hc + preferences!
one word headcanon prompts | accepting
────── ❀•°❀°•❀ ──────
When it comes to voicing his preferences, Rafiel tends to be in a funny spot. On the one hand, as a Heron who has retained the passive nature typical for his kind, he tends to be very flexible - or perhaps it's more fitting to say that he will often be fine going with the flow and following the choices of others. On the other, as a Heron just... in general, there are some areas where his preference his set in stone because the alternative may just kill him, such as food-related matters. We know that Reyson got very sick from attempting to eat meat, and Rafiel might just handle it even worse.
Outside of those situations however, Rafiel will usually only voice his preferences if asked, and stress that he does not intend to push them upon others. If he can adapt to what others choose, he will.

DVD Commentary of: "Winry?”
Winry looked up from the maintenance she was doing on his automail arm. With their road trip fast approaching, she had decided to give him one more automail check to make sure there would be no critical mishaps on the road where they couldn’t get to a hospital or a doctor.
“Yes, Ed?”
He bit his lip and looked away from her. Silence stretched between them like a rubber band to the point of snapping while Winry waited for him to find the words he needed.
“I don’t think I’m ready.”
He risked a glance at her. Every single muscle in his body was taut and a sheer line of sweat had appeared on his forehead. Winry could tell the admission had cost him.
“Ready for what?”
“Leaving," he breathed. “I know I said I could do the recovery in one month and all, but…” He huffed in self-deprecation. “I think I spoke too soon. I need more time.”
Winry put her screwdriver down and removed her gloves before grabbing his hand and gently squeezing it.
“Do you– do you think I’m weak?” He croaked." I would love to hear some behind the scenes of Ed grappling with this realization that his recovery/thoughts/emotions were not prepared in one month like the thought. did this scene have any alternative settings or pacing? <3
Hello hello, thank you for the ask!
So in the very early outline of itcol, this scene didn't exist. Ed and Winry were supposed to leave a lot sooner and not spend that much time with Sarah and Yuri. In fact Ed was pretty much supposed to take Winry off their hands almost immediately. But then I grew attached to Sarah and Yuri and the found parents possibilities. I also really liked the idea of them being there to supervise both Ed and Winry getting back to healthier levels and the relationship both between Ed and Sarah but also Yuri.
So here Ed and Winry have moved out from Sarah and Yuri's house into Ed's flat to see how they both cope with daily life. They have a routine, they have time and space to take a breather and enjoy some sense of normalcy. And I think that in the quiet of all of that Ed started to realise he wanted to be 100% sober and in the right mindset before seeing Al again - especially because Al is smart and would have seen right through Ed if he wasn't in the right place and just wanted his brother back with no inner work or accountability.
And also, Ed wants to do right by Winry. He knows he will probably have to find a way to perform alchemy to send her back and he wants to make sure he does it with his full capacities so she gets sent back in one piece. He's also gotten a renewed appreciation for her craft and her company after not seeing her for a whole decade. And to be honest I think he really likes getting to live with Winry and develop more of a bond after everything that happened.
But mostly I wanted to show how Edward "I'll do a three year recovery in one even if I'm coughing up blood" Elric finally slows down and allows himself to take the time he needs to be at his best so he can show up for the people he loves.
As for behind the scenes... I can picture Ed imagining leaving and being filled with a sense of dread over how he would cope without the safety of Sarah and Yuri's home and Winry having all the tools and meds to help him. I can see him imagining Al in front of him and asking him if he's truly sober and ready to never drink again, and finding himself unable to reply with anything but an earnest "yes". And seeing the effort Winry has put into getting him better and not wanting to waste it over his own impulsive nature, too. Also not being contradicted over his ability to do it in one month made him question whether he could actually do it and seeing the date they were supposed to leave come closer and realising "oh shit. I can't do this". It cost him a lot to admit, but he knew he would have a safe space with Winry to admit it. I don't think he expected getting kissed on the cheek though >:)
Thank you for your question, I hope this answers some of it!

While Rantaro wasn't entirely opposed to stealing a peek at records or paying someone off if it would grant him the information he needed, he was opposed to facing arrest for it. Shuichi did agree that it was often necessary to visit the scene of the crime in order to examine details and gather clues. As he'd suspected, their approaches were similar in that way. What he hadn't quite been expecting to hear was the idea of coming along with him for the sake of investigating. That was certainly an interesting hypothetical. There was no way the detective would (or could!) drop everything for the sake of joining him on an adventure. He wasn't going to get his hopes up about that. Besides, even if he did have someone tag along, they'd just drag him down. He'd been betrayed by detectives before, who said they cared and then gave up at the drop of a hat. He wasn't so trusting.
“I wouldn't ask you to do that. I'm sure a detective like you has more than enough on his plate without an international case.” It was a big case, after all. Even if Shuichi decided to undertake one, there were a number more to look into. It was overwhelming for one person, and he would know.
As he had this thought, though, the question was asked of him: was she important to him? She must have been. He blinked. Well, based on those details, he supposed it made sense to come to such a conclusion, but he'd been hoping they wouldn't be picked up on so quickly. In retrospect, maybe, but he was dealing with someone who had to use inductive reasoning as a talent. He chuckled sheepishly. “Ah, I guess I can't expect to keep that much away from you, huh? She's a family member of mine.” He wouldn't give away the degree of separation, as he doubted he would need to. Surely he wouldn't go so far out of the way for someone like a cousin unless they'd been particularly close. The most likely option was that she would be a sister. “I'd rather not go into too much detail about it here, but it's important to me that I find her.”
He had expected that answer, and while Rantaro wasn’t wrong, Shuichi was often very busy with cases; he would still make time for Rantaro, anyway. That was more important to him than the everyday small cases he takes on.... “Come now, you don’t have to worry about that." He chuckles. "I’d make my schedule free so that I can dedicate fully to helping you out, of course. I happily wouldn’t mind, if it means I can be of much help as I can for you.”
Of course, he’d still understand if Rantaro still might not accept his help, and hopes he doesn’t sound pushy: rather, he just wanted to reassure him that he would happily offer to do something even as big as traveling with him to help find the girl. For Shuichi, there was almost no amount of lengths he wouldn’t go, if it meant he could use his detective skills to help, even moreso for a classmate and friend.
“A-Ahaha....” He rubs the back of his head at that. So he was right on the mark, after all. “I see... so she really is a family member of yours.” And as Rantaro predicted, Shuichi didn’t need to guess too hard the exact relation: he was almost 100% positive she has to be in his immediate family, like a little sister. "O-Oh, no problem! I'm sorry if I was overstepping. I understand.... and that's why, I want to help you, Rantaro. Not because I don't think you can't do it alone, but I can imagine how extraordinarily difficult it would be to do so. And....you deserve to be able to ask for help, even if I understand that... it's much easier said then done. If....you want to, of course... I don't wish to be forceful."

New idea!!! Could you write a story where Mari and Tim are full-blooded siblings except Mari was taken away from the Drakes. Mari would be Dick's age in this. The Drake's finally pass away so Bruce goes to adopt Tim but he's having trouble because Marinette is doing the same. It's a custody battle. Tim is confused because he doesn't know Mari (she was taken away before she was born and CPS wasn't dealing with that family again) but Mari knows about him. Maybe Dick/Mari?
I have a feeling I took this in a different direction than you meant for it to be, but I hope you still like it :) @elements1999
Tim’s Decision
There were two things that Timothy Jackson Drake was sure of.
One, that he had never seen Dick so flustered before in his life. The poor guy was tripping over his own feet, stumbling into the court hallway as if he had been drinking all morning, his face resembling something close to the apple Bruce forced him to eat for breakfast.
And the second, well, he was sure he had never met someone as persistently, annoyingly, upbeat as Dick Grayson until seconds ago when she reached out her hand to introduce herself.
“Marinette Dupain-Cheng. I’m sorry we have to meet under these circumstances, Timothy. This isn’t my first time reaching out, but it certainly is my first time getting through. Maybe after this, we can grab a bite to eat, get to know each other?”
Tim slightly withdrew his hand, reaching out to steady a swaying Dick. He wanted to ask him what could’ve warranted this behavior from him, but he wasn’t sure he was prepared to hear the answer.
“Miss Dupain-Cheng-”
“Please, call me Marinette! I’m not married, nor am I a middle-aged woman. I’m only 21 after all. You’re 14, right Timothy?”
“If I call you by your name, call me Tim. Timothy sounds like a rich brat.”
Marinette’s giggle earned a small smile from the boy. He had no idea who she was, but her presence was soothing and he didn’t feel any immediate danger. Besides, she wasn’t the first person to approach him in the past week. News of his parent’s death traveled very quickly and many people attempted to adopt him in hopes that his fortune would be theirs.
Bruce was quick to wave them off, offering to adopt Tim himself, but before Tim could even think about accepting, CPS contacted Bruce with the proposal from one Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
“I hadn’t realized that Bruce Wayne had caught your attention. I really want to make sure that you are able to have a regular childhood or at least some resemblance of a few normal years. If you think Bruce is a better option for you, I promise I’ll pull out right now, but if you have any doubts at all, I want to let you know that I want to fight for you, Tim.”
“I haven’t made any decisions yet and considering Bruce let me meet with you, I have to assume you’re not after my parent’s fortune.”
Marinette’s smile tightened at the mention of the fortune or was it his parents? He couldn’t tell. She was definitely holding something back, but they had just met and he wasn’t in any position to be pressuring her for some answers. What he was in the position to do was knock some sense into a now drooling Dick Grayson.
