Plenty of people talk about PMD Heroes who can't use their powers, but what about those who can't STOP their powers?
Picture, a Riolu hero who can't control their aura sensing so they're just constantly bombarded by people's feelings, overwhelmed by all the auras. So, they become a hermit, avoiding crowds and living a peaceful life, and if they ever get really overstimulated Partner just knocks them out and drags them somewhere quiet (more than once, Partner has been stopped by the police for this suspicious behaviour)
Eventually, Riolu learns to shut-off their aura-reading, and refuses to use it again. It's too personal, and they're too scared about going back to being a walking receiver for people's emotions. Until, Partner helps them come to the warming realisation that this power is not a bad thing, it can be used to help so many people.

//forgotten kisses. oikawa tooru//
Request: Hey!hey!hey! Im not quite sure if you write scenarios but my blood boils everytime i know that oikawa ex gf dumped him because of passion, so i was wondering if u could write a scenario where the reader interrupts the moment where this girl who is breaking up with him and telling her that she was a fake girlfriend and it was his passion what made the reader fall in love with him, right in front of oikawa as well. I rlly wanna know his reaction to this. Ofc the reader having a long crush over him.
Warnings: self-doubt
Word Count: 1.9K
Notes: it is free coffee day at dunkin donuts and when i tell you that i’m h y p e d for this large iced vanilla coffee later
It hurt like hell to watch him go about his everyday life, her clung onto his arm, you walking just a few steps behind, Iwaizumi next to you, mournful eyes staring at you, the forgotten girl.  It had been a trio made in heaven, one that had never strayed too far apart since middle school.  There would be sleepovers and movie nights and volleyball games with you and your boys, your own personal protectors, your best friends.  You had grown up right alongside them, battling through your awkward young teenage years filled with acne and laughing at their cracking voices, but as the time passed feelings started to bubble up in the pit of your stomach and no amount of pushing them back down could hide them.
Oikawa Tooru was everything you could ever want in a boyfriend.  He was kind and doting, always the first person to ask you how your day was and the first person to offer you a shoulder and a pint of ice cream whenever you were upset.  His good morning and good night texts could have your heart fluttering with only a few words followed by a colon and a parenthesis.  He knew exactly how to make you laugh and there was no one who knew all of your ticklish spots quite like he did.  Your sides would be hurting as your voice strained with giggles and your lungs gasped for a desperate breath as you squirmed beneath him, his fingers wiggling over your sides in payback for making fun of him.
Iwaizumi had stood by the whole time, just rolling his eyes, but the soft smile on his face was hard to miss as he regarded a young love blossoming right before him.  The perfect middle man, Oikawa spilling all of his feelings out in long-winded paragraphs towards the ace, you carrying on during hour long phone calls, Iwaizumi had all of the information, feeding it to the other, trying his very best to make all of the dreams a reality.
It was because of him that a kiss had been stolen outside of the gymnasium after Tooru’s very first official match.  It had been short and awkward, faces both warm to the touch as the embarrassment creeped up your cheeks.  First kisses were shared and everything seemed so perfect.  Everything should’ve fallen into place and it should’ve been the start to something beautiful between you and the prince of Aoba Johsai.
But, constant volleyball practices and late teenage years had done wonders to your childhood friend.  He had lost the plumpness in his face and his physique had toned nicely.  He had always been popular with the girls but, this was a whole new level.  They were flocking him no matter where he went, leaving him love notes on his classroom desk, bringing his desserts and handmade bentos at lunch.  You were simply pushed to the back burner, forgotten to fade into the background while someone else caught his eye. And for the first time in your life, Iwaizumi Hajime was the first to offer you a shoulder to cry on and a pint of ice cream to soothe your sorrows.
It had been five months since Oikawa had fully forgotten everything that the two of you had shared.  Five months since he let her into your little inner circle.  But it had two months since you had seen him willing to light up a room with his charming smile that could get everyone around him smiling in a matter of seconds.  There was a tense strain between the young couple, one that was absent to most outside onlookers but to the people who knew the beloved Seijoh captain best, there was no mistaking that tired look in his eyes and the forced smile that came with every, “I promise.  I’m fine.”
Her lips were always pressed together in a tight line, loosening only enough to let all of those cursed sentiments flit off of her tongue.  “You don’t love me.  You only care about volleyball and that’s all you’ll ever care about.”
Sentiments that would be chased with pleading eyes and desperate words, asking for a second chance, a promise for change, affirmation of the impossible.  Everyone who really knew Oikawa Tooru knew that volleyball was his passion and everyone who really knew Oikawa Tooru accepted that as part of who he was.  He was encouraged and praised for overcoming strife on the court only to be torn down piece by bitter piece the minute he stepped away from his safe haven.  It was painful to watch as each passing day tore the Oikawa that you had watched grow slip further and further out of your grasp, and further away from the Oikawa that had smashed his lips against yours in a fit of passion outside of this very same gymnasium two years prior.
