my thoughts every day, you were right there with me, encouraging me to stay strong and that everything was going to be okay, you were what got me through, you were my light.â
This only brought more tears to your eyes, threatening to spill over at any second.
You gently pulled his face closer, looking deep into his eyes.
âI love youâ, you said softly.
âAnd I love you, so muchâ, he replied, voice just as soft as yours had been.
You then leaned in, slowly closing the gap between you.
The kiss started out much like the ones you both had shared in the past, soft and loving, but soon changed as something deep within you took over, and you moved your free hand to the back of his neck, then slowly moving it upwards until it rested at the base of his skull, as a means to take more control of the situation, using this new hand placement to pull him closer, effectively deepening the kiss. The action seemed to catch him a bit off guard initially as it sent small shocks through his system, something he hadnât experienced in a long time, but he soon was able to regain some semblance of composure, then wrapping his right arm around your waste and using his forearm to push against your back, pulling you closer in the process, and allowing himself to melt into the kiss.
You two had, had some very intimate and emotional moments in the past, but nothing like this. You both were putting everything into it; the years of longing, feelings of loneliness and loss, as well as the utter relief and happiness of being together again, it was all poured into this one kiss.
It took you both a minute to realize you needed air, and even then, you were reluctant to pull away. You eventually did manage to separate from the kiss, but your hold on one another didnât give, and you stood in that embrace for a while, foreheads touching, and eyes closed, both content to just bask in the presence of the one before you.
After a few minutes like this, Echo spoke the only other thought that had been on his mind.
âAnd Lena, sheâsâŠâ, he began to ask, stopping short, still slightly worried he might be wrong.
You opened your eyes and leaned back just a bit so you could look at him, a warm smile on your face.
âYoursâ, you asked, finishing his question. He then opened his eyes and nodded. âYes, she is. Although, Iâm surprised thatâs even up for question, who elseâs would she be?â
He shrugged. âI donât know, I guess my first thought was that youâd moved on, found someone who was actually worthy of your affection, it took me a minute to even consider the possibility that you hadnât, and that she was myâŠâ, he said, cutting himself off again, this time in an attempt to stifle the emotion welling in his voice. This was all so much in such a short span of time, and it was finally hitting him. Heâd gone from thinking you were lost to him and that heâd have to let you go, to finding out that, in fact, you werenât, and he didnât, that you still loved him with your whole being, you were still his, and on top of all that, he now had a daughter, he was a father. So, getting a bit emotional was completely understandable, and you gave him a minute before continuing the conversation.
âI know, itâs a lot to take in all at once, but you donât have to rush into anything if youâre not comfortable, we can take things as slow as you need to, she doesnât need to knowâŠâ, you began to explain, quickly getting cut off.
âNoâ, he said with a sense of urgency. âNo, I donât want to hide this from her, donât want you to have to hide it either. Weâll tell her, together.â
âYou sureâ, you asked.
He smiled and pulled your face closer, so your foreheads were touching again.
âIâve never been more sureâ, he responded, then slowly leaning back in, but before he could completely close the space he stopped and pulled back. âWell, almost never, there was that time I was very sure Rex would find us in that supply closet, really wish I hadnât been right about that one though.â
This sudden change of subject surprised you, but also had you bursting out into a fit of laughter, both at the way he so casually brought up the embarrassing incident, and also at the memory of Rexâs face when heâd opened that door and found you both in a very compromising position. It had taken him a good few weeks before he could look you in the eye again.
âI still canât believe he let that one slide, well, almost, I knew we wouldnât get out of that without at least one of us getting a talking toâ, you said.
Echo chuckled, remembering the twenty-minute-long lecture heâd received from his superior on the incident.
âYeah, but it was worth itâ, he said, lightly bumping your nose with his.
You let out a small laugh.
âYouâre an idiotâ, you told him playfully.
âAs long as Iâm still youâre idiotâ, he responded, his eyes suddenly looking deep into yours once more.
You reached your hand, that had been released seconds ago, to find his, that was now resting on your cheek, then finding the pendant that was still hanging from his fingers by its attached leather cord and taking it. You held the metal piece in your open palm, looking down at it for a moment before taking the cord in both hands and placing it around his neck, allowing the pendant to rest comfortably against his chest plate. You then rested your hand atop the piece, rubbing your index finger along its engraving.
You looked back to his eyes.
âAlwaysâ, you said with a smile.
This time he didnât stop as he leaned forward and captured your lips in another kiss, one that was just as passionate as the last, but that also held a promise of the future you both had hoped for, one that now had become possible again.
âWell, that was⊠unexpectedâ, Tech said from his place on the ramp, the two commandos having just witnessed the entirety of your interaction.
Hunter chuckled. âGo get the others, it looks like weâll be staying for a while longerâ, he told his brother.
Neither you, nor Echo, heard their brief conversation, too wrapped up in what you were doing, and too content to care about anything else. In this moment you were truly happy, as well as relieved, because for the first time, in a long time, you felt whole again.