“Knock it off will you, you’re heavy and gross. You’re making a fool of the Wayne name and aren’t you supposed to be my guardian today?”
Dick muttered out something that sounded like an okay, but if Tim was honest, he wasn’t sure it was anything more than a few syllables to lower his guard.
“This is what Bruce considers a capable guardian? I’m not sure I trust him as far as I could throw him. What can it do?”
Marinette reached forward, poking Dick’s cheek, enough force to snap him out of whatever daze he had been in the past hour.
“Dick Grayson-Wayne ma’am, a pleasure to meet you.” Instantly he bowed, his hand extended as if he were waiting for something that wouldn’t come.
“Mhmm, so you are Bruce’s ward? You look like you could be his blood child. Does he have a thing for dark hair and light eyes? Creepy.”
Dick’s hand clutched his chest as if he had been struck directly in his core. Marinette turned her attention from him and back to where Tim stood.
“Anyways, I believe we mentioned lunch earlier. I’ve already submitted my application to CPS and after this formal meeting, you’re free to meet up with me whenever you would like as long as a third party comes with us. Can you think of anyone you want to come with us?”
Tim glanced to the side where he could feel Dick’s puppy eyes boring into him. He wouldn’t be his first choice but if it came down to him of Jaime, he was pretty sure he had a better chance of reigning in Dick.
“Do you mind if Dick comes with us?”
Marinette’s smile was shaken with uncertainty as if she was thinking of protesting but didn’t want to overstep any boundaries. Tim felt terrible putting her in the position but he was sure that Dick was her best chance given his options. “Of course not, where would you like to go?”
The lunch moved smoothly with Tim learning so much about her. She was originally from the Gotham foster system herself, but a young couple who couldn’t have kids adopted her at a younger age, moving her to Paris with them. She attended the equivalent of middle and high school over there where she met many lifelong friends. Starting late in her middle school years, she upstarted a fashion business where she had several big-name clients months into her start-up. Now she made personal designs, but many were taken care of by her team. She only stitched a very few commissions for close personal friends.
She was remarkable, someone who truly started from nothing. His parents did something similar as did Bruce’s. It was something he wanted for himself, something he wasn’t sure he could ever achieve with either his or Bruce’s fortune.
The custody battle was put on hold at Tim’s request. He was really intrigued by Marinette and Bruce pressuring him to take his time and really think over his choices finally led him to that decision. However, no matter how much Bruce tried to be a neutral party in the matter, Tim could feel the strain it put on their work relationship.
The more he saw Marinette, the more mess-ups occurred on patrol. Bruce would constantly tread into Tim’s area, always dropping in on his battles. It was as if he lost all trust in Tim as if he was trying to rely less on him, trying to go back to doing things on his own.
It was so frustrating. No matter how many times he told Bruce that he could still be Robin no matter who he chose, it seemed to mean nothing to him. He continually waved him off, claiming to have no idea what he was talking about.
A month after he met Marinette, Tim snuck out for the first time, begging her to meet him at a coffee shop near her hotel.
“Tim, this is dangerous. If CPS finds out we meet behind Bruce’s back, it could nullify my application.”
“I know, I know.” His head dropped to the table, buried in his arms trying to suffocate his frustration. “I just needed to get away from all of them. I think the fact that I consider you a serious option really upsets Bruce. It’s not that I don’t consider him a serious option as well, it’s just-he’s just-”
Tim let out a sigh, slowly sitting back up unsure where his thoughts were taking him.
“Tim,” Marinette reached across the table, laying her hand on his arm. “if this is too stressful for you, I can pull out of this.”
Her touch was so gentle, so soothing. It felt like the mother he never had, the kind of mother he yearned for but never realized. He really didn’t want her to leave his life just because he couldn’t give up being Robin.
“I just feel so selfish,” his vision started to blur, Marinette’s figure coming in and out of focus. “I want to keep the life I’ve made for myself here, but I also don’t feel like I can grow the way I want to under Bruce’s supervision.”
Marinette didn’t say anything for a moment, she just allowed him to cry, her thumb moving in small circles on his arm. Tim reveled in the feeling, reveled in the silence. He hadn’t had this in a while, he hadn’t had comfort for as long as he could remember. Even at his parent’s funeral, people just commented on how strong he was and how smart he was and told him he would be just fine. Not once did anyone try to hug him or ask if he was okay. They just assumed.
Everyone always just assumed.
“Tim, I haven’t been 100% honest with you since I met you. I didn’t want it to mess with your decision, but I think it’s time you knew.”
“I already know.” Tim moved his arms from her touch, his heart throbbing from the loss of touch. “I did my research on you, especially considering how Bruce let me meet you so quickly. You’ve done a lot of work to bury it, but the Will mentioned you, or at least your old name.”
Marinette’s smile was tight, her eyes as watery as his.
“Is that what’s holding you back from making the decision you want to make?”
Tim wanted to deny that he had no clear choice, but that was a lie he had been feeding himself. He wanted to stay with Bruce, in Gotham. His life was here, his friends were here, his passions were here. The only thing that wasn’t, was her.
“I want Bruce to be my official guardian. I want to be Tim Drake-Wayne.” Marinette nodded, understanding pouring from her and crashing into him. He felt like all the stress from the past month had been pushed out and replaced with relief. “But I really did want to get to know you, I didn’t want to make a decision because you would be out of my life for good. I’ve already lost you once, CPS took you didn’t they?”
“Right before mom became pregnant with you. I’m sure it happened to you too, but I was only six. They left me alone, not even a butler or maid to watch after me. They tried to argue with CPS that I was a competent child who could handle groceries and looking after myself but they didn’t buy it. My existence hadn’t even been released to the public so they didn’t take it too hard, losing me that is. But you, they immediately brought you into the limelight, almost like a challenge to CPS, I’m assuming that’s why they didn’t get involved for you no matter how many times my parent’s called and reported them.”
Tim couldn’t help the chuckle that bubbled out. It seemed to have shocked Marinette too as she gave way to her own giggle threatening to spill.
“Marinette, can I ask you something selfish?”
“Of course, mon frère.” Her hand reached back across the table, gripping his tightly as if pressing him to ask the question he dreaded most.
“Will you still be apart of my life? I’m not asking you to move to Gotham, but maybe a monthly trip? A weekly dinner? Something? I just don’t want to lose you again.”
The tears that had been pooling in her eyes finally slipped free, her smile blinding.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
“Bruce, Marinette is coming over for game night tonight!”
“Marinette?” Dick’s head popped around the corner, the red plastered by the mere mention of her name. It sickened Tim. “But I have patrol tonight! Bruce can’t the police do their jobs for one night!”
Bruce chuckled as he set up the table, a stack of every board game imaginable piled in the middle.
“I suppose you can push it back from 11 to 5 to 2 to 5. After all, I’m not heartless.”
Tim let out an involuntary groan as he slipped into the couch, wishing it would swallow him whole.
“Whose side are you on here Bruce? She’s already your honorable daughter. Do you really need her to be part of your legal family that bad?”
“I haven’t the slightest clue what you mean.” His smirk only made Tim want to fold in on himself even more.
“Bruce, if you’re gonna set me up, can it at least be with Tim’s more attractive siblings? Like what about that Jason guy? Or Barbara Gordan?” Tim popped up in his seat, a smile beaming from ear to ear.
“Marinette’s here!” He waved her over to the seat beside him before a certain older lovebird could intervene.
“I am attractive! Why won’t you accept me Marinette?” Dick wiped away fake tears as he fell dramatically to the floor by her feet.
Tim could feel his heart overflowing for the first time in years. His life felt so fulfilled, like all of the missing pieces finally found a place. As the night continued on, only one thought stayed prominent in his mind.
He couldn’t be happier with his decision.

Sleep had been avoiding you for the past 3 hours as you tossed in your bed again and again. You eventually opened your eyes, giving up all your hopes to fall asleep, and quietly slipped from your warm sheets. Your eyes wandered to Hermione, who was peacefully lying on the other side of the room, you smiled to yourself and left the dorm.
The cold stone floor was sending chills through you whole body and you wrapped your arms around your body to keep yourself a tad bit warm. You looked down at your bare feet and silently cursed under your breath. I should’ve thought this through.
The Fat Lady frowned at you that you woke her up in the middle of the night as you left the Gryffindor common room, and you whispered a quick apology.
You didn’t waste your time looking left or right, at this point you didn’t really care any more if you get more detention, the scar on your hand itching slightly. Umbridge was surely in her pink fluffy bed, thinking about another restrictions for the Hogwarts students to follow.
You chuckled to yourself at the thought, turning right. You didn’t have a planned destination to reach, you just mindlessly wandered around the castle, watching the dark shadows dance on the floor. You shivered again and your feet started to feel a bit numb.
“Well, well, well. What do we have here?” a sly voice echoed through the deserted corridor, making you froze on your spot abruptly. You slowly turned around on your heel to face Draco Malfoy. A cocky grin was gracing his pale face, his arms folded on his chest as he eyed you from head to toe. You couldn’t help it but roll your eyes at his smug behaviour, taking a slight step back.
“I could ask the same question, Malfoy,” you smiled innocently, hoping to distract him a little to be able to run back to your common room.
“Not so quickly, Y/L/N,” he sniggered as he looked through your thoughts easily, taking a few steps towards you.
Another plan was slowly forming inside your head. You knew very well that negotiating with Slytherins, especially Draco, wasn't the best way to get yourself out of trouble, but nothing else came to your mind at the moment. “How abou-”
Your voice ceased immediately. Someone was coming your way and by the sound of the clapping noise on the stone floor, it couldn’t be anyone else but Dolores Umbridge. Or Filch in high heels. Either option didn’t look promising to you.
