Calling it now. Mufasa: The Lion King will will end with Simba and Nala adopting a second cub, and that the entire story of Mufasa and Scar winds up preparing Kiara for this new revelation about her family.

#the lion king #mufasa: the lion king #mufasa #simba #nala #kiara #TLK #Timon #Pumbaa #Timon and Pumbaa #Rafiki #i posted this prediction on the Lion King subreddit but TLDR #Rafiki's voice actor states that Nala will go missing in the film and that Simba will look for her #All whilst Rafiki + Timon & Pumbaa look after Kiara and tell her the tale of Mufasa's rise to power #A lot of people suspect that a second cub will be involved in this B plot but I personally think that it'll be adopted #Like Simba finds Nala and they both find a cub washed up by a rainstorm.#Much like how Scar saved Mufasa #Simba and Nala save the cub #They come home soaking wet and exhausted and introduce Kiara to her younger adopted sibling - The new royal of Pride Rock #We close off the film with a reprise of Lin Manuel Miranda's “I Always Wanted a Brother.”#Roll credits #It would wrap everything full circle and perfectly mirror the original story's bookend of a new cub being born #If they do take this route I'm hoping that the hypothetical adopted cub is an original character and a girl #Cause we could balance out the franchise with 2 daughters of Simba and Nala and 2 sons #Plus I do not want to see Kopa or Kion in this LMAO #My alternative theory is that the story is being told to Kiara so that they can butter her up for the reveal that she herself is adopted #which is also a cool move but I like this second adopted cub idea better #I will crawl into a fetal position and cry if this does not happen /hj
