anyways here are them for vacay, my half joke half not oc!!!! 💌 (Love Letter) - How easy are they to befriend? Are they more of a social butterfly or a lone wolf? I'd think they'd be easy to befriend, he usually scares people off with his looks but for a loooong while now, he's trying to make himself more presentable and more silly and fun :) he's a former lone wolf who realized the lone life style wasn't what he wanted. a serviceable one, yes, but everything's better with a friend or two !! why was he a lone wolf though? he was scared of his own powers (he might still be, just a little ;)) 🪐 (Saturn) - What planet are they from? Is it in Gamble Galaxy, Another Dimension, the Mirror World, the New World, or somewhere else? Where do they live now?: Y'know, when I first semi-unjokified this guy he was originally from the Mirror World, an intentional contrast to the other dark and gloomy citizens, perhaps a message of "it doesn't matter where you come from" lies in there or something. his origin now? Idk, gm_construct ig oh and also he most likely lives on popstar now, its all so nice and happy and care free!!!! ⚡️ (Lightning Bolt) - Which Power Effects [Blizzard, Bluster, Sizzle, Splash, Zap] would their attacks grant? Do they have any particular weaknesses or resistances, elemental or otherwise? I think he'd be the one gaining power effects from attacks, however, he might have some moves that have specific elements attached to them. Weaknesses? idk, does votekicking count? jkjk! it'd probably be like possession, not really weak to the possession process (probably the same as anyone else), but worried to what would happen afterwards. ☀️ (Sun) - What’s their morning routine like? Do they take a lot of time getting ready in the morning? How do they groom themselves? What are they having for breakfast? wake up, check cellular device, breakfast(?), shower to the best of their abilities, dry, then do what they planned on doing. it tries to not take too much time on getting ready, he loves mornings! i dont know if he can take off his vacation shirt but he doesnt really mind so he just showers in it, hey, two birds one stone amirite? really it just depends, i dont think they need food, I just think that if he feels like it and maybe if kirby or somebody got him some food yesterday he could eat the leftovers. 🥘 (Stew) - Do they have any favourite foods or comfort foods? What are their eating habits like? If absorbed by the Cook ability, what healing item would they summon? I dont actually know, they'd probably eat almost anything that should be eaten, specific favorite foods are tough, watermelons probably, they have plenty of experiences with those. eat when low on health or if on a special occasion/craving something specific. If absorbed, probably also gonna go with watermelons.

idk if this is a question for you or for Maya Kern or if it's even a polite thing to ask (I'm sorry if it's not!!) but like. have you ever considered/would it be possible to do skirts with the pattern covering the entire thing, rather than just around the base of the skirt? I love love love your pattern art and I was just thinking that the tomato pattern in particular would be sooooo extra cute as a seamless pattern covering all the fabric 💕

firstly: totally an okay thing to ask!! I don't mind skirt questions at all, I think this kind of thing is probably okay to throw at either of us, but her inbox is frequently blowing up! I've made mostly hem designs so far, but I absolutely do wanna make some skirts w allover patterns!!!! adapting the tomatoes (and maybe other designs?) into pattern grids is something that I think could be so fun. the tomatoes in particular, I thought this was such a good idea so I did a mockup for it:

so that's not a greenlight for putting it on clothes-- but it's a fun good idea that i want to keep in mind for later, because I *do* like the loop :3 aside from that, i already do have some skirts in my mind that are all-over designs, though they aren't traditional pattern loops! these were some skirt drafts from my last batch of pitches, and maya helped me pick a couple of the landscape designs that i'm workshopping!! so there's also that!

nortriptyline. Its a tricyclic antidepressant I'm trying since none of the other classes like SSRIs have been working. These days they typically wait until youve tried other medications before prescribing these old ones since they effect way more inhibitors in your body than just the ones in your brain, like they aren't selective. so you have a much higher chance of feeling a lot of the side effects which tend to focus on other parts of the body. for this med, breast swelling is kinda common along with dizziness, fatigue, strange mouth taste, constipation, etc

Theres no "guarantee" it'll make your breasts grow, its a side effect like the others, it may or may not happen but its something to keep in mind especially if your a guy or masc, since that type of breast tissue doesn't go away

Saw that you’re removing the Deinos from your rewrite of Lostbelt 7. I feel like you’re missing out on keeping them. Part of why they are written the way that they are is that they’re meant to be juxtaposed against the fae of Britain, as well as offering an answer to Wodime’s plan about an evolved humanity. I guess that the relationship to the other Lostbelts isn’t required because it’s a fan work meant to stand alone, but I can’t help that you’re losing something by not having them in the story at all.

I'm gonna give an actual answer instead of slagging off on Nasu again because this is like the only good faith ask I've gotten about this. There's two components, the problematic aspect and the "frankly i agree with your idea of paralleling the other lostbelt populations through the idea of evolution, but I dont think they even did that idea well with lb7."

Even removing the "black people = apes with guns" thing, it's still an issue when this is the only lostbelt to have a distinctly non-human population. Even the fae and yaga are still humanoids, but for South America they literally said "animals with guns" its just a matter of whether its as on the nose as making them primates.

Then there's the obvious issue of tone. Even discounting the problematic stuff, this is obviously presented as a joke. It's literally a punchline in itself of being a childish fantasy of "dinosaurs with guns". Not even dino people, just straight up literal dinosaurs with guns. It's at BEST lazy in how its not anything unique, compared to something like the Yaga which are distinctly their own thing as opposed to just "werewolves with guns".

So even if we swallow our morals about the racism, I think we can do better than this. It's shameful that the racist "monkeys with guns to represent POCs" designs are actually much better and more interesting than the dinos. Hence why I'm specifically reusing a couple of those designs (without the guns and racist context of course) but throwing out the dinos entirely.

Which brings us to my rewrite and how it actually does the idea you mentioned of focusing on an "evolution" of humanity.

Without going into too much detail before I ever do a proper write up of things, the equivant to the dinofolk in my rewrite is instead the Zonbi. As in the original meaning of the term from Hatian Vodou (and using the Creole spelling to match) of a being that has died but has yet to be granted release from life - a being whose proper time has come and gone but it has not been allowed to leave the mortal coil. The world of this Lostbelt 7 has been reset countless times in a way certainly inspired by Lostbelt 4 but with some crucial differences that result in humanity being reset along with everything else. Up above in the surface of Xibalba humanity is constantly evolving at extreme pace and being reset just as often for "deviating". These deviations are wiped away and whatever remnants are left get cast into Mictlan below, creating a colony of "imperfect" humanities.

In other words its a microcosm of the pruning phenomenon and an explicit showcase of how it correlates to Darwinian evolution.