But Draco was quick to act, apparently he’d done this before. He seized your arm and pulled you behind one of the curtains that were decorating the wall.
His whole body was pressed against your own, his suprisingly warm hand was covering your mouth as he stared into your eyes. “Do not move.” his lips moved but no sound came out. You nodded slightly and Draco removed his hand slowly.
Judging by the approaching noise, Umbridge just turned around in your corridor.
Draco must have sensed your nervosity (that wasn’t definitely caused by some toad in pink now) and grabbed both of your hands and placed them on his chest. A smug smirk appeared on his lips as he lowered his head a little. Only few inches were between the two of you and you found yourself closing your eyes and leaning in. His scent was intoxicating, as well as his hot touch. Your mind was screaming, your body slightly shaking, and you suddenly felt all dizzy and light-headed.
Umbridge was now only a couple of meters away and still coming closer.
“You make a sound and we’re both doomed.” Draco whispered into your ear, his lips brushed against your skin so lightly, like a wind caresses leaves and grass.
And then, when you were almost 100% positive that Umbridge was just passing the two of you, Draco pressed a wet kiss on your neck, sucking slightly at the sensitive skin. Your breath hitched in your throat and it took all your strenght not to let out a satisfactory moan. Your head was spinning as he kept on kissing your neck, making sure to mark his teritorry, which he would’t admit out loud in a million years.
You swallowed slowly, tilting your head a little to provide him with a better access and you felt how he smiled against your skin.
If someone asked you in the moment, who on earth is Umbridge, you wouldn’t be able to give the correct answer. Hell, you didn’t even remember your own name when Draco’s lips were now pressed against your jawline, his one hand wrapped around your waist and the other one gripping your hip tightly.
When you thought you couldn’t be quiet for any other second, Draco Malfoy kissed you properly on your mouth, supressing your moan. You had no idea how long you were glued to each other, it could be seconds as well as years, his skilled hands were roaming all over your body, trying to imprint you into his mind.
To your own displeasure, you had to pull away. This was not you, randomly making out in the middle of the night with the most popular Slytherin guy. Draco leaned closer one more and pressed a last soft kiss on your lips, then stepping away completely.
Both of your chests were raising rapidly and even though he was now standing almost a meter from you, you could still feel his hand holding you closer to him, his soft hair and most precisely his devil lips.
“What the hell was that?” you managed to get out of you, still whispering.
“What?” he raised his eyebrows as he tugged his hands into his pockets.
“Snogging me.”
After a few seconds of complete silence Draco spoke up again. “Don't flatter yourself, Y/L/N, it’s not like I fancy or something.”
You laughed sarcastically, “Oh, please! I could feel your hard-on.”
“Yeah?” he raised his voice slightly, stepping closer again, “well… you didn’t exactly struggle, did you, Y/L/N?”
You glared at him, not answering. His typical smirk was once again gracing his face and you couldn’t think of anything but how much you’d love to kiss it away.
“Next night, same time?” his voice filled your ears again and you met his grey eyes.
You nodded and with fireworks in your stomach (that Fred and George Weasley would be proud to produce) you parted your ways.

Alright this one is kinda short but I needed a cliffhanger, and I need to get to fifteen now. Also, I had to write the ending of this in the car and it's difficult so I ended it where I did. Plus I love watching y'all squirm. SUFFER.
----------------------
Rafael hadn’t texted you back since you told him you didn’t care whether he believed you or not, maybe he had gotten the hint and decided to leave you alone. Why didn’t that make you feel any better? You knew what you had told Sonny was true; you couldn’t be in any kind of relationship with anyone but alcohol.
You’d never admit it to Sonny since he was so proud of you lately, but the monster inside you may be present more than you let on. It wasn’t big things that set you off sometimes, sometimes it was just one bad grade on a test, or being lonely.
You knew you needed to reach out to someone, anyone other than Sonny. Get some friends of your own, people you could talk to. But you were too ashamed of your problems and your life to ever approach anyone. Even when students in your class would ask you to go out with them after school, you’d always decline in fear of what you might do while you were out. You could keep yourself from having more than one drink on your own, but the social pressure of being around other people drinking made you just want to keep going. And you knew where that led. Where it always led.
You had kept the monster at bay for so long, it was exhausting most days. And now that you had fed it and let it loose, you were too tired to even try and reign it back in. So here you were, practically unable to move from being so sick from drinking fucking mouthwash rather than ride out your cravings.
You looked up at the sky and began to pray for God to just take you right there and then, just so you would have to stop feeling like this. Not just physically ill, but completely devastated and heartbroken that the one time you had ever opened yourself to someone, opened yourself to love, the monster inside you killed it. Just like it killed everything. Now you just wanted it to kill you. You were just about to grab some pure rubbing alcohol from under your bathroom sink to drink, you knew it was lethal if you drank about a capful. You had it up to your lips when you heard a banging on your front door.
“Y/N! Y/N open this door!”
Were you still that fucked up or was that actually Rafael banging on your door? No, it couldn’t be. Could it? You decided it was worth at least checking, if you had hallucinated it you could always come back to the bathroom. You forced yourself to stand up and hobbled towards your front door, still afraid to open it. If it really was him, you didn’t want him to see you like this. Your t-shirt was covered in bright green vomit stains, your hair was messy from puking, your hadn’t checked but you figured your face was probably disgusting.
“...I’m not home!” The words came out before your sense kicked in to tell you that was literally the most idiotic thing you could say. Clearly he’d know you were fucked up now.
“I’m not kidding! I’ll break down this door, I swear to God,” His voice was angrier than you’d ever heard him. Well, that wasn’t saying much considering you hadn’t known him that long but still.
“Uh...okay, just a second!” You called nervously, doing your best to quickly change your shirt and fix your hair.
You grabbed a semi clean t-shirt laying on your couch and threw your hair up in a messy ponytail, wiping the dried vomit and drool from your face. You glanced in the mirror, you looked messy but just messy enough you were pretty sure you could pull off “I’m emotionally destroyed because of you” not “I’m totally trashed and fucked in the head because of you,” You tried walking as straight as you could to the door and softly opened it a bit, not letting him inside.
“Hey…” You gave him a sheepish smile. Wait, weren’t you supposed to be mad at him? Don’t act nice now just because you’re trying to act sober.
“I mean...that’s a pretty lively looking corpse there, counselor,” You smirked.
“...What?” He raised an eyebrow.
“Weren’t you the one who said you’d never be caught dead in Jersey?” You smirked harder. Damn, even when you were on the verge of dying you were smooth.
“Let me in,” Rafael said flatly.
“Uh, no,” You said mockingly.
“Let me in,” He repeated more sternly.
“Do you have a warrant?” You asked with an amused smile.
“Dammit Y/N don’t make me shove this door open,”
“Oh okay so now you’re threatening to break into my apartment? Why don’t you yell that a little louder, maybe my neighbor will call the cops,” You yelled at him while gesturing down the hall.
“...Please let me in?” His voice lowered, his eyes softened. You were a sucker for those eyes, no matter how mad or worried about appearances you were.
“...Fine,” You sighed and released your hold on the door and walked away quickly to sit on the couch. You didn’t want him to realize you couldn’t stand without holding onto something.
“Fuck, I knew it…” He muttered as he glanced around your apartment, then focused on you.
“Knew what?” You crossed your arms, playing it cool.
“You’re drunk right now, aren’t you?” He looked at you pitifully, not livid like he was a minute ago.
“What?” You kept your composure. “Uh, I’m sorry Rafael, do you see any empty bottles here? Any FULL bottles for that matter?” You gestured around your apartment while acting offended he would even think that.
“My dad was an alcoholic, Y/N,” He said softly which made you angrier, why was he doing this?
“Um okay, so that has to do with me why--?”
“Tell me right now if I smelled your breath that it wouldn’t be overwhelmingly ‘clean’,” He talked over you.
“....What?” You blinked, trying desperately to act oblivious.
Fuck, why did he know that was a thing? Well, obviously he just said it. If you weren’t so angry or out of your mind right now, you’d feel absolutely terrible for being like this around him now that you knew he’d been through this before.
“So it’s a crime to have dental hygiene now?” You smarmed.
“Dammit Y/N I know what you’re doing!” Now he was getting angry again, he couldn’t stand that you weren’t taking this seriously. He couldn’t stand watching another person he cared about completely shit faced in front of him, acting as if he was the one in the wrong.
“And what am I doing, Rafael?”
“Sonny might be naïve, but I know what it looks like when an alcoholic is hiding their drinking!” He accused you.
“God dammit…” you muttered.
So many things were buzzing in your head at that moment. One you now felt ashamed that he was seeing you like this, two you were upset that he knew all your tricks, and finally you were somewhat happy and hopeful that he cared enough to come for you.
“Did you have an actual reason for coming over here, or did Sonny just send you to lecture me because he’s tired of doing it?”
“...Can you drink some coffee or something?”
“What?” You furrowed your eyebrows. “Why?”
“I can’t talk to you when you’re like this,”
“What? Oh suddenly I must be out of my mind trashed because I’m mad at you? Guess what Barba, this is 100% snarky sober me,” You lied.
“Mad at me?” He laughed. “Why in God’s name are you mad at me?!”
“After the way you treated me--”
“The way I treated you?!” He cut you off angrily. “I treated you with nothing but caring and respect, Y/N. Even after you sat there in my apartment throwing a temper tantrum like a petulant drunken toddler!”
“You--” You were livid at him calling you a toddler.
