So interesting to read about Mephistopheles and his children. He sent another one of his cambion children- Antilia to be a spy in Archdevil Baalzebul’s court as a consort (which is interesting because that’s exactly what Haarlep is for Raphael imo.). He really thinks Raphael is that much of a threat. (or maybe he was just paranoid/preparing for all possibilities which is very Mephistopheles vibes) He’s also eaten more than one of his cambion children. He consumed Magadon Kest as well. But it seems almost all his children stayed in his service, Raphael was a lot more independent than a lot of Mephistopheles’s spawn. Mephistopheles resurrected that other consumed child in exchange for power (though he kept half his soul, basically keeping him at least semi-leashed to him forever). I wouldn’t be surprised if Mephistopheles always intended to sort of re-leash Raphael to him and maybe everything- letting the crown go temporarily, was to tie up the naughty end of a meddling and potentially extremely dangerous spawn. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up resurrecting Raphael as well, as one of his agents of course.

Which kind of makes sense. If he’s immortal he doesn’t care about them. He’s probably had#Thousands of children live entire lives. They mean nothing to him.