“Tooru, I can’t do this anymore.  I’m not going to be second to some stupid sport anymore!  I deserve better and I’m tired of you telling me that you’re going to change and yet, you never do.  You are so absorbed in volleyball that you can’t even see that our relationship is falling apart,” she spits, flailing her arms in frustration as the Seijoh setter stands shocked at the sudden outburst.
“You aren’t second and you never were.  I love you, but I don’t know what more you’re expecting me to do!  I could be something in the volleyball world, but not if y-”
“Be something?” She laughed, shaking her head in dismay.  “You are nothing but a high school third year who has slightly more talent than most.  You can’t even win this tournament and you really expect me to believe that you could go pro?  It’s time to grow up, Tooru.  Volleyball just isn’t the life that was meant for you and it’s time for you to see that.  So, you have a choice:  you can keep living out this fantasy and continue telling yourself that there’s hope and that you can play for the Japan team someday, or you can get your head out of the clouds and join me in the real world.  Those are your options.”
“What are you saying?” Oikawa’s usually strong voice falls into a shake, a quieter, meeker version of himself that you haven’t witnessed in many years.  It was as if he was sinking into himself, becoming a shell of the boy who had stolen your heart all those years ago.
“It’s me or volleyball.”
His mouth sputtered open, incapable of finding the right words to say, unsure if the right words even existed in this situation.  Keep this girl that he loved and cared for or pursue his one true passion?  In the moment, in his love-blind youth, there was no good outcome and the sad scoff that left the girl in front of him nearly had his heart shattering into a hundred thousand pieces right there in the middle of the sidewalk as people slowed their pace as they berthed around them, ears prying to pick up any of the drama.
“I get it.  Thanks for nothing, Oikawa.” She shakes her head, turning away from the captain who had already faced one great loss that day and now, he was left sorting through the aftermath of another.
His head sank down to stare steadily at the concrete and for the first time that day, he let the tears sting his eyes and flow freely down his cheeks, his heart aching at a failed high school romance and an unaccomplished goal.  And for the first time in a long time, he confided in your embrace when you approached him with arms wide open.  Your hand found his hair, lacing the chestnut strands through your fingers, a comforting feeling that he never even knew he missed until then.  His arms wrapped around your midsection, face buried into the crook of your neck as if you were the safest place in the world at that moment in time.  You could hear his sniffles as he tried his best to choke back the ugly sobs of heartache, the ones that he knew you would tease him about once you knew that he was okay.
Minutes passed before Oikawa finally pulled away from you, eyes and nose tinged red from his still very apparent sorrows.  Glistens of fresh tears still stained his cheeks and the brief hiccups of sobs would still have his voice and body quivering.  “She’s right.  I can’t even beat a stupid first year.  How the hell am I meant to play professionally if I can’t even win this bullshit high school tournament?”
Your hand rested gently against the side of his face, letting your thumb whisk a fresh tear away from his cheek.  “You don’t actually believe that, Tooru.  This is what you love and this is what you want to do for the rest of your life and she had no right to say those things to you.  I know that you can do it.  Tooru, I have been in your corner since the very first day I met you.  Even if no one else will, I’m going to support you, because I believe in you, okay?  You are so much more than some self-absorbed volleyball player.  You are Oikawa Tooru, Seijoh’s remarkable setter and captain, my best friend since junior high, my first kiss and the one that I told everything to for as long as I can remember, and more than anything you are Japan’s future professional setter.”  You take a shaky breath, every ounce of future regret coursing through your veins, but there was something almost magnetic pulling you towards him.  Maybe it was years of love that had been pushed away finally overflowing, desperate to be noticed or maybe it was just all of the heightened emotions of the day that had you gently easing his face down to yours.
It was in front of that very same gymnasium where you and Oikawa Tooru shared your second kiss.  This one is less awkward and less sloppy than the first.  The flutter of butterflies still danced in your stomachs and your ears still burned with the heat of embarrassment at such a public display, but for a brief moment, it was just you and him, locked within your own little world, sharing kisses that were long overdue for the forgotten girl and her prince of the school.

When an Angel gets her wings
Synopsis: Y/N is finally getting her wings so the angels take her out to celebrate but things go wrong after a spot of day drinking.
Pairing: Elements of Jane Kano x fem!reader. (might do a second part that delves a little deeper)
Words: 2.9k
A/N - Charlie’s Angels (2019) is a brilliant movie you guys are just mean. I love these characters and would die for each and every one of them. I didn’t know if anyone would actually be interested in this but I wanted to write about my favourite angels.