“Just because Sonny told you what I usually act like towards-- lovers, doesn’t make it true with you. Did I ever, ever act like you were some ‘conquest’?” He asked you.
“...No,” You bit your lip nervously.
“Did I ever make you feel cheap, or unwanted?”
“No…” You looked at the floor.
“Didn’t I tell you that you were different, that you meant something to me?”  He gave you a sad look, as if he was crushed that you didn't believe in him.
“But how do I know that wasn’t just a line?!” You protested.
“Because I’m here!” He gestured around your apartment.
“And why are you here?” You pressed him.
“I don’t know!” He put his hands over his head.
“...That’s not an answer,”  You crossed your arms.
“It’s the only answer I can give you, Y/N,” He finally sat down next to you on the couch.
You curled up your knees to your chest instinctively, still trying to hide your inebriation and the smell of your breath; even though you knew it was futile at this point.
“So, you come all the way here to bang on my door and yell at me, but you have no idea why?” You continued to be defensive, trying to keep him off your scent.
“What do you want me to say, Y/N? Huh?” He threw up his hands.
“Do you want me to say it’s because I’m in love with you? Because for the first time in my life I found someone that I want to be with all the time, because you make me the happiest I’ve been in a long time, maybe ever?”
“Uh no,” You rolled your eyes. “I didn’t ask you to lie,”
“...I’m not lying,”  He looked at you very seriously, trying to take your hand.
“Yes, you are,” You shook your head and pulled away from him. “In fact I know exactly why you’re here,”
“....What is happening right now?” Rafael asked himself softly. He had just sat there and poured out his heart to you, and you were dismissing him completely. This is exactly why he should have just let you be.
“What’s happening, is that you-- you feel bad that you couldn’t... I don’t know, ‘deal’ with your Daddy issues," You air quoted Daddy, making him shift uncomfortably.
"That is so--" He tried denying it.
"True?" You gave him a look. "Let me guess, you couldn't 'save' him as a kid, right?"
"...That wasn't on me," He muttered, looking at the floor.
"You don't believe that," you scoffed. "I know you don't."
"And how do you know that?" He looked at you skeptically.
"Because I feel like I failed my parents, and they were the shittiest people on earth!" You exclaimed.
"How did you fail them? You weren't even--"
"By being born, Raff," You clarified.
"Carino, don't--"
"Look, my point is you've got this 'white knight syndrome', but you know what I learned? You can't save everyone, so you shouldn't even try,"
"That's a great philosophy," he scoffed. "So you don't even try?'
"Oh fuck off," You rolled your eyes. "I can't even save myself, let alone anyone else,"
"That's not true," he protested. "You saved me,"
"Oh my god," you made a fake gagging noise. "You're just saying that so it'll appease some kind of guilt,"
"I have zero to feel guilty about," he shook his head. For some reason that made you even angrier.
"Alright well good! So you can leave,"  You pointed towards the door.
"No I'm not leaving, not until you acknowledge what I said," He crossed his arms.
"What? About you being in love with me?" You scoffed. "I told you that's a load of shit."
"And why do you say that?" He asked.
"For one, because you don't fall in love with someone just because they're good in bed," you gave him a look.
"That's not why--"
"And for two, nobody can be in love with a monster," You finished over him.
"You're not a monster--" he tried pulling you towards him but you stood up.
"Yes I am!" You screamed.
Well that was a bad idea. All of a sudden it was as if the chemicals from the mouthwash were sizzling around your insides. You doubled over in pain, the room was going dark.
"Y/N? Oh my god, baby hold on--" he grabbed you and pulled you into his lap while he dialed 911.
"It's okay, you're okay...just...just hold on, please…" he pleaded with you while stoking your hair and kissing the top of your head, gripping you as if you were going to disappear if he let up.
That was the last thing you heard before everything went black.

dar'manda (Mando x f!reader)
Chapter 1: The Only Way Out is Through
Tumblr media
Summary: Things have been quiet since The Mandalorian's disappearing act on Nevarro. However, things change quickly at his sudden return, and the changes are sure to impact your own life. That is, if you don't screw it up for yourself.
Warnings: Canon typical violence, yearning/awkward flirting/reader doesn’t know how to act around Mando, Cara Dune lol (I feel like she needs a warning)
Word Count: 3.8k
Prologue - Next
In the weeks that the Mandalorian had been gone, things on Nevarro had taken a turn for the worse. Ever since making his grand escape, remaining Imperial officers seemed to get word of a Mandalorian bounty hunter gone rogue. He took some sort of “package” right out of their hands, and they really didn’t like that. So, they sent out every bounty hunter idiotic enough to go after a Mandalorian. And to double their efforts, they effectively made Nevarro their new base.
Well, that probably wasn’t exactly accurate, but either way it seemed like every stormtrooper left was sent to keep watch in case their prize ever returned.
You could not imagine that anyone would be stupid enough to come back to the place where they so flagrantly disregarded every rule of the Guild, and yet – there he was. Walking into town at the side of his...former boss. As he approached however, you noticed he probably wasn't there by choice. His hands were bound in front of him, and a muscley looking woman, with a very large gun, was not too far behind them. Well then, you think to yourself, I guess no one crosses the Guild, not even Mando.
Just as they enter town you being to consider the precarity of your own situation. With the town being occupied by stormtroopers, times are tough. Curfews have been put in place and wandering through town is highly discouraged. The marketplace has turned into a ghost town as people have become less and less inclined to spend time outside of their homes. They might come by for the basics, but business is definitely not what it used to be. So, you often find yourself with “free time” – moments you should realistically be working – where you instead spy on the invaders who have ruined your already unpleasant life. Basically, the exact thing you were doing in that very moment.
It's a matter of fate that he showed up just as you made your way to the town entrance. Even more so when you overhear a conversation between the Guild leader and the Mandalorians captor.
“Things got really heated once Mando crashed the safehouse” you hear the Guild leader say.
“Slip him his blaster” whispers the woman. These words bring you utter confusion. Did she mean slip Mando his blaster?
“Not yet,” he says under his breath.
And suddenly you are more confused than before. Why would she say something like that? How did any of this make sense? You’re thankful you were not seen as they pass by you, but you think you perceive a subtle change in the reflection from the shiny metal helmet that your eyes have been locked on to. His gaze fell to the metal orb that was trailing the trio through the city centre. When he looked back up however, he did not return his gaze to the direction he had been looking previously. Now you think, and you know it’s completely self-centred of you to do so, but you feel like he is staring straight at you. You don't think he would be able to see into the shadows that were providing your cover, but something about the angle of his visor as he walks by sends a shiver down your spine.
The three of them and the metal orb enter the cantina and you adjust your position in attempt for a better view. Only a few minutes later does a blaster shot eviscerate the long transparisteel window on the front wall of the building, allowing you a glimpse of the chaos inside. A plethora of various blaster bolts ricochet through the building, evidence that the situation was drastically more complicated than you initially observed. However, the next events prove that things could still get worse for the group inside.
From the safety of your hiding spot, you see the scene unfold. The entire courtyard of the village is filled with stormtroopers in seconds, and then you hear it. The unmistakable screech that has haunted you since you were young. A sound that would forever be branded into your head, as it signaled the end of your childhood. The last time you heard that sound was the last time you saw your father and brother.
The Tie Fighter lands right in front of the cantina, completely blocking your view of any further events. You take that as your sign to get the hell out of there, knowing the level of destruction that is sure to follow. Even with the high amount of adrenaline pumping through your veins, you manage to keep a level head and find your way back to the marketplace, where most other citizens are gathered.
You quickly alert everyone to the impending danger nearby, and although some are slow to react, they begin to gather their belongings and search for safety.
Luckily, you recall a nearby alley that would lead to the part of town furthest away from the calamity, and you tell them all to make their way there immediately. Once you were sure that no one was left behind you head towards the alley only for an explosion to go off somewhere near the cantina. And although the source of the blast is far enough away not to injure you, the shockwave ripples through a one of the buildings, whose integrity was already questionable, causing it to crumble and block your previously secure exit route. With your mind in panic mode, you glance over to a spot which had caught your eye a hundred times before, a spot you kept noticing the Mandalorian disappear to.
You quickly run for cover hoping no other buildings decide to fall apart in the meantime, and you find the passageway was actually concealing a staircase which led to the sewers. Unsure of where to go next, your adrenaline high mind keeps you moving fast, taking random turns, having no understanding of where the tunnels lead to and where the safest exit may be. It wasn't until you rapidly took a corner and ran straight into an armoured chest plate that your mind stopped running wild.
A few second too late you realize it wasn’t the armour you would have hoped to see. The Mandalorians captor stands in front of you, with a package wrapped in her arms. Beside her is the Guild leader. You stand there dumbstruck and panting, unsure of what move to make.
The Guild leader approaches you, but you recoil, stepping back.
“What did you do to him?” is all you can think to growl at them.
“He’s just sleeping.” She attempts to assure you, “Wait how do you know the kid?” the woman asks, evidently confused by your accusation.
“What kid? No, the Mandalorian. You captured him. I saw you two walk in to town with him handcuffed”
“Young lady, I think you are confused. Please allow me to explain our situation.” the leader states, taking another step closer to you. This time you stand your ground, making clear you want answers.
He explains his name is Greef Karga, and the woman is Cara Dune, an ex-rebel shock trooper. And despite walking into town with Mando handcuffed by their sides, they were actually all in on the plan together. However, it seems that once they got inside things went south, a habit Mando seemed to be making for himself. It turns out that this elaborate scheme was set in place in an attempt to save a tiny green baby from the Empire, which now rests in the woman’s – Cara’s – arms.
