Ok so I'm thinking about making a ship chart/diagram for the deltarune kids because im bored but before I do I wanna get some thoughts out about berdly and noelle because my brain won't shut the fuck up

I've seen some people in the fandom portray Berdly as having an (extremely one-sided) crush on Noelle but I don't think that was ever the case??? It might have been the case at one point when she first met him but Berdly's actual "crush" fizzled out extremely quickly. HOWEVER, he was under the impression that Noelle had a crush on him (which also wasn't true) so he kept up a ruse of sorts.

Berdly and Noelle are good friends who haven't had any sort of romantic feelings for each other and I love them :) They both have some shit they need to figure out getting into relationships I think.

The baby boy would be that kid that everyone likes and doesn’t fit in to one specific group. He would probably align more with the nerds because he loves science and math so much, but he could really fit in everywhere.

What song would they want played at their funeral?

'Feed the Birds (Tuppence a Bag)’ from Mary Poppins because its sad and sweet and it’s one of the last connections Ravi has of his birth family on Earth.

What did they want to grow up to be when they were a kid?

Ever since he can remember, Ravi’s wanted to be a doctor. As the ship’s chief healer, he still is working towards that goal.

Would they root for the prey or the predators in a nature documentary?

Nature documentaries are banned from the ship because Luna tried to watch Planet Earth with him and a deer got eaten by a wolf and Ravi cried for two hours.

Who is their hero? If they don’t have one, what kind of person would be their hero?

His ultimate hero is still his birth mom, Padma. He doesn’t remember much of her but knows that they loved each other. On the ship his heroes are of course his mom and dad, Ciri and Tam, and his big brother Castor.

What is/would be their weapon of choice in a fight?

He doesn’t like to fight if can help it, but he’s most adept with his hand crossbow. He’s been learning from Juni and Alma how to spar with a knife and he likes pretending he’s a pirate.

‘Can you be a good person if you killed someone’ He googled this after Adrian showed him B3rT13′s video on Dryas. He still doesn’t have an answer.

Who would they sell to Satan for a single corn chip?

Right now Ravi’s attitude towards Sasha is "Had it not been for the laws of this land, I would have slaughtered you”, but he doesn’t like fighting so it’s more of “Had it not been for the laws of this land, I would have cried for five hours while locking myself in a closet.” He is very confused why she is back when he thinks that he saw her die, but he knows that he does not want her around.

Are they a city or a country kind of person?

On Earth, he came from the slums part of New India which technically was in the city, and he never really knew anything outside of that. Despite his kidnapping, he actually loved the aesthetic of Dryas and although doesn’t want to go back anytime soon, wants to live someplace like that.

What’s their favorite mythical creature?

Pegasus. The prospect of a winged horse who just strives to be lovely and good is very exciting to him. He knows deep down that pegasi don’t exist, but he is still holding on that maybe Genesis has engineered a way for them to exist.

Who are they afraid of?

Sasha definitely, as well as the other people who were in the “home” where he lost his limbs. He’s also still terrified of Magdalena and still has nightmares about her sometimes.

Who would they take a bullet for?

Pretty much anyone he considers a friend. Ciri, Tam, Castor, Crumb, Psyche, Luna, Nivviah, Val, Allura, Kalliste, etc. Pretty much the only person he wouldn’t take a bullet for is Sasha.

If they had to dress totally different from their usual style, what would they wear?

His usual style is little overalls and sweatshirts, but he would absolutely rock a summer dress with flats. Ravi is out here defying gender norms at age 9. So iconic.

What makes/has made them cry harder than anything else?

I mean, if the answer isn’t “having my arms and legs forcibly removed from my body”, I don’t know what is.

Would they laugh at dick jokes?

Nope because he doesn’t not understand them whatsoever. Ciri would probably kill whoever made a dick joke in front of him. (It was 100% Val but on accident. She’s dealt with little siblings, she would not make a dirty joke on purpose in front of a child).

If they were a Pokemon trainer, what would be their favorite type?

He’d love all types but he has a particular fondness for water types, especially poliwags. They’re just so cute.

Would they go to a haunted house?

Nope, he already got that experience from seeing Sasha again. He is afraid of ghosts and zombies and would cry if he was pushed into a haunted house.

What’s the worst promise they’ve ever broken?

He promised both himself and his birth mom that he’d do his best to help people and would never hurt anyone, but then he learned he killed Manisha on Dryas and is thinking back to that promise. Granted he was like three when he made it, but he still wanted to keep his promise.

If they could go back in time and change one event from their life, what would it be?

There’s a lot of things Ravi wants to change, but he wishes that he could be with his mom the day that he was taken by the people who took his limbs. He thinks maybe if they were together, they wouldn’t have been separated when she died.

What was their favorite game to play as a kid?

Nerf guns. It’s part of his “training” by Luna since he wants to earn his place on the ship and Luna is just as nervous about giving a child a weapon as Ciri is. He likes playing Nerf Guns with his siblings.

What is/would be their favorite meme?

Here come dat boi! Oh shoot whattup! And yes, it is “shoot” because Ravi does not say shit.

How do they usually spend their rainy days?

Cuddled up with Ciri or Tam and reading with them in their pjs. He hasn’t seen rain in years, not since he left Earth, and longs to see it again since it can’t rain in space. Sometimes he’ll mess with the weather controls in the arboretum to make it rain just to feel the sensation again.

What’s the most romantic thing they would do for a significant other?

Ravi would pretty much do anything for someone he loves, romantic or platonic. But the biggest thing he can do to show his love is to learn what you love, so he can do it along with you. It’s the reason he wants to learn to work on robots like Ciri so he can bond with his mom. And is the underlying reason why he wants to learn how to use knives because he wants to bond with his big brother Castor.

How far are they willing to go to get what they want?

Ravi has a lot of dreams, but he also has a lot of morals. If he found out that he’d have to do something immoral to get what he wants, he would stop right there and be comfortable with what he had. He would never sacrifice his morals and the people he loves for his dreams.