Tumblr media
Drifting giddily through the large double doors of the outpost in search of three in particular angels after some much-deserved appreciation. It had been months of hard work in the making. Day after day of training. From defusing bombs to jumping out of planes - which almost brought your lunch back up - you were officially done and ready to get your wings. You were dreading the needle to come but it'd all be worth it when you're out in the field as an agent. The outpost was pretty quiet but Sabina seemed to notice your arrival. Jumping over the arm of the sofa chair with surprising grace, she walked towards you.
"So?" You purse your lips, making her wait just for the drama of it all before breaking out into a cheesy grin.
"Guess whose getting her wings tomorrow?"
"Yesssss," The excitement clear on her face. Both hands in the air, she slapped them against yours in a high ten. "That's my girl. I'm taking you out to celebrate and I will not take no for an answer.
"But-"
"Ah ah ah," She shoved her finger against your lips bringing you to an abrupt stop. Brows knitted together in utter disgust. "Go collect Jane. I'll get Elena and we'll meet back here in five."
"But I haven't agreed yet." You counter but she just slips away in search of Elena. Slapping her hands over her ears and turning back to look at you. "Sorry what? I can't hear you."
"You're such a dick." With a playful roll of your eyes, you spin on your heel and wander off to find arguably your favorite angel. Becoming an angel had never been the plan then again you didn't exactly know about the organization. But being a spy definitely hadn't been what you told the career advisor back in the days of your youth. No, you hadn't a clue where you were heading or what you wanted. From eighteen you'd pretty much been on your own; social interaction was not your strong suit but then you found a sense of purpose at the agency. A will to live. You had been shy at first but after Elena took the first step in approaching you, you'd grown in confidence and joined the trio making it a quadruple. You had a soft spot for Jane though, you had since the day you first saw her decked out in her tactical gear. Tall, beautiful and deadly was such a glorious combination that described her perfectly. She could also be a little cold but that was easily overlooked when you got to see her dorky side. So who can blame you if you may or may not have developed a teeny little crush on her. You liked to think you were good at hiding it but who knows; she was a former MI6 spy so she's gotta be pretty good at reading people.
You find miss Kano, doing some target practice; throwing some very sharp blades at a black target ten feet away. Typical Jane using her free time to train. You waited until the last knife slipped from her grip, flying towards the middle of the three black circles. She had an impeccable aim. "Guess who finished their last day of training."
Jane turns spotting you overhead and giving you a smile. Heading down the stairs, you practically run into her congratulatory open arms. "I'm being dragged out to celebrate if you wanna come with? I think Sabina could do with adult supervision."
"First of all, she's older than me," You leaned back with a cheeky grin. "And that's what you're there for."
"We both know I need the supervision too. Sabina just has to look at me and I cave into her, she's very convincing." You insist. "Elena is probably the most sensible one and that's saying something."
"Yo," Sabina's voice interrupts the conversation. "How long are you two gonna gaze into each other's eyes? Let's go!"
Without so much as a glance in her direction, you stick up a middle finger.
"I'm gonna pass, sorry" Jane flashes you a sympathetic smile before turning to go collect her knives."Maybe next time."
"Is the kill joy coming?" Sabina shouted.
You take a deep breath, rolling your eyes at Sabina but keeping your attention on Jane. You were hoping she would come so you can't say you're not disappointed. "No worries. You're gonna be there tomorrow though right?"
"Isn't Sabina gonna be there?" She glanced briefly back at you, yanking on one of the knives stuck in the bored.
"Yeah and Elena too but I want you there too. I only get my wings once," You flash your best puppy dog face, batting your eyelashes. "Please. You promised."
The last blade came loose, and she walks back towards you. Noticing your expression, she sighed softly. "Fine."
You jumped on the woman, pulling her into a surprise hug; careful to avoid the sharp metal in her hand.
"Dude hurry it up. I wanna see how drunk we can get before the sun goes down."
You both glance towards Sabina then back at each other. Waving your hand dismissively, you let out an awkward little laugh. "She's kidding, we're gonna day drink responsibly."
"I know you're lying."
With a playful wink, you walk back up the stairs. Giving her a little wave as you go. "See you later, have fun training." Sabina puts one arm around you as you walk up beside her, pulling you into flush against her. "Where's Elena?"
"Patience, young angel, she's coming."
"Not an angel" You remind her.
"Soon to be."
"Where's the future angel?" You'd recognise Elena's voice anywhere and just as you unravel from Sabina a pair of arms grab you from behind. "I'm so proud of you."
"Thanks." You comment, slipping from her grip. Sabina leads the charge turning around to the two of you.
"You're gonna make a great angel."
"I'm ready to get so drunk I don't even know my name."