You have no idea what to think. There's no way any of this can be true. Although, you then recall the conversation you overheard as they entered the town, and everything else seems to line up with your own experiences of the past hour.
You also realize that the Child must be the reason Mando went rogue in the first place. And after sneaking a peak at his resting wrinkly face, you completely understand why. After only one look, you’d probably jump in front of speeder for that little guy.
But before you can make up your mind on whether to believe Karga or not, Mando rounds the corner being supported by a very tall, very thin droid that you recognize to be an IG unit. As they approach, Cara hands off the baby to the droid and attempts to support Mando, and for some maker-forsaken reason you decide to help too. As you slide your arm under Mando’s shoulder and rest your hand on his back you feel him tense – you know you’ve made a mistake. But it’s too late to turn back now, so you carry some of his weight and continue on down the ominous path. The only way out, is through.
Your mind is running at 100 parsecs per hour. This is the closest, physically, you’ve been to anyone in years, and if that weren't enough you seem to be in the middle of both your wildest dream and worst nightmare. You can’t remember the last time you were tucked under someone's arm, and pressed up against them so tightly, if you ever were. And in your panicked state you start to realize you’ve basically been holding your breath this whole time, making your heart beat erratically and your head throb. But just as you think you might pass out from your stupidity, the Mandalorians voice shakes you back to reality.
“Stop.” His word sends you into a new panic. Were you thinking out loud? Could he read your heartbeat through his helmet? Did he know what a complete mess you were at his touch? “I can stand,” he says, finishing his thought.
Oh thank the gods.
He lets go of you and switches something in his helmet to look for tracks, and you allow yourself to finally take a deep breath.
“We’re close,” he states. After a moment of stabilizing your heartbeat and focussing on your breath900, you quicken your pace, subtly placing yourself just behind Mando’s left shoulder as he leads the group through the tunnel. You’re close enough to catch when he mumbles, “I know you.”
“And I know you,” you respond playfully, disregarding the severity of the situation you’ve found yourself in. You’re not quite sure how Mando’s mere presence can affect you so brutally, to the point of forgetting how to act like a normal human being.
“From the market.” He doesn’t ask.
“That’s me, good to see you in one piece. I was worried when I heard about the stunt you pulled. Crossing the guild...not sure I've ever heard of anyone getting away with that.” Oh man why are you talking so much. You just need to shut up now. Literally no one wants to hear-
“Worried?” a hint of genuine curiosity hidden in his question. Well of course he found the one word in your entire sentence that incriminates you. There’s no way he doesn’t know about your crush now.
“Umm well of course, I think everyone was. It’s all anyone could talk about for weeks. Nothing that exciting has happened around here in a while,” you quickly blurt out. He turns his head for a moment and examines you.
He is silent, evidently noticing the way you awkwardly avoided his question. You stare at him trying with every muscle in your face to remain composed. You know he sees right through you – must be that bullshit reader – but you think if you maintain eye contact long enough, he’ll just move on from your stupidity. And he does.
“How did you get here?” He returns to his task of following footprints. The question and abrupt change in topic jars you, although if you had to guess, you think he must have picked up on your complete awkwardness, possibly confusing it for suspicious behaviour. You hope he doesn’t think you untrustworthy because if it.
“There were explosions, and I tried to help everyone out, but the path became blocked and the only way out was some curtain hiding a staircase.” Your explanation, you realize, now sounds completely ridiculous, especially in the flustered manner you are depicting it in. Even so, you continue, “I went to hide but it turns out it led straight down here. So, I tried to find an exit, but I bumped into them instead,” you finish, glancing behind you towards Cara and Karga.
“If you came in from the market you should have passed the covert,” Mando stated almost accusingly, increasing your worry over whether he thought trusted your story.
“I’m not sure I didn’t really see any-” but his question is immediately answered by the pile of discarded Mandalorian armour in front of you.
The Mandalorian stops, and you can see just how suddenly his body language changed. Even injured, he looked deadly as he led you through the tunnels, but at the sight of the remnants of his clan, he is weak. You can feel the sadness, remorse, and pain emanating from him all at once. And as you stand beside him you barely realize you’ve gently reached for his hand, gripping it tight and squeezing it to convey your condolence for his immense loss.
But after a moment, he moved forward and away from your grasp to kneel at the sight of his fallen brethren. Cara suggests the group leave, but he won’t. He will not leave the armour in its discarded state.
Suddenly, the mood shifts, and you see the Mandalorian transform before your eyes. He storms towards Karga, accusing that he and the Guild members must be responsible. Karga denies, but you think Mando might be on the verge of strangling him when suddenly another modulated voice fills the tunnel.
A golden warrior stands before you. Her presence shocks you. It reveals some element rooted deep, a feeling you can only describe as warm… or familiar? She explains, as she gathers the scattered armour, how revealing the covert brought the presence of Imperials. When Mando offers her to join him, she rejects, maintaining that her place is to gather the remains of her people.
You all follow her into a small room with a forge in the centre of it. “Show me the one who’s safety deemed such destruction,” she demands.
“This is the one,” Mando responds. Gesturing to the baby that was wrapped tight to the IG unit’s chest.
“This is the one that you hunted, then saved?” she asks.
“Yes. The one that saved me as well.” And with that statement you find both an answer, and more questions. That baby saved him? How the-
“From the mudhorn?” she asks.
“Yes.” he responds, making you even more confused than ever. The baby saved him from a mudhorn?
“It looks helpless” she states.
“It’s injured, but it is not helpless. Its species can move objects with its mind.” As if this conversation could get any weirder. Move objects...with its MIND.
The Armourer begins to detail battles between Mandalore the Great and some species of wizards; the species this child belongs to. She also tells Mando that he is now responsible for the baby – his foundling. And finally, she tasks him with finding these sorcerers and returning the baby to them. When Mando questions the outrageous turn of events the woman has only four words in response:
“This is the Way.” Suddenly that warm comfort you felt before resurges, but only for a moment, as Cara reminds the group of the urgency of their situation. You need to find a way out before Imperials catch your tracks. The Armourer then suggests the group find a river of lava that will lead all of you out of the tunnels. Right…
River of lava, or Imperial Troopers. What the heck did you get yourself into? Either way it seems you don’t have much of a choice. After receiving a mudhorn signet on his pauldron, the Armourer pronounces that he and the child are bound as father and son; a clan of two. Cute little family they’ll make. When the droid gets ready to defend the group from incoming Imps, it hands Cara the child who looks very uncomfortable with it, so she passes him to you.
Stunned and confused you look to the Mandalorian who shows no sign of discomfort with you holding his now adopted son, not that you’d probably be able to tell. Either way, it seems you’ve acquired a new responsibility.
Blaster fire rings just outside the room as the woman hands Mando some flying contraption, and your group decides you might need to get a move on.
You approach the lava river, only to notice the boat has melted to the docking point. Karga and Mando struggle to free it, but Cara just gives you a smug look. “You boys mind getting out of the way?” she warns only to blast the points where the boat was attached, successfully freeing it from its molten chains.
The boat quickly begins to drift from the dock, but just as you start to lift your foot over the edge to make your way inside, you feel a strong hand against your lower back, guiding you the rest of the way. Once you steady yourself on the boat you glance up at the visor which is pinned straight ahead, unwavering and unwilling to meet your gaze. His seemingly disinterested reaction makes you anxious to know the true intention of his touch. He must just realize your safety is attached to the bundle you are currently cradling against your chest. Obviously, he is only looking out for the child, you just happen to be the person responsible for his transportation. If Cara were the one holding his son, he’d probably be helping her instead. Right? Simple as that.
Even so, you can't help but notice the way his hand flexes after it returns to his side.
For just a moment your mind slips, and you let yourself think that there might be something there. That the short conversations and fleeting looks shared all those weeks ago might have held more weight than you believed. That when you were admiring his head-to-toe armor upgrade, he may have been examining you back. That he might have actually liked the fact that you worried about him in his absence. You allow yourself to think that underneath that metal, stands a man who might be gentle, and kind. A man who helps you into a boat when he himself is injured. One who is willing to leave behind everything he knows in order to ensure the security of a child.
You snap back to reality, however, when Karga notices the light at the end of the tunnel. But just when you think that your journey is almost over, Mando informs you otherwise. A battalion of stormtroopers line the edges of your only exit route. No one in your group can come up with any satisfactory solution, until the IG unit comes forward.
“They will not be satisfied with anything less than the child. This is unacceptable. I will eliminate them, and you will escape.”
Mando is quick to point out that the droid would never make it past the troopers, but the droid insists. Apparently, his manufacturer's protocol dictates that he cannot be captured and must self-destruct. He asks that Mando look over the Child once he is gone, and you swear you can hear a hint of sadness through his filtered voice. Your hypothesis is confirmed by the IG unit, and your heart warms slightly for the metal man. The droid reaches over to say goodbye to the child for the last time, patting him gently on the head, then steps into the lava river and heads down towards the mouth of the cave. You all stare silently as you watch him approach the troopers when suddenly-
Fire consumes your vision, and it overwhelms your senses. Not having actually seen an explosion in your life you seem to be the only one on the boat who is at all fazed by the sudden wall of heat and deafening boom created by IG-11’s sacrifice. In the process you cover the child with your body and wince back into the hard wall behind you. Cradling the child and shielding yourself, you almost don’t notice when the wall grabs your hip and steadies you in front of it.
Suddenly, you’re flushed with embarrassment, realizing all at once the wall was the Mandalorian and both of his hands were still gripped onto you, holding you tight against his chest plate.
