Maybe it’s bc I’m in a bad headspace rn but I really could go on and write a gotdamn book about watching the tumblr cycle of watering down mental illness over and over that only gets broken when a popular blogger says “hey maybe we should talk about other aspects of this instead of just reducing it to ‘omg happy hand flappies’” and then everybody goes “oh yes I agree I’ve agreed with this sentiment the entire time” and then it gets added to the list of “things to never EVER joke or even talk about EVER or you are a bigot piece of shit” and then everybody goes on to fetishize the next Cute Disorder