"When are you ever not?" You tease, pushing her out the doors with Elena giggling behind you.
You headed downtown to a small, rather empty bar then again it was two in the afternoon. There were like five people max and three of them were you guys. The other two seemed like regulars. One was sat the other end of the bar, staring up at a small TV that was playing some sporting event. The other was a woman, sitting alone in a booth looking as miserable as ever. Your cheery attitude didn't seem to be received well by her but that didn't matter. Taking up three stools at the bar, Sabina starts the festivities off with shots and by the time the sun went down, you had no concept of time anymore. The entire night just blending into one.
With your ear firmly pressed to the receiver of a tabletop red phone, you listened to the dial tone ring and ring and ring. Humming along as you waited. Sabina was sat in a chair next to you while Elena was next to her.
"H-hello?" The voice was heavy with sleep and you can't really blame her considering the time but you're grateful she answered. She sounded so cute when she was sleepy.
"Jane!"
"Y/N? Is everything all right? Why are you calling me at," there was a moments pause. "Three A.M?"
"Are you mad? P-please don't be mad."
"Hi Jane," Sabina called loudly down your ear so you shove her away.
"What did you do?"
"I didn't do anything but Sabina said you'd probably be mad and I don't... I don't want you to be mad at me, okay? I don't know anyone else's number by heart so I had to call you-"
"You're rambling," Jane interrupts bringing you to a stop. When you drank you seemed to gain the confidence to become chatty. You could go on for hours about nothing at all. It was a real talent. The only shame is you can't be drunk all the time otherwise life would be simpler.
"You would know Jane's-"
"Shut up Sabina." Your palm collides with her cheek shoving her away from the phone. She pushed back against your hand.
"Let me talk to her,"
"No, I'm talking to her."
"Y/N," Sabina whines.
"Go away." With gritted teeth, you push back harder giving Elena the chance to take the phone. You continue to playfully fight with Sabina until you're both scolded by a cute officer who sat behind a desk not too far away. It was late so not much was happening. A few people waiting to get booked. Two officers were chatting over a cup of coffee. Elena was now explaining the situation as best she could with zero pauses or interruptions from a drunk Sabina.
"Tell her we are at the station." You utter in a louder whisper than intended. "Tell her she has to come pick us up but make it very clear that Sabina is to blame because I've never done a single thing wrong in my entire life. I was well behaved like always."
"That is not true." Sabina shoves into you, stretching over your lap to grab the phone. Elena just moves away slightly. "She's always blaming everything on me. I didn't do anything- make that clear. Not a single thing."
Elena shushed the both of you and you couldn't help but giggle. Finishing up her conversation, she finally hung up the phone and placed it back in its holder before sitting down next to you. "Jane said she'll be right over."
"How long?" You wonder, letting your head fall to rest against her shoulder.
"Not sure."
"Can't we just leave then. They're not charging us."
"They want someone to come get us." With no clue how long she'll be you decide nows a good time to rest your tired eyes. Feeling the weight of Sabina as she falls to rest her head against you. Drifting off into a relatively light sleep.
When you're awake, you jump a little at the sight of Jane staring down at with a stern face. Arms folded across her chest. A dopey smile spreads over your lips as you reach out for her. "Jane! You came."
"Excuse my friend here," Sabina yawned, patting your shoulder. "she's a little drunk."
"No, I'm not." You argue, shaking your head rapidly. "I'm fine. Just happy Jane is here- Hi Jane."
"Hi Y/N." Her voice was surprisingly gentle. you're glad she's here but you feel bad for making her get out of bed. "Come on, Let's get you in the car."
Pushing up, you trip over your feet and fall forward into Jane's awaiting arms. "Whoa there. You alright there? Think you can walk?"
"Carry me." You whine softly, pushing your bottom lip out in a pout. Jane helped you stand up straight, the world around you feeling a little dizzy.
"I gotcha." Sabine insists. bending her knees. "Get on my back."
You climb onto Sabina's back, wrapping your arms carefully around her neck as to not strangle her. She supports you by looping her arms around your legs, hiking you up a little higher into a piggyback. "Ready?"
You nod a little, holding her tighter. "Let's go superman."
"Come on, Jane." Sabina starts running towards the door and although you feel uneasy you can't help but giggle. Elena is already out the door while Jane simply trails behind.
You're sat in the back of Jam's car, watching the world pass by out the window. The motion was not agreeing with you so the pressure was on to not puke everywhere was high. Sabina sat to your left, Elena was in the passenger's seat with Jane behind the wheel. Nobody was talking and for some reason, Jane wouldn't put on the radio no matter how many times you asked.
"I can't believe you three." Jane finally scolded
"Really," Sabina questions. You rolled down the window a little, needing the fresh morning air.