But your shock only lasts a moment before the unsettling screech of a Tie Fighter pierced your ears for the second time that day. And before you could process, the Mandalorian was using his body as a shield, protecting you and the child from the blasts, and simultaneously shooting at the new threat barreling towards your group.
Will this day ever end, is the only thought in your head before Mando is flying through the air using the jetpack given to him by the Armourer only minutes ago. However, you distinctly remember her saying he would need time to get used to it before it would ‘listen to his commands’. Nevertheless, he jerks through the sky in a desperate attempt to bring the Tie down.
You watch as one of the wings are ripped off by an explosion and the tie crashes to the ground. The Mandalorian lets go just in time and falls quickly towards the ground, igniting his jetpack at the last second to make a rough landing right in front of you.
The child squirms in your arms at the first sign of peace so you set him down gently. He awkwardly runs over to Mando and hugs his leg, creating possibly the cutest sight you had ever seen. Again, your heart can’t help but melt for the new little family, and you wonder how these two are going to get by. A child with magical powers, and a father who’s built to kill. Not a pairing you would bet on.
Cara and Karga then try to convince Mando to stay on Nevarro and help the both of them sort out the aftermath of today's events. But the Mandalorian insists on sticking to his mission. The child is now his first priority and finding a group of near-extinct ancient sorcerers does not sound like easy work.
“We have a long road ahead of us, but the journey is necessary. I must return him to his kind, no matter how long it takes.” You hear him reason with the pair, refusing their kind offers to remain on the planet with them.
If you know one thing about the Mandalorian it's that everything he does is completely intentional. No one could force Mando into something he doesn’t want to do. If he is sure of this path, he will follow it through till the end.
And from your short interactions, you know he spends time forming his thoughts in order to get his point across. Each sentence is carefully crafted so that they are clear and concise. You know he means every word.
Maybe that's why the next words out of his mouth come as a complete shock to you.
“Would you like to join us?” he asks directly to you.
What the kriffing heck did he just say? You're so taken aback that you embarrassingly bark out your response, your brain evidently getting no time to process the question, so instead if vomits out the first word it can think of: “No”.
You follow it with polite ‘thank you’s’, hoping to erase the awkward tension in the air, and the Mandalorian jetpacks off with the child leaving you to dwell on your utter stupidity.

Chapter 2
Notes: Honestly, I hate this chapter too wow. I really spent so long trying to edit this into something I could bare to publish, but I still really hate it. I did not want to write a chapter like this, but I also needed a way to put the reader into the story and the only way I could think to do that was by using an existing episode. So here we are. But I SWEAR, after this it gets good. Like not only does the story get good, but so does my own writing (relatively) so if you just bare through this, I think you’ll enjoy the rest.

"Are you sure you want to come to the Station with me tonight?" Chris asked, poking his head into the bathroom as he and Nika got ready to go.
"For the last time, Evans, I'm going. I'm not sitting around here waiting for shift to be over," Nika said, applying a small amount of antibiotic burn cream over her skin.
He put his hands up in surrender, leaning against the doorframe. He wouldn't offer to help her unless she indicated that she needed him to. "Alright, alright. I'll quit asking. I just want to make sure you're as ready to see everyone as they are to see you."
"Chris," she paused, looking over her shoulder, "I'll be fine, I promise. I'll take it easy and I'll let you or Lizzie or Scar know if I need to come home. Now, can you help me with my shoulder?"
Chris nodded and accepted the tube. He took his place behind her and moved her hair to the side revealing the wound on her shoulder to him. He gingerly rubbed a thin film of cream over the healing blisters. "It's looking better already."
Nika scoffed. She'd never really taken the time to look at herself in the mirror before, never really felt the need to. Since the fire, all she did was stare at her reflection.
"Hey," Chris said softly, "you're still just as beautiful now as you were before."
"Are you flirting with me, Evans?"
"Depends, is it working?"
"Maybe."
The two continued to stare at each other in the mirror; Chris's fingers idly glided over the rough skin of Nika's scar tissue. She watched intrigued as he leaned into his own touch of her skin instead of pulling away repulsed by the feeling as she would have been. Chris was good to her, too good, in ways Nika felt she hadn't earned.
As if he'd read her mind, he turned her around to face him, lifting her chin to look into her eyes. The pad of his thumb gently brushed over her cheek. Stop that. You don't need to earn my attention or my affection or my care.
Why are you so good to me? How can you just give me that much of your time so easily? Nika questioned, her hands moved furiously to highlight her frustration. Try as she might, she couldn't understand what he saw in her — more so now, thanks to the scarring left behind by the fire.
Chris understood that Nika's confidence had been shaken, he understood that she didn't see herself as she once had. It's simple, Nik. You're my best friend, it's yours if you want it.
Tumblr media
The drive to the firehouse was quiet. Nika left her hearing aids at home, not wanting to burden herself with attempting to follow so many conversations. Chris was there to interpret for anyone who didn't sign, giving her a much needed break.
Chris pulled up outside of the station and looked over at Nika. He waited patiently for her to make a move or a sound or any indication that she was ready to go in. She sat still as a stone, amber eyes fixed on the brick and mortar building in front of them. Chris softly tapped her left knee with his right hand, grabbing her attention. You ok? Nervous?
Nika shook her head. No, not nervous. Indifferent.
We don't have to go in. We can go home. Whatever you want to do.
I want to go.
Then we go. Chris reached across the seat and grabbed Nika's hand. He slid his fingers through the spaces between hers, giving her palm a gentle squeeze. The soft look in his eyes was warm and calming, exactly as it had been in the mirror. He slowly brought their hands up to his mouth, softly brushed his lips over their tangled fingers, skimming her knuckles. Ready?
Nika answered with a small nod of her head, her eyes still trained on the spot where Chris's lips had touched her skin. His affection wasn't new to her, except the way in which it was being delivered. She communicated with her hands, and to have him now showing deeper levels of care to her with his own… Chris's touch was everything.
The passenger door opened to reveal Chris standing at her side, waiting to escort her into the station. His bright blue eyes found her smooth honey gaze, and a sense of ease washed over them both.
She took his hand when offered, smiling as she hopped out of the truck. Who is here tonight?
That you know? Scarlett, Lizzie, Scott, and myself.
Do they know about the fire?
Scott knows, he was with me when Seb called. Everyone else will know only if you want them to. Chris smiled reassuringly. He knew seeing everyone under the current circumstances would be a lot for her, but he hoped having at least him and his brother there would take some of the pressure off. The Evans brothers were good for interpreting, Elizabeth and Scarlett knew enough conversational signs, and Nika could get by fairly well on her own otherwise.
The warmth of the summer evening relaxed both Chris and Nika's nerves. He hummed softly as she leaned into the protective barrier his body offered, shielding her right side from further damage. He hadn't been there to protect her from the fire that had caused the initial injury, but he'd make sure no more harm came to her during her stay in Boston.
She tugged on his arm as they approached the firehouse and nodded toward the opened shutter doors of the apparatus bay where Scott was waiting for them.
Hey, Scotty. Long time, no see. Nika greeted the younger Evans brother, stepping away from Chris's side and giving Scott a hug.
Hey, Trouble. Glad to see you're up and moving. How's the arm?
Can't wait to get this cast off. I'm already tired of it and it's only been a week.
Scott chuckled, greeted his brother with a nod and quick hug of his own. "Chris, you two doing alright? Need anything?"
"No, Scott. We're good. Thanks," the older Evans answered. He adjusted Nika's backpack over his shoulder and watched her slip into a comfortable conversation with Scott. The brothers had been friends with Sebastian and Nika since the four of them were in grade school; when the Evans' family moved back to Boston when the boys were in middle school, every so often Chris and Scott or Nika and Sebastian would spend a weekend with their respective second family. Nothing could tear the bond they had apart.
As they got older, Chris grew closer with both of the Stan siblings while Scott branched out and made friends of his own. He still kept in touch, not as closely as his big brother had but enough to keep the bond with them alive.
Chris's brief trip down memory lane ended abruptly, when a surprised yet happy squeal from Nika met his ears. He turned to find her sprinting through the apparatus bay toward the back of the rigs, Elizabeth's brunette hair fanning out behind her as the two spun around in a reunited embrace. He caught up to them in time to see the sling slip from Nika's arm in all of the excitement.
He tapped her left shoulder and gestured to her right arm. Hey, careful! You're not 100% yet, Nik.
Whoops. Nice catch. Thanks, Cap. she blushed, biting at her lower lip as Chris helped her slip the sling back into place. She did her best to ignore the heat rising in her cheeks at the soft kiss he pressed into the side of her hair.
How long are you here? Elizabeth asked, drawing Nika's attention away from the Squad Captain.
Off duty until my wrist and burns heal, so I guess we'll see. Definitely long enough for girls night!
That's what I like to hear!
The girls erupted into a fit of giggles. Nika hadn't been back in Boston since her breakup three years prior; a nasty one that only Chris and Elizabeth knew the explicit details of. Girls nights had been out in hold in favor of the time and space she needed to work through what happened.
Chris carefully guided a happy and preoccupied Nika to the locker room, followed by Elizabeth, as the two desperately made plans for a much needed wine and gossip night. He knew better than to interrupt.
After depositing his and Nika's things into his locker, Chris finally decided he'd take a chance pulling her away from the party planning for a bit. He found the two friends huddled in a corner of the common area, chatting animatedly over two mugs of fresh coffee. Elizabeth alerted Nika to Chris approaching her from behind and she turned around with a warm smile.
Hey, what's up?
Not much. How's your arm?
