I'm so glad it captured you so! The concept of the boys having adventures in the feywild came up during some of my endless chats about the AU with @dullgecko because of their version of fey-adjacent Riz.

Which has spiralled from us joking about the Court of Stars believing that Riz is a fey that Fabian bound to his service (though Sir Durden thinks it's the other way around) to this little feywild arc where Riz and Fabian Maximum Legend face off with the Goblin King.

I hope you enjoy the rest of it (whenever we get around to writing it) and all of the developments that come from that Goblin King fight. Because they are numerous and, honestly, a bit unhinged.

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

Hmm... I love those kind of intense conversations that spill out when you just can't take it anymore and it all comes loose and it's desperate and messy and sometimes cruel, but frank and necessary too. Can't say I've written it that much though. I guess I also like scenes that are like... echoes. Repetition. Like someone says something that they said to you once, a long time ago, in a different context, but you understand, and for a moment it bridges the great gulf of distance between two people who once were close. Or someone says something to someone that they once said to someone else, and only you, the reader, understand the deep significance, the parallels and symmetry. Stuff like that I guess.

🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?

I still think these two fics are pretty funny: 1 2 I also think the whole taxi exchange concept from this fic is really funny but it kind of got overshadowed by the angst and navel-gazing. 😅 But the little interlude with Murumatsu where's he's like: "I'm beginning to suspect this is not a legitimate taxi company" still makes me laugh. Some of Yachi's ramblings in this fic I think are also kind of funny, like when she imagines Tsukkishima's backstory lol.

😈 Has there been a point in a story where you did something just to be playfully mean to your readers?

No! I am never mean! Or rather, I try not to think about the fact there is someone reading my story lol. And finally I would not torment a reader because I am amazed they exist at all.

✍ Do you have a beta reader?

Oh no, definitely not. I don't want anyone to read my story (I want everyone to read my stories), let alone someone who is going to point out all the dumb mistakes I made. 😂 No but I don't really have anyone to ask, and I think I'm usually critical enough of my own writing to edit on my own.

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

Hmm, let's see... History, I guess. How the past affects the present. The legacy of the past we cannot escape. How our history shapes us and makes us into the person we are today. Maybe also something about loneliness, the impossibility of completely understanding another person but also the beauty of the world and its connections no matter how brief.

🎢 Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

I suppose out of the fics I currently have published maybe it would be this Fire Emblem one? It's pretty silly. I don't think any of my fics are very wild though. 😅 They tend to be more plodding. There is this one fic I had on fanfiction.net for a while that was kind of wild. So back in the day when I was reading a lot of Fire Emblem fics, self-inserts were very popular. So this story was sort of a spoof on that. It was about this girl who is a big fan of Fire Emblem who gets transported to Crimea (which as we know is a country in Tellius) and initially she thinks she's living out a some sort of mary sue fanfic but actually it is the 19th century on the planet earth and she is in the middle of the Crimean War. Anyway I took it down because it was barely even fanfiction and wasn't really that well-written anyways. XD Interesting concept, but needed a lot more work. Actually I had a lot of really wild concepts back in the day that I never got around to finishing.

I will say, nobody pinpoints exactly the themes and ideas I want to read about quite like me. 😂 I mean, there are certainly times when I'm too critical about my writing but for the most part I reread it and I'm like wow this is so good. So profound and beautiful and lyrical. Nobody else gets it like I get it. By which I mean it seems like I look for different things in fics than most people, so it's a rare treat to read something that is exactly what I want to read. It makes me glad that I wrote the story.