"Okay, maybe I expect this from you but not you two."
"Jane?" Sabina leaned forward against the back of the driver's seat. "Do you want to know a secret?"
"Depends,"
"It's about Y/N. She spills secrets if you get enough alcohol in her." You glance towards Sabina, unsure of where this was going. There were so many possibilities. "Seems our dear friend here has a little crush on-"
"Shush," you leap on the woman. Had you really told her about your crush on Jane or was she just teasing? Given the circumstances, you weren't willing to risk it. "Please don't."
You lay in her lap and without asking, Sabina starts running her hand through your hair. "You're looking a little pale there bud."
"Yeah I feel like I'm gonna puke and I'm not opposed to doing it all over you if you tell them."
"Do not puke in my car," Jane growled.
"Wait where was I when you were sharing this?"
"Bathroom," Sabina replies. "Don't worry it was no one special."
Crisis averted for now.
The pounding in your head was paired nicely with the pit in your stomach. A rough groan as your eyes flutter open to a place far too bathed in sunlight for your liking. Wait... this isn't your apartment? When did you get here?
"Rise and shine sleepyhead."
"Where am I?"
"My apartment." Pushing up, you feel overwhelmed by dizziness. Jane stands before you; fresh-faced and taking a bite of a small banana. How did she manage to always look so good? You look around the room, expecting to spy the others but it's just the two of you.
"What happened to... to Sabina?"
"Taken over my bed, she crawled into it as soon as we got here. You passed out on the couch while Elena who seemed to the only competent one got in an Uber."
"I blame... Sabina." You face planted the arm of the couch, feeling like you got hit by a truck.
"I heard. You shouted it down the phone at the station, after you got arrested for getting into a fight," she explained, disapproval laced in her voice. You vaguely remember a fight, more like an argument that resulted in Sabina punching a man.
"Fuck," you mumble, turning your head to the side. Cheek pressed into the fabric, sore eyes focused on Jane. "Sorry for making you come pick us up."
"What happened to responsible day drinking?"
You laugh weakly at the joke. "That went down with the first shot."
"You're gonna have to get up," Jane urges. "Big day and all."
"What's today?"
"Your wings."
"My tattoo." You push up instantly, the throbbing intensifying to the point your entire face scrunches up in pain and you have to take a moment. "I'm gonna be a fucking angel."
"Are you okay?"
"A little hungover- Maybe still a little drunk." You reply, letting your body fall back down with a painful thump. "I'm gonna go back to sleep until it's time."
"Y/N, it's-"
"They say the best way to cure a hangover is to keep drinking. I'm gonna need an aspirin and some vodka."
"No vodka." Jane scolded, pointing in her direction. "Water. I have orange juice too in the fridge."
Sabina was stood in the kitchen area, half-dressed but still doing better than you seemed to be. She saluted before pulling open the fridge. "You know Jane, you really should consider being more fun."
"Leave Jane alone." You grumble, sitting up entirely. A glass of water sat on the glass coffee which you happy took along with the aspirin.
"No one asked you." She huffed, pulling out a carton of fresh orange. Twisting off the cap, she must have been debating downing it straight because she paused before getting a glass.
"Fuck you Beany."
"Love you too." She took a sip of her glass of juice before gently placing it down. Flinching at the sound. "Say it back."
Jane smiles at you. "Do you want me to take you home? You are in dire need of a shower, no offense. So are you, Sabina. My apartment reeks of alcohol."
"You are just full of complaints, Janey." She downed the rest of her juice. "I can make my own way home. I'm a big girl but I'm sure Y/N would love to."
"I'll take a ride, I'm not sure I can make it home by myself."
After Sabina finally put her pants back on, she headed home while you took Jane up on her offer. The car ride was pretty quiet, your head in shambles under the bright lunchtime sun. You had apparently slept for most of the morning which makes sense. The drive was silent. You didn't want to say anything in case she was mad and Jane kept to herself. You'd occasionally glance towards her but nothing would follow. It didn't take long for her to drive to the drop off point although it felt a lot longer.
"Thanks," you state with a quick smile as she pulls up outside your block.
"No problem. Sober up and I'll see you later." She returned your smile and you can't help but smile a little brighter. You got out of the car, closing the door behind you. "Oh and Y/N."
"Yeah?"
"You having a crush on me was never a secret." She drives away before you can even think of a way to respond. Sabina had definitely snitched at some point.

Lina Schlitz (Shingeki no Kyojin OC)
HEYAAAAAAAA its me again i made a really big mess of the old char sheet because i did it at like 3am so i decided i would redo it !! thanks again <333
H: it’s fine! For the second time (bc Mod Eris is lazy!!!!) I’ll be the only reviewer. Under the cut, because this one is long!