Ok, a little sore. Lizzie and I are planning Girls Night.
Chris chuckled. He loved the way Nika's eyes lit up whenever she mentioned plans with their other friends, especially Elizabeth. The two of them were almost as inseparable as Chris and Elizabeth were, and he knew that whenever he couldn't be around for her, Elizabeth would be. He nodded at the brunette and gestured toward the offices.
Mind if I borrow Nik for a moment? There's someone I want you to meet.
Not at all, I need to find Scarlett anyway. I'll see you later. Elizabeth waved them off and went in search of the other paramedic.
So, who am I meeting? Nika asked, following Chris to his office. It'd been three years since she'd stepped foot in that small room, three years since she's been in Boston at all but it still looked exactly as she remembered.
Latest Squad transfer. I think you'll like her, he answered simply. He set her purse on his desk and led her back out to the apparatus bay.
As they rounded the corner, Nika noticed the woman across the bay next to the Squad rig who hadn't been there when they'd arrived. She had wavy chestnut brown hair about as long as Nika's and stood a couple inches shorter than Sebastian. From the back, she could be his twin—a thought that thoroughly disturbed the younger Stan sibling. As the woman turned, Nika noticed the glint of the lights off of something in her hair and squinted, trying to make out what it was.
What was that flash of light in her hair? she asked, pulling Chris to a stop before they approached.
Just go meet her. Please? For me? he said. He reached forward and gently touched her left shoulder, rubbing it reassuringly and tugging her forward with him. "Hey, Daniels. You got a moment?"
The woman paused her inspection of the Squad apparatus, and turned in the direction of Chris's voice. The light caught the strange piece in her hair and now that they'd moved closer, Nika recognized it as a cochlear implant.
"What can I do for you, Captain?" The woman's eyes shifted from her superior over to the younger woman standing next to him. She gave her a polite smile, but kept her professional composer as best she could in the presence of company.
Chris easily slipped back into ASL now that he had her attention, not wanting to leave Nika out of the conversation. He quickly made the proper introductions. Nik, this is Arden Daniels, the new transfer I was telling you about. Arden, this is my best friend in the entire universe and the most badass firefighter I have ever seen, Nika Stan. She's staying with me for a few days during recovery.
Nice to meet you. I've heard a lot about you. Arden relaxed, shook Nika's hand, and offered the man a small chuckle of her own. So, this is the girl you learned to sign for?
Nika didn't miss the way Chris's cheeks grew a light shade of pink at Arden's accusation, though all she could do herself was stare at her best friend and wait for his answer. She'd always wondered why he'd learned ASL but never thought to ask, assuming that like everyone else, that's just how things went.
I didn't learn for her. He shook his head with a soft smile. He glanced over at Nika whose warm amber eyes were trained on his face, and he couldn't look away. I learned because of her.
Isn't that the same thing? Arden continued once she'd had Chris's attention again.
No.
Arden, now interested in what Chris had to say, sat down on the bumper of the truck behind her. It'd become increasingly clear to Nika throughout this small interaction, that like herself, Arden's experience with hearing people wasn't always positive. Truth be told, she'd never really thought of Chris as "just another hearing person" because he'd never treated her as "just another hearing impaired" girl. But then again, their relationship was different entirely.
How is that not the same thing?
Because I could always learn to sign, but Nik could never learn to hear again. I learned ASL so that I could talk to my favorite person in the world without barriers.
He'd never admitted it before, at least not out loud. No one had ever asked except Sebastian once, and when Chris didn't immediately offer an answer, he didn't press the issue. After that, he never really thought about it. For Chris, it was self-explanatory. Why would you ask a Deaf person to accommodate you in a world that's made for you?
Well, now that that particular cat was out of the bag, Chris wondered how long it would be until Nika knew the truth of how he felt about her. He'd move heaven and hell to see her smile again, but he knew it wouldn't return until she was healed up and back on the job. He couldn't just let her go home after this, not when things were finally taking a step in the right direction.
The world needs more people like you, Captain. Hearing people who don't see us Deaf as something broken to be fixed. Arden said, grabbing Chris's attention once more.
If you think I'm great, you should meet Nik's brother. He taught me everything I know about being a good advocate for the Deaf Community.
Nika rolled her eyes at the mention of Sebastian. She loved her brother, but she was loving her time away from his overprotectiveness even more. Who do you think taught him what he knows? she joked, giving Chris a playful shove.
Arden couldn't help the smile tugging at the corner of her mouth as she watched the two of them interact. Chris was a goner...it showed in the brightness of his smile and the melody of his laughter.
I'm going to get back to it. But Nika it was nice meeting you. And if you're still around after shift, I'd love to get your number before you go.
It was nice meeting you too. I'm sure I'll see you again before the night's over. Don't let Evans run you into the ground.
Chris put his hand to his chest in mock offense. Hey! I resent that. I am a fantastic Squad Captain.
Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night, C.
The air between Chris and Nika was playful and electric. He led her back to his office in a comfortable silence, her left hand securely tucked into his right one. Both of them were coming down off of the excitement they shared with Arden, and the weight of his near-confession still hung just out of reach.
He shut the door behind her to give them some privacy.
So, what'd you think of Daniels?
Nika shook her head with a chuckle. Female Seb, but Deaf. It's weird.
I thought the same thing when I first met her. She's good at her job. he offered.
Hey, Chris?
Yeah, Nik? What's up?
Chris stopped in front of where Nika leaned carefully against his desk. She was staring down at her shoes, lost in thoughts she hadn't yet shared with him. He tucked his finger under her chin, lifting her head to meet his gaze. What's wrong?
I was just wondering… what are you doing with your time? Her soft honey eyes found his mesmerizing blue ones.
There in the quiet of his office, Chris did the one thing he'd been waiting to do for seven years—before he could talk himself out of it, he leaned down and softly kissed Nika's lips.
It's yours if you want it.

I still have all our convos thru text & messanger, i didnt even realize til now or even existence of the still there photo we took together on our 1st date lookin like 2 hot messes lol. Ive done the math correctly this time lol & actually looking at the calendar its another stab to the chest...3 and a half months under the same roof, but almost 6 months together in full...im telling u, it wasn't enough time 😔😭 makes me wanna slit my own throat.😫What the actual fuck!!!🤢🤮
he said this to me earlier this yr 20 days after I moved in.
"To answer your post on Facebook Some change is not bad leaving your comfort zone to better your self is not change it's the right thing to do for your body your mind controls. I've left my comfort zone behind and making changes that impact all around me if you can't see the work I'm putting to make you a better person that your missing the point why we are together to better each other I won't stop trying to make you a better person because I feel some type of way I don't feel about anyone else"
Isn't that what we do everyday, to be better versions of ourselves. We most definitely have changed for the better over time this yr, small amounts at a time...u cannot rush these things or force change onto another.. Though it starts with you for your own betterment, You can't make someone else change or be better if they're a bit stubborn to change little things that may be upsetting, but you can surely help them through it. One has to step into the shoes of the other & realize something isn't right...but how do u help or approach someone struggling with a problem..& bring them out of the darkness, being there for them, a simple hug or cuddle, compromises, a safe space to talk things out...taking action to help them heal is all thats needed. As I reflect on everything we've said to eachother.. I know he cares about me or loves me too at the very least..even if he can't bring himself to ever admit, I know its within and has been apparent many times. He may think he's not good enough for me, or I for him due to my own issues...but everyone has them, it doesn't mean your weak. If one is in a state of weakness the other is there to help them up & assure them that their stronger than they give themselves credit for. And the purpose of going through things good or bad together, learning what to do & what not to do..its all a normal part of the experience..it brings you personal growth & even bring u closer as you go, work out your issuse & become stronger together. When u love someone, u love them with all their scars & wounds, broken or damaged..& would do anything to bring them comfort & pick them up when they're down. This is how I feel toward him. Though I wasnt given alot of support myself, being next to him & holding his hand was all the support I needed most the time, he was my rock as much as I was for him. I was too wrapped up in my own problems to notice he had any of his own..though he hid them well so I had no clue. If u want to be better do it for yourself & it would reflect on those around you. And when you're with someone, you do it together with strength & determination to see it though til u make it through. Im strong without him but still so weak without my rock to guide me. With him I was free but still stuck in my own poisonous prison, it wasn't meant to be his burden too, & his onto mine respectfully. He was stuck within his own walls just as much. We both didn't know how to come out of our individual depressed stinks, incapable of giving we needed, we weren't equipped with the right tools necessary to lift eachother & lost sight of what was important..we quit bettering ourselves & got worse..stuck under 1 roof without much to do..our own personal cell....and not doing anything to help the other, we didn't know how. If I knew then what I know now, it wouldn't have been that way 100%. After a few months there was less trust & eventually we both got scared of what we thought of the other til it got under our skin & I could sense him pulling away. All we needed was to be heard, cared for...and genuinely loved. We were the best of friends the whole way through nevertheless, but we lost eachother in the end, heartbreak hotel ever since. My heart has been putting back the pieces but still burns for his 2,000 miles away. I feel we didn't experience a whole lot..& the story was & still is far from over. I cant help but feel this way, I just can't stop it...its not easy at all to let go of him when he's the missing piece. Its so fucking hard when ur heart is tethered to someone elses. And it hurts so much that I wanna die. But I cant give up, cause if I did he may too. Im lost without him. But even if he's not here beside me, even if I need his warm embrace to tell me im safe from the storm, ill continue to better myself..for my own growth, & for him. I promise this
We lost the battle, but we didn't lose the war. Keep fighting my King of darkness with all your heart & your Queen of light will do the same. I hope to God one day we find eachother on the front lines when the dust settles

Heartbreak
Tumblr media
Pairing: Changkyun x reader, Wonho x reader
Warning: Cheating, Smut
Authors Note: This was a suggested One Shot, I hope you guys like it. Please let me know. I love feedback!