Hello!! So, I realized this weekend that I am experiencing alterous attraction towards a friend and I've never realized that there was a name for it. It's a weird mix between platonic and romantic love for him and it's odd. We're also really touchy with each other and he's strangely one of the few people I allow to touch me on a daily basis. I have a slight aversion to touch, but I've never had a problem with him. He's also aspec (I believe he's asexual) , so if I were to tell anyone about being demiromantic, it would probably be him.
Anyways, I think the romantic attraction towards my other friend is fading and/or it was a way of my brain protecting my heart while I was trying to get over my former crush. I think. I'm not really sure on that front. Now as I'm typing it out, I think it may be another case of alterous attraction, but leaning more towards romantic than platonic and now it's heading more towards platonic. Love is weird.
Anyways, I'm out about being bi to my sister, which means I'm free to be out at school, which is weird in itself. I don't think I'll come out now, but it's nice to know it's an option.
On a final note, how are you and how is life going?
~Love Advice Anon
Hiya anon! Omg yes learning about alterous attraction explained so many things for me too - and it sounds really nice having someone like that in your life đ„ș
I think it's perfectly reasonable that your brain might've latched onto something else to distract you from your other crush - it sounded like you were having a tough time :(
Not sure if you have already, but what you described made me think you may want to look into
a) queerplatonic attraction - I find alterous describes my attraction way better than qp because it has no relation to platonic or romantic personally, but qp might be a useful concept for you?
And b) fluctuating attraction - sexuality can be pretty fluid anyway, but if you're finding your feelings confusing or like they change/appear/disappear more than you can make sense of, you might find comfort in seeing stuff about fluid labels like aroflux (/demiroflux), arofluid, or abroromantic or smth
feel free to ignore all that tho if it's not something you're bothered about or interested in ;)
Congrats on coming out to your sister!! đ I agree, it's nice to not have the pressure of being outed, even if you don't have any desire to come out more publicly
I'm doing alright đ
Finally got on top of a few health things in the last couple of days so that's good (pls if anyone has unlocked the secret to not being anxious about and putting off phone calls, tell me your ways). I also just recently finished all my assessments for the year so I'm officially on summer holidays now yayy đ Hopefully some beach days soon đ€

Ok, Kiwi's gogogoch.
I NEED Rowan in love Headcannons...
Like totally crazy for someone.
Like "Oh, you want to collar me and put a leash on me in my lycan form and walk me around like a dog? Whatever makes you happy boo." and "Oh, you wish to pet my lycan form? Yeah sure, let me lay my head on your lap."
Also his response to stupid ass questions asked by them like "Does your wolf have a different name?"
"Can you hear your wolf talking in your head like a different person?"
I NEED headcannons of big bad wolf man being a simp for his s.o!
Thanksss đ Love ya!
Ooooh OK some Rowan HC questions! đ sure I can answer the ones you've asked đMind if I throw in some other random ones too while I'm at it though? đ
Rowan HC's đș
If Rowan loves you, most things go, and he'd probably actually like you putting a collar on him and walking him around, but in a sexual kink kinda way and in HUMAN form, not in wolf form.
In wolf form, he would really enjoy scratches and pets from the person he loves, But ONLY you, nobody else he'd EVER let. He'd also fully allow scratches and pets in his human form from you, he still struggles at times differentiating between his more feral side and human side.
In your question involving "stupid ass questions," things like that would probably really confuse Rowan with him not being the brightest, hahaha.
MC: Does your wolf side have a different name?
Rowan: Huh?
MC: Like, is the wolf in you like a different person?
Rowan: ...What? No? I AM the wolf, what do you mean?
MC: Yeah but like, is it different?
Rowan: (?????)....I'm confused!? What do you mean?! *frowns*
đ€Łđ€Ł
Other random mix of HC's đș
Rowan can be a big dumb dumb and doesn't know his own strength. Cuddles are more like death grips, and he doesn't even realise until you're tapping him aggressively because you can't breathe lmao.
He's also fiercely protective over the person he loves, similar to Volo, he'll kill anyone in an instant who upsets you, even if its the smallest thing, but it's not going to be a pretty sight.
Rowans' diet is pretty extreme. He eats A LOT in one day, usually meat, and he likes it raw. Watching him eat also isn't the prettiest sight, man eats like a fucking wild animal (obviously)
Rowan CAN look very charming in his human form, especially when he cleans himself up a little, but he's not a charming person to be honest. đ€Ł
If Rowan gets home from being out in a rain, you'll know about it. He unfortunately smells like wet dog when he gets wet, even in human form.
He's a growler, in the bedroom, and in general, if he hears a noise in the middle of the night, he'll let out a little growl
Man's hairy, and he's not gonna shave for you. There would be NO point because it would grow back SUPER quickly.
Although Rowan has extremely good control of his form when it comes to changing and his emotions, if something pisses him off enough or if he gets TOO overwhelmed by something, he WILL transform in and instant, even though he won't mean to.