Name: Lina Schlitz - リナシュリッツ
H: Shlitz is actually a name that has mid-German origins--nothing to fix here, it’s right on the SnK map!
Nicknames: Querida - pet in portuguese, given by her grandma. Idiot - given by some of her squad members. (i dont really have any other ideas for nicknames plz alp)
H: Most nicknames I’ve had or given come from inside jokes or shared experiences--a joke about her age when she started training or an alias from a battle, maybe?
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Birthday: 18/11/833 - scorpio (so she would be in the …. 102nd squad i think ? as she would be 17 by the time eren, mikasa, armin & the squad were 15… .although i kinda wanna make her older . .. should i?)
H: I honestly like making my characters older--older characters have more extensive backstories and more room for creativity. However, it’s your choice in the end! (And I’m pretty sure if she was 17 while the trio were 15, she’d be in the 102nd.)
Faceclaim: michiko malandro (from michiko and hatchin)
(i think this one is the most accurate - hairstyle , face, everything, n expression)
(without the chains tho… and the survey corps uniform… and shorter hair)
H: She’s so pretty cri
-personality:
positives;
brave - lina is not afraid to put herself in danger or do risky things, so she can get things done better than most people
decisive - she can throw her humanity out of the window to make decisions
honest - she doesn’t really care what people think of her, so she will often say what she thinks to your face
direct - as above, lina gets straight to the point
observant - she often notices the little details, from environment to facial expressions or body language
realistic - she knows that she might die any day, and she lives life to the fullest
simple - relating to her trait of being realistic, lina views life in a simple way - you either die or you don’t, and if you don’t, then you better make the most of it
kind - despite not showing it much, lina is actually quite kind due to her grandparents and parents raising her to be a good lil child
neutrals;
competitive - she loves a good competition and will never back down from a challenge
sarcastic - lina uses sarcasm to make people laugh and hide her true feelings
unsentimental - as mentioned in her trait description of decisive, she knows that her
comrades, family, and friends can die any day and they have a high chance of it too, so lina detaches herself from them as much as possible
tough - lina can power through a lot of situations, as she contains her emotions on the inside
calculating - she can observe a situation and make a decision off of it, but also she is good at making plans
strong-willed - lina will not give up. ever. no way hozay
perfectionist - everything must be perfect - including her statistics, battle technique, horse, and mostly everything under the sun. however most things aren’t perfect which annoys her to no end
negative;
cocky - lina can often overestimate herself, in battle and in casual situations, which leads to her putting herself and her comrades in danger
brittle - her emotions are easily hurt, although she doesn’t show it
manipulative - lina will lead people on if it benefits her
compulsive - she often acts off of instincts and emotions alone, tying in with being cocky
disrespectful - adding in to lina’s trait of being honest, she often disrespects her superiors, elders, and anyone on the planet if she feels like it - which doesn’t make her that likeable
hostile - being hostile to keep people at a distance means that lina doesn’t have many friends
inconsiderate - as long as it is good enough for lina, it is good enough for you so you better not complain got it got it ok
messy - lina’s bed is often unmade and her appearance is disheveled
mannerless - tying in with being disrespectful, she often licks her plates, chews with her mouth open, talks while speaking, disrespects her superiors, ect
neurotic - despite not showing it, lina often has anxiety attacks about her past and friends, and what will happen to her (her symptoms include nausea, fear of dying, a racing heart, and heightened senses - including trembling and sweating, also staring off into space)
possessive - lina is possessive of her possessions, her friends, herself, and mostly everything that she views belongs to her
procrastinator - she often pushes things like apologising, doing training, and eating, off until the last minute
sly - tying in with lina’s trait of being manipulative, she can worm her way into someones mind quite easily and manipulate them for her own gain
uncooperative - she is terrible at teamwork, believing that everyone is ‘cramping her style’ and slowing her down, so she often refuses to work in a team and has to be forced - unless she is the leader, and then she loves to boss everyone around
sadistic - lina enjoys cutting the limbs off of titans before she kills them, however only ones that remind her of the one that killed her grandma and family - the others she has a strange interest in
cold - she often pushes people away, rejects friendship offers, and isolates herself
stubborn - once lina has decided she is doing something, there is no changing her mind
hot-tempered - she often flies off of the handle when provoked or annoyed, or if she is in a bad mood
H: So, from skimming, I’m summarizing her personality as appearing outwardly cold (though she doesn’t always mean to be) but actually being a lot different and less intense when you get to know her.
-appearance:
Hair Colour: brown-black
Hair Length/Style: mid-back length, extremely straight - tied in a high ponytail (so it is around the length of kristas/sashas)
Eye Colour: nut brown (very dark brown) with bits of lighter brown
Skin Colour: bronze-coloured
H; Seeing as the SnKverse is mostly white and light-skinned, how does her race affect her life? I’m guessing that once the Titans arrive, people don’t care what the heck you look like if you’re the one saving their asses, but maybe when she was a child?