Ps: I changed the ending because the previous one was done in the middle of the night half asleep and made no fucking sense lmfao
●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
You and Changkyun had been together for 3 years now. You had been with him through everything. Every win, every loss, all the ups and downs with the rest of his members. You were there. You never complained when you didn't see him for months on end. You sent him encouraging texts when he felt like he wanted to give up. You brought dinners to the studio or dance room when he was working late. You didn't complain about missed date nights, forgotten birthdays and anniversaries. You fought through all the jealousy of seeing him flirt with other girls. You did everything for him.
So you really had a hard time wrapping you head around the text messages you saw on his phone, when he asked you to double check what Wonho had said. He obviously thought he had deleted the messages from Wonho 2 , as if that wasn't fucking obvious. You can't have Wonho and Wonho 2 and not have it look suspicious as fuck. But sure enough, when you clicked on Wonho 2 you saw what you were dreading.
You hadn't really had an suspicions he was cheating, until you saw that contact. When you saw it, your stomach dropped. When you saw the messages, your heart shattered.
Tumblr media
That wasn't you. It sure as hell wasn't Wonho either. Although heartbroken, you were pissed the fuck off.
Normally you were a nice girl, polite, funny, caring, dirty when needed. But when someone crossed you, you became petty as fuck. You're not one to fuck with and you thought that Changkyun was aware of that but you guess not.
Setting his phone down, you leave his bedroom and make your way to the dorms kitchen where Hyungwon was setting up all the booze for the night. It was one of the rare nights they didn't have anything going on, and a free day the next day. So you all were going to drink at the dorms and just have a good time. Kihyun and Minhyuk and Hyungwon were bringing their girlfriends over, so you weren't the only girl.
"You okay y/n?" Hyungwon asks you, slightly concerned.
You nod and make a "mhm" sound, as you pour yourself a shot of tequila. And another. And another.
"What's going on in here?" Shownu laughs, watching you take another shot.
"Y/n is getting a head start on everyone." Hyungwon laughs. "Hey Changkyun, your girlfriend is going to get plastered before we even play any games" he yells to your boyfriend.
"Y/n" Changkyun laughs, walking into the room. "Come baby, lets go sit." He tells you, grabbing your hand to take you to the couch.
You can already feel the 4 shots settling in, and truthfully you're getting more pissed off thinking about what he did.
How long has it gone on for? Who was she? Did he love her?
Finally the girls arrived at the dorm and everyone was in the living room drinking and laughing. You were trying to force yourself to engage and laugh. You had to plan your moment perfectly. So when someone suggested you all play truth or dare, you immediately agreed and practically forced everyone else to agree.
When your turn arrived, you still hadn't decided between truth or dare but either one you hoped it set you up for an amazing opportunity.
"Y/n, truth or dare?" Kihyun asked you.
"I pick both. Ask me a truth I'll answer, tell me a dare I'll do it" you answered. Everyone seemed to like that.
"Okay, who out of all the members would you sleep with if you had the chance? Excluding Changkyun" he asks you.
"Wonho" you say without hesitation, sending Wonho a little wink.
He choked on his drink a little.
"Ha wow, okay" Kihyun clears his throat. Changkyun's grip on your knee tightened. He didn't like that you answered so quickly. "I dare you to give Wonho a little kiss" he says, laughter erupting from his mouth.
With a smile on your face, you got up, ignoring Changkyun trying to get your attention. You walked straight over to Wonho, sat on his lap and kissed him passionately.
"Woah woah woah. What the fuck" Changkyun yells as he pulls you off of Wonho, who still looks shocked yet pleased. "What the fuck was that!?" He yells.
"What was that? That was me not giving a fuck about this "relationship" anymore, like you don't give a fuck" you yell, or slur back.
"What do you mean I dont give a fuck?" He asks you, looking hurt. "How could you say that?" He whispers.
"Last night was amazing."
"I miss you already."
"I know baby." You quote.
"W-what?" Changkyun stutters.
"That's right. I know. I don't know many details, so why not just share with all your closest friends. Tell them all how you've been fucking cheating on me." You spit.
Looking around at all the shocked faces of his members and a few of their girlfriends. "How long?" You ask. "How long have you been fucking someone else?" You demand.
"I-I don't know how it happened. It was on tour and then it just continued and I didn't mean for it to happen or continue" he cries.
"O-on tour?" You ask. "Your last tour was almost a year ago" you cry. "You've been fucking her for almost a year." You scoff. You couldn't believe it.
"Dude what the fuck is wrong with you?" Wonho yells, walking towards Changkyun. "How could you do this to her? After everything she's done for you. She stuck by your side through literally everything and this is how you repay her?" He finishes yelling, giving Changkyun a push.
"I-I know, I'm so sorry. I was going to end it, I was but I.." he says before you cut him off.
"Save it. I don't care what you have to say. And now, I'm going to go fuck Wonho and I won't feel bad. Because fuck your relationship right" you spit at him. Changkyun looks devastated but you don't care. If he could do this to you after 3 years, then why couldn't you?
Grabbing Wonho by the collar of his shirt, you drag him into his room. As much as you wanted too you're not that shitty as to fuck his friend on your ex boyfriends bed.
"A-are we really doing this?" Wonho asks you, hesitant.
"Do you want to do this?" You ask.
He nods his head.
You lift your shirt over your head and throw it, somewhere. Wonho takes a sharp inhale of breath at the site of your lacy bra. Next you slip off your jeans, to expose your matching thong.
Another deep breath.
You undo your bra and let it slide down your arms.
Cocking your head to the side you look at Wonho who is just staring and appreciating your body.
"Are you just going to stare and lick your lips or are you going to fuck me?" You ask him.
"Definitely fuck you" he says walking towards you while discarding his own shirt, exposing his very very toned and muscular upper body.
"Fuck" you whisper. Once he reaches you, Wonho grabs your waist and picks you up, you wrap your legs around his waist as he backs the both of you to the wall.
Leaning in, he kisses you. It's needy and sloppy but you like it. Moving your hips, you grind yourself on him. Already you can feel his cock slightly poking you from inside his jeans.
Pulling away from the kiss, you signal for him to put your down. When you're on the floor, you quickly fumble undoing Wonho's jeans. Pulling them down, boxers included, you watch his cock spring free and hit his stomach.
Your mouth is watering.
Taking him in your hand, you begin pumping him a few times before licking his head. Wonho throws his head back and let's out a small moan/groan in appreciation and frustration.
Deciding you had enough fun teasing him, you take as much of him in your mouth as you can, hollowing out your cheeks, you allow him to thrust himself into your mouth.
"Shit baby, you look so good with your lips wrapped around my cock" he moans, thrusting a few more times before pulling out. Lifting you off the ground, he swiftly throws you onto his bed.
Laying on his stomach, he forces your knees open, and leans down licking a strip up your soaked pussy.
"Ohh fuck" you yell. Wonho starts harshly sucking on your clit, then adds two fingers and starts pumping in and out of you. It's almost too much you handle. You're wiggling around the bed. Wonho has forced your hips down so you can't grind on his face. It was almost unbearable.
"Fuck" you moan. "I'm going to cum" you yell, and he halts all movements. Licking his lips, he removes his fingers from inside you causing you to cry out.
"Mhm. You look so sexy when you're about to cum" he growls.
"I look even better when you actually let me cum, what the fuck" you cry.
"I want you to cum on my cock" he tells you with a head tilt and a smirk.
"Fine then fuck me" you pant.
"Gladly" he tells you, crawling up the bed, laying down. "Ride me" he demands.
Swinging your leg over him, you hover above his cock, slowly sinking down. Wonho had other ideas and he thrust harshly into you.
Leaning forward, you can't adjust to how fucking big he is and how he fills you up because he is just snapping his hips into you.
"Shit baby" he moans, tightly grabbing your waist, you're sure it'll leave bruises.
Moving your hips with the rhythm of his, it wasn't long before you felt your orgasm fast approaching. Wonho clearly wasn't far behind as his breathing started to become uneven.
"Fuck fuck fuck I'm gunna cum" you yell, Wonho lifts a hand off your waist and tightly wraps it around your throat right as your orgasm hits. It intensifies it by 100%. Your walls clench around Wonho and he continues to violently thrust into you, trying to chase his own high.
"Fucking clench your pussy around my cock again" he demands. You clench as tight as you can, making his thrusts more violent.
"Fuck I'm gunna cum" he yells as his seed coats your walls and you continue to grind on him, pumping out every ounce you can get.
Laying ontop of him, you're both panting, trying to catch your breath.
Getting up, you go to the bathroom and get yourself cleaned up and get dressed.
Both you and Wonho sneak out of his room to overhear the conversation happening in the living room.
"Dude what the fuck is going on seriously. You haven't said anything. How could you cheat?" Jooheon yells.
"How could you not say anything about her fucking Wonho? I'm so fucking lost on why you're just standing there" Shownu says in disbelief.
"I fucking deserve it. I fucked up" Changkyun says, head still hanging down.
Walking out with your head held high, you grab your purse, say bye to everyone, place a small kiss on Wonho's lips and make your way to the door.
"Y/n please wait" Changkyun cries.
Turning to look at him, you look him straight in the eyes.
"Go fuck yourself" you spit, with a single tear escaping your eyes. Walking out of the dorm, you felt your heart break all over again.