Body build: mesomorph, a mix of hourglass and inverted triangle - lean
H: As she continues her training, she’ll begin losing weight and her hourglass figure will be less dramatic. If you want to write/draw her according to the timeline of her training, that’s a good thing to keep in mind!
Demeanor: relaxed - arms crossed, leaning on walls, slouched in chairs, head tilted back, head resting on table
Ethnicity: Brazilian/Portuguese/German/English (where is the story set in ??? nobody knows)
H: I’m not certain myself, but I made a post on where the story most likely takes place. Brazil isn’t on the map, though. You could make her Brazilian ancestry from her grandparents or great-grandparents who immigrated north. Then again, the map isn’t canon, so who cares?
Height: 5'3
Weight: 8 stone 6
H: She’s slightly underweight, but enough that’s it’s realistic for a malnourished environment.
Scars: One down her right arm, due to when a titan had her in its mouth during an expedition and, although one of her teammates killed it, it’s jaw fell onto her arm when it hit the ground and broke her arm.
-statistics:
Combat: 9/10
Hand to Hand Combat: 7/10
Agility: 4/10
Initiative: 8/10
Wits: 5/10
Teamwork: 4/10
3D Maneuvering Gear: 6/10
Offense: 9/10
Defense: 4/10
Cockiness: 10/10
Titan Kills:
Solo: 11
In team: 21 (is this ok ?? i assumed since she was 2 years older, p good at fighting, and in the scouting legion, that she would have a higher kill count than say, mikasa, even though she’s an ackerman, because mikasa is 2 years younger and hasn’t been on that many expeditions)
H: Sure! The 102nd would most likely have a pretty high kill count, seeing as a lot of battles happen after their training.
Grad Rank: 1st (ahh is this ok too? i thought since she was in the 102nd squad, and her family was in the military, that she could be 1st since there aren’t any y'know titan shifters or ackermans in her squad)
H: Also fine! The 104th was a special case--standards likely wouldn’t be as high in other training corps.
Grade: A
background:
lina’s ancestors moved with most of the world to germany inside the walls, the only safe place on the eartha lot of her family died on the way, only two survived along with a few other people - a wife and her husband, alanza and lucas santos - not much older than 18.
when they made it to the walls, they were given a small, one bedroom house inside wall maria, shinganshina district as they were one of the last people to arrive.
after a few years, they had a child together, and his name was to be victor. they taught their native language, portuguese told him to teach it to his future children to keep their country alive.
lucas decided to enroll in the military and joined the garrison to try and keep his family safe, but he was tragically killed when an abnormal titan flung themselves on top of the wall and ran along it, crushing the garrison underfoot.
it was eventually killed, with the help of one of the first elite teams and the scouting legion. lucas was one of the soldiers tragically killed in the attack and alanza was left to raise victor by herself.
when victor was a teenager, he too joined the military - scouting legion - despite his mothers wishes. he managed to survive, however, long enough for him to be promoted to team leader - and for his arm to be bitten off in a mission, not long after his promotion. he was discharged by the military and met a girl by the name of hanna.
it was love at first sight, and they married only a few months after they met - after all, they could die at any time. alanza was soon a grandmother to a child of the name sofia.
by this time, the schlitz/santos line had become quite legendary in the walls, due to their skill and unwavering determination to help mankind. this cycle of the generations was continued until it got to maria and dedrick - lina’s grandparents. their father, abe, had been brutally eaten alive by a titan. due to this they were both firmly against any of their children or grandchildren joining the military in fear of their safety, and so the cycle ended. that is, until lina was born from delmira and adelchi - maria and dedrick’s daughter and step-son.
as soon as abe saw her face he knew she would join the military despite anyones wishes. as lina grew up, abe’s prediction slowly came true - she idolized the military due to their unwavering bravery and optimism that humanity would win the war between them and titans.
she was often caught sneaking out of her house to watch the scouting legion coming home from missions, cheering them on despite the crowds nervous and dejected muttering. so it was no surprise when, on her 12th birthday, the first thing she asked for was to join the military. (that lil shmishirt)
she persisted until her grandparents were brought to her house the next day from their home in wall rose. they told her of all the dangers, and yet she still persisted. they finally agreed - but only because lina’s father said he would join with her.
as soon as the words came out of his mouth, a loud bang rang out that shook the floor and caused panicked screaming to be erupted from outside. lina’s family rushed through their front door, only for them to be met with a crowd of people sprinting past, yelling and screaming.
they pushed through the crowd and found themselves at the back of another crowd, all staring up at the wall. a giant titan, over 50 metres tall, was standing behind it - looking down at the people of shiganshina with a blank expression, its hand clutching the wall. steam came off of it, increasing the temperature of lina despite how far away it was.
her family was frozen, huddling together and clutching each others hands. maria - lina’s grandmother - was clutching the cross and figures of wall maria, rose, and sina attached to her necklace and praying.
the titan moved its foot back and kicked the gate, sending it splintering all over the town. titans waiting behind it were catapulted forwards, crushing citizens and soldiers along with the multiple boulders.
lina’s family turned and ran as fast as they could. despite being old, lina’s grandparents were fit and kept up with her family - delmira dragging lina by her hand.
they made it to the docks in wall maria just as the last boat was leaving. delmira, with lina in tow, immediately began to shove her way to the front to plead with the soldiers to let lina on board. they denied her request and delmira whispered something to lina. they hugged each other as long as possible before delmira broke away and disappeared into the crowd.
luckily, the guards were distracted by the giant horde of people trying to break through. lina ran up the docks, as far away from the crowd as possible, and found herself level with a boat - it looked full to the brim. lina looked to the next one and eyed it apprehensively. stepping back a few paces, she sprinted as fast as possible towards the ledge. pushing herself off of it. her hands reached out to the edge of the boat, but the side of the boat was slippery and her hands couldn’t get a grip in time.
lina scrabbled for a grip, her fingers of her left hand slowly slipping off as she began to fall, but before she could, her wrist was snatched up by a calloused hand.
she looked up to see a friend of her mothers, adelmo weber, holding onto her arm. he pulled her up and onto the boat, despite the outrage that burst from the lips of the citizens that there wasn’t any space left on the boat, and even though she was just a child, he should have not saved her.
lina looked back just in time to see the crowd of people frantically running away - towards wall rose - from a titan, nearly 10 metres tall, picking them up and eating them like insects. the manic crowd drew level with lina’s boat, and she made eye contact with her grandma - at the back, out of breath - as she was snatched up by the titan.
lina screamed loudly, screaming at her grandmother to fight, fight the titan and get to wall rose - but it was futile.
the titan bit maria in half and let her severed legs fall to the ground as lina finally reached the edge of the boat, stretching out her hand to her grandmothers half-eaten corpse and the rest of her family.
the crowd was surrounded by titans coming from both sides and they were all massacred.
lina slumped down to the floor of the boat, and cried until she could cry no more. she slept until they reached wall rose.
H; Holy crap, all of this when she was 12? Poor kid! She probably has a lot of left-over trauma and stress from that day: PTSD, anxiety, possibly some extreme paranoia and OCD-like tendencies to check over and over that everything is okay.
the arrival of the boats was not received well by the residents of wall rose. they immediately began to riot about food shortages, overpopulation and that the titans would be drawn to the bigger population of wall rose.
lina exited across the drawbridge with the swarm of people who was on her boat, and they were promptly greeted by being pushed back by the citizens of wall rose.
they said that the other boats were too full, and they would not have enough room for all of the people on lina’s boat. the people onboard rioted immediately, calling out where would they go, would you be so heartless as to send us back - until they were silenced by the garrison and military police separating the brawling crowds.
they told all the refugees to go to the town square, where the people of appropriate build and age would be enlisted to the military with no choice, while the rest would go to work in the fields.
lina was enlisted despite being only just 12, and so began the start of her journey.
H: Woah, that’s young, even for SnK! Was she the only recruit of her age? Was she the focus of unwanted attention because of it? I have a student one year younger than the rest of the class at school and he’s always being picked on by the teacher (who I hate but that’s another story).
-trivia:
knows portuguese and when she is angry she slips in and out of it (for example, you are todas as dicas i hate eu estou para te you) also when she is tired or distracted she does too (i quero sleep por how tempo até as lights) this is because although her first language is english/german, her family spoke mainly portuguese at their home
H: My parents’ first languages were French and Arabic, and they do this all the time too! Nothing really important, I just wanted to add that. :)
she has the loudest, most boisterous laugh ever - although nobody has ever properly heard it
lina snores so loud she often kept the rest of her dormies awake
biggest sweet tooth ever - even though she rarely gets to eat anything other than beef stew and rations
H: This might not have been intentional, but people who experience traumatic events as children usually end up keeping childlike qualities with them for a long amount of time. Having a sweet tooth or sleeping with toys is not unusual for someone who went through what she did.
she has a bit of a portuguese/brazilian accent, mixed with english/german
lina cuts her own hair
her name means the heroes river, or river of light
SUMMARY-
H: To be honest, this character’s pretty airtight! There’s not much you really need to change on this one. She’s believable but still interesting enough to be a main character. Overall, great job!!
